Black clouds now loom over the arena, with blue circles marking where lighting will strike next, whoever stands in the area marked by a blue circle will get shocked, 20 health will be taken away from them but they will now get a speed boost for a short duration.

The grapple hook keeps pulling u in a wall unless u cancel it but it would be better if u could stick to walls for a few seconds and u can aim and shoot but it's for a limited time to avoid camping,maybe even a wall jump from the wall u grappling to.

With how powerful minigun is the flamethrower to set areas on fire but u have to keep firing at that area for a long time,it's more of a defensive option as u r busy firing areas rather then enemies,also the flame range should increase the more u continuously keep firing plus it takes the whole mag to do that then it's empty so it's balanced,all of this takes time commitment.

The 93r time between burst is weird and not fun to use,make it so there isn't a gap or less time gap between burst and u can slightly nerf damage since u r increasing fire rate but the damage fall out is longer so there is a balance since due to recoil u can spam it long/medium range.

Add fanning revolver for light with incendiary bullets but they r projectile but hit hard,u can use fanning action to quickly fire bullet.

Ks23 needs a headshot buff 1.2x,wall penetration and NO bullet deviation.

Breach charge should break smaller holes in walls so lights can minimise exposure that large destructon has right now, because u have 3 charges u can still make bigger holes.It should still stack damage.

BUFF THE V9S

No one ever plays it anymore because it has seen no improvements while other weapons across all classes have increased in light killing effectiveness. Its a single fire weapon that sucks at range, but hipfire is unreliable, so you end up losing close quarters most times. It can't even kill a medium by surprise if they have good reflexes, unless you literally hit EVERY SINGLE shot. You miss literally once and you're dead. Increase damage and reduce mag size, or reduce recoil. It is in a miserable state.

People say that its good because a full mag does 800 dmg, no, a full mag does 800 dmg only at <10 meters, then damage MAJORLY falls off. It takes 7 SHOTS to kill a LIGHT at 20 meters, whereas XP takes 9 shots, but the XP has a MUCH higher firerate and larger mag size, plus its full auto so you can just hold down and aim, instead of picking and choosing your shots. LH1, another single fire weapon, only takes 4, and thats after the nerf. The only time the V9S outshoots the XP is at <10 meters, but single fire weapons at close range is not reliable. You can easily hipfire the XP and hit far more shots than V9S, solely because you can afford to miss a few times in your spray.

When compared to medium weapons, FCAR, FAMAS, etc we get the same results. TTK data is misleading because it assuming 100% hit shots, so heres # of shots to kill:

Medium v V9S At 10 meters:
Automatics:
FCAR 7 = 7
AKM 8 > 7

Single Fire / Burst:
FAMAS 7 = 7 (burst fire, so 3 clicks)
Pike 3 < 7
Revolver 3 < 7
Repeater 2 < 7

Cerb 2 < 7 (with fire damage)

Medium v V9S At 20 meters:
Automatics:
FCAR 7 < 11
AKM 8 < 11

3 parties are a part of the game, the issue is the blatant teaming with one of the 3rd or 4th place squads so that they can steal/double the last cashout easily. With the issues of solo queue and playing against top 500 stacks, the skill gap is quite large in these tournaments allowing for one team to dictate the entirety of the match. Final rounds are extremely one sided due to this strategy and the style of play is not that enjoyable to watch or play on either side. I would completely understand doing so if this game was more popular and had a higher player count to fill ranked lobbies with equally skilled teams, but unfortunately we have teams going overwhelmingly negative progressing through ranked tournaments and top 500 teams steam rolling an entire lobby for the thrill of it.

Revert Sword Lunge to 140. Removing Lunge+QM combo vs Light when Light kills Light fast with literally anything is nonsensical. Only change needed = Fix phantom strikes.

Sword was balanced.
No synergy with Dash = Would be too immobile for Light melee that needs multiple hits
No QM synergy = Breakpoints would be too slow for Light melee that needs multiple hits, requires not overshooting lunge to make it harder to aim at you, must stop right beside enemy to QM
No full damage multihit = Would be useless if >1 enemy, in melee as lowest HP class but 0 breakpoints hit on anyone except first, pick a gun for ranged non-multihit damage
No lingering flicks = Would be too readable for Light melee that needs multiple hits

Sword is the single worst weapon in the game. Not only is it melee on lowest HP class, you removed every single breakpoint fast enough to work vs even remotely competent players.

What if they nerfed the upfront damage by 20%, but increased the fire damage by the same overall damage, so that if you hit all your pellets the upfront + fire damage would be the same, but it would punish users who brawl and fire all 3 shots in quick succession, as it would only be doing 80% upfront damage per shot, but only one instance of the burn its supposed to do? It would make it more difficult to outright brawl with, and more of a weapon that is good at harassing and keeping pressure on. Heavies wouldnt get 3 in quick succession and would require to you to use cover and wait inbetween shots rather than just nuking them.

Remove defibs, they're toxic af. Its the strongest gadget, the only MUST PICK gadget left in the game.

Even though the defibs are the most meta gadget, there are still panicky medium players who do horrible fibs that just get their team mate killed against instantly then the medium themselves right after (because they took 150+ damage diving for a shit defib).

Those panicky mediums never learn their lesson on this because only the person they revive actually has to suffer for it.

So many other gadgets would be more important to aid revives if defibs were no longer an option.

Nerf glitch mines and motion sensors, there needs to be downtime. Make the hitbox for shooting all mines larger.

Rework ranked a bit. Make it so you can swap from your reserves mid game, but it costs an extra coin. This way you aren't hard stuck if you're directly countered, but can't do it infinitely. And it costs resources.

minigun is not op.. if it was ppl would spam minigun in ranked instead of fcar, m11, xp and any safe to play rifle that can laser headshots at any range. heavy isnt even the most popular class, since only shak, deagles and lewis are meta, his other guns are very close range.

Why would you want to swap the weapon specialisations around? That just doesn’t really make sense. And the “right now” part is just wrong, M11 has a notably higher damage output than the XP and the XP does have significant recoil.

Im not sure what the weapon identity even is right now.

The big mag size was its strong side for me, being a good option for closer ranges and still somewhat okay at longer ones, really nice in combination with heal beam, but now its no longer the case.

Bring back bank it. Buff revolver range by 6-10m, or reload speed by .5 seconds. Revert model entirely, for obvious reasons (turning down damage without buffing fire rate => longer TTK => non competitive against any other weapon that has more TTK. Range was never an issue with the gun, just exaggerated claims done by people getting finished off past 20m by a dumb model spray). Do something about the dumbass motion sensor and glitch mine trend, like having 3 charges on the reshaper or less than one minute per reshaper charge. Remove the defib invulnerability and ability silence, make it respawn you with 30-40% health and no invulnerabilty and no ability silence, because defibbing is borderline trolling in most combat situations unless you take your time and move your teammate to safety, which is what everybody and their grandma did before the unnecessary defib invulnerability rework. You MUST revert sword back to 140 damage. That damage was completely fair and well‑calculated. Claiming sword was “nerfed for lights” is simply wrong—lights have always been its natural counter. Compared to a 'one‑shot' with lunge + quick‑melee, Cerberus is far more oppressive. So sword must have lunge + QM 'one-shot' light kill, because light is counter to sword, as everyone knows. You keep saying you’re nerfing for lights, but the real beneficiaries are the mediums. Mediums are the most powerful class in The Finals, and sword needs to have its original 140 lunge to at least be competitive against them. also, without at least 140 damage on lunge, it’s never viable against heavies.

Additionally, ranged weapons are strong not only at distance but also in close quarters. Yet melees—which can’t exert any power at range—must naturally be devastating up close. The idiots who have never used melee don’t understand that you have to shut down melees before they get in range, because they lack the intelligence to grasp how difficult it is to approach a ranged weapon firing from the roof.

It’s absurd to call melees skill‑free weapons. melees demand movement precision, positioning and all kinds of mechanical skill—something Cerberus players don’t even need. Yet Embark nerfs melee based solely on the opinions of noobs who have never played melee themselves. Stop ruining the game.

Embark please consider moving Defib from Medium to Light class in an internal play test, get some embark coders and streamers together and let them play for a couple of days to see how it works out.

I am of the honest belief that this is the only way to prevent oppressive triple defib stacking (which is the core problem with this gadget)

You can tweak Defib all you want but since it restores 50% of your health on revive, Mediums large starting HP of 250 will always make it broken in MMM/MMH constellations

This problem would disappear organically by moving it to Light, because even if a LLL team all run Defib they would only spawn with 75 HP each

This change would naturally push towards a LMH meta, which should be the ideal case

In exchange you "could" move Teleportal from Light to Medium, as a light main i consider it to be borderline broken giving to light class, it's a must pick because paired with lights mobility it's just so strong

Its very upsetting that the model and ks23 are deeply affected by jab cancel. I understand that you want these to weapons to play at a specific range but the lack of jab cancel ends up making them worthless at close range.

Ks23's best specialisation is winch as it enhances what makes the weapon good and makes up for the weapon's weakness. The other specialisations, while are fine picks, do not specifically enhance the weapon in any specific way. Ks23 cannot take advantage of the quick switch to goo gun as it needs to pump, can't take advantage of mesh either well because of pump, charge and slam isn't that amazing of a specialisation and ks23 excels more at pumping out damage in close range without it (not to mention that it can break walls on its own). Ks23 is very much enhanced by winch due to its free one shot with it. However, the removal of jab cancel has really hurt the feel, fun and effectiveness of the weapon at close range and with winch. You can be more disciplined and be more careful with jabs, but it is still just far weaker than other weapons without jab cancel at close range. Not to mention that all of heavy's other weapons can jab as they please and close the gap in health far faster than ks23.

Model is another weapon that's far more enhanced by jab and the lack of jab cancel hurts it deeply. Again, I understand that you would like the weapon to play at a certain range, however, because of the damage nerf to the model, it has made jab combos with the weapon more important than ever. It has made model most effective at jab range and borderline worthless at mid range despite the fire rate buff. Not to mention that it's a shotgun and long range is simply not an option for the model. At close range, it is also simply just outclassed by cerberus, which doesn't need jab cancel.

What's most frustrating is cerberus not being held down by the constraints of jab. It doesn't need jab at all to be effective but isn't affected if it uses jab in-between shots

Problem:

This game is the only one competitive game, the teammate have BIG vision different.
In LOL or Dota2 they have mini map, in APEX and OW, the route that enemy from is predicable (and their ping system is powerful), in R6, the dead player could ping and all player's move speed is slow.
If you don't have DC, your team would very difficult to stay in the same page.
It make new player or solo player feal chaos.
No share healthy bar, it make this game is soloq hell.
And also make oneshot-kill, close-range weapon too OP in causal or low-elo match.
If someone not ping the enemy, your team would have BIG disadvantage to against any team.

How to solve:
Share healthy bar to make one shot kill weapon more weak in casual, it would also make light in high-elo match more viable for solo player.
In the past, light is bad in high-elo match is because they are lack of key information to fight.
Share healthy bar could make solo player winable when they play against a team with DC.
This feature would not change too much in high-elo rank, because you can still use ping system and DC to do the same thing.

Heavy is a little weak in high-elo mach.
Buff RPG to 120 damage would make dash light in casual more weak.

I think this is a problem with arena carriables since all of them except one were with various canisters. The first one was with a vault and I think that counted, and im fine if it only works with vault, but make it say that so I don't try with explosive canisters.

Preface by saying, please revert sword nerf. It has its own unique playstyle that has no equivalent. I think many balance changes are heading down a path that will end up slashing the player base this game has cut out of the fps community. Others have talked about the more technical limitations of the sword that should not qualify it for a nerf, but I'd like to shift the perspective to the game as a whole. People flocked to this game because of its destructive environment, unique gamemode and sprawling maps but the thing that gave this game staying power compared to many new release fps games is how unique each play style could be.

Ultimately what made this game so great is that you were given a giant map that could be changed in any way you wanted, with a gamemode that has the most creative playmaking in the entire fps genre, and you were given a wide array of tools to engage with that content how you see fit. The aggressive nerfs from devs seem to betray this core concept, filtering all players to the most optimized option as many games in the fps genre have done. It stifles creativity and not only makes your playerbase less unique in their approach to the game, but makes the game itself come closer to the boring uniform standard most competitive games fall into. This game didn’t have to be that. Creative playmaking using your unique set up should be a skill that is valued above all others in this game, even as we get closer to esports.

Sword Light has VERY little viability since damage change. EVERY single other Light weapon can OUTKITE and outplay Sword (even BEFORE the patch). And now Sword has no reward for closing the gap on a Light (or any class for that matter), which is already a hard enough task.

Before patch, Sword had plenty of counters. I understand you're trying to balance the game for EVERYONE not just competitive, but this change was MASSIVE and there are other ways to empower new players. If Sword is oppressive, perhaps nerf the amount of damage lunge can do to multiple opponents back to back (maybe first hit of Lunge is 140, then all successive hits after decrease slightly until the attack animation is complete, etc).

Also, like mentioned in your patch, we have no idea how stun is going to affect the meta and playstyle. But as for now, Sword is in a HORRID spot and this change was a massive disrupter in its ability. Hopefully we see something more creative outside of just adding or subtracting the dmg of it.

This game also continues to give me weird issues when my Razer mouse polling rate is set to 1000hz. after a single match or a few, if I move the mouse around rapidly while on any menu (loadout selection, main menu, even the Escape menu while in game), it drops the framerate to basically a standstill frame by frame slideshow. It seems to be fine in game though.

The grapple hook keeps pulling u in a wall unless u cancel it but it would be better if u could stick to walls for a few seconds and u can aim and shoot but it's for a limited time to avoid camping,maybe even a wall jump from the wall u grappling to.

With how powerful minigun is the flamethrower to set areas on fire but u have to keep firing at that area for a long time,it's more of a defensive option as u r busy firing areas rather then enemies,also the flame range should increase the more u continuously keep firing plus it takes the whole mag to do that then it's empty so it's balanced,all of this takes time commitment.

The 93r time between burst is weird and not fun to use,make it so there isn't a gap or less time gap between burst and u can slightly nerf damage since u r increasing fire rate but the damage fall out is longer so there is a balance since due to recoil u can spam it long/medium range.

Add fanning revolver for light with incendiary bullets but they r projectile but hit hard,u can use fanning action to quickly fire bullet.

Ks23 needs a headshot buff 1.2x,wall penetration and NO bullet deviation.

Breach charge should break smaller holes in walls so lights can minimise exposure that large destructon has right now, because u have 3 charges u can still make bigger holes.It should still stack damage.

Making new player experience better.
The grind for currency is pretty big, now, the starting loadouts are decent, but they already are at disadvantage, when going against seasoned players.
I would say have the guns unlocked for them, or lower their price, so they get new toys to try every one or two matches.

Also I wouldn't mind if you could figure out a way to let people complete old Season passes. Maybe ask the same price, but you don't get the multibucks? So doing them at a time would still have a advantage.

But I think a lot of people would appreciate it if they could select the grind for the pass they want (bought), and would give a ton for people to grind for, if they wish.

I actually had an idea for a gravity gun specialisation myself. It would function like the half life 2 one, but it would be a duplicator. So you could pick up a cannister and shoot 5 of them and it'd still hold it infront of you so you could melee prep them, but be at a slightly different angle for uniqueness.
Maybe it could pick up and throw enemy turrets and rip off small slabs of concrete off a building to yeet for more value. The screen could shake and it could take 3 seconds to rip holes that'd be cool.

I hope next season we get a medieval styled map. Or a map with a mix of a castle or two mixed with more modern housing around it. Like Monaco or Seoul. Nerf defib:

  • Either limit it's pick rate per team to prevent 3x Medium defibs or lower the defib health regain for Medium as a deterent.
    Buff Riot Shield or change it's mechanics.
    Buff dual blades, or change their mechanics.
    Bring back KS and other animation cancels for specializations.
    Add a grenade indicator.
    Put glitch mines on Light or Heavy and nerf them. Maybe have their do a burst of glitch, not a consistent one.

Overall, I believe this game is suffering from Medium's current style. It is designed to be able to do basically everything combat-wise, which is ridiculous. You want to snipe? Medium can do it. You want to melee? Medium can do it. You want to use a shotgun at close quarters? Medium can do it.
I understand that Medium is meant to be a Jack of all trades kind of deal, but it should be capable at most, but a master at nothing in specific. Instead, it's a must-have for sweats who want to optimize everything, and they get the best of both worlds because of how Medium currently it.

Medium can perform support duties:

  • Healing
  • Defib
  • Mines
  • Turrets

Medium can perform movement duties:

  • Zipline
  • Jump Pad
  • Demat

Medium can perform combat effectively and indepedently with it's variety of weapons.

  • You can have 1 person for long range.
  • 1 for close.
  • 1 for mid.
    While all still having a defib to bring themselves back, effectively giving everyone on the team 2 lives. And also having the movement and support responsibilities that Light/Heavy should be handling.

Medium is the problem in this game because it has essentially nill drawbacks, BESIDES area destruction... which can now just be substituted with expo canisters and grenades. Change how Medium works, stop freaking out about Light and Heavy being too strong, they both have very noticable weaknesses, while Medium really doesn't (other than destruction). It's infuriating seeing the 3x Medium meta, and it's even more unfun to play against. You made 3 classes for a reason, make them all a viable choice, preferably being LMH instead of a 3x of ANY CLASS.

CONTINUED.../ I don’t think we’re at the point yet but I’m worried that as the game comes closer and closer to being a true competitive shooter we will see more nerfs at the behest of loudmouthed individuals that want to play in the most streamlined meta way possible. Which by the way, I'm not trying to insult, play how you want. I also heard about a potential spear nerf which is concerning.

I just think if this game has a chance of getting bigger or more mainstream in the future it's not going to be by forcing everyone into the same 2 or 3 playstyles and I think the sword nerf besides being unnecessary and destroying an entire playstyle, is indicative of an emerging meta conforming to the complaints of a few rather than the strengths of many.

R6 went down this road and it ended up hurting their entire community. On the other hand, although much smaller in playerbase and in a different genre, Chivalry 2s competitive scene is quite possibly the pinnacle of high level player expression. Even at the highest level of play in Chiv, there are about as many playstyles as there are players. Oftentimes comp players will make smurf accounts and almost immediately be recognized just by their style of play. Overcoming the strengths and weaknesses of yours and others playstyles is what makes the game so engaging and why large competitive events are still held by passionate players almost a year after dev support ended. In my opinion that level of individuality should be the goal for Embark if they wish to move this game into the mainstream.

But either Glitch nades and barrels need to go through, or its HP needs to be nerfed (and keep grenade interception as a percentage rather than flat amount so it can continue intercepting its current amount of grenades.

Revert Sword Lunge to 140. Removing Lunge+QM combo vs Light when Light kills Light fast with literally anything is nonsensical. Only change needed = Fix phantom strikes.

Sword was balanced.

  • No synergy with Dash = Would be too immobile for Light melee that needs multiple hits
  • No QM synergy = Breakpoints would be too slow for Light melee that needs multiple hits, requires not overshooting lunge to make it harder to aim at you, must stop right beside enemy to QM

BUFF THE V9S

No one ever plays it anymore because it has seen no improvements while other weapons across all classes have increased in light killing effectiveness. Its a single fire weapon that sucks at range, but hipfire is unreliable, so you end up losing close quarters most times. It can't even kill a medium by surprise if they have good reflexes, unless you literally hit EVERY SINGLE shot. You miss literally once and you're dead. Increase damage and reduce mag size, or reduce recoil. It is in a miserable state.

People say that its good because a full mag does 800 dmg, no, a full mag does 800 dmg only at <10 meters, then damage MAJORLY falls off. It takes 7 SHOTS to kill a LIGHT at 20 meters, whereas XP takes 9 shots, but the XP has a MUCH higher firerate and larger mag size, plus its full auto so you can just hold down and aim, instead of picking and choosing your shots. LH1, another single fire weapon, only takes 4, and thats after the nerf. The only time the V9S outshoots the XP is at <10 meters, but single fire weapons at close range is not reliable. You can easily hipfire the XP and hit far more shots than V9S, solely because you can afford to miss a few times in your spray.

When compared to medium weapons, FCAR, FAMAS, etc we get the same results. TTK data is misleading because it assuming 100% hit shots, so heres # of shots to kill:

Reminder that sword, a weapon that does nothing at a range, manages to have a slower time to kill than m11, ARN, XP, Recurve Bow, LITERALLY EVERY GUN IN THE GAME! There are around six weapons in the game that have a slower time to kill than sword. If you want to attack someone from 3m away, you would think a melee would be the best option, but sword is one of the worst weapons in the game from 3m away or 20. Double barrel literally one shots lights from 4m away, and sword does 60 damage on swing with a max range of 3m. I get not wanting there to be too many instant kills against lights in the game, but you need to either nerf double barrels damage or give it to sword. It's ridiculous that I can sneak up to someone, spend a whole 1/2 a second charging, and not even get to kill within one second when an m11 can kill me in almost half of the time it took me to charge in the first place. You somehow managed to take a mid weapon and bring it to the bottom three of the game. I can't even think of anything that's objectively worse than sword, I just say bottom three for sword's benefit. In fact, most weapons (there are literally only 5-6 who can't) can kill you BEFORE YOU EVEN CHARGE THE ALT. If the damage is this pathetic now, the charge should just be instant. 105 damage on a .5 second charge makes for what is the most pathetic dps in the game, whether you try to mix in regular slashes or just repeatedly charge. I'm not even mad at embark over this. I just think it is utterly pathetic that something this abysmal is brought on by people like Appoh brigading the game. Almost every competitive game I've played I left because of their community, and I really hope the finals doesn't end up like that. There's nothing the devs can even do about it, some players are just pathetic. Ultimately the band-aid fix has also really ruined my experience and outlook on the game too. I get that some changes take time, but this one just sucked.

I'm just gonna say it, needs saying. Low settings, it's too easy to see cloak lights. Like they aren't even invisible, they're pretty easy to spot if they're moving, even at range, and if they're holding still, I can still see them fine up to like 15m.

And I'm also a really good listener, I can hear that microwave sound from so far away and pinpoint them so easily, that they'd be better off not even cloaking.

Also, don't nerf minigun, make all of heavy's weapons throngle the arena just like minigun. Except maybe the longer range weapons past their max range.

I think many balance changes are heading down a path that will end up slashing the player base this game has cut out of the fps community. Others have talked about the more technical limitations of the sword that should not qualify it for a nerf, but I'd like to shift the perspective to the game as a whole. People flocked to this game because of its destructive environment, unique gamemode and sprawling maps but the thing that gave this game staying power compared to many new release fps games is how unique each play style could be.

Ultimately what made this game so great is that you were given a giant map that could be changed in any way you wanted, with a gamemode that has the most creative playmaking in the entire fps genre, and you were given a wide array of tools to engage with that content how you see fit. The aggressive nerfs from devs seem to betray this core concept, filtering all players to the most optimized option as many games in the fps genre have done. It stifles creativity and not only makes your playerbase less unique in their approach to the game, but makes the game itself come closer to the boring uniform standard most competitive games fall into. This game didn’t have to be that. Creative playmaking using your unique set up should be a skill that is valued above all others in this game, even as we get closer to esports.

The ks-23 needs 100% accuracy, any other buff is pointless

The ks-23 is the only direct hit projectile weapon that is not afforded the luxury of accuracy which is the main reason its suffering. In concept its great and i love the gun, but anyone who has played it for any significant ammount of time knows that its main point of frustration is its unrelieability. Because of the spread targets beyond 8 meters are a gamble to hit. The feature inplace to make it a skillful weapon is already the projectile, however this is ruined by the spread. You can predict your targets movement, lead your shot correctly but still miss because the game decided your slug goes left.

The only buff the ks needs to be good is accuracy. Buffs like range falloff or firerate wouldnt solve the underlying issue of it being frustrating to use beyond 8 meters, headshots without accuracy are pointless, damage is going to force winch ks back which was not very fun to die to. A bigger projectile would maybe work but decrease the guns skill expression.

Even with 100% accuracy the gun would be far from op due to the small mag and bad ttk. However it would be a lot more fun and a lot less frustrating to use

Revert Sword Lunge to 140. Removing Lunge+QM combo vs Light when Light kills Light fast with literally anything is nonsensical. Only change needed = Fix phantom strikes.

Sword was balanced.

  • No synergy with Dash = Would be too immobile for Light melee that needs multiple hits
  • No QM synergy = Breakpoints would be too slow for Light melee that needs multiple hits, requires not overshooting lunge to make it harder to aim at you, must stop right beside enemy to QM
  • No full damage multihit = Would be useless if >1 enemy, in melee as lowest HP class but 0 breakpoints hit on anyone except first, pick a gun for ranged non-multihit damage
  • No lingering flicks = Would be too readable for Light melee that needs multiple hits

Sword is the single worst weapon in the game. Not only is it melee on lowest HP class, you removed every single breakpoint fast enough to work vs even remotely competent players.

Update after patch 6.0 :
Still no stun gun after a month. It should come back .
Cheaters are spreading all over the game. A lot of wallhack and aimbot.
Servers need an improvement fast. It's still boring to need behind a cover because your dash do not register correctly with the netcode.

For the game

  • Add "step" in the reload animation so when you climb on something during a reload, it's not completly reset.
  • Increase the netcode/tickrate/servers. Getting kill at 3m far from a hammer/sword or behind a wall / door / cover is not ACCEPTABLE. Servers can't register your movements
  • Perma ban cheaters
  • Add a report option " Sabotage " in the report section in game please.
  • Let us choose our sight weapons at the beginning of a game
  • Let us go in practice with friends
  • Delete low gravity event. It's not fun AT ALL and unfair for Light. Movement are cancel and they only got 150HP
  • Random skin and charm list for weapons/gadgets
  • We shouldn't lost point in ranked when a team mate leave the squad and didn't play during the round
  • Let us invite friends or join them in group even if we are not the group leader
  • Add the possibility to look at the profil/card of friends and recent players.
  • Dash is trash with your netcode. Servers can't register a dash behind a cover and you will die anyway
  • **Give us the possibility to customize rules in private match. Like "only M and Dual Blade", "only Light and SR84", "only marksman", "No heal, Light only and grenade only". You can imagine all you want and put it in private match for streamer and their community to make the game more fun **

  • You shouldn't be able to right clic sword + dash
  • CB01-Repeater is just stupidly OP. Nerf the damage
  • CL40 revert the buff.
  • Buff Vanish Bomb and make it start regen instant and/or. It will increase survability for the Light and it can be use for your teammates too !
  • Nerf Turret range.
  • Nerf proximity sensor range
  • Reduce the radius of the reflect of the Dual Blade or let us shoot in the feet or something else to let us counter DB when you got an AR
  • **Nerf Cerberus damage ! **
  • Nerf the range of the KS shotgun. You can put 100 dmg at 20m.
  • Nerf PIKE to 48 instead of 50 dmg. You know what you did in 5.8 with that.
  • LH1 nerf was to strong in 6.0. Buff it to 45 dmg.
  • Flamethrower and hook should NOT get you through walls or other.
  • Nerf the hammer like you did for the sword to 100, because > Winch + Hammer + Melee = Free Kill. Same with chains.
  • Revive and Objectives score should add additional points in ranked
  • Rework defib: Reduce the cooldown reset to 5s and give 100HP instead of 50% of your HP. It will force Medium to revive more safety !
  • Rework Sonar : Scan 5 times instead of 3 but if you don't move it can't scan you
  • Chain and hook shouldn't do damage.

The number of leavers in Powershift is becoming a major issue. People frequently abandon the match as soon as they perceive it's going badly. Since there's currently no penalty for leaving, players see it as a zero-consequence way to ditch a potentially frustrating game and immediately re-queue, rather than sticking it out.

While the fast queue times (often under 30 secs) are appreciated, it feels like it might be contributing to unbalanced matches. Getting matched as solos/duos against coordinated 4 or 5-stacks happens often and can feel hopeless from the start. This imbalance, especially when combined with falling far behind or getting spawn-camped by teams ignoring the platform with 5+ minutes left, removes any incentive to stay and fight, making leaving the logical choice for many.

This frequently leads to matches devolving into uneven 3v5 or 2v5 scenarios. These aren't fun or competitive for anyone involved – wins feel hollow and losses feel like a waste of time due to factors outside player skill. Implementing leaver penalties for Powershift seems essential to discourage this behaviour. Perhaps also tweaking matchmaking to better account for large groups, even if queues take slightly longer, could improve match quality and reduce the frustration that causes players to leave in the first place.

The stuttering in the first match of a session has been improved (doesn’t last as long) but it’s still there. Not sure what causes it but it would be really nice if it was fixed.

Always happens in the first match of a session (i.e. first match of any mode immediately after startup) and seems to surround interactions with other players meaning I just kinda lose my first five or six engagements until the stuttering tapers off. It’s not my internet (I’ve had three different providers in two cities since I started playing) and it’s not my computer (game runs great at all other times) so it’s gotta be a server issue. I’ve seen others complain of stuttering lasting much longer than the beginning of their first match so I’m one of the lucky ones apparently and it’s still obnoxious.

Load up is already super slow but I’d be happy to wait another minute if it meant solidifying my server connection in order to have a smoother in-match experience.

Also, give flamethrower an airblast as a secondary attack. I think that would be neat.

Embark please consider moving Defib from Medium to Light class in an internal play test, get some embark coders and streamers together and let them play for a couple of days to see how it works out.

I am of the honest belief that this is the only way to prevent oppressive triple defib stacking (which is the core problem with this gadget)

You can tweak Defib all you want but since it restores 50% of your health on revive, Mediums large starting HP of 250 will always make it broken in MMM/MMH constellations

This problem would disappear organically by moving it to Light, because even if a LLL team all run Defib they would only spawn with 75 HP each

This change would naturally push towards a LMH meta, which should be the ideal case

In exchange you "could" move Teleportal from Light to Medium, as a light main i consider it to be borderline broken giving to light class, it's a must pick because paired with lights mobility it's just so strong

It's complainers everywhere - here, reddit, and twitch - who want this game to be purely gun-oriented experience, Sledge is next up on the docket if they have their way, and game loses its unique charm of melee viability.

Sword deserves a proper rework, and current damage nerf to lunge is to get people to complain less for the time being. Either remove multihit on sword (which was done for Sledge before, overhead used to have multihit) - or make subsequent target damage lower (140 -> 120 -> 100?).

With how powerful minigun is the flamethrower to set areas on fire but u have to keep firing at that area for a long time,it's more of a defensive option as u r busy firing areas rather then enemies,also the flame range should increase the more u continuously keep firing plus it takes the whole mag to do that then it's empty so it's balanced,all of this takes time commitment.

The 93r time between burst is weird and not fun to use,make it so there isn't a gap or less time gap between burst and u can slightly nerf damage since u r increasing fire rate but the damage fall out is longer so there is a balance since due to recoil u can spam it long/medium range.

Add fanning revolver for light with incendiary bullets but they r projectile but hit hard,u can use fanning action to quickly fire bullet.

Ks23 needs a headshot buff 1.2x,wall penetration and NO bullet deviation.

Breach charge should break smaller holes in walls so lights can minimise exposure that large destructon has right now, because u have 3 charges u can still make bigger holes.It should still stack damage.

Getting frustrated with ranked, you can be the second best team in the tournament but get eliminated in round 1, just because the last cashout gets so chaotic and is always worth enough to make the 2nd place team get 3rd if you don't get it. 1st place team will actively try to screw over second place team in favor of the worst team to get an easier win next round. Really hoping to see improvements to how players and teams respawn in the future.

My team and I lost that game despite stacking up 60 kills, which is equal to wiping both enemy teams 10 times. If you pay attention to our scores, it's not as if we ignored the objectives to focus solely on kills either. So how could we dominate almost every fight, and still lose ?

Here's why: the respawn system actually punishes teams who win fights.

Killed 2/3 players from one team ? No worries, they'll both be back together with full HP & ammo within a few seconds. It took you too long to kill the last player ? Even better, the whole team now gets to respawn together with full HP & ammo. Won a fight and wiped Orange team nearby a cashout by the end of its timer ? You'll get to walk across the entire map, possibly wasting time fighting Pink team on your way there, while Orange gets rewarded for dying by spawning on top of the next vault.

Losing teams should get a chance to make a comeback, sure, but sometimes it's so heavy-handed that it gets frustrating. If you play well, stay alive together and win fights, it just becomes an uphill battle, going up against teams with full HP and ammo while you're constantly running low on both, or even down 1-2 players.

So the outcomes ends up being decided by who gets lucking with respawns and not who's the best.

I would really like to see another melee skin from a future event, like the icicle one from Christmas. +2 will be way too overpowered, especially towards mediums
Hence I propose a better solution:

burst interval/delay: 0,275 > 0,2

Body TTK:
Light: 0,52 > 0,70 (light body TTK actually increases, explanation in example given). Shots: 7 (2 bursts + 1)
Medium: 1,19 > 1,02 Shots: 11 (3 bursts + 2)
Heavy: 1,64 > 1,40 Shots: 15 (5 bursts)

Head TTK
Light: 0,40 > 0,38 Shots: 5 (1 burst + 2)
Medium: 0,79 > 0,64 Shots: 7 (2 bursts + 1)
Heavy > 0,91 > 0,96 Shots: 10 (3 bursts + 1)

Why it makes sense:
Embark's idea for this weapon was for it to be a weapon that benefits from precise aim, and going for headshots (source, season 3 patch notes dev note)

Following this thought process, let me give an example:
With these adjustments, if you fire 2 bursts, if only even 1 of those bullets hit the head, you will be able to 2 burst a light (TTK of 0,44)

Body TTKs are also way more reasonable due to low mag size, punishing nature.

The 93R reloads fast and does alot of damage when actually bursting. The tradeoff is that you have a low, punishing mag size; the 93R is very punishing even if you miss a single shot, as it can prevent you reaching a breakpoint quickly. This also applies to completely missing bursts, which due to the low mag size can prevent you from finishing off enemies. The actual burst nature also serves as a very slight trade-off (you cannot really pre-fire the 93R). These trade-offs in my opinion would balance out the buffs I'm proposing.

I would also propose that the 93R's damage drop-off be lowered to 23m to 35m (current drop-off starts at 28m)

Yall had no problem removing stun gun, but for some reason a gadget that does 2/3 OF A LIGHTS HEALTH INSTANTLY just gets a meh. No warning indicator, impossible to dodge, especially at close range, instant win for a heavy v light, or even v medium. I'm BEYOND tired of going into a fight and losing 100 health instantly as the heavy switches to RPG and shoots in 0.2 seconds. OR they panic and RPG when theyre losing, instant win. Remove it. Or make it a spec, OR give a CLEAR VISUAL CUE when a heavy is about to fire, OR make it take much longer to pull out. You can also literally INSTANTLY pull out your weapon after firing. 2 suggestions, make the team money count go up and down more smoothly so that it doesnt just go to an amount, kinda like if a team gets wiped in ranked, you can their money decrease more slowly and more satisfying-ish. Next suggestion, make the jukebox to be able to change the end of round music or maybe even more in game things. I like the season 4 end of round music, but it gets annoying after 2 seasons.

I think it would be neat if the repeater was a bit more telegraphed or clear when facing it. Often times I get killed or shot by one and don't have ample info to react. I'm fine with the damage it does, but if we had a more clear and distinct noise and/or a thicker bullet trail, akin to how the enemy snipers in payday 2 are treated, it would help greatly. The current meta, matchmaking, whatever it is feels terrible. Not having as much fun watching no one attempt to plant or move the box and play deathmatch. The cashouts feel like coinflip blowouts, teammates stagger constantly with the 'tied' respawn where you instantly respawn. I go breach and steal, my teammates are off fighting over 50m away when they aren't staggered. About 1/5 to 1/10 matches feels good when I go play quickcash. The duos I get paired with are borderline griefing with the chain resing each other fighting the same opponents for minutes at a time. You need to seriously consider just making Scotty and June yell at the player to go to the fucking cashout as a team. I cannot stress enough how my game experience (whether it's the matchmaking or adjustments) oscillates from teammates who can't play an objective together at all and seem lost, to teammates who refuse to queue up TDM, to finally having a decent game, back to terrible teamwork. I use revolver, demat, jumppad, reshaper, poison mines and it's typically enough to have control as a solo queuer in quickcash, but the teammates this season are abysmal and you cannot cover your own back with the weapon if your teammates won't play together for the objective.

First, the ARN-220 needs to have tap R do the swap and hold R do the reload. You should not be literally forced to waste bullets to get the “fast” swap mechanic instead of one of the slowest tactical reloads in the entire game among Light and Medium guns despite this being a Light gun.

Second, the ARN-220 “fast” reload speed needs to be ACTUALLY FAST. Embark, you literally said it’s meant to be used mid-combat but 1s takes longer than it takes to kill a full HP Light: This zippy assault rifle keeps you in the fight with lightning-fast reloads thanks to its secondary magazine.
Eg: You’re using the ARN-220, you shoot 15 bullets at someone, they get to cover. You can either:

  • Tactical reload for 2.45s (literally one of the slowest tactical reloads among both Light and Medium weapons despite being a Light gun)
  • Waste the remaining 15 bullets into a wall/floor to get the “fast” 1 second reload, which takes more than 2 seconds (wasting the remaining 15 bullets + “fast” reload since ARN-220 is 725 RPM) and hope the enemy is nice and won’t punish you for wasting bullets on purpose
  • Don’t reload, stay at 15/30, then be forcibly interrupted by a “fast” 1 second reload mid-fight, then keep shooting (assuming you didn’t get killed during the “fast” reload)

Buff the “fast” swap speed from 1.0s to 0.5s or less. The “fast” swap as it stands is an active detriment, not a boon. Even more so, considering you made the other reloads among the slowest in the entire game despite it being a Light gun.

I would enjoy a light having an explosive and the m79 is a good pick for both the light's motif and light's large area of burst damage weapons, but there are issues with this gun and its balancing/vision for how this gun could function.

  1. there doesn't seem to be a self damage modifier like other grenade launchers have, this is mostly to balance the quick melee issue that the winch and KS-23 had and Embark are vary unlikely to bring back because of how they miss treat the KS-23.

  2. (the damage is fine, but long ttk requires substantially better preformances in other areas) I understand that the gun is not supposed to be strong, because its an explosive and the fact that you have to balance around a gun with 1 round, but even with that the gun's ttk is pretty bad and nothing really stands out to make up for this issue. It sort of turns into an explosive version of the Season 2.0 KS-23, though it had 6 shots racking the gun was the same as that reload speed.

  3. DO NOT put bullet deviation on a gun that shoots projectiles, we saw this with the KS-23, its never been a good drawback, it makes it inconsistent for a weapon that isn't that reliable in the first place.

  4. visual recoil is not going to effect a gun that you shoot once before having to reload, that and the gun in real life doesn't have much recoil, I would link a Grand Thumb video where they show how little the recoil is but for ease of reading I'm not putting a hyperlink in here.

  5. four shots to break a wall is not high arena damage, for comparison the KS-23 and mini-gun are considered medium arena damage, I would say this is comparable to the China Grenade launcher that the medium has in time to destroy walls, so its better then most at breaking walls but not really that good when compared to others.

I'll try to make a post in weapons-gadgets on my take on what this gun could be.

Revert Sword Lunge to 140. Removing Lunge+QM combo vs Light when Light kills Light fast with literally anything is nonsensical. Only change needed = Fix phantom strikes.

Sword was balanced.

  • No synergy with Dash = Would be too immobile for Light melee that needs multiple hits
  • No QM synergy = Breakpoints would be too slow for Light melee that needs multiple hits, requires not overshooting lunge to make it harder to aim at you, must stop right beside enemy to QM
  • No full damage multihit = Would be useless if >1 enemy, in melee as lowest HP class but 0 breakpoints hit on anyone except first, pick a gun for ranged non-multihit damage
  • No lingering flicks = Would be too readable for Light melee that needs multiple hits

Sword is the single worst weapon in the game. Not only is it melee on lowest HP class, you removed every single breakpoint fast enough to work vs even remotely competent players.

Would be nice if the sticker and charm system got an upgrade. There are a lot of gadgets (i.e. most all thing summoned via tablet) that cannot accept charms or stickers. And there are a number of weapons with placements that make your customizations nearly impossible to see (i.e. stickers on the akm with a scope equipped, charms on certain flamethrower skins, anything on the riot shield.)

Sooo what I suggest is that we be allowed to position the charm bracket as we’d like, and then allow two total stickers to be used at a time and allow them to be repositioned and resized. Then finally allow them on anything that’s missing them currently! This’d allow for more creative customization where you’ll actually see it the most. Plus it’d push folks to buy more stickers and charms, as right now depending on what weapon you use you may not even be able to see them.

You MUST revert sword back to 140 damage. sword was balanced. just remove phantom strike . That damage was completely fair and well‑calculated. Claiming sword was “nerfed for lights” is simply wrong—lights have always been its natural counter. Compared to a 'one‑shot' with lunge + quick‑melee, Cerberus is far more oppressive. So sword must have lunge + QM 'one-shot' light kill, because light is counter to sword, as everyone knows. You keep saying you’re nerfing for lights, but the real beneficiaries are the mediums. Mediums are the most powerful class in The Finals, and sword needs to have its original 140 lunge to at least be competitive against them. also, without at least 140 damage on lunge, it’s never viable against heavies.

Additionally, ranged weapons are strong not only at distance but also in close quarters. Yet melees—which can’t exert any power at range—must naturally be devastating up close. The idiots who have never used melee don’t understand that you have to shut down melees before they get in range, because they lack the intelligence to grasp how difficult it is to approach a ranged weapon firing from the roof.

It’s absurd to call melees skill‑free weapons. melees demand movement precision, positioning and all kinds of mechanical skill—something Cerberus players don’t even need. Yet Embark nerfs melee based solely on the opinions of noobs who have never played melee themselves. Stop ruining the game.

When people complain about a weapon being "op" and "broken" they need to back up their statement with an argument as to why it is unhealthy, and a suggested change. Otherwise we end up with the sword nerfs, which made an otherwise balanced weapon dead in a ditch.
Instead of complaining about it being "op", people should've listed their actual issues.
For example.
"My issue with sword is that dash makes it easier to hit multiple players with one lunge, therefore it does a lot of damage. To combat this, each subsequent hit should do less damage."
or maybe
"Sword lunges combined with a quick melee can oneshot lights, therefore quick melee shouldn't be able to be used until the lunge is entirely complete, therefore making lunges more strategic since you can't cancel them whenever you want."

I genuinely don’t get how Embark can sit there and say they care about melee viability, and then turn around and nerf every single viable melee weapon, except for the actual trash like spear and dual blades.

Season 3 dagger was peak. It felt rewarding, high skill, and actually viable. And now? They gutted it. What’s worse is that even after constant (dagger player) community feedback on how to actually fix dagger, they just go, “lol, buff raw damage đŸ€“.”

Let it skip the two double-slices and instead jump straight to the final attack in the chain (the cross chop), but with a near-instant windup window since the swords are already primed in "cross" position. Give it a little extra lunge to close the distance.

It means less overall DPS since you're starting with the weakest attack in the chain, but it would have a much shorter window of vulnerability between blocking and hitting, in case you need a swift gap-closer to eke out that last burst of damage. You could chain some deflection damage into a cross chop into a quick melee for a burst of (105+deflected) damage, but I don't imagine this increasing optimal kill times against anything with full HP. I feel like it would really tie the weapon together and give it a kind of flow that it currently lacks.

BUFF THE V9S

No one ever plays it anymore because it has seen no improvements while other weapons across all classes have increased in light killing effectiveness. Its a single fire weapon that sucks at range, but hipfire is unreliable, so you end up losing close quarters most times. It can't even kill a medium by surprise if they have good reflexes, unless you literally hit EVERY SINGLE shot. You miss literally once and you're dead. Increase damage and reduce mag size, or reduce recoil. It is in a miserable state.

People say that its good because a full mag does 800 dmg, no, a full mag does 800 dmg only at <10 meters, then damage MAJORLY falls off. It takes 7 SHOTS to kill a LIGHT at 20 meters, whereas XP takes 9 shots, but the XP has a MUCH higher firerate and larger mag size, plus its full auto so you can just hold down and aim, instead of picking and choosing your shots. LH1, another single fire weapon, only takes 4, and thats after the nerf. The only time the V9S outshoots the XP is at <10 meters, but single fire weapons at close range is not reliable. You can easily hipfire the XP and hit far more shots than V9S, solely because you can afford to miss a few times in your spray.

When compared to medium weapons, FCAR, FAMAS, etc we get the same results. TTK data is misleading because it assuming 100% hit shots, so heres # of shots to kill:

Probably not big enough yet. This is (probably) why matchmaking in general is pretty bad with silver players being matches with high gold / low plat. If they had more players they could set up more narrow constraints on matchmaking to make it more fair. I understand it though, and I'd rather be able to play games that are sometimes unfairly skewed than not play at all.

Queue times are already pretty bad unless you hit peak time. After work hours it's not hard to find matches, but like 50% of players are non-steam icons, though I've heard some of them can still be PC-players even though they have the global icon. Taking that away would probably hurt queue times even during peak hours. During the morning and such I've sat sometimes for like 20 minutes during this easter break without finding a match.

Thanks for adding the missing "Prime-Time Ready" animations to guns where they were missing, tho you kinda forgot the Shak-50 rifle, that one has only the standard show.

Also please continue adding virtual extension skins, I'm happy that you expanded the collection, keep adding them, especially the RPG-7 one and FCAR ones are loooong overdue considering that you already basically have a virtual extension skin done for the FCAR, you just need to remove that ugly effect from "L.E. Downshift" skin and you can start selling. Also the RPG-7 virtual skin is like 50% done, you have the rocket and handles so just finish the tube look and there it is. Also a frag grenade virtual extension skin would be nice.

And for the game itself fix the AWFUL respawn locations, what's the point of teamwipes if that team spawns right in my face or straight behind me or after fighting for the box they respawn next to the closest cashout location??? That's BS, also fix the matchmaking, I'm UNRANKED and I play against Rubys and Emeralds 90% of the time! But my teammates are lvl. 8??? These two things are frustrating and make 90% of the matches horrible sweat fests and even doing my best I obviously lose most of the time.

when ADS-ing with deagles, KS slug, and minigun have enormous spread while sliding/jumping. while normal ADS weapons can fire normally.
I had to unlearn sliding and firing or jumping and firing, which i did with FCAR all the time.
why do i have to walk like a tree and not use movement with hipfire aim weapons?
if i use jump pad they become useless for all the time in the air.
while if i jump pad and spray someone with a rifle it just works.

cl40 change made the gun too easy to use, i think the gun should do more direct hit damage (when actally connecting a direct hit) and less easy af splash damage like right now it almost always hits for 100 unless you have potato aim and even then you can get around 80-90 pretty easy. I have a few points that I think need improvement.

  1. The most important issue is matchmaking.‹You’re still building the community, so new players are especially crucial for both us and you to ensure the game thrives for years to come. However, currently, lobbies—regardless of the mode—are extremely sweaty. Newbies will dip into Casual and regularly face players who treat it like their promotion match to Ruby. This is a massive problem because you won’t retain new players this way.
    1.2. Sticking with matchmaking: I understand that with the current number of Ranked players, it’s not entirely possible to perfectly balance lobbies, and sometimes low-Elo players have to face Rubies. It’s obvious that low-Elo players won’t beat Ruby players, and punishing them with a loss in such mismatched games shouldn’t happen. As long as Ranked matchmaking remains this random, penalties should be reduced, and in cases of low-Elo vs. Ruby, they shouldn’t exist at all.
  2. Both console and PC players regularly complain about having to compete against either mouse-and-keyboard (MnK) or aim assist. There should be more crossplay options, such as console-only crossplay or PC-only crossplay (e.g., Steam, Epic, or PC Game Pass).
  3. Weapon sights should also be customizable in reserves.
  4. In Ranked, players should at least be able to see the ranks of their opponents after being eliminated or winning a round. Additionally, there should be a report category for smurfing.
  5. The Dual Blade needs another rework. It doesn’t make sense that it offers better defense than the Medium’s shield. Reduce the protected area to body shots and buff other aspects, like blade range or swing speed.‹The Cerberus is still meta and has been for a while. One reason is its absurd range, which allows for high damage, making it THE shotgun of the game while other shotguns pale in comparison. It’s also not fun when every other opponent uses the Cerberus, as it feels like you’re constantly facing the same enemies. I’ve particularly noticed the Cerberus and CL40 combo. I’m not saying both weapons are overly strong, but they’re being mained by too many players now, and it’s getting annoying.‹Also, the sword nerf was nonsense. I never played it myself, but the sword was perfectly fine as it was. I could counter it without help from teammates using various tools, and using the sword was a high-risk play. The proper use of the sword should be rewarded, but that’s no longer the case because a YouTuber/Streamer raided this feedback group with their community.

Dual blades doesnt need a rework. Yeah, riot shield was always supposed to be the best defense for meds, but the fact that it isn't, is not becuase of dual blades.

The hitbox of the shield is horrible. And really inconsistent. Sometimes the shield blocks bullets shot at one place but doesn't block them when shot at other times.
Plus, it should block meelee, and rpg shot right at the shield. Like, ALL the time. But it doesn't. I can never tell if the rpg coming towards my shield is going to get blocked or not.
And then, sometimes meelee will damage you while ur blocking, which doesn't make much sense.

@dusty river rpg is alright where it is. You can't nerf something just becuase ppl are using it too much. You buff other things and introduce more stuff that are of the same level as that thing.
RPG is the one of the best gadgets on heavy becuase it can do initiating or finishing damage. Not becuase its broken and needs another stupid nerf.

CL40 is a grenade launcher. It makes no sense for a grenade to not do area of splash damage. And there's lob trajectories. You have to think before you shoot. And you're cooked anyway if the person finds a way to get higher ground. You have almost no defense other than going up there to the higher ground yourself, and by that time you might be finished anyways.

XP54 is not fine.
Cerb is NOT easy to use. Kid what are you on about, do you even know what you're saying or are you just trying to get your least favourite class nerfed. The range is literally the only problem right now, and the nerf should be, like, 4-5m range nerf.
LH1 has terrible ttk. Yeah, totally. I'm pretty sure you missed every single shot except one when you tried the gun out. It kills lights in 2-3 hits, and meds in 4 max. So yeah. Don't talk.
Just put mines on the hologram. Breach charge. Fire barrel. Gas barrel. Aim for the freaking head if there's no one around, before the hologram disappears.

The grapple hook keeps pulling u in a wall unless u cancel it but it would be better if u could stick to walls for a few seconds and u can aim and shoot but it's for a limited time to avoid camping,maybe even a wall jump from the wall u grappling to.

With how powerful minigun is the flamethrower to set areas on fire but u have to keep firing at that area for a long time,it's more of a defensive option as u r busy firing areas rather then enemies,also the flame range should increase the more u continuously keep firing plus it takes the whole mag to do that then it's empty so it's balanced,all of this takes time commitment.

Implement matchmaking for World Tour. Its a mode for casuals and you permanently match them against players with >4000 Wins and Ruby Rank. Make the game please a bit more comfortable for the casuals. i'll be uninstalling after playing since CB2 and i wanted to offer my parting words/suggestions:

  • I have found myself winning 2 cashouts, only to lose the game because I didn't get the 3rd. It is incredibly frustrating losing just so another team can have their "unlikely comeback!".
  • All cashouts should have the same prize. You could just increase their hold/plug ratio different as the match goes on.
  • All teams should always spawn at equal distances from their intended vault.
  • Cashouts should periodically give money in incrementing chunks to the team holding them, with the biggest one being at the end. This still facilitates the coveted "last-second steam comeback" potential whilst also respecting the defending team's time and effort.
  • TTK needs to go down slightly. As players become better at the game, tracking an incredibly fast moving target becomes near inaccessible for casual players.
  • World tour is too much of a grind-fest and it is incredibly disappointing and demotivating to spend 20-30 mins just to get 5 points because I finished 4/16. The points awarded for not finishing first need to go up a bit.
  • Ranked is masochistic unless you are in a 3-stack. Proper communication gives a huge advantage that solo players do not have access to. There should be a "solo ranked" mode.
  • The seed mechanic needs to change. The matchmaker should make every effort possible to have all players of equal ranking in the game. There is no reason for ruby players to be playing with golds. That is unfun for the golds and not challenging for the rubies.
  • Please don't release another season with no new map and/or gadgets and try so hard to hype us up for it.
  • When a non-premade player leaves a ranked game, the rest should be excused from point losses. They should also be allowed to leave without being punished.
  • Server issues are ruining the game and have been for the 3 past seasons.
  • World tour should be a testing ground for cool experiments, but it feels neglected.

You MUST revert sword back to 140 damage. sword was balanced. just remove phantom strike . That damage was completely fair and well‑calculated. Claiming sword was “nerfed for lights” is simply wrong—lights have always been its natural counter. Compared to a 'one‑shot' with lunge + quick‑melee, Cerberus is far more oppressive. So sword must have lunge + QM 'one-shot' light kill, because light is counter to sword, as everyone knows. You keep saying you’re nerfing for lights, but the real beneficiaries are the mediums. Mediums are the most powerful class in The Finals, and sword needs to have its original 140 lunge to at least be competitive against them. also, without at least 140 damage on lunge, it’s never viable against heavies.

Additionally, ranged weapons are strong not only at distance but also in close quarters. Yet melees—which can’t exert any power at range—must naturally be devastating up close. The idiots who have never used melee don’t understand that you have to shut down melees before they get in range, because they lack the intelligence to grasp how difficult it is to approach a ranged weapon firing from the roof.

It’s absurd to call melees skill‑free weapons. melees demand movement precision, positioning and all kinds of mechanical skill—something Cerberus players don’t even need. Yet Embark nerfs melee based solely on the opinions of noobs who have never played melee themselves. Stop ruining the game.

Something feels off i have 1.4k hours in this game and since the start of the this season ive never seen so many new low level accounts a very high majority of them are beaming or at least it feels that way now whether this is server/game issues or high level bots put in the game or just an influx of cheaters or high level players using smurf accounts its hard to say whatever the problem is it is sure is off putting for the casual gamer

Remove defibs. They are duel roles as the most meta gadget in the game and the most annoying gadget that adds stupid deaths to your stats (when mentally stunted mediums panick revive you in fire for example). AT LEAST LET US DECLINE A DEFIB. But seriously remove them and give us 1 or 2 additional coins.

Reexamine the balance and identities of the model and cerb. Model feels like shit now, cerb is easy mode.

Persistent gadgets need a major rework (glitch mines & sensors). There has to be downtime after they activate.

Why is mediums usually the best counter to everything including their own class? Glitch mines literally ruin light, are the strongest defib counter, and stops heavy led pushes, all at the same time if need be, because there's no limitations. Both medium melees block bullets and the best counter is a cl40... persistent gadgets are OP right now and the hit box is so tedious to shoot them, but cl40 makes clearing traps easy. Oh is the cl40 guy annoying? Medium has APS for that........ glitch mines counter defibs, and aps counters light's only glitch method to counter medium's mines.

LH1 has been completely absent for a month after the nerf. Most of the Lights are playing with AR weapons, while LH1 was a very unique weapon for the Light class. Embark please consider moving Defib from Medium to Light class in an internal play test, get some embark coders and streamers together and let them play for a couple of days to see how it works out.

I am of the honest belief that this is the only way to prevent oppressive triple defib stacking (which is the core problem with this gadget)

You can tweak Defib all you want but since it restores 50% of your health on revive, Mediums large starting HP of 250 will always make it broken in MMM/MMH constellations

This problem would disappear organically by moving it to Light, because even if a LLL team all run Defib they would only spawn with 75 HP each

This change would naturally push towards a LMH meta, which should be the ideal case

In exchange you "could" move Teleportal from Light to Medium, as a light main i consider it to be borderline broken giving to light class, it's a must pick because paired with lights mobility it's just so strong

  3. I feel like a small amount of bloom would compensate for the fast reload balance-wise, and with a large explosion radius it wouldn't affect the weapon as much

  4. we need some sort of small kickback on the visual side so it sort of disorients the user and opens up a window for counterplay

  5. in that case, lower it to five shots, because light is not the destruction class, heavy is.

I think swapping to reserve mid game in ranked matches should be allowed. It could cost coins to swap if necessary, but I think it would be fine. This would allow for more ways to countersink if you run into a situation that happens to counter your team loadout. Especially in the final rounds.

Players could spawn with an extra coin to compensate. Or leave it as it to see how it would work.

the way ranked worlds currently is awful, im matched with players on my team who are half my rank - 15k (currently 30k), we should have a system in place where you cannot queue with players with like a 5k difference between the rank, and tighten it past 40k - end game screen shows i have double the kd/obj/support than my teammates, 9-1-6 compared to the 1-3-8 15k player is a joke

  1. I would make it much less because lights already die so fast to random explosions that they could end up blowing themselves up more then the enemy.

  2. The issue wasn't the ttk but that there isn't an inherent upside to the gun for using a lower ttk weapon, in my weapons and gadgets post I thought of a way to make it more interesting and perhaps make that loss in ttk more stumicable, which was special grenade types (full expo in post)

  3. If it doesn't effect the weapon, you don't need it, however in my experience with the KS-23 having bullet deviation on a projectile feels terrible, if you want skill expression you want people to go for direct hits, and to do that you can't give the gun a downside that punishes players for leading shots.

  4. Direct hit damage is crucial in making a weapon viable, but you also got to think about what your actually trying to solve with draw backs and buffs, if it doesn't solve anything why have it in? If the sniper had one bullet in the mag and had to reload every single time they took a shot, having a large amount of visual recoil doesn't make a deference and just makes the gun visually cluttered for what it outputs.

  5. I don't know if people would like grenade launchers with low destruction, but if one of the special munitions was the light's destructive grenade flare it could have that destruction property, though I think that gun should be its own thing instead of a special ammo to keep it as a unique gadget, but it's not a terrible change.

Anyway, xp5 way over tuned, tweak it. (Somewhat unbearable atm at casual play)

And lastly, revert AK magazine size, would give some reason to pick it over the others.
Sonars and mdetectors should counter smoke.
Buff HE mines, you nerfed them to the ground, also the prime time killing you, but not enemy, is dumb, so dumb. No-one runs these anymore.

Lastly, will get push back for this, but I think the source of frustration and annoyance playing against Lights, is Dash.
It needs to be looked at.

EDIT: Also the servers are making this game almost unplayable, try fighting Light with 7fps, it's super bad, you have to fix this.

The ks-23 needs 100% accuracy, any other buff is pointless

The ks-23 is the only direct hit projectile weapon that is not afforded the luxury of accuracy which is the main reason its suffering. In concept its great and i love the gun, but anyone who has played it for any significant ammount of time knows that its main point of frustration is its unrelieability. Because of the spread targets beyond 8 meters are a gamble to hit. The feature inplace to make it a skillful weapon is already the projectile, however this is ruined by the spread. You can predict your targets movement, lead your shot correctly but still miss because the game decided your slug goes left.

The only buff the ks needs to be good is accuracy. Buffs like range falloff or firerate wouldnt solve the underlying issue of it being frustrating to use beyond 8 meters, headshots without accuracy are pointless, damage is going to force winch ks back which was not very fun to die to. A bigger projectile would maybe work but decrease the guns skill expression.

Even with 100% accuracy the gun would be far from op due to the small mag and bad ttk. However it would be a lot more fun and a lot less frustrating to use

The grapple hook keeps pulling u in a wall unless u cancel it but it would be better if u could stick to walls for a few seconds and u can aim and shoot but it's for a limited time to avoid camping,maybe even a wall jump from the wall u grappling to.

With how powerful minigun is the flamethrower to set areas on fire but u have to keep firing at that area for a long time,it's more of a defensive option as u r busy firing areas rather then enemies,also the flame range should increase the more u continuously keep firing plus it takes the whole mag to do that then it's empty so it's balanced,all of this takes time commitment.

The 93r time between burst is weird and not fun to use,make it so there isn't a gap or less time gap between burst and u can slightly nerf damage since u r increasing fire rate but the damage fall out is longer so there is a balance since due to recoil u can spam it long/medium range.

Add fanning revolver for light with incendiary bullets but they r projectile but hit hard,u can use fanning action to quickly fire bullet.

Ks23 needs a headshot buff 1.2x,wall penetration and NO bullet deviation.

Breach charge should break smaller holes in walls so lights can minimise exposure that large destructon has right now, because u have 3 charges u can still make bigger holes.It should still stack damage.

Revert Sword Lunge to 140. Removing Lunge+QM combo vs Light when Light kills Light fast with literally anything is nonsensical. Only change needed = Fix phantom strikes.

Sword was balanced.

  • No synergy with Dash = Would be too immobile for Light melee that needs multiple hits
  • No QM synergy = Breakpoints would be too slow for Light melee that needs multiple hits, requires not overshooting lunge to make it harder to aim at you, must stop right beside enemy to QM
  • No full damage multihit = Would be useless if >1 enemy, in melee as lowest HP class but 0 breakpoints hit on anyone except first, pick a gun for ranged non-multihit damage
  • No lingering flicks = Would be too readable for Light melee that needs multiple hits

Sword is the single worst weapon in the game. Not only is it melee on lowest HP class, you removed every single breakpoint fast enough to work vs even remotely competent players.

  • Vs Light: Lunge+QM = Must be 110
  • Vs Medium: Lunge x2 = Must be 125

DB shouldn't get any buffs, true. But the fact that people can just press a button to invis then press two more to eliminate their opponent is no skill. The whole skill in the DB was to close the gap b/w you and your opponent, now players can just use invisibliltiy cloak and make their work ten times easier.

This is coming from someone who only plays light, and not entirely terrible at the game, and has played fps titles for a while: While I understand the need to have melee weapons strong, or they wont be touched, its too much at many points. Especially when it comes to lights, they have so much utility to move, I feel theres little excuse to be so poor with a melee weapon. I strongly believe the knife doing a maximum of 320 damage is far too much. One can just camp in a corner, and almost entirely kill a heavy in one hit, which can change the tide of the entire fight, and even the match. It doesn't make any sense to me, the thought process behind the stats regarding the damage.

You MUST revert sword back to 140 damage. sword was balanced. just remove phantom strike . That damage was completely fair and well‑calculated. Claiming sword was “nerfed for lights” is simply wrong—lights have always been its natural counter. Compared to a 'one‑shot' with lunge + quick‑melee, Cerberus is far more oppressive. So sword must have lunge + QM 'one-shot' light kill, because light is counter to sword, as everyone knows. You keep saying you’re nerfing for lights, but the real beneficiaries are the mediums. Mediums are the most powerful class in The Finals, and sword needs to have its original 140 lunge to at least be competitive against them. also, without at least 140 damage on lunge, it’s never viable against heavies.

Additionally, ranged weapons are strong not only at distance but also in close quarters. Yet melees—which can’t exert any power at range—must naturally be devastating up close. The idiots who have never used melee don’t understand that you have to shut down melees before they get in range, because they lack the intelligence to grasp how difficult it is to approach a ranged weapon firing from the roof.

It’s absurd to call melees skill‑free weapons. melees demand movement precision, positioning and all kinds of mechanical skill—something Cerberus players don’t even need. Yet Embark nerfs melee based solely on the opinions of noobs who have never played melee themselves. Stop ruining the game.

This isn't my original idea, but I saw somebody mention the idea of a spec for light that would let you stand on the ceiling, and I feel like that would really complement light's ambush playstyle, and it would be a very unique tool. This might also be pretty biased on my part because I am a dagger main and I think it would be cool to stand above doorways with vanish bomb and drop on people. It would leave room for creativity (something light really needs) without being really broken or all that strong.

I'm not sure what happened but this latest patch, makes the game run very poorly and I run on lowest settings for max fps. The server side lag is not getting any better. Then the nerfs on top make things really tedious and not fun. This latest season has been buggy and tiresome. Not really sure it's even worth playing until a patch.

I’m half way to diamond but feel free to continue assuming. Played when the game was in the early stages, and came back to it towards the end of last season. Melee should be difficult, and punishing. There should be opportunity, and players, lights in specific, shouldn’t feel the need to sit in corners as much as they do. I’m no professional player by any means, but I’m far from horrid. Melee is no where near as hard as people assume. It’s not enjoyable to get 2 shot consistently meanwhile I have to aim and hit an entire mag to eliminate a player, while still requiring the same positioning skills, as a melee, to win a fight. The difference being, utility choice, and with melees lack of skill regarding actually hitting the player. Just because weapon is in the game, doesn’t necessarily mean it needs to be viable all the time. The sword is still plenty usable, if you take the time to self critique yourself, and hold good positioning skills.

Also, I understand the need for game balancing to make things fair but why do guns with long barrels have less damage and range than pistols? It just doesn't make sense. A long gun should have way more range. Shotguns and pistols irl are about equal range depending on cartridge due to grain of slugs and spread in pellets

Hello! I would still like to be able to stand on walls like Spiderman on light! I put a little thought into how it could work, and I really like the idea of it being on a cooldown like evasive dash. It would be cool if it didn't have a duration, but it ended when you jumped. You would look at a wall or ceiling (not including the floor) within ~3m and press the special button to shift yourself so you are standing on it. This would synergize very well with Sniper, dagger, sword, and some automatic weapons, but might take some getting used to for throwing knives and bow, as their projectiles would still follow the same trajectory as they would if you were standing on the ground. This would be especially fun on fortune stadium, as you could run across the sides of the different regions to get surprising angles on the objective, and on open maps it would have the clear weakness of having nothing to anchor to. It also just wouldn't be that much of a movement tool in fights, rather being a new positioning tool, which are always fun.

DEAR EMBARK if you are interested in addressing frustrating one-shots, please do something about point-blank hipfiring with the sniper. It is especially egregious against people with aim assist, some sniper players rely soley on getting in your face, hipfiring you (sometimes getting a lucky headshot in the process) and quick meleeing you, often resulting in one shots especially for lights

Uninstalling the game cause I'm sick of assault rifle slop and no life smurfs. Add some PVE or stop babying automatics while nerfing everything else into the dirt cause CS:GO exists if I want to use nothing but AK and interact with nothing but racist neckbeards (The amount of name variants of the N word astonish me and the Big Foot skin sales must have made enough to fund an entire new studio by this point).

I love LOVE the dev team and have since pre-battlefield, some with reverence by name, but one of the middle-managers to producers to over-controlling shareholders needs to get a belated waffle house hemispherectomy to fix whatever is wrong with their direction because fun is why people play videogames and the whole "be better than other people" angle the entire game is themed around from top to bottom does not inspire genuine fun.

I wish the character controller and weapons were open-source cause there's a REALLY fun game to be had if I wasn't spending every match getting spawn killed by yellowtide smurf snipers and M11s, then waiting half a minute just to do it again. Power Shift is a good baby step, go further and by a LOT.

Revert Sword Lunge to 140. Removing Lunge+QM combo vs Light when Light kills Light fast with literally anything is nonsensical. Only change needed = Fix phantom strikes.

Sword was balanced.
No synergy with Dash = Would be too immobile for Light melee that needs multiple hits
No QM synergy = Breakpoints would be too slow for Light melee that needs multiple hits, requires not overshooting lunge to make it harder to aim at you, must stop right beside enemy to QM
No full damage multihit = Would be useless if >1 enemy, in melee as lowest HP class but 0 breakpoints hit on anyone except first, pick a gun for ranged non-multihit damage
No lingering flicks = Would be too readable for Light melee that needs multiple hits

Sword is the single worst weapon in the game. Not only is it melee on lowest HP class, you removed every single breakpoint fast enough to work vs even remotely competent players.

Vs Medium: Lunge+QM+Primary = Must be 136

Your own patch notes LITERALLY imply Sword wasn’t unbalanced but got nerfed due to complaints. You separately address Sword as a “gameplay” change to make it less frustrating. Then you separately addressed “balance” changes, saying Cerberus, Pike, and FAMAS are over-performing but you won’t nerf them yet.

Please give ks-23 cancels back. You in dev notes mentioned you want it to be competetive yet in same patch you removed yet another cancel (winch one). Inderect nerfs ironicly made gun weaker than pre buffs. But most importantly it made gun feel BAD. Ks-23 feels clunky and punishing while other heavy options have no issues using melee and winch despite ks-23 being intended close combat weapon. It has no headshots, unreliable accuracy unless you stand still(other shotguns can jump and run no problem). How its more competetive now? Without combos its just throw pick in high ranked and you probably have stats that show it.

An option to switch to the original planned store ui for season 6 would be nice, while the newest one is definitely better for pc users, it's pretty terrible for someone who doesn't have a cursor. So pls add cursor to store menu or give option for alternate store ui for console users. Also, bring back goo flight. And give us prop hunt pls. Ty for such a good season, the game feels like it's headed in a good direction (until I get mag dumped by the xp from 40 meters)

The game is full of cheaters and too many people with N recoils, including the pros. It's okay, either watch your game or this is going to get out of hand. To top it all off, it could be the best shooter, but it isn't because of everything that's happened. The controller recoil... what's going on? It only works horizontally? The grapple hook keeps pulling u in a wall unless u cancel it but it would be better if u could stick to walls for a few seconds and u can aim and shoot but it's for a limited time to avoid camping,maybe even a wall jump from the wall u grappling to.

With how powerful minigun is the flamethrower to set areas on fire but u have to keep firing at that area for a long time,it's more of a defensive option as u r busy firing areas rather then enemies,also the flame range should increase the more u continuously keep firing plus it takes the whole mag to do that then it's empty so it's balanced,all of this takes time commitment.

The 93r time between burst is weird and not fun to use,make it so there isn't a gap or less time gap between burst and u can slightly nerf damage since u r increasing fire rate but the damage fall out is longer so there is a balance since due to recoil u can spam it long/medium range.

Add fanning revolver for light with incendiary bullets but they r projectile but hit hard,u can use fanning action to quickly fire bullet.

Ks23 needs a headshot buff 1.2x,wall penetration and NO bullet deviation.

Breach charge should break smaller holes in walls so lights can minimise exposure that large destructon has right now, because u have 3 charges u can still make bigger holes.It should still stack damage.

Hi, I have a question about the Emerald grind. Ive never had that much time to commit but I play an hour and half whenever possible. I am currently on Gold 3, about to hit Gold 2 but it seems like a endless grind. The points doesn't reward for how many kills I got nor how much money we cashout, did dev said anything about a system change for this matter? Does the ruby grind respects your time more? I saw it in a video where a guy suggested "for every 10k you cashout, you should earn +1 point", that respects someone time and commitment more.

I LOVE getting beamed by a hacker xp-34. I LOVE getting railed by enemies with 5 times the amount of kill that I have. I LOVE when my teammates leaves a match with zero punishment. I LOVE going back to the game after two weeks thinking that something changed for the better. I LOVE when people say kills doesnt matter knowing damn well staring at the respawn screen for 10 seconds renders you completely useless. I LOVE when the gun I love gets nerfed for some bullshit reason. I LOVE the amount of times I managed to conviced myself the game is at a better state in terms of balancing. Returning old battle pass for newer players is not a good idea imo. If people missed out then thats on them. If anything, lowkey, its a very lazy way to just give more cosmetics (including reskins). If everyone gets a chance to get battle passes any chance they get, why bother making battle passes at that point. Also, when they returned the alien skin to the shop, a lot of people were upset about it, what more an entire battle pass

This is because the contract of getting 10 eliminations in a single match is very difficult to do. Sometimes, its nearly impossible. I would like to request the development team to please read this message and acknowledge the feedback about the contract and change it for the future.

Its very upsetting that the model and ks23 are deeply affected by jab cancel. I understand that you want these to weapons to play at a specific range but the lack of jab cancel ends up making them worthless at close range.

Ks23's best specialisation is winch as it enhances what makes the weapon good and makes up for the weapon's weakness. The other specialisations, while are fine picks, do not specifically enhance the weapon in any specific way. Ks23 cannot take advantage of the quick switch to goo gun as it needs to pump, can't take advantage of mesh either well because of pump, charge and slam isn't that amazing of a specialisation and ks23 excels more at pumping out damage in close range without it (not to mention that it can break walls on its own). Ks23 is very much enhanced by winch due to its free one shot with it. However, the removal of jab cancel has really hurt the feel, fun and effectiveness of the weapon at close range and with winch. You can be more disciplined and be more careful with jabs, but it is still just far weaker than other weapons without jab cancel at close range. Not to mention that all of heavy's other weapons can jab as they please and close the gap in health far faster than ks23.

Model is another weapon that's far more enhanced by jab and the lack of jab cancel hurts it deeply. Again, I understand that you would like the weapon to play at a certain range, however, because of the damage nerf to the model, it has made jab combos with the weapon more important than ever. It has made model most effective at jab range and borderline worthless at mid range despite the fire rate buff. Not to mention that it's a shotgun and long range is simply not an option for the model. At close range, it is also simply just outclassed by cerberus, which doesn't need jab cancel.

What's most frustrating is cerberus not being held down by the constraints of jab. It doesn't need jab at all to be effective but isn't affected if it uses jab in-between shots

Nobody wants to play Crossplay On as controller. "Crossplay" with MNK is unbearable to play against while using a controller.

And yet queues for Ranked are extremely long when you leave crossplay off.

I think it would be cool if you reworked knife to block melee with the alt, just gave the primary attack a multiplier for hitting the back. That way dagger, one of the weakest melees in the game, stands a chance against other melees, and loses the backstab, which has very little counterplay. The backstab multiplier on the primary would still reward stealthy plays, while lowering kill time and giving some enemies a chance. It would probably be a net loss for dagger, but it is already very reliant on hitting backstabs, so this would allow daggers to act as a counter to melees for light, which is already at a disadvantage in melee duals due to their lower health.

2/3 teams get weakened and potentially annoyed, in return 1/3 teams gets an advantage and might have more fun with
people will loose more often to it, than gain from it

loosing to a 3rd party doesn't feel good
and to me, winning due to a 3rd party often doesn't feel nearly as rewarding as loosing to it feels bad
like you're just getting back up to neutral after the frustrations of all the cashouts lost to it instead

The grapple hook keeps pulling u in a wall unless u cancel it but it would be better if u could stick to walls for a few seconds and u can aim and shoot but it's for a limited time to avoid camping,maybe even a wall jump from the wall u grappling to.

With how powerful minigun is the flamethrower to set areas on fire but u have to keep firing at that area for a long time,it's more of a defensive option as u r busy firing areas rather then enemies,also the flame range should increase the more u continuously keep firing plus it takes the whole mag to do that then it's empty so it's balanced,all of this takes time commitment.

The 93r time between burst is weird and not fun to use,make it so there isn't a gap or less time gap between burst and u can slightly nerf damage since u r increasing fire rate but the damage fall out is longer so there is a balance since due to recoil u can spam it long/medium range.

Add fanning revolver for light with incendiary bullets but they r projectile but hit hard,u can use fanning action to quickly fire bullet.

Ks23 needs a headshot buff 1.2x,wall penetration and NO bullet deviation.

Breach charge should break smaller holes in walls so lights can minimise exposure that large destructon has right now, because u have 3 charges u can still make bigger holes.It should still stack damage.

do not revert the sword nerf, it took 0 skill and was impossible to counter, the weapon is still viable it just requires players to target solo players and use cover, basically meaning, skill. Before all you had to do was a single combo and you can go 30m and do 250+ damage in less than a second. Sword is balenced right now, players just need time to adjust. Thermal Vision should get the Night Vision treatment. It has no use other than hard countering cloak with 0 feedback or indication rendering it a crutch for the trash lights that can't bother having a normal team fight where lights flank.

(cerberus also absolutely one shots a light, 120 damage and then 31 in afterburn, even if it didnt it still shoots way faster than the double barrel)

-both teams own 3 cashouts spread around their side of the map
-in the middle of the map, a single decryption key spawns
-you need to carry the key to one of the enemies cashouts (simply throwing it into the cashout will work too, like the first iteration of TA, this should de-insentivize camping your cashouts to defend and make people help their team more)
-once you insert the key, the enemies cashout will deplete over 2 minutes, giving the money to your team (this may be done in 1/3rd every 40s, 1/4th every 30s or as very small % every few seconds)
-the enemy now has to stop the decryption (like done in TA) to stop the money flow
-if the cashout is stopped before its empty, the timer will restart at the last full fraction reached the next time its engaged
-if either the cashout is empty, or the decryption has been stopped, there will be a short timer, after which the key respawns in a new location along the middle line
-the team that empties all their enemies cashouts first or has more money at the end of the timer wins
-overtime on tie: getting the key into cashout immediately wins your team the game

The ks-23 needs 100% accuracy, any other buff is pointless

The ks-23 is the only direct hit projectile weapon that is not afforded the luxury of accuracy which is the main reason its suffering. In concept its great and i love the gun, but anyone who has played it for any significant ammount of time knows that its main point of frustration is its unrelieability. Because of the spread targets beyond 8 meters are a gamble to hit. The feature inplace to make it a skillful weapon is already the projectile, however this is ruined by the spread. You can predict your targets movement, lead your shot correctly but still miss because the game decided your slug goes left.

The only buff the ks needs to be good is accuracy. Buffs like range falloff or firerate wouldnt solve the underlying issue of it being frustrating to use beyond 8 meters, headshots without accuracy are pointless, damage is going to force winch ks back which was not very fun to die to. A bigger projectile would maybe work but decrease the guns skill expression.

Even with 100% accuracy the gun would be far from op due to the small mag and bad ttk. However it would be a lot more fun and a lot less frustrating to use

Alrighty I’ve had it, please I am begging you Embark allow us to refuse revives and block defibs from working on players already being revived.

I play support primarily so I totally understand why folks wanna just defib at every possible opportunity. But it’s way too easy right now for a single medium (or god forbid two of them) to make it significantly harder for their team to actually get back in the fight as they keep feeding defenseless half health teammates to the enemies by defibing out in the open or in the middle of a fight before skittering off into a corner to get killed my a cloak player.

Defib is basically the best way to make your team upset atm. Don’t even get me started on it getting used in TDM or people defibing someone you’re already reviving. And it’s not complicated to fix these issues! Allow us to deny revives and lock out defibs on players already being revived.

I want to reiterate I main support medium. The defibs are my bread and butter, I’m well on my way to the cloud skin (well like 3 levels but still that’s a whole lotta revive sickness) and I absolutely understand its correct use. And I am wholeheartedly asking to make it slightly more complicated to use as a means of making everyone on the team happier.

In my team there are 4 teammates who just started playing the game (less than 1 thousand eliminations) and also in the opposite team all guys with at least 10k kills and 2 of them >35k kills are certified medium players one of which is ruby top 500 of season 4. They play exclusively famas xp-54 and revolver (I bet that if there was no famas this person would never be able to reach ruby in LIFE) And as a result no one from our team has a positive KD or any hint of enjoyment from the game.
What's the problem Embark?
Why can't we put strong players equally in each lobby so that we don't have the gameplay of a hydrogen bomb vs. a coughing baby?

Revert Sword Lunge to 140. Removing Lunge+QM combo vs Light when Light kills Light fast with literally anything is nonsensical. Only change needed = Fix phantom strikes.

Sword was balanced.
No synergy with Dash = Would be too immobile for Light melee that needs multiple hits
No QM synergy = Breakpoints would be too slow for Light melee that needs multiple hits, requires not overshooting lunge to make it harder to aim at you, must stop right beside enemy to QM
No full damage multihit = Would be useless if >1 enemy, in melee as lowest HP class but 0 breakpoints hit on anyone except first, pick a gun for ranged non-multihit damage
No lingering flicks = Would be too readable for Light melee that needs multiple hits

Sword is the single worst weapon in the game. Not only is it melee on lowest HP class, you removed every single breakpoint fast enough to work vs even remotely competent players.
Vs Light: Lunge+QM = Must be 110
Vs Medium: Lunge x2 = Must be 125
Vs Medium: Lunge+QM+Primary = Must be 136
Vs Heavy: Lunge x3 = Must be 117
Vs Heavy: (Lunge+QM) x2 = Must be 135
Vs Heavy: (Lunge x2)+Primary = Must be 138

Nice matchmaking you guys got here im low 30,000 rs get matched with an entire lobby that was most likely either in diamond or ruby maybe a very high platnum or 2 and the game even gave me a nice middle finger at the end of the match because of how high everyone else was even placing in 6th would have given us a few points so the game ends and the screen pops says we placed 6th but then i lose over 200rs turns out the game was just lying to me cause after continuing to the end of match screen turns out we actually placed 7th amazing game you got here its a real mystery why this game doesnt have higher player counts

Griefing at the end is insane when my team has 32k and the top team has 36k and the bottom 2 teams have 5k and 2k and yet the 5 or 2k team win cause the top team just wants to double and push out second place every game, feels like you aren't being rewarded for having a good game, plus the 3rd party spawns are insane

this is both a problem of individual hrtf for your sounds being all backwards-facing, and a problem of perceived dynamics and possibly instrument separation per the headphones.
tl:dr the dt990 is likely not a good fit for your physiology and definitely not a good fit for the game engine. the dt990 250r struggles to pick up on quiet sounds. and as much as I hate the hd560s, it does have forwards-angled drivers and mildly better pickup of quiet sounds.
the audio engine does need work, but maybe not in the ways or extents that you mention. their models for hrtf and scaling of sound volumes is quite average.
apex is more frontwards with it's audio, and makes quiet sounds even quieter slightly. but the situations encountered in a match are different audio-wise from the finals

The ks-23 needs 100% accuracy, any other buff is pointless

The ks-23 is the only direct hit projectile weapon that is not afforded the luxury of accuracy which is the main reason its suffering. In concept its great and i love the gun, but anyone who has played it for any significant ammount of time knows that its main point of frustration is its unrelieability. Because of the spread targets beyond 8 meters are a gamble to hit. The feature inplace to make it a skillful weapon is already the projectile, however this is ruined by the spread. You can predict your targets movement, lead your shot correctly but still miss because the game decided your slug goes left.

The only buff the ks needs to be good is accuracy. Buffs like range falloff or firerate wouldnt solve the underlying issue of it being frustrating to use beyond 8 meters, headshots without accuracy are pointless, damage is going to force winch ks back which was not very fun to die to. A bigger projectile would maybe work but decrease the guns skill expression.

Even with 100% accuracy the gun would be far from op due to the small mag and bad ttk. However it would be a lot more fun and a lot less frustrating to use

also can we get a eclipse shade revolver so we have one that doesnt clash so heavily with the dot sight

Also can we get something like a 2x WT 2x Quickplay progression weekend or smth like that? right now theres too much to grind for and its kinda overwhelming

You MUST revert sword back to 140 damage. sword was balanced. just remove phantom strike . That damage was completely fair and well‑calculated. Claiming sword was “nerfed for lights” is simply wrong—lights have always been its natural counter. Compared to a 'one‑shot' with lunge + quick‑melee, Cerberus is far more oppressive. So sword must have lunge + QM 'one-shot' light kill, because light is counter to sword, as everyone knows. You keep saying you’re nerfing for lights, but the real beneficiaries are the mediums. Mediums are the most powerful class in The Finals, and sword needs to have its original 140 lunge to at least be competitive against them. also, without at least 140 damage on lunge, it’s never viable against heavies.

Additionally, ranged weapons are strong not only at distance but also in close quarters. Yet melees—which can’t exert any power at range—must naturally be devastating up close. The idiots who have never used melee don’t understand that you have to shut down melees before they get in range, because they lack the intelligence to grasp how difficult it is to approach a ranged weapon firing from the roof.

It’s absurd to call melees skill‑free weapons. melees demand movement precision, positioning and all kinds of mechanical skill—something Cerberus players don’t even need. Yet Embark nerfs melee based solely on the opinions of noobs who have never played melee themselves. Stop ruining the game.

2- we should be able to buy all of the items on the wheel with the ingame credits we get while we play

its not about being able to hear invis or not

the whole point of double barrel is to get closer to ur opponent. its a high risk high rewards weapon, cuz with low health ur supposed to find a way to go close to the person, but deal huge damage if u do. invis completely removes that skill, even if you hear the person coming towards u from somewhere. no need to nerf invis, but a find a way to get this stupid thing away.

cerberus does two shot kill to lights, considering u shot again exactly afterwards. DB does one shot kill instantly. if its much of a problem, they can nerf the afterburn by making it do the same damage over a longer period of time. so damage wont be given by afterburn too quick. but if ur crying about not nerfing it down to like 70 dmg like most other ppl, then nah thats just gutting it completely.
