I can sort of understand why since the first teaser along with the ALFA ACTA mace had mentions of a castle map, the family fortress/rent a horde, and the mace having additional mace heads/features compared to the classic more tradtional mace. This to me gives me slight sci-fi elements for sure, that and I don't see anyone in real life manufacturing different mace head attachments but I could be wrong

That and there was some vague mention that the castle could be set somewhere in space for the new map but I could also be wrong. The best analysis I have atm is it's like CNS vs VAIIYA but more specifically the clash of said opposing aesthetics and ideas that both the fantasy and Sci-fi genres have. Not to mention a few months back from one of the livestreams I think one of the developers mentioned that actual dragons are coming into the game at some point, which to me also feels quite synonymous with the fantasy genre compared to the actual medieval period and the tales/mythos of the creature that were told throughout Europe's history even though there wasn't any actual historical evidence of proof of it's existence

Sorry again for derailing there guys, but that's my honest speculation from what I gathered so far on this, so it could either be a clash a genres or as someone around here might've said earlier it could be a fusion of both and we could potentially be seeing space knights and moon castles. As for the lore I honestly can't get much out of it atm since we know next season's sponsor is ALFA ACTA and maybe CNS as the first time we could be seeing two returning sponsors for the first time ever in the game's history (but I could be wrong about that as well) and a third party being involved called V.A.I.N. who could either be a head programmer/overseer of the gameshow or the name of the A.I. that runs all the arenas and environment hazards

I only 50% agree with that reasoning. I've had time to think, plus analyzed more frames. Let me pull up some other clues we get.

There are three named windows in the lore video. The left-hand side of the screen is the terminal, named CMD, nothing special.
In the bottom right, we have a window of the BRAIN of the Finals AI. The title of that tab is THEFINALS.EXE . I guess that's what they call it. An AI called THEFINALS.EXE, good to note.

In the screenshot above, however, we see this window with a red-line graph, called ACTA . It seems very weird for Alfa Acta to have its own app running so centrally to this system. That means it must be important, of course, but we're left to speculate as to what that might be...

@robust nova My current theory is that the ACTA module interprets odds/probability. It "sees the future" in the gameshow, makes all the predictions.

Alfa Acta branding is centred around two things:
Minimize Risk
Maximize Firepower

The firepower part is pretty straightforward, but "minimize risk". They talk a lot about risk, and odds. In fact, every product they have includes odds. 100000:1, 50:1, 75:1.

If ALFA ACTA is trying to predict the future and minimalize risk of the A.I. running rampant or out of control, wouldn't that mean they would make the necessary preparations to neutralize or contain it before an extreme incident happens that breaks headlines in the meatspace and through multi-co into another controversy or set of allegations or would that be far fetched of an idea?

Not at all. Let me give you a metaphor 👀.
It's very different to have a machine which watches a Football game and can determine who wins, and predicts the next foul, or the next goal (ALFA ACTA), VS the Stadium security, preventing people from breaking into the stadium (VAIIYA). See the difference?

VAIIYA's security is specialized to predict/fight cyberattack threats. ALFA ACTA might only predict behaviour/sports. Plus, VAIIYA can't see their opponent, they have to defend against unkown threats. ACTA's prediction algorithm, or whatever it is, would be able to analyze a lot of live game info to make those predictions. It can't predict cyber-attacks, that's realistic to assume. Thoughts?

The way I currently view that teaser is that it's in a similar stylization/format to 'three little frogs' but I could be wrong here. but I made this theory before I knew that there was a pre-MultiCo THE FINALS... with that information, I think it's looking a lot more like either an early-MultiCo higher-up, or pre-MultiCo THE FINALS developer.

To me the official lore video seemed to imply that (some of) the pre-MultiCo creators of The Finals are among CNS. CNS is confirmed to exist within meatspace first, and who would be more capable and motivated to disrupt The Finals than former devs disgruntled with the new direction MultiCo is taking the gameshow into?

The newly introduced "Third Force" is apparently only capable of communicating through The Finals itself, so it's unlikely that this entity or faction currently exists within meatspace as well. We see this Third Force altering S10 at the beginning of the trailer as well, where it adds magic and other fantasy elements to a season which MultiCo and ActaAlfa planned to be strictly medieval. It does so quite effortlessly as well, and on a scale which far surpasses any prior disruptions by CNS.

This appears to strongly imply that the Third Force is The Finals' AI itself, now having attained enough sentience and freedom to act upon its own motivations.

It's just a guess, but my gut tells me that this "third faction" is the system AI itself. Plus, the clip of the hand turning the world upside down in the launch trailer, -considering what faction has the power to inject the game with changes, it makes sense to me. But was curious if the community thought similiar or had another idea

Guessing the lore is summed up to this: Pretty much everyone goes into vr for life and calls the real world meatspace for how dystopian it is from climate change and pollution thus disregarding the real world due to how bad and screwed up it is only going out into the real world for food and energy drinks. Its also year 2100. While there is a ton of dark stuff behind the scenes which unfortunately needed to happen to prevent societal collapse thus ending the human race and the finals entirely. This is from my current understanding of the situation. Am I wrong or right here?

its basically "Ready Player One" but more emphasis on The Finals being the top of the top gameshow, kinda like Holliday's easter egg hunt during the movie but combat style, ultracapitalism money business. The death animation is certainly a nod to the movie's death punishment when you die in the game

So it could have just been a way of representing transformation. But I think the AI is the "third faction". But it could be anything, I've been wrong about Finals stuff before, lol

So that makes me think, 1. it's internal, either within multi-co or it's the system (AI) itself. Unless this is going to be some other third hacker group or something. And also, according to their roadmap, they want to introduce Bot Matches in Season 11. So.. my theory is that the AI has been/starting to become more aware of the game it's running and then transforms the game. I think the Bots are going to be explained as the AI. buuuut that is just my guess

hey all! evidence from the BP and lore videos actually suggests that this "Third Force" MIGHT be the original creator of THE FINALS before it was sold to MultiCo

by the looks of it, he uploaded himself into the system right before MultiCo acquired it. So, he's a fully digital entity now. This COULD be the same Finals AI mentioned before, or separate.

Wait, you make a fantastic point. We know that MultiCo wanted this Season to be "regular" "gameshow" medieval, and this third force added a magic spin to it. He wants to make it more of a fantasy.
This is basically the same thing that happened in the Kyoto Season 3 arena. Kyoto was supposed to be modern day.

Scotty was a former contestant, and it seems like the real-world launches of the seasons seem to correspond to the state of the gameshow itself. Like we as players are playing the multi-co version, but I think that the show was popular in-universe before that and that's when Scotty competed.

And the AI being the creator, or maybe he references himself as the creator because the AI generates the game - he literally creates the world we play in. Could be the real world creator as the AI right, so there is something going on there. But real creator turned AI or just the AI itself is definitely seems to be that third party

well it's a weird in between. the AI is self contained, and writes code as it dreams. That code is what the game is

CNS can upload the map files into the system, which describes the layout/design of the map.

The AI might fiddle with it, or interpret it in its own way, we don't know if it even touched it

@dense leaf since they put out "video announcements" (like the 3 Frogs one) using the same purple aesthetic, I think CNS have control over their own aesthetics. They choose purple and glitchy, they choose wireframe.

The glitchy map is just their design. They don't care about realism, they just want to make a gameplay space of their own, maybe basing it off of a real city.

MultiCo had an "MultiCo Early Talent Program (METP)" which turned Ursa into.. what he is now

Odilia is a player of THE FINALS, a very skilled one at that. She competed against Ursa in the Grand Major many years ago, and beat Ursa (20-ish years ago)

Odilia was part of a squad called Shadow Flock, but she's the only team member we know about
