Colossal Showdown:

Multiple squads drop into a city map under siege by a giant Kaiju. The goal: work together to take down the monster before it destroys the map entirely… while still competing to rack up the most damage score for bragging rights and rewards. (It can be improve obviously)

  1. Objective:

The Kaiju starts rampaging through the city, destroying buildings, swatting players, breathing fire/acid/etc.

Each squad earns points by dealing damage to the Kaiju and by clearing smaller “minion” Kaijus that swarm the streets.

If the timer expires or all players are wiped at the same time, the Kaiju wins.

Smaller Enemies

Mini-Kaijus (human-sized monsters) constantly harass players, forcing some teammates to deal with them while others focus on the big guy.

Special “brute” variants that smash through cover and “spitter” types that create poison zones.

Player Tools

Weapons Drops: Randomly dropped supply crates with rocket launchers, railguns, and experimental explosives.

Climb & Grapple Points: Let players scale buildings to target the Kaiju’s weak spots (eyes, glowing plates, exposed joints).

Rewards

Cosmetic Unlocks themed around Kaiju fights (battle-worn armor, hazard suits, monster claws on gloves).

Weekly leaderboard for fastest Kaiju kills.

Why This Would Work in The Finals:

Gives players a low-pressure, co-op option when they don’t want sweaty PvP.

Still keeps The Finals’ insane destruction physics front and center.

Perfect for seasonal events (Halloween giant mutant, summer Mecha Kaiju, etc.).

I have a theory friends... embark is waiting for the new season drop date to release the fcar and pike nerf along with changes like an ARN nerf and a really big WINCH nerf. Changing the meta mid season is not in the habit of embark except for when people discover exploits with changes they make. 30 more days... if i dont see the changes that i believe this game needs, this game will be dead to me and a lot of other players...

I just introduced a friend to the game, he has <20 games on his account, and when partied with them I got significantly harder lobbies than I normally do. For these matches it was all Ruby and Diamond players. That makes no sense, ive been gold/plat every seasin Ive played.
We tried quick cash, powershift, wt and ranked.

I looked some players up on the leaderboard and they're all top 3k players.

As expected my friend quit playing and I partied up with someone who's played the game since season 1 and we got extremely easy lobbies.

I believe new accounts are treated as top players rather than the worst players. This theory aligns with the common complaints that new players are having a bad time.

Please look into matchmaking, I have no friends that play the game and this sucks that my friend got griefed out

They sword change today was not enough. The angle lock needs to be completely removed or at the very least increased to 180 degrees in every direction. That way people can’t keep spinning and become a huge active hitbox, but it doesn’t feel so extremely restrictive

There should be the ability to convert VRs into multi bucks or something. Once you have all the guns gadgets and sights there is literally nothing to use them on. Make like 500 VR = 100 multi bucks or something

first impressions with head 2 head have been really good so far for me

winning fights or someone running off to get kills on a flank will always be good for you/further the objective in your interest
it may have a slight tendency towards ending somewhat 1-sided, but until now it hasn't felt bad to me, as loosing/winning in a match like that was almost exclusively our own fault for just being worse/better, leading to what feels like satisfying deserved wins/losses

if this solidifies itself, i hope it can stick around permanently

Powershift on SYSHORIZON is uniquely frustrating as the low elevation of the platform coupled with lots of vantage points difficult to contest without grapple makes sniping on this map in powershift unfairly frustrating to play against, with very little counterplay available. Goo walls are burned with thermal bore or pyro grenade, dome/mesh shields are glitched, smoke grenades are thermal visioned, barricades aren't tall enough to block the highly vertical sightlines. Raising the elevation of the powershift platform to the level of the bridge at the midway point makes it easier for those on the platform to contest snipers, while still giving snipers some power positions

embark pls let us next season or in the future to be able to switch our emerald skins for others that were in the same tier, for example, if i get emerald 2 this season and get the riot shield, then I can swap it with any other emerald 2 weapon that was in previous seasons for example the famas, cause I main the famas and I don't need the riot shield, and if I have an emerald 1 then I can swap it with every other emerald 1 skin and same thing with 3, this way u give players a chance to get an emerald skin for their fav weapon and not to mention that we probably gonna run out of emerald skins in the far future so maybe introduce like an emerald shop where u get emerald tokens in world tour and u can go to the emerald shop and pic whatever emerald gun skin u want

-Give Revolver 5% more hip fire accuracy and fire rate. (Very small change but Revolver doesn't need more damage or range)
-Make Glitch and Healing canister explode on impact when thrown at any distance (tired of them not, just cause I threw it at my feet or a wall too close)
-Nerf Winch Range by 2 meters
-Nerf Demat recharge speed by 5 seconds
-Buff turret to do a full 360 with faster turn speed
-Update all the videos in the equipment menu to show up to date usage of gadgets and specializations
-add better visualization for sniper glare and zipline placement (when looking at those things from below, there are stadium lights and bright blue skies that make them very hard to see)

BUT even with all those complaints, this game is still so extremely fun, best fps game I ever played.

can you make a channel for anticheat suggestions where only you guys can see our comments? I don't want to give people ideas with suggestions or give away potential methods and work arounds and I'm not sure it will make it through support

also an idea - while watching huuge's stream zed was standing in front of the character hologram on the map that had huuge up. he blocked the hologram except for the name, making it look like huuge was throwing rocks. if you have the frame budget for it, it would be cool to have a giant clone of whoever was to be on the hologram throwing rocks for the event.

regarding gun balance, I think with things like the 93r and db you need more exponential damage falloff. guns outrange others they shouldn't when compared to their real life counterparts. each weapon should have its own minigame based on its use that rewards mastery

Increased the vertical component of the secondary attack’s rotation clamping from 40 degrees to 90 degrees, meaning the Sword will be less constrained when aiming up or down during a lunge attack - this is more or less the Exact change I wanted if the devs weren't gonna remove the clamp and by all that is holy THANK YOU devs I can now be at peace for a bit. Actually now that I read more of the Patch notes why tf is SledgeHammer getting a buff in damage tf, am I missing something about sledge or was it weak?

riot shield needs a nerf, either the animations or something are broken cause even when theyre swinging the player is borderline impossible to hit when attacking from the front, and when theyre attacking someone and youre trying to shoot them from the back, none of the bullets connect either, its just such a cheap and skilless weapon that really needs a rework, a hard nerf, or best solution of all just a delete

Hi Embark devs, very thanks for the new update and the improvements for game quality

In the future, could you work in an option to hide enemy cards and names? I don't have any problem fighting with a ruby team, but it will be good for reducing the nervousness to beat them. Also would be cool to choose what random skins want to see in the weapons list, like diamond ARN, Emerald ARN, Ospuze sponsor skin... I don't wanna use the first and last mastered cammo.
Finally, could you work in a new game mode? I love every mode, but I miss bank it and I don't play terminal attack, so I was thinking in a new mode when you respawn with random weapons and gadgets. Not a LTM, this would be great for fun and maybe will secure every player use more weapons than they still dominate

Season 7 was supposed to make the game more optimized but I’ve been stuttering,freezing mid fight and my FPS is lower than before.

I used to get 70-80fps with HIGH settings

As much as the april fool's thing was funny, you should actually pick out/offer to experienced players the ability to queue with beginners as a solo. Make it even easier for us who have no lifes playing the game help new constestants reach the finals!

I revised my PIKE GUN suggestion;

  • Increase body damage by 5+
  • Increase fire rate by 0.3 seconds
  • Reduce reload when fully out of ammo by 0.5 seconds
  • Decrease fall off from maximum distance to 50 meters
  • Increase projectile size by 0.09 mm
  • Make other rifle scopes available for Pike

Embark you guys just gave the sledgehammer a damage buff, give some damage buffs to the spear as well, this thing is not the worst but still bad compared to the hammer and what was that small change you made to it in 7.6, that was a nerf rather than an buff because you can't hit anyone that is slightly outside your FOV anymore and also Embark what about the spin attacks hit registration, it's better now but with objects in its range, it doesn't register

Hi Embark,

I have a suggestion that could improve the gameplay experience for many players.
Could you add a keybind that allows us to walk while holding it down, similar to the “walk” key in CS:GO?

This feature would be especially useful for players like me who prefer using auto-sprint. Having the option to hold a key to temporarily walk would make movement more precise in certain situations, such as sneaking, peeking around corners, or moving quietly.

I also suggest replacing the current “toggle sprint” keybind with a “hold to walk” keybind, or at least making it an optional setting. This would give players more flexibility and control over their movement style.

KS23 NEEDS HEADSHOTS
Ks23 was the guns that suffered the most from the removal of the ability to by pass manual action animations on patch 5.8, before that patch, the gun was not the best, but, it was viable. But now, even after the multiple ks23 buffs, the gun stills struggles in almost every situation.

The 5.8 change made it so all of the skill ceiling of the gun was gone, before, you were able to use QM between shots and combo it with winch(unlike model, every time you used QM with ks you lose fire rate, making it a high risk/high reward strat), allowing it to have a insane burst potential if you were good with it.

But now there is nothing. The dmg, mag, and ttk of the gun is mediocre compared to the rest of heavy arsenal, it feel clunky when using with every spec that is not C&S because of the 5.8 changes, and the destruction capabilities doesn't aliviate this issues.

So i propose this:

-Reduce the base dmg from 100 to 90 (The TTK and STK against every class stays the same) but give it a 1.5x headshot multiplier (135 dmg per headshot)

Most of this change is focused on bringing back the skill ceiling the gun lost after 5.8 patch without making it overpowered (I want Ks to be viable, not broken). This change would increase the effectiveness of ks close range while keeping the same TTk for long range fights.

-Increase the Damage Drop off Modifier from ~70% to ~78%

I still want to keep the 70 dmg per shot at longer ranges, long range shots are one of the most rewarding parts of Ks and now with headshots (105 dmg at long ranges) added to the equation it gives another layer of complexity that rewards good ks players.

-(Optional) increase mag size from 6 to 7

reducing the base dmg from 100 to 90 hurts the (already low) dmg per mag, going from 600 to 540 (one of the lowest dmg per mag on the heavy arsenal), so giving one more bullet would aliviate this issue.

Hi everyone,
I’m stuck on the “Accept and Continue” screen.
The button stays greyed out even after scrolling through both the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
I’ve already tried restarting the game and launcher, running as admin, switching languages, verifying game files, deleting local config files, disabling Steam Cloud, changing networks, and even reinstalling, but nothing worked.

some games have it, but i was wonderin since ive been dealing with it for quite a few seasons now

can we add an option to select what monitor the game is on.

because the way my pc works, it sets it on a different monitor than i would like to play the game on, and when i move the game to the correct monitor for me it makes it the wrong resolution. worst part is any time i open the settings it resets it to the wrong resolution so i have to fix it manually.

i know this is a small ask in a sea of game feedback but its something i deal with every time i open the game so please consider me for a future patchnotes

Embark devs please, for some reason sword is apparently the most problematic weapon in the game somehow. Forget that double barrel can 2 shot everyone, sword is what needs the beating. If you can't swallow your pride, revert to 140 74 and trade multi hit for clamping, which is what every sword wants. Then for the love of God just keep the numbers changed, remove multi hit, and trade clamping for a sensitivity nerf while lunging. Having my screen locked in a FPS is the stupidest change I've seen a game ever implement. I want old sword back so I can play this weapon again. Revolver, FAMAS, akm, pike, repeater, D-eagles, SA12, and all light weapons outside of dagger completely annihilate sword at any competitive level. The fact that sword has remained in this state for 2 seasons is beyond ridiculous. Yes swords wanted the clamping in vertical gone, but you're ignoring the fact that we wanted all clamping gone. Your sword youtubers have quit, your sword casuals have quit, since mid season 6 I haven't ran into a single other sword that can super lunge. The only swords I see are just dashing and swinging primary fire. You've killed a whole niche community and continue to beat it. Let me ask you what swords are you hearing complain about the vertical clamping, cause I'd love to meet whatever sword mains are still playing. If we can't swallow our pride and revert the sword then here's my suggestion. Remove multi hit, trade clamping for a -30% sensitivity during lunge. Lunge 124dmg, Swing 86 DMG. CL-40 is still incredibly overpowered and the sword buff was not only completely unnecessary but also made the weapon completely overpowered.
Dash is also incredibly overpowered as it’s a get-out-of-jail free card to absolutely any melee weapon except another dash user which should not be the way it is.
I can’t speak for PC users but on console it is genuinely impossible to hit dash users consistently due to sensitivity.
And finally invisibility is incredibly inconsistent across all platforms… PLEASE make it consistent. It should absolutely not under any circumstances make fights rely entirely upon how much money your willing to spend on you gaming system. On ps4 it is GENUINELY invisible while on a newer console/PC it doesn’t even compare. This is by far my biggest gripe about the game in its current state.

Also add goblins to the finals.

ok so you guys made some revolutionary incredible maps, now pls shift your focus to more in game events like suspended structures; constructon side…

we want to see changes whithin the maps, at this point,this will reduce the repetitive feeling 100x more effective than another map. new maps are important too, but less maps with more variations are better than more maps with no variation.

inputideas:

  • events like the one in monaco where the church got destroyed, maybe the missing buildings could also get replaced with something different.

-Instead of a central Cashout, crates rain down across the map.
Effects:
5–10 low-value Cash Crates appear everywhere.
Teams must choose: hunt crates or defend the main Cashout?

  • A massive sinkhole opens in the center or edge of the map.
    Effects:
    Entire structures fall into the hole and are permanently lost.
    New underground combat zone opens up with close-quarters combat.
    Zip lines or ropes allow quick traversal in and out.

-A new high-rise or platform structure is built mid-match.
Offers new verticality and positions.
Players can destroy it again if they want to reclaim open space

-A large section of the map (a platform or building) begins to rotate.
Effects:
Altered sightlines and access points as the structure turns.
Players inside may be disoriented.
High risk / high reward combat zone due to unpredictability.

Even if it's not 40º,as long as any form of aim lock exists,sword will have the most idiotic handling. Since the rotation clamp is clearly the biggest thing that makes the weapon unusable, it should not exist in the game at all.You should just revert sword back to how it was in S1 and S2, when there was no multi-hit. Sword back then was a bit weak, but that’s okay. It’s better than receiving a dumb patch that destroys the weapon’s original identity, even if it’s a weaker weapon.
Because you thought sword was weak when there was no multi-hit,you patched multi-hit in.But because your obsession with keeping that led to the dumbest decision, even removing mechanics all other weapons have.
Every weapon, when in close range, can naturally move behind the enemy or slide behind and look back to hit. And dagger is a weapon specifically designed for that. So are you going to add aim lock to all weapons? Why, sword can’t look back like all do? Every weapon can naturally look back and attack. But sword alone is restricted from doing that? Why do you discriminate only against the sword by calling it an “exploit” when all melees can do it?
Wildly spinning the aim actually wasn’t used, It was used only in very rare cases dumb enemies were stupidly stacked in one spot.
The occasional turning of aim was used to maximize multi-hit.
If the problem is wild turning, then just remove multi-hit.
Even if someone spins wildly, they’d only hit one target. That solves the problem. Of course, dmg must also be reverted.
Why you have to ruin sword’s identity that’s been there since its release just to appease the nerf whiners? M1 spam on a 150 HP class is not good. Who’s the narrow-minded person who decided on a patch like this that ruins sword’s identity by thinking “melee should just be dumb M1 spam?
But Real strong weapons used by many are swept under the rug because they’re popular. Only niche weapons are made targets, and gaslit into looking OP, so you can nerf them and discriminate.Fair.

I don't have one bit of a chance against people who know how to use movement for example If I dash against another light that has dash and he dashes I AM NOT GONNA KILL HIM simple as is, not even that they can move a tad bit to the right or left and its still not enough for me to kill them I don't get it. I don't do enough damage to one shot or kill anyone fast enough compared to when they are shooting at me I have to use movement to stand a chance but that is still limited I thought the Vertical clamp that the devs reduced would make it a bit better but nope not at all.

Every fight I take is disadvantages because the ttk is so bad and I have to tie that in with movement somehow and that is still not ENOUGH like what? I use all my equipment to increase my chances and hell even that is still not enough. I play around my teammates 95% of the time cause that is how its supposed to be playing now and EVEN THAT is still not enough! Now communication does make it easier but everyone knows that just about nobody uses communication in this game idk why but it just is.

The reason there is a clamp I'm guessing is because to counter act the fidget spinning and hitting multiple people randomly I get it but barely anyone ACTUALLY used that, but instead of clamping can you not just remove or nerf multi hit I would rather stand a chance against 1 person than not stand a fair good chance. oh yeah not to mention I'm a LIGHT with 150hp their are so many way to kill me! oh he's moving around too much to get to me goo him, jump pad, high ground grapple away, dash away, turret, Demat, Charge and Slam, Wench, flamethrower, barricade, mines, rpg, Anti Grav Cube, my FAVOURITE LOCKBOLT which is literally worse than stun gun was in my opinion cause its easier to hit more hp when trying to kill it my path is obvious.

Hell even normal ass guns has better ttk than me from up close doing my combos even though I SHOULD have the advantage when up close, which I don't care about that my point is why nerf my weapon and playstyle when I'm the one that can get SHIT on far more easily than anyone else (except some other melee weapons that shalt not be named) Sword is genuinely the most frustrating weapon because of constant nerfs to it and how its played it used to be fun because I actually stood a chance in lobbies but not anymore even the dagger wasn't this frustrating to play. Sorry bout the rant I just felt like I had to and if you think I'm wrong with what I wrote try the Sword out yourself and really don't lie in what state it is in.

I'm so glad embark addressed the toggle sprint feature.
I hope they make it so that when toggled it works as if it is autosprint meaning u will continue to sprint even if ur momentum stops or if u jump without having to toggle sprint back on everytime. Whereas if u want to stop "autosprinting" u just press the toggle button.

Change this back, a team that hadn't made enough money all game shouldn't be allowed to team with first place to win. If 3rd and 4th both have underneath 10k, second place should be allowed to stall out that box to despawn it to prevent greifing from first place. All first place has to do is double during the last 30 seconds to make the 9 minutes before pointless to second place cause it's harder to win 3v6s when a team is purposely teaming to push you out.

I know it's a lot of work, but I'd really like to see an option to remove the branding from cosmetics. I love the overall design of the "Engimo hidden roaming" sponsor skin, but I don't actually like Engimo so I never use it.
I feel like a lot of skins would be better if you could remove the branding, with exceptions for things like the animated glasses from the season 6 bp.

Anyone else getting the slow shader compilation (10 minutes) every time the game starts up? I have an AMD gpu and I only get this issue on Windows.

On Linux it compiles shaders in about 3 minutes after gpu driver updates and it takes like 10 seconds after that.

KS23 NEEDS HEADSHOTS

Ks23 was the guns that suffered the most from the removal of the ability to by pass manual action animations on patch 5.8, before that patch, the gun was not the best, but, it was viable. But now, even after the multiple ks23 buffs, the gun stills struggles in almost every situation.

The 5.8 change made it so all of the skill ceiling of the gun was gone, before, you were able to use QM between shots and combo it with winch(unlike model, every time you used QM with ks you lose fire rate, making it a high risk/high reward strat), allowing it to have a insane burst potential if you were good with it.

But now there is nothing. The dmg, mag, and ttk of the gun is mediocre compared to the rest of heavy arsenal, it feel clunky when using with every spec that is not C&S because of the 5.8 changes, and the destruction capabilities doesn't aliviate this issues.

So i propose this:

-Reduce the base dmg from 100 to 90 (The TTK and STK against every class stays the same) but give it a 1.5x headshot multiplier (135 dmg per headshot)

Most of this change is focused on bringing back the skill ceiling the gun lost after 5.8 patch without making it overpowered (I want Ks to be viable, not broken).
 -This change would increase the effectiveness of ks close range while keeping the same TTk for long range fights.

-Increase the Damage Drop off Modifier from ~70% to ~78%

I still want to keep the 70 dmg per shot at longer ranges, long range shots are one of the most rewarding parts of Ks and now with headshots (105 dmg at long ranges) added to the equation it gives another layer of                     complexity that rewards good ks players.

-(Optional) increase mag size from 6 to 7

reducing the base dmg from 100 to 90 hurts the (already low) dmg per mag, going from 600 to 540 (one of the lowest dmg per mag on the heavy arsenal), so giving one more bullet would aliviate this issue.

This is true for all weapons… if you are dead your shot will not damage the enemy. This also matters for hitscan weapons due to how it’s possible to fire a shot after you are dead, but your client doesn’t yet know.

(Actually, I think CL-40 might be an exception to this in terms of the projectile remaining active (death before you fire the shot still nullifies it I think), so I do not think it is actually consistent. Not sure which route is better)

what I think the Cerberus and the Model need for a perfect tune.

Cerberus 12GA:

  • Increase pellet count by one, giving it's old pellet count back
  • Increase spread by ~5%, making the weapon very slightly more inaccurate
  • decrease pellet damage by 1 or 2 so it does slightly more damage

Model 1887:

  • Decrease Tactical reload by ~1 sec
  • Decrease Empty reload by ~1 sec
  • Decrease fire rate by ~5-10 rpm

this these changes, the shotguns shouldn't be busted, but still effective when it comes to eliminating heavy targets. currently as it stands the Cerberus 12GA and Model 1887 are still quite niche picks and are super limiting compared to FAMAS, FCAR, and Pike (the standard currently).

in this light, I would also appreciate to see a Terry buff in terms of a slightly better lock on system, 270° detection range, a slight rpm nerf, and a nudge of a shorter cooldown when destroyed.

Heal beam should also be better than the healing gadgets since it is a SPECIALIZATION and NOT A GADGET. either buff heal beam in terms of a longer heal time and shorter cooldown, or more raw heal power. I personally think that the healing gadgets are fine for the most part, but H+ infuser needs an RPM nerf and it's old heals back. being able to still instantly heal heavies and still being able to nullify damage with the H+ is ridiculous.

sorry for the rant, medium has always been a favorite class of mine before S7 because of the heals. but since the release of S7, medium has been the ugly swan of the architype family. I would love to see this class be good again.

I experienced another example of why the Riotshield DPS was increased too much since that patch.
I just finished a game where I was originally on Hammer, after 1st cash (we lost) I swapped to Flamer to lock down an indoor cashbox more readily (we get 2nd). After orange tries to hold box to win on time (I manage to kill 2 to only just make plug) the medium swaps off of revolver as a rageswap and onto Riotshield..? Like, despite flamethrower being its counter, the DPS of new Riot is so high that they plan to just kamikaze and win by sacking me (was much more experienced than my randoms). Their movement on Riot was weak at that. This wasn't a back pocket pick, that was just desperate. Buffing Riotshield's DPS by 10 percent has made it much more problematic than I think the devs realise. They have created a rageswap. That is not healthy for the game. Riotshield still needs to be fixed on a fundamental level, really.

Even if it's not 40º,as long as any form of aim lock exists,sword will have the most idiotic handling. Since the rotation clamp is clearly the biggest thing that makes the weapon unusable, it should not exist in the game at all.You should just revert sword back to how it was in S1 and S2, when there was no multi-hit. Sword back then was a bit weak, but that’s okay. It’s better than receiving a dumb patch that destroys the weapon’s original identity, even if it’s a weaker weapon.
Because you thought sword was weak when there was no multi-hit,you patched multi-hit in.But because your obsession with keeping that led to the dumbest decision, even removing mechanics all other weapons have.
Every weapon, when in close range, can naturally move behind the enemy or slide behind and look back to hit. And dagger is a weapon specifically designed for that. So are you going to add aim lock to all weapons? Why, sword can’t look back like all do? Every weapon can naturally look back and attack. But sword alone is restricted from doing that? Why do you discriminate only against the sword by calling it an “exploit” when all melees can do it?
Wildly spinning the aim actually wasn’t used, It was used only in very rare cases dumb enemies were stupidly stacked in one spot.
The occasional turning of aim was used to maximize multi-hit.
If the problem is wild turning, then just remove multi-hit.
Even if someone spins wildly, they’d only hit one target. That solves the problem. Of course, dmg must also be reverted.
Why you have to ruin sword’s identity that’s been there since its release just to appease the nerf whiners? M1 spam on a 150 HP class is not good. Who’s the narrow-minded person who decided on a patch like this that ruins sword’s identity by thinking “melee should just be dumb M1 spam?
But Real strong weapons used by many are swept under the rug because they’re popular. Only niche weapons are made targets, and gaslit into looking OP, so you can nerf them and discriminate.Fair.

Low Gravity is the worst Game Event, because it only benefits Light Class with Grapple Hook.
It is bad for Other Light Architypes because they get stuck in air for too long.
It is bad for all Melee Architypes because they can no longer catch up to the enemy who is jumping.
It is bad for all Explosive Architypes because projectile physics is completely different.
It is bad for Medium because you can't aproach with Jump Pad or Zip-Line, since you turn into a flying target practice.

Please add diminishing multihit and remove the angle lock, this is the best of both worlds, allows for freedom of movement without multihit being too punishing against grouped targets,

fix it smoke grenade.. like u can see better from outside in to the smoke than inside out of the smoke..... way easier to detect people who stan in the smoke if ur standing outside than is ur inside it then ur blind and i think u can boost the size of it to.. popping 3 smoke to make it smoky enough so people cant see in a short range... nah boost smoke by SIZE and smoke strenght and still keep 3 CD cus its bersly useable.. and boost termasl vision so it can be easier to turn off and on cuz if u accidental press it is a heavy CD on it and that is pure stpid... Embark devs please, for some reason sword is apparently the most problematic weapon in the game somehow. Forget that double barrel can 2 shot everyone, sword is what needs the beating. If you can't swallow your pride, revert to 140 74 and trade multi hit for clamping, which is what every sword wants. Then for the love of God just keep the numbers changed, remove multi hit, and trade clamping for a sensitivity nerf while lunging. Having my screen locked in a FPS is the stupidest change I've seen a game ever implement. I want old sword back so I can play this weapon again. Revolver, FAMAS, akm, pike, repeater, D-eagles, SA12, and all light weapons outside of dagger completely annihilate sword at any competitive level. The fact that sword has remained in this state for 2 seasons is beyond ridiculous. Yes swords wanted the clamping in vertical gone, but you're ignoring the fact that we wanted all clamping gone. Your sword youtubers have quit, your sword casuals have quit, since mid season 6 I haven't ran into a single other sword that can super lunge. The only swords I see are just dashing and swinging primary fire. You've killed a whole niche community and continue to beat it. Let me ask you what swords are you hearing complain about the vertical clamping, cause I'd love to meet whatever sword mains are still playing. If we can't swallow our pride and revert the sword then here's my suggestion. Remove multi hit, trade clamping for a -30% sensitivity during lunge. Lunge 124dmg, Swing 86 DMG. We don’t need multihit for sword to be a fun and unique weapon. What we do need for sword to be a fun and unique weapons is to remove the clamp entirely! Changing the vertical clamp was good, but didn’t fix most of the issues sword players have. I know I’ve been complaining about this for so long but it’s because this is my favorite weapon in one of my favorite games and I don’t want to see it stuck as something that it’s players don’t want.

Ability concept: Rubble Raiser

This is an idea that sort of encompasses a little of everything heavy is designed to do, something between charge and slam, winch claw, and mesh shield.

Upon ability activation, heavy enters a half second “wind-up” animation where he gets ready to rush forward. On completion, heavy lunges up to 5 meters in the direction of his crosshair, with the intent of colliding with either structure or a player.

Upon colliding with a breakable structure, heavy will rip a chunk of the wall out, bracing it as a shield. For up to ten seconds, heavy will hold it in front of him as a 500 HP barricade, blocking enemy fire from their knees to their neck. Heavy can move and aim the shield about as if he was holding up a mesh shield during this time, though their movespeed is notably reduced. If the specialization input is pressed at all during this time, heavy will throw the rubble forwards, dealing 100 damage and high structural damage to whatever it hits. The rubble has weight similar to the grav cube, meaning you can’t throw it very far.

Upon hitting an enemy, heavy will lift and immediately throw the enemy the same way they would a rubble chunk, with the same mass. Upon collision with anything, that enemy takes 100 damage. If they hit another enemy player, both take 100 damage. If they hit a breakable surface, they will break through it, taking the damage then. Enemies cannot break through more than one structure per throw. Enemies caught by the throw cannot shoot while heavy is holding them, or until they land.

This specializations short range and requirement to connect will give it decent skill requirement, but high skill expression, and significant versatility in lots of scenarios.

KS23 NEEDS HEADSHOTS

Ks23 was the guns that suffered the most from the removal of the ability to by pass manual action animations on patch 5.8, before that patch, the gun was not the best, but, it was viable. But now, even after the multiple ks23 buffs, the gun stills struggles in almost every situation.

The 5.8 change made it so all of the skill ceiling of the gun was gone, before, you were able to use QM between shots and combo it with winch(unlike model, every time you used QM with ks you lose fire rate, making it a high risk/high reward strat), allowing it to have a insane burst potential if you were good with it.

But now there is nothing. The dmg, mag, and ttk of the gun is mediocre compared to the rest of heavy arsenal, it feel clunky when using with every spec that is not C&S because of the 5.8 changes, and the destruction capabilities doesn't aliviate this issues.

So i propose this:

-Reduce the base dmg from 100 to 90 (The TTK and STK against every class stays the same) but give it a 1.5x headshot multiplier (135 dmg per headshot)

Most of this change is focused on bringing back the skill ceiling the gun lost after 5.8 patch without making it overpowered (I want Ks to be viable, not broken).
 -This change would increase the effectiveness of ks close range while keeping the same TTk for long range fights.

-Increase the Damage Drop off Modifier from ~70% to ~78%

I still want to keep the 70 dmg per shot at longer ranges, long range shots are one of the most rewarding parts of Ks and now with headshots (105 dmg at long ranges) added to the equation it gives another layer of complexity that rewards good ks players.

-(Optional) increase mag size from 6 to 7

reducing the base dmg from 100 to 90 hurts the (already low) dmg per mag, going from 600 to 540 (one of the lowest dmg per mag on the heavy arsenal), so giving one more bullet would aliviate this issue.

Motion sensor range is way too big and it hits through walls. The sound is not helpful for locating it at all, and the light it does emit is not bright enough to be seen against all the visual clutter in the game. Losing ranked matches because of this.

Give more counter ability for fighting against specific builds. And just make it that people can actually use reserves in all game modes. Don't make the ranked games restricted to the only kit you have with no reserves.

Many weapons are garbage or op because we can't change our equipment. Let us do that.

I don’t think it should be possible to play 3 heavies in one team in cashout, it’s simply too op. They have so much hp it’s Even hard to kill one, as it should be because they Are tanks. But when there’s 3 of them? It becomes ridicolus. Most teams i end up playing against in world tour finale Are contain at least 2-3 heavies, because they oblidirate anyone who comes Even near. I think that the flamethrower, winch claw, and dome shield is also too op, but only in the case of multible heavies in a 3 player team. I want to be able to play the class i want to and still have a chance, but it isn’t realistic to play anything other than heavy when all other teams Are pure heavy teams. I know it may be problematic to make it so that you can only play 1 heavy in a game, but then at least nerf them.

Yo I got an Idea for the sword it might seem busted but really it most likely wont be if it implemented. Allow the Sword to have a passive of damage reduction of about 20-40% depending on different elements in the game rather than flat out damage reduction that way it would be easier to play for new players and veterans. As a Sword player I often die way too quickly before I can even do anything (I have played the Sword since S1) I have experience with the sword and I often see even newer players just flat out reject the sword because they cant do a damn thing with the weapon with how often and easy it is to get killed. I propose this because if the Dev plan on keeping the Clamp then I think it is only fair to compensate it for a damage reduction. Although Every Sword player including myself would just prefer to have the clamp removed or if not that lower our sensitivity while in lunge animation by about -20 to -35%.

Thing is even when the Sword was in a very good spot the chance of finding a sword player in your lobbies were pretty slim. Peoples ego just hurt when getting gutted by melee players which honestly I can relate but I also respect them for playing a melee in a shooter so it doesn't mean you should gut the sword to where it feels like shit to play. Hell most people dont even try melee weapons because they know they'll have to try even harder to secure kill that would be easier with other weapon. There just isnt really any point to the Sword anymore because the movement feel sluggish and shit and ttk to everyone else is also really bad.

Having the ability to edit your gun viewmodel would be great. When playing CS I always use a doom-style viewmodel with the gun in the middle of the screen like the glock in modern warfare 2019. Seeing that in the finals would make the expirience a little more satisfying for people coming from competitive games where that's an option

i started the game and had a random reconnect button, i hadnt even played a game.

i clicked reconnect and got sent into a random ranked tournament on round 2. i was very confused but didnt leave since i didnt want to get suspended. we lost the round and i got suspended for 10 minutes.

being suspended for no reason has happened a lot so thats something that has to be fixed.
the other stuff that happened ive never ever encountered or heard of.

The Finals may benefit from new player queues, to encourage less players quitting the game due to unbalanced matchmaking. Take notes from how Hunt: Showdown handles it's Bloodline matchmkaing for early levels. Having your MM system be loose enough to where far experienced players get matched with new players can be detrimental for those experienced players, and incredibly frustrating for new players matched against those with hundreds, if not thousands of hours. Hell, implement a Sherpa system, where vets can opt in to take that role. There's virtually nothing a tutorial can do to match experience with real people can do far better.

Little note I want to leave on here. I think it's funny how The Finals got a pretty nice spotlight with Moist and DrDisrespect the last couple of days but couldn't have much of a bump in player count. Bit ironic with how much glazing this game got from them.
This game is great, no doubt about this, but what's the problem?

Imo this comes down to the 1 and same problem: the sweats, cheaters and the skill gap that was formed over the years. This bs ruins the game ngl.
Embark needs to reinforce it's casual aspect. (Btw before writting this I got in a TDM to play for fun and chill for a bit and I got matched against rubies -- how can you possibly enjoy the game when there is constant sweats?).

This might sound bad, but I think this is the right move to do: The Finals need to take inspiration from For night and Wah frame. We need more chill options to play, instead of perma sweating in every mode. That wouldn't be too far stretched since this game is kind of set in the same setting as Ready Player One.
Cosmestics wise this is a great game to do it too.
Please Embark try developping the social aspect of the game.

  • Dojo for clubs (more utility with MB, cosmestics for homebase) add 1v1 rooms, add parkour in it etc...
  • More community servers -- an infection gamemode would go so hard
  • Forge mode to create maps and modes -- a props climbing gamemode could be fun here and doable
  • An interesting pve mode -- I understand destruction is hard with bots, but maybe do a zombie gamemode with no destruction or something
  • Why not some lore campaign/cutscenes with custom character?

I've always kind of perceived this game as an rpg-fps, with how u can create ur character and be unique in ur playstyle, that's why I think it can be further be built like an rpg. I understand, those suggestions might drop a little off of the core of the game, but it will surely bring interest and attention to it. Could be great for the player retention.

There's a couple of gadgets (especially the explosive/destructive ones) that I think are weak/uninteresting and need a bit of tuning/reworks to be a bit more viable:

Frag Grenade works great as a form of indirect damage and for chipping away at player's health or finishing them off, but other gadgets offer so much more value and utility by comparison (ex. C4 can function as a grenade and offers great destruction and stalling capabilities).

A similar problem is found with explosive mines - the damage on them is nice and they're okay for deterring players from chasing or acting as an early warning when defending, but again, other gadgets offer both greater utility and/or even allow you to go straight around mines (ex. Demat).

Lastly, breaching drill suffers from the same issue due to Demat and other destructive gadgets being more useful for entry tools due to how often they can be used. The flash on detonation is nice, at least.

I think all of the above gadgets could use a buff in their destructive capabilities - frag grenades and mines would be great as secondary options for destroying walls, floors, and ceilings. It would also be nice if breaching drill could create larger holes and/or perhaps have a faster recharge time/have multiple charges

Given the prevalence of goo grenade right now, I think it might be a good idea also to consider buffing the above gadgets against them to act as a secondary counter. I feel that it would open up the strategic depth around the interplay between stalling tools like goo and breaching explosives.

Zombie event, make them fast as the game is fast paced. Set the time of day to night always, and try to even darken maps a bit if you can. The less light, the better. Possibly around halloween. I'll edit the post when i think of specifics, but essentially what you really want to do is bump that heart rate of the player as they are getting rushed by zombies

Please revert sword's angle lock and super dash change. Genuinely removes any kind of ability to track players. If they even slightly move to the side, you lose the fight. Simple as that.

the model reload IS bugged and has never been fixed. if you reload with anything above 0 ammo, the first animation of putting a shell in does not register. You HAVE to empty the clip for the animation to be correct. Please fix this because its super annoying thinking you have ammo because it shows you puttingf a shell in but really it doesnt do anything until the second animation of the reload. SO if i reload with one bullet in my gun and the first animation puts one shell back into the shotgun, it still says i have one bullet. i think this is one of the most annoying things about this weapon and a simple fix would make things feel so much better

Please expand the very lackluster AI announcers in the game, as well as Scotty and June.

Sure people spread hate around because your dialogues are AI-generated, but that's not the actual reason why they hate it. It's basically like a college kid pulling an overnight to submit a shoddy report that was supposed to be done 3 months ago. The AI voiceover is just that bad.

The solution? Put more effort into the lines themselves. Have you seen actual sports event? They don't just crack one-liners and puns and reports what's happening on the match, they actually go into the tactics the teams are using. Like stealing cashout box from losing team and not depositing to avoid overtime, or even double filling the 1st cashout station to gain significant advantage to play less aggressive in later rounds. For the last 8 seasons (yes, I'm counting the OB as a season too) the announcers have been the same AI slop. Rather, it only got worse with the new in-game announcer with his 100th "It's not X it's Y" joke as if it was funny the first time.

Either use real voice actors, or improve the AI voice actors. Laziness with the AI is why it gets so much flak, and your usage is not any better.

CL-40 is still incredibly strong and the sword buff was not only completely unnecessary but also made the weapon completely overpowered.

I can’t speak for PC users but on console it is genuinely impossible to hit dash users consistently due to sensitivity.

There is definitely a wicked turret meta imo, APS turret not being countered by glitch grenade is definitely very ridiculous. One turret on its own is pretty bad but the more you stack them the more ridiculous they get.

Spear is also pretty oppressive which is a very unpopular opinion so it’s likely I’m just bad against it.

I’ve already talked about it but sword is actually ridiculous in its current state and desperately needs a nerf. Its combo with evasive dash is actually crazy especially against console players who literally can’t move their camera fast enough.

This is a huge one for me personally as a mainly melee user, a light with evasive dash COMPLETELY counters every single melee in the ENTIRE game shit is actually ridiculous. The only way to fight a dash light with a melee weapon is to use evasive dash as well which should not be the way it is. I’m not saying to nerf it into the ground but please add some kind of counter/option for melee users against dash lights

And finally invisibility is incredibly inconsistent across all platforms… PLEASE make it consistent. It should absolutely not under any circumstances make fights rely entirely upon how much money your willing to spend on you gaming system. On ps4 it is GENUINELY invisible while on a newer console/PC it doesn’t even compare. This is by far my biggest gripe about the game in its current state.

Cosmetics wise I would love to see more animations for the dual blades, seeing as currently they have literally none. I think adding a juggling inspect animation that lasts as long as you hold the button would make for a very nice addition.

Also add goblins to the finals.

Absolutely not should flamethrower do that. All it would do is breed inconsistent and messy fights. If you are not already running Goo Gun on Flamer you are doing it wrong anyway. And at that, the only ones trying to push this suggestion are those that obviously aren't. Flamethrower already has bonkers utility as is, but adding in a jank effect would just make it frustrating to use as well as play around. From someone who actually understands flamethrower, some thing that could be changed about it is increasing the projectile speed slightly, as a qol fix, as current flames are slow compared to flamethrowers in other games.

Even if it's not 40º,as long as any form of aim lock exists,sword will have the most idiotic handling. Since the rotation clamp is clearly the biggest thing that makes the weapon unusable, it should not exist in the game at all.You should just revert sword back to how it was in S1 and S2, when there was no multi-hit. Sword back then was a bit weak, but that’s okay. It’s better than receiving a dumb patch that destroys the weapon’s original identity, even if it’s a weaker weapon.
Because you thought sword was weak when there was no multi-hit,you patched multi-hit in.But because your obsession with keeping that led to the dumbest decision, even removing mechanics all other weapons have.
Every weapon, when in close range, can naturally move behind the enemy or slide behind and look back to hit. And dagger is a weapon specifically designed for that. So are you going to add aim lock to all weapons? Why, sword can’t look back like all do? Every weapon can naturally look back and attack. But sword alone is restricted from doing that? Why do you discriminate only against the sword by calling it an “exploit” when all melees can do it?
Wildly spinning the aim actually wasn’t used, It was used only in very rare cases dumb enemies were stupidly stacked in one spot.
The occasional turning of aim was used to maximize multi-hit.
If the problem is wild turning, then just remove multi-hit.
Even if someone spins wildly, they’d only hit one target. That solves the problem. Of course, dmg must also be reverted.
Why you have to ruin sword’s identity that’s been there since its release just to appease the nerf whiners? M1 spam on a 150 HP class is not good. Who’s the narrow-minded person who decided on a patch like this that ruins sword’s identity by thinking “melee should just be dumb M1 spam?

Buff to flamethrower: exponential damage when on fire and receiving damage from flamethrower.

This will force Heavy to close distance and use environment to their advantage (even though most maps are now only made for long-distance fights).

Increase its range back to 10 meters: same range as open beta, it’s pretty much the only thing it hasn’t gotten back. Increase overall DPS by 10: this will still leave it doing much less damage than most weapons, but at least it will be killing a Medium faster than 3 seconds.

This will also force a change in strategy with other weapons for different classes by making Heavy with flame oppressive (going in close range to get a kill against flamethrower and getting it .. is kinda dumb). Also will make the flamethrower a fun weapon to play with for new players and old too.

Idk how people in the community feels towards flamethrower so plz tell me if anyone thinks these are dumbs suggestions.

For Embark : If those two "buffs" are to strong then add only one out of the two suggestions.

Change this back, a team that hadn't made enough money all game shouldn't be allowed to team with first place to win. If 3rd and 4th both have underneath 10k, second place should be allowed to stall out that box to despawn it to prevent greifing from first place.

Or

Make it so cashouts don't despawn like vault currently do so we can have 2 cashouts going during overtime instead of first place teaming to push out second place, second place and third place can own the last cashouts and push first place out if first place didn't have a big enough lead.

Little note I want to leave on here. I think it's funny how The Finals got a pretty nice spotlight with Moist and DrDisrespect the last couple of days but couldn't have much of a bump in player count. Bit ironic with how much glazing this game got from them.
This game is great, no doubt about this, but what's the problem?

Imo this comes down to the 1 and same problem: the sweats, cheaters and the skill gap that was formed over the years. This bs ruins the game ngl.
Embark needs to reinforce it's casual aspect. (Btw before writting this I got in a TDM to play for fun and chill for a bit and I got matched against rubies -- how can you possibly enjoy the game when there is constant sweats?).

This might sound bad, but I think this is the right move to do: The Finals need to take inspiration from For night and Wah frame. We need more chill options to play, instead of perma sweating in every mode. That wouldn't be too far stretched since this game is kind of set in the same setting as Ready Player One.
Cosmestics wise this is a great game to do it too.
Please Embark try developping the social aspect of the game.

  • Dojo for clubs (more utility with MB, cosmestics for homebase) add 1v1 rooms, add parkour in it etc...
  • More community servers -- an infection gamemode would go so hard
  • Forge mode to create maps and modes -- a props climbing gamemode could be fun here and doable
  • An interesting pve mode -- I understand destruction is hard with bots, but maybe do a zombie gamemode with no destruction or something
  • Why not some lore campaign/cutscenes with custom character?

I've always kind of perceived this game as an rpg-fps, with how u can create ur character and be unique in ur playstyle, that's why I think it can be further be built like an rpg. I understand, those suggestions might drop a little off of the core of the game, but it will surely bring interest and attention to it. Could be great for the player retention.

Head2head is a great new game mode. Really teaches the importance of teamwork and staying together. Also great that there is a 5-10min game mode. Combined with play again it’s a great way to find a team worthy of more difficult game modes like world tour on the fly.

Also, once “broken” guns like the cl40 and sword don’t seem nearly as strong. Another highlight that bringing the right equipment to the fight puts you in a dominant position, as it should, and that much of the nerf talk is about people refusing to play the game and not balance

The SBMM of this game is at the top of the worst. Working only one way, putting you against rubies, while you play with people who just launched the game. Why can the game find the sweatiest people from the top of the game but can't put the same teammates for me? Riot Shield has been the bane of my existence Recently and for many other players too, Heavy and Light players included
i think that one nerf the Riot Shield should be Ultimatively given a Stamina Meter/Bar for its block, Cause it wont be too fair for a riot shield to sit in a corner and block almost Everything the user is being shot with
How i personally think it should Work is that, Once the meter/bar depletes, stun the user leaving them Almost to Defenseless in most ways possible just so people playing riot shield should think about how hard They can get punished if they sit too long blocking.

PLEASE add some sort of system that detects server errors from user errors and abandoning matches. I have NEVER left a match intentionally, sometimes randomly the game will still crash while rare it seems that your system still counts it against you whether its a game crash, server error, or some other connectivity issue non player side. This has caused me to be suspended while very few and far between I am now suspended for 2 hours for no fault of my own. It is extremely frustrating as the player time is limited. There are other games that have similar features and do not punish the player for these. Please look into this.

KS23 NEEDS HEADSHOTS

Ks23 was the guns that suffered the most from the removal of the ability to by pass manual action animations on patch 5.8, before that patch, the gun was not the best, but, it was viable. But now, even after the multiple ks23 buffs, the gun stills struggles in almost every situation.

The 5.8 change made it so all of the skill ceiling of the gun was gone, before, you were able to use QM between shots and combo it with winch(unlike model, every time you used QM with ks you lose fire rate, making it a high risk/high reward strat), allowing it to have a insane burst potential if you were good with it.

But now there is nothing. The dmg, mag, and ttk of the gun is mediocre compared to the rest of heavy arsenal, it feel clunky when using with every spec that is not C&S because of the 5.8 changes, and the destruction capabilities doesn't aliviate this issues.

So i propose this:

⌁ Reduce the base dmg from 100 to 90 (The TTK and STK against every class stays the same) but give it a 1.5x headshot multiplier (135 dmg per headshot)

Most of this change is focused on bringing back the skill ceiling the gun lost after 5.8 patch without making it overpowered (I want Ks to be viable, not broken). This change would also increase the effectiveness of Ks close range while keeping the same ttk for long range fights.

⌁ Increase the Damage Drop off Modifier from ~70% to ~78%

I still want to keep the 70 dmg per shot at longer ranges, long range shots are one of the most rewarding parts of Ks and now with headshots (105 dmg at long ranges) added to the equation it gives another layer of complexity that rewards good ks players.

⌁ (Optional) increase mag size from 6 to 7

reducing the base dmg from 100 to 90 hurts the (already low) dmg per mag, going from 600 to 540 (one of the lowest dmg per mag on the heavy arsenal), so giving one more bullet would aliviate this issue.

Is it possible to add a strict solo queue option for ranked (= everyone in the game is not in a group), even if it will take longer time to find a game, I think it's a good option to add.
Playing against (or with) duo/trio is not fair, especially if one of the duo members has a way higher/lower mmr than the other 2 teammates (+ the communications are usually better if u are with someone u know).

Embark are useless. Many of us are quitting the game because of the stupid decisions they make. It's getting worse, and they still haven't removed the Cl-40 from the game. They're truly a group of useless incompetents who don't want to see the game flourish. Many new players stop playing when they find themselves with the Cl-40 and other broken weapons.

riot shield is a weapon that has very strong counters, but without those counters in play is unduly effective. The 7.6 buffs make it an extremly strong choice for fragging, coupled with the innate blocking makes it very difficult to deal with without prior strategization and item picks. Countering it feels bad on both sides, as the riot shield player gets essentially completely shut down, and the countering players are forced to run items or weapons they don't want to use simply to be able to play the game. While riot shield did need some changes, the extensive buffs to both range and "fire rate" pushed it from a weapon that required strategy and coordination to use, but rewarded it, to a weapon where you can run headfirst at the enemy and if they don't have any AoE or melee weapons you essentially win. Riot shield should be a weapon with relatively high time to kill comparatively, but makes up for that with the survivability granted by the shield. I think that keeping the range buffs, while decreasing the speed of the swing back to pre 7.6 levels, will make it a bit less difficult to deal with. Additionally, buffing damaging grenades like frag, gas, and pyro that don't see much use in the current meta will result in more players having the counters available.

ive been thinking and honestly no matter how much nerfing we do to defib its still 10x better than regular reviving so i propose an actual rework and its pretty simple:

when you defib someone you give your hp that would equate to half of the teammates health bar

pros:
-stops annoying triple medium teams from defib chaining and running for a full minute and makes teamfights shorter
-punishes players for trying to defib in the open while being shot at/ noobs defibbing while under half get punished by being killed but still defibbing the target for the remaining health the defib user had remaining
-makes it easier to defib as a team with 2 alive and gives more use to healing gadgets so there also isnt a ton of heal spam in the middle of a fight
-would give space for other gadgets in loadouts
-actually makes you question if you would rather lose alot of health defibbing a heavy or a little health for light

Main suggestions:

  • Slightly larger projectile

  • Slightly faster projectile

  • 5-10 damage from the projectile directly impacting an enemy

  • Impact detonation on Mesh/Dome Shield

  • Minimum damage raised to 32-35 in exchange for the AoE going back to 3.75m

Secondary suggestions:

  • Projectile breaks all props and terrain decoration. For example: ceiling tiles, bamboo, shutters, pots, chairs, etc.

  • Aiming shows the initial arc of the projectile

  • Remove projectile collision from objects like small rocks/pebbles and otherwise insignificant objects.

  • Have the projectile treat all stairs more like a ramp instead of individual steps.

Ability concept: Rubble Raiser

This is an idea that sort of encompasses a little of everything heavy is designed to do, something between charge and slam, winch claw, and mesh shield.

Upon ability activation, heavy enters a half second “wind-up” animation where he gets ready to rush forward. On completion, heavy lunges up to 5 meters in the direction of his crosshair, with the intent of colliding with either structure or a player.

Upon colliding with a breakable structure, heavy will rip a chunk of the wall out, bracing it as a shield. For up to ten seconds, heavy will hold it in front of him as a 500 HP barricade, blocking enemy fire from their knees to their neck. Heavy can move and aim the shield about as if he was holding up a mesh shield during this time, though their movespeed is notably reduced. If the specialization input is pressed at all during this time, heavy will throw the rubble forwards, dealing 100 damage and high structural damage to whatever it hits. The rubble has weight similar to the grav cube, meaning you can’t throw it very far.

Upon hitting an enemy, heavy will lift and immediately throw the enemy the same way they would a rubble chunk, with the same mass. Upon collision with anything, that enemy takes 100 damage. If they hit another enemy player, both take 100 damage. If they hit a breakable surface, they will break through it, taking the damage then. Enemies cannot break through more than one structure per throw. Enemies caught by the throw cannot shoot while heavy is holding them, or until they land.

This specializations short range and requirement to connect will give it decent skill requirement, but high skill expression, and significant versatility in lots of scenarios.

So with this new patch, I completely did a full wipe to my windows pc, I flush the DNS and made lots of changes to the graphic settings and when I enter the game, I’m at 120 fps but eventually it’ll go down from 70 fps to 20 fps and I can’t figure out why. I have no idea why it doing this, but the latest patch for PC players has made this game very hard to play now

I'm so sick of being high plat and getting these 'Easy' lobbies where every team but us is Ruby, but they have one or two low RS smurf accounts to manipulate the system. We lose so many points even though it should be a Challenging lobby and our RS loss should be minimum.

After you reach platinum, you need to make it so it's not a team average that determines the points, its just the top player...because so many teams are abusing this.

Even if it's not 40º,as long as any form of aim lock exists,sword will have the most idiotic handling. Since the rotation clamp is clearly the biggest thing that makes the weapon unusable, it should not exist in the game at all.You should just revert sword back to how it was in S1 and S2, when there was no multi-hit. Sword back then was a bit weak, but that’s okay. It’s better than receiving a dumb patch that destroys the weapon’s original identity, even if it’s a weaker weapon.
Because you thought sword was weak when there was no multi-hit,you patched multi-hit in.But because your obsession with keeping that led to the dumbest decision, even removing mechanics all other weapons have.
Every weapon, when in close range, can naturally move behind the enemy or slide behind and look back to hit. And dagger is a weapon specifically designed for that. So are you going to add aim lock to all weapons? Why, sword can’t look back like all do? Every weapon can naturally look back and attack. But sword alone is restricted from doing that? Why do you discriminate only against the sword by calling it an “exploit” when all melees can do it?
Wildly spinning the aim actually wasn’t used, It was used only in very rare cases dumb enemies were stupidly stacked in one spot.
The occasional turning of aim was used to maximize multi-hit.
If the problem is wild turning, then just remove multi-hit.
Even if someone spins wildly, they’d only hit one target. That solves the problem. Of course, dmg must also be reverted.
Why you have to ruin sword’s identity that’s been there since its release just to appease the nerf whiners? M1 spam on a 150 HP class is not good. Who’s the narrow-minded person who decided on a patch like this that ruins sword’s identity by thinking “melee should just be dumb M1 spam?

Season 9, I want a heavy primary that’s a riot shield five-seven combo, and I’m postin this every day Whenever i feel like till it happens.

25 damage per shot, 300 RPM, 125 DPS. Falloff range similar to the V9S,
20 round mag, reload slightly slower than the V9S (reloading with a shield in your hands is hard :c),
hipfire below average, youd be missing at least half your shots by ten meters.,
ADS is laser accurate, but requires you shift your shields position 90 degrees, revealing your head and more of your body (Think how rainbow six siege riot shields work).,
Recoil is similar to the V9S, maybe slightly higher as a balance point.,
Riot shield is notably shorter than mediums, only covering heavy from the top of their head to their waist. Their legs remain exposed if not crouching (again, think R6S).,
Shield is held up whenever not sprinting. Lowering heavies movement slightly.,
Shield is held to side while sprinting, functioning like mediums riot shield when not being held up.

Always the same abusers, people are always 3 stack rubys, where 1 or 2 are smurf to boost the 3rd's account. Ranked is a circus.
People does not deserve ruby ranked for sucking out points from plat-gold players, this needs a fix.

Diamond and ruby should play together. Not ruby and gold. How can you be top 500 in a game when all you do is squeezing points from mid-elo players? That does not sound right to me.

I have seen numerous complaint that while BF6's destruction is not as dynamic and realistic as The Finals, it unfortunately "feels like paper mache" because the debris doesn't actually deal damage, and by extention, is a considerable threat to anyone. In BF6 it is still possible to die by being crushed under the ceiling on low health.

I think Finals should add just a little bit of damage to falling debris, like between 5-40 damage (the damage of a quick melee) depending on the weight and speed of the chunk. You know, not really enough to outright finish off a player outside extreme cases, but just enough to give a "feel" that the walls actually have some weight and can interact with the players beyond being just an obstacle.

Not really game feedback, but more of a promotion suggestion. Discord now has some kind of "Orb store", where you can earn orbs by watching game trailers (for example, "Ready or Not" is there). In return you get some Orbs to spend on cosmetics. Discord is full of gamers of course, so it's the perfect target audience for expanding the player base.

The limited respawns is understandable, but locking our loadouts just makes the mode itself feel worse than wt.
Progression is also disgusting, you can absolutely dominate the first round and still lose points. It should give points for each individual round, so you gain points for winning each round, and only lose points when you go out. Losing should only take away points if you go out in the first round, it should just slow progress when you lose in the second.
I have better things to do with my time than spending 30 minutes on a tournament that actively takes away points from my rs. That's like playing a mode that removes progress from your contracts.

Snipers can be viable close range in games, but at least make it more viable. The gun isnt not even that rewarding if you're good at sniping. Pike is a DMR with good hipfire and very good long range with no sniper glint. It cant keep up due to the fast ttk of the game and people just walking up on you with no audio. You cant even deny rez, people just pick them up and run away to cover which there is plenty of.

KS23 NEEDS HEADSHOTS

Ks23 was the guns that suffered the most from the removal of the ability to by pass manual action animations on patch 5.8, before that patch, the gun was not the best, but, it was viable. But now, even after the multiple ks23 buffs, the gun stills struggles in almost every situation.

The 5.8 change made it so all of the skill ceiling of the gun was gone, before, you were able to use QM between shots and combo it with winch(unlike model, every time you used QM with ks you lose fire rate, making it a high risk/high reward strat), allowing it to have a insane burst potential if you were good with it.

But now there is nothing. The dmg, mag, and ttk of the gun is mediocre compared to the rest of heavy arsenal, it feel clunky when using with every spec that is not C&S because of the 5.8 changes, and the destruction capabilities doesn't alleviate this issues.

So i propose this:

⌁ Reduce the base dmg from 100 to 90 (The TTK and STK against every class stays the same) but give it a 1.5x headshot multiplier (135 dmg per headshot)

Most of this change is focused on bringing back the skill ceiling the gun lost after 5.8 patch without making it overpowered (I want Ks to be viable, not broken). This change would also increase the effectiveness of Ks close range while keeping the same ttk for long range fights.

⌁ Increase the Damage Drop off Modifier from ~70% to ~78%
 
I still want to keep the 70 dmg per shot at longer ranges, long range shots are one of the most rewarding parts of Ks and now with headshots (105 dmg at long ranges) added to the equation it gives another layer of complexity that rewards good players.

⌁ (Optional) increase mag size from 6 to 7

reducing the base dmg from 100 to 90 hurts the (already low) dmg per mag, going from 600 to 540 (one of the lowest dmg per mag on the heavy arsenal), so giving one more bullet would alleviate this issue.

A lot of people are complaining about riot shield, but I personally think it’s fine where it is. The reason people complain about it is because it is a melee weapon, which means people just hate it no matter what, and has been a viable weapon recently, meaning people see it more and lose to it more. Sure there’s bugginess and issues (I am no expert on riot shield, so I don’t know the exact issues), but aside from that I think it’s a pretty good weapon that’s fun to play but not impossible to beat.
Edit: walking sideways to use the shield’s hitbox without blocking could be called tech and thus I feel like I should say that it should not be removed, stop killing tech that’s not even overpowered

Season 9, I want a heavy primary that’s a riot shield five-seven combo, and I’m postin this every day Whenever i feel like till it happens.

25 damage per shot, 300 RPM, 125 DPS. Falloff range similar to the V9S,
20 round mag, reload slightly slower than the V9S (reloading with a shield in your hands is hard :c),
hipfire below average, youd be missing at least half your shots by ten meters.,
ADS is laser accurate, but requires you shift your shields position 90 degrees, revealing your head and more of your body (Think how rainbow six siege riot shields work).,
Recoil is similar to the V9S, maybe slightly higher as a balance point.,
Riot shield is notably shorter than mediums, only covering heavy from the top of their head to their waist. Their legs remain exposed if not crouching (again, think R6S).,
Shield is held up whenever not sprinting. Lowering heavies movement slightly.,
Shield is held to side while sprinting, functioning like mediums riot shield when not being held up.

Embark are useless. Many of us are quitting the game because of the stupid decisions they make. It's getting worse, and they still haven't removed the Cl-40 from the game.   • add a small damage to broken walls and falling debris, not enough to outright kill someone but just enough to consider crashing buildings as a threat and nothing more than paper-mache obstacles like how HL2 and BF6 does it.

  • remove wallbreaking items and abilities from Terminal Attack, make it more tactical and grounded like CS2 or Valorant.

  • add the option to sacrifice 2 item slots to bring a secondary weapon, so that it's easier to fight against 3rd parties as well as direct counters to your build like in Apex Legends.

Throwing knives need a nerf no reason throwing knives should be able to wipe a team faster than a dagger, sword, flame thrower, shot gun, literally everything and have the fire rate with crit hits off pure luck. Like how is it that dagger has to get around people well they are turning and line up a 50/50 hit or miss crit that only works on charge but throwing knives can just spam away. Its way too much damage and high of fire rate compared to all its counter parts that have zero range.
Like only charge should have crit and should not spam throw oh i hit a head. Like where is the fairness. Either give dagger and sword crit hits no matter how they hit if they hit the right spot or make throwing knives have no crit or a specific spot with a charge.

I'll keep insisting on this, I think Embark shouldn't overlook this.
My main game is The Finals and sometimes I find myself closing it instantly in a sweaty lobby when I wanna have a chill and fun time on it. We need more chill options, more socials hubs.
Taking a similar path as of Forenight and/or Wahframe imo is the move to do. I'm sure I ain't the only one closing the game when confronted with sweaty rubys. Need more creative and relax options.

Especially good for player retention, as newer players have so much to learn and to compete against veterans. So giving them a reason to stay would be big for TFinals.

Little list of what could be great for the game:
**- map creator (something like the Forge from Halo or Portal from Bf)

  • customisable homebase for clans

  • community maps with created gamemodes -- infection gamemode (like in Halo), props climb up, destruction gamemode, race against time gamemode (only jumpad, only grapple etc...)

  • pve mode and campaign mode with cutscenes (maybe? 😄 )

  • also add the possibilty for June and Scotty to pronounce our names in the arena, we know you worked on that so add it already, if ur scared of people abusing it, just have the gamertags verified**

The Finals already so sandboxy, I don't think stuff like this would be impossible to do/see

But just this morning I found 1 of the scummiest little statue campers I've ever seen(what kind of POS camps statues with the CL-40?) any he had the drop on me & after the statue bounced away cus of his surprise attack, I was able to stand up, turn around & kill him. All while getting hit. He had the drop on me, he had high ground & he didn't stop hitting me but still died & got some T-bags for being a camper. kind of thought about it, the only buff dagger would need to make it viable is have it so melee aim assist with the dagger backstab does not assist towards the front, allowing aim assist to be used on generic backstabs and dashstabs without pulling the blade to the front during dashes. Fix the crashing, fix the freezes, fix the timeout you get even when you reconnect to the game. So fucking annoying. I dont even bother reconnecting anymore, because I know Im still getting a timeout. Might as well play something else.

Also, fix the riot shield. If its hanging on their side, not even blocking, it should not BLOCK EVERYTHING FROM EVERY DIRECTION. Even fire is blocked, even though the shield isnt even blocking half the body. I get if it blocks when you are actually using it to block, but not when its just hanging on the side, blocking only a part of the body.

This game is getting more and more frustrating to play every update.

Dear embark, please update the final round for tournaments and the way head2head works. If both teams have 25k why is it the team which got the first cashout wins? This gameplay decision is very unfair and incentivizes the team in first to run out the clock, and considering both teams have the same amount of cash an arbitrary decider shouldn't cause one team to win and the other to lose. You could make it so at the end of the time if both teams have the same amount either the last cashout automatically starts, or you could make it where it becomes a deathmatch, and the first team to wipe looses.

The riot shields hitbox needs some serious attention given too it. I'm not talking about the alt fire bringing the shield in front, that's fine. the issue is the lingering hitbox while attacking and running. if the hitbox actually functioned well I'd be fine with it, but it outright isn't and should be removed until its fixed. Istg I have shot the same riot shield player on every angle of their body while they weren't even paying attention to me, chasing my teammate, and 0 damage was dealt for every single bullet. Remove the ability to block when not holding the alt fire on it until its fixed. jesus

Having used it for awhile, despite being a bit jarring at first, I really think the change to the defibs was a solid one. It's possible that the audio cue may need a SLIGHT update to accommodate, but overall a good change that I just had to get used to.

Bro I have ADHD with games lets just put it at that and regrefully I just randomly stopped playing thsi game around S3 which was the season they added the digital map I believe. My point being I came back a few days back and realized bank it is gone and now there's TDM, but I did not favor TDM over bank it. Back then I always did wish they could add TDM but I never wanted Bank it ever replaced. I would honestly wish they could add it back, it was my #1 game mode when I played a lot and I did play a decent amount since the betas. I did play 200 hours at least on steam dont know if that includes the beta but I just wish they could consider at least adding it back with a warning of long queue times if the game mode really is not that popular as what I heard. I just think it deserves a spot in this game man, it was an interesting unique game mode imo. And what made it special for me was I would just run Light class and run around with the sword going ham sometimes without my team and just absolutely wrecking everyone. Even if it's not 40º,as long as any form of aim lock exists,sword will have the most idiotic handling. Since the rotation clamp is clearly the biggest thing that makes the weapon unusable, it should not exist in the game at all.You should just revert sword back to how it was in S1 and S2, when there was no multi-hit. Sword back then was a bit weak, but that’s okay. It’s better than receiving a dumb patch that destroys the weapon’s original identity, even if it’s a weaker weapon.
Because you thought sword was weak when there was no multi-hit,you patched multi-hit in.But because your obsession with keeping that led to the dumbest decision, even removing mechanics all other weapons have.
Every weapon, when in close range, can naturally move behind the enemy or slide behind and look back to hit. And dagger is a weapon specifically designed for that. So are you going to add aim lock to all weapons? Why, sword can’t look back like all do? Every weapon can naturally look back and attack. But sword alone is restricted from doing that? Why do you discriminate only against the sword by calling it an “exploit” when all melees can do it?
Wildly spinning the aim actually wasn’t used, It was used only in very rare cases dumb enemies were stupidly stacked in one spot.
The occasional turning of aim was used to maximize multi-hit.
If the problem is wild turning, then just remove multi-hit.
Even if someone spins wildly, they’d only hit one target. That solves the problem. Of course, dmg must also be reverted.

Because of how side running works with the Riot Shield, it would be fun to have a riot shield skin where the shield is a bunch of pans and the baton would be the butt end of a rifle.

Basically the side running strat makes it feel like we're the pan shot guy (from The ballad of Buster Scruggs) and it would be awesome to have a riot shield skin like that.

I know it's probably an underutilized feature, but I wish private matches had a bit more customization settings.

It would be nice to be able to customize exactly what gameshow appears in a round (not just the ability to enable/disable them entirely), or mix and match elements from similar gamemodes (like having toggleable options so you can make a gamemode like World Tour, but with the team wipe penalty from ranked, while still having mid-match loadout swapping.) Could also be a nice feature to be able to pick the team names from the full list instead of them being the same 4 each time.

This is most likely a stretch, but something like Halo custom multiplayer type settings would also be really cool, and would probably get private games used more often. Being able to change run speed or add a health multiplier would allow people to set up their own unique and wacky gamemode variants. It would also be cool to be able to force loadout restrictions or respawn token limits in the match settings.

Season 9, I want a heavy primary that’s a riot shield five-seven combo, and I’m postin this every day Whenever i feel like till it happens.

25 damage per shot, 300 RPM, 125 DPS. Falloff range similar to the V9S,
20 round mag, reload slightly slower than the V9S (reloading with a shield in your hands is hard :c),
hipfire below average, youd be missing at least half your shots by ten meters.,
ADS is laser accurate, but requires you shift your shields position 90 degrees, revealing your head and more of your body (Think how rainbow six siege riot shields work).,
Recoil is similar to the V9S, maybe slightly higher as a balance point.,
Riot shield is notably shorter than mediums, only covering heavy from the top of their head to their waist. Their legs remain exposed if not crouching (again, think R6S).,
Shield is held up whenever not sprinting. Lowering heavies movement slightly.,
Shield is held to side while sprinting, functioning like mediums riot shield when not being held up.

MORE WT MAP EVENTS: Would love to see more mid-match events, for example a solar flair event that requires players to stay in-doors during certain periods of the game or get burnt up by a solar flare that causes fires across the map.

EDIT: As the people below have said, the exception here I think is heavy's charge and slam, which I think is balanced in pretty much any scenario except in the pro space, where it seems winch is always chosen.

SPECIALISATIONS: I think the specialisations that are not Winch, Demat and Dash need a BUFF. Unlike past issues with weapon balance, the specialisations meta is as rigid as it is, not because those 3 are too strong, but because the other specs are too weak. Debuffing the specialisations too much will place too much pressure on pure gunplay, which takes away from the unique aspects and gameplay of the finals.

The equip times are way too slow for gadgets and specializations (like I get that you don't want these things to happen instantly, but I also don't think you know how horrific it feels when you have 140 ping and nothing works)

Literally, it happens to me everyday where I will equip my RPG pull the trigger switch weapons and nothing happens other than just me switching back and forth between weapons.

Same with the dematerializer especially, it's so ridiculously slow to operate as is and then just doesn't do the thing I asked it to.

Same with dome shield, sometimes I'll throw it change weapons and start to shoot, only to find out that my dome did not deploy and that I just switched weapons and now I'm dead.

We just need the game to feel more responsive because with the player base where it is it's not like I'm going to have South African servers anytime soon. And I don't think any EU or NA players will be moaning about Faster response times on their gadgets and specializations.

Please speed up the deploy and equip animations it's killing me 😭

I've got some ideas for more kind of events mid - match: 1) Mirror Edge (Some parts of the arena are slowly getting upside down, usually near cashouts); 2) Glass madness (Certain parts of the arena become transparent but solid. Randomized, doesn't need to be near vaults or cashouts) 3) Lights out (No, is not banning Light mains/players. This would consist into dimming the ingame lights, such as those lamps that hang from the upper ring of the arena or make some areas of the arena darker than usual. Add strategically placed yellow electric walls to all of the maps. They're only in Bernal and Nozomi/Citadel where they actually block the path and force you to crush walls. Also please add more mechanisms in general. Again, only Bernal and Nozomi/Citadel has unique elevators/mechanisms.

Maybe add a vehicle or work machine that moves and crashes uncontrollably and randomly when you push the button. Or add an excavator with little control so we can destruct houses just like the crane ball (actually it does not work as intended but yeah)

Goo in itself needs a rework. It should be low hp on deployment so you can't trap people forever with the goo gun for example. Or replenish it right after someone breaks in. I've had games where the entire room is goo-ed up and it's impossible to get in. Example in a game was with a dude running flamethrower and accidently burnt the room... you know what happend? He just goo gunned the walls back instantly and goo grenaded it. We were even shooting it. It's horribly frustrating to play against.

Should make it low hp on deployment so it's easy to break/instant break on damage and it gains health fast and becomes stronger the longer it stays. Think 1-2 seconds foe it to reach max health

  • Increase the hip fire of the CB01-Repeater
  • Rework Vanish Bomb. Make it start regen instant. It will increase survability for the Light & it can be use for your teammates too !
  • Reduce the radius of the reflect of the Dual Blade or let us shoot in the feet or something else to let us counter DB when you got an AR like Riot Shield.
  • Nerf the range of the KS23. You can put 100 dmg at 20m.
  • Nerf PIKE to 48 dmg instead of 50 dmg.
  • Rework defib: Reduce the cooldown reset to 5s and give 100HP instead of 50% of your HP. It will force Medium to revive safer !
  • Winch & lockbolt shouldn't do 5 damages. It's already strong enough
  • Rework the ARN into a real AR ? Slower RPM but much more DMG. Something like the FCAR for example.

The effort to play Light correctly is too damn high compared to Medium & Heavy class. There is no fun at all playing Light. When will we see a META with Light ?
Share with us your data on all class. Light are getting vanish by 80% of the weapons in your game and can't get a proper 1v1 without get instant kill. You destroyed the stun gun. You destroyed the XP54. Everyone viable weapons or gadget has been destroyed by other class because they can't track properly an other class with 150HP.

There's no reason to run anything else than ARs, SMGs or DB... Maybe akimbos on heavy. Every time a new weapon enters the meta it's nerfed to the ground. Cerberus, CL40, Sledge, all now throw picks that are even less viable at their target range than the ARs and SMGs that are always viable and often the best option whether you're shooting point blank or at targets a bit further away.

It’s been 20 minutes since I got a game found, but I’m stuck on “waiting for other contestants to connect.”

I use mobile internet, but that shouldn’t be the issue since I’ve played many hours before without problems.

I often face random lag spikes, even though:

I’m playing on overall low-quality settings

My FPS is locked at 250

My connection seems okay-ish

The lag spikes appear out of nowhere and ruin the experience.

I can’t afford Wi-Fi right now, so mobile data is my only option.

Hi Embark devs, I wake up, with such a great idea.

Can you make the possibility to improve the data reshaper to the capacity to reshape dome shields outside of the core? Also you can do the capacity to reshape enemy zip lines and the inactive gateway 1, just reduce the cooldown to make this gadget more useful in game. It is a good idea, but most of the time only is necessary to reshape turrets and barricades.
The matter with experience gained using data reshaper is the long time to reach another level in their rewards. Every gadget or item turned just gives you 25 XP and I think this is the most hard gadget to reach the last level (I'm a data reshaper user sometimes and is good for Medium turret and SPA Turrets, but I think is more useless after the nerf.

Cerberus changes are nice this update. Although I wish the TTK could improve slightly.

Unlike Light and Heavy, Medium doesn’t have any strong and reliable movement/defensive tech for the shotgun. Light has cloak and dash. Heavy has a large health pool, dome/barricade and mesh shield/charge and slam. Medium lacks in the area of sustaining themselves with shotguns. Goo isn’t always reliable either especially when you can set it on fire.

IMO, Cerberus should have a greater chance for heat procs even if they are far away. I think the max damage being 99 is fine although maybe reduce the fall off damage. Accuracy is also a problem but I can’t think of a solution, its not like the Model where you can just add an extra bullet. Maybe decrease the reload time by a few mili seconds can be a good QOL change that can help the TTK indirectly.

It is also extremely hard to kill a heavy right now with Cerberus. You have to be extremely patient for the heat procs to tick (if you even get a heat proc) and you are a far easier target when you are waiting for the damage to apply making you extremely vulnerable especially when you are so close to them.

Tac vest cosmetic

As a crossbody item!

We already have bullet slings, harnesses, sling bags, and freaking wrestling belt - so why not tac vests which can cover some to next to nothing of the upper body (see attached examples).

This is such a simple thing that could spice up the customisation of our contestants. Hell, if there was a bundle with different colors (tan, black, camo whatever) it can could make a killing too.

But most importantly, it adds variety to a game stagnant with tacticool upper bodies; these could add flavour to a freaking t-shirt or hoody that no one has thought of using because it's just not cool on its own.

We have outfits that are literally a shirt or top with tac vest or harness, yes. But they are locked together. I want the harness to be available on its own with near unlimited options.

THE FINALS already provides so much variety, and the #🔥┇drip-check is proof of that. So why not add some more to it?

Ability concept: Rubble Raiser

This is an idea that sort of encompasses a little of everything heavy is designed to do, something between charge and slam, winch claw, and mesh shield.

Upon ability activation, heavy enters a half second “wind-up” animation where he gets ready to rush forward. On completion, heavy lunges up to 5 meters in the direction of his crosshair, with the intent of colliding with either structure or a player.

Upon colliding with a breakable structure, heavy will rip a chunk of the wall out, bracing it as a shield. For up to ten seconds, heavy will hold it in front of him as a 500 HP barricade, blocking enemy fire from their knees to their neck. Heavy can move and aim the shield about as if he was holding up a mesh shield during this time, though their movespeed is notably reduced. If the specialization input is pressed at all during this time, heavy will throw the rubble forwards, dealing 100 damage and high structural damage to whatever it hits. The rubble has weight similar to the grav cube, meaning you can’t throw it very far.

Upon hitting an enemy, heavy will lift and immediately throw the enemy the same way they would a rubble chunk, with the same mass. Upon collision with anything, that enemy takes 100 damage. If they hit another enemy player, both take 100 damage. If they hit a breakable surface, they will break through it, taking the damage then. Enemies cannot break through more than one structure per throw. Enemies caught by the throw cannot shoot while heavy is holding them, or until they land.

This specializations short range and requirement to connect will give it decent skill requirement, but high skill expression, and significant versatility in lots of scenarios.

I've got a good idea to changes turrets to actually be usefull, without being too anoying.

Remove the APS turret gadget

Make the turret have the APS added on it (Keeping the health reduction everytime it destroys a projectile)

Every time the turret destroys a projectile it may turn to the direction the projectile was destroyed from.

Make the turret turn faster towards enemy position

Reduce the damage it does a little bit and also reduce the cooldown.

The medium turret it's really easy to counter, and this way even if the place where it was gets destroyed, it can still be usefull while on the ground.

The APS health reduction everytime it destroys a projectile makes it so it's not completely useless to throw things at it, making it destroy a maximum of 5 things like the APS does.

As for healing beam, just make it so it can heal multiple people at the same time, or please increase the ammount it heals. It HAS to be better than light healing gun, medium IS the support class. Could possibly be the only healing device available in Terminal attack to truly give the medium it's support role.

Make demat have one less extra charge, or turn it back to how little it demated before.

Fix bugs on Xbox ffs. Idk about pc. Weapon selection menu must open, be closed & reopened to swap a weapon during a match. Checking settings after a match is a pain because the settings button just doesn't do anything for a moment when returning to home screen from a match. The option to select anything on the main menu just disappeared & the game had to be closed this morning . All 3 head bands I own, red-black-yellow, still clip through masks along with MANY other clipping cosmetics. Players can still leave & have the game thinking they might come back for the whole match, making a losing battle unquitable. The weapon selection problem has been a thing since OB but it was once in a while but now it is 100% of the time & got old quick. & Many more. I shouldn't have to list these off anyway. You don't have one employee that can actually play the game for a while & find the bugs? I promise they aren't well hidden, they are an obvious pain 👍

  1. Add damage on broken wall debris like Battlefield, with damage as little as 5-20 depending on how fast or heavy the debris was. Not really enough to outright kill someone, but just enough to not make them feel like harmless paper-mache.

  2. Remove all wall destruction items, weapons and skills from Terminal Attack. All the other modes in this game are more than good enough at showing off the game's very impressive destruction physics, but none of them really showcases the game's brilliant map design and architecture. Removing destruction from Terminal Attack would fill that niche, while also making the game mode much more grounded and tactical similar to CSGO and Valorant, like Embark intended. Or better yet, just remove it cos no one plays it anyways.

  3. Add perks from CoD to the game, that take up 1 or 2 equipment slots depending on the passive bonus they can provide. Including but not limited to:

Faster movement, silent footsteps, faster aim movement and crouch, faster ads, removed flinch when hit, better hipfire accuracy, better vaulting and climbing, faster healing on kill, faster gear recharge on kill, faster cooldown on abilities, extra capacity/charge for abilities, footprint tracking, dropping grenade on death, extra weapon slot, extra gear charges, reduced damage from explosives and melee, reduced harmful effects duration, etc.

with a little more experience now, head-2-head still feels pretty good

the only problems i have are:
a team occasionally being too strong (often due to stacks)
and 1 team spawning way closer to the first cashbox

perhaps with it only requiring 2 teams for each match, matchmaking could be tightened a bit to attempt to put stacks up against eachother more
spawning 50-100 meters further from the box can make it feel a bit random, but it still feels far better to me than how random quick cash can be, it can create interesting push vs pull situations while also being a lot less decisive over who takes it a lot of the time, so i dont really mind it that much

good job with the mode, i think yall have struck something good with it, i hope its here to stay

Hello all. I want to to ask anyone who's done it already as solo queue: How do I complete the earn 45,000 bounty in the circuit challenges? I've tried it REPEATEDLY and as a solo queue it's just not looking even remotely possible. It seems that, again just like last season's engimo lever action rifle, I will not be able to get it solely based on this challenge. I understand the challenge's requirements but it feels like, unless I ABSOLUTELY LFG here I will not be able to complete it otherwise... Is there a spefcific method? Is it just GIT GUD? or is there something I'm missing? Other than good random teammates/LFG'ing?

CL-40 is still incredibly strong and the sword buff was not only completely unnecessary but also made the weapon completely overpowered.

I can’t speak for PC users but on console it is genuinely impossible to hit dash users consistently due to sensitivity.

There is definitely a wicked turret meta imo, APS turret not being countered by glitch grenade is definitely very ridiculous. One turret on its own is pretty bad but the more you stack them the more ridiculous they get.

Spear is also pretty oppressive which is a very unpopular opinion so it’s likely I’m just bad against it.

I’ve already talked about it but sword is actually ridiculous in its current state and desperately needs a nerf. Its combo with evasive dash is actually crazy especially against console players who literally can’t move their camera fast enough.

This is a huge one for me personally as a mainly melee user, a light with evasive dash COMPLETELY counters every single melee in the ENTIRE game shit is actually ridiculous. The only way to fight a dash light with a melee weapon is to use evasive dash as well which should not be the way it is. I’m not saying to nerf it into the ground but please add some kind of counter/option for melee users against dash lights

And finally invisibility is incredibly inconsistent across all platforms… PLEASE make it consistent. It should absolutely not under any circumstances make fights rely entirely upon how much money your willing to spend on you gaming system. On ps4 it is GENUINELY invisible while on a newer console/PC it doesn’t even compare. This is by far my biggest gripe about the game in its current state.

Cosmetics wise I would love to see more animations for the dual blades, seeing as currently they have literally none. I think adding a juggling inspect animation that lasts as long as you hold the button would make for a very nice addition.

Also add goblins to the finals.

Poke is the ruin of this game.
All the worst hated maps are because of long sightlines where peaking for 2ms will make you lose half health if you're lucky.
Kyoto? giant sightlines, you can't get to any objective without being poked by a random 3rd team that wasn't even near close to you.
Seoul hospital? Can't push because you lose all your health.
Suspended structures? Hell yeah try to get there.

The fall off being capped at 50% is not okay. Throughout the entirety of kyoto, a light can hit a shot and deal 100% damage on an headshot. You're going to say, well who's ever going to hit that? yeah but it's possible, and that's the problem. Now multiply it by 3, since the entire team does it, not just one dude.
In multiple angles. Throughout the map. It's bad. By multiple teams too.

Weapons that are better at close range only make sense in las vegas, and the majority of the points in monaco. In any other map, unless you're in low ranks that shots can't be hit at range, all those weapons are a risk to take, and won't work 90% of the time.

Pike? Top tier weapon? guess why.
M11? top tier weapon in multiple seasons? guess why.

Good movement, amazing feel, but you can't just have it if you get one shot by range every single time.

This game is about defending the objective and getting the most money, but the game prefers you to play counter strike, minedropper and also payday. Decide one.

Embark, I sincerely hate entering games that have already started. Most of them are close to ending, and you barely have time to do anything. All so that in the end you not only lose, but also get ridiculed for "not playing well" after only being in the game for 3 minutes. I understand that it would be stupid to punish everyone who taunts or acts like an idiot; that's what the player blocking option is for.

But finding one of those who only wants to ruin the experience for those players every X games, at least once or twice... thank goodness you can only read your allies because I don't want to see what the opponents would be like. At this point, I come back to what I wanted to complain about: an option to not enter games halfway. I know it ruins the experience for players who are already in the game(because they are one less or if all enemy team exit was bore the game), but it's also annoying for those who enter a game with only 3 minutes left.

PD: is nice but they have to work in some parts of the game and balance, this season is the best in cosmetics @deft plume

lv11 riot shield main here, been playing it for a long while and after seeing what ppl have to deal with i feel so bad for running this thing lmao. ik this has probably been said to death but the desync and inconsistent hitboxes need to be fixed cuz this is getting silly.
Lots of players in all playlists are running the thing not really understanding player animations or anything remotely complex about the weapon and just holding W and A then mashing m1 till the guy in front of em dies, which they are rewarded for doing so cuz of server jank and general dumb shit with the weapon. It's made many appearances in my ranked lobbies even.
I dont really have a solution for this but itd be really nice to see this tended to asap (make it consistent with the world model!!!) cuz some of my buddies are not having fun running the game atm and its upsetting to see

Please add these settings please.

  1. Being able to swap interact to the same as grab with no dropping to hit the same button (like allow double key binding)
  2. Ladder interact over auto grab option (or make all ladder ziplines)
  3. Change cam hight buttons. It sucks to be moving the cam up and then spawn and use your ablity

Also have controller default sens higher you are putting people that don’t adjust sens at a disadvantage to most other players. Like 300 range is a good start. If my 9 yo nephew can handle it most 99% others can.

As feedback concerning griefing, I've heard many variation of how it can be solved.
Imo what could work best is when 1st team is guaranteed to qualify, they should have some kind of disadvantage: for example: guns despawn for them, so they have to make sure they don't wipe and run away + hide. (Or they could do reduced dmg to ennemy teams.)

Taking the 1st placers into spectator mode would make it very boring.
If ur 1st and u need to make sure not to wipe, I think it's a good solution to stay in the game and just hide. Could give some good utility for light players, as to hunt them down for example. -- also an indirect buff to tracking darts

While some tweakings can be done to this idea of mine, I think it's the fairest solution without making the game uninteresting. And revert the disappearing vaults at the end, it's a weird change.

  • Make Nedstrike a permanent event for all modes that feature events
  • Add Parley voice to Seas the Day set and give it to those who already bought this set
  • Don’t nerf riot shield, just bugfix the actual shield hitbox so it makes more sense (to users and opponents alike)

Even if it's not 40º,as long as any form of aim lock exists,sword will have the most idiotic handling. Since the rotation clamp is clearly the biggest thing that makes the weapon unusable, it should not exist in the game at all.You should just revert sword back to how it was in S1 and S2, when there was no multi-hit. Sword back then was a bit weak, but that’s okay. It’s better than receiving a dumb patch that destroys the weapon’s original identity, even if it’s a weaker weapon.
Because you thought sword was weak when there was no multi-hit,you patched multi-hit in.But because your obsession with keeping that led to the dumbest decision, even removing mechanics all other weapons have.
Every weapon, when in close range, can naturally move behind the enemy or slide behind and look back to hit. And dagger is a weapon specifically designed for that. So are you going to add aim lock to all weapons? Why, sword can’t look back like all do? Every weapon can naturally look back and attack. But sword alone is restricted from doing that? Why do you discriminate only against the sword by calling it an “exploit” when all melees can do it?
Wildly spinning the aim actually wasn’t used, It was used only in very rare cases dumb enemies were stupidly stacked in one spot.
The occasional turning of aim was used to maximize multi-hit.
If the problem is wild turning, then just remove multi-hit.
Even if someone spins wildly, they’d only hit one target. That solves the problem. Of course, dmg must also be reverted.
Why you have to ruin sword’s identity that’s been there since its release just to appease the nerf whiners? M1 spam on a 150 HP class is not good. Who’s the narrow-minded person who decided on a patch like this that ruins sword’s identity by thinking “melee should just be dumb M1 spam?
Why do you ignore feedback from actual users of the weapon, and only listen to nerf whiners who never even used it?

i dont know if heavy winch needs to be nerfed or buffed, but i think something cool for heavies would be:

make it so heavies winch can grapple like scouts, but more limited
-using it has same cooldown as grappling someone
-still has same max winch length
-the winch grapple itself would only last like 2 seconds, quick movement boost that isnt super mobile

this would essentially just be making winch more useful rather than just fighting a 1v1, and heavy lacks any mobility options, i get that heavy is meant to be slow, but atleast give a tiny bit of mobility, how are we gonna get to the cashout if it spawns us 120m away

Because that identity was built on broken, unintended tech that made balancing inconsistent. Y'all were using swords by simply dragging the mouse sensitivity to the max, then hold RMB and rapidly shake the mouse all over the table in hopes of getting as many hits as possible without even bothering to aim the thrust properly, all while completely ignoring the LMB like a pariah. That's not a sensible playstyle in any way, not for a multiplayer game with focus on competitiveness. For the first time sword is actually in a balanced state that doesn't require bugs and exploits to be viable, like the 1887's reload-skipping tech. If your skill with a weapon depends on unfair exploits and bugs, then you were never skilled with it to begin with.

Now how about instead of copypasting the same post again and again and again and again, learn to actually aim the thrust attack? If you actually knew real-life swordfighting, you'd know thrust attacks are risky to use. Because it forces your momentum and stance into a single direction, you must know how to aim your thrust attacks before attempting one lest you become open to counter. You can complain about LMB spam, but with proper positioning you can avoid enough hits to finish off your opponents before they get you. Too bad you were so busy using the sword's buggy behaviour as a crutch you never learnt how to actually maintain your positioning, and now you cry over here everyday instead of actually getting better at it. Please, pratice with the sword a little bit more, or better yet, swap to something easier like SH1900 or M11 and relax. Gaming is for enjoyment and having fun, not frustrations and saltiness.

Buff to flamethrower: exponential damage when on fire and receiving damage from flamethrower.

This will force Heavy to close distance and use environment to their advantage (even though most maps are now only made for long-distance fights).

Increase its range back to 10 meters: same range as open beta, it’s pretty much the only thing it hasn’t gotten back. Increase overall DPS by 10: this will still leave it doing much less damage than most weapons, but at least it will be killing a Medium faster than 3 seconds.

This will also force a change in strategy with other weapons for different classes by making Heavy with flame oppressive (going in close range to get a kill against flamethrower and getting it .. is kinda dumb). Also will make the flamethrower a fun weapon to play with for new players and old too.

Idk how people in the community feels towards flamethrower so plz tell me if anyone thinks these are dumbs suggestions. Idk maybe if too strong make it have like 20-25 ammo

For Embark : If those two "buffs" are to strong then add only one out of the two suggestions.

Keep getting a bug on Xbox where I can’t move around the lobby screen. I can push down left stick and access the career menu. But have to restart the game to start a match or change contestants.

This OP crutch ability is dictating the whole meta right now, all Heavies run it because of ridiculous utility it offers ON TOP of giving you a free kill on L/M players. Light players are forced to play Dash to counter it, no build variety at all which this game was supposed to be all about

The class in general is OP since day one and just consists of spamming gadgets for free kills, bum rushing in and winning. And every season there is a new meta shaping heavy gadget or weapon added to the game...

Reduce the charge for both Dash and Demat from 3 to 2, . The current cost of 3 is excessive, making them overly dominant and disrupting balance. Lowering it to 2 would enhance gameplay fairness, improve overall balance, also winch stunlock reduction (1 winch - 1 free kill) its hitbox is also that lenient and is oppressive against CQC weapons that requires gap closing, the stun is the problem. It will allow players to more freely explore other specialisations without being overshadowed by their strength. Improve Dagger/Sword/Riot/Dual Blades/Sledge/Spear innate movement without relying too much on specs and buff them respectively. Reduce SH1900 Range or just straight up make it 149 max, gameplay loop is, just bait the melee in range and you get 1/2 shot them that's how overtuned its range rn without that much aim no way sword/sledge/dagger have to go danger zone whilst having more risk and less reward vs sh1900 who does the thing better. It's a cheesy instant kill compared to Dagger who requires risky point blank backstab

Not exactly feedback, but rather a suggestion.

What if there was a lobby chat in the game? Like, we already have party and team chat, but, what if you make one more chat for the whole lobby, including the voice chat.
And also maybe add a global chat on the main screen of the game, where people could talk, seek parties, etc.
I know we have this official discord server to chat and seek other players, but IMO it would be a fun feature for the overall game QOL

Basically making sure 1st place isn't completely risk free, & making "Griefing" a double edged sword, & the only team who doesn't have anything to lose is whoever is dead last.
However this doesn't fix Teaming...

Whenever someone is on the opposite team , but friends with opponents in match. Making the odds favor them winning, especially if it's just one of the friends (whatever team they're on) goes through. Smurfing is a HUGE issue nowadays.

I figured out a possible solution to the last round double cashbox problem.

Give the player who owns the cashbox the ability to remove a doubled cashbox at anytime.

If the vault is removed and put in again in the same box or another cashbox, there is no bonus cash for any team.

I'm going to say this again. Please can we be able to see ping in game. The server icons are too broad to be remotely useful. I too am South African and the ping/lag is my only complaint for this game.

Hitscan weapons with this delay is a killer, and please consider South African localization one day.
