Hi, new to Linux (Using Linux Mint Cinnamon), Tried to stream something yesterday on discord however, there was no sound output. I got recommended to install Vesktop and I did, it was looking fine but whenever I selected the app to stream it hangs up and it doesn't let me select or exit anything even though vc still works, not sure what's the problem here, if anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated it

i use vencord on m1 mac and everytime i get discord automatic updates, vencord plugin disappears and i have to use normal discord until i run vencord installer again.
after re-set up vencord starts working preserving the settings i had from before.

from my own test with the experiment it was also ineffective, and usually you dont need to restart your client for experiments to be effective (they usually apply with immediate change), so they might've removed the ability to revert to the old profile style

As a heads up, I did a search in this channel for the issue I'm having, and it seems like I'm not the only one so I'm going to try to compile everything we have.

At the moment, it looks like Vencord is unable to do streams on Linux. Users can open the stream menu, pick their settings, and see the preview, but clicking Go Live just closes the menu and doesn't start the stream. This is using the current version of Vencord on the Discover Store.

Vencord userscript on firefox with violentmonkey brings up a white screen now since i accidentally imported my vencord backup which had custom themes

Also works without any problems. It's some sort of flatpak issue. Idk how well the flatpak handles using the appimage files, since appimage is usually using a bunch of super outdated stuff in their build process. AppImage is generally a decent idea, but using it is awful

Since I basically only use flatpaks and no other (electron) app has this problem, I assume it's something that vesktop does that makes it crash
