・Minigun - Increase Structural Damage by 33%, revert recent buff to spread.

・Pike - Damage Reduced to 48

・Revert all changes done to quick-melee weaving between shots / actions. This was a great mechanic for skill-expression, and also felt very good to use, tune the weapon damage numbers instead of changing good mechanics.

Light breach charge needs to break smaller holes that’s enough for lights to peek and shoot or go through and don’t leave large open holes like it already does and besides no one needs that level of destruction and it’s almost NEVER used!!!!!
Make damage STACK at least close to season 1 breach charge.

Add a flare gun that leave trails like the colourful purple smoke/sparkle if stuck on players and does small burn damage and sparks damage player teammates nearby,leaves more smoke if flare is stationary so it’s also a long range smoke bomb,it’s duel purpose.

Make the bomb event a new gameshow event. It adds to the chaos a LOT and it's AWESOME. Most of my "Epic moments" happen in this event. We get to experience the collapses a lot more frequently.

Here is a list of weapons that need to be buffed but not make them meta in the next balance patch

Spear: enable the ability to cancel the spin attack animation, For controller players, they need to press L2 or left trigger to cancel it and for mouse and keyboard players they need to press right click, increase the basic attack damage combo to 75, 85, 95 , increase spin attack damage to 120 or make it ramp up damage eg: 115, 125, 135.

KS-23: increase the projectile speed to 500m/s, add a 1.2x headshot multiplier, increase the environmental damage so we can two shot most walls, I know it's a shotgun but it shoots slug rounds and this will reward players for hitting headshots with the KS-23

Riot shield: increase the swing speed by a little bit

R.357: increase the bodyshot damage to 75, decrease the headshot multiplier to 1.9x therefore making it 75 × 1.9= 142.5

Dual blades: add a parry mechanic so when swinging the blades you can hold the deflect button to parry the bullets and increase the final attack damage from 65 to 70

CL-40: increase shell capacity to 6

AKM: increase magazine capacity to 34, 35 or 36, the choice is yours on what number you choose

ARN-220: increase the fire rate to 750 rpm, decrease the duration of the tactical reload animation from 2.45s to 2.30s, decrease the duration of the full reload animation from 2.80s to 2.60s

  1. Server issues

  3. People mistaking it as a “facestab” when Light dashes behind them, flicks, and stabs the back
    It made an already bad, niche, and inconsistent weapon even more bad, niche, and inconsistent.

GIVE THE CB-01 REPEATER THE SCOUT SCOPE! The CB-01 repeater is in a weird spot where it's not really better than other weapons at any range. The Famas has the same range but less of a risk and basically the same reward, is INFINITE times better at close range + has the reflector sight which zooms in a bit extra than the other sights. And at longer ranges the pike is way better and has less damage drop off than the repeater, yet is also better at close range. I think giving the repeater the scout scope would make it a more viable pick, and gives the player a reason to pick it over the famas that right now outshines the repeater in all fields. The repeater would still have less range than the pike, meaning that at range it can no longer 2 shot lights, and has to 3 shot like the pike does, meaning the repeater will have way worse time to kill at range than the pike does which would make giving the repeater the scout scope balanced. This change would give a reason for players to sometimes pick the repeater over the Famas, yet still makes the pike more effective than the repeater at longer ranges since the ttk would be better. If this is'nt a possibility than please give the repeater the Reflector so it can at least have a bit more zoom.

the finals used to be my go to game. i literally played it almost every day but with the re-re-reintroduction of the exploitation machine I get a bad taste in my mouth every time i go to boot up the game. I'm uninstalling. I just absolutely can not support a studio that exploits the people who put food on their table. i think im going to try hell divers since they've shown to be extremely consumer friendly. even going as far as to defy sony to help their players. (INSTEAD OF EXPLOITING THEM)

I don't mind the wheel that much. I wish it was a bit more fair, but the stuff is free. I don't think giving people free stuff really constitutes "exploitation". You get three tries a day, with a >10% chance of earning a legendary skin on every pull. The contracts aren't difficult either. They aren't forcing us to grind and aren't forcing us to pay, it's literally just gambling without having to pay for it.

Add claymore sword for medium class,primary attacks r wide swings 170 degrees and holding alt attack blocks half the damage and deflect only a few but releasing it after holding it does a downward slash and the higher the damage the higher u fall so u can use dematerialise spec to attack players downward and surprise attacks,good combo with jump pad for very high damage,claymore has more to do with positioning rather then combo which duel blades is quicker at combo

Wishlist for Saved Outfits:

  • Along with outfits, also saving weapon, expression and playercard customizations (at least the background).
    • In the current state, I feel like nothing have changed compared to previous seasons as every time I want to switch to another outfit, I still have to manually switch weapon and gadget skins, charms, stickers, animations sometimes, and all kind of expressions.
  • More than only 24 slots.
    • I filled them all on day one, and ever since I've been struggling to make more and new sets as there's simply not enough slots to have fun with. Nor can save premades like the frog set to switch on the fly in-game (which would also desperately need for skins, spray, emote etc. to be saved with it, not just the outfit). Same for duplicates, just not enough room to duplicate anything due to the limited amount.

I come from a game called Spiral Knights, an old mmorpg java game on life support which allows you to save an "infinite" amount of loadouts. So only seeing 24 slots, and not every customization gets saved with it, feels extremely limiting, so please remove these limitations and my money life is yours. hug_friend

Embark keeps ignoring cheating reports over and over again and cheaters are rampant in casual lobbies in SA. Crazy uneven matches and low level accounts beaming with SMGs from across the map and prefiring on every person that comes out of a corner or cover. This is going to destroy the game in SA.

I like how XP-54 feels rn in terms of gameplay rn - it feels satisfying to use and downs players quickly.

Taking a look at the other guns, I think the other weapons also (for the most part) feel good to use and fulfill other unique roles. The XP-54 is good as an all-rounder and I'm ok with it staying that way. My only suggestion is to reduce its ammo capacity slightly - it's become obvious that many players of multiple skill ranges run it because of how versatile it is and fulfills so many different roles on the fly.

Maybe reducing the mag capacity by a small amount may make it less dominant without gutting its overall killing ability. I'd say a change like this would make it so that there is a greater skill gap in using the weapon - at lower levels, players will miss a couple of shots, giving their opponents time to react and retaliate when they reload. At higher levels, this won't matter too much cause players won't miss as much - the only difference is just a small amount of greater downtime, which could be an interesting tradeoff against other weapons.

I love this game, but with how easy it is to use such toxic weapons and easily kill people things need to change. Swords for example, are still good, and yet you still have bots complaing and wanting it reverted. I am sorry you can no longer get free easy kills, and you have to try a little more than before. Impact GL should not exist in this game. Its only fun to the person weilding it, and nothing but annoying to everyone else. Same goes for all melees. Coming from a light player, mp5 needs tuned down range wise. There is zero point to use the ARN. Zero. The expensive mine dropping is insane. You should have an arming animation to activate the mines, to lessen the aggressive unpredictable throws that cant be avoided.

Reddit is full of crazy people who say dagger is a broken weapon. Reddit is always full of people with skill issues who say other weapons and classes are OP. They’re idiots who’ve never played anything outside their own weapons and classes. Listening to them and making balance patches is completely ruining the game.

It is obvious that Light has low health so DPS should be high, but there is no one on Reddit who can understand this fact.

Speaking of Double Barrel, you guys from Embark lowered the damage of Double Barrel and then reverted it back. Because Light has low health so DPS should be high, and the Double Barrel is a weapon that can only be used at close range, and Heavy class has to be 2-tapped. This is right, so it was reverted. But now Reddit is crying about nerfing Double Barrel. They gaslight other users by claiming that any weapon they don’t use doesn’t require skill.

The same goes for Sword. Especially, the damage nerf of melee weapons is basically saying “don’t use this weapon.” It’s a death sentence. It’s the same as the Double Barrel situation. Sword relies on close range and Light’s low health, and had specific damage combinations for Light, Medium, and Heavy. If you lower the damage of Sword, it becomes complete garbage because it is not the damage that Sword should deal.

And since Light is a counter to Sword, Sword isn’t even a source of frustration for Light players. Many nerfs say they are for Light users, but almost all of them are for Mediums. Medium, the most powerful class in The Finals, has the most players, and Medium is the most popular class in WT and ranked matches. Stop gaslighting people into thinking these nerfs are for Light users.

Spear: enable the ability to cancel the spin attack animation, For controller players, they need to press L2 or left trigger to cancel it and for mouse and keyboard players they need to press right click, increase the basic attack damage combo to 75, 85, 95 , increase spin attack damage to 120 or make it ramp up damage eg: 115, 125, 135.

KS-23: increase the projectile speed to 500m/s, add a 1.2x headshot multiplier, increase the environmental damage so we can two shot most walls, I know it's a shotgun but it shoots slug rounds and this will reward players for hitting headshots with the KS-23

Riot shield: increase the swing speed by a little bit

R.357: increase the bodyshot damage to 75, decrease the headshot multiplier to 1.9x therefore making it 75 × 1.9= 142.5

Dual blades: add a parry mechanic so when swinging the blades you can hold the deflect button to parry the bullets and increase the final attack damage from 65 to 70

CL-40: increase shell capacity to 6

AKM: increase magazine capacity to 34, 35 or 36, the choice is yours on what number you choose

ARN-220: increase the fire rate to 750 rpm, decrease the duration of the tactical reload animation from 2.45s to 2.30s, decrease the duration of the full reload animation from 2.80s to 2.60s

Ability to check other players stats : At least for Club creation purposes
Main Menu/Tournament screen Pose Selector : There are multiple poses the characters can do with every weapon in the game while in the menu/tournament screen, but it changes depending who's seeing it. It would probably be better if everyone saw their actual poses instead of each person seeing a different one
Character card custom pose selector : It would be nice if we could select our poses on our contestants cards, like a menu pose, or a specific frame of it, or a specific frame of an emote instead of a pre-selected one, etc
Let everyone see the characters getting rotated/spin on the menu : Reason: it would be very fun and funny, but alright that is more of a funny suggestion than a serious one

93r less time gap between bursts and slightly less fire rate of burst as each burst is so quick it might as well be on bullet being fired and buff damage to compensate for lower and manageable fire rate.So u can fire slowly to make it more accurate or keep firing it like an auto so u can switch between the two and u have flexibility.

Make dagger alt have one tap/click like before plus u can hold.

Ks23 need one wall penetration with lower damage after hitting the wall for balance,it needs slightly faster projectile speed and 1.2 head shot multiplier(mainly to deal with other heavies with minigun)

Flamethrower needs to put walls on fire when continuously firing as a defensive measure with low damage.

my game feedback is to not listen to the people who have no idea about the game and balance on here and on reddit, while they continuously call for nerfs on 1 weapon after another until it gets patched completely irrelevant to then jump on the next light weapon.. its a never ending cycle that has now reached the xp54 once again..
the xp is barely better than the arn, while the arn has 60 bullets and is better at high ranges. the m11 is better at close range and the fcar is barely worse while being on the 250hp class. they are just looking for excuses as to why theyre not able to kill a 150hp target in a 1v1 with their 350 hp..

I don’t know what has happened to the emote/comms wheel, but on controller it has a slight delay before it comes up, so you can’t stick-flick responses anymore. Especially on controller you have to stand still to say anything.
It’s bad enough you replaced Hype from the command wheel with a load of toss no one uses. But now you can’t even say hello or hype without standing still.

I think many will spend and buy the stuff in the beginning, if they know they can't play enough or if they just feel like it.

Is it really worth annoying your players for some to buy the stuff they didn't get at the end? You leave the wheel after we can't collect tickets anymore, so clearly that's what you want them to do.

I think every 4 duplicates should guarantee a new item. Sure you would make less, but maybe that's worth it instead of annoying so many players? You have the numbers.

The ks-23 needs 100% accuracy, any other buff is pointless

The ks-23 is the only direct hit projectile weapon that is not afforded the luxury of accuracy which is the main reason its suffering. In concept its great and i love the gun, but anyone who has played it for any significant ammount of time knows that its main point of frustration is its unrelieability. Because of the spread targets beyond 8 meters are a gamble to hit. The feature inplace to make it a skillful weapon is already the projectile, however this is ruined by the spread. You can predict your targets movement, lead your shot correctly but still miss because the game decided your slug goes left.

The only buff the ks needs to be good is accuracy. Buffs like range falloff or firerate wouldnt solve the underlying issue of it being frustrating to use beyond 8 meters, headshots without accuracy are pointless, damage is going to force winch ks back which was not very fun to die to. A bigger projectile would maybe work but decrease the guns skill expression.

Even with 100% accuracy the gun would be far from op due to the small mag and bad ttk. However it would be a lot more fun and a lot less frustrating to use

Honestly its sad to say But I want to quit the game, I know maybe you think Im just an hater like we could see but thats not true I was not playing since the beta I start at season 2 and I fall in love with the Finals balanced. Some meta were here like every games not all the guns was useful but The game was fun. after that we got some new seasons new things really cool season 4 was the best in my opinion but I was glad to see that the dev was working on the game and bring some content Im a really big fan of the finals but rn I have enough I would like to play the game hours and hours I have already 500hours but no I can't because of the SBMM I rly don't know if there is or just a lack of player but every game I launch Im against rubys And I never been ruby in my life not even diamond only plat and emerald 1 on last season 5 but Im not a big try harder Im just a guy with sometimes good aim and game sense, the game or SBMM think Im a pro of something I don't know but its not fun anymore I play a game and instant see rubys diamond in my game hard tryharding playing with sweat on them.
This is just horrible and its so annoying to love a game and want it to live but a t the same time you can't even enjoy the game anymore cause its unplayable to play with your casual friend and give them the will to play cause they play with my abusive SBMM. really Im not even exaggerate its every game like that not even one with mid player Im cursed

Add kusarigama for light OR MEDIUM class,primary attacks hit like sword but alt attack is u spin the chain and blade 160 degrees in front of u and most damage ONLY where blade hits NOT the WHOLE CHAIN,it’s skill based cause u hold down alt and the more u hold the longer u throw and only the blade part damages when spinning plus u can move your aim while spinning to make blade go in that direction,a mix of projectile and melee.

To simply put it,the melee alt is more like aim and shoot but use aim to move the blade and hit box.

There r two ways of implementing this,either the melee projectile starts from an arc from the left side and goes to the centre line and move as u change your aim or the projectile starts from the crosshairs and moves where u move your aim

U may change between the two using a different stance using the weapon inspection button or add more combos using that button.

Either u can’t use light spec when using alt or give this weapon to medium with a wall run gadget or else it’s the most dull experience chasing player as a medium

This has to stop. If we had in this game over 20 maps I would understand but its not fun to have BAD maps back to back in the map rotation making even players not wanting to participate in WT for a week and then to find out that map is in the next one, and then they give it a go and forced to play SySHorizon again and again and again and you realize its been 5 times in a row...

For the map convenience I, myself, would suggest for being able to have the option which maps the player is interested in playing in and unmark those that the player does NOT want to play, everyone free of their choice, even if its because the plyer basically dislikes the map or even because of performance issues.

I really hope the team at least give it a thought about this or Remake SySHorizon and Kyoto because the team did an **AMAZING **job remaking Vegas.

I just realized they not only did they steal proximity sensor from light, light is also the only class without explosive mines, (or any sort of mines)! We are also the only class that doesn't get any epic rewards from spec progression, and we haven't gotten a new spec since launch! Both of the others have gotten something new, but we're stuck with the same three from launch. Also, no grenade launcher on light :( Both other classes have one.

Reddit is full of crazy people who say dagger is a broken weapon. Reddit is always full of people with skill issues who say other weapons and classes are OP. They’re idiots who’ve never played anything outside their own weapons and classes. Listening to them and making balance patches is completely ruining the game.

It is obvious that Light has low health so DPS should be high, but there is no one on Reddit who can understand this fact.

Speaking of Double Barrel, you guys from Embark lowered the damage of Double Barrel and then reverted it back. Because Light has low health so DPS should be high, and the Double Barrel is a weapon that can only be used at close range, and Heavy class has to be 2-tapped. This is right, so it was reverted. But now Reddit is crying about nerfing Double Barrel. They gaslight other users by claiming that any weapon they don’t use doesn’t require skill.

The same goes for Sword. Especially, the damage nerf of melee weapons is basically saying “don’t use this weapon.” It’s a death sentence. It’s the same as the Double Barrel situation. Sword relies on close range and Light’s low health, and had specific damage combinations for Light, Medium, and Heavy. If you lower the damage of Sword, it becomes complete garbage because it is not the damage that Sword should deal.

And since Light is a counter to Sword, Sword isn’t even a source of frustration for Light players. Many nerfs say they are for Light users, but almost all of them are for Mediums. Medium, the most powerful class in The Finals, has the most players, and Medium is the most popular class in WT and ranked matches. Stop gaslighting people into thinking these nerfs are for Light users.

Light should die to lunge + quick melee,
Medium should die to 2 lunges or lunge + quick melee + left click,
Heavy should die to 2x (lunge + quick melee) or 2 lunges + left click.
That was the balanced state. 140 dmg.

The real issue is matchmaking that throws newbies and pros into the same matches.

But since 6.6 there are mayor performance issues. Beginning with some EAC issues (the same as in Arc Raiders) which have then been worked around, there are still framedrops, crashes and freezes.

Do a massive rework on kyoto many people experience performance issues or stutters on that one specific map due to the high amount of foliage the thick bamboo isn't fun its a pain the water is a pain aswell and makes it even harder to get into the few buildings on the map without taking alot of damage your basically selling if you bring a close range weapon to kyoto the map is a fun idea and i like it but its just not fun i believe the map could be fun if it was a bit more of japanese city with houses in every space but the current kyoto isnt fun one bit

Would love to see an option for Weapon ADS FoV.

For example, at the moment, at 100 FoV(maximum value), a red dot gets zoomed in to 78 FoV, approx a 1.5x zoom.

At 70 FoV, red dot gets zoomed in to 54 FoV, approx a 1.35x zoom

At 45 FoV, red dot gets zoomed into 35 FoV, about 1.3x zoom.

I would like options to bring my red dot FoV/Zoom anywhere between 1x and 1.5x(current max), so I could choose how much FoV is zoomed in when I ADS for each scope.

the final slash is now activated by holding down mouse one or right trigger and does however much damage you’ve built up converts 50% damage deflected into Melee damage
you also gain an extra 1m of lunge every 50 damage deflected
once you use the attack you cannot attack again until you deflect once you use the attack you lose all the damage and lunge range for this attack
main damage decreased to 10
increase main damage by 10 for every consecutive hit but if you miss the boost for the main damage is gone (and you also fall over for 1 second)(you need to hit both swords to get a boost)

You can now sprint while blocking and you can block all damage even fire the hit box is increased by 10% in all directions (while blocking melee you take 0% damage)

When i started playing this game in season 1 I was truly impresed. I thought it was one of the most balanced games I had ever played. So refreshing from the COD style game play where you had to have the most meta weapon to even matter. 20k kills and 750 hours later I struggle to enjoy this game. matchmaking has become a joke regularly getting teammates and opponents with giant gaps in skill level. I understand not everyone can be great players but placing new players against experienced players plays out poorly. The weapon disparity grows greater every season, gadgets have been nerfed to such an extreme that every game is now just a giant shooting match where the whole premise was objective based gameplay. Instead of putting limits on how many of each gadget can be used by a team or class limits they have just obliterated any opportunity to actually need to strategize.

As a data reshaper player, I would like for a few more objects to be added to maps like Las Vegas stadium, as without enemy specializations or gadgets to reshape, the data reshaper feels kinda useless. I feel like maybe allowing for things like heaters to be reshaped might do some good.

What is gravity vortex even for? There's no indicator that an enemy is near it, so the only way to get value from it is by sittting there and watching it (not something light should be doing). The only value it can get as a trap is by setting it on cashout, because you can hear a steal attempt. The vortex won't stop the attempt in any way, won't do any damage, and now you have to shoot them out of the air while they sway back and forth rather than just standing there. It has no movement capabilities, no trapping capabilities, is the most visible trap in the game, and has the longest priming time of all traps (I'm not sure about that last one). It could have been a grav grenade or a grav trap, either of which would have a niche use on light, but the fact that it's a remotely detonated trap ruins it. I hope it gets some kind of rework, because I have literally never seen an enemy use it, and all of it's limitations make it really hard to find a use for. How should I be using it?

I just realized you could throw it somewhere high, then grapple up there and float with a sniper! Oh wait... sniper has spread even while scoped in the air...

it certainly has trapping capabilities, you can use it quite offensively to notably hinder the movement of enemies. It's hard to use but definitely quite decent when it is used properly. And, yeah, very good stalling capability. They can be detonated really quite fast so also work as a defensive measure.
Also, bit niche but you can throw them on to map jump pads and detonate them in mid-air to catch enemies that try to go across and die :D

Here is a list of weapons that need to be buffed but not make them meta in the next balance patch

Spear: enable the ability to cancel the spin attack animation, For controller players, they need to press L2 or left trigger to cancel it and for mouse and keyboard players they need to press right click, increase the basic attack damage combo to 75, 85, 95 , increase spin attack damage to 120 or make it ramp up damage eg: 115, 125, 135.

KS-23: increase the projectile speed to 500m/s, add a 1.2x headshot multiplier, increase the environmental damage so we can two shot most walls, I know it's a shotgun but it shoots slug rounds and this will reward players for hitting headshots with the KS-23

Riot shield: increase the swing speed by a little bit

R.357: increase the bodyshot damage to 75, decrease the headshot multiplier to 1.9x therefore making it 75 × 1.9= 142.5

Dual blades: add a parry mechanic so when swinging the blades you can hold the deflect button to parry the bullets and increase the final attack damage from 65 to 70

CL-40: increase shell capacity to 6

AKM: increase magazine capacity to 34, 35 or 36, the choice is yours on what number you choose

ARN-220: increase the fire rate to 750 rpm, decrease the duration of the tactical reload animation from 2.45s to 2.30s, decrease the duration of the full reload animation from 2.80s to 2.60s

the new dagger skin is sick but dagger is so niche. why not let us change quick melee animation and have character stab with that new knife visually instead of elbow, let us use that new knife inspect, and still have quick melee damage unchanged? Here is a list of weapons that need to be buffed but not make them meta in the next balance patch

Spear: enable the ability to cancel the spin attack animation, For controller players, they need to press L2 or left trigger to cancel it and for mouse and keyboard players they need to press right click, increase the basic attack damage combo to 75, 85, 95 , increase spin attack damage to 120 or make it ramp up damage eg: 115, 125, 135.

KS-23: increase the projectile speed to 500m/s, add a 1.2x headshot multiplier, increase the environmental damage so we can two shot most walls, I know it's a shotgun but it shoots slug rounds and this will reward players for hitting headshots with the KS-23

Riot shield: increase the swing speed by a little bit

R.357: increase the bodyshot damage to 75, decrease the headshot multiplier to 1.9x therefore making it 75 × 1.9= 142.5

Dual blades: add a parry mechanic so when swinging the blades you can hold the deflect button to parry the bullets and increase the first swing damage from 50 to 55 and increase the second swing damage from 60 to 65 and lastly increase the final attack damage from 65 to 70

CL-40: increase shell capacity to 6

AKM: increase magazine capacity to 34, 35 or 36, the choice is yours on what number you choose

ARN-220: increase the fire rate to 750 rpm, decrease the duration of the tactical reload animation from 2.45s to 2.30s, decrease the duration of the full reload animation from 2.80s to 2.60s

Smoke Grenade: decrease the ammo from 3 to 2, and decrease the cooldown from 50s to 20s

I probably can't comment on this but I've just been learning daggers recently and I noticed a few things:

I think it's stupid that there is no movement speed buff with daggers (If there is it's so miniscule I cant even feel it), this makes it essentially impossible to stab a moving light class without dashes

Also add a dummy to the practice range that has really eratic movement I beg 🙏

World Tour and Ranked should just be merged. Having them separate just dilutes the player pool WAAAAAAY too much. Quick Cash is the mid ground casual scene and TDM is even more so casual. This is the first I've bothered to try look around at other gamemodes other than QC and TDM and there is little point to having such a bizarre spliting of the pool. Just merge WT and ranked. At the moment it's funny (and sad) how you cannot get into any ranked matches in OCE servers. The alternative of swapping to higher ping more active servers is not a valid solution. Screaming into the void here, but whatever. happy_friend

Embark, please make it so that VRs are used for stuff other than buying equipment. Like I can think in the top of my head things that can be exchanged for VRs:

Let us exchange it for stuff on wheels when the ticket acquisitions period is out
Let us re-roll and/or buy new contracts
Let us boost BP and/or Sponsorships
Let us exchange it for multibucks (this is the most ideal, obviously)

Even if the exchange rate is lop-sided at the very least its something to spend on. Just something, anything, for those who got everything unlocked and have a hoard of 5k VRs sitting; doing nothing.

The whole joke of making world tour was to make the game more casual and actually award normal playing. Before world tour you had no chance of getting anything by just playing what made it pretty unrewarding. I personally would love to see the wt system in other games. And if your problem is a low player pool on oce servers, it was even lower before. The introduction of wt boosted the player base in every mode, so you are welcome.

We need something of an overhaul to reviving and respawning.

we have defibs, tokens, and totem channeling, but reasonably lacking in reasons to use one over the others.
this leads to problematic gameplay like triple defib spam, or players completely ignoring totems and expecting you to use a token.
but then using a token can put you up to 170m in a random direction and often enough leaving you the only player up, making it a waste, after having to wait so long to use it.
and the safety and time required for a totem res leaves its use feeling like a regroup and go 3rd party the other fight tactic.

we need triangle reasoning for reviving.

Update after patch 6.6 :

Cheaters are spreading all over the game. A lot of wallhack and aimbot.
**Servers need an improvement fast. It's still boring to die behind a cover because your dash do not register correctly with the netcode. **
The META is full of Medium and Heavy + the Nulifier is a piece of junk.

For the game

  • Too many bug recently. Servers are worst and worst. I die behind cover more and more. I can't write after I reported someone
  • Why in WT, lose in final round against a tri-stack squad when I'm playing solo ?
  • Add "step" in the reload animation so when you climb on something during a reload, it's not completly reset.
  • Increase the netcode/tickrate/servers. Getting kill at 3m far from a hammer/sword or behind a wall / door / cover is not ACCEPTABLE. Servers can't register your movements
  • Perma ban cheaters
  • Add a report option " Sabotage " in the report section in game please.
  • Let us choose our sight weapons at the beginning of a game
  • Delete low gravity event. It's not fun AT ALL
  • Random skin and charm list for weapons/gadgets
  • We shouldn't lost point in ranked when a team mate leave the squad and didn't play during the round
  • Let us invite friends or join them in group even if we are not the group leader
  • Add the possibility to look at the profil/card of friends and recent players.
  • **Give us the possibility to customize rules in private match. Like "only M and Dual Blade", "only Light and SR84", "only marksman", "No heal, Light only and grenade only". You can imagine all you want and put it in private match for streamer and their community to make the game more fun **

** For balance **

  • Cerberus nerf is useless
  • REVERT CL40 BUFF. It's just in every game and it's not fun at all.
  • You shouldn't be able to right clic sword + dash
  • CB01-Repeater is just stupidly OP. Nerf the damage
  • Buff Vanish Bomb and make it start regen instant and/or. It will increase survability for the Light and it can be use for your teammates too !
  • Nerf Turret range.
  • Nerf proximity sensor range
  • Reduce the radius of the reflect of the Dual Blade or let us shoot in the feet or something else to let us counter DB when you got an AR
  • Nerf the range of the KS shotgun. You can put 100 dmg at 20m.
  • Nerf PIKE to 48 instead of 50 dmg. You know what you did in 5.8 with that.
  • LH1 nerf was to strong in 6.0. Buff it to 45 dmg.
  • Flamethrower and hook should NOT get you through walls or other.
  • Nerf the hammer like you did for the sword to 100, because > Winch + Hammer + Melee = Free Kill. Same with chains.
  • Revive and Objectives score should add additional points in ranked
  • Rework defib: Reduce the cooldown reset to 5s and give 100HP instead of 50% of your HP. It will force Medium to revive more safety !
  • Rework Sonar : Scan 5 times instead of 3 but if you don't move it can't scan you
  • Winch and lockbolt shouldn't do damage.

the best way to change sword is to:
change the dmg to 124 so it cant two tap medium
OR
change the dmg to 140 AND modify the multihit to decrease the number of dmg per hit (i.e. 140 —> 120 —> 95)

the fact that it cant one tap lights is bonkers and i dont even play sword

it is hard to change this thing cuz it is dominate in low level lobbies but niche in high level, but i feel like these nerfs would give a balance of both

No, seriously. Your reasoning is that light players aren't fond of the "one-shot combo"?
Allow me to present exhibit A: The SH1900. It LITERALLY one shot kills a light. The sword was a lunge AND a quick melee. Not saying to nerf it, but if your logic is "one shot kill bad", then clearly the SH1900 should get nerfed, right?
Allow me to present exhibit B: The Bow. A fully charged headshot can kill a light without any follow-up, yet that's totally fine.

I don't get it man. Why would we nerf the sword when there's GUNS that can do what it can do, better?

And if your reasoning for nerfing it isnt complete bullshit, then you should've focused more on the SH1900.

Hi, I am a colourblind contestant. I have Deuteranopia, which for those unaware is the red-green deficiency. I really appreciate that the team has considered players like me and added accessibility options, but unfortunately applying them puts me at an active detriment to my teammates.

Naturally the majority of players refer to team colours when communicating in-game. This works nicely because it is quick, simple and easy. Just saying what you see. Unfortunately for colourblind players like me this isn't always easy, and to make matters worse applying the appropriate accessibility settings changes the enemy team colours to completely different ones, meaning I am often calling out colours that do not exist on my teammates' screen.

An effective fix to this issue, in my opinion, would be the option to change the SHADE of each colour assigned to the enemy teams, as well as my own. For example making my team's shade of blue less washed out so that it stands out from the enemy pink team more. If we could have sliders for each team in the same way that the custom crosshair feature is implemented, that would be pretty awesome!

Add kusarigama for light OR MEDIUM class,primary attacks hit like sword but alt attack is u spin the chain and blade 160 degrees in front of u and most damage ONLY where blade hits NOT the WHOLE CHAIN,it’s skill based cause u hold down alt and the more u hold the longer u throw and only the blade part damages when spinning plus u can move your aim while spinning to make blade go in that direction,a mix of projectile and melee.

To simply put it,the melee alt is more like aim and shoot but use aim to move the blade and hit box.

There r two ways of implementing this,either the melee projectile starts from an arc from the left side and goes to the centre line and move as u change your aim or the projectile starts from the crosshairs and moves where u move your aim

U may change between the two using a different stance using the weapon inspection button or add more combos using that button.

Either u can’t use light spec when using alt or give this weapon to medium with a wall run gadget or else it’s the most dull experience chasing player as a medium

I feel like the wheel event needs an update, because in its current state it is extremely unfair. Even if you play every day and collect all available tickets, you aren't guaranteed to get all the rewards if you aren't lucky. And this could be even more unfair to people who aren't able to play every single day.

some fixes I and other people have talked about:

  • Up the ticket count from 3 per day to 4 or 5
  • lower the chances of getting a duplicate item
  • make it so tickets earned from ticket parts make it impossible to get a duplicate.
  • be able to use VRs to redeem extra tickets (could be limited per day to prevent people grinding it out day 1)

Reddit is full of crazy people who say dagger is a broken weapon. Reddit is always full of people with skill issues who say other weapons and classes are OP. They’re idiots who’ve never played anything outside their own weapons and classes. Listening to them and making balance patches is completely ruining the game.

It is obvious that Light has low health so DPS should be high, but there is no one on Reddit who can understand this fact.

Speaking of Double Barrel, you guys from Embark lowered the damage of Double Barrel and then reverted it back. Because Light has low health so DPS should be high, and the Double Barrel is a weapon that can only be used at close range, and Heavy class has to be 2-tapped. This is right, so it was reverted. But now Reddit is crying about nerfing Double Barrel. They gaslight other users by claiming that any weapon they don’t use doesn’t require skill.

The same goes for Sword. Especially, the damage nerf of melee weapons is basically saying “don’t use this weapon.” It’s a death sentence. It’s the same as the Double Barrel situation. Sword relies on close range and Light’s low health, and had specific damage combinations for Light, Medium, and Heavy. If you lower the damage of Sword, it becomes complete garbage because it is not the damage that Sword should deal.

And since Light is a counter to Sword, Sword isn’t even a source of frustration for Light players. Many nerfs say they are for Light users, but almost all of them are for Mediums. Medium, the most powerful class in The Finals, has the most players, and Medium is the most popular class in WT and ranked matches. Stop gaslighting people into thinking these nerfs are for Light users.

Light should die to lunge + quick melee,
Medium should die to 2 lunges or lunge + quick melee + left click,
Heavy should die to 2x (lunge + quick melee) or 2 lunges + left click.
That was the balanced state. 140 dmg.

The real issue is matchmaking that throws newbies and pros into the same matches.

I swear this game is so inconsistent at times when it comes to your footsteps, your teamates footsteps, and the enemies footsteps. Sometimes the enemies footsteps are so fucking quiet you wont even know that an enemy is already behind you, and sometimes your own footsteps are so loud t hat you can barely hear ANYTHING else in the damn fucking match. @earnest venture I still don't get why the wheels get so much hate. Take the free rewards you're getting handed, buy the items that you miss if you can, and really want to unlock the outfit. I did for the Halloween wheel, I didn't for the Valentine wheel -even though I had like 18 or 19 items out of 20. Delete defibs or do a complete overhaul comparable to what was done to the stun gun.

You could make defib work like a normal revive but faster, as in no charging the fibs up before you get to the body. This will make defibs in the open dangerous for the medium doing it, and thus will lead them to not troll their own team mates with bad revives.

Weakening the person being defibbed never actually encourages medium players to defib their team more safely, they just rush it and get you killed. You need to nerf the defibs not the person being hit with them...........

Also make defib sickness only effect other defib cooldown. reducing chain fibs was the stated goal of defib sickness and honestly it didnt succeed at that. It just made bad revives even worse.

I think all maps should have one unique variant. Monaco already has Duck and Cover, and Las Vegas (og/stadium) has dust bowl, and used to have turrets. Seoul should have lightning storms considering it’s a high rise, skyway stadium I’m not sure about, SYS_Horizon should have areas of the map that are completely corrupted and inaccessible/completely different, Kyoto should have flooding or maybe a typhoon, Fortune Stadium should have sponsor specific changes for each area of the map, and Bernal should have high winds or maybe tumbleweeds that have random effects when thrown

Hi, I am a colourblind contestant. I have Deuteranopia, which for those unaware is the red-green deficiency. I really appreciate that the team has considered players like me and added accessibility options, but unfortunately applying them puts me at an active detriment to my teammates.

Naturally the majority of players refer to team colours when communicating in-game. This works nicely because it is quick, simple and easy. Just saying what you see. Unfortunately for colourblind players like me this isn't always easy, and to make matters worse applying the appropriate accessibility settings changes the enemy team colours to completely different ones, meaning I am often calling out colours that do not exist on my teammates' screen.

An effective fix to this issue, in my opinion, would be the option to change the SHADE of each colour assigned to the enemy teams, as well as my own. For example making my team's shade of blue less washed out so that it stands out from the enemy pink team more. If we could have sliders for each team in the same way that the custom crosshair feature is implemented, that would be pretty awesome!

It absolutely needs -1 damage otherwise it will just be the OP M11 up close and haunt this game for another 2 seasons until you realise it needs more nerfs. Please just revert it, everyone who said it was weak were comparing it to the overpowered M11 and had no clue about good game balance. I'm not a pro or a die hard grinder but what I typically do is dodge the winch. I typically play sword or dagger meaning I am usually close enough to be in winch range and I beat the winch by moving unpredictably. If they don't land the winch it's pretty easy to run away. If you're playing light using dash/grapple to run as soon as you gain control after winching can work, with mediums you can just run away after the winch because they can't one shot you, and with heavies its more difficult to escape after being winched so you have to play more carefully. I would much rather fight as winch + sledge heavy than a light with xp or a medium with cerberus tbh

Here is a list of weapons that need to be buffed but not make them meta in the next balance patch

Spear: enable the ability to cancel the spin attack animation, For controller players, they need to press L2 or left trigger to cancel it and for mouse and keyboard players they need to press right click, increase the basic attack damage combo to 75, 85, 95 and increase the spin attack damage to 130

KS-23: increase the projectile speed to 500m/s, add a 1.2x headshot multiplier, increase the environmental damage so we can two shot most walls, I know it's a shotgun but it shoots slug rounds and this will reward players for hitting headshots with the KS-23

Riot shield: increase the swing speed by a little bit

R.357: increase the bodyshot damage to 75, decrease the headshot multiplier to 1.9x therefore making it 75 × 1.9= 142.5

Dual blades: add a parry mechanic so when swinging the blades you can hold the deflect button to parry the bullets and increase the first swing damage from 50 to 55 and increase the second swing damage from 60 to 65 and lastly increase the final attack damage from 65 to 70

AKM: increase magazine capacity to 34, 35 or 36, the choice is yours on what number you choose

ARN-220: increase the fire rate to 750 rpm, decrease the duration of the tactical reload animation from 2.45s to 2.30s, decrease the duration of the full reload animation from 2.80s to 2.60s

Smoke Grenade: decrease the ammo from 3 to 2, and decrease the cooldown from 50s to 20s

Make each spear spin manual so there is skill expression and u r not stuck at spinning and u won't get any suggestions from others and they don't touch the damn spear

The "need help" ping should display a small icon for all teammates with healbeam, showing where and how much health the player who calls for help is on. Similar to tf2. it feels entirely useless because even if I use it I just get ignored. This is mostly an issue in 5v5 modes.

I feel like LH1 should have the scout sights rather than reflector, being a DMR and all. You could give reflector to ARN instead, since that would help it play to it's range advantage more.

Also, please remove the spread from SR-84's shots while in the air (while scoped of course). I'm desperate to hit clips but I'm no good with bow! It's in a pretty bad position balance wise, so a buff that gave it more skill expression and less RNG couldn't hurt that bad.

You could also make being caught in gravity vortex as being grounded, since that would technically count as a nerf, but it would also allow for smarter use for positioning. Imagine being able to do this with a Sniper! (It is really laggy though)

Please revert sword back to 140 damage. Sword already has a large number of counters compared to most other light weapons, it didn't need this.
The damage was not a problem. It needs those break points to actually compete. Other light weapons can mow a light down in a second, sometimes less than that. I don't see why the sword, as a melee weapon, should take way longer. It makes no sense.
Also heavies were already pretty hard to kill with sword BEFORE the nerf, now they are almost impossible to kill by yourself. Why should I use a melee weapon that does less dps than every other weapon in the game, besides dagger left click? Its actually a waste of time to run it.
It just isn't fair that sword got nerfed for one shotting when every other weapon was far more of an offender for that, AT RANGE.
Revert the damage please. I want to actually enjoy the weapon I spent time mastering.

Make it so if we start a backstab within 120 degrees of a target then the backstab angle becomes 180 and stays the game if we start outside of 120 I feel like this would fix a lot of inconsistent backstabbing for when someone is scoped in shooting at a target they get jumped and then I miss my backstab not bc they noticed me but bc they changed targets and changed my angle to be outside of the 150 degrees

This wheel for skins is getting to be a real sore spot for me

I have not landed on a single cosmetic space in 2 days (yesterday or today) now that I have only 3 cosmetics left to earn. I have spun misses 8 times in a row (had 3 credits from previous misses and then missed all 4 from yesterday and then missed all 4 again today). Every day since the event began, I have gotten all 3 of my tickets like you want, and even flat out bought some of the cheaper skins to help reduce the numbers of cosmetics I need to win. Now I am worried I may have to risk waiting till the very last day to earn these skins. This is getting nonsensical.

This is feeling more like a scheme to pressure me into buying the remaining skins and draining the currency I have so I dont miss out on the "big reward" after sinking so much time into chasing it. It is well understood that you have a huge incentive to drain people's game currency just enough to make them not able to afford new battle pass's, but there has to be another way of doing this that doesn't seem so slimy. Everyone knows, save for maybe children, that nothing about that wheel is random, you chose when things pay out. It is clearly your intention to ensure I need nearly 10 tickets to get the last few items. This mean you are aware of how unlikely it is I that will complete this circuit in the time I am given. This feels deceitful and annoying.

If I was not booting up the game every day to win the tickets then that is one thing, but that is not the case. Perhaps it makes sense form a business perspective, but I hope people catch on to how this system is the furthest thing from being "just free skins bro". This is a shakedown that leverages the time I invest into the game trying to earn these cosmetics, all it does is put me in a bind to spend money. It becomes more clear each time I see runs of 6 to 8 misses in a row. Consecutive days of getting nothing is infuriating and quite telling.

The lack of a nerf in the midseason balance pass is irresponsible. There is no counter play, there is no other viable option for light (besides shotgun). If you're not picking XP, you're throwing. Light is in a very unhealthy spot in that regard. Worst part is that we've been through this with the XP before, and then the infamous buff out-of-nowhere that no one was expecting at a time when the XP was finally, for the first time, in a reasonable spot.

I just want to understand where the decisions are coming from. This cannot be based on actually playing the game against competent players. So what statistic is it?

I think turret is in a terrible place and needs a rework rather than a buff. Too many things hard counter it, and there are limited options to counter those counters. On top of that it struggles to lock on and falls over.

My idea:

Two weaker turrets

Can be thrown and quickly deployed just like a mine

360 visibility

Very low damage

Can be quickly grabbed at range and through walls for a reduced cooldown

I think this style of turret would not only add a lot more counter play to the turret, but also allow for much more creative set ups. Information gathering and zone lockdowns will be more effective while keeping the raw dps in check. To me strategizing with and countering the turret sounds a lot for fun and nuanced like this.

The wheel feels horrible, the dupe tickets return needs to be set to 2-3 dupes, not 4, 4 is too many. And sledgehammer destruction is in a horrible spot, there's way too many times where i right click with sledge and make a tiny hole i can't even fit through, and if there's double layered walls i can't even destroy them with sledge without having to right click twice, it's such a time waster especially for the melee weapon that's whole shtick is supposed to be destruction

But come on Embark, why are you dumping someone who’s playing his literal first match ever into a lobby with level 80+ players like me? It’s unfun for us, and it can’t be fun for the noobs either. Here is a list of weapons that need to be buffed but not make them meta in the next balance patch

Spear: enable the ability to cancel the spin attack animation, For controller players, they need to press L2 or left trigger to cancel it and for mouse and keyboard players they need to press right click, increase the basic attack damage combo to 75, 85, 95 and increase the spin attack damage to 130

KS-23: increase the projectile speed to 500m/s, add a 1.2x headshot multiplier, increase the environmental damage so we can two shot most walls, I know it's a shotgun but it shoots slug rounds and this will reward players for hitting headshots with the KS-23

Riot shield: increase the swing speed by a little bit

R.357: increase the bodyshot damage to 75, decrease the headshot multiplier to 1.9x therefore making it 75 × 1.9= 142.5

Dual blades: add a parry mechanic so when swinging the blades you can hold the deflect button to parry the bullets and increase the first swing damage from 50 to 55 and increase the second swing damage from 60 to 65 and lastly increase the final attack damage from 65 to 70

AKM: increase magazine capacity to 34, 35 or 36, the choice is yours on what number you choose

ARN-220: increase the fire rate to 750 rpm, decrease the duration of the tactical reload animation from 2.45s to 2.30s, decrease the duration of the full reload animation from 2.80s to 2.60s

Smoke Grenade: decrease the ammo from 3 to 2, and decrease the cooldown from 50s to 20s

Ability to check other players stats : At least for Club creation purposes
Main Menu/Tournament screen Pose Selector : There are multiple poses the characters can do with every weapon in the game while in the menu/tournament screen, but it changes depending who's seeing it. It would probably be better if everyone saw their actual poses instead of each person seeing a different one
Character card custom pose selector : It would be nice if we could select our poses on our contestants cards, like a menu pose, or a specific frame of it, or a specific frame of an emote instead of a pre-selected one, etc

1-Smoke grenade is so broken combined with Thermal Vision, Smoke have not a counter and you can spam it with another lights. I think smoke will be better with the next stats.

2-1 charge

3-Ten seconds actived

4-Smoke grenade is using to kill, I really think is necessary to use in only some situations.

5-To Steal a cashout with cover, to revive a teammate, to escape from a battle, to create temporal cover while you are looking for a safe zone (if you want to use ir for a kill, you must to be quickly)

6-20s Cooldown

7-Instant smoke dispersion when grenade hits structures

This will be just for every class, so is objectively fair.

Can anyone explain the rank system to me. The points and seeding is completely made up. The points are arbitrary and the seeding follows. When I play with a bronze player. As Siver, we are ranked 10,000 points seperate. To make it even that means they would have to also find teams with that seeding or complety make the numbers up at random. That IS what happens then. Because seeding continues to tell you how many points you have. We continuet to play against players taht are fucking demons. Make it fucking make sense embark.

I don’t get what you mean, “completely made up”. It has a well defined meaning. I just have no idea why you’re talking about randomness etc.

Note that if multiple players queue ranked as a party, it only uses the ranked score of the best player in that party for matchmaking. If this was not the case, smurf accounts would be a massive issue and mediocre players would be up against rubies on the regular. If you’re on the real lower end of the playerbase then there may just not be enough similarly bad players to match with you, leading to your opponents on average being better. But the more generous RS rewards should compensate for that. Ranked seems to be oddly not that popular and hence matchmaking is typically only that good if you’re pretty average in skill level.

Reddit is full of crazy people who say dagger is a broken weapon. Reddit is always full of people with skill issues who say other weapons and classes are OP. They’re idiots who’ve never played anything outside their own weapons and classes. Listening to them and making balance patches is completely ruining the game.

It is obvious that Light has low health so DPS should be high, but there is no one on Reddit who can understand this fact.

Speaking of Double Barrel, you guys from Embark lowered the damage of Double Barrel and then reverted it back. Because Light has low health so DPS should be high, and the Double Barrel is a weapon that can only be used at close range, and Heavy class has to be 2-tapped. This is right, so it was reverted. But now Reddit is crying about nerfing Double Barrel. They gaslight other users by claiming that any weapon they don’t use doesn’t require skill.

The same goes for Sword. Especially, the damage nerf of melee weapons is basically saying “don’t use this weapon.” It’s a death sentence. It’s the same as the Double Barrel situation. Sword relies on close range and Light’s low health, and had specific damage combinations for Light, Medium, and Heavy. If you lower the damage of Sword, it becomes complete garbage because it is not the damage that Sword should deal.

And since Light is a counter to Sword, Sword isn’t even a source of frustration for Light players. Many nerfs say they are for Light users, but almost all of them are for Mediums. Medium, the most powerful class in The Finals, has the most players, and Medium is the most popular class in WT and ranked matches. Stop gaslighting people into thinking these nerfs are for Light users.

Light should die to lunge + quick melee,
Medium should die to 2 lunges or lunge + quick melee + left click,
Heavy should die to 2x (lunge + quick melee) or 2 lunges + left click.
That was the balanced state. 140 dmg.

The real issue is matchmaking that throws newbies and pros into the same matches.

I'm not going to lie, the more I look at it, the sword nerf gets more and more nonsensical. You can throw any arena carriable, swing a melee weapon, and the qm to cancel that animation to kill light in .2 seconds. This works with sword, dagger, and spear, but Riot, dual swords and sledge don't even need to qm. Lunge was a core part of how sword plays, but lights will still get instakilled by every melee weapon, and most ranged ones. Rpg kills faster than sword does with this, and it's a gadget. I don't think "making things easier for light" is a good justification, when we're now forced to rely on even more outlandish (and unfair) tactics to get things done. Also, arena carriables three tap lights (which allows for some amazingly creative plays, and I love it), but the sword nerf means that we now have to consider whether literal chairs are better than sword. The ttk isn't that much worse (I think they're within a quarter of a second of each other), and arena carriables have range! Big hitboxes also help, but I just think it's funny that it's arguable as to whether the practice range chairs are better weapons than sword. Maybe we need a sword skin that's literally just a chair.

The ks-23 needs 100% accuracy, any other buff is pointless

The ks-23 is the only direct hit projectile weapon that is not afforded the luxury of accuracy which is the main reason its suffering. In concept its great and i love the gun, but anyone who has played it for any significant ammount of time knows that its main point of frustration is its unrelieability. Because of the spread targets beyond 8 meters are a gamble to hit. The feature inplace to make it a skillful weapon is already the projectile, however this is ruined by the spread. You can predict your targets movement, lead your shot correctly but still miss because the game decided your slug goes left.

The only buff the ks needs to be good is accuracy. Buffs like range falloff or firerate wouldnt solve the underlying issue of it being frustrating to use beyond 8 meters, headshots without accuracy are pointless, damage is going to force winch ks back which was not very fun to die to. A bigger projectile would maybe work but decrease the guns skill expression.

Even with 100% accuracy the gun would be far from op due to the small mag and bad ttk. However it would be a lot more fun and a lot less frustrating to use

I think this has been brought up multiple times but that only shows how important that topic is. As a creator I would appreciate a replay mode. First person, third person, free camera, toggle between perspectives, toggle HUD, slow motion and fast forward, the whole package and anything you can think of. It would enable me to make nice cinematic shots, it would enable teams and players to vod review their games and it would help everyone in general to identify cheaters

Winch claw is the reason why some underused heavy weapons cannot have significant buffs. Good example is ks-23. Its weak and despite dev team trying to make it viable they couldn't allow death combo with winch to lights with no counter play. After recent cancel changes ks-23 now feels worse and weaker than pre-buffs. Ks-23 is in hostage situation because of winch combo potential. Winch on its own is hot balance topic and a lot of people here hate it with burning passion. What i propose is more BALANCED and COOL way to balance claw. I suggest adding a MELEE PARRY mechanic to winch claw. Lets add a tight time window when you get hooked where pressing melee will break the chain and prevent player pull. It should also cancel hook animation for heavy as well so heavy is not punished too hard and allow weapon like ks-23 to shoot faster in case of parry. This change will create counter play tech for players that reward skill and awareness. It should not be easy to parry but it will make interactions with claw feel more fair and allow my poor baby ks-23 and spear to have some actual buffs (without devastating indirect nerfs in same patch...yeah i am still salty about dev note saying Embark want to make ks-23 viable with small buffs and in same patch broke ks-23 kneecaps with cancel changes)

  • FOR THE LOVE OF ANYONE. IMPROVE YOUR NETCODE ! 50% of my dash behind cover make me die anyway because your game can't register itself !
  • Why in WT, lose in final round against a tri-stack squad when I'm playing solo ?
  • Add "step" in the reload animation so when you climb on something during a reload, it's not completly reset.
  • Perma ban cheaters
  • Add a report option " Sabotage " in the report section in game please.
  • Let us choose our sight weapons at the beginning of a game
  • Delete low gravity event. It's not fun AT ALL
  • Random skin and charm list for weapons/gadgets

  • Nerf the range of the KS shotgun. You can put 100 dmg at 20m.
  • Nerf PIKE to 48 instead of 50 dmg. You know what you did in 5.8 with that.
  • LH1 nerf was to strong in 6.0. Buff it to 45 dmg.
  • Flamethrower and hook should NOT get you through walls or other.
  • Flamethrower is bug too, thanks to your servers, you can hit people without being in the range + you can take more damage from burning than the player itself. Nonsense

  • Revive and Objectives score should add additional points in ranked
  • Rework defib: Reduce the cooldown reset to 5s and give 100HP instead of 50% of your HP. It will force Medium to revive more safety !
  • Rework Sonar : Scan 5 times instead of 3 but if you don't move it can't scan you
  • Winch and lockbolt shouldn't do damage.

World tour point system needs a rework, getting 6 points for getting into round 2 is insane.

Realistically getting 3rd in round 1 should net you 3 points then second and first should be 5 points
Second round 3rd place should get 5, second and first should net you 10(these all stack with the finals round results) winning final should net you 30 points losing should net you 20

so all in all in round one you come 1st you get 5 points, in round 2 you come first again you get 15 and in the final if you win you get 45 points. ATM the point system just feels meh this is me spitballing btw if you've got better solutions i would love to here it.

Would be nice if in the last 3 weeks of the season there was milestone challenges for world tour where you could claim one of any of the previous emerald rewards (not the badges banner and that stuff but the weapon skins)

It doesn’t grant any advantage or disadvantage to players further than that someone who understands it will have an advantage over someone who doesn’t (if you don’t account for latency in your thinking, then you’ll end up dying when you expected to live and that loss in accuracy of judgement harms your chances).

The bit you got wrong here is when you said “oh no actually you did”. No, you did not - it just looked like you did due to latency, and the reality kicked in shortly afterwards. Latency isn’t why you died, it’s why you incorrectly thought you lived. They killed you fairly, as fairly as you kill people when the same happens to them. 10ft implies you have some major connection issues, though, that’s abnormal for standard levels of ping.

I think it might be beneficial for game queues, matchmaking and respecting players' time by giving World Tour progression in Ranked matches, in addition to RS adjustments already present after ranked play. I think this would help make World Tour feel more like the casual cashout mode it's supposed to be while encouraging the competitive players to stay in ranked queues against eachother. It also rewards you for playing ranked, even if you aren't moving up quickly in ranked progression. You could still be making progressive progress toward the WT rewards by winning a few elimination rounds.

In tandem with the aesthetic themes present in Las Vegas and the “stripes and solids” frag grenade skin, there should be ‘cue stick’ skins for spear or sword. Maybe medium is one cue stick split in half, and a light is just a smaller one cracked or something. Throwing daggers could have a rotating 52 card appearance, similar to how the frag changes colors. And I feel like there’s something that could be done with poker chips, but I’m not sure what exactly. Maybe on Las Vegas, all coins from elims become chips

I started thinking on some things, and now we have to wonder whether the cashbox is a stronger weapon than sword. They have nearly identical ttk, but the cashbox has more range and blocks bullets. Cashbox is pretty inconsistent when it comes to the ricochet though. Do it's weaknesses outweigh it's strengths, or should we be nerfing everything to have cashbox dps?

Reddit is full of crazy people who say dagger is a broken weapon. Reddit is always full of people with skill issues who say other weapons and classes are OP. They’re idiots who’ve never played anything outside their own weapons and classes. Listening to them and making balance patches is completely ruining the game.

It is obvious that Light has low health so DPS should be high, but there is no one on Reddit who can understand this fact.

Speaking of Double Barrel, you guys from Embark lowered the damage of Double Barrel and then reverted it back. Because Light has low health so DPS should be high, and the Double Barrel is a weapon that can only be used at close range, and Heavy class has to be 2-tapped. This is right, so it was reverted. But now Reddit is crying about nerfing Double Barrel. They gaslight other users by claiming that any weapon they don’t use doesn’t require skill.

The same goes for Sword. Especially, the damage nerf of melee weapons is basically saying “don’t use this weapon.” It’s a death sentence. It’s the same as the Double Barrel situation. Sword relies on close range and Light’s low health, and had specific damage combinations for Light, Medium, and Heavy. If you lower the damage of Sword, it becomes complete garbage because it is not the damage that Sword should deal.

And since Light is a counter to Sword, Sword isn’t even a source of frustration for Light players. Many nerfs say they are for Light users, but almost all of them are for Mediums. Medium, the most powerful class in The Finals, has the most players, and Medium is the most popular class in WT and ranked matches. Stop gaslighting people into thinking these nerfs are for Light users.

Light should die to lunge + quick melee,
Medium should die to 2 lunges or lunge + quick melee + left click,
Heavy should die to 2x (lunge + quick melee) or 2 lunges + left click.
That was the balanced state. 140 dmg.

The real issue is matchmaking that throws newbies and pros into the same matches.

Please introduce map based queue in ranked or let us vote on excluding maps at the beginning of the tournament (like in CS2's Prime game mode) . I am so done with getting 600 elo from 3 games on actually good maps, but then getting Kyoto Moving platforms and losing 1.2k elo.

Also please introduce actual skill based elo allocation, cuz at the moment solo queue feels like a roulette. 1 game you get an actually good team who move well and make good decisions. And the next game you get two brain donors who ignore any callouts, stand in the open when holding objective or charge minigun heavy in a straight line on offense. I should not lose 700 ELO after getting double the combat score and support score of my two teammated combined.

no joke fu** the game zero matchmaking, dog server, every 10m you run into any bugs, cancels the reload because a 10cm stone was on the ground and your chars trys to vault, cant shoot, cant sprint, noregs, shooting invisible walls, getting stuck on random things. Please revert the sword nerf. It's not a weapon anyone can just pick up and be great with. Took me over 1k hours to be good with it, and this nerf basically says "hey everyone, don't use this weapon."

Regarding the one shot capability, I guess you'll have to do the same with the bow, double barrel, sniper, sledge, etc. btw don't actually do that.

Just revert the sword nerf please, I am now forced to use a gun, but that's why I loved the finals, it's versatility. It's just boring now with less weapon choice.

we had the first cashout and were just about to finish with the 2nd one when we got rushed by both teams
because we got wiped we lost the cashout last second
for the entire match one could now think about how this match should have been over by now, and how much more effort we now need to put in to get the win that should have been ours to begin with
3rd parties often hit more than 1 team in any given match, so its not unlikely multiple or all teams end up feel like they have been cheesed out of the win

imo this makes a lot of the matches feel unsatisfying, because you either didnt get rewarded for playing well and winning against the defenders, or got a cashout for free which can feel undeserved/unrewarding
please make a 5v5 quick cash/cashout game mode, since this would not be an issue there

If we're gonna nerf pike (even though its barely used outside of high elo), nerfing the damage it not the way to go.

when the pike was a 4 shot to light, it was the worst medium gun in the game

Nerfing the fire rate would make it a worse repeater and a longer range revolver, hurting it's identity

The pike needs to play around it's long range for it to be good, but the hipfire is extremely consistent, making it hard to take down at any range. Nerfing the hipfire would probably be a good enough nerf for the weapon, as it favors counterplay at close range and makes the M-L matchup more balanced.

As a compensation, we can reduce the amount of aim sway/shake so it is easier to strafe or shoot on ziplines, its already hard enough aiming with the shitty scope.

SAY, SPEAKING OF SCOPES, can we also get some new sights for pike in s7?? Why on earth did the M26 MATTER get ALL of the new sights in s6, when the pike got nothing?

You are wrong in this case about the wheel of skins.

That wheel is absolutely an incentive to make players play the game every single day. People value these skins, so people will chase that value if they feel there is a clear path to do so. Just because cosmetics don't affect gameplay doesnt mean they have no value, after all look at how hard people grind for compeditive skins. Clearly people value these things even if you personally do not.

Moreover, because people value the "big prize" skin over the others, the wheel also incentivizes you to spend money since the current system is very much intended to make it particularly hard to complete the wheel for free. The whole "but it is just free skins a the end of the day" is a smokescreen for what the true intention is, and that is to try to drain your in-game currency. Ideally, they drain just enough to make you not able to afford the battle pass for the next season. It makes sense from a business perspective, but it feels really crappy when they allow the system to roll misses 8 times in a row as explained in my previous comment you replied to. This is only allowed because they want to pressure you to buy-out the last skins which could be a combined cost of 600 to 1500.

If you dont see this strategy for what it is, than you are likely young, or simply ignorant of how companies get people to spend money. The skin wheel's intention is never to "just be free skins", the fact that you believe this kinda shows me that embark's strategy works a lot better than I thought. You were made into a sucker.

MGL32 needs:

  • Slightly faster projectile speed

  • Less bounce when used from height and when fired close to the user's feet

  • 84 damage (up from 83) so that three full damage nades kill Medium instead of leaving them with literally one HP

  • Nades should break and pass through objects like map throwable balloons and props like chairs and pots (same with KS-23 slugs)

  • "Aiming" it should show the initial arc of the shot like nades do.

  • No more linear scaling, just two damage zones. One should be 84, the second 50. Reduce overall AoE size if needed. Makes breakpoints nice and clean.

  1. INSANE scope wobble after EVERY possible explosion

  2. STUUUPID fire ALL OVER the scope when getting shot by the cerberus

  3. DISGUSTING waiting times if you shoot, melee, and than have to FUCKING CHAMBER AGAIN bc you havent fully waited after the first shot.

  4. NO in air accuracy at all

  5. NONSENSE scope wobble if getting shot

  6. MENTAL ability to NOT being able to aim instantly anywhere else than the bottom if adsing out of a climb.

  7. BORING scope wobble if scoping while dashing

guys, you already made it 1000x better by fixing the scope wobble while sliding

ADDITIONAL ANNOYING ISSUES:

  • gateway dissapearing when thrown (really often)
  • sonar grenade detecting players, but you only hear the sound an see no visual indicator (literally every game)
    -goo just straightup gets down in a diagonal line instead of the usual wall when thrown at plane ground.
    -getting stuck on smoke canisters instead of just running over them (is intended but insanely annoying)
    -canisters not exploding/gooing when thrown far away at supspended structures/right next to yourself without jumping
    -smoke made by collapsing buildings giving single shot longrange weapons AN INSANE disadvantage.
    -a often occurring bug where you either cant shoot/ads or even both

first off, this channel would be more usable if it was threads intead of regular texting

alternate gadget variants would be cool (only one of the variants can be equipped at a time)

these examples are somewhat unbalanced, but they're there to give you an idea of what I mean

dome - alternate variant that trades blocking dmg with applying dmg resistance to any friendly in it, longer uptime
RPG - split into 2 round types: Frag, and HE

Frag does little dmg to buildings but does good dmg to players with similar AOE to the frag grenade
HE has lower AOE, lower dmg to players, but annihilates buildings and has a shorter cooldown than frag (its AOE for buildings is much larger than the normal dmg AOE, depending on how spaghettified the code is, that might be a little complex to implement)
optionally, the frag rockets have a different look, but that would fuck with skins so maybe don't do that.

data reshaper - shorter cooldown, but only reshapes to random arena pickups rather than barrels

gateway - the second gateway is not a gateway, it instead instantly teleports you to the first one. One time use before the gate disappears. basically a get out of jail free card that sacrifices its support capabilities (no idea how its cooldown would change, or if it even should change at all)

again, the balancing for these ideas are shit. they're here as examples purely

I would like to say that the current direction of the game upsets me. News about the endless battle pass, reworking maps in the style of stadium, removing bank it as a mode. What is all this for? Previously in seasons, maps took on a sponsor look at the end of the season, during the listing of sponsors, and this is a pretty cool thing, a bit of variety. However, Las Vegas, which will never return to the World Tour in its usual colors, is something truly upsetting. I am really interested to know why? Endless battle pass, sounds cool to me considering that I couldn't close season 2 completely and to this day it's my gestalt, but to be honest, if it weren't for these emotions from the loss I wouldn't remember this season, I wouldn't remember this game. Why kill the excitement? And return the bank it for Christ's sake.. seriously

CL 40 is absolutely horrid to play against. Please undo the direct hit radius buff. It made the gun into a zero aim requirement weapon with maximum impact that is able to hit multiple targets. Self damage is also nonexistant if you can jump while shooting. FIX THIS. Please reward actual accuracy with more damage and reduce the stupid splash damage.

XP is strong but i don't think it needs adjustment at the moment maybe have a look at it in S7 but i personally don't think the gun would survive 16 damage / shot

demat. In my opinion this is the single strongest ability in the game. It is insanely strong for evasive,offensive and objective gameplay and essentially the strongest destruction utility in the game. There really is no drawback. Also the introduction of heal orbs has essentially made 3M stacks able to use two demat players. So at this point cover isn't a thing anymore and walls are only a suggestion to the god that is the demat medium.

Defib. Defibrillator should get the stun gun treatment. Take it out of the game for half a season. Maybe design it in a way that stacking doesn't multiply its effectiveness.

Here is a list of weapons that need to be buffed but not make them meta in the next balance patch

Spear: enable the ability to cancel the spin attack animation, For controller players, they need to press L2 or left trigger to cancel it and for mouse and keyboard players they need to press right click, increase the basic attack damage combo to 75, 85, 95 and increase the spin attack damage to 130

KS-23: increase the projectile speed to 500m/s, add a 1.2x headshot multiplier, increase the environmental damage so we can two shot most walls, I know it's a shotgun but it shoots slug rounds and this will reward players for hitting headshots with the KS-23

Riot shield: increase the swing speed by a little bit

R.357: increase the bodyshot damage to 75, decrease the headshot multiplier to 1.9x therefore making it 75 × 1.9= 142.5

Dual blades: add a parry mechanic so when swinging the blades you can hold the deflect button to parry the bullets and increase the first swing damage from 50 to 55 and increase the second swing damage from 60 to 65 and lastly increase the final attack damage from 65 to 70

AKM: increase magazine capacity to 34, 35 or 36, the choice is yours on what number you choose

ARN-220: increase the fire rate to 750 rpm, decrease the duration of the tactical reload animation from 2.45s to 2.30s, decrease the duration of the full reload animation from 2.80s to 2.60s

Smoke Grenade: decrease the ammo from 3 to 2, and decrease the cooldown from 50s to 20s

VSR system is bad for my idea,marvel rivals did all characters free to unlock and play(takes no time) and this is so good.I heard a lot from new players I cant playing the gun I want and they leaving the game.Definetly that vsr system should be changed or removed. Gravity vortex isn't for countering cashout steals though. It's a trap for player eliminations. I liked the duration buff because it allows you to stall yourself in the air long enough to scout, shoot, or just wait for your second grapple. I feel like traps in this game can have so many more creative uses than cashout prevention, but all anyone wants to do is throw 5 mines on the cashout. I don't even see how the longer duration made theft prevention any harder.

I keep seeing this 1v3 scenario where the medium revives a teammate with a defib, knowing they’re about to die. The revived player has cooldowns, so it's almost always certain death. This should be discouraged. Can there be a very short hold to defib, while reducing the penalty on the revived player (slightly shorter cooldowns) ?

A short hold would also mean players can get a progress bar as a heads up, the same way regular revives do

I wish I played with recording enabled. I think you're right in the accuracy of judgement part though we might be understating the actual severity of its impact. I think though that if my statue makes it so far behind that wall I can't help but have that sense of being scammed out of surviving since the server knows I was there but didn't register before the damage. It should move the statue to where the server knows I took the killing blow damage instead of my client side position which would slightly help with adjusting the judgement calls in the future, but isn't a fix.

Even in diamond I still have some improvement to be made, like I should continue to fire even after enemies on my screen are behind cover as the latency can kill them, which sure is a skill issue but ideally shouldn't be the way to play...

Crazy wild idea: Use the 1000s of player data points to come up with a better system that doesn't load you into 1v5 matches consistently, especially if said "1" player has never left a game before.

You can still like the game and pay all that money. I am also happy to spend money on this game because I love playing it, but I would also appreciate the way in which I spend money not to be influenced by something that feels like a slimy business practice. Just feels scummy in a game where most things dont feel that way.

To be clear, I love this game more than most, and it is because of my respect for it that I point out systems that seem unfair or unfun. And I think a wheel roiling 8 misses in a row (equating to 2 days of collecting tickets) to pressure you to spend the money falls under that criteria.

@nova mica I am also guessing you bought those skins in order to complete your wheels early. That means their system worked on you. You also sound a bit young based on how you type so I wont be too critical, but I hope you understand that I dont hate embark or the finals as a game because of this issue. However, I would like for this system to change to be a bit more in line with what they advertise it to be.

I agree 100%.

  • 20 items + a full outfit that can be unlocked for free

  • 3 tickets per day that can be earned in no more than 3 rounds (45 minutes of gameplay), assuming you win at least 1 of them, and deal about 1150 damage per round. Very far from grindy goals. Most players can achieve them, even if they don't have much time to play.

  • Anything can be bought for multibucks at any point, meaning you can complete the wheel by buying the items you miss, if you really want the outfit. But you can also take all the free stuff along the way, not spend a dime and call it day. All up to you.

IMO these wheels are a reasonable way for Embark to increase player engagement. It's giving an incentive to at least play 45/60 minutes a day.

People bring up the FOMO argument in there, but LT events and content have always been part of the Finals since day 1. And I don't think that's an unfair practice in a F2P game. Embark could make every single item accessible to any player at any time, but then, there would also be complaints about lack of exclusive content. Can't make everyone happy I suppose.

Embark you gotta add the close quarters map to the TDM pool. It's one of the best maps I've played in any game ever. It's almost like a Valve map (this is the highest compliment I can give)

@teal flower I agree there totally should be MnK on console, but you don't need any additional input matchmaking. All you need is to allow console and pc to use MnK and/or controller when crossplay is set to on. This way you don't split the players up.

I'm calling it now 3 days out from the end. I'm at 15/20 rewards in the event. I've never missed an opportunity to get a ticket in any of the events that have had the ticket wheel system, I will not get all 20 again by the time this ones over. The point being it's honestly just a pretty lame feeling event system where the average player is left feeling pretty ripped off or at least let down at the end. Yeah the rewards are free monetarily but not timewise and not commitment wise if you want every shot at a spin. Just don't understand why a luck system is the way to go over a time or skill based reward system. At least just don't make the final outfit a completely luck based reward

After playing sword through its nerf, I will say it's not the worst thing to get used to, however it still suffers in higher ranked play. A suggestion I have to increase TTK is

  1. the ability to cancel a lunge into a swing.
    2.After a swing, allow sword to transition into lunge animation quicker (hopefully removing phantom strike in the process)

  6. MENTAL ability to NOT being able to aim instantly anywhere else than the bottom if adsing out of a climb.

  7. BORING scope wobble if scoping while dashing

  • gateway dissapearing when thrown (really often)
  • sonar grenade detecting players, but you only hear the sound an see no visual indicator (literally every game)
    -goo just straightup gets down in a diagonal line instead of the usual wall when thrown at plane ground.
    -getting stuck on smoke canisters instead of just running over them (is intended but insanely annoying)
    -canisters not exploding/gooing when thrown far away at supspended structures/right next to yourself without jumping
    -smoke made by collapsing buildings giving single shot longrange weapons AN INSANE disadvantage.
    -a often occurring bug where you either cant shoot/ads or even both

World Tour needs some changes to make it at least causal friendly, Like have it where you can earn World Tour points for losing the first round and when the season is near the end the points are 2x if not 3x to help out to reach Emerald if you join World Tour late in the season. And another thing i find so frustrating with the matchmaking because I and other players should not be put against other World Tour sweats that are Emerald 1 of current season, Because that gives them a reason to just stomp on and gatekeep Diamond and lower World Tour ranked players from Emerald, Like players that are Emerald 1 of the current season should help out lower World Tour ranked players, Like c'mon World Tour isn't Ranked there's no Ruby weapon skin and you don't need to fight to keep your rank in World Tour once you reach Emerald 1 in World Tour you keep that rank the rewards, Just be kind and help out others, please?

I'm just saying people were so good with the lewis gun and you changed it, now people are so good with most light weapons and it's kinda aids. I think it's time for a recoil pattern change for light weapons specifically the XP-54, M11, LH1 and the V9S.

Custom Quick melee animations
Custom Firing/Shooting/Attacking animations (or) Custom pump animations : For shotguns for example
Shooting preview when checking/previewing gun animations on the store : For example, we could finally know just from the store that the recoilless blade skin for dagger actually has a unique effect when attacking
Support medal/stats on menu : Don't forget about healing gun mains
Make intro emotes be selected/saved by outfit and not by contestant

Advanced Video Quality Settings : For example I have many Diamond and Emerald weapons, and I use the "Effects" settings on High just for the beautiful parallax effect on those weapons, which isn't present in medium or low settings, I would like to select my individual settings depending on what is worth the performance and what's not, instead of just selecting a bunch of settings just for one effect
Ability to check other players stats : At least for Club creation purposes
Main Menu/Tournament screen Pose Selector : There are multiple poses the characters can do with every weapon in the game while in the menu/tournament screen, but it changes depending who's seeing it. It would probably be better if everyone saw their actual poses instead of each person seeing a different one
Character card custom pose selector : It would be nice if we could select our poses on our contestants cards, like a menu pose, or a specific frame of it, or a specific frame of an emote instead of a pre-selected one, etc
Let everyone see the characters getting rotated/spin on the menu : Reason: it would be very fun and funny, but alright that is more of a funny suggestion than a serious one

Winch claw is the reason why some underused heavy weapons cannot have significant buffs. Good example is ks-23. Its weak and despite dev team trying to make it viable they couldn't allow death combo with winch to lights with no counter play. After recent cancel changes ks-23 now feels worse and weaker than pre-buffs. Ks-23 is in hostage situation because of winch combo potential. Winch on its own is hot balance topic and a lot of people here hate it with burning passion. What i propose is more BALANCED and COOL way to balance claw. I suggest adding a MELEE PARRY mechanic to winch claw. Lets add a tight time window when you get hooked where pressing melee will break the chain and prevent player pull. It should also cancel hook animation for heavy as well so heavy is not punished too hard and allow weapon like ks-23 to shoot faster in case of parry. This change will create counter play tech for players that reward skill and awareness. It should not be easy to parry but it will make interactions with claw feel more fair and allow my poor baby ks-23 and spear to have some actual buffs (without devastating indirect nerfs in same patch...yeah i am still salty about dev note saying Embark wants to make ks-23 viable with small buffs and in same patch broke ks-23 kneecaps with cancel changes)

The State of goo grenades

Hey just wanted to hear your opinions on goo grenades. First of all I don't like that every class in the game is able to instantly deploy cover. I think heavy is intended to play that role. It often feels like players make horrendous positioning mistakes and are able to get a way with it by blocking the entire hallway with this nade. Heavy has a dedicated tool for this which is often not used due to goo superiority.

Comparing barricade with googrenades:

Goo placing is super convenient and versatile while the barricade is often very fiddly with its placement.

Goo tanks explosions easily while the barricade breaks. However barricade is better at blocking bullets.

Goo can be burned but it takes a few seconds giving you enough time to move, reposition or just throw a second one.

Goo unlike the barricade is not affected by demat or datareshaper.

Furthermore goo nades can "stun" you while stealing the cash out.

Overall I would like to see a change for the goo grenade. Its just to versatile imo. I'd love to know your opinions on it

revert sword. There was a literal astroturfing campaign against sword for about two weeks. Before barely anyone actually complained about it. At the moment everything that made sword competitive or fun was removed.

Some suggestions for some weapons that arent in the spotlight as of now, also to differentiate them a little frome each other.

Something to make revolver stand out more then the repeater could be to buff some of its short range qualities. But not damage and accuracy. Things like strafing speed while ADS would allow for a more dueling feel. The same could be applied to 93r.

Id also recommend not reworking MGL too much, it currently is a weapon that rewards practice very well. A complete rework or buff could present a CL-40 situation where its completely broken quickly. Having weapons with weaknesses in the game is fine. If anything the MGL suffers mostly from map design on angled surfaces where it becomes very hard to predict where the grenade will go. A rework could lie in that corner where grenades follow their original trajectory more when shot versus angled surfaces, and maybe a less floaty bounce.

The sword defo needs a big buff now, its pretty much dead as it is. Sword was unique and rewarded another skill set then just straight aim. I think the reasoning to move away from one shots will present a challenge for you guys regarding light since the difference in HP between classes is so large making weapons not one shot light will greatly impact them versus the other classes.

Riot and dual blades defo need some of their buggy interactions fixed. I think they are strong defensive options that are now held back by their unintended quirks.

I think the AK needs a little something. But that just might be me. Id like it to be mediums closer range option with better hipfire, larger mag and more firerate. Where FCAR can be the true medium range king with lower drop off and easier to control recoil down range.

ARN for its intended purpose as a longer range option to mee seems to have a very steep recoil. Very outclassed by the XP right now in its intended niche, since the xp's recoil is so much easier to control even down range.

Can there be a discussion with the team to bring back or slightly bring back how the light class sniper used to function? Ever since it's been changed, it's been favored heavily by skilled players and it has left behind a lot of the casual base of players. I'm trying to draw on the halo one of weapon balance mentality where a lot of the weapons can be obtained by anyone but skill is what gets you the eliminations and work gets you better results. Yet anybody can pick up a weapon and still interrupt the skillful player's streak with just the right shot.
This is a comment to try to give back more equal opportunity to players who want to switch to the light class to counter snipe an enemy light sniper picking off teammates. (Sometimes, suspiciously too accurate a lot of the time. And somehow knows exactly where a person is a lot of the time during the match).

Do note that the most important part of barricades are that they can be placed much faster than a goo grenade. Them being compact and curved is also a lot better for creating cover that your team can utilise more than the enemy can. They can also be rapidly redeployed.

I usually run barricade over goo on melee heavy builds because taking a tenth of a second to place instead of most of a second makes a massive difference to your survivability

Reddit is full of crazy people who say dagger is a broken weapon. Reddit is always full of people with skill issues who say other weapons and classes are OP. They’re idiots who’ve never played anything outside their own weapons and classes. Listening to them and making balance patches is completely ruining the game.

It is obvious that Light has low health so DPS should be high, but there is no one on Reddit who can understand this fact.

Speaking of Double Barrel, you guys from Embark lowered the damage of Double Barrel and then reverted it back. Because Light has low health so DPS should be high, and the Double Barrel is a weapon that can only be used at close range, and Heavy class has to be 2-tapped. This is right, so it was reverted. But now Reddit is crying about nerfing Double Barrel. They gaslight other users by claiming that any weapon they don’t use doesn’t require skill.

The same goes for Sword. Especially, the damage nerf of melee weapons is basically saying “don’t use this weapon.” It’s a death sentence. It’s the same as the Double Barrel situation. Sword relies on close range and Light’s low health, and had specific damage combinations for Light, Medium, and Heavy. If you lower the damage of Sword, it becomes complete garbage because it is not the damage that Sword should deal.

And since Light is a counter to Sword, Sword isn’t even a source of frustration for Light players. Many nerfs say they are for Light users, but almost all of them are for Mediums. Medium, the most powerful class in The Finals, has the most players, and Medium is the most popular class in WT and ranked matches. Stop gaslighting people into thinking these nerfs are for Light users.

Light should die to lunge + quick melee,
Medium should die to 2 lunges or lunge + quick melee + left click,
Heavy should die to 2x (lunge + quick melee) or 2 lunges + left click.
That was the balanced state. 140 dmg.

The real issue is matchmaking that throws newbies and pros into the same matches.

Getting 6 duplicates in a row, then having the worst soloQ MM ever and then getting 4 more duplicates just because is one of the top 10 worst experiences I've had in a videogame. Please retire the roulette wheel events they are just not fun at all. And add some sort of matchmaking beyond ping. At least equalize the teams' collective "skill", if you aren't gonna matchmake on that. Past week has been the most annoying matchmaking this season, just constant games of my guys being 007, while enemies are fragging out.
Just getting the worst games over and over and then not getting anything in the event to top it all off really tilts so much, I am considering just quitting.
It wouldn't be as bad, if the event's nature didn't force you to complete every daily challenge for 2 weeks straight, because otherwise you don't even have a chance of getting everything. But this way, if you are having an off day, you still gotta get the dailies for that final reward.

damage wise, the sniper is in the perfect spot right now, its objectively the worst shooting weapon existing, but it can be valuable in high ranked if you are an literal AIM GOD who hits at least one headshot on every enemy no matter the distance. This sounds bad right? But it’s perfect. sniper is THE most annoying weapon to lose against and should NEVER be meta. same goes with overpowered shotguns.
the only way to allow a fundamentally annoying weapon without making it insanely unfun for people to play against,
is making it so skill dependent that you literally cant complain if you lose against it bc the sniper player will ALWAYS be more skilled than you.

It all starts with the selection of players, it's just disgusting, I understand that online gaming is low, but even in this scenario, you can partially solve this problem. Strong players who play solo will understand me anyway. Here is a list of weapons that need to be buffed but not make them meta in the next balance patch

Spear: enable the ability to cancel the spin attack animation, For controller players, they need to press L2 or left trigger to cancel it and for mouse and keyboard players they need to press right click, increase the basic attack damage combo to 75, 85, 95 and increase the spin attack damage to 130

KS-23: increase the projectile speed to 500m/s, add a 1.2x headshot multiplier, increase the environmental damage so we can two shot most walls, I know it's a shotgun but it shoots slug rounds and this will reward players for hitting headshots with the KS-23

Riot shield: increase the swing speed by a little

Dual blades: add a parry mechanic so when swinging the blades you can hold the deflect button to parry the bullets and increase the first swing damage from 50 to 55 and increase the second swing damage from 60 to 65 and lastly increase the final attack damage from 65 to 70

AKM: increase magazine capacity to 34, 35 or 36, the choice is yours on what number you choose

ARN-220: increase the fire rate to 750 rpm, decrease the duration of the tactical reload animation from 2.45s to 2.30s, decrease the duration of the full reload animation from 2.80s to 2.60s

Smoke Grenade: decrease the ammo from 3 to 2, and decrease the cooldown from 50s to 20s

Grief solution:
Earn cash as the longer you hold a cashout. 1k per whatever the course of time. If the box is worth 10k and the cashouts are 1 minute. 1k every 10 seconds.
This eliminates the $36k cashout by a last second steal with 3 teams targeting you because you’re in first.
This also adds more emphasis on staying at your cashout.

Not possible. There aren’t nearly enough of them, there’ll only be like 5-10 of them in a region’s matchmaking at any given time.

@young drum more emphasis? Surely this would be much less, the risk to leaving your cashout unattended would be much lower. There would be a much bigger focus on third parties than already exists. This would make the strategy always to go to whatever cashout either isn’t yours or has the most time left

I gotta vent a little here.. we're queueing ranked and get 8th seed, which is fine because more points for us right? turns out tho my gold ass, my plat and silver buddy just got thrown into a ruby loby with some diamond players for good measure. like, sure we get more points if we win but obviously we get dragged across the floor by 3 teams that clearly outskill and outexperience us by a longshot. It's just not a fun experience to get put into lobbies with people that dont match our skill at all.

World tour point system needs a rework, getting 6 points for getting into round 2 is insane.

Realistically getting 3rd in round 1 should net you 3 points then second and first should be 5 points
Second round 3rd place should get 5, second and first should net you 10(these all stack with the finals round results) winning final should net you 30 points losing should net you 20

so all in all in round one you come 1st you get 5 points, in round 2 you come first again you get 15 and in the final if you win you get 45 points. ATM the point system just feels meh this is me spitballing btw if you've got better solutions i would love to here it.

Would be nice if in the last 3 weeks of the season there was milestone challenges for world tour where you could claim one of any of the previous emerald rewards (not the badges banner and that stuff but the weapon skins)

sa could do with either a fire rate increase or a slight dmg increase (most if not all heavy weapons feel lackluster atm)

Famas might need a slight recoil adjustment to make it less easy (currently the best ar by a mile) and/or a damage nerf

Quick melee on melee weapons should not exist if you click your quick melee key it should preform a light attack (atm sledge can winch light attack and quick melee to kill a light without any counter play on the lights half)

All breakpoints required to be viable were removed:

  • Vs Light: Lunge+QM (Requires ≄110)
  • Vs Medium: Lunge x2 (Requires ≄125)
  • Vs Medium: Lunge+QM+Primary (Requires ≄136)
  • Vs Heavy: Lunge x3 (Requires ≄117)
  • Vs Heavy: (Lunge+QM) x2 (Requires ≄135)
  • Vs Heavy: (Lunge x2)+Primary (Requires ≄138)
    Phantom strikes were fixed and Nullifier is back too.

Please revert Dagger backstab to 180°.
“Facestabs” got blamed on angle when it's due to:

  1. Server issues
  2. It going off the attacker’s screen, same way any weapon does, because favor-the-shooter is the far lesser evil than favor-the-victim
  3. People mistaking it as a “facestab” when Light dashes behind them, flicks, and stabs the back
    It made an already bad, niche, and inconsistent weapon even more bad, niche, and inconsistent.

Other Requests:

  • Rebalance Grappling Hook around 2 charges
  • Let Grappling Hook pull self towards players
  • Make Goo Gun M2 cost 9 ammo but shoot a 3x3
  • Let ARN-220 tap-R to swap, hold-R to reload
  • Bring back Dagger optional tap-M2 to backstab
  • Buff Dagger backstab from 320 to 350
  • Give Sword optional tap-M2 to lunge
  • Make Dual Blades parry 100% accurate
  • Let Dual Blades cancel M1 with M2/vice-versa
  • Fix Dual Blades/Riot Shield parry/block reg
  • Make Spear M2 only do 1 spin per click
  • Glitch Barrel/Grenade should stop a mine from detonating when destroyed
  • Remove Nullified player collision/hitbox so they can’t abuse the invincibility to bodyblock weapon damage/players while invincible
  • Rework Glitch Trap, infinite duration AoE silence that doubles as detection due to loud sound/visible tether is as unhealthy as Stun Gun was
  • Revert Gravity Vortex duration “buffs”, it made it worse for countering Cashout steals
  • Remove i-frames when defibbed
  • Let people cancel/refuse being revived/defibbed
  • Revert Anti-Gravity Cube radius “buffs”, it made it worse for preventing/countering Cashout steals

I'm gonna mainly focus on the initial paragraph to this so bear with me. If the sniper would have maybe half of the bullet drop it has now taken away then maybe it'd be a fair weapon to use by more players to counter snipe enemy lights.
I'm very rusty on light nowadays but still okay on casual game modes but I'll switch to light for team reasons if the enemy light sniper is super accurate (sometimes suspiciously super accurate). Sniper hunting is fun.
To bring back up the initial point I mentioned in the first post, about Halo one weapon balance where anybody can pick up the weapon but skill puts a person on top but they'll always be at the mercy of a well placed shot by anybody, if you even out the sniper (the bullet drop being halved, everything else stays) then there can be more even sniping between snipers, skilled or lightly skilled (or an emergency counter sniper to shut off the enemy light for like, I don't know, two minutes so my team can do anything at all on the platform in power shift).

Seriously, for a casual game that has a competitive mode on the side, the rancid sweats in this game sometimes are just horrendous.

@small crest this game has a small but very ambitious community i think. mostly aim fanatics.
and for powershift. i absolutely understand everyone being upset about powershift snipers. they just kill the fun of the mode. although there are several ways to counter them while being on the platform (as a team), they should just ban this weapon for powershift. i dont play this mode but i get it.

honestly, i think powershift as a mode does only properly work when played as a team and most importantly. PLAYED LIKE OVERWATCH WITH COUNTERPICKING.

and picking sniper to counter a sniper in ps definitely isn’t the most effective thing

This is just my opinion, I can be wrong.

Why should duel blades have 100% parry? If this buff was actually applied then the only counter play to the sword by yourself would be grenades. It wouldn’t be fun to fight against. On top of that, there would be no incentive for the attacker to shoot a duel sword user, because they can just parry ALL of the shots back onto them and deal a ton of damage

If dagger backstab one shotted a heavy, there would be no incentive to play around your team, every light would switch to the dagger. One shotting somebody is not fun.

If spear had a cancellable spin, there would be no incentive to use the other spear attack option.

(This is all my opinion, criticism is welcome, no hate to you Suzu)

Here is a list of weapons that need to be buffed but not make them meta in the next balance patch

Spear: enable the ability to cancel the spin attack animation, For controller players, they need to press L2 or left trigger to cancel it and for mouse and keyboard players they need to press right click, increase the basic attack damage combo to 75, 85, 95 and increase the spin attack damage to 130

KS-23: increase the projectile speed to 500m/s, add a 1.2x headshot multiplier, increase the environmental damage so we can two shot most walls, I know it's a shotgun but it shoots slug rounds and this will reward players for hitting headshots with the KS-23

Riot shield: increase the swing speed by a little

Dual blades: add a parry mechanic so when swinging the blades you can hold the deflect button to parry the bullets and increase the first swing damage from 50 to 55 and increase the second swing damage from 60 to 65 and lastly increase the final attack damage from 65 to 70

AKM: increase magazine capacity to 34, 35 or 36, the choice is yours on what number you choose

ARN-220: increase the fire rate to 750 rpm, decrease the duration of the tactical reload animation from 2.45s to 2.30s, decrease the duration of the full reload animation from 2.80s to 2.60s

Smoke Grenade: decrease the ammo from 3 to 2, and decrease the cooldown from 50s to 20s

Please, please, please Embark these weapons and gadget need some love

How does spear range work? In wiki it says the lunge distance (therefore range?) is 7,5m on basic attacks BUT when I checked it in the practice range it was a bit over 4m. Hwo does it work?? So confusing

Embark thank you for making The Finals, but can you fix the glitch thats been happening since the beginning of the game, where we cant shoot, or use any gadgets & are stuck reloading a full mag. Also can we have prioritize picking up statues, or cans instead of chairs, flowerpots etc.? Love your game : ) & If we’ll have voices we should have better communication lines. Like “I have a zipline im going to place soon”. Helps for soloq on console.

Wheel of trust is the worrst name possible, sounds like you are joking on a players. Every next wheel RNG is worse, no I have played almost the whole event and I got 10/20 rewards only with lovest value, still need to spend 3600 coins to get the set which you sell and FOMO (according to yourself, trying not to use FOMO). Just addd those to the actual shop or make proper pricing.

Counterpoint: make grinding Ranked more rewarding than grinding casual or World Tour.

Perhaps seasonal splits with some amount of Multibucks based on rank? or cosmetics based on rank? Even just badges?
Skill-based matchmaking exists, it's called the Ranked ladder, and I would really encourage Embark to incentivize people to actually play the competitive mode if they are good enough, rather than playing the casual gamemodes because that's where the rewards are.

The entire reason high-ELO players grind casual or World Tour is for the cosmetic rewards, so put more rewards into the Ranked track and people will be attracted to those gamemodes instead if they are skilled enough to earn them.

can we get single tap dagger and sword secondary back please. In a competitive game it makes no sense to not know when your attack is ready considering everyone obviously wants to deal as much damage in as short a time as possible to win a fight. This is an accessibility issue as far as I'm concerned.
You could argue that tap activation is worse in some scenarios so I think we should get the option 🙂
I also think Bank It should return. Terminal Attack is so not The Finals and BI is soooooooo The Finals. Also Also I think there should be a party type mode where you get random fun modes.

Ranked is scuffed until you fill people that leave prematurely. Everyone else on the team suffers the entire time. Especially if they've left during the first round. For now, I'll stick to quickplay or something I guess? TIA.
