To quickly find your chrome/firefox version for us to help, open the devtools/inspect element (usually ctrl + shift + i or Cmd + Option + i)
Go to the Console tab (screenshot below) and type in navigator.userAgent (then press enter obviously) and screenshot
If it does not let you paste, type allow pasting (then press enter obviously) and try again

For the chrome extension, vencord only supports version 111 and above
For the firefox extension, vencord only supports version 128 and above

i have a mac and a windows desktop, i got vencord to work on both browsers and the desktop client, but when i try to do it on mac, nothing happens. ive tried uninstalling, reinstalling, and restarting my pc. when i download the installer and open it, nothing happens

I ended up having to backup my Vencord folder of themes and settings, uninstalling the Vencord Patch, uninstalling Discord, wiping all files related to Discord on my computer, then reinstalling everything to get it the error to go away. Again, the error never affected standalone Discord so I have no idea if there was some conflicting old and unused files that Vencord didn't like, but cleaning out all the old files and doing a fresh install did the trick for me. Hope this helps.

Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

i tried to screenshare minecraft to a friend and i expected for the screenshare to run smoothly since i chose the "prefer smoothness" option alongside 60fps and 1080p, every single time i've tried to screenshare anything, not just minecraft, even my entire screen, the same thing happens. to reproduce the issue is as simple as sharing your screen, using "prefer clarity" or "prefer smoothness" makes no difference. actually, nothing makes any difference. screensharing in dms and screensharing to a server achieves the same thing, it's almost as if i'm screensharing at 10fps, which is strange, since i'm choosing 60fps. i am able to vc someone to show them at any point.

alright so here's the deal. I see no updates available (Armcord doesn't have the updater tab at all, so uh) by using the js Updater.checkForUpdates() function
that returns false
with vencord injected, default config, it will crash (often after switching to channels, I haven't been able to nail exactly what causes it)

i tried to screenshare minecraft to a friend and i expected for the screenshare to run smoothly since i chose the "prefer smoothness" option alongside 60fps and 1080p, every single time i've tried to screenshare anything, not just minecraft, even my entire screen, the same thing happens. to reproduce the issue is as simple as sharing your screen, using "prefer clarity" or "prefer smoothness" makes no difference. actually, nothing makes any difference. screensharing in dms and screensharing to a server achieves the same thing, it's almost as if i'm screensharing at 10fps, which is strange, since i'm choosing 60fps. i am able to vc someone to show them at any point. it can't be a hardware issue and this only started when i got vesktop.

Why do I get logged out after opening DevTools?

Discord tries to protect you from getting scammed by "hiding" your token when you open DevTools, which means it deletes it from storage and only keeps it in memory in order to make it harder to obtain.

If you now close discord before closing DevTools again, your token will not be saved anywhere anymore and as a consequence you will be logged out

Solution: Close DevTools before closing discord or better yet enable the NoDevtoolsWarning plugin which removes this "feature"

Hi! I started using the Vesktop app recently and have been having an issue where when joining a call on vesktop my microphone's volume plummets. Initially I thought this was chrome so I disabled the setting related to WebRTC. Unfortunately it never went away :/. Vesktop provides me with the ability to screenshare on linux while also using plugins I love so I'd rlly like to continue using it! Any solutions? This screenshot is a bit extreme but I just yelled into my microhphone while vesktop was closed and then again when I opened it and joined a voice chat

seems to be an "issue" created with Vencord, I tried doing it on a stock Version of Discord (Canary) and didn't have the same outcome.

1. Make sure discord is fully closed in task manager

2. Press "take me there"

3. Make sure you are in the discord folder, if not, go there

4. ctrl+a and delete (aka, delete everything in the folder)

5. Go back a folder (outside of the discord folder, it'll either be ProgramData or your windows username)

6. Delete the discord folder

7. Now open discord

• If it works, cool, install vencord
• If not: reinstall discord, install vencord
