For melee weapons to be intuitive, they need to behave in a way that most players can easily understand and expect, especially new players - which means avoiding unexpected features like quick melee on a dedicated melee weapon, as players wouldn't anticipate a redundant quick-attack option when the weapon itself is already melee-focused, leading to confusion and frustration.

I really hope they introduce a feature that lets us reroll contract missions — especially when some are really hard to complete!

Alternatively, they could release 8–9 missions each week but still keep the reward threshold at 21.

last changes with doubling is nice but need completely remove doubling 5/6, also make 3rd place in lobby more desirable reduce rs losing/gain for 3rd in ranked and give points in wt. Add options for soloque to avoid blocked players and more precise teammates search im not should get 33k guys when im 39k they just cant follow you and it became lose less points as much as possible.... Make adjustments of rs gain(more)/ lose (less) for soloque players they play game without well organized teammates

The sword angle clamping kills pretty much everything fun about the sword, I get not wanting players to do crazy like, whirling blender of death type stuff but the lunge locks you into a nearly straight line, there's no room for reactivity or expression of play. It's a movement shooter, giving the sword lunge properties that completely KILL your movement just sucks. I would trade damage for freedom of movement with this weapon ANY day of the week. I've been playing the weapon since seaosn 1 and I am honestly just not gonna be playing the game till this is addressed.

What everyone wants =

Spear - Increase attack length even more
Hammer - ( its in the pretty good space now )
Dual blades - increase attack speed and enable faster walking while blocking
Sword - DMG should be 88 primary 135 secondary, Revert lock animation while lunge
Dagger - Primary attack should be raised - backstab is fine as it is even if its harder.
Riot - ( its in the pretty good space now )

That is only melee

Not to mention the most awaited Double barrel nerf. Lets make the DMG 135 and all the other needed changes.

Rotation aim was mainly for maximizing multi-hits. If that’s the problem, then just remove multi-hit and restore ability to aim properly. If you had just removed multi-hit, you could’ve restored weapon to its original form, but, you had to snap char's neck and kill it even more than before.Just remove multi-hit, bring back 74 dmg for Primary Attack and 140 dmg for lunge. and normal aim.

The lunge angle restriction on the sword honestly feels terrible. You’re taking away what made the sword unique. I would rather go back to the old damage numbers than have this horrifically bad-feeling lunge angle lock. Sword rotation clamp makes the secondary attack non-viable for combat.

  1. Secondary attack was buffed from 105 to... 120
  • 0 viable breakpoints except vs Light
  1. But hey, at least we can secondary + QM Lights again like we should have always been able to LOL JK, get rotation clamped, idiot
  • The 1 breakpoint is vs the most mobile class
  • Hitting the target is impossible if they move even slightly to the side, let alone vs Light
  • Moving even slightly to the side makes the Light stuck moving in a straight line a free kill
  • Impossible to flick to land the quick melee literally required for the breakpoint vs Light
  1. Vertical rotation clamping makes 0 SENSE
  • Vertical flicking isn’t used for hitting enemies

Secondary attack damage has to be 140+ and primary attack damage has to be 70+ for Sword’s crucial breakpoints to be viable:

  • Light: Secondary + QM
    • Requires secondary to be 110+
  • Medium: Secondary + QM + primary
    • Requires secondary + QM + primary to be 210+
  • Heavy: (Secondary + QM) x2
    • Requires secondary to be 135+
  • Heavy: Secondary x2 + primary

seeing KS-23 become hitscan made me go booooo. That was the unique fun thing about the gun. Now it's just a repeater for heavy with a pretty bad iron sight. How boring.
It was clearly iron sight only because it was projectile. Guess you need to give it every sight in game now don't you.
You should just make sniper and ks projectile with fast velocity. Leading shots is fun af and the biggest reason why games like battlefield apex and OG Fortnite sniping were the most fun you could have in gaming.

First off, a huge thank you for creating such an outstanding game. I’ve never experienced a title that has managed to captivate me for such a long time while delivering so many memorable and exciting moments. Truly exceptional work!

I wanted to suggest a small but impactful improvement for the console version: having the option to separate the pickup and reload buttons. As it stands, it’s quite common to accidentally pick up items when intending to reload, and vice versa — especially in high-pressure situations. While I’m aware of the prioritization settings, they don’t fully resolve the issue. Having a customizable input option here would go a long way in improving the fluidity and precision of gameplay for many players.

Additionally, I’m really impressed with the training mode — it’s a fantastic feature! It would be amazing if you could introduce the ability to enable player damage in that environment. This would allow players to safely practice aim and combat mechanics with friends in a low-stakes setting, which could be incredibly useful for skill development and warm-ups.

Melee still feels terrible to use for dual blades and riot shield, idk if it's skill issue but the opponents just keep running away, especially if they have dash, demat, ziplines, or jump pads which most do.

The fact that you can be passed through, as if you're invisible, with melee weapons is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen in my life, making it impossible to turn at the speed that lights work, with melee weapons and dash... if you play with low sensitivity to be precise (which is normal, since we're in a shooter genre where aiming is essential), you’re doomed to die. In fact, the way you die is damn ridiculous and frustrating. Every lobby I'm playing in is the furthest thing from what a shooter should be; it's a monkey circus with melee weapons.

But well, this is what Embark wants, a big circus where aiming isn’t a handicap—the handicap is acting like a monkey and passing through players, taking advantage of the fact that you can’t turn at the same speed as those moves because you’re using sensitivity suited for aiming.

Anyway, another joke or prank out of the thousands we’ve already had. It’s obvious this game can’t hold up its player numbers.

Cashball is really fun but as a solo queue this gamemode is impossible. 5 stacks absolutely destroy solo queuers due to the ease of communication etc. All matches I've played have been 0 - 20+ so far.

I'm no longer wondering whether you actually play with these weapons before making patches. It's clear now. You don't. Now sword have mechanics that make them unusable even at melee range.

Do you think melee is just about mindlessly left-clicking? The pre-nerf sword required skill, but now it doesn't. More accurately, there’s no room to build or show skill anymore. That's how useless it has become.

"Doesn’t mean they should always be as good as the best gun or other weapons." So you're saying melee weapons shouldn't beat guns even when they finally get into range? After all the risk of closing the distance, you want them to start at an equal or worse position? Do you think enemies just stand there like idiots while melee weapons try to get close?

From beta until now, when has melee ever been close to the best guns? Never. This is clear discrimination. In April, you said all melee weapons needed viability improvements, but now sword, hammer, and dagger are worse than before. Is nerfing your idea of making something more viable?

If melee was really so strong it needed nerfs, then why is it almost never used in high-tier play? Are top-tier players just too dumb to use it? These are players who care about winning more than anything. If melee was actually strong, most of them would be using it.
So why do you keep gaslighting everyone like melee is op just because of some 'tech'? If you actually used it, you’d realize how wrong that is.
And “intuitive”? Every other weapon in the game can turn and attack freely, but the sword somehow “intuitively” breaks your aim.

You call something you've clearly kept since beta a “bug”? If it really was a bug, then you’ve just been incompetent for leaving it in all this time.

You’re removing tech that caused no balance issues, making everything dumber, nerfing everything, and somehow thinking that makes the game better? The lack of new players wasn’t because of tech. Removing it won’t help, it just pushes existing players away.

Embark should have community driven team that is in separate fields than developers to give them feed back - always have someone from their team here or in steam discussions and reply with expectations or insight discussions because currently there are thousands of players mad regarding melee not to mention melee players leaving.

While ur at buffing dagger, fix its hit reg problems too. There's no way a meelee weapon that's supposed to have lower range than other meelee weapons (cuz its a fckng dagger) can hit enemies being like a metre away from them.
Its supposed to be meelee, let it stay that way.

Just because the shitty servers cause desync doesn't mean any weapon should be able to take advantage of it, like dagger and sword do with how far away they hit. It makes things confusing for both sides in all cases, and sometimes gives dagger users an unfair advantage when its not just a problem of desync.

Sure, dagger needs a buff, like all meelees do right now, but the range thing is dumb. Buff the damage, attack speed, but still fix this shit pls.

Pls nerf CL41 or do something to the light build. I mained light since season 1 and been always top 2000 players and since last update its even harder then ever. You cannot buff all weapons that make it easy to two shot lights and not do anything about their kit at all. KS can kill light easy, Pike can, CL41 can and the changes to the grappeling hook stunning etc etc. to many good things that result in light becoming very difficult to play if the other teams adjust their loadout to it. I understand that going against a good light can be frustrating but giving everyone tools to delete them in an instance without having to aim is not the answer.

Please fix the missing Red X elimination animation upon kill. It was present for all 7 seasons until 2 patches ago. It still appears in the practice range when killing dummies. But in game it doesn’t show up anymore, making it really confusing in the moment if you got the elimination. Plus it’s WAY less satisfying.

I have a small hatred for the light class, I hate the dash that makes them untouchable to all heavy melee players, I hate that ratty invis, I hate that 2 shot kill gun... -replace the normal ranked with 3v3s in a tournament bracket style, pairing teams of similar elo against it eachother til the top.

-this fixes nearly every issue people have with ranked, no third parties, doubling last second, griefing out and all the shit that goes with ranked

i tried sword yesterday and it is definitively an improvement.
The increased damage means it is worth it to use the lunge but the new rotation clamping is overly tight. It makes lunge feel like i'm moving though jelly. I get that embark doesn't want the spin strat back but i think this is too far. Increase the angle to at least 90° or even 180. I think the current system also makes it needlessly hard to hit the followup quick melee, since you can't turn into the opponent to deliver the lovetap.

I was so excited for the melee update, as a spear player.
Somehow, the spear didn't get a small buff, meaning it's now even less viable than Hammer or any other melee weapon.
I was excited for a return of the sword. and.. I don't know what the team was thinking. But this is absolute garbage. I can literally not find any positives to the new implementation. It feels horrible and unintuitive, it still barely does any damage and who in their right mind thought locking the pov to a small cone was a good idea at all?

I love this game for it's movement, for it's diversity, for it's destruction and it's goofiness. But most of all, I like it due to the melee options.
I never really like FPS games, I can't hit anything for the life of me. But this was the game I could enjoy with my friends who do like shooters. And to a point that I love the game and try to recommend it to everyone.

But I'm sorry.. Everytime there's a good mechanic or a tech that most players feel is balanced. you nuke it.
I know how hard it is for new players to stick around. But the solution is not to brick the game for the people who are already playing it.

With almost every recent update, I have lost some love for this game. But if this update is the direction the game is going, I think it's just time to rip off the bandaid and look for something else I can actually enjoy and get invested in for the long term.

I get the locking the sword but at the same time i use my lunge to go past my target as i clip them well whipping which ever way i NEED TO go right after my hits be it back to finish or off for cover. On top of that guns have zero lock where they aim or any interference as such. So now i’m ending up lunging into people getting stopped in their face for a instant death because i can’t do any more hits or move out the way faster that they can just stop ads and spray nothing but my face.

I was really excited for this update, i have been looking forward to it since it was mentioned that there would be a sword buff in 7.6. Ive got over 1000 hours playing the weapon, and the melee aspect of the game is something that me and many of my friends have loved since launch.

Unfortunately, the weapon is pretty unrecognizable from what it was in the beginning in terms of how it plays, and its unfortunate that it is now easier for me to perform with some weapons i have barely used rather than something I have grinded since the beginning. Sword has always had many counters, and is hard countered by some maps and map variants. (Cashouts out in the open, Suspended structures, etc.)

It is no longer even strong in its intended range, as the camera lock is usually a deathwish against any coordinated team playing near each other. Even if you are trying to solely focus one target, you can no longer collect the visual information of where the other enemies are because you're locked to such a small cone. The camera lock often leads to death regardless of whether you choose to disengange or re-engage another enemy (due to lack of information).

I understand the idea behind making the weapon feel fair to fight against. I don't think removing control on the end of the sword user is the answer, as the weapon is already volatile and hard countered by so many weapons, gadgets and situations. I personally think removing the multi-hit and reverting it to its old state would put it in a much healthier place, as most gripes i see with it are due to it being able to kill multiple players quickly.

  • with that said, I love the cashball LTM, I know balancing is a juggling act, and I love the game yall have created.

  • The change to cashout vaults 5&6 doesn't prevent the doubling situation 95% of the time since that typically occurs BEFORE overtime. Genuinely, if you are 3rd/4th place with 2k dollars to your name by the third wave of boxes, you deserve to lose, enough of this doubling by the 1st place to grief out 2nd place. Just remove vault 6 already, or at least make it take time to deposit like some have suggested (7s, same as a steal maybe).
  • Sword "rework" and "buffs" have effectively killed sword for good. Prior to this rework, it was actually still just barely usable in the higher elos if you're cracked enough. Not anymore though. This weapon is done for. Good job, Embark. You did EXACTLY as everyone was fearing.
  • S3 Ruby Card Badge still not rewarded halfway into S7 despite being promised it since late S6.
  • New gamemode is mostly a W, I'd tie it with Heavy Hitters
  • Wheel returns again 🤡

I am very upset as a KS23 main of 5 seasons for the weapon I have come to love and spent over 2000 hours using to become hitscan. Why are we stripping it of its projectile identity? It was fun to learn and felt unique. I get it is more appealing now for those who never have used it, but I kinda feel like everything I put into it was for nothing if you were just gonna make it hitscan lol. Feels less rewarding for me now as well, and having to relearn the weapon multiple times after drastic changes is quite frustrating. Just my thoughts.

40° rotation clamp is non-viable for combat.

  1. 360s were only ever done for style points
  • It’d be like adding rotation clamp in CSGO because of “360 no scope mlg gamer” clips
  1. Flicks can’t hit unless you’re in melee range
  • Sword is melee
  • AKA, flicks can’t hit people not in melee range
  1. Visually tracking movement is impossible
  • Someone moved? Too bad, you literally can’t even turn around to see where they went
  1. Flicking is literally required to land hits
    • 40° makes landing hits impossible if they take even a single step to the side, let alone vs Light
  • It also makes it impossible to flick to land quick melees literally required for breakpoints
  1. Flicking is literally required to survive
  • A Light stuck moving in a line directly at the enemy while unable to even turn is a free kill
  • Sword needs to be able to approach enemies at angles that aren’t “straight ahead”
  1. This kills skill expression
  • Turning secondary attack into “Literally never worth using except for map movement” and making Sword a “Spam M1 until they die” weapon is as dead as skill expression can be

Cashball is fun and I would like to see it incorporated into the game in a permanent, expanded format.
It reminds me of bombing run in Unreal Tournament 2004. I think there's lots of potential for complex teamwork in bigger arenas with all the tools that this game has available. I also say this as a player who usually isn't very interested in the limited event gamemodes; I prefer the more well developed cashout mode in The Finals, but cashball strikes me as possibly being just as fun in a serious competitive mode. Good job to the team that designed it and I hope it stays in the game.

I don't use melee often, I dabbled with some hammer on heavy played with sword for a couple days. But looks like the dev team is alienating more and more high time-investment players with these changes. That's pretty bad, maybe cut back on the hammer dmg nerfs and communicate with a focus group of high level melee players to see how they feel.

I love having the 120-damage lunge on sword back, thank you so much Embark 👍. I do think the rotation clamp angle could be limbered up a bit though, perhaps to 160 or 180 degrees in total. I myself can live without it (I hardly used the reversal tech even when it was available), but I can see that it is punishing to have such a narrow angle. TBF though it does add a bit of (gasp!) skill expression to sword—when you die to my lunge now, you know I aimed. So…yeah, there’s my two cents (as a sword enthusiast since launch BTW)

Dash and Winch are the problem imo. With latency, by the time you realized they dashed/winch, theyre behind you, backstabbing you or hitting you with a hammer or sa12. But on your screen, you reacted and were looking at them the whole time.

how long will it take you guys at embark to realise that the heavies CQC weapon options are not the problem but the winch is? its the only spec that there is no counter to other than another winch while also completely countering mesh and charge&slam, look at ranked pick rates, look at PHL pick rates, its very clearly the only thing people use in higher elo and competitive play, this season instead of nerfing or even just fixing winch (the range on it sometimes extends past 12m and the hitbox is absolutely cooked, meaning you get winched through goo, walls and around corners) you decided to nerf the sledghammer and i can see you guys nerfing other heavy weapons instead of addressing the real issue (a common trend honestly)

The rotation clamp goes completely against the movement in the finals, it feels terrible, its implementation is terrible, and overall just leads to a terrible experience. Please remove the clamp in exchange for multi hit removal on lunge, not being able to track enemies in a pvp game is ridiculous

Ya'll as developers need to PLAY the sword at its current state and realize how BAD the camera lock/clamp is. Can't even lunge on a ZIPLINE/up or down because the camera is locked.... like what on earth is that? Very poor strategy to balance.

You literally could have just altered the damage numbers slightly upwards and the sword would have been in a decent position without it being overpowered..... Or just REMOVE multi-hit.... but this camera lock/clamp isn't the fix you were looking for. Wow. Sad.

Could you guys make it so if the system used to play the game disconnects from the internet for a second, it doesn't kick you out of the game and cancels all your progress and stats? My wifi disconnects for a second every now and then and it's a massive hassle, I'd rather my character stand still and be completely vulnerable than the game kicking me out, waiting for it to reconnect, breaking the voice chat and party.

Gotta say, I hate the change to overtime cash boxes in world tour.

There was genuine incentive for 3rd and 4th place teams to try and plug cashbox 6 into the overtime cashout and steal to win before. The change makes that impossible, removing the chance for 3rd and 4th place to win in games were the other teams have dominated in early game.

Also, for whatever reason, it seems like the meta play has become to plug both cashboxes into the same cashout now, possibly as a result of that change. Making the game sweatier and a lot less even handed.

I am done playing this game unless the angle lock is reverted on sword. It doesn't make it more "skill based", it just makes it so anyone who dashes or slides away to the side can freely kill you.
I would suggest keeping the damage at 120 for lunge, removing the angle lock and instead nerfing the range and cleave (slightly)

I won't lie, this new sword is not very satisfying to use!

I'm probably just not used to the changes yet and haven't found the optimal way to work around the new constraints but the new lunge feels very stunted and unsatisfying. It feels far shorter than it used to be and with the angle restrictions pressing L2 feels almost pointless at times. It's very frustrating to play with and isn't nearly as fun to toy around with in quick cash or world tour

Instead of locking the camera, the game could just stop the sword from dealing damage (or diminish damage to a percentage) if you rotate past the 40 degrees (I even think 40 degrees is not too much tolerance, could be higher). Rotating the camera helps with awareness. To make it clear to the sword player, the weapon could visibly lower once it’s out of the damage range. With this change the SWORD can NOT be used if you can NOT rotate the camera - it is UNUSABLE without that capacity. I don't care if you can't make any damage or less than full damage, just REMOVE CAMERA LOCK it is AWFUL

Like the best use for the sword is to clip people as you go past them a little so they have to turn and shoot. Now you basically crash into them locking you in front of them and if they arnt reloading or panicking you’re basically a free kill.
Like was the point to make it so the swords a in more vulnerable positions well they can already get shot every step of the way pushing teams let alone have 3ppl turn and light them up now because yall limited how sword players can move and use the sword. Like the last nerf already made it hard to use but was use able. Like swords and daggers are already have to deal with db, flame throwers, nullifiers, mines, spears, snipers, mini gun, wench claw, turrets, heal balls, pyro nades, bows, throwing knives, v9s, glitch traps, cl-40, proximity scanners, sledgehammer, mgl32, goo, lock bolts, and moving platforms. Tons of things to already avoid and get countered by even map events.

Embark, thanks for reworking the sword rmb, before it was considered "skilled" to set your mouse dpi as high as humanely possible then spam rmb on everyone and slap a free quick melee on top of it.

My feedback? Ignore their complaints. They only want to spam broken tech to effortlessly lunge behind enemies without worrying about aiming. Ask any real-life swordsman or fencer and they'll tell you thrust attacks are the riskiest because it risks getting parried or dodged if you're not timing it right. Let them express their frustrations for a while, they'll come around once they actually learn to aim.

Consider reworking the Vanish Bomb ability to add more strategic depth. Instead of granting the cloak specialization that lets the user move freely while invisible, have it create a fixed circumference (or area of effect) where players must stay to maintain the cloaking effect. This could encourage better positioning and teamwork without making the ability too overpowered.

Ability concept: Rubble Raiser

This is an idea that sort of encompasses a little of everything heavy is designed to do, something between charge and slam, winch claw, and mesh shield.

Upon ability activation, heavy enters a half second “wind-up” animation where he gets ready to rush forward. On completion, heavy lunges up to 5 meters in the direction of his crosshair, with the intent of colliding with either structure or a player.

Upon colliding with a breakable structure, heavy will rip a chunk of the wall out, bracing it as a shield. For up to ten seconds, heavy will hold it in front of him as a 500 HP barricade, blocking enemy fire from their knees to their neck. Heavy can move and aim the shield about as if he was holding up a mesh shield during this time, though their movespeed is notably reduced. If the specialization input is pressed at all during this time, heavy will throw the rubble forwards, dealing 100 damage and high structural damage to whatever it hits. The rubble has weight similar to the grav cube, meaning you can’t throw it very far.

Upon hitting an enemy, heavy will lift and immediately throw the enemy the same way they would a rubble chunk, with the same mass. Upon collision with anything, that enemy takes 100 damage. If they hit another enemy player, both take 100 damage. If they hit a breakable surface, they will break through it, taking the damage then. Enemies cannot break through more than one structure per throw. Enemies caught by the throw cannot shoot while heavy is holding them, or until they land.

This specializations short range and requirement to connect will give it decent skill requirement, but high skill expression, and significant versatility in lots of scenarios.

Because those icons are difficult to read and distinguish due to the silhouette of weapons are too similar. Especially for the fast and intense gameplay, in my case, most of the time I can't tell if it was Model 1887 or Pike-556? AKM or FCAR?

So having such Accessibility Option would help people from this. hug_friend Four or three letters should work for most weapons.

For example:

Player2 1887> Player1

I say this as someone who’s played since open beta: Exactly this, I've been playing a lot of WT recently and this does change the gameplay's chemistry quite a bit-and not in a positive way; 3rd and 4th placed teams will lose incentive to even fight towards the end since there's almost no possibility for a comeback.

I understand the change for ranked but in a casual mode like WT is 100 percent redundant; and will impact the game's chaotic niche in a not so good way, they've banked a lot on cinematic last second plays it just seems like they shot themselves at their foot by reducing that adrenaline fueled timeframe.

Even at first place.. I just love seeing that cashout bar get longer- it's such a feel good moment

At this point they should add cashout station variants that depend on what position you're in. For example, 3rd and 4th positions double the cashout but also double the time to defend. 1st and 2nd position gets half the amount, half the time. That way it's not just 1 team climbing up while others get left behind

For starters, Lights would have the longest, fastest wall-run, Mediums have a ‘medium’ wall-run, and Heavies have no wall-run, perhaps.
That’d be tough to implement though, I’m sure.

The sword feels very good now. Perhaps the clamping should be set at 50 degrees. The clamping is great though, helps the sword and lunge be what they should.
But may we see a lil buff for the dual blades? Maybe give them a slightly faster attack speed?
Just a thought.

There’s a minor issue in the game - characters can walk through each other and even stand inside one another. This breaks immersion, as you can literally see the inside of your teammate’s model.

But more importantly, there’s a major problem - stacking on top of each other during the cashout capture. One player starts capturing and then 1-2 other players position themselves inside teammate while capturing. This makes it nearly impossible for enemies to stop the capture or even select the player who’s interacting with the cashout.
This mechanic feels unfair, breaks immersion and is likely to be abused not just in regular matches, but also at the pro level.

Please add a competitive 5v5 mode or playlist. Both World Tour and Ranked are only 3v3 format and there's a lot of people that wanna play competitively with more friends.

My suggestion is to add another mode that is 5v5 cashout maybe to grind out Sapphire skins? There's red ruby and green emerald, a nice deep blue would be worth grinding for. Could even be Onyx black or Amethyst purple. A lot of people are turned off by all the 3rd partying that happens normally, there's a lot of demand for "final round" team vs team. I'm really hoping we can at least get the opportunity to try it

This might be a little crazy, but embark needs to stop listening to all of the player feedback. Case in point, the new cashout change. If you are in second place and you end up in overtime it is up to you to control the game to make sure you qualify. The best part of the Finals has always been the crazy lucky last second wins, and this change just pulls down that amazing feeling so much. It's not the game's fault you aren't able to strategize and adapt to the situation, it's you, reddit.

There's a bug in the game that has been occurring quite frequently lately in quick play modes (Quick Cash, Team Deathmatch, Powershift). When a player leaves the match, either due to being AFK or intentionally, their slot doesn't get freed up, and as a result, no new player can take their place.

Also, please create a queue specifically for solo players or do something to improve the matchmaking. It's frustrating to play several matches in a row with random teammates and constantly end up against two pre-made teams. You're at a disadvantage and unbalanced from the very start. Personally, I've started leaving matches as soon as I see I'm up against pre-made teams, it's something I just can't stand anymore.

World tour after the changes to sledge has been absolutely devastating. Sledge has a longer ttk than pretty much every weapon hitting their body shots on you, you have no range, you always fight people with insane accuracy so getting close is a feat in itself. the QM combo was the only way it could actually keep up with mediums and lights. "it’s essentially now a top three overall weapon. This has occurred at almost all skill tiers as well. This growth in effectiveness has also come with increased rates of negative sentiment from players on the receiving end of the Sledgehammer, who feel they can never compete against it at close range." ok so the melee weapon on a class with no movement, speed, and a large hitbox is good at close range? wow gee thats insane embark. lets also dive into the fact it was top 3 and you chose to nerf it into the shadow realm? "we’re also keen to ensure melee is viable in THE FINALS, so we’re cautious about changing the weapon too drastically." but you will remove a vital gameplay feature to nearly double the ttk on lights? "Following these changes, Quick Melee as a combo with the Sledgehammer should now be a sub-optimal approach, compared to simply using the Sledge’s primary and secondary attacks. As always, we’ll monitor the impact of these changes once live and adjust if necessary." why on earth would kneecapping the skill ceiling on a weapon be an acceptable change? Fix the damn matchmaking in rankeds to solo queue players. When I started this season, I just got silver 1. I reached the last round two times, I won one tournament and lost in the first round to get silver. One friend played and he lost every first match to finally get gold 2. What the hell with that?

I'm tired of losing rounds because my teammates just don't know how to play using strategy. From silver 1 I never reached gold 4, every time my teammates are leaving the game, use their coins when it's unnecessary or play as a lone wolf. I just tried, but I'm tired of playing and being a babysitter; I heal, cover, attacking side by side, attacking from behind, using gadgets for my team and not just for me

This last week was lose after lose after lose. I just hate to play solo, I don't speak English and pings are useless to low ELO players

on that note, i think it might be a good idea to improve cloaks expected usability
sometimes i cloak around the corner from an enemy, stand completely still, they run around the corner and past me, just to then turn around after a few seconds and shoot me as if i wasnt even using it
while in other matches, as soon as i activate it, a lot of people just dont react, even when sprinting

I think cloak would be in a better spot if it worked around full invisibility somehow
being fully invisible, and getting more visible the closer you are for example
or fully invisible while actives, but being unable to shoot until you decloak
something like that would help it be more consistent, and less reliant on enemy skill/graphic settings

Increase walkout time when your team is being introduced and doing emotes by 2-3 seconds, making it roughly similar in length to the victory equivalent.

Many emotes that have "crescendos" in the latter half are cut off when set as intro, as seemingly the introduction time is 5ish seconds while many emotes take 7-9 seconds to fully play out. For example, I just bought the legendary Ghostflutter emote for 500 Multibucks--where your Finalist catches a butterfly and crushes it, releasing about a dozen ghostly purple butterflies spiraling away--to serve as my intro, but my Finalist only makes it up the point of catching the butterfly. This is disappointing, as I spent a good few minutes weighing my options, just to find out the aspect that swayed my decision is not included during introductions.

Ability concept: Rubble Raiser

This is an idea that sort of encompasses a little of everything heavy is designed to do, something between charge and slam, winch claw, and mesh shield.

Upon ability activation, heavy enters a half second “wind-up” animation where he gets ready to rush forward. On completion, heavy lunges up to 5 meters in the direction of his crosshair, with the intent of colliding with either structure or a player.

Upon colliding with a breakable structure, heavy will rip a chunk of the wall out, bracing it as a shield. For up to ten seconds, heavy will hold it in front of him as a 500 HP barricade, blocking enemy fire from their knees to their neck. Heavy can move and aim the shield about as if he was holding up a mesh shield during this time, though their movespeed is notably reduced. If the specialization input is pressed at all during this time, heavy will throw the rubble forwards, dealing 100 damage and high structural damage to whatever it hits. The rubble has weight similar to the grav cube, meaning you can’t throw it very far.

Upon hitting an enemy, heavy will lift and immediately throw the enemy the same way they would a rubble chunk, with the same mass. Upon collision with anything, that enemy takes 100 damage. If they hit another enemy player, both take 100 damage. If they hit a breakable surface, they will break through it, taking the damage then. Enemies cannot break through more than one structure per throw. Enemies caught by the throw cannot shoot while heavy is holding them, or until they land.

This specializations short range and requirement to connect will give it decent skill requirement, but high skill expression, and significant versatility in lots of scenarios.

If you can upload your own designed png images and this can be game changer and players would start using it I'm sure.   • Rework Nulifier (again) : When you get it by the "Taser" recoil is increased but you can still move as you want & you take 5 dmg/sec by the electricity during 3 sec. Can hit multiple target when you shoot.
  • Increase the hip fire the CB01-Repeater
  • Rework Vanish Bomb. Make it start regen instant. It will increase survability for the Light & it can be use for your teammates too !
  • Reduce the radius of the reflect of the Dual Blade or let us shoot in the feet or something else to let us counter DB when you got an AR like Riot Shield.
  • Nerf the range of the KS23. You can put 100 dmg at 20m.
  • Nerf PIKE to 48 dmg instead of 50 dmg.
  • Rework defib: Reduce the cooldown reset to 5s and give 100HP instead of 50% of your HP. It will force Medium to revive safer !
  • Winch & lockbolt shouldn't do 5 damages. It's already strong enough
  • Rework the ARN into a real AR ? Slower RPM but much more DMG. Something like the FCAR for example.

The effort to play Light correctly is too damn high compared to Medium & Heavy class. There is no fun at all playing Light. When will we see a META with Light ?
Share with us your data on all class. Light are getting vanish by 80% of the weapons in your game and can't get a proper 1v1 without get instant kill. You destroyed the stun gun. You destroyed the XP54. Everyone viable weapons or gadget has been destroyed by other class because they can't track properly an other class with 150HP.

  • Improve your netcode/tickrate ! Dying behind walls is not acceptable at all ! Dash is not viable because of this right now !

So after playing with sword the clamp on the lunge is too restrictive, it’s just way too punishing for even minor misalignment. If it allowed you to turn up to like 80, 100 degrees (I don’t know an exact number) that would be nice. It would also be cool if beyond that 80 or 100 degree range you can still turn but the hitbox goes away, so you can still turn around but can’t hit enemies with it

Sword camera clamp is WAY too restrictive. Sword can't challenge anyone even on zipline because there's no way to look up or down to do damage during lunge. Not asking for 360 degrees of rotation, but at least give lunge 90 degrees for turns.

Also, matchmaking and team spawns are god awful since S6. Plats and under should NOT be matchmade with Rubies unless they're squaded up with Diamonds or higher. The range of matchmaking should be less. Perhaps players should only be matched up with others 2 tiers above or below their own rank (For example, if a player is Plat 2, the extent of those they're paired with is only Plat 4 to Diamond 4, etc.). Right now, the game is literally just manipulated by rubies, even after the rule changes.

Some in this server insulting me because i say i go for steal, succeed. Mates are still fighting the other side of the map, they just wait for me to die, loose the point, forced to Retake, but fail, than put ALL the shet on me because "oooh normally we don't steal the point when enemies alive ? Like they never seen smoke-steal. I don't even need to shoot a single bullet to win, we just need to steal and keep the goddam point (fight only when necessary). Absolutely horrible change making the final cash box disappear at end of regulation time.
There have been moments in the past in this game where a given match can feel "unwinnable," but this is just downright stupid where the final minute is now useless game time.

Every game in this scenario ends with teammates literally not moving/not playing.

The whole point of incrementally increasing cash box value has always been to allow the staging of a comeback. One $22k box is worth more than two $10k boxes.

Horrible change. We end up sitting around doing nothing. Boring. Useless. Unfun.

"But, but second-place team also got two cashouts already and deserves to qualify more!!" False. The only safe team is the team in first; and even then if two finals cashouts are active, first is not safe either. Everyone else should be in fight mode always.

I do not care who did well during the start of the match or the middle of the match.

In the goal of stopping first-place team from influencing the progression of other teams, this too was a failure:

I just played a match where the two bottom teams had sub-$5k and the top two teams had over $35k. Yet still the top team was able to force influence in the final 30sec, running both boxes while everyone else was wiped and double-stuffing to cause chaos then allowing our team on purpose to make it up into qual.

Also Blitz Ball, great idea, love it, but bad execution, Light is OP, too easy to score, can't build defences (Light removes them instantly from other side of map), so I would say potentially 10/10, now, 4/10.

You can literally spam goals while others are engaged in (kinda pontless) melee, pick up ball middle and dash and throw in, that is it, it is stupid design, imo. This is due to bad map design, goals are too open, very very hard to protect, goo is wonky to deploy, barricades do literally nothing (they don't cover goal, and it is a melee mode... Barricade? Bubble has to be perfectly delpoyed, and Light can just remove all the defences from range, with incendiary.
Light has everything, OP movement, instant destruction of your hard to build defences, glitch grenade, and nullifyer whish is insane in defence.
Medium has winch, which can be usefull, but that is it. Why play medium, since Light has it all? You don't need jump pads or ropes, just play Light, you can remove goo too, stop ball carrier with ease, it is insane how overtuned that class is in this mode.
Heavy is almost pointless, outside of Lockbolt.
Feels rushed, imo.

How to improve; Remove incendiary from Light = You can build fortifications, and Sledge and CnS actually have some use then (Heavy is useless as it is). Maybe give smoke or something for L instead.
Also replace dash with Grapple, waaaay too good in that mode.

I hope you tweak it next patch, since potentially this mode is super fun, or when it returns. It just needs tweaking, but as it is now, this ain't it, Scotty.

EDIT: For the wheel, nice, I see it as free rewards, nothing to complain there, not sure why some people complain about it...

Embark I have said this every time you buff KS-23: no matter what you do to that gun it will never be competitive until you’ve buffed it too far and it becomes a mandatory pick for everyone because it’s too good. This recent buff didn’t change a thing. It’s still bad. Please for the love of god bring back winch canceling the rechamber animation. Charge and mesh both still cancel it so this is literally an inconsistency in your design and it’s also the only thing that made ks-23 competitive even before all of these buffs. When everyone solo queues with light it’s just not going to be able to compete without having the winch to get you at least one guaranteed shot off. But now any time you try to winch mid combat you likely were already shooting so you get stuck with the stupid rechamber animation again.

I’m not only mad about ks-23 but you also seem to want to remove viability from every fun/unique weapon in the game and I just can’t wrap my head around this. I see nothing but heavy shaq-50/M60, medium fcar/famas, and light xp/m11 and it’s because NOTHING ELSE IS GOOD ANYMORE. I’m sick of every game turning out exactly the same and if I want to use something fun then I’m just immediately put at a disadvantage for doing so. I really hope you reconsider your design direction on this.

And to go back to where I started, I just want ks-23 winch to be half of what it use to be embark. Please bring back the rechamber cancel 😢

Please buff the Data Reshaper, it is literally impossible to use now as a defensive item, you can't morph more than two items into a poison or flame barrel before you get a team on you, and once a team is attacking your gadget is empty, and will take forever to reload, to top it all off with these healing pods added to the Reshapers rotation, it's even harder to get the item you want, please let the Data Reshaper right click, so you can cycle forwards and backwards. Even as an offensive item it is still severely lacking. The most balanced gadget in the game has been nerfed into something completely unusable.

Kinda upset about Defib getting Nerfed if we are to keep it at the rate of 1 sec to defib and want us to do it in a safe place then the player should come back with more health due to that fact that people can run in after you and still one shot someone that's coming back its brutal for that revive as it is anyways, even if you run healing beam that leaves you defenseless and allows 2 free kills for enemy team healing beam cannot heal fast enough to justify having this nerf done to defib, I've been playing Defib since day one and its finally gotten to the point where its not really worth it anymore, I can feel a massive difference in healing someone with it for those who haven't used it for long or that much .2 is a lot especially for a game that is this high paced. I think there for sure should be more personal and opinionated contestant voicelines, but I really wouldn't go that far. I think it would be a great dichotomy for the contestants to be just a little less filtered than the announcers.

One of my favorite lines in the game is "I hate this thing!" Which has a chance to play when getting hit by a lockbolt. It's not a particularly clever voiceline, but it does stand out from the mostly impersonal and dry utilitarian lines by just being something you would actually expect somebody to say when being stuck to the ground.

even the "funny" ones (i.e. "somebody call for a doctor?", "flashy flashy!", "mind the mine.", etc.) Are mostly very inoffensive, and while it wouldn't make sense to have contestants swear like sailors in the arena like this person is suggesting, I think adding more sponsor safe cheers and jeers would give the contestants a little personality where they sorely lack it despite being the stars of the show.

Winch Claw Ideas: After playing Super Cashball(Which is awesome), I have come to the conclusion that medium should have a version of winch claw. My idea is to separate the winch claw into 2 versions. The heavy winch claw, which is just the one currently on heavy, maybe tweak it a little, and the medium winch claw. The medium winch claw would have less range, speed, and a lot less power for pulling large objects, cashouts, and heavy players. But it would make medium melees a lot more viable and would be a great utility option. It would also possibly make demat not the best option all the time. Also make the heavy winch claw a little better at pulling large pieces of ruble and large boxes.

Defib/Nullifier Ideas: Remove revive sickness for specializations but leave it for gadgets. The sickness is way too punishing for light players since they rely on their specializations for survival way more than the other classes. My other idea is that the nullifier should be able to cancel someone getting revived by defibs. This would make the nullifier a lot more useful. The nullifier's cooldown should be at least two times longer if you use it to shut down a defib.

Hello, some feedback here, I feel that the big box arena is not the best. After playing it many times I’ve seen that It doesn’t match the actual in game layout and is vary basic which means a lot of situations in the games can’t be practiced here.

big box match should have a actual arena look and layout with an open space, corridors, and building levels.

in big box match only weapons that can kill fast work well, but weapons that need more time and fines to kill like a sniper or dagger are at a disadvantage due to the layout.

I think a remodel is most sensible going forward, the arena can be split into 2 or 4 quadrants each with a different type of layout that is seen in the games.

Please embark, I think this is a good push towards better practice for all players. Thank you for reading

  1. Increase the angle. Simple, but really depends on how much you’re willing to give

  2. Remove multihit. Works, but kinda sad.

I’m experiencing extremely high ping (200ms+) and constant lag while playing The Finals from India. I’ve confirmed through ExitLag and packet tracing that the game keeps routing me through a Dammam server (IP: 34.166.89.87) — even when I manually choose a direct EU route like Frankfurt.

This indirect routing to Dammam is making the game nearly unplayable, and I suspect it's a misconfiguration or automatic server assignment that doesn’t work well for Indian players.

I kindly request that:

You please look into this routing issue for South Asian players.

Allow manual region/server selection to bypass unwanted Middle East nodes.

Consider providing direct EU routing options or regional optimization for Indian networks.

I would love to like the super cashball mode but everyone I get matched with is a smooth brain and we just get rolled every match. compared to previous LTMs this one actually seems like some thought went behind it and there can be some fun moments, but team mates just going strictly for kills and people constantly throwing the ball clear across the field to the enemies just to get it away from the goal really sucks the fun out of it. I hope this mode gathers enough data for winch and melee to make them not feel terrible to use and to be on the receiving end, im still getting killed by hammers from 20 feet away.

While I think it's a good idea, the current version of Cashball is really under baked, unbalanced, and an afterthought. One of the biggest issues is that this game (The Finals) really underperforms at a competitive level in close quarters and melee hit and hurt registration, due to the high tick rate and server side physics. This mode would need no environment damage, a higher tick rate, and no HP or kills, but rather just knockbacks (and causing people to drop the ball). Then it would need to give the ball to the team that got scored on and reset players starting positions. Right now, the team that scores has the upper hand on getting the ball again and scoring again because they already have established zone presence past the half/midfield. Also, the throw physics needs to be more deterministic and accurate, and the throwing distance needs to be reduced for all players, because with enough practice in a private match, you can get good at consistently shooting from certain spots from way downtown, which cheapens the game since it's not particularly easy to goaltend.

Snipers NEED to get flinched. NO FUCKING GAME has snipers ADS for however long they want to align their shot without any consequences. It's literally the most overused and annoying weapon in casuals, especially in powershift. Why should a fucking 0.9 rat sit across the map and ruin people's engagement without any consequences? I'm strictly talking casual since this shit has no place in high elo for a reason, IT'S A WEAPON MEANT FOR ROLE PLAYING RODENTS. Add flinch to it, and let's see how good of an aim they truly have. I'm begging you, it kills any kind of fun for casuals. Shits more toxic than og stuns. It should DEFINITELY have flinch and reduce the mag, cause right now it's such a low-risk, high-reward weapon.

As a Med main, please gut the GL. Another golden gun for 0.9s that fires away while drooling in a cup. I honestly don't give two fucks about “WeLl ThEy NeEd To bE In RaNGE”. It's brain-dead easy to use, and it's a plague in low elo.

Why are you guys so dedicated to scaring away new players? You did the same shit with the stuns and C4/barrel nukes and left them for so long that the population still can't recover from it. Tune things that destroy low-elo, cause it's not healthy. Your overpriced cosmetics will not save or grow your game, so why??? I'm genuinely baffled how devs turn a blind eye to this shit for months. Still hoping dagger gets back it's backstab against goo, I personally don't care a whole lot about turret but ig that would be cool

I agree with you, Sledge USED TO BE the MOST balanced weapon in the game, and WAS the one of, if not, the most fun. Now it its just not fun in the normal game. The problem with it was never sledge, but winch claw(which needs a rework imo, as its not fun player v player). Embark really needs to lose their data-driver approach, and balance for what makes the game FUN, balance team should have core of players who play both casual and competitive, as atm balancing for competitive has just left the game less unque and more boring. The balancing from knee-jerk player requests from reddit/twitch tend to never address the issue and/or go overboard.

I would also love a revert to damage however, we now wont get another melee balance update for awhile, since they just "buffed" them, when in reality it was just a large quality of life patch for every melee except Sword. Their in an excellent position for rapid iteration, however never take advantage of how The Finals is a live-service and instead of testing a bunch of change to make something better quickly, especially with the LTMs, they tend to just leave controversial change for months on end.

I have to swap to CL40 in order to counter play it because if you're too far, they just hold right click and you have to approach but wait a second! you can't! Melee players complained when they already had it.

I am very much aware that dualblades did not get a damage buff and yes riot shield has always had full damage negation. I have tried seeing how much damage is dealt when hitting the shield and its nothing. If it is something, then the game does a poor job of showing the HP bar when you ARE hitting the shield. I don't care if all they got is a range buff, its a buff when they already worked. People just complained cuz they suck.

I feel Embark is making more and more poor decisions that annoy players and don't fix long standing issues. Which is a shame since this game has crazy potential. But they made it too niche and not very solo friendly, combined with the feeling they're downsizing with less fixes and balance changes.

Ps. About Sword. If you need to change your playstyle and loadout just cuz a certain weapon is in the lobby - that weapon is unbalanced. I feel sword is back to that. Had a game where a player just flew around and went 25-0 basically.

I honestly don’t understand how closing the distance is such an issue for players in here (except for places like Seoul hospital that should be removed from the game). 90% of the fights that have any meaning happen in buildings in cqc (before everyone starts saying “well in high elo…” this happens in ruby matches as well and I have been playing since OB so I have experience ). If getting close to the enemy is so hard and “skillful” why has the db been meta for lights since the beginning of the game?

Secondly how powerful do you guys want melee to be? Do you guys want it to oneshot every class because “I got close to them”?
Dagger should be removed from the game until they fix the desync issues (yes the nerfs and buffs don’t mean anything until Embark fixes them),
sword has always been a chore to fight but now instead of M2 being meta now it’s M1 and throughout my 800 hours I have never seen anyone tracking a sword user dashing through them successfully (maybe four time max) so if your response is “well high elo players beam them without any issues” then those lights are garbage.
Medium’s melee weapons should be removed from the game because they are nothing more than annoyances. You can’t shoot them from range and if they get close as a light you just dash behind them or run away as a medium without the cl40 (which is another really fun weapon to fight against) you need to run away because once again there is no point in shooting them and heavy has 20 different means of overpowering them so they are no threat to them.
Heavy’s melee options are still the same even after the nerfs so I don’t understand the crying about the sledge nerf. Just goo lock your target (phenomenal skill expression always impressed when a player can just spam M1 and I can’t do anything about it), winch them (don’t worry if you miss you can still hit them with it or get it back with a reduced cooldown because we don’t need to punish players), lockbolt them or charge them.

Winch Claw needs a nerf.
This specialization is by far the most popular and strongest among all heavies. It’s extremely versatile and comes with virtually no downsides.

Missing with it is almost impossible.
The range needs to be reduced, and there should be more skill expression — either by slowing down the throw speed or reducing the grab hitbox.
Right now, Winch is just too easy and too effective.

Once a cashout start, close range weapons gain massive advantage on the defense side. Think about the rule of this game, what u gonna do from 30-40m over there when in order to win, everything boils down to getting close and personal and dirty and u gotta french kiss that cashout for 6-7 sec. Players have to get close anyway, even when they know the winch sledge H or the L db lurking ready to 2 tap yo ass once u commit to the steal.

Reality is, and all high elo player base can vouch for this: Game is won by close range encounter, mostly in the range of 5 - 15m (except for some very rare cashout spawn). We talking sword dash, cerb, revolver headshot hipfire, DB, uzi, SA12, shak50, winch+sledge, etc... with goo, and debris, and smoke, visual impairment and even more stuffs that deny long angles.

My point is: due to the rule of the main gamemode and the abundant movement options, close range actually have a built in advantage, which is people are forced to get into their range if everyone play the cashout (to win). Instead of nerfing melee and killing the unique identity of this game, i propose this. People feel unfair when they get evaporated near instantly when they have to enter a duel with a melee/close range weapon (which happens easily and more often than not). If balance melee too hard, why not balance everything else and add a damage bonus at point blank range for all range weapon to level the playfield? Something in the realm of +1-3 dmg per shot inside 5m range for example, and outside of that range all weapons behave normally like they always do. And the db and melee and sledge can have their 1s ttk/instant kill. Everyone happy cause now everything turns into a player-deleter within that sweet 5m range.

Turn that into a sponsor week, see how well it works.

I dont think its the strongest, it lacks the utility and denial of goo gun, the damage and destruction of charge n slam and the uselessness of mesh shield.

I dont think its necessarily the strongest strenght wise either, but holy crap if it isnt incredibly unhealthy in all regards, its no skill, no counter play instant stun and free damage. I think it needs an entire rework.

I think it'd be cool if they made it have

  • only a few second recharge (maybe even no recharge)
  • more damage and more range
    but in exchange it would
  • simply pull players towards you in a similar fashion to how it works with cashouts
  • the stun could be heavily shortened or even removed, instead of complete immobilization it would only prevent attacking for like a second.
  • the hitbox could be made smaller and more precise
  • The pull on a cash box reduced cause it'd be so spammable

This way it would gain a lot more utility, you could use it to move contest trophies/debree/carriables without the fear of a massive cooldown.

Another out there idea would be to make it so it can also be attached to walls by holding it down, letting you swing on ceilings or build up momentum with falling velocity for example. It'd be a movement option for heavies without actually giving them a "Press X to get a boost in Y direction" (ie. jump pad/dash)

You guys have destroyed sword I preferred sword prior to this “buff” it’s feels So janky and horrible to uses. Sword did not need any nurfs or buffs in the first place. Your lead melee weapon designer needs to be fired they keep making horrible decisions that nearly no one agrees with. Also having two separate weapon designers it can lead to harsher treat meant of melee or range which we have seen many times. Also if you compare sword or other melee weapons to ranged ones there is a massive difference in how strong they are melee are consistently weaker. Sword needs a buff. Lung happens 100% of the time off ground or in air. Because now if you get lung stalled because you were a inch off the ground leaves you no way to turn and change direction. Like i’m on controller and max my sens for the fact some times you need to turn. Spear: increase the first swing damage in the combo from 65 to 70 and the last one from 90 to 95 making it 70, 80, 95 and increase the spin attack damage to 120, it needs to kill a heavy with 3 hits because

Reason #1: you're vulnerable to being shot and killed during the animation

remove the sword angle clamp it killed skill expression on sword, the freedom of fluid movement is what made sword enjoyable and now it’s main purpose is to spam basic attacks like a bot, you need to be able to track targets as you lunge past them, if multi hit is that big of an issue you think (it really isn’t) then remove it or add diminishing damage per target (ex: 120-100-90) also removing superdash ?? and the ability to change direction with a dash ?? another shot in the leg to the skill expression and movement, like how is superdash overpowered it requires you to be within range, use 1/3 of your dashes, land the swing, and then survive long enough to finish off the target and save a dash to escape,it’s been in the game 7 seasons now, i know they were trying to buff the lunge movement to make up for it but at this point just revert the the weapon please it feels beyond clunky and counter intuitive with the clamp, everybody who says the change is good doesn’t play sword enough or are just straight up lying because sword community hate (they usually say it’s a skillless weapon despite only playing it once in quick cash & barely going positive)

Please add a competitive 5v5 mode or playlist. Both World Tour and Ranked are only 3v3 format and there's a lot of people that wanna play competitively with more friends.

Mode Ideas:

  • Team queue mode, utilizing clubs more and incentivizing people to make new friends and group up. Perhaps the rank of this mode is tied to your club, and any full stack of club members can contribute to progressing it similar to a World Tour kind of progression system.
  • Open queue to anyone like ranked but as 5v5, team vs team. Either final round or bracket style.
  • Experimenting with something like Powershift as one of those modes, it's a chance for people that prefer those modes to be competitive as well.

You are tripping, as a ruby player, even tho there ofc gonna be many close fights, if your team is communicated using ranged weapons and having good aim makes it so that other teams can’t even get close from spawn to cash out without atleast 1 dying and then getting pushed for a team wipe. Actually, long range weapons are the strongest right now, with famas, pyke, 93R dominating the meta. Only class that is weak at range rn is heavy if they don’t use deagles.

Crop-tops!! More clothing options and stuff, I think it's lacking. I personally am a huge fan of how the female characters have 0 sexualization, but in my eyes, crop-tops and similar clothes wouldn't be "sexualization" and would just add more clothing options. I think a lot less customization-limits would make the game a lot more interesting, and I think there are a lot of items that aren't compatible that should be!

On a more gameplay related note, I think the m11 needs a nerf, and the melee weapons need to be re-balanced; light's in general are extremely difficult to counter (at-least from what I've seen) and either heavy/medium need weapon buffs, or light needs to be heavily re-balanced. The game feels really un-balanced in many ways, especially the weapons. I've posted something similar before -- the weapons feel too "different" from eachother. I often have to switch to light and use the exact weapons I hate just to counter them. (e.g., (L) db, (M) dual blades, (L) sword, (M) (a weapon I personally enjoy, but needs some kind of nerf) riot shield -- and unfortunately, the list goes on.)

I also believe heavy speed should be ever so slightly slowed. I understand why that sounds crazy, but it is pretty annoying to get chased by a heavy sledgehammer and not be able to back off without getting chased extremely closely. There's almost no escape if you're not fully equipped and on your toes, ready to handle it.

  • The finals has high sever tick rates because of heavy server side physics calculations, especially for destruction. This makes melee and close quarters combat janky, which is the entirety of Cashball
  • Cashball would be better with knockbacks instead of deaths
  • throwing physics are weird, throws are too inaccurate, and throws are too long distance. We need more consistency and accuracy, and less ability to score from way downtown.
  • after a point, both teams should instantly respawn in their respective zone and the team that got scored on should get the ball

Topic: Melee Balance – Heavy's Hammer & Spear

Feedback:

I’m really not sure what the thought process was behind nerfing the Heavy’s hammer. It honestly feels like the fun is being taken out of the game instead of actual problems being fixed. The hammer didn’t need a nerf—it was one of the few melee weapons that actually felt good to use.

If the problem was the **Winch Claw **(which is a Heavy-only tool), then that’s what should’ve been adjusted. It was clearly busted and needed a fix. But nerfing the hammer after dealing with that just makes going melee as a Heavy feel totally pointless now. Melee is already high-risk, high-reward—but at this point, there’s barely any reward left.

Also, can we talk about the Heavy’s spear? It’s been bad since Season 3 and still hasn’t been touched. It sucks seeing it sit there patch after patch while nothing changes (we'll except range buff which is grateful but it still sucks). Waiting months just for minor balance tweaks really wears you down as a player.

With the current state of the game and how many nerfs feel unnecessary, I think I’m just gonna step away for a while. It honestly doesn’t feel like player feedback is being listened to anymore.

1.Winch range is too great. It should not hit on the way back, makes no sense, how can it grab. It's like a stun gun 100+ dmg free unless 1 hp. It can pull into enemy team. It can move objects especially cashouts into the open so it's super hard to steal. Stun gun was removed because it often "guaranteed a kill", yet the winch does the same. + all the listed abilities it is too strong. 2.CL40 is too strong, dmg you could say is okay (100dmg I think a bit too high). It can move cashouts (push them off sth for ex) and flick away trophies so you can't revive. It instantly destroys most gadgets (mines, sensors) and turrets etc. very fast. It does immense building dmg, destroying the structure under or around you very fast so you fall or lose cover (everything destroyed is very annoying). It's also splash dmg so you can hit behind cover, over things or multiple people. So same problem here, too strong with all the added benefits and a pita. 3.Akimbo is too precise, makes no sense as you are holding two pistols without aiming in down sight/through scope, every game makes akimbo weapons unprecise for a reason, you usually get the added benefit of shooting faster and having lots of total bullets (maybe add some). 4.Pike 50 dmg little too high imo. 5.Demat is way too strong, poof wall gone and back again (player disappears to flee). it can make others fall into the team easily. It can provide an instant window to shoot through (infinite angles). It is very strong at following players that are vulnerable as you cut through the wall. It has the mega strong ability of dropping a cash, then you flee/drop it on a pad to fling it/deploy gas mines, makes it frustrating for the enemy team stealing and you waste a lot of time with this. It can usually with the help of a winch or pad, easily fling the cash away to an easy spot. It can create a hole for enemies to fall into as a defensive move. 6.Same spawns are ruining matches as you easily camp them, worst in the final round. 7. LAG

Just look, and tell me how it's not a backstab. (also the buff that dagger got emphasizes a playstyle that is opposite of what the dagger is meant to do. Sooooo... that too) Anyways please make dagger better(like in an actually good way) please. Better speed while charging the dagger would be nice, considering it's slower than a heavy sprinting. An increase to the backstab angle would be nice, back to 180 or 170 would put it in a good spot again. Quick thoughts:

  • Please increase quick cash $ amount, it takes a ridiculous amount of time to complete "earn 1M" quests or even the daily "get 50k" for players that like this game mode most.
  • Also, I find the weapon-level skins a little bit underwhelming. I feel like those should reward players that take the time to master specific weapons more.

Sword: I like the concept but not the implementation.
I think it'd be better if the damage was dependent on the angle between view and momentum.
So the further you look away from the direction of your momentum, the less damage it does.

So if you're looking straight in the direction of your momentum, it does full damage, and for each degree away from your momentum vector, it does 1 less damage.

So by 90° away from the momentum vector, it's doing 90 less damage.

Then it doesn't lock your movement in place, but still stops the 360° damage. A movement build should never have a hard lock on movement.

The new destruction mechanics are a little over the top. When I play TDM, half the time the whole map becomes rubble now and it's very difficult to navigate. Ok here we are again, new season same issue. Reduced amount of xp on event, no xp for the game event no fans as well. I am paying 30$ now for battle pass let me have my reward aand stop redusing XP here and there. Insane that you only got it to the proper level and now twealing once more. Please let casuals have their rewards and not sweat 3-4 hour a day to make it in time for the next season. For those who are buying battle pass each season its the same thing. you pay and then you just log in everydday cause you need to make all the daily if you are playing few weeks a day if you want to get everything. Previous event was great and provided p[roper xp, not this. Event is great but for me playing few hours a week its a waste of time.

Embark are useless. Many of us are quitting the game because of the stupid decisions they make. It's getting worse, and they still haven't removed the Cl-40 from the game. They're truly a group of useless incompetents who don't want to see the game flourish. Many new players stop playing when they find themselves with the Cl-40 and other broken weapons.

Add accessibility setting to toggle invisibility in the game on or off. For a few of us it's hard to see players while they are invisible, so I think we should be able to toggle on a setting that allows us to see them as they are normally while they're under the effects of invisibility cloak or grenade.

Currently working my way up the leaderboard for Powershift noticed a huge issue with spawn camping, matchmaking, and in game coms.

More experienced players and squads know the spawn points. People have been waiting near spawn points and not pushing the platform and just going for kills. Takes away from the objective gameplay. Squads… matchmaking has to be the worst it has been, I was teamed with 9 squads back to back out of the 9 I was put in a squad of 4 twice. There is a huge advantage when running with a full team. In game coms don’t register correctly since the objective pings and dead team pings overlap each other, when zip lining and trying to ping something else it pings the zip line.

For the past two weeks ive struggled to get more than 5. Starting to hate the game. I just came from a match, 1 kill and 8 deaths and 3 of those deaths was someone on their very first game. Performance is a big issue in this game and it seems to get worse and worse with every new seasonal update since season 3 especially with the newer maps. I used to be able to run this game at 120 fps when I played it almost everyday between seasons 1-3 on medium to high graphics, and now I have barely been able to reach 90 fps on some of the from season 1 and can't go beyond 70 in any of the other maps at the lowest possible at 50% render resolution.

Another issue I have is how the game decides who gets the kill and who gets the assist. There have been plenty of times where an enemy has been at a sliver of health and it has been clear who has done the majority of damage. More than half the time I have been in gunfights with a player and have taken out nearly all of their health just to have some light teammate with a grappling hook swoop in to get the last shot on them and it counts as a kill for them and an assist for me, and it pisses me off so much when I am trying to do kill objective challenges. I feel like this could be solved with some sort of "assist counted as kill" mechanic where for example you do something like 70% of the damage, your assist will count as a kill while also allowing your teammate to get the kill too.

It will be a hand emote for the left hand (As every other hand emote) which tosses a coin (With a very satisfaction sound effect, like the ULTRAKILL's one) and then grab it in the air and the emote finishes

Can you put the gadget max ranges/duration/damage/etc numbers in their descriptions somehwere? Not just bars like the weapons have, which isn't very specific either. For example, it doesn't feel great that I had to go to the wiki to see the max range of the Gateway before it gets canceled.

Can we get a refuse revive feature? If nothing else, at least enable that button when someone outside of your group is reviving you. And disable the player from interacting with your corpse for maybe ~15 seconds. I understand this can be abused by AFK'ers to some extent, but at least in QP please.

  1. the lunge isn't going to land against good players because of camera clamp
  2. even if it does land you aren't going to be able to follow up with quick melee because of camera clamp
  3. you're now in a bad position because of camera clamp making the spot you lunge to extremely predictable
  4. you can't catch anyone slightly below or slightly above you (literally stairs or someone's feet as they go up a zip) because of camera clamp
  5. good luck walking up to someone and M1ing them to death in mid to high ranked

Increase the skill to effectively use the Lockbolt Launcher:
Decrease the lock on range
Increase the max pull distance of the person locked by ~0.75 meters
Make the bolt slowly reel the target to it by 1 meter over the time locked -0.5 second.
Decrease the duration someone is locked to the bolt by 0.5 to 1 second
Decrease the pull strength by a small amount

How to fix the nerf this would cause:
Decrease the cooldown time of the lockbolt by 2.5-5 seconds
Reload speed buff by a couple hundred milliseconds

General ideas for the game:
Arena throwable skins
Variants to pre-existing weapons/gadgets/specializations, like dual V9S', or a fire spewing turret
Jetpack for medium, or K. Rool type helicopter for heavy
Repair tool gadget for medium
Wall reinforcer for heavy
Sword, and shield skin for riot shield
Change spear secondary attack to a slow moving projectile spear throw with 120 body damage, and plus a bleed/coin bleed effect for headshots, but you have to pick the spear back up to use it again
Bring back recon senses, but balance it a bit more
Bring back night vision (I'm not sure why it was removed though)
A stim as a gadget for every class - 2 charges, quick cooldown, small speed boost, instant 10-25 health, 10% damage reduction, and speed boost for 1-2 seconds, messes up recoil slightly

Winch Claw Ideas: After playing Super Cashball(Which is awesome), I have come to the conclusion that medium should have a version of winch claw. My idea is to separate the winch claw into 2 versions. The heavy winch claw, which is just the one currently on heavy, maybe tweak it a little, and the medium winch claw. The medium winch claw would have less range, speed, and a lot less power for pulling large objects, cashouts, and heavy players. But it would make medium melees a lot more viable and would be a great utility option. It would also possibly make demat not the best option all the time. Also make the heavy winch claw a little better at pulling large pieces of ruble and large boxes.

Defib/Nullifier Ideas: Remove revive sickness for specializations but leave it for gadgets. The sickness is way too punishing for light players since they rely on their specializations for survival way more than the other classes. My other idea is that the nullifier should be able to cancel someone getting revived by defibs. This would make the nullifier a lot more useful. The nullifier's cooldown should be at least two times longer if you use it to shut down a defib. While be nullified you should also regen slower.

Just did a test with minigun vs light smg (M11). Minigun, you have to charge up, then it kills a full medium in 2.5 seconds. Light smg theres no charge and immediately killed in 2 seconds, not to mention you can then just grapple out of the fight or dash out super fast AND the range the light smg has is so stupid and far. The light smg is fucked up and unfair. Heavys dont have enough health to deal with this overpowered weapon either.

Revolver needs a complete rework i stg. Its damage is not NEARLY as much as it should be and the accuracy is dookie ass feces. With the amount of work you put in aiming there should be SOME more damage, or vice versa make the accuracy better, so hard to land hits with barely any reward.

Riot Shield is far too overpowered in its current form.

The Finals class & weapons systems, at their core, are balanced in such a way that RISK IS ASSOCIATED WITH REWARD. I believe this philosophy should also be considered with the Riot Shield, but it’s not.

  • Light: low health (risk), high damage & movement (reward)
  • Medium: average all around
  • Heavy: slow movement, low damage compared to the other classes (risk), high health and support (reward)

The problem with the Riot Shield is that it essentially requires low risk, but yields high reward. There are too few counters to it. In almost every encounter my team has had with a Riot Shield user, we HAVE to focus on that player while the other two opponents can pick us off without a gunfight. It’s gotten to the point where focusing the Riot Shield user first is a REQUIREMENT, not an option. This is unfair game balance and changes should be made to the Riot Shield or it should be removed entirely.

A solution I propose is reducing the length of the Riot Shield to just above the players knees, allowing for the users legs to be shot. Games like Call of Duty and Battlefield have a riot shield, but its length only reaches to around the knee area. This creates a balance, as the Riot Shield user has to sacrifice movement speed (via crouching) to not be shot in the legs, while offering the other team an additional way to counter the Riot Shield.

remove the sword angle clamp it killed skill expression on sword, the freedom of fluid movement is what made sword enjoyable and now it’s main purpose is to spam basic attacks like a bot, you need to be able to track targets as you lunge past them, if multi hit is that big of an issue you think (it really isn’t) then remove it or add diminishing damage per target (ex: 120-100-90) also removing superdash ?? and the ability to change direction with a dash ?? another shot in the leg to the skill expression and movement, like how is superdash overpowered it requires you to be within range, use 1/3 of your dashes, land the swing, and then survive long enough to finish off the target and save a dash to escape,it’s been in the game 7 seasons now, i know they were trying to buff the lunge movement to make up for it but at this point just revert the the weapon please it feels beyond clunky and counter intuitive with the clamp, everybody who says the change is good doesn’t play sword enough or are just straight up lying because sword community hate (they usually say it’s a skillless weapon despite only playing it once in quick cash & barely going positive)

at the moment sword is just about left clicking people till they die. Boring
remove the rotation clamping, buff the lunge damage back to 140 and remove multi hit, which is the actual issue. Spinning doesn't matter when you can just hit one person anyway.
the rotation clamping is the most baffling decision embark has ever made. It feels like absolute garbage and breaks any lunge that doesn't point at the horizon and makes it super easy to dodge.

also a half assed change is not going to fix this. Either fully remove clamping or change it to allow the entire frontal hemisphere.

Although, I’m guaranteed more wins it already predicates the 2 teams that’ll win the round mid game while removing any incentive for the lower 2 to keep fighting until the match is over- making it worse for solo ques.

It’s also just removes the tact and comeback niche you guys push as well… I want my games with tact and chaos from start to finish; you guys had that on lock

My suggestion to appease folks is maybe remove it from WT entirely- and keep the change in rank (or at least keep it in higher elo)

Rotation aim was mainly for maximizing multi-hits. If that’s the problem, then just remove multi-hit and restore ability to aim properly. If you had just removed multi-hit, you could’ve restored weapon to its original form, but, you had to snap char's neck and kill it even more than before.Just remove multi-hit, bring back 74 dmg for Primary Attack and 140 dmg for lunge. and normal aim.

1.Winch range is too great. It should not hit on the way back, makes no sense, how can it grab. It's like a stun gun 100+ dmg free unless 1 hp. It can pull into enemy team. It can move objects especially cashouts into the open so it's super hard to steal. Stun gun was removed because it often "guaranteed a kill", yet the winch does the same. + all the listed abilities it is too strong. 2.CL40 is too strong, dmg you could say is okay (100dmg I think a bit too high). It can move cashouts (push them off sth for ex) and flick away trophies so you can't revive. It instantly destroys most gadgets (mines, sensors) and turrets etc. very fast. It does immense building dmg, destroying the structure under or around you very fast so you fall or lose cover (everything destroyed is very annoying). It's also splash dmg so you can hit behind cover, over things or multiple people. So same problem here, too strong with all the added benefits and a pita. 3.Akimbo is too precise, makes no sense as you are holding two pistols without aiming in down sight/through scope, every game makes akimbo weapons unprecise for a reason, you usually get the added benefit of shooting faster and having lots of total bullets (maybe add some). 4.Pike 50 dmg little too high imo. 5.Demat is way too strong, poof wall gone and back again (player disappears to flee). it can make others fall into the team easily. It can provide an instant window to shoot through (infinite angles). It is very strong at following players that are vulnerable as you cut through the wall. It has the mega strong ability of dropping a cash, then you flee/drop it on a pad to fling it/deploy gas mines, makes it frustrating for the enemy team stealing and you waste a lot of time with this. It can usually with the help of a winch or pad, easily fling the cash away to an easy spot. It can create a hole for enemies to fall into as a defensive move. 6.Same spawns are ruining matches as you easily camp them, worst in the final round. 7. LAG

Swords rework seems to be controversial in the sword communities eyes. I think the change to having more emphasis on m1 and lunge moreso as opener is fine and am enjoying sword as it is right now, I think the community just has to adjust currently and that always includes a little of friction.

However I do have some feedback about the way the lunge rework is done. It just feels clunky, having the camera fixed in the 40 degrees is restricting in a way that's not flexible. Lunge is fine, camera isnt.

My suggestion, leave the hitbox as it is currently, but allow us to look around in the lunge, allowing better overview in chaotic fights making prediction for the next step possible. Cap the swords movement to the 40 degrees, reflect this by having it stay in place (effectively taking it out of our vision) if we stray further then the 40 degrees.

Not a fan of the 40 degree clamp, would much rather seen something similar to s1-2 without all the goofy tech, where sword can do good damage with freedom of movement in exchange for its multi hit. If you decide to keep the clamp, the angle of rotation needs to be massively increased and the vertical application needs to be removed entirely to help maintain the weapons old identity

I have noticed waaaay less cheat-like behavior since the last patch. Great work! I am not sure if it was an undocumented fix on the server-side, updated cheat detection, or something else. (Maybe a small subset of controller users were using/exploiting steam input somehow to cheat and the breaking of steam input for controllers removed their ability to cheat?) The spawns in the Skyway Stadium need adjustments. In the high-rise event, the team that spawns at the lower part of the arena is at a disadvantage and has little to no chance of climbing up to the enemy.
On the other hand, if the enemies have the vault in the lower part of the map, they can defend it indefinitely.

The number of such players in ranked mode is just overwhelming.

People are farming coins and essentially stealing from you, unlocking all rewards on multiple accounts through World Tour and Ranked, then either selling them or continuing to play to earn more and raise their value.

With just a couple of clicks, you can find multiple Finals accounts with different rewards, including Ruby and Diamond tiers.

Something needs to be done about this.

I definitely agree on this, I see new account players with insane crazy movements and it's clear that these guys are just smurfing. It's just too much and makes the experience unfair. I wish embark will do something about it. Also it would be nice if they reduce the RS penalty for solo queue players this will make it a fair experience. Please add a competitive 5v5 mode or playlist. Both World Tour and Ranked are only 3v3 format and there's a lot of people that wanna play competitively with more friends.

Mode Ideas:

  • Team queue mode, utilizing clubs more and incentivizing people to make new friends and group up. Perhaps the rank of this mode is tied to your club, and any full stack of club members can contribute to progressing it similar to a World Tour kind of progression system.
  • Open queue to anyone like ranked but as 5v5, team vs team. Either final round or bracket style.
  • Experimenting with something like Powershift as one of those modes, it's a chance for people that prefer those modes to be competitive as well.
  • 50k cash/2 cash outs is not enough for team vs team. It’s not as action packed as it should be, the respawn timer and coin mechanic makes for boring games sometimes. Increase it to 3 cash outs to win, reduce the respawn timer. I personally think functioning like resurgence would work well for this game, if a teammate is alive, your dead teammates can respawn in half the time and if it’s a wipe you all get a longer respawn timer. The coin mechanic doesn’t feel rewarding or great

Why the hell did you do that???? cus that 1 annoying pc player spammed his copy pasta about how it's hard to hit an enemy at 10meters which was clearly a self reported major skill issue.

The gun being projectile seriously was the only reason to pick it as it actually mafe it fun and unique. Now it is just another repeater.
Ks-23 was never going to be absolute meta, or worst gun in the game. It was always going to be middle of the road so you didn't need to push your e-sports ready agenda and try to make it good whilst removing the only thing that made it fun and the only reason to pick it.

PLEASE... the scopes in this game are so bad, the size and visibility changes so much not only per weapon but sometimes per respawn, it actually drives me crazy...

Can we also get different sens adjustments per weapon as we dont have attachments to work with, because changing classes seems like a toll and I believe that this would help (either the sens adjustment per weapon or the attachment feature) with other people trying out other classes and mastering a weapon, Even going from light to medium feels so heavy to me and very unplayable.

the reflex scope with the SHAK-50 also unplayable, it clips through the rail of the weapon.

I just saw gameplay for the heavy hitters LTM and it made me think what if the sledge hammer had 2 charge attacks. You have your slam down as your original, and the other charge attack is holding your light attack button which once you release it you knock players in the air/backwards lights go further than medium, and medium goes further than heavy, but it does slightly more damage than your light attack but not as much as your heavy attack with like a .4 second stun. the stun being long enough to be felt but not so long so the people can get back into the fight. I think this would be really fun to add as a way where if you can't get a good slam in but also a way to keep your enemies at a distance or smacking them off the map.

I know you have said that you usually like to remove discovered tech, but I think grenade grappling should be brought back. It wasn’t extremely overpowered, since it was a movement tool, and it would help make grapple more appealing. If you could make it so grappling near a grenade thrown by the user snaps the grapple to the grenade, that would make it easier for new players to use it as well. You could also put it in the tutorial video for grapple so people can learn about it in game!

There seems to be a way to speed up and cut the pump action of the KS-23.
Since you are wanting to remove tech like what you did with the sword I think you need to address this and nerf/remove this bug/tech that makes the KS-23 shoot faster.

Melee weapons are the reason this game isn’t as big as it could be. No real shooter player wants to deal with it. It’s never fun to play against it’s only ever actually “fun” for the people using it. It can be super finicky with what counts as a hit and what doesn’t and having riot shield with no sticky grenade is just a bad idea. Pyro doesn’t deal a ton of damage and doesn’t consistently stick when thrown at a riot shield. I just had a game of world tour where every team had a riot shield and one team had two riot shield players. It wasn’t fun at all.

It's literally the most overused and annoying weapon in casuals, especially in powershift. Why should a fucking 0.9 rat sit across the map and ruin people's engagement without any consequences? Im strictly talking casual since this shit has no place in high elo for a reason, IT'S A WEAPON MEANT FOR ROLE PLAYING RODENTS. Add flinch to it, and let's see how good of an aim they truly have. Im begging you, it kills any kind of fun for casuals. Shits more toxic than og stuns. It should DEFINITELY have flinch and reduce the mag, cause right now it's such a low-risk, high-reward weapon.

As a Med main, please gut the GL. Another golden gun for 0.9s that fires away while drooling in a cup. I honestly don't give two fucks about “WeLl ThEy NeEd To bE In RaNGE”. It's brain-dead easy to use, and it's a plague in low elo.

Why are you guys so dedicated to scaring away new players? You did the same shit with the stuns and C4/barrel nukes and left them for so long that the population still can't recover from it. Tune things that destroy low-elo, cause it's not healthy. Your overpriced cosmetics will not save or grow your game, so why??? Im genuinely baffled how devs turn a blind eye to this shit for months. The wishlist of a casual player with a negative KD:

Make gadgets more fun to use and less tactical. I’m not against tactical gadgets, I just wish there were more fun gadgets.
For example, Gravity Vortex, such a cool concept but I don’t find many uses for it. I’ve seen people use it to stall cash outs but I don’t think it excels in that area. I would much rather have it work similarly like lock bolt where you would trap objects and enemies, the problem i have with it right now is that it has almost no range and the pull affect is super weak and is easily escapable. I wish it worked more like Horizons Ult in Apex Legends and maybe even have it destroy walls that are close to it.
I wish you could detonate C4 in mid air.
I wish heavy class had a glitch gadget.
I wish minigun has a smaller choke, more range and shorter ramp up, your already a sitting duck when you are firing.
I wish charge and slam didn’t have a “charge up” when initiated and would instantly send you running, I also wish the scream was less loud and noticeable.
I wish APS Turret was on heavy class also.

This is my hottest take yet:
I wish all classes had availability to every weapon in the game but made to fit in with their class. If the XP-54 was given to heavy it should have a 50 round drum, slower reload and slower TTK. If Medium/Light is given M60 make it have the different magazine to the right side with a smaller ammo pool and quicker TTK. Much of the variety I am thinking of comes from the Battle Field and COD franchises that can customize the attachment, I think this should be done in The Final except make the weapon attachments fixed based on the class. I think much of the problem with many light players is because their favorite weapons are fixed to that class. And same goes for Medium and Heavy. I don’t think weapons should have so much restrictions I think all classes should have the opportunity to use what they like and make the gadgets their unique traits.

u hit the nail on the head pretty much, the general feeling of hardcore shooter mfs who put literal thousands hrs/$ into fps (plus aim trainer) when they die to some bs do be like that. Example: getting claymored, mines, getting run over by vehicles, getting chased down by a mad mf who has 70% of his front side bulletproof, dying to noob tube and random ass nade out of nowhere, invisible mfs who 2 tap u with a shotgun that is near impossible to miss but kill in 0.2 sec (+/- net code), trash spawn etc... I mean it's fine when dying is not punishing and the game respawn you instantly or in 5 sec, in that case just be silly who gaf. But when stake is high, boi, that is some mad bullshit.
everytime i die to sick peeks and sick tracking i ll be like damn 'he's good', and im not even mad, just impressed. Unfortunately, this game embraces its non shooter aspect, and kinda for good reason, so half the time some bs will involve. The more passionate you are, the more punished your mental will be. This game is not designed for hardcore shooter fan, maybe just play it a couple day, then go play something else for the rest of the month till you feel bored. It's healthier that way you know, good for all parties, devs less headache and can work on their passion, u less headache, hater/melee lover can go bash each other's heads in and have their fun, even when they are like idk, a small fraction of all fps player base out there or sumthing. Game caters to minority so ofc it's not gonna be big.

The only thing I don't like about this game so far is that if you die and your respawn timer is like 10 seconds and your other teammate is dead and the last person doesn't fallback and then dies you can be at 1 and then it adds 25sec and your waiting 30+ seconds to revive because of something your teammate did. That's not fun and it takes any momentum or hype you had away from the team which then messes with your mental game and then compounds the issue even more. I know this is trying to be more strategic/pressure to simulate a simulated competitive league...etc. But the respawn timer is punishment enough and if someone keeps feeding it compounds the issue on its own with them getting cash. Can the respawn timers not be tied to other people but just your performance instead? Have it start at a base 6 seconds and it adds 3seconds compounding to each death upto 30seconds max. Then give 2 quick revive tokens that can negate the timer so you can choose to spawn strategically twice. But you only get 2 tokens a half and they don't build over time.

Mfer acting like spear and dual blades weren’t born dead and like dagger, sword, and sledge didn’t get nerfed into absolute shit. Melee got nerfed in literally everything you can possibly nerf it in. Dagger alone got 11 nerfs. Damage, windup, movement speed penalty, no longer pierces goo, no longer multi-hits, can’t pierce walls even slightly anymore, can’t hit through mesh shields, worse damage, worse windup, and backstabs got “bug fixed” to the point where I can’t even one shot a turret anymore. You’re telling me I need to chew through a turret with a fucking dagger? Just let dagger one shot turrets. Nobody even runs turret. It’s not a big deal.

And I swear to god if you play high elo, like actual diamond lobbies, you will not see a single melee player. I’m probably the only dagger player up there. Maybe 3 riot shield users total, 2 sledge players, maybe one spear. That’s it. The “melee is unfun to fight” thing is always said by people stuck in casuals who got rolled once. Melee works against casuals because everything works against casuals. I could go goo gun and just quick melee someone to death. Goo gun, melee, goo gun, melee, they can’t do shit. That doesn’t mean it’s strong, that means the players are bad.

You don’t need a hard counter for melee. It’s melee. It’s already a self-counter. It’s short range, it has janky hitreg, and zero value in actual coordinated matches. Melee got nerfed into the dirt. Every single part of it. Stop acting like it’s some menace when nobody at the top even touches it anymore.

You typing '(like in overwatch)' was a very concise and efficient way to let everyone know whether to take your comment seriously or not lol.

Moving on. Dash is currently out of control. It's pickrate is ridiculously high, my estimate is at LEAST 80 percent. People eventually caught on to the fact that 3 dashes on a 7 sec cooldown is busted. It's the equivalent of 4 dashes in a single 1v1 when they are done well. I didn't used to understand this until I dabbled more heavily in a Melee playstyle. It is actually busted right now. The numbers don't lie. It's L's best spec, no contest. Would not be surprised in the slightest if it was brought down to 2 with the same CD.

Give grapple some love too while on the topic of L specs. Reduce the CD by half a sec or something. It deserves it.

I have a suggestion for Power shift since it’s the game mode most new players gravitate towards.

Spawn camping is a huge problem throughout the entire match and specifically halftime near home goal. Make it to where all players have to be on the platform in halftime, also push the platform back if no one is on platform after 50 seconds. No one plays objective and stand around baiting especially new players trying to play objective.

Matchmaking is also a problem for solo queues, back to back games with full squad members, have advantage with coms. Pinging on here isn’t as simple anymore and pings overlap one another so there’s the disadvantage. Make objective ping smaller, give us the option to remove the font or logos to said pings. I’m also being thrown into games that are losing and quite literally am forced to sit in spawn or on the pause menu since I have to wait 5 seconds instead of a press and hold option to leave game.

Monaco has by far the worst suspended structures, so I had an idea. Replace the fountain and the small elevator in the royal Plaza with one of the big PS jumppads. This allows for access where you have to force yourself out of cover to be able to reach the Jumppad. So its a risk vs reward situation so you can get up to the structures easier. You can also get usage from the activatable walls in that area

  1. Winch's Stun effect needs to be removed!
  2. CL40 High DMG on Direct hits is fine, but not for missing your shots. Blast Radius needs to be tweaked!
  3. Lower Deagles midrange accuracy. Make reloading faster as compensation.
  4. Pike 49 DMG.
  5. Demat needs like 1 second progress animation and soundcue to make enemies aware.
  6. Last Cashout doubling is also still an issue.
  7. Server hitreg is so bad, it kills the game!

How tf does your ban system even work at this point? Ban a fuck ton of people for 2 weeks, rs adjust anyone and their grandma, then you unban all of them, give them their rs back but you don't revert any of the rs adjustments that you did to their teammates or enemies?
So that means one of three things, either you are now sure that the people that you banned are not cheating, which means so many teamates and enemies got rs adjustments they don't deserve. Or number 2, you have no clue if they are cheating or not which would mean you banned a ton of people without evidence. Or number 3, you have evidence that they were cheating but let them back into the game anyways. I don't know which one is worse tbh. This is all a joke

There are plenty of shooters where I can left click my way to victory with an automatic weapon. Don't make this game one of them, you had something unique, that is now fading, patch by patch.

Improve cosmetic customization options. So that we can customize more freely, currently there are TOO MANY items that can not be used in combination with one-another.
With cosmetics being your main source of income in THE FINALS, I expect higher priority on this aspect of the game, and a better quality standard is in general expected from Embark.

Dear Deff Team. I spoke now with many Players out of the community in total over 1000 and we managed to create a Balance Sheet:

Ranked: To be a competitve Gamemode, it should be fair. Therfore pls forbid the last cashout to be a touble completly.
Pls make it possible, that u can alswo hide ure Stats like Kills, etc.

Besides that Ranked is pretty Balanced as a mode, same coounts for world Tour.

Generell Bug fixes: Pls fix the issue where u cant shoot or sprint. This is known since Season 3.

Weapon Changes:

Dagger; Increase the space where it counts as a Backstap and also increase the movement speed while charged up.

Sword: Make it possible to move in the lunge and just take the ability for Multihits away.
Nerf the dmg of the quik attack and bring back the old combos. Like this the weapon would be strong but only in the hand of a good Player.

Heal gun: Nerf the heal speed. Players need over 500 dmg on a Heavy till he is dead if the light heals him.

Sniper: Why does it have Bullet drop and the Pike not? Make it Hitscan till 40 Meters and its a viable Weapon.

MP 11: Nerf hipfire or increase the recoil.

Medium: New Gadget is usless.

Medium has no clear Role anymore.

Nerf the Pike. Aplly the same theme to the Pike as to the KS. And nerf the Hipfire or the fire Rate.

Heavy: Take the dmg from the charge away and only apply it to the slam. Let the Slam increase in dmg the further he jumps down.

Buff the Lewis Gun espacially the recoil.

Nerf the Shotgun. Way to much dps.

Overall the Game is way to focuse around casual Players. It should be hard to Kill the best Players in the world. At the moment all it needs is Team stacked with Rocket Loungers c4 Heal Gun and Charge and slam

Sword clamp is healthy, sword could definitely use more buffs to damage or lunge distance either way.

If I dodged your lunge you shouldn't be able to turn mid lunge at me. Your bullets don't turn around mid shot to chase someone.

Ranked seems to have some disconnect bugs, if you dc while loading in to a new round the game seems to regard you as if you have left the game. I played with my ranked buddy yesterday. He dc'd and reconnected right afterwards. Even tho we recieved rating at the end of the second match, he was penalised 1k rating and barred from queueing for 10 mins just as if he actually left.

I would recommend this bug be sorted out and players compensated for the rank loss of the faux leave. I have also commented on this in a bug thread. It should be possible to figure out when people have been falsely flagged for leaves because they will have still participated in these games afterwards.

Wild aim spinning wasn't actually used, and anyone who actually played sword at a competitive level understood that. I’m not lying—unless the enemy team was stupidly clumped together, you almost never used it.
"Feeling they were hit unexpectedly when a player lunged them." You’re in close range and you’re surprised you got hit by a melee weapon? What, were you playing with the sound off and your eyes closed? If you're in a situation where a sword lunge can hit turn arround, then any melee weapon could do that. How can you be surprised?

Every weapon, when in close range, can naturally move behind the enemy or slide behind and turn to hit from the back. Especially in melee situations. And dagger is a weapon specifically designed for that. Then wouldn't people feel "hit unexpectedly" by dagger too? So are you going to add aim restriction to dagger? No? Why, sword can’t turn back like dagger does? Every weapon can naturally turn around and strike an enemy’s back. But sword alone is restricted from doing that? And that’s supposed to be "intuitive"? If all other weapons can do something, wouldn't it be intuitive to think sword could too?

Occasionally turning the aim in certain situations was done to maximize multi-hit. If wild aim spinning is the problem, then just remove multi-hit, and you won’t need to add aim lock—which is the patch that causes the most player frustration in THE FINALS. Even if you spin wildly, you’ll only hit one person, so the problem is solved. Of course, you’d need to revert the damage too.

88 M1 is not needed. Just 74 M1 and 140 lunge is enough. Like in early S1 or early S2. That version was slightly weak. So in mid S2, you thought the sword was too weak and secretly buffed multi-hit in a stealth patch. But because you were obsessed with keeping that, you made a stupid decision. You broke the sword in a way that people who actually played sword cannot understand. You even removed functions that the sword needs (that all other weapons can do).

When season 8 comes I feel weapons need a proper buff low ttk with this healing meta is going to get boring as it already has. BUFF WEAPONS PROPERLY next season and stop nerfing everything the best weapons are either one shot or they do burst damage and I can admit this style of gameplay is getting boring. Plz make better balancing next season

remove clamp or buff to 180 degrees, it’s already hard enough to kill a competent player with sword now you can just climb strafe or run around them in a circle and lunge is almost impossible to land
