Discord updating itself possibly causing it to crash or something to do with the cpu or gpu that causes it to turn off in the middle of having discord open. Noticed that when using a lot of my cpu it stops working all together.

We figured it out. Vencord DID technically install the files needed so that I guess it could identify what it is, but what FAILED to install were the files under
%appdata%/Vencord

I sent him my files (minus personal stuff like settings and now he sees the menu. I think this is a unicode issue personally but hey we got it working. lol

Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

if there's a way for vencord to fetch it manually instead of relying on the browser, it would most likely fix this issue (even on tampermonkey)

My discord isn’t starting at all. I’m not sure it’s a Vencord issue or a Discord issue. Vencord Installer is failing with the error in the photo (sorry for holding my phone to the screen but can’t screenshot cause discords dead atm) I tried reinstalling discord wholesale and it’s installer is also crashing.

hey, unsure if it's an issue on my side or not but every time vencord updates and asks for a restart, it just closes discord and doesn't restart on its own. I can launch discord myself afterwards but i still believe it's something that i should report. It only happens on linux, i've checked and that's not the case on windows

I recently reinstalled discord from 32-bit to 64-bit version, I have been trying to reinstall Vencord but every time I open up the VencordInstaller, and click 'install' it literally uninstalls Discord for me. Has anyone seen this issue before? any help will be appreciated.
