We know that the OCE region is the smallest, and the small player pool (plus folks using other servers / not playing ranked much) is the main reason for longer queue times. We just don't currently have info on whether any changes will be applied to the matchmaking, but we'll keep checking in. Totally understand it's a frustration point for you.

It's not that there long que times, it's that ranked games in OCE seem to not exist anymore. Been 2 weeks since we've been able to find a match even with coordinated que server times.

Playlists need to be consolidated, ranked reduced to 3 rounds, include an Asia/Oceania dual que option, remove SBMM from OCE ranked or just anything to promote ranked in OCE. Can only play casual, and casual is simply boring in these type of games.

Where is OCE specifically located? I'm always seeing a white latency Indicator in my screen and im curious on my ping going in OCE. Like from SE asia mainly Japan/Philippines location. I really wanna migrate to a different server so bad....

I played a multiple games in OCE, and even with I think I got estimated 100+ ping I think it felt way fairer without me try harding like I used to in my casual matches in Asia due to suspicious Chinese Players.

I mainly play in Asia casual/rank lobbies (Diamond Asia in my main account) and with my OBS replays I can assure/confirm people are really suspicious like this tm8 toggling SOFTLOCK without really noticing it until you go check it. Overall I get a sht experience playing on my own server at the moment.

@broken mango yalls game went from 240k+ in December when you dropped the finals it now from what i checked last night has 20k people playing on pc through steamcharts now i know the numbers are abit iffy with steam charts but still you made a game mode that diluted the ranked system. I love the finals i want to sink in more hours i don't have a problem with playing on Asia or OCE servers but this doesn't mean its okay for it to be dead in one single country your game is going to die slowly if you guys don't come up with a plan in the next month or you will have an country thats not gonna play your game anymore because of poor decisions and please rework the red barrel make it when you strap 2 c4 on it it has a weight factor to it that weighs it down

You guy's have met cheaters, just not noticable cause softlocks are hard to detect with keen eye. Always in Asia, if they add replay killcams in replays oh boi your in for a treat. Even with that estimations, once you factor in MMR rank, and the different modes, and people quing asia for shorter wait times, it still comes down to the fact that three's not enough OCE players to keep the servers alive,

im sure the OCE servers have the worst profit/cost ratio as well, so they only have them to keep this cry baby region happy.

I just wish the Devs would release some numbers on OCE player count, population and everything and be more transparent to the fact that its not a server issue, but a player count issue

At this point oce ranked will stay dead simply because it is dead, unless the devs themselves draw attention to it. But then it becomes a matter of what's their incentive to do that? The queue times indicate that the silent majority of people either don't meet the ranked requirement and will stop playing before they reach it, or don't even think about playing ranked because they don't value that sort of thing. I don't think many of us realize that this ranked issue is a vocal minority

The queue is literally broken. We've coordinated 30+ people in another server to queue for OCE at the same time, multiple times in peak hours. It doesn't pop no matter how long you wait. Prior to 1.5, in fact even just before 1.5 was released, we were finding games even past midnight on OCE. Not to mention that Xbox players still can't queue into OCE without queueing with a PC player.

VPN can get you banned because EAC flags it as "susspicious program" or atleast most of them. Game is blocked in China this way so it might vary from place to place but this prevents Chinese players from playing the game due to Embark not complying with the new Chinese in game purchase rules and weekly reward system that apparently forces players to spend too much time in the game. You can try but most AU people I play with just swap region in game and it works fine, they have around 90-120 ping.

Do not bother to queue on OCE, you would need atleast 48 players with the same MMR, 96 players with close enough MMR or 144 mixxed players across all ranks to even get into a single match where the rest that would not be selected would be still pending in queue til the whole tournament ends.

Even if you coordinate teams, it's based of your hidden mmr. Not your rank.

So someone with really high win rate/KD that's bronze will have a mmr of a gold or plat, so it's borderline impossible to coordinate teams.

We would need 50 players to queue solo, and have the matchmaking place us in specific teams based on our mmr so each team is the same average rank

What are you talking about? Have you even played the game? Have you ever played any game at all? The Finals ranked match REQUIRES 48 players at the same MMR which means Match Making Rating... That puts you into a game with people that are similar skill to you... In The Finals patch notes when the game started to rapidly decline, they had to update match making to bigger skill gap and for groups of 3, Bronze can be matched against Diamond... It so funny to see people that still in 2024 do not understand how online multiplayer FPS games work...

and yeah queueing all at once in hopes of a game is def the wrong way to go about it. as I mentioned a few days ago, I feel like the best COA (course of action) would be to just sit in ranked queue for a few minutes every time you boot the game up, and the more people start doing that the more games we'll get. It's not about getting ONE game, it's about consistently getting shorter load times and getting full, playable games. If we were to all just queue together one time it wouldn't fix much, we need to all be putting at least a couple minutes into loading up ranked, every session we play. and as stated, the more consistent we all are with that, and the more people start doing it, the faster we can revive OCE ranked. bc being real, noone wants to play asia servers. It's 2 minutes out of everyones day in exchange for, fun, playable, functioning ranked queues. and trust me, once you unlock all the unlockables you REALLY want to start grinding ranked

You make a good point.
Definitely better longterm for the oce server experience if everyone gets in the habit of trying oce first.
The last two days I queued for an hour while making a snack and couldn’t bag a game.
I just cant see people regularly queuing when it feels so hopeless.
But a community organised event where we all jump on seemed like a fun way to ensure we all get a match.

But they both work towards the same goal.
So I would encourage both of them.

Tbh no one seems interested, and that’s cool, this feels like a full time pr job trying to rally people, I think I’m just gonna keep on queueing oce as usual and hopefully s2 will bring some players.

A few days after the update, the OCE finals discord ( not this one, another discord) ran events with 40+ players all queuing at the same time at night, we did that every night for atleast a week, we definitely would have had more that 48 people queuing at once, not once did we successfully get into a game.

People speculated the oce servers were shut down, or the match making was broken.

But the issue is just the game can't make a "fair" match with the low pop, especially when all the good players (plat-diamond) 3 stack which fuckes over the mm even more.

There was countless screenshots of 1hr queues for oce, hence why everyone has given up at this point

A broken clock is right twice a day. You didn't actually know though, as many pointed out the dropoff happened suddenly after the patch, so the assumption of a server issue was completely justified. i mean ive been in like a total of 2 whole ranked games in 40 hours, then again i stopped searching for it and gave up
i think its just a mid system for a 'lower' playerbase like oce
i forgot specifics but ranked takes like 70 games to play and then you have to search for a tournament game
you have to dedicate way more time to tournament games and a lot of people are unfamilar with it after playing just quick cash the whole time, i honestly wish there was a ranked quick cash
and then there just people like me who just forget searching anymore because its so hard to find a game

imo asia servers are fine, i might be bad at recognising cheaters but ive only had 1 or 2 so far while playing ranked
and for the most part the ping is playable

Cheaters ranks/mmr are usually really high, diamond ranked last season had atleast 1 cheater in every lobby, sometimes two or 3 teams cheating per game.

Asia might be fine for any player in bronze-gold, but plat-diamond players encounter them litterslly every single game 😦

"ASIAN SERVERS" have at least one cheater in every two games, at the least. i played for a few hours yesterday with rage hackers in 9/10 games

I'm not talking about other regions, NA has less cheaters and i play there to get away from asian servers

i guess your MMR is so low you get matched with simiar .5KD players, theres a massive consensus that Asia ranked is riddled with cheaters.
these cheaters have on average 4+ KD's.

im pretty sure you're either in silver ranked, have a low KD/MMR or smoking meth if you think that theres not a hacker in every second game in asia

Oce is dead because everyone in oce plays asia but if the ocean players came back then there would be oce ranked severs and we wouldn't have to deal with cheaters. We just need one big announcement that says that oce player go back on the oce severs because people are not clearly getting the msg

i dont care enough about this game to scrim, i was top 900 or something in season 1 but its not a flex, ranked only rewarded play time, not skill, getting top500 only shows that you played consistently for 5+hrs a day

im not talking about people i think are hacking, im talking about chinese names that insta kill when you peak a fresh angle, with one player on 10kills 8k damage

Its not about the players they actually broke the OCE ranked servers in the 1.5 patch and never fixed it

When is the best time to queue to get an oce ranked game? Asia finds games quickly but I always get that lag icon and it feels painful playing there they are too good and I get matched with guys who get zero kills which doesn't help lol
