they use tons of dark patterns to try and avoid you cancelling a subscription (which will actually be illegal soon thank god ) and their customer support treated me terribly

and i will proceed to elaborate on it:

when i used to have a creative cloud subscription, before they bumped the price, i was put on an annual plan paid monthly (which is the most stupid thing in existence btw) and i had never intended to do so, so i contacted support to move it to a standard monthly plan and they refused in an extremely rude way

now, when you cancel a CC subscription, not only is it a complete pain to do so (and sometimes requires calling adobe customer support, good god), they charge you an exit fee of 50% of the balance on the APPM, which is stupid when they have an IDENTICAL PLAN THAT DOESN'T HAVE A COMMITMENT LIKE THIS

the entire CC subscription system is designed to extort extra money out of people who arent aware of how it works properly or have signed up to the wrong plan on accident, because if you cancel an APPM plan, not only do you lose a huge amount of money, you lose access to the product you've just had to spend the exit fee money on, it is literally more affordable sometimes to run the entire plan out and then try to very quickly cancel it at the end of the term. if you don't see what's wrong with this, god help you.
