-CNS takes control of The Finals adding new gadgets and a new map SYS$Horizon, despite this intrusion The Finals attempts to continue as normal
-In an attempt to purge CNS from the systems The Finals brings in Vaiiya, a cybersecurity company to isolate and eliminate the threat of CNS within

in the new mode Terminal Attack you decrypt glitchy keys, seemingly those of CNS, and get rewarded for it by The Finals

If it's not the real world and it's a simulation, why is VAIIYA going to search for something in some place when they can just do it in the real world? And why is that guy cooking in the game? For what purpose?

Another thing is, okay, if they were not kidnapped from the real world but were kidnapped in their VR, who the hell are those guys from Japan? Are they real people too? How did they get into Kyoto? Or is it a computer simulation? And again, why is security searching for someone in VR when they can find them in the code or something? I don't get the point. If VAIIYA find someone in VR, they can just pull off their VR headset and quit. So what's the point?

When weather condition is heavy, one of the casters makes it a very slight point that contestants will have to deal with wettness. I am very firm in hearing some variant of this voice line. This could mean that Contestants can feel the world ingame. It would sorta explain why they even bother expressing pain. Assuming they can feel, I wouldn't put it past some people to practice some daily tasks such as culinary arts in VR. They can respawn as many ingredients as they like and practice all day without any worry.

I also wondered what it would be like if say, Ariad came across actual Vaiiya agents and I figured that, as the match goes on, they'd try and trace his location or disconnect him in game. But then again CNS upped the ratings of the show so the showrunners can't exaclty deal with them out in the open. They have to just coexist and try to deal with it when the audience isn't watching.

They probably aren't using VR headsets, I think. It's probably more neural or something that plugs the mind into the VR world. It could SORTA explain why the TA announcers asks contestants if they drank Ospuze before the match started. They need some level of caffeine or a boost before plugging into a match I'd imagine. Could the reboot bring this final boss into the game?

This is my theory, who knows the AI inside it better than engineers or devs working on it? Maybe they noticed it was sentient someday. Knowing it could never experience the outside "world" and would be probably discarded at some point a group of "rogue" engineers decided to free it. CNS means Central Nervous System something a conscious being would have. So it would not be just an AI mainframe anymore but more of a brain.

CNS Sounds more like the name of a governing body, more than another company. Idk I can only think of one other big brand that is 3 abbreviated letters which is KFC. But think of the literal HUNDREDS OF 3 letter of government involved organisations.

The reason governing bodies could be involved is them trying to break us out of the virtual world. As we could be stuck in it at the mercy of the developers.

We are never allowed to leave the Finals, or to leave some sort of Digital Match, maybe because now of governing agencies trying to stop the finals, people are more skeptical of getting involved in the show, therefore bringing them more viewers. Which is why sponsors are ofcourse involved, spending endless revenue on to The Finals advertising, which could explain that the governing body is struggling to shut the show down, as there is too much more and corruption involved within the elites.
