Parsing” (oh god i’ve seen that project theme so many times) and in his actual work (his python program) he was just fucking using import requests; requests.get("https://api.someweatherapp") lmfao. and he said like “i tried doing it with beautifulsoap5 (a lib for actual web scraping and parsing) but the html classes always changed so i couldn’t do that” and then i asked him question like this ain’t no parsing ur literally just using an api that returns you a ready-to-use json data and his response was “ummmmm if u look at ‘parsing’ definition on my presentation you’ll see that it converts an html webpage to needed data, so does my program - it converts an html webpage to json data”. ???? u literally just used an api lol but there was no time to argue so i just yeah
