However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

Added onto this, the only way to get said plugins would be with a dev install (which allows for custom plugins (that are made for vencord)) but as the name suggests, its only designed for devs

Just checked right now and it does not have the same player integration and such. If you would like an alternative, check out SpotX which patches the official spotify client with mods. I imagine that to make it work you'd need to modify the Spotube client itself to send data to discord like spotify does or create an intermediary which would communicate between spotube and discord

Hii, I'm using the Vesktop app (via Flatpak) on Linux (EndeavourOS)

I'm having an odd problem where spellcheck isn't allowing any sort of corrections on this version of the app. It does show if something is misspelled or not in the dictionary, but if I right-click on a word with spellcheck errors, nothing shows up at the top. But as a precaution just use common sense and don't show your stuff to a discord admin

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

Hi, I just installed Vencord and I would like to make a plugin. Do I need to do something tricky in the source files in order to open the console? (CTRL + SHIFT + I does not show the console and I'm running Windows.)

I guess you check that under Settings → Updater in the Vencord tab and click the button Check for updates

I'm not sure. On Desktop it is. But on I recall reading something like "not all plugins will work on browser version" in the official website when you install Vencord in the browser version

Do you know that Chrome uses a lot of RAM? Installing Discord app is like running 2 Chromes (if you use Chrome as your browser), so yeah it would be a reason to why it lags

Update on this: I killed Discord from the task manager and reopened it. Now the console works
