Day 6 of asking embark to please let us use the reserve in ranked :c, it would mitigate the frustration a lot of people have with certain weapons with out the need of nerfing them, it would allow for niche and fun loadouts to be more present in ranked, for that same reason more people would be willing to try new weapons in a serious matter, for example if you've been practicing with the R357 but still feel insecure about your ability to use it effectively you could just bring it and if you don't feel you're ready then you could swap for a more familiar weapon, and I think it will improve the health of the game over all

🎲 For the game 🎲

  • In pratice game, add friendly fire option
  • Improve your matchmaking in World Tour. No more Solo VS tri-stack
  • Add "steps" in reload animation so when you climb on something during a reload, it's not completely reset.
  • Add a report option " Sabotage " in the report section IG when people leave or AFK on purpose.
  • Let us choose our sight weapons at the beginning of a game
  • Random charm list for weapons/gadgets. EDIT : Can we just choose our random skin & not all our skins ?
  • We shouldn't lost point in ranked when a team mate leave the squad and didn't play during the round
  • Let us invite friends or join them in group even if we are not the group leader
  • Add the possibility to look at the banner of friends & recent players.
  • **Give us the possibility to customize rules in private match. Like "only M and Dual Blade", "only Light and SR84", "only marksman", "No heal, Light only and grenade only". You can imagine all you want and put it in private match for streamer & their community to make the game more fun **

**⚖️ For balance ⚖️ **

  • Nerf CL40. For real this time
  • The effort to play Light correctly is too damn high compared to Medium & Heavy class. There is no fun at all playing Light. Meanwhile Medium spam with CL40 and Heavy are unkillable with the new heal. When will we see a META with Light ? Stop listen cry baby and buff their DPS !
  • Revert the nerf of the XP54. What's the point of putting XP at 16dmg when M11 (an other SMG) do the same, faster & with more bullets ?
  • Rework Nulifier (again) : When you get it by the "Taser" your recoil is increased but you can still move as you want and you take 5 dmg/sec by the electricity during 3 sec. Can hit multiple target when you shoot.
  • You shouldn't be able to right clic sword + dash. This double dash is unfair
  • Increase the hip fire the CB01-Repeater
  • Rework Vanish Bomb. Make it start regen instant. It will increase survability for the Light & it can be use for your teammates too !
  • Reduce the radius of the reflect of the Dual Blade or let us shoot in the feet or something else to let us counter DB when you got an AR like Riot Shield.
  • Nerf the range of the KS23. You can put 100 dmg at 20m.
  • Nerf PIKE to 48 dmg instead of 50 dmg.
  • Rework defib: Reduce the cooldown reset to 5s and give 100HP instead of 50% of your HP. It will force Medium to revive safer !
  • Rework Sonar: Scan 5 times instead of 3 but if you don't move it can't scan you
  • Winch & lockbolt shouldn't do 5 damages. It's already strong enough
  • Rework the ARN into a real AR ? Slower RPM but much more DMG. Something like the FCAR for example.

** 🛜 Servers problems 🛜 **

  • Improve your netcode / tickrate or I don't know what ! Dying behind cover it's one of the most frustrating thing in The Finals
  • Flamethrower and hook should NOT get you through walls, doors and farer than it should be
  • Sword, dagger, DualS or all other melee weapon feels unfair when you think you're out of range and die anyway
  • Having good connection = Death behind wall, door & anything else.

As opposed to what? Mediums who sit on their turrets/aps and jump pad grenade launchers? Or Heavies who sit behind shield after shield after shield with a healing emitter, rocket launchers and flamethrowers? Lights die from a sneeze. Heavies are the "cheesiest" class by far. They have virtually unlimited health and no down side other than lack of speed (which is irrelevant when you have so many shields). Heavies have been the most buffed class since season 5, while Lights have been getting nothing but nerf after nerf.

@quick coyote if you do that, it will turn defib into a must choose gadget, and if you dont run it yourself you just loose
it doesnt solve the issue, it just turns it around, while being extremely punishing to those that dont want to run defib/medium

revives should just be removed, and as seen by blast off they can now remove the statues entirely, which would be the right course of action imo

They should make it so that when you click to view your circuit contracts, it should default to the newest week. We're in CNS Override week 2, yet it still defaults to Vaiiya International Week 1. Same for Legacy Battle passes. They all default to lvl 1, when battle pass, career pass, and sponsorship pass, all default to the highest lvl available to you.

CLOAK REWORK SUGGESTION:

cloak is super divisive rn being OP in early game with a low skill ceiling due to crazy sound cues. i’d suggest adding an “activation” period for cloak, maybe 1.5 seconds or so to become cloaked (enough time that u have to stop and find a hiding spot in order to cloak) by doing this, and removing/minimizing sound cues, it can help the light class more easily find ways to relocate and flank with a team, while making it much more difficult to cloak in and out as a runaway tactic for lights that abandon their team completely.

Revert sword nerf (PLEASE give it 140 lunge damage, it needs it)
Buff dagger (so much you could do. I think you must: let it backstab turrets and fix hit-reg, then you should do one or more of: reduce charge time, increase backstab angle, slowdown only when fully charged)
Revert sledge nerf (at least the left click part), the range buff was nice but not what it needed
Also with the sledge buff, nerf winch! It’s the problem!
Give riot shield’s baton a wider hitbox, as right now it’s really janky to try and hit lights
Buff dual blades dps
Make breach drill faster and a maybe a bigger explosion
Bring back grenade grappling, and make it easier or reduce grapple cooldown
Make m11 a close range option, XP a mid range one, and ARN a longer range one. Same thing with AKM, FCAR, and famas, respectively
Make fire deal damage faster, without increasing the damage, this is for flamethrower
Spawns kinda suck right now, wiped teams spawn in front of people with the cashbox and block the cashout

Let us unlock the ultimate battlepass rewards as the $20 tier, and the 20 extra levels be part of the $30

Here is a list of weapons that need to be buffed but not make them overpowered in the next balance patch

Spear: increase the first swing damage in the combo from 65 to 70 making it 70, 80, 90 and increase the spin attack damage to 120

KS-23: increase the projectile speed to 500m/s and either give it a 1.2x headshot multiplier or decrease the fire rate to 73 RPM and increase the player damage to 120

Riot shield: increase the movement speed when blocking

R.357: increase the fire rate from 140 to 160 RPM

ok, so aside from the melee situation, a big problem in world tour ive been experiencing is that there always seems to be one 3 stack team that despite being in emerald in past seasons, they arent by then. they just end up slamming every other team, so I'm thinking that maybe you can lock off 3 stacks into separate lobbies OR, if you did well enough in past seasons, you get placed in a higher rank by default for world tour. But then again, im just a new(ish) player, so take what i say with a grain of salt

I just got done with a thumb workout playing world tour. The only thing I noticed is that is now says xbox network when you start a match. I play on pc and when I can't move from taco bell abuse I lay on my safe space and use a controller.

A few things I noticed today:

• The head glitch on roofing needs to be fixed. Fix it by placing projectile origin at barrel or model placement not the eyes. I can't tell how this is not a simple fix.
• AGHXVNI678 is a freakin Cronus using cheater, openly, I honestly don't know how you don't ban that dude.
• Body shots with sniper do so little damage sometimes. I don't understand. It's very inconsistent. You can body shot a medium one time and it takes like four hits, body shot them another and it takes two. It should be the two.
• You can apparently place turrets on the underside of the platform making them unreachable when they're in the middle. I thought anything touching the underneath of the platform took damage until destroyed or eliminated. If not, that should be a thing.
• The throwable dome shield could use a time buff.

It's a minor detail, but alongside the new music each season, I think it'd be fun to change up the cashout sound. Keeping the same core tune but using a different instrument set or arrangement thereof would be a fun way to differentiate the audio experience season by season.

Day 41 requesting a Coin toss emote (only with "The Finals" icon, not a head or tails emote)

It will be a hand emote for the left hand (As every other hand emote) which tosses a coin (With a very satisfaction sound effect, like the ULTRAKILL's one) and then grab it in the air and the emote finishes

It would be so cool since, the enemies get coined, it would be a very gentle but cool flex

Hi everyone, so far, I've been having alot of fun, for the majority of the time

I love the gunplay and the movement in this game, playing the M11 with thr grappling hook is awesome I love it so much

But, i've been struggling to not rage about my teammates. 4 games out of 5, i get 2 guys playing light builds and going in to just die by themselves

Out of the 10 ish games i've done on world tour and in ranked, i've won twice de first round, and its pretty discouraging

Anyhow, the game is awesome, and I love that it has motion control, my Splatoon brain loves it

I swear to god, I HATE having to restart whatever damn message I’m trying to type, because it gets reset SO FREQUENTLY. When I’m dead and I’m spectating someone, then its a team wipe, HALF MY MESSAGE IS GONE, and when i try to re-type it all over, it’s deleted again. Fix that shit, its agitating, there is NO REASON it should be doing this. And you wonder why console players arent using your text chat.

Okay, honest to goodness feedback for the last few times making it to the Finals of World Tour. In World Tour, remove the "Wait for Revive or Team Wipe" in the final round when it's only two teams at the end. You could literally have a 1 vs 3 situation for half the game that way, and it just turns into a waiting match for most of it. That's absolutely unfair and it slows the game way down.

Side Note: (I personally could stand to see the "Wait for Revive or Team Wipe" removed from the game entirely but I digress)

Side Note 2: I feel like you need to buff the nullifier (taser) just a bit. Taking it from the 4 seconds it is now to 5 or 6 would be really helpful. But I leave that up to majority discussion.

Side Note 3: Pink and Purple are too close in color. I honestly can't tell if I'm fighting one or two teams sometimes. It'd be nice to throw Green or maybe Yellow or something in there, or just separate those hues a little more.

My response is: what fun is that? Camping your teammates trophies for forever and forcing you into a 30 second teamwipe over and over again is just shitty gameplay and not fun for anyone. It's literally enabled griefing. Then both teams just sit waiting and watching for 30 seconds. I don't think that's the solution.

In 4.6.0 patch, at sword,
Decreased the length of the secondary attack’s hit sweep by 55cm.

The nerf was too harsh, so in 5.8.0 they reverted it:
Increased the length of the Sword’s secondary attack hit sweep by 55cm.

Back to where it was.

Common sense tells us that just nerfing the hit sweep made the sword a very weak weapon, and you recognized this and reverted it. How does it make sense to apply a nerf that is even more deadly than that? As everyone knows, dmg nerf is a more serious nerf than a hit sweep nerf.
And from 140 to 105? That’s a whopping 35 dmg, 25% of its dmg. Nerfs should be handled with surgical precision, not through nonsense like slashing a weapon’s dmg by 25%.
After that, the hammer went through the same thing. It doesn’t make sense logically, but it happened. It seems like no one on the balance patch team has played melee in WT and Ranked. If they had, they would know how hard it is to respond against shooting from high ground with melees.

Melee has to hit a certain dmg threshold to even be viable. Since melee must get up close to the enemy, offense is always the best defense. The only way to improve the survivability and viability of melees is to give them enough dmg.

"We’re going to continue to monitor the Sword and explore some alternative changes that might allow us to nudge the lunge dmg back up."

"These adjustments are separate from the broader melee quality-of-life improvements we’re planning for the future."

Start keeping your promises. Honestly, I really doubt whether melee needed a nerf at all.
But if I were to make one suggestion for the sword (even though I see no reason it needs a nerf),
At 140 dmg, make it so that when the sword multi-hits, first targets take 140 dmg, and non-primary targets take slightly less dmg. The current 25% dmg reduction is trash, so even non-primary targets should take more dmg than that.

Revert melees. All melee weapons needed their pre-nerf stats, and that’s why they were originally set that way.

Joined to give feedback. Please stop adding contracts that force WT or ranked. In Australia, those modes dont have a player base, I basically cant play those modes so I just cannot do this contract.

$45000 in a single game also isnt super easy, so even if I did, by magic, get a match, id have to also do well. Its just very discouraging. Please make a QC or TDM or even PowerShift alternative contract.

Do you know what 'Survivorship bias' is? It’s a logical fallacy where people only focus on those who made it through a selection process while ignoring those who didn’t. When only the players who managed to adapt to using melee weapons are still using them, of course the remaining stats will look good because only the successful ones are left. Anyone who wasn’t good at using melee weapons would’ve just stopped playing them. That’s why, objectively, there have always been fewer melee users than gun users.

So making balance decisions based solely on stats without playing the weapon yourself is absurd. The fact that only a few people are using it means it’s already a weapon for experts. And if only experts remain, of course the stats will look good. And If people are asking for a nerf, it usually means they don’t even use the weapon themselves. Look at Pike. It’s one of the strongest weapons right now, but you don’t see nearly as people crying for a nerf. Why? Because the majority of this game’s players are mediums (actually embark says). And naturally, people don’t ask for nerfs on weapons they like and use themselves.

But I’m NOT saying Pike should be nerfed. What I’m saying is that the other weapons should be buffed to the same level.

Instead of nerfing, just buff the alternatives. That way, the players who use those weapons don’t feel unfairly punished, and those using other weapons will enjoy having more competitive options. Everyone wins. So why do you only nerf? Nerfs should be handled with surgical precision, not through nonsense like slashing a weapon’s dmg by 25%.

Fighting against niche weapons requires a different approach than fighting against guns. But instead of adapting, a bunch of dumb players keep whining for nerfs because they can’t be bothered to change their gadgets or playstyle. You must stop listening to nerf whiners.

Sword needs a 140 dmg lunge. Those original stats existed for a reason: melee weapons needed them to function properly.

Cashout spawns don't seem to make any sense. You wipe a team only for them to beat you to the station you need to go to? 🤣 So the team that wipes gets the advantage? Spawn distances or timers need to be changed to favor the team that performed better. What's happening now is that if the team who get wiped has a zipline - they get the advantage on the point despite being wiped?? The Final round wipe timer also SURELY needs to be increased, or the distance away from the stations increased. It happens so often where you have zero time to set up against the team you just wiped

Its almost as if people don't actually want to play Kyoto because the map doesn't play well. Despite this it appears to show up more in rotation than others. Get that garbage out of the map pool. Here is a list of weapons that need to be buffed but not make them overpowered in the next balance patch

Spear: increase the first swing damage in the combo from 65 to 70 making it 70, 80, 90 and increase the spin attack damage to 120

KS-23: increase the projectile speed to 500m/s and either give it a 1.2x headshot multiplier or decrease the fire rate to 73 RPM and increase the player damage to 120

Riot shield: increase the movement speed when blocking

R.357: increase the fire rate from 140 to 160 RPM

Dual blades: make the Deflect more consistent so it can block all melee weapons and increase the first swing damage from 50 to 55, increase the second swing damage from 60 to 65 and increase the final attack damage from 65 to 75 and make it so the final attack can be done faster and increase the movement speed when deflecting by just a little bit and make it so the blades deflect pellets from shotguns more consistently because right now it's bugged and it deflects more pellets at a certain range

AKM: increase magazine capacity to 34, 35 or 36, the choice is yours on what number you choose

ARN-220: decrease the duration of the tactical reload animation from 2.45s to 2.30s, decrease the duration of the full reload animation from 2.80s to 2.60s

Data Reshaper: increase the charges from 2 to 3 and decrease the cooldown from 26s to 20s

Revert sword nerf (PLEASE give it 140 lunge damage, it needs it)
Buff dagger (I think you must: let it backstab turrets, then you should do one or more of: reduce charge time, increase backstab angle, slowdown only when fully charged)
Revert sledge nerf (at least the left click part), the range buff was nice but not what it needed
Also with the sledge buff, nerf winch! It’s the problem!

ok please tell me why is it okay for someone around 36k rs to match against 60k rs?? i get it that 60k rs doesn't have enough players in his range to find a good match. so the player count in the top players is a problem i have a possible solution just change the amount of teams that is required to start a match (only at the top players, diamonds and above) for example make it only 4 teams instead of 8. if 1st and 2nd team going head to head in the final round is a problem then make a seperate queue for the final round (if you win the 1st round, you and your team enter the final queue)

Honestly - I was about to put in a fuckton of hours (and money for some skins) into the game. Had fun the first 20 hours. But at this point Im just disgusted. Solo skill is unimportant when you have "teammates" running fuck knows where. If you want to win you MUST play as a team which makes the playing experience so miserable considering that gamers in general have an ego problem and rather want to make cool kills and plays instead of playing for an objective as a team. If you play in a group with a voice chat you are gonna stomp 80% of your games because not only do people then play as a team for the objective but also give positions of approaching enemies which makes the upsides unbearable to play against as a person playing this game solo most of the time. You should be rewarded way more for playing good than playing together. End of rant.

  • In pratice game, add friendly fire option
  • Improve your matchmaking in World Tour. No more Solo VS tri-stack
  • Add "steps" in reload animation so when you climb on something during a reload, it's not completely reset.
  • Add a report option " Sabotage " in the report section IG when people leave or AFK on purpose.
  • Let us choose our sight weapons at the beginning of a game
  • Random charm list for weapons/gadgets. EDIT : Can we just choose our random skin & not all our skins ?
  • We shouldn't lost point in ranked when a team mate leave the squad and didn't play during the round
  • Let us invite friends or join them in group even if we are not the group leader
  • Add the possibility to look at the banner of friends & recent players.
  • **Give us the possibility to customize rules in private match. Like "only M and Dual Blade", "only Light and SR84", "only marksman", "No heal, Light only and grenade only". You can imagine all you want and put it in private match for streamer & their community to make the game more fun **

  • Nerf CL40. For real this time
  • The effort to play Light correctly is too damn high compared to Medium & Heavy class. There is no fun at all playing Light. Meanwhile Medium spam with CL40 and Heavy are unkillable with the new heal. When will we see a META with Light ? Stop listen cry baby and buff their DPS !
  • Revert the nerf of the XP54. What's the point of putting XP at 16dmg when M11 (an other SMG) do the same, faster & with more bullets ?
  • Rework Nulifier (again) : When you get it by the "Taser" your recoil is increased but you can still move as you want and you take 5 dmg/sec by the electricity during 3 sec. Can hit multiple target when you shoot.
  • You shouldn't be able to right clic sword + dash. This double dash is unfair
  • Increase the hip fire the CB01-Repeater
  • Rework Vanish Bomb. Make it start regen instant. It will increase survability for the Light & it can be use for your teammates too !
  • Reduce the radius of the reflect of the Dual Blade or let us shoot in the feet or something else to let us counter DB when you got an AR like Riot Shield.
  • Nerf the range of the KS23. You can put 100 dmg at 20m.
  • Nerf PIKE to 48 dmg instead of 50 dmg.
  • Rework defib: Reduce the cooldown reset to 5s and give 100HP instead of 50% of your HP. It will force Medium to revive safer !
  • Rework Sonar: Scan 5 times instead of 3 but if you don't move it can't scan you
  • Winch & lockbolt shouldn't do 5 damages. It's already strong enough
  • Rework the ARN into a real AR ? Slower RPM but much more DMG. Something like the FCAR for example.

** 🛜 Servers problems 🛜 **

  • Improve your netcode / tickrate or I don't know what ! Dying behind cover it's one of the most frustrating thing in The Finals
  • Flamethrower and hook should NOT get you through walls, doors and farer than it should be
  • Sword, dagger, DualS or all other melee weapon feels unfair when you think you're out of range and die anyway
  • Having good connection = Death behind wall, door & anything else.

suggestion for events with two seperate weekly quests groups:

put all the "win <x> amount" and "play <y> amount" quests on the first week, and dont put any on the second week, keep it to the weapon specific ones.

i'm now nearing feeling burnt out on this gamemode and i'm being asked to just put sheer time into the gamemode, not do anything specific, because the 2nd week has another batch of time based quests on top of the first one
while i really liked this gamemode, the sheer amount of time being asked of me is making it feel more like a chore. i feel like my suggestion might fix that feeling

the h+ infuser is just that, a way to insert some much needed team play into the game because previously light was never run in high level play why not just run two mediums one with heal beam and one with demat? Now that heal beam has become pretty bad and infuser is quite strong light finally has a place. Stop putting wins as challenges in LTE, it is cancer as solo que person, all the other challenges are fine.
Also it loses the casual factor, it becomes more frustrating when you lose then, c'mon.
Also hit registration is terrible in that mode, sometimes you shoot rocket close range to enemy, it explodes, zero damage, happens a lot.
Also lag, I have never seen this in any otehr mode, but there has been few matches with one second delay in actions.
Fun mode, frustrating to play at times.

Also remove Kyoto, I'm serious. I have fun with the game, then Kyoto comes up, I come out of it pissed off everytime I play it, even when I win. First round fine, second round randomly fps drops to 20 for no reason at times, blinking you all the warning icons. None of the graphic setting do nothing, it is the same thing, exclusive to that map, that map is, garbage, the servers can't handle it, and it is ackward to play.

I'm hoping rework of it for its anniversary, but until then, just put a option to opt out from that map, you want people to have fun? Hmmm? Delete the map for now, thank you.

Or at least put the winter variant in, why not? That one was somewhat playable.

The spear is to op. I’m sorry to complain but as a light dagger or sword all they have to do is hold one option well i have to try and actually aim with my hits the worst part is it has zero charge up time like the dagger or sword. On top of all that it hits like a foot or two more then the visuals is 360 cover and goes through walls. Like sorry i can’t back stab through walls and slice people up with the sword. Its kinda annoying they have a 360 instant continuous attack. Like name one other melee weapon that has no charge up time and unlimited attack on its ultimate attack.

Day 7 of asking embark to please let us use the reserve in ranked :c, it would mitigate the frustration a lot of people have with certain weapons with out the need of nerfing them, it would allow for niche and fun loadouts to be more present in ranked, for that same reason more people would be willing to try new weapons in a serious matter, for example if you've been practicing with the R357 but still feel insecure about your ability to use it effectively you could just bring it and if you don't feel you're ready then you could swap for a more familiar weapon, and I think it will improve the health of the game over all

  • Rework/Remove Winch Claw from the game. Extremely unbalanced and janky spec that should not exist. At the very least make shields counter it.
  • Rework Glitch Nades to 1 nade on a short cooldown, with larger radius.
  • Rework MGL when?
  • Remove Defib sickness
  • When dashing, weapons get slightly more recoil dispersion. This is to hopefully do something about mashing dash with weapons like 93r and M11, with obnoxious hipfire accuracy while dashing.
  • Add a little bit of recoil to ARN. It's literally a straight line.

Misc:

  • Stealing inside a smoke cloud reveals the person stealing. Smoke stealing is very common. There's practically no counterplay other than thermal.
  • Reduce the smoke produced from destruction/debris.
  • Can't steal mid-air. This is to make gadgets like C4 and Breach more reliable at denying steals. And not just a case of "stick the steal"
  • Better matchmaking? Golds matching current and 3 times ruby stacks is weird.
  • Spawns are dogshit, always been, couldn't fix it for 7 seasons straight is crazy.
  • Server desync and hit registration is dogshit, still can't fix it for 7 seasons straight.
  • Devs promised to improve ranked cashout by introducing World Tour, then we didn't see any cashout changes to address third partying or how unfair the gamemode feels.

personally i like blast off
but i feel like the contracts are a bit problematic

im on a bit of a dry streak atm, and playing some other games as change of scenery to avoid frustration and burnout
but then we get contracts to complete unrelated daily challenges in the blast off circuit?
basically forcing me to play every day if i want to complete them, rather than being able to wait until a day i actually feel like jamming out in the finals, where i usually enjoy grinding all the contracts that have accumulated

"win 8 matches" feels especially bad to me
i dont mind "play 20 matches" because no matter what, im making progress, and its usually a good time
but when its specifically winning, then i need to rely on my teammates, and if they are having problems then i cant progress, no matter how well i play
which is worsened by the fact everyone else also wants to complete it, so they sweat, or join a discord/clan stack and crush the whole team

please consider this for future contracts and perhaps adjust how they are handled
being brute force-able, not requiring daily engagement, not relying on a teammates performance etc. would make them a lot more enjoyable

I was playing spear today and yesterday and I half-agree with this. The problem isn't that it's overpowered, it's that it is VERY inconsistent and broken, sometimes you will actually hit people around you and it will do insane damage, and sometimes you can be standing in a crowd of enemy players and do zero damage. They need to change the secondary attack to something else and rework the primary attacks because it's very odd having long range attacks and close range attacks in a pattern that feels... random. If there's any suggestion I'd have at all to fix this, it would be to have the primary attack be a stab and the secondary attack be a horizontal swipe, instead of the 360° flailing that we have now.

The Cloak ability for the Light class has been chipped away by multiple nerfs, and this latest one pushes it past the point of viability. At 20 meters and beyond, cloaked players are still easy to spot even by other Light class users. With a sniper rifle or HDR monitor, visibility is so high that Cloak might as well not exist; players can see you clear as day. When moving, the effect resembles glass more than invisibility, offering no real tactical advantage. Even standing still once a reliable way to evade detection does little to help, as you’re still easily tracked. The “hide-and-seek” playstyle described in the patch notes sounds appealing in theory but completely falls apart in practice. What once supported a true cat-and-mouse experience, allowing low-health players to slip away and recover, has now been reduced to a flashy but ineffective VFX skin. Instead of refining stealth, this change strips it of purpose and leaves Cloak feeling like nothing more than a broken gimmick.

Maybe there could be like 5-10 (depending on the length) waves of enemies and then an attack round of similar length where you have to push into groups of enemies and eliminate them to get to the next defense point. That way more offensive weapons and gadgets can be used instead of spamming barricade, dome shield, heal ball, etc.

The primary issue with this community in my opinion is that everyone's critique or suggestive feedback is met with a "skill issue" remark instead of actually trying to understand where casual and intermediate players are coming from. This game can be very unforgiving for players who lack the time to put hundreds of hours into it to in order to learn insane movement tech and abuse gameplay mechanics unlike a large portion of the PC gamers. Truth be told, there are a lot of things that genuinely need to be looked at thoroughly. The game is definitely fun and fresh but what veteran players need to understand is that in order to retain players there does indeed need to be proper balancing especially amongst player types and weapons. Nothing is more frustrating than having actual grievances, which are just, only to be met with egotistical banter from players in the community who like to abuse unintended results from a busted mechanic. Some things just aren't skill issues.

Cloak needs a serious buff. It's probably the second worst spec in the game next to turret. It's too easy to see and has too many counters. Naturally the ultra blind reddit bots will complain if it's made harder to see so they should reduce the activation cost to 10-15%.

back when light had high dps, you could run cloak, engage a medium first and win
but light weapons got a bunch of dps nerfs. so even if you have the jump on a medium, as long as he isnt a potato, he will win

thats why the current light meta is to run dash and arn. you shoot the medium then when he turns around to shoot you, you start dashing. with the good ammo capacity of the arn, youll eventually win the gunfight.

if that light in ur video started to spam dashes while shooting you he couldve won

Meanwhile, Pike, a ranged weapon, outperforms actual melee weapons at melee range.
Your balancing is full of contradictions.

Let me spell it out for you:
A melee weapon is called that because it only works at close range.
And because it’s so risky to get in close, it’s supposed to be powerful up close.
There are already plenty of tools and weapons to stop someone from getting close.
If someone manages to get past all of that and closes the range, it’s only fair they win in close range.

Saying “melee weapons can never compete against guns at range, so why aren’t guns nerfed?” is obviously nonsense.
Just like this, nerfing melee weapons because they’re strong in melee is just as ridiculous.

Instead of nerfing, just buff the other weapons. That way, the players who use those weapons don’t feel unfairly punished, and those using other weapons will enjoy having more competitive options. Everyone wins. Nerfs should be handled with surgical precision, not through nonsense like slashing a weapon’s dmg by 25%.

Admitting a mistake and fixing it right away is nothing to be ashamed of. What's truly shameful is refusing to acknowledge the mistake and making things worse. No one’s going to blame you for correcting a wrong. Do something that’s actually not shameful, pleeeease.

FLAMETHROWER REWORK SUGGESTION
Flamethrower has been vastly underperforming for seasons, and considering the weapon is almost identical to the weapon it was back in OB, it’s about time for it to recieve some major changes.

  • Increase its range back to 10 meters: Same range as open beta, its pretty much the only thing it hasnt gotten back.
  • Increase overall DPS by 10: This will still leave it doing much less damage than most weapons, but at least it will be killing a medium faster than 3 seconds.
  • Rework the "ADS" into an Alternate fire:
    - Alt Fire launches a fireball projectile that detonates on impact. Does 70 on a direct hit, trickles off to 30 damage at minimum range. AoE of 3 meters. Costs 5 Ammo to fire, RoF of about 90 RPM. Projectile is about as heavy as current Anti Grav Cube (no "sniping" people with fireballs)
    This would give Flamer a bit more utility and viability at range, without completely invalidating its primary fire.

SPEAR REWORK SUGGESTION
Spear as it stands just isnt working. The spin is a fun idea but its too high commitment, and far too easily punished or whiffed. It’s a fun idea but it needs to go.

  • Alt fire is replaced by a spear throw:
    -upon alt fire, Heavy "charges" a spear throw (similar to how TK alt fire works) allowing them to throw a 100 damage spear projectile, with the same weight and speed of a CL40 grenade.
    This gives spear some utility no other melee can claim, allowing heavy to follow up kills that would otherwise get away from him. Though the DPS would obviously be rather low to punish spamming.

KS-23 REWORK SUGGESTION
The KS23 has been in a sore spot since its addition, what little times its stood in the spotlight very swiftly nerfed out of existence, and in the state its in, its been very cruelly power crept out in lieu of other, more reliable close range options like the SA12 and the minigun. More than anything its main gimmick of being an accuracy weapon that isnt perfectly accurate has lead to it having significant issues, and i think more than anything, that needs to go.

  • Primary fire has been changed from a single projectile to a ten pellet spread. Triangular "ten pin bowling" arrangement.
  • Each pellet does 10 damage each, and 100 structural each. (maybe 11-12 each but i know we want to avoid QM "kill combos, though my opinion on that is we should just let lights die fast)
  • Reload now uses the "double shell" animation regardless of if the weapon has been emptied or not: speeds up general reload time when weapon isnt emptied
    This change would give the weapon more reliable consistency in combat without sacrificing its main gimmick of destruction. Failing that JUST MAKE IT PERFECTLY ACCURATE LIKE CMON

Oh and like, just make the MGL grenades explode on player contact. Like cmon, TF2 figured this shit out 17 years ago.

Day 42 requesting a Coin toss emote (only with "The Finals" icon, not a head or tails emote)

It will be a hand emote for the left hand (As every other hand emote) which tosses a coin (With a very satisfaction sound effect, like the ULTRAKILL's one) and then grab it in the air and the emote finishes

It would be so cool since, the enemies get coined, it would be a very gentle but cool flex

Hope Embark takes note of this, we need it in the game, I would pay for it

i'm kinda concerned with how the anti light hate mob is going at the moment.

Keep double barrel how it is. we already "tested" a nerfed version from 1.5 till 3.0 and it clearly didn't work

I think winch needs looking at. It wasn't fun to be "stunned" by lights and it isn't fun to be actually stunned by a heavy. It was also the actual issue behind the sledge one hit combo. Lockbolt is also somewhat powerful but at least it gives me a bit of room to escape from the maniac with the flamethrower.
I think demat has no actual counter in this game and maybe that is something for S8
I think rpg is rife for a rework to make it actually about destruction and not about cheap ass 100 damage. I think 2 charges 50 damage each would still work as to finish an escaping enemy but the focus should be destruction. A nice side effect would be that many of the QOL nerfs could be reverted making rpg a more snappy experience.

I don’t know how you can say that mediums have the easiest weapons but respect the heavies that kill you when they have 5 instant win gadgets (rpg, charge, dome , healing emitter, winch) and their weapons require the least amount of skill in the game but yeah medium is the problem. I‘m also gonna help you out with your clip because I’m such a nice guy. The light hit you down to 40 hp, missed a lot of shots then hit you down to 10 hp, continued to miss and stayed still so you killed him

reason why i have had games where a enemy team Light would pick up my teams Heavy's healing ball and uses it as a shield to block damage from the Light holding it and their teammates while chasing the Heavy me or the Light because the healing ball belongs to my team, my Heavy me and my Light can't destroy friendly gadgets, and it would be great if enemy teams can't pick other teams healing balls, and yes yes i can hear everyone say "well just have the Heavy recall it", as soon as the Heavy pulls out the gadget to recall the healing ball the Light can just drop it and shoot and eliminate the Heavy, if they chase down the Heavy.

what I'm referring too is the Light's sword charge-dash combo, have where the Light's dash cancels out the swords secondary attack the sword lunge, so Light's have to choose to either dash or lunge attack, because the sword lunge dash attack can and is extremely abusive not to mention extremely hard to counter if you don't have glitch traps/grenades, winch claw, goo gun, or lockbolt, and Light's just be happy I'm not suggesting a nerf to dash where you only get 2 dash charges or you keep the 3 but the recharge will take longer like the same charge time as the Medium's Dematerializer.

1.)There is a delay to shooting the railgun after hitting the trigger or you can press and hold to charge the shot and release to fire (it won't fire instantly)(You can watch Fortnite's railgun implementation for reference).
2.)While charging the shot at the enemy player you are aiming at, they will see a red laser coming from the railgun OR a screen darkening effect coupled with railgun's loud charge sound letting them know they are about to get hit (whichever effect the devs choose to go with is upto them), this effect will give them enough time to react before getting hit.

Buff to flamethrower : exponantional damage when on fire and receiving damage from flamethrower.

This will force heavy to close distance and use environnement to their advantages (even tho most maps are now only made for long distance fight).

Increase its range back to 10 meters: Same range as open beta, its pretty much the only thing it hasnt gotten back. Increase overall DPS by 10: This will still leave it doing much less damage than most weapons, but at least it will be killing a medium faster than 3 seconds.

This will also force a change in strategy with other weapons for different class by making heavy with flame oppressive (Going in close range to get a kill against flamethrower is kinda dumb).

this games tournements will be ass if it is 4 teams fucking every team will try to 3rd party. Embark doesn't listen to his community when it comes to ranked. 0 changes made about it other than seeding stuff. Total changes made is: season 1 had flat rs earns to placement you end up then they said it doesn't makes sense a finished game having this pre alfa ass ranking system. Then they did the arrow thing no one knows what it is based on. Probably close to the system we have now. Which is seed ranking. Which is dogshit. There's a bug going on with the riot shield that makes it really hard for me and my friends to deal with in indoor fights, making it to where bullets are being blocked when firing at what would normally be an opening. I assume it's simply that we aren't seeing the same holding animation was the player we are facing, but many players are using this in ranked and it really kills the fun for us when we think we are about to fire on an opening just to find out that the bullets are hitting what looks like nothing. If you guys could fix this, me and my friends can have a good time again, because that single bug has kinda been the kicker for us. We love the game, just hate losing fights due to bugs. Much love.

i feel like the sr-84 should be consistent at all ranges, whether hit scan or projectile it doesn't matter. Its annoying to use, having to figure out on the fly whether i should lead or not. This obviously isn't an issue at the extreme ranges(both very close and very far) but at the range its most commonly used it can be frustrating and it turns me off from using the weapon at all.

Do you know what 'Survivorship bias' is? It’s a logical fallacy where people only focus on those who made it through a selection process while ignoring those who didn’t. When only the players who managed to adapt to using melee weapons are still using them, of course the remaining stats will look good because only the successful ones are left. Anyone who wasn’t good at using melee weapons would’ve just stopped playing them. That’s why, objectively, there have always been fewer melee users than gun users.

So making balance decisions based solely on stats without playing the weapon yourself is absurd. The fact that only a few people are using it means it’s already a weapon for experts. And if only experts remain, of course the stats will look good. And If people are asking for a nerf, it usually means they don’t even use the weapon themselves. Look at Pike. It’s one of the strongest weapons right now, but you don’t see nearly as people crying for a nerf. Why? Because the majority of this game’s players are mediums (actually embark says). And naturally, people don’t ask for nerfs on weapons they like and use themselves.

But I’m NOT saying Pike should be nerfed. What I’m saying is that the other weapons should be buffed to the same level.

Instead of nerfing, just buff the alternatives. That way, the players who use those weapons don’t feel unfairly punished, and those using other weapons will enjoy having more competitive options. Everyone wins. So why do you only nerf? Nerfs should be handled with surgical precision, not through nonsense like slashing a weapon’s dmg by 25%.

Fighting against niche weapons requires a different approach than fighting against guns. But instead of adapting, a bunch of dumb players keep whining for nerfs because they can’t be bothered to change their gadgets or playstyle. You must stop listening to nerf whiners.

Sword needs a 140 dmg lunge. Those original stats existed for a reason: melee weapons needed them to function properly.

Day 8 of asking embark to please let us use the reserve in ranked :c, it would mitigate the frustration a lot of people have with certain weapons with out the need of nerfing them, it would allow for niche and fun loadouts to be more present in ranked, for that same reason more people would be willing to try new weapons in a serious matter, for example if you've been practicing with the R357 but still feel insecure about your ability to use it effectively you could just bring it and if you don't feel you're ready then you could swap for a more familiar weapon, and I think it will improve the health of the game over all

TTK needs a revamp. I see a lot of weapons getting used solely for the purpose of faster TTK. For instance, light users tend to go for the throwing knives or double barrel because the TTK on those weapons is higher than the others, and doesn't alter light gameplay. The same can be said for every other contestant, people tend to go for the TTK weapons and it results in an overusage of those weapons. CL40 for example. The weapon isn't only sort of an odd one out in the medium weaponry, but it has higher TTK than other medium guns by a longshot. Instead of nerfing guns or buffing guns, TTK should be balanced better, I've on multiple occasions found myself losing an entire AK mag and not securing a kill, I shouldn't have to dump an AK mag and then reload just to finish off the person I'm fighting, I should be able to miss a couple bullets and still get my kill. I also think medium should have some kind of submachine gun.

As for CL-40, I honestly think it is just the latest witch hunt when it comes to this community. As someone who has experienced this multiple times (im a sword user), I don't want a weapon gutted beyond belief again. Even if that weapon literally counters my playstyle.
At the end of the day, I want this game to be more than just ARs. Sorry thats "cope" in your mind. Maybe go find a better one.

Newplayers and Oldplayers alike would benefit of a more selective matchmaking system.

A new-comer would not be dismayed after getting taken out constantly(as often) while they learn the game, and our beloved veterans would not have to deal with teams of people who hold their guns the wrong direction(as much).

I understand the point of quickplay is to be quick, but a slightly longer time looking at the very busy lobby screen or refining a loadout would be worth it for the game's long-term health. as a new contestant myself i expected The Finals to have more of a "triangle shaped" demographic(lots of new players, good amount of intermediates, etc) due to it's unique and flavorful experience that no other game offers, however, i believe it is how it is due to the newplayer experience, leaving mostly a dedicated playerbase instead of a healthy, wide base of new participants, who in this case leave after thinking the game is not for them.

in short, i believe a more "advanced" matchmaking system would, in the long-term, help the game significantly. Please, feel free to add to this or discuss this further, do keep in mind i have no technical knowledge of how such a system would be implemented, i am simply a contestant that wishes that The Finals never truly finalize.

In ranked their should be ban 1 specialize restrict or gadget, so with 4 teams at the start each team 2/3 votes choose 1 specialization or gadget, that specialization/gadget is not blocked for the game session but restricted to 1 per team.
so if one team bans winch a triple heavy squad only one person has a winch
if one team bans defib a triple medium can only have 1 person with defib
if one team bans dash a triple light only one light can dash

the whole point of E V A S I V E dash is to be E V A S I V E or to E V A D E enemies, it's a compensation for the low health of lights, it's there for the same reason why light has 2 movement specs and one that makes the light invisible (to E V A D E). The specialisation brings nothing to the team and it there specifically for the light. Goo gun is fine the way it is because it requires the ability to aim for it to work properly, and the cl40 only really works well if you hit body shots on anything other than a light. But I do agree that there should be more animations for the shak tho

If the Sword’s lunge doesn’t go back to 140 dmg,it’s just useless.If it’s under 140,you can’t use it against Medium or Heavy at all. and always countered by lights, whether before or after the nerf.
If you can’t kill a Light, you definitely won’t be killing Medium and Heavy. What’s meant to help Light usually ends up favoring Medium and Heavy more.

You must stop listening to nerf whiners.There’s no end to the nerf whiners’ whining. When something they wanted nerfed without any real balance reason(dislike cause skill issue) gets nerfed,they just move on to whine about the next thing.
These skill-issue players cry for nerfs to weapons they don’t use or can’t handle. even though they already have all tools and weapons.

About Double Barrel, you nerfed it, then reverted. Because Light has low HP, so needs high DPS. DB is only viable up close, and it should 2-tap Heavy. That was correct, so reverted.
The same goes for Sword. As with the DB, you need to correct the mistake here this time too. Now, Sword has the worst TTK compared to any other weapon. Sword was built around close-range and Light’s low hp. it required specific dmg combinations for each classes.so lunge was 140 dmg.

Light should die to lunge + quick melee,
Medium to 2 lunges or lunge + m1 + qm,
Heavy to 2(lunge + qm) or 2 lunges + m1.
This is the most ideal.

Quick melee combos naturally happen with all melees, and you intended it that way because they’re necessary. It just increases the skill ceiling.
Melees need to be strong at close range. Just like melee can never compete against guns at long range, it makes sense that melee should strong up close range.
Melee has to hit a certain dmg threshold to even be viable. Since melee must has to get up close to the enemy, offense is always the best defense. The only way to improve the survivability and viability of melees is to give them enough dmg.

FLAMETHROWER REWORK SUGGESTION
Flamethrower has been vastly underperforming for seasons, and considering the weapon is almost identical to the weapon it was back in OB, it’s about time for it to recieve some major changes.

  • Increase its range back to 10 meters: Same range as open beta, its pretty much the only thing it hasnt gotten back.
  • Increase overall DPS by 10: This will still leave it doing much less damage than most weapons, but at least it will be killing a medium faster than 3 seconds.
  • Rework the "ADS" into an Alternate fire:
    - Alt Fire launches a fireball projectile that detonates on impact. Does 70 on a direct hit, trickles off to 30 damage at minimum range. AoE of 3 meters. Costs 5 Ammo to fire, RoF of about 90 RPM. Projectile is about as heavy as current Anti Grav Cube (no "sniping" people with fireballs)
    This would give Flamer a bit more utility and viability at range, without completely invalidating its primary fire.

SPEAR REWORK SUGGESTION
Spear as it stands just isnt working. The spin is a fun idea but its too high commitment, and far too easily punished or whiffed. It’s a fun idea but it needs to go.

  • Alt fire is replaced by a spear throw:
    -upon alt fire, Heavy "charges" a spear throw (similar to how TK alt fire works) allowing them to throw a 100 damage spear projectile, with the same weight and speed of a CL40 grenade.
    This gives spear some utility no other melee can claim, allowing heavy to follow up kills that would otherwise get away from him. Though the DPS would obviously be rather low to punish spamming.

KS-23 REWORK SUGGESTION
The KS23 has been in a sore spot since its addition, what little times its stood in the spotlight very swiftly nerfed out of existence, and in the state its in, its been very cruelly power crept out in lieu of other, more reliable close range options like the SA12 and the minigun. More than anything its main gimmick of being an accuracy weapon that isnt perfectly accurate has lead to it having significant issues, and i think more than anything, that needs to go.

  • Primary fire has been changed from a single projectile to a ten pellet spread. Triangular "ten pin bowling" arrangement.
  • Each pellet does 10 damage each, and 100 structural each. (maybe 11-12 each but i know we want to avoid QM "kill combos, though my opinion on that is we should just let lights die fast)
  • Reload now uses the "double shell" animation regardless of if the weapon has been emptied or not: speeds up general reload time when weapon isnt emptied
    This change would give the weapon more reliable consistency in combat without sacrificing its main gimmick of destruction. Failing that JUST MAKE IT PERFECTLY ACCURATE LIKE CMON

Oh and like, just make the MGL grenades explode on player contact. Like cmon, TF2 figured this shit out 17 years ago.

QOL gateway suggestions:

Currently there are three issues with the gadget that I keep hearing when asking in-game, on twitch and discord servers.

The first one is difficulty of following the range icon after one node has been thrown out. That's due to the nature of the game, having to constantly look around, it can take a second to find the marker on your UI after an action packed moment, it would be easier to spot, *if the range counter was moved above gadget's icon in player's hotbar *- as presented in the professionally made concept picture https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/847876645242798100/1393906621230485535/gatewayMeter.png?ex=6874e034&is=68738eb4&hm=11815461e7f2decd1e47ba6ff7869295d157670623b33ff326bd6db1fb85806d&=&format=webp&quality=lossless&width=281&height=293

Second issue is that there's only one way to cancel your own gateway - it's to run out of the 70m range, which in most fights is impossible cause you're leaving your team for certain wipe. I think introducing a mechanic like with the turret/healing emitter where you can remotely recall it would fix this problem, although I can see that those mentioned before are deployed from a tablet and gateway already has use for alt-fire, maybe interact key while holding the gadget after one node is thrown out could work, or introduce an additional keybind for it.

Last one is connected to teamplay. Gateway provides a lot of outplay potential, sometimes one sneaky gateway can make or break a fight, when that gateway is thrown into the sky it can be tricky to ping. Currently if you're dead center on the inactive node your ping will go through it marking a spot 2.5km away. Adding a collision box just for the ping system to the gateway would make it so you can ping the gateway so your team can play accordingly.

The “Challenging Lobby” for the losing team should not cost more than -100 rating. Why are we, playing at Platinum and Gold ranks, matched against a top-10 stacked team and losing -500 rating? In these lobbies, only the top team decides who advances, not us.
Why doesn’t the game prioritize finding equal lobbies? We queued for less than 2 minutes and got thrown into two Challenging Lobbies in a row with Rubies.

Suggested Solution:

Rubies and Diamonds should get their own special lobbies, where matches start directly from semifinals or finals. You only need to find 12 or 6 players instead of 24. A top 10 stack with a 95%+ winrate is not okay in ranked mode
The game should aim for fair and balanced competition, not 30-minute noob farming with griefing and choosing your opponent for the next round.

Can you change it so you can spin the minigun barrel while nullified? Because when you get nullified, you can't aim or shoot and when it ends, you're dead before you can even get a bullet out because you have to wait for the nullifier to end before you can spinning the minigun barrel.

Another fix could be to let us aim and shoot while nullified, but just make it so the shots don't do any damage.

Basically, nullifier is a free kill on Heavy Minigun.

Hi!
I’m experiencing an issue with server selection in THE FINALS. Despite having my region set to Europe in the game settings, I’m frequently connected to servers in Saudi Arabia (e.g., IPs like 34.166.89.XX), where my ping exceeds 100ms. This makes the game nearly unplayable due to severe delays in actions and gunfights.

The problem occurs in both ranked and casual matches. Sometimes, I start a match on a European server (e.g., in the Czech Republic), but after advancing to the next round, I’m suddenly redirected to a Saudi Arabian server. The high latency makes it impossible to aim or react properly, putting me at a major disadvantage.

I’ve used ExitLag to identify the server locations, confirming that the game intermittently routes me to distant servers.

I’d greatly appreciate any help resolving this, as it severely impacts my gameplay experience.

  • Add a report option " Sabotage " in the report section IG when people leave or AFK on purpose.
  • Let us choose our sight weapons at the beginning of a game
  • Random charm list for weapons/gadgets. EDIT : Can we just choose our random skin & not all our skins ?
  • We shouldn't lost point in ranked when a team mate leave the squad and didn't play during the round
  • Let us invite friends or join them in group even if we are not the group leader
  • Add the possibility to look at the banner of friends & recent players.

**⚖️ For balance ⚖️ **

  • Nerf CL40. For real this time
  • Revert the nerf of the XP54. What's the point of putting XP at 16dmg when M11 (an other SMG) do the same, faster & with more bullets ?
  • Rework Nulifier (again) : When you get it by the "Taser" your recoil is increased but you can still move as you want and you take 5 dmg/sec by the electricity during 3 sec. Can hit multiple target when you shoot.
  • You shouldn't be able to right clic sword + dash. This double dash is unfair
  • Increase the hip fire the CB01-Repeater
  • Rework Vanish Bomb. Make it start regen instant. It will increase survability for the Light & it can be use for your teammates too !
  • Reduce the radius of the reflect of the Dual Blade or let us shoot in the feet or something else to let us counter DB when you got an AR like Riot Shield.
  • Nerf the range of the KS23. You can put 100 dmg at 20m.
  • Nerf PIKE to 48 dmg instead of 50 dmg.
  • Rework defib: Reduce the cooldown reset to 5s and give 100HP instead of 50% of your HP. It will force Medium to revive safer !
  • Rework Sonar: Scan 5 times instead of 3 but if you don't move it can't scan you
  • Winch & lockbolt shouldn't do 5 damages. It's already strong enough
  • Rework the ARN into a real AR ? Slower RPM but much more DMG. Something like the FCAR for example.
  • The effort to play Light correctly is too damn high compared to Medium & Heavy class. There is no fun at all playing Light. Meanwhile Medium spam with CL40 and Heavy are unkillable with the new heal. When will we see a META with Light ? Share with us your data on all class. Light are getting vanish by 80% of the weapons in your game and can't get a proper 1v1 without get instant kill. You destroyed the stun gun. You destroyed the XP54. Everyone viable weapons or gadget has been destroyed by other class because they can't track properly an other class with 150HP.

  • Improve your netcode / tickrate or I don't know what ! Dying behind cover it's one of the most frustrating thing in The Finals
  • Flamethrower and hook should NOT get you through walls, doors and farer than it should be
  • Sword, dagger, DualS or all other melee weapon feels unfair when you think you're out of range and die anyway
  • Having good connection = Death behind wall, door & anything else.

Your balancing is full of contradictions.

Let me spell it out for you:
A melee weapon is called that because it only works at close range.
And because it’s so risky to get in close, it’s supposed to be powerful up close.
There are already plenty of tools and weapons to stop someone from getting close.
If someone manages to get past all of that and closes the range, it’s only fair they win in close range.

Saying “melee weapons can never compete against guns at range, so why aren’t guns nerfed?” is obviously nonsense.
Just like this, nerfing melee weapons because they’re strong in melee is just as ridiculous.

Instead of nerfing, just buff the other weapons. That way, the players who use those weapons don’t feel unfairly punished, and those using other weapons will enjoy having more competitive options. I have the ultimate pass and the level 96 skin is a little disappointing, it looks great but It has very little customisation, you cant put on anything on it basically, you can change the head, hands, feet, emblem, and some lower back items but that's it I was hoping I could use the top half of the skin and have like some trousers or something or the other way round, other than the head being the major customizability.

Having a more individualized score in Ranked is a must in this game. The fact that teams are funneled through rounds makes it impossible for a good player who's placed on a team with two bad or average players to carry the entire game in the 3 rounds.

But they'll be punished equally.

alright I've had enough of this, please explain to me why my support SPECIALIZATION cant full heal a heavy contestant, but a light player can do it with a GADGET at 10 times the speed. I get the nerf was supposed to adjust this but the rate of healing the H+ infuser can literally out heal all incoming damage instantly. As a ruby support main since beta this type of balancing is questionable. Why is support being given to the other classes when the medium is literally marketed for it, the Healing beam was nerfed into the ground because it was "allowing for cashouts to be stolen way to easily while being healed". Ask any high rank player how they would deal with stopping an H+ steal without interupting or moving the cashbox. Im not against it, however, give the medium some shields I dare you not to take it out of the game, or maybe a balanced version of recon that alerts visible players and cannot see crouching contestants. Or even better, put 350 hp in the heal beam tank.

ive thought hard and long on how to potentially make world tour less painful and more like the casual version of ranked it was always meant to be,

there are 2 solutions that i have found:

increase the amount of points gained and base points reward on placement, not rounds qualified (i have a graph to back this up but no image perms)

this fixes the frustration of the extremely steep point reward curve, if you place 3rd it feels extremely frustrating because you were super close to getting a huge boost in the points awarded and now you have to try again in a whole other match starting from 2 points gained.
the jump from 8th place to 3rd place is realy small and the jump from 3rd to 2nd or 1st is really big.

or

reward 1 point for every 10k cash earned

this would do: fix griefing, earning cash has an actual meaning, every team tries to get as much money as possible instead of just trying to qualify, its no longer all about qualifying, would make the grind easier for people who are skilled, would make wt revolve more around the core of the game

to compensate for the huge influx of point gain, increase the point requirement for the ranks but not by too much

i really hope we get more changes to world tour since the gamemode is massively flawed

If the Sword’s lunge doesn’t go back to 140 dmg,it’s just useless.If it’s under 140,you can’t use it against Medium or Heavy at all. and always countered by lights, whether before or after the nerf.
If you can’t kill a Light, you definitely won’t be killing Medium and Heavy. What’s meant to help Light usually ends up favoring Medium and Heavy more.

You must stop listening to nerf whiners.There’s no end to the nerf whiners’ whining. When something they wanted nerfed without any real balance reason(dislike cause skill issue) gets nerfed,they just move on to whine about the next thing.
These skill-issue players cry for nerfs to weapons they don’t use or can’t handle. even though they already have all tools and weapons.

About Double Barrel, you nerfed it, then reverted. Because Light has low HP, so needs high DPS. DB is only viable up close, and it should 2-tap Heavy. That was correct, so reverted.
The same goes for Sword. As with the DB, you need to correct the mistake here this time too. Now, Sword has the worst TTK compared to any other weapon. Sword was built around close-range and Light’s low hp. it required specific dmg combinations for each classes.so lunge was 140 dmg.

Light should die to lunge + quick melee,
Medium to 2 lunges or lunge + m1 + qm,
Heavy to 2(lunge + qm) or 2 lunges + m1.
This is the most ideal.

Quick melee combos naturally happen with all melees, and you intended it that way because they’re necessary. It just increases the skill ceiling.
Melees need to be strong at close range. Just like melee can never compete against guns at long range, it makes sense that melee should strong up close range.
Melee has to hit a certain dmg threshold to even be viable. Since melee must has to get up close to the enemy, offense is always the best defense. The only way to improve the survivability and viability of melees is to give them enough dmg.

A melee weapon is called that because it only works at close range.
And because it’s so risky to get in close, it’s supposed to be powerful up close.
There are already plenty of tools and weapons to stop someone from getting close.
If someone manages to get past all of that and closes the range, it’s only fair they win in close range.

Saying “melee weapons can never compete against guns at range, so why aren’t guns nerfed?” is obviously nonsense.
Just like this, nerfing melee weapons because they’re strong in melee is just as ridiculous.

Instead of nerfing, just buff the other weapons. That way, the players who use those weapons don’t feel unfairly punished, and those using other weapons will enjoy having more competitive options. Now, I might be bias (I am) but dematerializer is a bit too useful of a gadget in the cashout gamemode. It's ability to instantly defend cashout with 3 charges along with its already amazing utility outside of cashout defence makes it just a bit of a must have on any team.

Winch always has been a really unfun to fight against, and besides it's not even the melee users that have the most reward with it imo. The fight between heavy melee and lights is such a finicky problem because if you buff either side to make the matchup more fair the mediums will suffer from it aswell. biggest issue with melee is that if it is good its not fun to play agaisnt and when it is bad, it sucks. Biggest issue I see with melee is that it is not a solo pick option, which in my opinion is fine with me. I dont think melee is just inherently bad in the Finals it is just annoying. Ppl get mad when they get 1 tapped by a dagger, or get discombobulated by a sword. Some people think riot shield is broken and other thinks it sucks. The sledge meta was cool but it got repetitive and the spear is just a worse sledge. Dual blades are bad. However, there are definety situations where I can see all of those weapons being viable but it purely depends on teamwork (and in some-most cases, matchups). I think melee is cool in the finals but it is defiently hard to balance. Honestly, I feel like an option could be to just remove quick melee for some weapons to nerf some ttks but that can also just run some weapons into the ground. Also I noticed a lot of ppl are complaining about specific gadgets--it is not possible for a gadget to be sh*t for some1 and garbadge for some1 else. It is all on matchups. Yes, some matchups are downright impossible but it is important to play around them.

ive had an idea for a new heavy specialization - the cannon! ive played sword a lot and it feels like the one from sea of thieves, so it could be cool if the other main combat element from that game was also here. the cannon would be planted on the ground and would not be movable by normal means. it would need to be manually operated and would be slow to load and aim, but you would be able to fire it multiple times. the cannon balls would deal high damage and would destroy walls easily. you could also insert vaults or barrels into the cannon and fire them. you could also launch teammates with it which would be funny, tho youd need someone to operate the cannon for you

Do you know what 'Survivorship bias' is? It’s a logical fallacy where people only focus on those who made it through a selection process while ignoring those who didn’t. When only the players who managed to adapt to using melee weapons are still using them, of course the remaining stats will look good because only the successful ones are left. Anyone who wasn’t good at using melee weapons would’ve just stopped playing them. That’s why, objectively, there have always been fewer melee users than gun users.

So making balance decisions based solely on stats without playing the weapon yourself is absurd. The fact that only a few people are using it means it’s already a weapon for experts. And if only experts remain, of course the stats will look good. And If people are asking for a nerf, it usually means they don’t even use the weapon themselves. Look at Pike. It’s one of the strongest weapons right now, but you don’t see nearly as people crying for a nerf. Why? Because the majority of this game’s players are mediums (actually embark says). And naturally, people don’t ask for nerfs on weapons they like and use themselves.

But I’m NOT saying Pike should be nerfed. What I’m saying is that the other weapons should be buffed to the same level.

Instead of nerfing, just buff the alternatives. That way, the players who use those weapons don’t feel unfairly punished, and those using other weapons will enjoy having more competitive options. Everyone wins. So why do you only nerf? Nerfs should be handled with surgical precision, not through nonsense like slashing a weapon’s dmg by 25%.

Fighting against niche weapons requires a different approach than fighting against guns. But instead of adapting, a bunch of dumb players keep whining for nerfs because they can’t be bothered to change their gadgets or playstyle. You must stop listening to nerf whiners.

Sword needs a 140 dmg lunge. Those original stats existed for a reason: melee weapons needed them to function properly.

People are frustrated against melee because you never know how the attack hit you, especially with sledge and sword. So if you improve registration and readability, even the stubborn players will be less inclined to ask for infinite nerfs since they can see clearly how they got defeated. But right now everything regarding melee is just ridiculously bad

Dual blades gets very inconsistent deflects and even changes behavior depending on the class it’s up against L/M/H within 1-4 meters. If the center crosshair is on the target, it may be better switching to hitscan when under 5meters (only) - can’t tell you how many times I get a cross hair on center chest of a target close up, but everything counts as a glancing shot

Not necessarily asking for hitscan, just considering viability for players trying out the blades, rather than focusing on a “aim at the head” meta.

Since we've had a player customization overhaul and stuff with the new backgrounds and badges and stuff. it would he cool if we had older season related rewards as backgrounds! The same way season 1 players got "season 1 supporter" banners and backgrounds. Instead it would be for diamond and stuff! badges would probably be a lot harder since it would also need to know who was where when the season ended.. for every player... so I think starting with the backgrounds (like you guys did for season 3 rubies!), would be nice for older season diamond players :)

Id love a light specialisitation thats full support instead of movement. A hacking spec has been mentioned allot and I think that would fit light. Something that makes them more of a backliner then a flanker. Think cyberpunk hacking.

And on the other side of the coin id love for a medium specialisiation thats focussed purely on movement. There where talks about a gel gun on reddit that seems very cool. Basically goo gun but with propulsion gel from Portal 2. Painting the floors in slippery gloop that allows players to run faster. Giving a cool spec for medium melee, but also to another tool to move the entire team around faster.

If the Sword’s lunge doesn’t go back to 140 dmg,it’s just useless.If it’s under 140,you can’t use it against Medium or Heavy at all. and always countered by lights, whether before or after the nerf.
If you can’t kill a Light, you definitely won’t be killing Medium and Heavy. What’s meant to help Light usually ends up favoring Medium and Heavy more.

You must stop listening to nerf whiners.There’s no end to the nerf whiners’ whining. When something they wanted nerfed without any real balance reason(dislike cause skill issue) gets nerfed,they just move on to whine about the next thing.
These skill-issue players cry for nerfs to weapons they don’t use or can’t handle. even though they already have all tools and weapons.

About Double Barrel, you nerfed it, then reverted. Because Light has low HP, so needs high DPS. DB is only viable up close, and it should 2-tap Heavy. That was correct, so reverted.
The same goes for Sword. As with the DB, you need to correct the mistake here this time too. Now, Sword has the worst TTK compared to any other weapon. Sword was built around close-range and Light’s low hp. it required specific dmg combinations for each classes.so lunge was 140 dmg.

Light should die to lunge + quick melee,
Medium to 2 lunges or lunge + m1 + qm,
Heavy to 2(lunge + qm) or 2 lunges + m1.
This is the most ideal.

Quick melee combos naturally happen with all melees, and you intended it that way because they’re necessary. It just increases the skill ceiling.
Melees need to be strong at close range. Just like melee can never compete against guns at long range, it makes sense that melee should strong up close range.
Melee has to hit a certain dmg threshold to even be viable. Since melee must has to get up close to the enemy, offense is always the best defense. The only way to improve the survivability and viability of melees is to give them enough dmg.

  • Improve your matchmaking in World Tour. No more Solo VS tri-stack
  • Add "steps" in reload animation so when you climb on something during a reload, it's not completely reset.
  • Add a report option " Sabotage " in the report section IG when people leave or AFK on purpose.
  • Let us choose our sight weapons at the beginning of a game
  • Random charm list for weapons/gadgets. EDIT : Can we just choose our random skin & not all our skins ?
  • We shouldn't lost point in ranked when a team mate leave the squad and didn't play during the round
  • Let us invite friends or join them in group even if we are not the group leader
  • Add the possibility to look at the banner of friends & recent players.

  • Nerf CL40. For real this time
  • Revert the nerf of the XP54. What's the point of putting XP at 16dmg when M11 (an other SMG) do the same, faster & with more bullets ?
  • Rework Nulifier (again) : When you get it by the "Taser" your recoil is increased but you can still move as you want and you take 5 dmg/sec by the electricity during 3 sec. Can hit multiple target when you shoot.
  • You shouldn't be able to right clic sword + dash. This double dash is unfair
  • Increase the hip fire the CB01-Repeater
  • Rework Vanish Bomb. Make it start regen instant. It will increase survability for the Light & it can be use for your teammates too !
  • Reduce the radius of the reflect of the Dual Blade or let us shoot in the feet or something else to let us counter DB when you got an AR like Riot Shield.
  • Nerf the range of the KS23. You can put 100 dmg at 20m.
  • Nerf PIKE to 48 dmg instead of 50 dmg.
  • Rework defib: Reduce the cooldown reset to 5s and give 100HP instead of 50% of your HP. It will force Medium to revive safer !
  • Rework Sonar: Scan 5 times instead of 3 but if you don't move it can't scan you
  • Winch & lockbolt shouldn't do 5 damages. It's already strong enough
  • Rework the ARN into a real AR ? Slower RPM but much more DMG. Something like the FCAR for example.

The effort to play Light correctly is too damn high compared to Medium & Heavy class. There is no fun at all playing Light. **
Meanwhile Medium spam with CL40 and Heavy are unkillable with the new heal. When will we see a META with Light ?
** Share with us your data on all class. Light are getting vanish by 80% of the weapons in your game and can't get a proper 1v1 without get instant kill. You destroyed the stun gun. You destroyed the XP54. Everyone viable weapons or gadget has been destroyed by other class because they can't track properly an other class with 150HP.

  • Improve your netcode / tickrate or I don't know what ! Dying behind cover it's one of the most frustrating thing in The Finals
  • Flamethrower and hook should NOT get you through walls, doors and farer than it should be

  • Having good connection = Death behind wall, door & anything else.

RP in Ranked Mode should be granted based on the amount of earned money instead of just placement. This will make some sense for teams to fight till the end instead of griefing other teams. Also this will make an actual placement for each team instead of 5/6 and 7/8 places

FLAMETHROWER REWORK SUGGESTION
Flamethrower has been vastly underperforming for seasons, and considering the weapon is almost identical to the weapon it was back in OB, it’s about time for it to recieve some major changes.

  • Increase its range back to 10 meters: Same range as open beta, its pretty much the only thing it hasnt gotten back.
  • Increase overall DPS by 10: This will still leave it doing much less damage than most weapons, but at least it will be killing a medium faster than 3 seconds.
  • Rework the "ADS" into an Alternate fire:
    - Alt Fire launches a fireball projectile that detonates on impact. Does 70 on a direct hit, trickles off to 30 damage at minimum range. AoE of 3 meters. Costs 5 Ammo to fire, RoF of about 90 RPM. Projectile is about as heavy as current Anti Grav Cube (no "sniping" people with fireballs)
    This would give Flamer a bit more utility and viability at range, without completely invalidating its primary fire.

SPEAR REWORK SUGGESTION
Spear as it stands just isnt working. The spin is a fun idea but its too high commitment, and far too easily punished or whiffed. It’s a fun idea but it needs to go.

  • Alt fire is replaced by a spear throw:
    -upon alt fire, Heavy "charges" a spear throw (similar to how TK alt fire works) allowing them to throw a 100 damage spear projectile, with the same weight and speed of a CL40 grenade.
    This gives spear some utility no other melee can claim, allowing heavy to follow up kills that would otherwise get away from him. Though the DPS would obviously be rather low to punish spamming.

KS-23 REWORK SUGGESTION
The KS23 has been in a sore spot since its addition, what little times its stood in the spotlight very swiftly nerfed out of existence, and in the state its in, its been very cruelly power crept out in lieu of other, more reliable close range options like the SA12 and the minigun. More than anything its main gimmick of being an accuracy weapon that isnt perfectly accurate has lead to it having significant issues, and i think more than anything, that needs to go.

  • Primary fire has been changed from a single projectile to a ten pellet spread. Triangular "ten pin bowling" arrangement.
  • Each pellet does 10 damage each, and 100 structural each. (maybe 11-12 each but i know we want to avoid QM "kill combos, though my opinion on that is we should just let lights die fast)
  • Reload now uses the "double shell" animation regardless of if the weapon has been emptied or not: speeds up general reload time when weapon isnt emptied
    This change would give the weapon more reliable consistency in combat without sacrificing its main gimmick of destruction. Failing that JUST MAKE IT PERFECTLY ACCURATE LIKE CMON

Oh and like, just make the MGL grenades explode on player contact. Like cmon, TF2 figured this shit out 17 years ago.

I feel like in general the close range weapons and medium shotguns need to be looked at, they take too long to kill people and it’s frustrating to loose fights at point blank range to people with rifles and smgs simply because my weapon could not do enough damage fast enough to kill them.

Like it just feels unfair that I need to get 4 model shots off (or hammer swings) perfectly (which I have to land all of at my optimal range) to kill someone point blank who is hosing me down with 40 bullet clips (that they only need to land 1/2 of). Especially when they could kill me just as easily from 40 meters away.

It makes it so all the time you put into positioning yourself to get in range to kill someone with a melee doesn’t matter, cause now your damage isn’t even high enough to kill them when they are in range! Never have shotguns and melee weapons felt so bad to play with, they need some love embark. (Except the light double barrel shotgun, that one is fine )

World Tour feedback:

Replace Win Points with total cash earned.

Progress through WT by how much cash you earn, not just for qualifying/winning. This rewards good play and reduces griefing, since teams would want to earn cash for themselves, even if they’re in first place. It’s a fairer, simpler system plus it's what the leaderboard is based on anyway.

1.Winch range is too great. It should not hit on the way back, makes no sense, how can it grab. It's like a stun gun 100+ dmg free unless 1 hp. It can pull into enemy team. It can move objects especially cashouts into the open so it's super hard to steal. Stun gun was removed because it often "guaranteed a kill", yet the winch does the same. + all the listed abilities it is too strong. 2.CL40 is too strong, dmg you could say is okay (100dmg I think a bit too high). It can move cashouts (push them off sth for ex) and flick away trophies so you can't revive. It instantly destroys most gadgets (mines, sensors) and turrets etc. very fast. It does immense building dmg, destroying the structure under or around you very fast so you fall or lose cover (everything destroyed is very annoying). It's also splash dmg so you can hit behind cover, over things or multiple people. So same problem here, too strong with all the added benefits and a pita. 3.Akimbo is too precise, makes no sense as you are holding two pistols without aiming in down sight/through scope, every game makes akimbo weapons unprecise for a reason, you usually get the added benefit of shooting faster and having lots of total bullets (maybe add some). 4.Pike 50 dmg little too high imo. 5.Demat is way too strong, poof wall gone and back again (player disappears to flee). it can make others fall into the team easily. It can provide an instant window to shoot through (infinite angles). It is very strong at following players that are vulnerable as you cut through the wall. It has the mega strong ability of dropping a cash, then you flee/drop it on a pad to fling it/deploy gas mines, makes it frustrating for the enemy team stealing and you waste a lot of time with this. It can usually with the help of a winch or pad, easily fling the cash away to an easy spot. It can create a hole for enemies to fall into as a defensive move. 6.Same spawns are ruining matches as you easily camp them, worst in the final round. 7. LAG

yo Embark not sure why this is still a thing but the controls for ascend and descend on controller for the free flight cam when your team is dead have conflicting controls.

DESCEND and PING are both Left Bumper and simultaneously activate.

This leads to frustration for the player and their teammates, because you end up looking like a troll who is just pinging nonsense to intentially be annoying and grief the vibe of the game.

PLEASE make it both left trigger and right trigger AND ALSO A and B (as it was originally)

LT RT is the best binds for this for most people, but having double binds for A and B also will please claw players too. Thanks 🙂

I love the addition of the "random skin" feature for our weapons, but I would like it to be a bit better fleshed out. Ideally I would love a "random from favourites" option, where we could add skins, charms, stickers, etc to a list of favourites and use a random one from that. Lots of weapons now have a few skins I love and own, but going "random skin" per game feels a bit dull when I get "flat brick red paint job."

And because it’s so risky to get in close, it’s supposed to be powerful up close.
There are already plenty of tools and weapons to stop someone from getting close.
If someone manages to get past all of that and closes the range, it’s only fair they win in close range.

Saying “melee weapons can never compete against guns at range, so why aren’t guns nerfed?” is obviously nonsense.
Just like this, nerfing melee weapons because they’re strong in melee is just as ridiculous.

Instead of nerfing, just buff the other weapons. That way, the players who use those weapons don’t feel unfairly punished, and those using other weapons will enjoy having more competitive options. Everyone wins. Nerfs should be handled with surgical precision, not through nonsense like slashing a weapon’s dmg by 25%.

Challenges should be something the INDIVIDUAL is in charge of. ATM the challenges is based on the luck of draw. Besides that its a fun event.

Why even repeater exists while there is pike doing everything 2 times better. Has better range dmg, kills every class faster, has the same hs multiplier, reloading isn't weird, doesn't have weird dmg numbers flat 50 dmg almost every range. Only + is it has a better burst to finish kills off when enemy thinks they are fine. I guess most of it pike being op but you can't kill heavies with repeater man. 3.12 seconds on body shots if we don't count melee and flamethrower (which is a multi hit + fire dmg gun + you don't even need to aim + you don't even need to see just aim over the barricade gun) it is the lowest ttk for it.
Pike needs a fire rate nerf or dmg drop off nerf.
Other than that claw it busted. After this: Winch Claw will now force players it hooks into the ‘uncontrolled’ state, adjusting the victim’s bullet dispersion and recoil as if they were falling from a building (I might remember it wrong but this was the change made sledge left click melee with claw almost un dodgeable.) change you can't deal dmg while being clawed. Directly no regs. This makes lights can't do anything not even dmg before dying when get winched. Akimbos directly kills you in the stun duration with 3 hs. Which is not that hard to do just need to pratice and it will be always the same thing because you are getting them to the same height. It is not the way most players play on top ranks because they are just using sa or shack because it is easier and they much better at close range. Other than that it has a buggy hit box there are bunch of clips where people get clawed behind the walls.

Weapon Balance -
CL40 should have more splash RADIUS, at the cost of less damage and having projectile damage (if you hit someone directly) for more overall damage. E.G; 70-90 splash damage with extra projectile damage on top of that and rewarding patience.

Pike is once again in meta so this is the change that it needs. Higher damage (like the 57-58 it had on launch) HOWEVER, Decrease the RPM of the weapon. This will push the weapon to be used at range more and will also prevent it from easily instant killing lights from near uncontestable ranges. Pushing the weapon more as a DMR rather than a very good fast firing shotgun at least for lights specifically.. getting 3 tapped at the speed at which it can from 30+ meters is not very fun gameplay, and giving the pike back its stopping power while making the rpm slightly lower would keep it powerful in the way it matters.

Dagger, the ability to run while charging up the dagger and the 180 degree angle, and the ability to tap charge the dagger like throwing knives. Genuinely one of the biggest quality of life's this weapon needs.

Sword, Just bite the bullet and give it back it's thrust damage, however LOWER the thrust damage based on the targets it hit in order. E.G; A light sword lunges through 3 people, the first person hits for 140 (or whatever you feel is necessary), then the next hits for 110, and the last 90 and so on and so forth. Have it scale down with more targets you hit as for it's damage to not be overinflated.

Sledgehammer, increase the swing speed. If you want the damage to be where it is, it needs to reliably be able to kill targets when you actually have the chance to be in range, it is a melee weapon. Increasing swing speed even just a little would go a mile.

Spear, Honestly just a little more range is what it needs I feel, especially on the first swing, the inconsistent ranges with each attack definitely is a weakness to its strength.

Double Barrel, this is a very delicate weapon and can easily teeter on the edge of being unusable. My suggested change is SLIGHTLY tweak the range and spread to require you to be a little close for instant kills SPECIFICALLY. What I mean by this is have a certain amount of pellets somewhat stick close to the center as normal, and have the "instant kills" or health break point pellets spread further out. If the weapon has 15 pellets, have the last 4-5 pellets be further away from the center, requiring a melee range to instant kill but keeping its effectiveness as a jump in shotgun.

DAMAGE RANGE REWORK (KINDA), Add a small 2-3 meter range where traditional weapons (Like AKM, FCAR, XP, M60, Lewis, etc and not off meta picks like throwing knives and shotguns), do more damage in that small range to compensate for being overwhelmed in an unwinnable scenario. Example: Lets say you have an AKM, and while its damage is very average, if you're in a position where you're fighting a weapon that easily out bursts you as quickly as it does, like double barrel for example, if you can't find a way to leave the weapon's range then having a 1 to a few damage increase to some of these weapons in 2-3 meters would make people less critical of close range weapons as a whole and as a result of this you can also increase the effectiveness OF closer ranged weapons like shotguns and melee weapons to be more oppressive since the traditional automatics and semi automatics now have a more viable damage within that 2-3 meter radius. Everyone wins, and the weapon is not overpowered for longer ranges and stays as it is.

I know Embark probably won't read this but, please do something to make the game enjoyable for casual players, playing quickplay and getting railed by meta running diamond ranked stacks, toxic sweats and grouped up streamers as a solo isn't fun at all. When a specific weapon shows increased usage, it means everything else that was actually usable has been nerfed. It’s not like it suddenly became OP and people started using it.
If you make other weapons viable, their usage will naturally go up while the usage of the previously dominant ones goes down.
Nerfs are not the only way to balance a game. Buffs are a better valid option.

please, stop with the nonsense about nerfing dmg for the sake of Light. That doesn’t help only Light. It affects every class and ends up making weapons useless.
If you can’t kill a Light, you definitely won’t be killing Medium and Heavy. What’s meant to help Light usually ends up favoring Medium and Heavy more.

About Double Barrel, you nerfed it, then reverted. Because Light has low HP, so needs high DPS. DB is only viable up close, and it should 2-tap Heavy. That was correct, so reverted.
The same goes for Sword. As with the DB and others you need to correct the mistake here this time too. Now, Sword has the worst TTK compared to any other weapon. Even though it's a melee weapon. Sword was built around close-range and Light’s low hp. it required specific dmg combinations for each classes.so lunge was 140 dmg.

Light should die to lunge + quick melee,
Medium to 2 lunges or lunge + m1 + qm,
Heavy to 2(lunge + qm) or 2 lunges + m1.
This is the most ideal.

Quick melee combos naturally happen with all melees, and you designed them because they're necessary. It just increases the skill ceiling.

Melee weapons need to be strong at close range. Just like melee can never compete against guns at long range, it makes sense that melee should strong up close range.
Melee has to hit a certain dmg threshold to even be viable. Since melee must has to get up close to the enemy, offense is always the best defense. The only way to improve the survivability of melees is to give them enough dmg.

Talking about a few things I would like when it comes to cosmetics:

Would love an option to toggle or equip armor plate vests on other tops

Battle pass should have an ultimate option that only costs $20 without the tier skips (I still bought it but really dont like that im almost done with the battlepass so quickly)

The basic colored tops and pants that cost like 100 M.B. should just be in the level up career path instead of the badges, like you guys dont even have to go crazy with it just more simple color T-shirts, hoodies, sweaters, jeans, ect. could all just be in that path instead of 100 mb that no one is going to drop unless for a specific costume. This is an idea that sort of encompasses a little of everything heavy is designed to do, something between charge and slam, winch claw, and mesh shield.

Upon ability activation, heavy enters a half second “wind-up” animation where he gets ready to rush forward. On completion, heavy lunges up to 5 meters in the direction of his crosshair, with the intent of colliding with either structure or a player.

Upon colliding with a breakable structure, heavy will rip a chunk of the wall out, bracing it as a shield. For up to ten seconds, heavy will hold it in front of him as a 500 HP barricade, blocking enemy fire from their knees to their neck. Heavy can move and aim the shield about as if he was holding up a mesh shield during this time, though their movespeed is notably reduced. If the specialization input is pressed at all during this time, heavy will throw the rubble forwards, dealing 100 damage and high structural damage to whatever it hits. The rubble has weight similar to the grav cube, meaning you can’t throw it very far.

Upon hitting an enemy, heavy will lift and immediately throw the enemy the same way they would a rubble chunk, with the same mass. Upon collision with anything, that enemy takes 100 damage. If they hit another enemy player, both take 100 damage. If they hit a breakable surface, they will break through it, taking the damage then. Enemies cannot break through more than one structure per throw. Enemies caught by the throw cannot shoot while heavy is holding them, or until they land.

This specializations short range and requirement to connect will give it decent skill requirement, but high skill expression, and significant versatility in lots of scenarios.

I think the random weapon skin option needs a tweak.

First off I think we should be able to select what skins go on rotation, if I chose to make my skins random it’s usually because I want to get to see all my fancy slkins, not the default skin or the progress ones.

Another thing that is just what I think would be cool is if the skins were randomised for every time you die. I just feel like waiting until the next match is a bit too long

Beating people up with bamboo stick in open beta is what got me into the game and I can never do that anymore, you reduced sledge hammer to building deconstruction weapon, it loses against every other melee weapon and you have no range against guns.
Same with frag granades, nerfed every character for no reason and they already had decreased value with the reduced amount of mine charges.

Dear Embark, I don’t know if this suggestion/issue/idea was already mentioned, but it would be really handy to be able to invite people to your party directly through your club. So for example, my club is getting bigger, all the people in the club are people who I actually added. I can always invite them through friends hub. But if it comes playing together without my presence, there are some issues since you can only send a request for a certain game mode that lasts 15 minutes? I almost never used that feature. Since I saw many game mode request in the chats and people were still saying that they weren’t joined, I did a small research. I found out that most of them don’t even see that invite, because it’s not clearly shown that someone sent a request (especially if you are in game at that moment).

I feel like this is a huge barrier if it comes to connecting with each other and actually playing together. Because you are basically ‘forced’ to add each other in order to play (besides the request mode thing). And even tho if club members are my friends, I’m still not able to do anything through the club, except for deleting from the club OR deleting from friends. So I can delete them from my friends list through club, but not able to invite through club hub to my party 🤔 so I think the option of inviting to party through club will make everything much more simple and give people chance to connect without forcing it.

The blastoff upper body should (or rather could) be compatable with crossbody and upper back options (and by extension general goodboy)

When you go into blastoff with those equipped they are compatible but you cant equip them together in main menu.

I've spent >200€ because I believe__d__ in The Finals.
Again, your balancing decisions makes no sense! Ranked needs also a lot to improve (fair Matchmaking, Griefing).

LOOK AT YOUR PLAYER COUNT! I blame your Design Director Matt for this. After Brink and Dirty Bomb - The Finals don't deserve to die. Fix the core problem: Balance and Tournament mode and nothing else! Nobody cares for weekly cosmetics. Everybody is waiting for balance and ranked changes.

It will be a hand emote for the left hand (As every other hand emote) which tosses a coin (With a very satisfaction sound effect, like the ULTRAKILL's one) and then grab it in the air and the emote finishes

It would be so cool since, the enemies get coined, it would be a very gentle but cool flex

Please remove doubling 5/6 or revert plug cash gain in ranked cashout, absolutely every game now double with grief it's so annoying. Second make improvements for soloqueue, constantly get two teamamtes who just get into plat and they get absolutely crushed in lobby, give us the option to wait longer but get more precise teammates in terms of rs score

Embark, please, invest in advertising and content creators from Latin America. There's a huge audience here who played at launch but didn't return during the booms that followed.

Entering a ranked queue in SA will make you wait 20 minutes, and I'll wait 15 minutes to find World Tour.

So I have to change the region to NA, and it's really hard to play with a 150+ ping in this game. I see a huge investment in advertising for other regions, but nothing here.

You're nerfing a weapon just because it's frustrating to die to?
Getting killed is frustrating no matter what weapon it is, So what now? Nerf every weapon until no one can kill anyone? Or maybe just turn the game into a non-lethal genre?
Weapons are supposed to kill.

You say, “we definitely believe that melee needs some work to improve its viability”
but then you turn around and nerf it anyway?
So you know melee is weak, and your “some work” is to nerf it further? That makes so much sense.

Meanwhile, Pike, a ranged weapon, outperforms actual melee weapons at melee range.
Your balancing is full of contradictions.

Let me spell it out for you:
A melee weapon is called that because it only works at close range.
And because it’s so risky to get in close, it’s supposed to be powerful up close.
There are already plenty of tools and weapons to stop someone from getting close.
If someone manages to get past all of that and closes the range, it’s only fair they strong in close range.

Saying “melee weapons can never compete against guns at range, so why aren’t guns nerfed?” is obviously nonsense.
Just like this, nerfing melee weapons because they’re strong in melee is just as ridiculous.

Instead of nerfing, just buff the other weapons. That way, players using the weapon you were about to nerf won’t feel unfairly punished, and players using everything else will enjoy having more viable and competitive options. Everyone wins. Nerfs should be handled with surgical precision, not through nonsense like slashing a weapon’s dmg by 25%.

Admitting a mistake and fixing it right away is nothing to be ashamed of. What's truly shameful is refusing to acknowledge the mistake and making things worse. No one’s going to blame you for correcting a wrong. Do something that’s actually not shameful, pleeeease.

As a casual player, I actually need to take a break at this game, it’s at the best boring, at the worst frustrating. The game is now just full auto weapons, no more shot guns (except db yey!), no more melee, no more funzies gadget attachment. Ingame events are getting very repetitive. The last gamemode event is a big disappointment.

The only thing that has changed is the cl-40, just a nerf, witch does not solve the fact that the weapon stay a frustrating weapon for the enemies and the user at the same time. I think there is a lot of balance that needs to be done on some weapon like M11/XP/ARN to really separate the gameplay. Model and dual blades can actually be deleted of the game at this point. And the gameplay of heavies is more about hiding somewhere to surprise the enemy than it is to be a tank. And much more, but anyway, last point :

Bugs. Just bugs everywhere. Weapon handling, weapon animation, not being able to move, not being able to heal, not being able to reload. Animation triggering by themselves cancelling whatever you are doing. And of course, Hitreg. I don’t know what happened, but it’s the big frustrating part of the game. Seeing you’re KS bullet hit the enemy (showing particules and stuff) and not counting… damn… not talking about dagger that that works when it shouldn’t and doesn’t when it should, same for winch. You got the point, all of that, is just frustrating. Feels like it is worst than S1 ? Nonetheless, love the game, be back for sure. Just not playable for my kind.

Make a map practice sever where u can have no cool down spec cause using grapple hook on maps r too much fun

Within the match teams often play another game which is light class using grapple hook to carry cashbox and race to the corner of a map far from cashout,it would be a fun event where u just hold on to cash box race against other teams and it's all about maneuvering through the entire map and platform just to hide cash box or pass it your teammates

Make each spear spin manual so there is skill expression and u r not stuck at spinning and u won't get any suggestions from others and they don't touch the damn spear

Friends are still waiting for me to tell them matchmaking is active or been reworked. We are talking 10+ players here.
You are missing out on nearly 90% of friend groups because the matchmaking is playing in the mud with the pigs..
edit: i havent touched ranked in this game and i wont touch it ever. the playerbase skill level is ugly.

Ranked should definitively be two separate matchmakings - one for triple stacks and one for solo/duos
Right now solo or even duo is quite pointless as almost all lobbies you will have multiple sweaty 3 stacks who play the game 10 hours a day, advancing past plat becomes near impossible

Yeah I'm more into matching parties vs parties than regular SBMM that would make every game sweaty, which made loads dislike COD.

My main theory as to why this game doesn't have more players is that most ppl who game hop on solo. This game is very punishing for solo players.

Talking mainly quickplay and WT btw. Ranked should be full on SBMM.

@grizzled glacier Yeah newer players should def have their own pool at least. But idk if that isn't already the case? Quick Cash was quite easy for me in the beginning as a solo. Now it's just pure madness with 3 stacks in every lobby 😅

I've really enjoyed the new contestant voicelines as of late!
I have noticed that requesting revive is always in a female voice, not sure if it is intentional, but the higher pitch in voice sure makes it easier to hear if someone needs the revive for sure
