Hi everyone, I need some advice as a GSoC 2026 contributor.
I registered on Payoneer using the official Google partner link on May 2. My account was approved, but I accidentally accessed the same link a second time — there was no duplicate warning, so a new registration flow started. On May 9, Payoneer permanently closed my account for "violating Terms and Conditions" (duplicate registration). They confirmed they will not reopen it.
I've already emailed [e-mail] but haven't received a reply yet.
Has anyone been in a similar situation? Is there anything I can do besides waiting? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

why would you go through the process again if you already had it approved? Wouldn't you have stopped somewhere during the workflow?

this is a support issue and we have already been working with Payoneer to resolve the issue. But you need to fgive us all the details when you send us a support email. This is not a support channel.

I forgot the purpose code for Payoneer registration, does anyone know what the code is? Is it P0802 or something else? What would happen if someone chose a different code?

yes, P0802. Also while selecting, you should see something like "software consultancy........". So, you can verify that you have entered the correct purpose code by looking at that

get as better at programming as you can, pick a project that you're really interested in and aligns with your tech stack. Start contributing to that project early and communicate with the maintainers there. All the best😄

hi all! during the community bonding period my mentor and i have refined my timeline of my proposal. is there a way to update the proposal pdf to reflect that? i'm able to edit the project detail page and update the title and abstract, but not the submitted pdf

Different languages has their advantages and limitation. The only advantage you can have is to learn ones that are used by the organizations in GSoC

The common ones I find are Python, JavaScript, Rust, Go

Since you will most likely select projects with languages your comfortable in, thatd be a good way

I have yet to participate tho so take what i say with a grain of salt
