Anyone else using haskell or a similar language?
GSoC in a nutshell?
Pick a project, convince them you’re awesome, and then actually be awesome (with a mentor watching).
You write code, hit deadlines, and try not to break everything.
That’s it. Oh, and free bragging rights forever.
Can someone in their final year of University apply for GSoC?
Google Summer of Code 2025 is open to participants that are over 18 years old and beginners to open source software development.
Please visit our site g.co/gsoc and timeline for more information about the program. You can also read the FAQ, Contributor Guide, Program Rules and view short videos to understand more about the program.
Hello I got accepted in GSoC this year with Learning Equality. I filled the form after the deadline, is there no way to fix that?
we got your response 🙂
good to hear, thanks 😀
Hi, I am in ML4Sci, are we given any compute resources as gsoc contributors, for training models?
You should ask your mentor about that, he is the one who would know that or would be able to ask the org admins and let you know.
This might be a silly question but do I need to be accepted to the GSoC to actually contribute or can I just go through the list and pick what I like to contribute? Are there any restrictions on that?
No, you don’t need to be accepted into GSoC to contribute. Open source is all about contributing to projects where people often volunteer their time. Most orgs would be happy to have you contribute to the project outside of GSOC. However, you won’t get the GSoC stipend, certificate, or official title. Still, you can learn, gain experience, and maybe even get informal mentorship
Sounds good! Thank you
Hi, I filled the GSoC 2025: Declining Contributor Stipend on May 15th. I just received the google forms confirmation, but no other email. Is there a way to confirm that I have successfully opted out?
Please send us an email to our support email address so we can review your case. 🙂
Hi
Hello! Has payoneer asked anyone for their documents for proof of residence yet?
Hey, payoneer questions should be sent to gsoc-support@google.com email, they will be able to assist you!
Hey! I think there's been a small mix-up, I wasn’t asking gsoc-support specifically. I'm just trying to get a general idea from other folks here. It’s not a personal issue, just trying to understand if Payoneer has started asking for proof of residence from anyone yet. Thanks!
Is there any reason why google uses payoneer and not some other alternative (like wise)
Maybe because it offers low fees, global reach, and scalable infrastructure for mass payouts to creators and partners.
How's everyone's first official GSoC coding day? 😁
Been coding for the past 20 days already 😆
@strange cave , you are likely to finish the project in the next 2 weeks
Submitted a PR today so hopefully a good indicator of pace for the summer 🙂
me too
https://medium.com/@ritankar.saha786/cracking-the-google-summer-of-code-2025-6968cdffedd1 hey guys, penned a blog regarding my GSoC experience… lemme know in the comments how is it 🙂 and if any more info is to be added. Has been a wonderful time these past few months learning exploring and contributingg !!
hahah same here
How can i particibate in Gsoc 2025 ?
The contributor application period was from March 24 - April 8 and all proposals had to be submitted by April 8th at 1800 UTC. There are no exceptions to the GSoC program rules or deadlines.
We encourage you to read through the Contributor guide, which has suggestions on what to do if you weren’t selected for this year’s program. It also has a section on ‘Choosing an Organization’ which is helpful whether you would like to connect now with organizations on your own, or decide to apply to GSoC in the future—which we hope you do!
Google Summer of Code is a global program focused on bringing more developers into open source software development.
Thanks alot
Hi there! My student just asked me where to post his weekly blogs, are blogs needed?
It's up to the Mentor, you can set weekly / bi weekly deliverables (PRs, blog submissions, etc) so you can follow up the project progress and also identify if there is a blocker, issue or if the contributor needs help at some point.
as the mentor you need to communicate what you expect from them weekly and the deliverables to be done by the midterm, etc. many mentors like the contributor to do a weekly blog or maybe daily snippets (what did you work on today, what's next where are you stuck - short little sentences etc.)
Thanks!
How to know if my payment for gsoc is approved or not after filling details I got a mail from Payoneer so is it the only way to know the approval or it will show on my dashboard??
Hii nice to meet you everyone
I want to crack Gsoc 2026 can anyone guide me
Same
Hello everyone,
I'm Shantanu Chaudhary, a first-year B.Tech CSE student (batch 2028). I’ve completed DSA in Java and have worked with Java, Git, GitHub, HTML, and CSS. Currently, I’m learning JavaScript and React to build my development skills.
I’ve joined this community to seek guidance and support as I prepare for GSoC 2026. Looking forward to learning from you all and making the most of this group.
Good morning everyone ☀️
Let's crack Gsoc 2026
let's crack GSOC 2026 together
Guys how you write parposal to organization
Sure ping me in private chat
it is a great idea, but personally, I love to handle a task at hand first, then plan for my next move.
Ok buddy
Have you figured out org and lemme know your tech stack
Hey, Has the Link to the GSoC Alumni Discord rolled out to everyone? I have not received it yet.
me neither
Hi, if you completed the 2 steps then you should be able to see the channel on the left side of the screen gsoc-alumni, if not please send us a quick email to review it.
React + TypeScript (frontend)
Spring Boot + Java (backend)
REST API + Swagger
MySQL/PostgreSQL for DB
Git + Jira for collaboration or i aslo use notion
But I not 100 percent conform to go with this
i have completed the steps still i cant see
Hey, you can try sending email to gsoc-support@google.com to ask about that.
okey
If you already completed the 2 steps please look for the channel on the left hand of your screen and once you find it you can ping it at the top as a favorite channel. ☺️
You can also do a quick review if you click on your username to review the roles, you should have the GSoC Alumni role like this example:
hey anyone up?
Hello 👋🏻
I am new to coding...not literally but kindda,I was intrested in gsoc...can you help me out regarding how should I approach this
You're a bit late for this year, but you can start preparing to apply GSoC next year
yeah I got to know that...from where Should I start my prep with?
can you give me a hint or advice smth
I'm not a developer and I haven't participated, but I know some of the members here can give you some advice
can you ping them up or send their profiles?
wait for an answer here 🙌🏻

II would suggest that if your somewhat new to coding, don't fret too much on the tech stack itself.
Explore all participating orgs over the past few years,
https://www.gsocorganizations.dev/ is a good place to start, as all orgs are neatly compiled together and also you can filter orgs by domain and participating years.
In terms of choosing a org, I would suggest picking an org, whose main project you have used before, It's not mandatory but it can help quite a bit. Then if you head over to the org's project repo you can see what tech stack they use.
Some have contribution guides on their GitHub wiki, whereas for others you will need to head to the Org's IRC (Internet Relay Chat), weather it is discord, slack or forums varies from org to org.
Your next step would be to setup the project locally, and try and compile the project. You can ask for help in the relevant IRC channels, maintainers are likely to help, but do not ping them unless it's absolutely necessary, everyone in open source is volunteering and they are often burdened with tons of work.
Next once you have managed to compile the project, try and head over to the repo's issues page to see what issues are active, (Some orgs use 'Good First Issue' labels to mark beginner friendly tasks, but not all do this) try and see if you can recreate the issue, if you can drop a comment asking to be assigned and start working on the issue.
Be aware that if this is your first time, it is highly unlikely for you to clear any issue without tons of mistakes, frustrations and going around in loops. But this will make you much more familiar with the codebase, and how to go about debugging and solving issues.
Once you have found a solution, you can submit a PR and wait for feedback from reviewers and maintainers.
Great response
I m not yet added to the gsoc alumni discord channel
You can check #gsoc-alumni

anyone working for next year?
Me
Me
here
I forgot to keep track of it this year, uni exams kept me busy 😅
Anyone join me on GSOC
hey
I am a first-year undergraduate student and completely new to coding. I am aiming to participate in GSoC 2026. Can someone please share a detailed roadmap?
Hey, I'm a final year ug student with some coding experience but new to gsoc. Can we discuss in dms?
Hey, I have an coding question about maven. Is there an specific channel where I can ask such questions?
Hey can any tell me how to find issues because in many repo i go and see issue but there is like already open pr by other and that contributor not assigning something this problem i faced many times..🙃
Hey @somber basalt , I can't see the gsoc-alumini channel on the left bar(earlier it used to be there)
I changed my username. can that be the problem?
Checking your profile, I see that you do not have the GSOC alumni role, you probably lose the role
I changed my username ad after that I have no access to gsoc-alumini channel
That's probably the reason why you lose your role. Let's wait for a response from someone who knows about it. By the way, when you have a question, you can post it in the channel without tagging the admins. When they see the question, they'll respond, but it's not necessary to tag the admins
Ok
I am a 3rd year undergraduate student and have fundamental knowledge regarding coding. I am aiming to participate in GSoC 2026. Can someone please share a detailed roadmap?
i need someone to help me so that i can crack GSoC in 2026
Same but I am a first year student actually 😅😅
I wanted to know the skills required for Gsoc
You might already have some idea about gsoc can you tell me more about it?
I also don't know
You are also new to gsoc?
Competition will be surely rising in gsoc next year onwards
@neat kernel same bro i also want to know i am going to join college in next month and heard about the gsoc programme and need a proper roadmap
Which college you going bro? Mine is SRM ghaziabad campus
I haven't seen a proper roadmap yet but learning essential skills like python and web development right now
And I will participate in the hacktober 2025 hackathon
I have heard that it gives your gsoc proposal a strong value
hey yall, wondering what exactly is gsoc. i have no idea what it is but heard its super helpful
google summer of code
like the largest open source contribution platform there is, prolly dats why
bruh
i thought it was internships
well there are stipends so you could consider it that
but not exactly
💀 no thanks
i dont need no stipend
here ye go, you can read through this
Google Summer of Code is a global program focused on bringing more developers into open source software development.
o7 thanks
Hey, I am new here as well as in coding also, I will go in first yr btech soon and i am thinking to crack Gsoc in my first yr can anyone guide me abt it?
Yeah same
What have u studied for that?
I am currently studying python and then I will study web development then some essential python modules
I will also participate in hacktober 2025 for resume boost
Oh kinda same i am also practicing python now..
Please do not ping the GSoC Admins to review personal inquiries, this is not a support channel
Yes, it is a problem cause the username won't be updated once it has been submitted by the Discord team. Please share your details with us in a new email to our support channel gsoc-support@google.com so we can try to add you once again.
Good which college btw?
I will get clg in aug
Hi myself Purnasai V , An undergraduate student ,just entering 1st year , exploring new ways to learn new things , hope this gives me positive start.....Thankyou every one...i would like to take advises and grow together with you people..
Same bruh
Freshers = confidence and dreams fr
Where are you from
mumbai
hey, has anyone participated before in gsoc before? I have been thinking about participating in gsoc every year since i heard about it but i often feel scared and end up convincing myself that i don't know enough to start with it. However this time i am determined to get into no matter what. It will be a really great pleasure if someone could guide me or maybe help me in understanding how to go about it. Any help is really appreciated.
Learn python bro
thanks dude..
Guys I have a plan all the members who wants to participate in gsoc should we make a seperate server or group to chat in?
Preferrably instagram (I use it more than discord)
yep..if its genuenin..
i just dont use insta
Oh
can we do it in discord itself..
which branch??
Actually it's closer to my house and there we still get degree of chennai after graduation
Btech CSE AI ML
ohh..nice
I can also help for your admission if you want to take and if you are comfortable in hostel
Just the fees is high
i already have options like srm ap and vit ap in hand
thankyou...
Any college you are targetting?
u are in which year??
First year bro college will start from next month
mostly i am into vit ap college..i liked its perks
Which branch you getting?
cse cyber
Oh nice
Yeah it's like 3.5 lakh per year
Also bus fees is 55000 per year
So roughly 4 lakh per year without hostel
With hostel it could go upto 5-6 lakh per year
This is such a good idea, I will love to be a part of this server
Yeah that’s the first thing in my list. Do u know any beginner friendly orgs for this? I have experience in Mern stack at the moment and I am starting with python
Hey there. For casual chats please use #general . And use this channel for gsoc related discussions only
AOSSIA is a beginner friendly org (source: ChatGPT)
I’ll check it out
Also participate in hacktober fest 2025 it will give you a boost and experience
It is also beginner friendly we still have like 1.5 months left so we can prepare for it
I disagree with that, I don't think the way to go is to learn a programming language, I agree that being familiar with multiple famous programming languages is a good thing, but in my opinion, specifically currently with LLMs and all that, being very comfortable with Git, GitHub, opensource contribution, good in communication, good in writing documentation, understanding general fields like OS, Machine learning, DevOps, etc. will be a lot more valuable than learning a specific programming language.
Hello there! I'm new to discord...can anyone please explain me about gsoc currently I'm writing my 3yr end sem exams... I'm naive in java dsa and full stack I really wanna contribute in gsoc but how shall I do it please explain
@abstract oasis Bro no one is helping here i also want to know more about gsoc having many questions related to gsoc but i don't think anyone will explain us anymore .
@steep matrix yeah not a big deal bro...I know about gsoc but I don't how to approach
Dm me bro will let you know
@abstract oasis Same bro i just need a roadmap and a proper guidence
I think it's great that you guys are reaching out and asking, but I also sense a lot of self-helplessness. No one is helping since there is a lot to be discussed, and almost all of it is answered somewhere out there in GSoC's documentation or Youtube, so thoroughly check these first and if you have any specific questions feel free to send.
So thankful for your answer ...
My GSoC project actually has lots of potential for future development
If you guys are interested in scientific computing/computational statistics/C++/R feel free to DM
Hello!! How is everyone's GSoC projects going on the eve of midterm review??
😂 Almost complete @solemn thorn
Haha same! I just got one edge case bug to fix and then I'm done
What's your project?
hello bro which conditions should we fulfill for gsoc and can you pls share your journey for gsoc I am a first year student second year is going to start in sometime
What's yours? 😊 Will give you a like
I'm first year doing GSoC!! I just applied and then talked to the mentor, I created and submitted my own proposal though
This is incredible though, wow, pretty scary
Stared that
👀 You must have been #1 Lua devoter
That'a a super cool project name
And great work 👀
There definitely are Lua devs better than me haha
But yeah I love Lua so much
😂 That's a lot of work by the way
Have you written 30k+ LoC 👀 @solemn thorn or that's also generated by the compiler as well
Yeah half was generated by the compoler
Which for some reason I still need to commit
A lot are just test cases too
Do we have to submit some kind of doc for the midterm evaluation as contributors, if so where should that take action?
Talk to your mentor, depends
I mean is there/or will be a uniform interface on our dashboard or a form, beside the interaction with mentors?
Is the midterm form supposed to be up on the dashboard today? I can't find anything
Check your mail
I received it.
It says stipend will be release on 30th
But the webiste showed 19th right?
Yaah confused too
it had stated on 18th in the timeline...
log in to your GSoC dashboard and then click on your project to see the dashboard which will show the evaluation dates and if your midterm is this week then the document icon will be blue so you can click on it. It will also show when the submission deadline is
stipends are issued within 48 hours after the evaluation deadline to those that pass their evaluations
thanks for the clarification.
Hey
hello,
Hie
Hey guys, just a quick doubt - is there any minimum balance requirement to receive payments through Payoneer? Would really appreciate it if someone could confirm.
no most people will have $0 before they receive their first Gsoc stipend
Hi @cunning ice , I hope you're doing well.
This is Prashant, a GSoC 2025 contributor with the Eclipse Foundation.
As part of our project “ComitHunter”, we are building an AI-Powered Commit Debugger, which involves training and running machine learning models. However, we are currently facing limitations due to the lack of suitable compute resources.
I wanted to check if Google offers any support in the form of cloud credits or access to compute infrastructure for GSoC contributors working on resource-intensive projects. If so, could you kindly guide me on how to proceed or whom to contact for this?
no
Personal project questions need to be sent to our gsoc-support@google.com support email.
Hello @cunning ice ma’am I haven’t received my stipend yet from payoneer its been 3 days now
I mail them and got no reply
All stipends were issued Friday for people with accounts properly set up in Payoneer
Okay ma’am
Email GSoC-support@google.com
Hello can some please help me related to my stipend it has been three days and the stipend is still not sent to my bank account i check everything I mailed payoneer but no response I dont want to disturb the gsoc moderators please connect me with them or any help would be appreciated
Payoneer doesnt process payments on weekends. Chill out
My friends got it on weekends Saturday
Same bank
Different city branch
I got my payment processed only this morning 🤷 The official website says it can take up to 3 days, but online forums say sometimes it may take up to one week
Okay
Thanks
Anyone got oppurtunity for gsoc?
"Hey folks! I’ve been going through the GSoC site and some orgs on GitHub, but I’m feeling a bit lost on how to start contributing — especially understanding which issues are active or what a good 'first step' looks like. If anyone has a guide or can help clarify the process a bit, I’d really appreciate it 🙏"
I want to join the GSoC . So, what I do?
You can start watching youtube videos of other people's experiences and read articles too (you'll find PLENTY of these)
The most important thing is, you will find yourself when the orgs are announced, searching between many options. so you'll have to sharpen your research skill for that :) === practice getting the answer to that yourself through research, you can pretty much get all the info you need by yourself yes!
If I were to give any advice, would be to actively communicate with the whichever org you choose, that leaves a very good impression.
My org this year actually stressed on that point.
how exactly do we actively communicate with the org we want to choose?
most of them use slack, you can email to join their contributors channel and then introduce yourself there
How do you actively communicate with the org? Simple: engage like someone who’s already part of it.
Open issues when you spot something. Even better, submit a PR. Join their community meetings. Leave comments on PRs. Reach out on Slack or Discord, but don’t show up just asking “how do I start?” when most of it is already in the contributing guide.
Many projects label “good first issues” specifically to help you get started. You don’t even need to find your own bug. Just do something. Take initiative. That’s how you get noticed.
And if you’re aiming for GSoC, that’s awesome. But be REAL. Mentors can smell when someone’s just going through the motions to get picked. Be strategic, but more importantly, be sincere. You're not just applying to a program. You’re trying to join a COMMUNITY.
I am 18 year old , I am in high school now , can I participate in gsoc 2026. (btw I know mern stack)
Thanks for your interest in Google Summer of Code!
Please visit our site g.co/gsoc and timeline for more information about the program. You can also read the FAQ, Contributor Guide, Program Rules and view short videos to understand more about the program.
this is true. But I'm not sure whether high school students are eligible to participate in GSoC 2026
We have not announced a GSoC 2026 program. All participants must be at least 18 years old when they register.
Are you having knowledge of when it might be announced??
Hello Everyone I am looking for guidance regarding GSOC 26.Can any one help me !
GSoC programs are normally announced at the beggining of the year, you can all follow our GSoC website and stay tuned for the news
Google Summer of Code is a global program focused on bringing more developers into open source software development.
Hi , I am targeting GSoC 2026 but feel stuck and confused about what to learn , what skills to focus on .Can anyone who is too targeting GSoC 2026 or have already participated earlier help me figure out this.
You need to be able to code in the programming language used by the organization and the project idea you are applying to (python, C++, etc.). You are not expected to be an expert coder but you do need to have basic knowledge of the programming language so that you can spend the whole coding period writing code for your project. You should also have an excitement to learn new things and to be mentored by the community you join.
Thank you for the guidance.. it really helps..!!
Hey guys. I didn't receive my stipend. Is it normal.
On the dashboard I've completed my midterm eval and I can see my mentor did the same.
I've my Payoneer setup too
For reference
you have to wait until the mentor passes you and the deadline passes (Aug 1 1800 UTC)
then if you pass the midterm your stipend will be issued within 48 hours
Thank youu so much !!
hey I have been trying to try contribution but I feel like if someone who can guide (mentor) me that would be great
If any of you are interested in C++ programming/Machine learning feel free to talk to me.
Hey there. Please get support through this email for pioneer related matters
gsoc-support@google.com
Hello @dusty trout Please do not ping the GSoC Admins to review personal inquiries, this is not a support channel, I recommend that you wait for a response to your email
Hye guyss I have wasted my first year of college can anyone guide me I have no network 😔
Guys please help me to be member of gsoc, gdg etc and gain knowledge in tech nd personality development too
Hey everyone! 👋
I’m part of a GDG chapter at my college, and we’re trying to help more students get into GSoC next year.
I’d really love to hear from anyone here who’s gotten into GSoC — your experiences, tips, or even things you wish you knew earlier. Also, if your proposal didn’t make it, I’d genuinely appreciate hearing what you learned from that too.
I did contribute last year but my proposals didnt make it. So I would really appreciate some insights. Thank you in advance!
hey I am interested, will you please guide me?

Hello everyone I'm ASUX
Hello everyone my name is Rahul
Hi likewise targeting Gsoc 2026 and make good contributions to the community 😁
Hey everyone 👋 I’m Anshu, a 2nd-year CSE student and currently a contributor in GSSoC 2025. I’m passionate about Python, data science, and open-source, and I’m aiming to participate in GSoC 2026. I’d love some guidance on how to start contributing to orgs early and prepare effectively for next year’s program.
I think we shall meet you in GSoc 2026...!
Hello everyone
I am Targeting gsoc 2026 . Preferably in the language c/c++
Any help/guidance would be appreciated
Thanks!
I am a first year btech student
Thanks for your interest in Google Summer of Code!
Each mentoring organization will use certain languages. You can look at the 185 open source organizations from this year to see the languages they use and have an idea of which Orgs are working with the languages that you are working. You can even filter by the languages that you are familiar with to help narrow down your org selections.
Please visit our site g.co/gsoc and timeline for more information about the program. You can also read the FAQ, Contributor Guide, Program Rules and view short videos to understand more about the program.
Thanks for the reply, I will make sure to take a look for the orgs
Would you suggest a timeline of roadmap for gsoc like from the learning phase to when we start contributing
Thanks
Timeline is given in the link posted above. GSoC website is very detailed, go through the guide and it'd help you a lot.
Timeline on the link above is for current GSoC 2025. However, every year the timeline is similar. Days may vary by +/- couple of days but outline is the same so you can expect the almost same general timeline for GSoC 2026!
how are u alive without network
I am new to this whole tech GSOC thing. Day by day I'm exploring it, and as I know more, it's becoming a point of interest. I want to contribute as much as I can with my tech stack in Python and machine learning as a 17-year-old in the first year of college. But I don't know how to get started, as you crazy guys have a lot of experience in this field. Any smol guidance from anyone would be a great help.
Will link some messages in this channel in reply
Also an advice that I wish I knew at the beginning, it's great to start researching currently about GSoC, getting a solid understanding of how it works, etc. But when I started I saw a lot of people on Youtube stressing that you must contribute to an org before the orgs are announced, I got accepted into GSoC twice and in both times I only got in contact after the orgs and the projects were announced.
I am not encouraging you to not try to contribute/deep dive with an org currently, this will for sure help you build experience and have an edge over others, but all I am saying is don't stress it if you didn't, you can still totally make it if you start engaging with the orgs once the projects are announced. That of course differs if you are interested from now in a specific org that you want to specifically get accepted in, then it would make more sense to start contrubuting with them now.
Good luck!
Can you tell me what tech stack did you had when you cracked your 1st GSoC in 24'
I'm currently exploring python and basic machine learning
I only mainly knew C++, and was very comfortable with Git, I found a simple project that was revolving around git/GitHub knowledge, it was an external project, not something inside the org's code, I did a demo for them to prove I was able to do it and then learned the rest that was needed after being accepted.
Python and machine learning is a solid choice.
Isnt it too late now btw for gsoc
Wasn't the deadline over a long ago to appy for gsoc
how to make stemed cake
I'm learning c++ , networking , Unix
Planning 2027 GSoC
Yeah, people are asking to prepare for the next one
GSoc 2026?
Heyy guys how is Android dev for GSoC? How many orgs come for android dev?
Quite a bit actually. Go to https://summerofcode.withgoogle.com/programs/2025/organizations and filter them. These are 2025 orgs but you can expect similar org selection for 2026 too. Some orgs even are participating in GSoC for many years
Google Summer of Code is a global program focused on bringing more developers into open source software development.
hi man just wanted to ask im new to python and ml side and i wanna be a contributor in the next gsoc what are some things i should be looking to learn in this domain and few of the companies which are using them..
Heyy, if someone contributed so much and applied but didn't get accepted, let's say the current year, my question is, is it possible to re apply next year or these contributions made you not beginner to apply ?
You don’t have to be a beginner to apply, some people get accepted twice in GSoC it’s okay
Hey everyone! I am thinking to go for gsoc 2026. I am currently learning the MERN stack. Will it get me any decent project of this particular stack?
I am not by any means a machine learning expert, but I believe it would be great if you tackle a full or partially full machine learning project, I mean a learning project where you gather data (or can have it already gathered), you preprocess it, do some feature engineering, understand the main concepts and models in machine learning, train models and test them.
Someone else might have other suggestions too, this is what we did in my university and it helped me understand the theoreticals through studying and then when you do a project you understand how this is basically done in the industry.
About the companies, I can't really help with that, the GSoC organizations website is the go to place to answer this question for yourself, and also, most companies now are experimenting with AI, so even if a company isn't focused in AI, there is a high chance you'll find AI related projects in their suggested projects.
Check all the projects in all orgs this year and see for yourself how many projects had the technologies you are learning, this is the best indicator, but I expect that you will for sure find projects with this stack yes.
think ill ask few of my professors for project suggestions and all thanks man appreciate the efforts
Anytime, you can also check the internet, there are famous projects for learning, like steam games price prediction, sentiment analysis, etc.
Hi everyone ,
I’m new to open source and really interested in preparing for Google Summer of Code (GSoC 2026). I’d love to get some guidance from experienced contributors here.
A few things I’m trying to figure out:
What’s the best way to start preparing for GSoC?
Which technologies or skills should I focus on (and how deep should I go)?
How do I start contributing to open source projects effectively (finding issues, making PRs, etc.)?
Any advice on building the right mindset and approach for open source collaboration?
I’d really appreciate any suggestions, resources, or personal experiences you can share .
Thanks in advance!
IMHO the best thing you can do is to pick an org. All the rest will fall into place after that. Take a look at past programs (2025, 2024), see what orgs participated, pick one (or two), then come back here for help.
Ok thanks for suggestion
Hello, just a question.. We want to extend the time for the final contribution. Is it possible to extend the project now, 3 days before the deadline?
Hey everyone 👋, I’m Akhilesh.
I’m preparing for GSoC and currently exploring open-source projects, mainly around full-stack development.
Looking forward to connecting with alumni and contributors here, and would love to learn from your guidance 🙌
hello, i am also in a similar position to you but i might be targeting ML and DSA projects more,
Hey everyone 👋, I’m Akhilesh , currently preparing for Google Summer of Code 2026.
I’ve been exploring open-source communities and I’m especially interested in contributing to Plone foundation and Wagtail. Since I’m still new to open source, I’d love to hear your suggestions on how to get started — like finding beginner-friendly issues, understanding the codebase, and connecting with the community.
Any advice, pointers, or experiences you can share would mean a lot 🙌
i'm interested
hello guys. I'm a student interested in gsoc 2026. i am just starting my programming journey. i wanted to know what are the best ways to pick a gosc org? what parameters should i look for?
And with that, the Google Summer of Code 2025 season comes to an end…
I had an amazing time working with the Google DeepMind team, and my biggest thanks go to my project mentor, Paige Bailey. After three months of consistent effort, project HALO is finally complete.
Veo3 has blown up in recent months—but what truly powers such insanely cap...
If any of you are interested in time series analysis/signal processing in R/C++, which also shows an archive of the GSoC 2025 work (with several ideas for expansion).
Would be nice if you give it a ⭐️
can anyone guide me where should i start preparing for GSOC and i don't know any coding now
You need to be able to code to do GSoC.
I also have a similar ambition, tried applying this year but late… So permit me to co ask
Hi everyone, I’m Sameeha.
I’m learning Python with a focus on automation and backend development, coming from a non-CS background.
I’m here to prepare for Google Summer of Code 2025, contribute early, and connect with others on the same path.
I am in high school. I am 18-year-old. can I join google summer of code. I know mern stack
You can as long as you are 18 or above! Check GSoC website, read up on the process and educate yourself how GSoC works. Then wait for 2026 January applications!
Hi everyone,
I am Hemasai, a pre-final year student at VIT AP. I know Python, Java, and the MERN stack, and I am also learning machine learning and deep learning. Currently, I am exploring natural language processing (NLP). I aspire to participate in Google Summer of Code (GSoC) 2026. Can anyone suggest a path or ways to achieve this? It has been my dream for the past two years. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Hi everyone, I'm Fran Alarcón, a second year student of CS Engineering in third to fourth year I will specialize in AI. I know Python, Java, Springboot, MERN stack, also i'm on Samsung Innovation Campus learning Big Data and AI. Can you recommend or suggest paths or courses to achieve this? I really interest in GSoC also, sorry for my bad english, i'm from Santiago of Chile
thank you sir
Can someone help me out by suggesting
when is the 2025 archive published?
You can browse the projects here: https://summerofcode.withgoogle.com/programs/2025/projects
For 8 & 12 week project, you’ll find the “view code” button and can check whatever you want.
Longer and extended projects’ codes are yet to be published when the deadline passes.
Google Summer of Code is a global program focused on bringing more developers into open source software development.
Almost everyday someone sends a similar message!
I think the best way is depending on yourself, almost everything someone can tell you here you can find by yourself online.
and for real world experiences, the code submissions -which you can find in the archives in the GSoC website- usually consist of a blog post where the contributes tells about their experience. I suggest you check some of these especially after filtering out organizations with the tech stack you know. a use website for this: https://www.gsocorganizations.dev/
You can check this message and the 2 below it too.

Once all the projects are finished.
Thanks for the response
is anyone preparing for GSOC 2026?
Let's connect and prep together!!
What's your domain? Web, AI, C++, etc?
Has anyone in here participated in GSoC 2024 for Flare open source especially Floss project? I would love to direct message.
Hello!
I'd be 👋
Hello, I'm in

Hi,I am Harsh
Hello, can anyone clarify which link we have to put in the “GSoC Work Product*
Link to the URL from the GSoC archive where your project is listed.» space in the GSoC Preferred Candidate Form - 2025. Since the 2025 program just ended, it has not yet been put in the gsoc archive.
Hello community,
I am new to the server, My Name is Faseeh,
I want to contribute in open source.
I am new to open source contributions, Can anyone provide a basic overview?.

Yeah me too , id love to
my tech stack is . . . .
Python + ML/AI (Transformers, PyTorch), Data Science (Pandas/Sklearn), Cloud (OCI), Git/GitHub
me too
but i dont know roadmap for it
Hello everyone,
Is it possible to see statistics from this year, regarding applicants (rejected, accepted per project) etc? Is this data available for previous years? Thanks a lot!
The competition just got harder!
So less than a 10% application success rate, interesting
Is it more people just spamming AI-generated code or are more people actually joining with the intent of being serious open-source contributors?
Nonetheless, how does one stand out amongst the crowd?
a lot of ppl spam ai generated code
Hello everyone this is @Hari Krishna
I am someone who is interested to get into GSOC 2026 I am a CSE (AI&ML) student in 2-1.
I am a complete beginner and new to Discord. And I seek advice from the community.
Go to https://www.gsocorganizations.dev/ to see which AI organisations have a good history of participation in the GSoC program. Select 1 or 2 organisations and just start contributing to their code base. That's really it. There's no "cracking" it, just honest effort.
👋 Hi everyone! I’m Anshu Arora from Haryana, India.
I’m a 3rd-year CSE student and a GSSoC’25 contributor.
I’m new to open-source and excited to learn and contribute, especially in AI, Machine Learning, and Python projects.
I’d really appreciate any tips, guidance, or resources to help me get started and make meaningful contributions. 💻✨
Hi everyone i am second year student at SRM Chennai India currently doing an internship in atlier tech i really want to get selected in gsoc and want some advice about the do's and the dont's and what can be the best way to do things to get selected
whats your tech stack btw just asking curiously
Hi, fellas, I am Siddharth, from India.

I would really like any tips, guidance, or resource to help me get started and get selected in GSoC'26 and make meaningful contributions ✨
Guys anyone know MERN Stack project orgs
What is the meaing of MERN Stack project orgs?
You mean, sample MERN stack project?
@full basin MERN Stack project Organizations in Google Summer of Code, means organizations which emphasizing MERN Stack/Node.js and JavaScript based project
Hi
why's the list of orgs ~200 (https://summerofcode.withgoogle.com/programs/2025/organizations)
Google Summer of Code is a global program focused on bringing more developers into open source software development.
while the amount of projects is 1200 (https://summerofcode.withgoogle.com/programs/2025/projects)
Google Summer of Code is a global program focused on bringing more developers into open source software development.
do orgs on avg have 6 projects participants can choose?
i thought it would be 1 for each org
also does literally every project succesfully pick a participant?
how many people are applying?
it seems quite easy with this amount to get selected
Heh, look at GSoC 2025 stats.
Where can I find them
Have you participated in GSoC before?
Nope. I hope I do, but I'm not prepared yet.
Oh 23k proposals, that’s a lot more than I expected
Where u from?
I’m a CS student from the Netherlands
And that's the entire twist.

Thanks a lot. Probably won't be able to get into this program this year.
Trying wont hurt
Is it still open for this year
Oh damn, same university.
It's for every year. Check the timeline online.

hey there how to contribute effectively to get selected in GSOC?
Hey everyone,
I looked into GSoC the past years and I would like to calculate my odds of getting accepted, as a computer science undergrad with strong python background.
Thing is, from what I understood and discussed, you have way better odds of getting accepted if you contribute at an org etc.
Do mentors not even look at people which havent contributed at their org before? Also, can you apply to multiple organizations to better your chances of acceptance? Thanks!
can someone brief about this like i know basic idea of gsoc but what happens after choosing a domain like for example take web dev or software dev
Selection is also based on proposal. I didn't apply in 2025, however, I contributed to some orgs to get a feel of GSoC. One org, quite well known, selected contributors based on proposal than those who contributed. On one project, a contributor had done 25% work before application deadline, yet they weren't the one selected for the project when results were announced.
So the bottom line is it all depends on org and mentors. Just do your best contributing but also put a lot of emphasis on proposal. At least that's what I learned from observing GSoC 2025.
I'm possibly gonna apply this year!
Right. Can you apply to many orgs to increase odds?
Yes but GSoC itself has a statistic available that majority contributors who got accepted only applied to 1-2 orgs
I strongly believe it's best if you focus on one Org, the GSoC process of understanding the project well, navigating the codebase, contributing, communicating with the mentors, and writing a good proposal is time intensive that doing it properly with one Org is enough.
When you start reserching the projects for each Org, take your time to decide on the project that you are most excited about and has a high chance of you being accepted in it and give it your all, you can also experiment a bit with multiple projects in the beginning but I suggest that at the end, focus on one project and give it your all.
Thanks for your insight, totally agree
I agree on that. However, contributing is a big deal, just navigating and really understanding an issue takes a lot of time which, as a college student, I dont have. I could however write a strong proposal and I have a lot of background in python and research. So, thats why I ask, do I have chances if I only apply without prior contributions to the organisation.
Also, there is a 10% acceptance rate, if I remember correctly. And of course, if other 9 people apply to X organisation, other than me, it is very likely that one of them focused entirely on that organisation (with contributions and more).
No, your chances are close to 0, I believe GSoC explicitly advises orgs to not accept GSoC participants who haven't communicated with them and it makes sense. Put yourself in place of the Org, I have a guy who I have talked with, saw how he speaks, how he communicates his thoughts, how he writes some code, how he explains what he did, etc. and I have this random guy who sent me a PDF that says he can do this project, you would prefer the guy who communicated with you. Plus it's very hard to write a strong proposal without talking with the mentor at the organization you are applying to who wrote the project description.
But, you don't need to do amazing contributions, if you do very basic contributions or even one single basic contribution, understood the project well, communicated with the mentor on the project a lot, then you will have a very good chance of being accepted in most organizations, some organizations are more competetive than others but if you do the above, you'll get accepted in most of them, no need to do huge contributions. And once you start digging you will find a lot of stuff that you can improve/contribute to, either related to the project or unrelated.
Most of the people who got accepted into GSoC (including me) are university students, so if all of us were able to do that, trust me you can find the time for it.
I agree on that.
Do you have any advice on getting in touch early? I remember last year, before organisations were announced, In the google page most of the (previous year) links didnt work, no discord servers etc. And, after orgs are announced I assume the servers of the orgs will be flooded.
Could anyone with past gsoc experience describe how they got in touch with mentors before? Would really appreciate that!
many organisations have their IRC channels like Zulip, Slack, Discord, Gitter, etc. mostly linked inside their READMEs or Contributing Guidelines on how to reach out. Some might have mailing lists too.
Yea, last year before org announcment 99% of links didnt work. (for orgs that are each year, so I could get in contact before the announcment)
What can i start doin gnow so that i will be able up my odds to get into an organisation of Machine Learning in GSoc26??
Hey, I’m a newbie.
Can anyone tell me what should I start focusing on to as of now for the better chances in gsoc’26
My domains are backend, fullstack, devops and blockchain
Hey!
Can anyone please help me get through GSOC this year? anyone/.
we could have a short discussion maybe 10-15mins?
Hey!!
I'm Shreyaa
I'm looking forward to participating in GSOC 2026. I would love for the experienced peers to give their insights and well, most importantly, connect ^-^. Or even a newbie sharing the same interests is welcome to my DMs .

If anyone has taken part in it please help me with some basic question.
I am currently learning Springboot and have a little grasp on Java,C++.
What should I be working on right now ?
Hello everyone
Newbie here 💀
I'm aiming to be a contributor for GSoC 2026 (like everyone here) but am ailed by procrastination. Seems like a shadow tht follows me everywhere lol. Though, once I get into my focus mode, there's no stopping me. Anyone ready to take up dis challenge nd start this journey together wid me? I have learned hving a "motivating" frnd can help (excuse me for this cringe stuff, but facts) so... Ye. Ig I'm asking for a study partner or smth. 🛐

I have seen this video and most of the time he was promoting about his course and stuff
Not good for starters
Hello everyone I’ve never contributed to open source and I’m trying to get selected for GSoC’26. Is anyone can mentor me?
I want to know all the step by step process to apply for GSoC
ok you can open gsoc website and see orgs in the last years
and choose what you wanna contribute in it
you have 2 options
the first you wait until february when all orgs in 2026 listed
or start from now by choose any one abd pick an issue and solve it
Yeah but what should be prerequisite for it ?
I know basic C++,Java,Python
And learning Springboot for backend web dev
@subtle vine if you could help me with that question?
you shouldn't know alot of things
it will depend on the org you will contribute to it and the technologies that org use
Okay Thanks
I thought we should need to have a strong grasp on development
For GSOC
no just start and you will learn in your way
Okay will do
id love to be an accountablity partner
Does gsoc have data science tracks?
Hello everyone I am a full stack developer and preparing for GSOC 2026 if you all guys also preparing for it I will happy to connect
Yess GSOC have everything for every kind of tech
Hey we will connect?
Ok, so how can I go about it
As a im here for guide lines from a senior i also want to prepare myself for the GSOC ,
Does any senior is here who will help me ?
GM guys 🌤️
Please drop in any resources regarding GSOC, and if there's a prior contributor please guide us 👉 👈
Is it a good idea to get in touch from now? Guessing next orgs based on previous ones.
yes your chance will increase
Hii everyone i participating in gsoc Can anyone help me
@rocky sage
Hey Im new in Gsco
I want to know what all pre- required knowledge should we have for Gsoc
you shouldn't know alot of thighs just know language and its basics and basics of git. github
So if I'm doing aiml
Ik python can I take it
how can i deploy a app on google ai studio
yes you can
how can i deploy a app on google ai studio
first build your prototype using Gemini or another model in the AI Studio interface. Then, connect it to your Google Cloud project with billing enabled. From the Studio, choose “Deploy to Cloud Run”, configure your region and permissions, and confirm deployment. Google AI Studio will automatically create and host the service on Cloud Run, giving you a public URL to access your app

@subtle vine thank you
Hey, I’m interested in contributing to Keras for GSoC, are there any ongoing tasks or repos I should start exploring to get familiar with?
you should select which is suitable to your skills
Okay thanks
Hi Sara,
How do we apply for GSOC?
you can see the timeline but every year it usually starts in february
Google Summer of Code Timeline | Google for Developers https://developers.google.com/open-source/gsoc/timeline
Sara How much time is required for preparation?
there is no exact time it depends on alot if things
@subtle vine can you explain GSOC to me?
from what I get you have to contribute to open source right?
we should be getting mentors right?
are the mentors volunteers?
do we select the mentors? or do the mentors select us?
How are our contributions evaluated?
do we get something in return for contributing?
I am interested in linux risc v development.
another domain I like is functional code like haskell and common lisp.
where do you get a list of previous orgs?
ok I think I got the answers to everything
oh i think this need a time you can look at timeline i sent above and they have clarified everything, after reading them if you have any questions you can ask
Hey Quick question
gsoc is a way to learn or it is a way to implement what you have?
Both
So if i have basic knowledge means its ok?
yes OK
Hey i am new in open source can anyone guide me about that

Hey guys tried looking for some projects on keras repo I could contribute to but at least all issues I saw were claimed and if they weren't they were simply to complex for me to understand 😅
hey everyone, I wanna know everything about gsoc. i madly wanna contribute in that in 2026. explain me anyone everything please. connect with me here please. i have 1000s of questions.
anyone awake here?
hi everyone
Hey everyone, anyone who contributed in gsoc and got certoficate ??
I think there's a video that was dropped earlier in the chat that could help with that
Yeah i have seen that video, but still i am too much new in this. Just wanna connect here with experiemced folks. I think once i will start contributing, i will understand more and more with the changing period of time.
Yeah exactly
you can ask the questions here.
Wait tho. Are you saying we wouldn't know the projects/companies beforehand? Like, we should contribute to projects in hope that they would be available in GSOC?
yeah every year there are list of projects join gsoc may be there exist org that join this year and last years and may not exist
you can see gsoc timeline and see orgs listed time
Yeah i will
Have gsoc registrations started for the summer?
Hi all, quick question for anyone who has applied to GSoC or is researching it. What's your biggest pain point in finding the right org and project? I feel like I'm drowning in archive pages and can't tell which orgs are a good fit. How are you managing the research?
**Hey everyone! **
I’m Jit, new to open source and planning to aim for GSoC 2026. Super excited to start this journey and learn from you all 😄
I’ve got a few questions I’m hoping experienced contributors can help me with:
What’s the best way to start preparing for GSoC?
After picking an org, should I just set up the project, fix small issues, and start making PRs?
Do I need to tell the org that I’m contributing with GSoC in mind?
What’s the right process after finding a good org?
And any tips on building the right mindset for open-source collab?
Any advice, resources, or personal experiences would really help!
Thanks in advance..
Can someone help me regarding GSoC 2026,
I looked into some open source repo and I am not able to know how to find issues, what issues to solve, will the issue be first assigned to me or I should start working on it,
Can someone clear these issues
Hi Swapnil! When you find an issue you want to work on, first comment on it asking if you can take it up, don’t start working right away. Maintainers will confirm or assign it to you. Usually, look for “good first issue” tags, read the contributing guide, and start with small fixes to get familiar with the project.
ok, got it, thanks
can you tell some good, repos where I can contribute to
I have good experience with python, javascript, little bit of typescript, started go recently, AI agents, LLMs, Agentic solutions etc
Hello Everyone ,I am 2nd year student who just knows python, C and git and I want to contribute to GSOC at any cost but I have few questions for anyone who has applied to GSoC or is researching it. What's your biggest pain point in finding the right org and project? I feel like I'm drowning in archive pages and can't tell which orgs are a good fit. How are you managing the research?
Hello Everyone, my name is Sushruth, want to contribute for gsoc 2026, i am someone who is interested in AI, ML and Backend. I have a few questions to ask for, how do i find the required mentors? How to select which org is the one i need? How to manage the researching aspects of it?
Thanks for your interest in Google Summer of Code!
We are currently wraping up GSoC 2025 program and we haven't announced the next program's edition, for more information visit g.co/gsoc. You also read the FAQ, Contributor Guide, Program Rules, and view short videos to understand more about the program.
hey guys admins can you tell me what skills do i need to learn any no. of hackathons i need to win and some coding rating and some no. of projects and courses i need to learn for becoming a full stack developer at google please tell me and also tell about gsoc also should i do courses from top universities and get thier certifictaes or should i do them from the companys site to know skills and get thier badges or certificates
The first thing you need is to get good at basics
You need to be good at logical reasoning
Then u can think about the code which you want to make
Then at least you need 6 months to be good at web dev stack which is very entry level stack -> { html,css,js}
Then you can learn about data bases like sql and postgresql
Then going towards advanced topics you need to learn express js , mongodb, nodejs, react
And at least you have to put 2-3 years in all of these above languages and makes you hand dirty with it to stand out
Thank you sam but I wanna tell you one thing that I have completed this Stack
So you have completed the mern stack ?
How much time have you spent on these languages
Hello, I'm looking if there's a way to subscribe to get notified when contributors can start applying for next GSOC?
sir I am also thinking of learning ai(python ,libraries, numpy panda ,little data sciemce ,nlp , dl,llm machine learning and then go for cybersecurity will that be good for me or just full stack is enough to get n google
i also have to learn first for contributing in gsoc and regiter in this jan or feb
Hi
So the main thing is strong which you're at good at then try to contribute in urgent needed issues of open source companies
They can give you a good start
After some time try to solve more complicated issues then you're good to go , get highlighted by this
Oh nice sir thank you and if there are really some other guys or girls they can join me in learning for gsoc then he she can dm me so that we can both dicuss and study together. Thank you for cooperation everybody .
I appreciate you asking specific questions, it makes it a lot easier to answer them
- I would say getting an idea about the main computer science topics/tracks, Operating systems, Machine learning, DevOps, Mobile, Backend, Frontend, etc. No need to get an idea about all of them, the goal at the end is to pick one or a couple of them that you love and then this will be very helpful since it wil make you able to decide which Orgs and Projects you will like working on.
- Yes, if you picked the Org before the projects were announced, then this is the standard approach and a very good one.
- This is a bit debateable I think, I don't see a harm generally in saying that you have GSoC in mind, but it isn't a necassity, also I think a nice way to view it is that if you are working with an Org that you think is very cool, you will benefit and enjoy from contrubuting with them even if you don't get into GSoC with them, it will be a great experience away from GSoC, so I think this is a nice way to look at it when contributing, since there is a chance that when they announce their GSoC projects, you don't like them.
- As you said, start talking with them, understanding what they do, and making small contributions.
Thanks for your interest in Google Summer of Code!

Hi everyone, I've been trying to make contributions to an org but most of the times they aren't any issues or the issues already get assigned before I see them or few times the issues are overly complex for someone like me to solve, I'd like to know whether they are other means I could contribute to an organization asides looking for issues
Thanks!
Hi I’m new here let me introduce myself my name is David and I’m the Ceo of vixen Ai nice to meet everyone
Nice to meet you David

Thanks ☺️ may I know your name
Can I find this years DeepMind GSoC mentors and maybe get in touch? I can only see the projects, not the mentors. Thanks
Hello everybody . I am lucifer and I hope it would be nice talking to you all and I would learn a lot of tings from you all.
I'm Chimkasi but you can call me Kasy
Yeah it sure would
what i should start learikng so tht i can participate in gsoc
help me really fast now tell me anyone non indian???
Deepmind projects attract so many contributers that they usually don't have mentor interaction. All you can do is understand projects and write a good proposal.
I remember last year, once contributer applications started, lots of people were posting about not being able to get in touch with Deepmind mentors. And the Community Organizer, Stephanie Taylor, told them they won't hear from mentors due to high volume of applicants. So, focus should be on proposal, and to write a good one, you need to understand the project very well.
how do we do deepmind projects?
from where do we start preparing for gsoc and how do we apply?
by deepmind, do you mean deep learning / ml projects?
Ah, understood.
Is there a way to see past succesfull proposals, or something like that? Please do not refer me to another video or FAQ 🙂
Ok nice to meet you kasy
Heey there! I’m new here. Would it be possible to join a project now? I’d love to help out!

Thanks 🫡
@subtle vine You’re welcome! Hope your day’s going great too 😄🌸
nope.
hello my name is harsh and i want to contribute in gsoc anyone gide me please
i really want to get into google

plxz
Going to Google Summer of Code is in no way related to getting into Google.
Just look up the organisations that are participating in GSoC, shortlist the ones that interest you, and then start contributing to their code.
Some organisations, on the other hand, only require good project proposals, like CERN-HSF, I believe.
So, to summarize, shortlist preferred organisations, start contributing and discuss your GSoC aims with the project maintainers.
How do i enter the GSoC?
Thanks for your interest in Google Summer of Code!

How can I participate In GSoC and when it will start
Guys will anyone help me understand more about contributions for GSoC.
what do you need?
you can open orgs that contributed in 2025 and see them and choose the suitable one based on your skills and start contribute to it
@neon cedar
@subtle vine Bro I'm a fresher I know about organizations and some likely stuff but don't know how and where contribute.
Nope we all are fresher😅
you can find orgs here https://share.google/kSgdB8KtwbOx6gEme
use this tool will help you a lot to filter the most suitable org
https://www.gsocorganizations.dev/?filters={"years"%3A["2025"%2C"2024"]%2C"categories"%3A[]%2C"technologies"%3A[]%2C"topics"%3A[]%2C"shortcuts"%3A[]}&search=w
Answer to How to contribute
when you choose the org you will go to their repo and see issues in this repo and start to solve this issue through edit in the codebase
ok and what after solving those issues like where to share them back
also, when gsoc open every org publish some projects that we choose one and start to do it
this will help you a lot cuz u will take a lot of time to understand the code and know how to edit and the code
your chance will increase over the other candidates in gsoc
@subtle vine but where to share those codes after solving issues
you will do PR(pull request) and this PR the authors will see it and revise your code and changes
if everything is ok your PR will be merged if not the mentors will say to you what is the problem
@subtle vine and where can I see my contributed codes
in your PR
there is a lot of orgs you should see the most suitable to you
okay thanks bro👍
hello everyone, I am new here and was looking for some guidance
@errant zinc
thank you
Thanks for it, this is helpful
you are all welcome 🫡
@subtle vine are you preparing for 2026 gsoc too??
Hi everyone! 👋 I’m Harshavardhan from Andhra Pradesh, India. I’m a recent engineering graduate deeply passionate about artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, NLP, generative AI, and agentic AI. I’ve completed hands-on projects in machine learning and generative AI, and I’m actively building and contributing on GitHub. When I was pursuing my B.Tech, I didn’t realize the value of GSoC, so now I’m excited to aim for GSoC 2026. I’m looking forward to collaborating, learning, and contributing to open-source projects, especially in the AI/ML space. I’d love to connect with mentors and previous GSoC contributors, and I welcome any tips, resources, or guidance on getting started, choosing a project, or making impactful contributions. I’m eager to learn and grow with this community and hopefully make a meaningful impact through GSoC! 🚀
Hi everyone! I’m a complete beginner and I don’t know much about GSoC yet. All I understand so far is that it involves contributing to open-source projects and having work on GitHub. Could someone please explain how the shortlisting and selection process actually works, and what I should focus on to improve my chances of getting selected?
maybe I can
@subtle vine tq
Helpp what to do in this server
Hello, you can check the #information channel to know more about our server
yeah!
Which field (web dev/ML/AI/systems) are you targeting?
I think you should know the basics of computer science and every org require skills that is different from org to another org
so you should select org fit to your skills or select one and learn what you will need
So now you should select org after that the other things is easy
data or software in general
Which org have you chosen? If you're comfortable in sharing?
I'm trying for PyMC under NumFOCUS.
Great! you can see it in the org list in the last year
cuz some orgs don't be listed in gsoc
have selected your orgs yet and if yes then have you already started contributions
Actually I took part in hacktoberfest this October and I selected one org and made a contribution too
But as you know due to college exams I wasn't able to complete the competition
But now I think I have a good rapport with few maintainers so should I continue in that org only and try to contact maintainers personally??
yeah i have selected and contribute in it
I didnt like hacktoberfest really😔
if you are comfortable with this org contribute in it
can someone tell me that how much can i learn if i start now for gsocc
help me guys
Hello guys
Myself Lekha
And this is the first time ever that I’m participating in gsoc and I have no idea how to start it or approach the open source organizations please anyone help me with this ?

@subtle vine Thank you☺️
Hey
I’m Lekha here
Can you guys help me with when can I register for the GSoc cause the registrations are not open yet ?
not open yet
Hi everyone! I’m Mamta, a computer science student currently building projects with JavaScript and React. I’m interested in contributing to open-source and preparing for GSoC.
Could someone guide me toward beginner-friendly issues or the right channels/resources to get started?
I would really appreciate any pointers.

What forumn type message board are there for GSoC? I would like to share the very long and ridiculous failures payoneer has i had to deal with to get my payment over GSoC
Hi everyone, does google summer of code have any grants for presenting work at a conference? (I completed my project in Sept, uni conference grant got declined :/ )
No GSOC does not offer travel grants. You can always talk to your org they may be able to help with travel to a conference when presenting your GSOC work.
Thank you, I'll try talking to my org
hello guys can someone tell me how much python is enough to learn for g soc contributions
plwase reply fast guys
Google Summer of Code 2025 is open to participants that are over 18 years old and beginners to open source software development. Please note the full GSoC 2025 eligibility requirements below.
- You must be at least 18 years of age when you register.
- You must be a beginner to open source software development (~2 years of experience).
- You must be eligible to work in the country you will reside in during the program.
- You have not already been accepted as a Student/GSoC Contributor in GSoC two or more times
- You must reside in a country that is not currently embargoed by the United States. See Program Rules for more information.
Google Summer of Code is a global program focused on bringing more developers into open source software development.
That's nice
Hi everyone
Hi
Hi
hello can someone tell me how many times can i apply for gsoc
hello
Hey, from the program rules I found that:
A GSoC Contributor may not participate in the Program if:
- They have previously participated as a GSoC Student or GSoC Contributor in Google Summer of Code two (2) or more times.
Also:
- You may submit up to three (3) proposals in a given year.
- Only one (1) proposal per applicant may be accepted.
So if you were not accepted, you can keep applying as long as you meet the other criteria, but you can only be accepted twice.

heyo, not sure how i missed the invite to this server but I'm a gsoc'25 contributor. Could i please get added to the alumni channel?
I think they add us automatically, don't they?
Hi past GSoC folks! Curious about how GSoC helped you guys in you career, and how did you use it to take on bigger opportunities?
Must be some glitch, i wasnt added too. Just got a mail from GSoC with a link to this server.
Hey! After GSoC I landed a Haskell engineer position at my mentor's company: they open up an opportunity for interns, for which I applied and got hired. This is all I was hoping for after my GSoC project. It was well worth the extra time I invested in getting all our milestones fulfilled.
Is this not such a channel?
how to enrolled in the gsoc
Payoneer hasnt sent me the payment yet ( after two weeks of asking on custommer support ) and My bank says no transactions have been attempted.
Is there anything i can do besides contacting Gsoc support ? I desperately need this payment
Payoneer support only gives canned responses
Did the money show up on your payoneer balance though, if it did and the money got lost between payoneer and your local bank, then I don't think GSoC has anything to do with it, you'll just have to keep pestering payoneer
I am going to cry. It does show up on my payoneer balance
there there
do you still see it on payoneer as we speak?
or is it gone from payoneer but not yet in your bank
does that answer the question
Yes it does, please delete
yeah, at this point, it's totally between you and payoneer
So, pester them any way you can, try their socials
go on reddit and post in the payoneer subreddit if you're on reddit
ping them on x, if you can
eventually, someone with enough power to help or expedite your case will step in
Payoneer support straight does not answer what i ask. I ask things like "what could be the problem, why did the previous payment got delayed , but then sent. Why is this not getting sent at all. Are sure this is being processed with the same bank info as the payment that got succesfully delivered"
And they dont answer. They just say they are working on the issue. FOR TWO WEEKS
yeah, so, go to reddit or x and state your case, many people have solved theirs in that way
From what i have heard, payoneer just keeps cutting corners in customer support. Making these problems the norm. GSoC payments will become unworkable if payoneer keeps being used
I mean, we don't have many certified alternatives, that's the unfortunate truth, if GSoC stopped using payoneer and went with something like wise, you could still have such issues. Wise randomly bans people for no reason whatsoever, you could be in urgent need of your money and they could wake up from a nap and decide you're dodgy, boom, account closed, can't do anything. These are the dangers of virtual banking
There is so much more services. I know a bunch of services with good support myself. And i am not into online payments
I had to deal with kraken and they had top notch support
are those other services certified?
By whom?
The "certification" isn't just a simple badge they can get from a single organisation, it's about meeting stringent legal and security standards set by powerful entities, so, many online banking services exist, but very few have the massive infra, global licensing footprint and rigorous security compliance needed to handle the complexities that accompany online banking.
If they don't meet these industry standards, then google will probably not use them
this is the situation where escalating to Google Admins in appropriate.
Please send us an email to our support address with your Discord username, email and name, we'll send you the instructions once again to be added into the GSoC Alumni channel.
GSoC Admins
Wise is largely account less, the reciever does not need to have an account to use it
atleast in my country, don't know if they have accounts abroad
that's actually pretty cool
Hey,
When will the registrations for GSoc open ?
jan 2025
Then by when should we contact the organizations for contributions?
Are you participating first time in gsoc?
can anyone help me i am stuck in the preparation
GSoC 2026 is here!
✨
Please visit our official GSoC website and review the 2026 Timeline to know more about the program. Also, the Contributor Guide is always a crucial resource to increase your chances of being accepted.

Hi 👋 I’m very new to this server, I saw it linked in the Google Labs server and thought I’d join.
I’ve never contributed to an open-source project before and I’m about 50% done with an online programming program from Scrimba right now.
Anyone have any insight if it’s too early for me to even think about contributing or not?
Thanks for the info
I don't think it's too early. I think gsoc is a great opportunity to start learning about open source after all it's for beginners who want to learn, you could start now and improve your programming foundations and with the right approach I think everything would be fine!🤗
Lol small world (check mutuals 😂)
Yes it’s my first time
Hey everyone I am new here, trying GSOC first time , any tips from people who have participated earlier too?
@cold yarrow
Thanks for all the positive messages appreciate it, hope to level up during this event.
We actually have 1 mutual lol, small world!

Hello buddy
Hi
What is certificate criteria of gsoc ,2026....if none of our pull requests are merged although some of our pull requests are submitted would we obtain certificate of gsoc , 2026

Hi
I am new there, discord as well as in GSOC.
I have learned mern stack and also have some understanding of C and C++.
I am looking to contribute in gsoc, but have not any projects earlier.
I am new to open source.
Can i contribute or do i need some experience to contribute?
@simple raven
GSoC is limited to two participation period , NOT two successfully completed participation, correct?
This seems to answer your query
https://groups.google.com/g/google-summer-of-code-discuss/c/HMbe78ulgn8?pli=1
if you are accepted it counts as participation
Yes it does, thank you for confirming. google gemini was hallucinating hard with a different conclusion.
How's it going yall?
I still havnt found beginner friendly gsoc org that is in MERN or next js lol
Hi! I had a quick question, like... if someone participates in GSoC and contributes really well, so.. does that increase the chances of being hired at Google later? I know GSoC isn’t a direct hiring pipeline, but I’m curious how Google views strong open-source contributions when evaluating candidates. Thanks-in-advance!
If you build something creative and useful it increases your chances of getting hired anywhere in general
@muted sparrow Program Details | Google Summer of Code https://share.google/vP6cqQx4PvGO49s5l
Google Summer of Code is a global program focused on bringing more developers into open source software development.
Makes sense, thank you! So strong open-source contributions + building something meaningful matter more than just being in GSoC, correct?
In my opinion yes
Recruiters usually test your skills
And just being part of something, unless it had a really difficult entry, does not mean that much
So the real value is in the actual skills we demonstrate and the quality of what we build, not just the GSoC. Thanks alot for your clarity explanation!
Thanks a lot it was helpful
Use Google Ai studio it gives better response and quality
Idk how to start aiml give me some tips and resources
Correct, you can only participate twice in the program (including a successful completion of the program and not successfully completed project)
Hello everyone 👋
I'm Siri Vennela currently persuing 3rd year . I'm proficient with Python, ubuntu, R, data analytics, Machine Learning and making AI agents. Also, I'm having an experience in Qiskit and pennylane. Currently Iam participating in Winter code of social, and I want to participate in GSOC 2026 for contributing in Qiskit based projects and quantum computing machine learning (QML) projects. Actually I'm completely new over here so I'm facing little issues in selecting organisations and contacting the mentors. Can anyone please provide any guidance so that I can contribute in Qiskit based projects?
Thank you for your interest in GSoC!
🚀
We just announced the GSoC 2026 program (we do not know about the next participating Orgs) But you can look for the 2025 Organizations here
You also read the FAQ, Contributor Guide, Program Rules, Timeline and view short videos to understand more about the program. ☺️
Yes, why not? Not only google even all the companies want that kind of persons who will do well in open source
But is it rlly guaranteed that by gsoc, is there Chance to get placed or atleast get an internship? Whether some of past contributors got placed by gsoc?
no you are not going to be guaranteed any kind of internship post GSoC with Google or any other company. If that is your goal then GSOC is not the program for you.
Hello, i am very much intrested in contibuting in gsoc 2026, but i am very confused what exactly i can do now ( from dec to feb period). Like i have checked out some past orgs but how can i start contribuiting in their projects. Someone please guide.
Start with a beginner friendly issue. Just read what they ask for, but you're a beginner, you won't understand. In that issue, they'll mention what they want to fix/achieve. Open the relevant code files in your code editor and just understand what is being done. Use LLMs to help you understand what's being done, but never use LLMs to write code that you'll later push to the repo.
But where can i get the repo of an orgs current year's projects ?
Go to https://www.gsocorganizations.dev/
2025 orgs are there. Filter them by your interests. To see the projects of this year, just scroll down in that org's page.
Then go to their repos online and start your journey.
Thank you for your clarification. Right now, my interest in enchancing my open source contribution in the organisations in GSoc. One of my peer highlighted this statement so it made me wonder if it is.
GSoC will definitely improve your skills as an open source contributor.
Hello I know python should I go in gsoc
I have completed python from Harvard course on youtube should I go in gsoc
And I also want to make sme friends internationally
Sorry for that, I need help on the based of GSoC how to join and how to get the project can you explain it

2022 Updates:
GSoC is now open to non-students so we are no longer requiring proof of enrollment forms.
The programing period is still 12 weeks, however it is possible to ask your mentor to lengthen your coding period to up to 22 weeks to complete your project.
Thank you for providing me, this video is helpful
Hello everyone,
I’m interested in contributing to Google DeepMind this year, as I was really inspired by the projects from last year. I wanted to confirm whether it is necessary to make contributions to any existing Google DeepMind repositories before the organizations release this year’s problem statements.
Thank you for your guidance.
this might sound weird but I really wanna get selected in that particular org but I am sort of less confident about getting in
Is there anyone who already cracked GSOC in previous years or you know someone who did it, I wanna to ask how much time in a day I have to give for project if I start my contributions early, most likely in these days
same i am into AI and stuff and i am choosing google deepmind this year its my first time to GSOC hope i will learn alot
We have not announced the GSoC 2026 orgs yet. Not every org that participated in 2025 will participate in 2026.

If anyone has experience with it or is also just starting out, I’d really appreciate some help or a partner to navigate this with. Can also DM me personally. Thanks in advance! 🙏"
i see projects of the year 2025, but will they be the part of gsoc 2026? i know it's not 100% sure will that org be in 2026 or not , but lets say i picked a org that has a good past record, and i started contributing in that org's 2025 projects, so will those contributions hold value for 2026 ?

Thank You so Much sir!

Hey
Thank you sir
What is a GSoC and what is it's benefits?
Can someone explain
What is GSoC?
Google Summer of Code (GSoC) is an open-source program that brings together students and open-source organizations. Each organization publishes a list of projects, and applicants choose the organization and project they want to work on and apply for it.
Benefits of GSoC
You learn how to read and understand other people’s code and how to contribute to large, real-world projects.
You learn how to adapt to existing systems and workflows, which makes it much easier to adapt when you join a company in the future.
It is a paid internship, so you gain both practical experience and financial support.
You work with highly experienced mentors from the open-source community and learn a lot from their guidance.
Hey there, I have a question. Since current employees/interns can’t participate in GSoC, I believe former employees or interns can apply with the same organization they worked with — is that correct?
If yes, then I have another question. Since applications open on 16 March 2026, would an intern or employee whose employment ended on 28 February be eligible to participate?
Hello, i would love to discuss on GSOC. Anyone is up?
Hi there
Yes, you can ask direct and if anyone know they will respond
Do we need to have strong os contribution to get selected for some project ?
It depends on a lot of things
may be project is hard than other and vice versa
or the community may be active one or not
can anyone please reply if they know anything about it @somber basalt
I would like to ask when Syrians who wish to participate in GSoC 26 will be allowed to do so, given that the sanctions on Syria have already been lifted?
Thanks in advance.
Hi! We responded to your inquiry in a thread with our support email. 🤓
Thank you !!
Hi, I have completed Full Stack Development along with basic DevOps. I have also learned basic programming languages such as Python and C++.
I missed GSoC last year, but now I want to actively contribute and apply for GSoC 2026. I have been contributing to open source through GSSoC for the past two years, where I have worked as both a Project Admin and a Contributor.
I would appreciate guidance on what steps I should take next to strengthen my profile for GSoC 2026.
heyy
this is fellow SY BscIT student, I tried to get into GSoC last year, but got intimidated and backed out, any guildlines for the prep and to strengthen my participation please?
Im somewhat confident with python, java and sql
Im currently learning ML through Deeplearning.ai ie the Stanford Course by Andrew
Open to any and all suggestions please
Hello everyone! I hope you’re all enjoying the holiday season.
My name is Sahil Kakadiya, nice to meet you all. I recently graduated from UC Irvine with a Master’s degree in Embedded and Cyber-Physical Systems in December 2025. This past summer, I interned at Google on the Wireless Technology team, working specifically with NextGen the Bluetooth LE HDT.
I’ve heard a lot about Google Summer of Code over the years, but I hadn’t applied previously. I did explore some projects last year, though I didn’t submit an application. This year, I’m very interested in applying and getting involved.
My background is in Embedded Systems and Wireless Technologies, with a strong focus on Edge AI deployment and optimization, especially at the intersection of embedded platforms and wireless systems with both software and hardware design knowledge.
I noticed that the orientation and enrollment start around late January. If anyone is working on or mentoring a project related to my area of expertise, I’d be very happy to contribute and collaborate it would also be a great opportunity for me to further sharpen my skills.
Thank you for sharing all the details. I’m also sharing my profile link here for reference.

Hy everyone, actually I want to take part in Gsoc but I don't know how to prepare for that. I don't have any mentor who will guide me. If anyone of you have any idea plz guide me. Waiting for reply
Hey! I can help 😊
Most people struggle with GSOC because they don’t know where to start, which org to choose, or how to build a strong proposal—especially without a mentor.
I can guide you step-by-step: choosing the right org, preparing skills, making first contributions, and writing a solid proposal.
Quick question to start:
👉 What’s your current skill level and preferred tech stack (e.g., Python, JS, ML, Web, etc.)?
Hi @topaz idol I am interested in the same as above, I am proficient in Python with 3 years of commercial experience.
You can just send me a message
@topaz idol hey josh !! just starting my career from zero can I get some guidance too ??
Yeah sure. .. you can message me also
Hi @topaz idol, This is my first time applying for GSoC, but I am confused which org is good for me, can I get some guidance too ?
Sure ma'am
sorry for my confusing profile, I am actually a boy 😅
Just message me
This is my first time applying . I need the guidance
Hi everyone! I'm Junaid, and I'm a prospective GSoC 2026 student. I just submitted a Pull Request to the google-deepmind/gemma repository!
I’ve built a Native MCP Gateway for Gemma 3. It allows the model to use local tools (like checking system stats or files) using the new Dec 2025 control tokens.
Check it out here : https://github.com/google-deepmind/gemma/pull/482
Would love any feedback from the community and mentors!

everybody says that you should work in open source and mostly people shows to contribute through just manipulating the readme md file but it don't give real world idea on how we can contribute.
if anybody can help and explain how we should take an approach with a real example it would be great.
if anyone before has ever contribute to the open source please DM me.
I have good grab in java, python, html, css, c, c++
and also works in Android studio.
known to tailwind, R, javascript, flask, pygame, kivy, numpy, pandas.
If anybody can help , I will be thankful to him/her.
Hello everyone
I am interested in participating GSoC 2026 with basic knowledge of C++, Python, HTML & CSS. Looking for suggestions for beginner-friendly organizations and guidance on how to start contributing and prepare for GSoC.
Your help would mean a lot. Thank you!
Could we contribute to gsoc , 2026 from present date or else do we have to wait till March, 2026 for our contributions to be counted
So that we obtain a certificate of gsoc , 2026

Hi everyone! 👋
I am planning to apply for the first time this year and I'm really excited about the opportunity.
A bit about me: I am a DevOps Engineer with experience in backend.
Since I am new to the program, I would appreciate some guidance on a few things:
Finding the right project: Any tips on identifying organizations that specifically look for DevOps/Infrastructure contributions?
Proposal advice: What makes a proposal stand out for infrastructure-heavy projects?
Thanks in advance for your help! Best of luck to everyone applying! 🚀

Hi everyone 👋
I’m Rashmi, a BTech AI first year student, and I’m new to open-source contributions.
I want to start contributing to Keras and learn the proper contributor workflow. I’m comfortable with Python but i don't have much exposure in machine learning, and I’ve never contributed to an open-source project before.
I’d really appreciate guidance on:
where an absolute beginner should start with Keras,
whether there are beginner-friendly issues or documentation tasks, and
which discussion channels Keras contributors actively use (GitHub discussions, mailing lists, etc.).
Hii everyone ! I am yash from pune, india. I am a 3rd year BTech cs student. I've never contributed to open source and was not involved in coding until now because I didn't know anything about computer science when I started pursuing BTech and there was no one to guide, but I am engaging to learn and contribute my best in coding. I just joined the community and got the first task to introduce myself 😅 looking forward for a cheerful and engaging community experience 😀
Hey everybody!
Preeti here, currently I'm a pre-final CSE undergraduate, I’m interested in developing full stack solutions and implementing AI/ML-enabled features. I’ve dabbled in projects that involve backend APIs and ML models combined with data pipelines.
I’ve previously worked on things like computer vision, AI-powered apps, and tooling.
I looking forward to getting hands-on with real codebases and understanding how things work under the hood.
As a beginner in open source I'm eagerly willing to learning from the community and gradually taking on more impactful tasks!
Hey everyone
I am Stella, a pre-final CS undergraduate. I am a frontend developer and I am looking to apply to GSoC for the 2nd time. Wish us all the best
Hi Stella, can you share your experience in which organisation you worked on how to contribute and create a proposal
@fair ospreyHey, it's better if you include such links in your Discord profile as per rules it would count as self promo.
can you share your first experience of GSOC
is it true that you have to have all green in our git contribution section since the last 18 months for getting into gsoc companies ??
No, that's not true at all. Where did you hear that?
Youtube and conversation on redit
You can start contributing now or at least learn how Git and Github works so it's easier for you to later write proposal and apply. But what you heard is totally untrue.
Read GSoC's official articles; YouTube and reddit has many misleading claims.
I've not applied last year, but I was closely learning GSoC so I've seen contributors selected to orgs of my choice were not previously super active on Github, necessarily.
Thanks for the clarification! I will start the contribution ASAP. Happy coding
You too! Good luck on your application 🍀
hello, where can I see the timeline for GSoC '26?

FOLLOW THIS VIDEO :https://youtu.be/Oe_h_M7Drec
In this video, I will walk you through the GSOC 2026 roadmap, the dos and don'ts of applying to GSOC, what matters, how to find organizations, how I would do it if I had to do it all over again, and my top picks for organizations.
00:00 Introduction & GSOC 2026 Overview
01:52 Why Early College Years Matter
02:23 Step 1: Understanding Oppor...
How much of a beginner are you permitted to be? Idk if thats a dumb question. I'm currently learning C, and a bit in C++, Java, and C#. (basic oop)
Every participant needs to be able to code in whatever language the org is requesting for their project. A beginner in open source software includes people with minimal open source experience (~2yoe). You would still be considered a beginner if your experience only includes:
Personal or class projects, including boot camp projects.
Open source projects that are only used at a single institution. (example: a club website or research that happened to be published as open source at your old university)
Opening a small number (<10) of issues or pull requests against various open source packages.
Continued involvement in an open source project that you joined as part of GSoC.
If you are otherwise a regular contributor to an open source project, you're not a beginner.
I find contributing very intimidating in the first place. And since GSoC is pretty competitive I thought that maybe you needed at least either some experience in contributing to open source or very well versed in a certain language/stack. Is that the case?
You need to be able to code in the programming language used by the organization and the project idea you are applying to (python, C++, etc.). You are not expected to be an expert coder but you do need to have basic knowledge of the programming language (~2yrs) so that you can spend the whole coding period writing code for your project. You should also have an excitement to learn new things and to be mentored by the community you join.
Hi everyone, I am Akash and here mainly for GSOC'26. This is my first time, would appreciate any help or guidance.
I recently completed my Master's from US in CS and currently on student visa in US. I want to make sure that i am eligible for participation. Any idea or guidance on how can i figure it out?
Thank you!
I'm first year student, should I focus on python or c as I want to go for security
everyone is eligible even if student or graduate
the only that not eligible if u participate 2 times at gsoc and have been accepted
the language isn't a problem, u should learn concepts not syntax, if u learn concept well, u can learn any language easily
Thank you for your guidance!
@google summer of code I want to partcipate in it How can I prepare for it ? please guide to me for it
Hey, I'm an incoming freshman this fall. I was looking forward to exploring open source contribution. Can any of y'all help me where to begin with and a roadmap/path to follow to learn open source asw as participate in open source programs and stuff?
I'm thinking of GitLab for my target organization and I've already resolved a fair few issues there. Any more advice?
Hey!
I'm new here :)!
@somber basalt Hey Lucille! May you please provide me some tips for GSoC 2026? My target organizations include Google DeepMind (primary) and JAX.

Hi everyone, I wanted to know I am good at ML particularly machine translation. Is Gsoc for me, I mean do companies at GSoc need a person who knows about ML. As in NLP coding is the most difficult part, concepts and their application is.
Wow I'm expecting more applicants to the GSoC this year. It's getting BIG 🔥
Thank you for circulating this information.
