and i dragged vesktop to the trash from my apps folder and then cleared the trash & redownloaded vesktop from https://vencord.dev/download/vesktop/universal/dmg

Hello I'm using the vencord extension for firefox (built from source) and this started happening recently (and still is after updating)

I use an extension called midnight lizard, it's a bit resource intensive (at least on some settings and some sites) but super configurable and I find it just works better than dark reader for an example

Sorry for butting in, but are there any alternative ways to fix Vencord Web? I've already tried clearing site data, restarting my chromebook, reinstalling vencord web; nothing is working and Vencord isn't appearing in the Discord Web. 😭

To quickly find your chrome/firefox version for us to help, open the devtools/inspect element (usually ctrl + shift + i or Cmd + Option + i)
Go to the Console tab (screenshot below) and type in navigator.userAgent (then press enter obviously) and screenshot
If it does not let you paste, type allow pasting (then press enter obviously) and try again

For the chrome extension, vencord only supports version 111 and above
For the firefox extension, vencord only supports version 128 and above

Hi! I'm on Endeavour OS, KDE Plasma 6.1.2.
When attempting to stream, a menu pops up with what screen/window i want to stream, then when i select one, the audio and video settings. If i then press stream, a stream starts that won't load and the first menu pops up again. When i close this menu, the stream crashes.
I'm on the latest version of Vesktop.

Does someone know a fix?

Hi I'm on manjaro gnome wayland and user the vesktop-bin package from the AUR.
Vesktop is shown as Chromium in volume mixers like pavucontrol, I can't differentiate it from other chromium apps this way. Is there a way to fix this?

No. These packages are maintained by people (usually) unrelated to Vencord. We can't provide support for unofficial repackages of Vencord unless it's an actual bug in the mod itself (except when such bugs occur due to the repackage).

Hello. I updated my Vesktop today. I've always used the portable Windows version, and when I'm updating I'd just simply empty the installation directory and put the files of the new version there. The latest version, however, said that the settings are now stored in a portable folder? Hello. I re installed my Windows 11 a few hours ago.
Previously (when I used pre-installed windows 11 since purchase) vencord was working perfectly. But now it won't showup in the settings even if it says that it is patched. Okay that worked. Thankfully I can just restore the old version back, store it in a temp folder, and open that version of Vesktop without any problems. I've exported my settings and imported them back to the latest version now. Thank you!

I'm trying out Vencord as a BetterDiscord replacement and I'm loving it so far except for one missing feature which I'm not sure if I'm just not seeing it or if it's not there. I use the "PinDM" plugin in BD to pinned one of my DM into the server list on the lft of the Discord window. In Vencord, it seems like you can create pinned groups inside the DM window but you can't actually pin a specific DM to the server list? Anybody knows if there's a way to do that?

Okay so, I know this is less of a Vencord question and more general Discord issues, but I was wondering if there was a plugin to fix it.
Lately Discord has been doing this thing where whenever I'm sharing my screen (mainly while watching things with friends in vc's and group chats) where it says I paused my stream, even though I haven't and I have to completely reset Discord in order to fix it. Is there a plugin related to streaming that would fix this at all?
Edit: Not even clicking back into the window I'm streaming fixes it, I need to hard reset Discord.

Hi, it seems that the plugin NewGuildSettings isn't working properly. It will mute the guild and set the notifications to only mentions if you set it like so but if you set settings like mute automatically events, highlights, role mentions and everyone and here these settings will not apply when you join a new guild.

Is there a way to change the zoom level in vesktop? Discord currently has a Zoom level option which is exceptionally helpful.

Chat font scaling is an option. I currently have it very large on vesktop. The issue comes in with the other aspects of vesktop which do not scale beyond the main chat.

Vesktop is basically a Discord launcher with Vencord built in. So if vencord is depreciated, it will ask you to update.

Idk if I'm using this plugin right, the encrypting message plugin, I am a little confused on how to use it but so far as I know it-

I am supposed to click on the encrypt message button, type in my secret then post a message with whatever I want and add a password. But when I go to decrypt it, it doesnt show my secret and only shows the cover. I tried on the web version without the plugin and it shows the same message.

Why do I get logged out after opening DevTools?

Discord tries to protect you from getting scammed by "hiding" your token when you open DevTools, which means it deletes it from storage and only keeps it in memory in order to make it harder to obtain.

If you now close discord before closing DevTools again, your token will not be saved anywhere anymore and as a consequence you will be logged out

Solution: Close DevTools before closing discord or better yet enable the NoDevtoolsWarning plugin which removes this "feature"
