Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

DTM-08 has some custom css that replaces the pleading emoji with the old one; copy the source css into the theme, press ctrl + F, and search for 98fc. delete that line.

Whenever I stream my screen, people hear a loud clicking sound, it only happens when vencord is installed. I did try running vencord with no plugins but the issue still persists, it happened to my other 2 friends so it's most definitely a bug on vencord's end. Hi all, I'm having an issue where I attempt to screenshare, select a video output, and vencord hangs indefinitely. I am unable to select further options. I just did a fresh install and have no plugins or addons installed. It's not dissimilar to the bug report 30 minutes ago but the program hangs instead of doing nothing as the user describes in issue 680. I'm running Linux Mint 21.3 Cinnamon. If you need any further info regarding hardware, dependencies, etc. please let me know and I'm happy to provide it.

My themes broke and now I can't open settings or disable them

open the dev tools with CTRL + Shift + i (Cmd + Option + i on MacOs) and click on the "console" tab at the top. Then paste and run (with enter) the following code.

It will

• disable custom css (you can turn it back on in Vencord Settings)
• copy your current theme links to your clipboard as a backup
• remove all themes

Fixed everything myself, Crazy thing is it wasn't a third party plugin causing the issue. Reinstalled and recloned from git to prove this. Everything is working properly. Work on the support you provide. I will be switching to betterDiscord as a result of this shitty support.
