Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

Why does my Discord always crash when opening DevTools?

Discord on Windows uses 32bit electron which has a hard memory limit of 2gb. Discord's memory management isn't great so it will already get up to like 1.5gb ram usage if you are in a lot of servers and have it open for a while

DevTools use a lot of memory so once you open them, they immediately push you over 2gb usage. Thus Discord runs out of memory and crashes

Solution: use Discord Browser / Vencord Desktop

This message is misleading. Run sudo chown -R "${USER}:wheel" /Applications/Discord.app in your terminal, then run the installer again afterwards.

You may also need to grant Terminal.app (and friends) full disk access for the operation to work properly.

ive been having this issue on and off for the past couple of weeks:
both themes and cloud settings fail to load: TypeError: Failed to fetch
console shows that the issue is:
Refused to connect to 'https://api.vencord.dev/v1/settings' because it violates the document's Content Security Policy. at VencordWeb:18
the traceback of course is obfuscated. also the network tab does not show this request going through, so i cant see more details to debug this.

iirc yesterday i was on vencord 9eaeb241960cd4be73f67e4aa6d02ba03a4a5d89 and had this issue.
then towards the end of yesterday it was working (did not check the commit), today broken again.
now i am on vencord 8692109bc5bd2ded817bbbfcef937a1d036cc2a8, which the github shows was roughly 24 hours ago.

i am using vencord through armcord installed via flatpak in fedora 37 on qubesos. flatpak shows no updates available.

given the nature of the error and that it seems to randomly come and go, i feel like this is some issue with the security policy headers coming back from the api that are clashing with how armcord serves the web interface locally?
is there anything i can do to better debug this?

Hmm... Then would anyone know how to solve my transparency problem?

In BetterDiscord, replacing the image import in my theme with an RGBA color import where the color is transparent causes the background to become invisible and you can see the desktop behind the app.

In Vencord and Vesktop, doing the same thing causes the background to become a solid color, no transparency.

How do I get it to do the transparenty thing?

I'm on Vesktop now and I can't get it to do it.

Enabling the console transparency toggle doesn't do anything, either. I don't get any new options to turn on and the background doesn't do the thing.

Please update, repair, or reinstall your Vencord, preferably in that order, until it works again. If all else fails, reinstall Discord and then reinstall Vencord.

If I open a folder, it still shows the small guild icons in the folder on the left bar. I liked it better when it showed the opened folder icon there, and ONLY showed the opened folder icon on the left, not on the sidebar. Also, when I open a folder too quickly, it lags out the window, and I have to force quit discord

When you combine the new BetterFolders default with these CSS snippets, it shows 3 different lines and one of them definitely doesn't work.

It seems to just be the sidebar part of the plugin, I turned off everything except close other folders, and it doesn't crash

I had on previously, Sidebar, Sidebar anim, Close others, and Force open

I'm not sure if it's the animation, gonna try that right now

I have an issue with SpotifyCrack, it straight up just doesn't work and doesn't let me listen along with anyone. I have only one spotify account connected.
