Not really tho, more often than not we encounter m&k sweats, and the solution is just goof around and accept defeat, the guys move like crazy and they beam us from 40 meters away, not worth the sweat and we can’t just leave the match since it’s World Tour.

I play on PS5 and my friends were playing on PS4 (30fps btw, they had no chance against PC).

What is the point of the in game friends list if it is never correct or updated? I have 9 friends and 3 are always displayed as online/in menu, yet I check steam and they aren't even in game. Horrid system that you have to give away your email for 👎

I played this mode the whole Season 1, Season 2 I played mostly Powershift since it was fresh, but it got tedious due to various reasons I won't go here, Season 3 I mostly skipped since it sucked, Season 4 mostly Quick Cash, dipped first time into tournaments, in WT, and now...

I got bored of Quick Cash in one week, one damn week... I HATE it. It's not fun, feels pointless, objective is there, but the focus is elsewhere, just go go go go, no time, fight fight fight, pointless... It feels dead inside, no soul to it. Nothing to grab on it, your team mates change, opponents change, wiping means nothing, reviving no time, it's all pointless and random... It literally feels like playing CoD deathmatch, it's awfull...

It's terrible atm, and I agree, I might actually quit for good, if they don't bring this back. I almost did it S3, but I waited if the devs cooked for S4, and they did, it was awesome.
I can play WT for now, but it ain't Quick Cash, all I know my playtime has gone done significantly after they REMOVED Quick Cash, make this new version own mode, please Embark.

Yesterday I played three games, one in QC, hated it went to WT, lost first, played another one won that tournament, was meh, just quit, dailies done...
While in S4 I played QC still for hours while I had everything done for the Season... Just for the fun.

Please get rid of rank calibration every season or fix it for gods sake. I got calibrated straight into 8k this season after being 35k last season. Climbing all the way back to 30k is a pain when you are dealing with teammates that barely understand how the game plays.

This is much worse due to the fact there are multiple teams and you are always gonna have one team in the tournament who is full of people who are way better than their ranked and absolutely smoke all the teams.

Last season I spent more than half of the season climbing to gold to have decent teammates who play together and I can actually have some fun playing ranked.

U the Finals actually has alot of potential... If I were Embark I'd lean more heavily into the gameshow styled aspects of the game. Like for example... Powerups that work similar to the canisters and such but u break em to get a buff like jump boost, damage boost, speed boost, defence boost, and so forth...
I'd also implement more modernised shooter mechanics such as secondary weapons, weapon customisation, and class skills and improvements...

I totally agree, now with all those changes it's almost the same as "Power shift" and it's total chaos, in that mode it's fine but in "Cash out" where what you want is to play a quick normal game with a little seriousness as they left it now it's crazy, people see that they are losing and they all change to light class.

Kyoto sucks as a map in general, traversing the map is pain as water slows you down and its way to open making you an easy target, the map feels way too long range making players who prefer short range combat feel vunerable at all times and the buildings feel repetitive and boring.

Yeah, and I've also been in scenarios when a defib revive allowed me or a team mate to beam/finish off enemy players before the 5s sickness was even over, turning around the whole team fight.

The defib can still be very helpful, but it's not a no brainer anymore. I don't always run it either, because I sometimes favor other gadgets. And all of this is actually a good thing.

There are still many Medium players who fail to adapt, they keep doing the stupid defib nose dives, then leave their team mates out in the open with no heal or covering fire... It doesn't mean the defib is bad or useless. It's bad if poorly used for sure.

Update for Season 5 :

  • Still waiting for a DPS buff for Light class
  • NERF FOR REAL MODEL 1887 ! But in season 5 now.
  • Add an indicator for the frag grenade or at least make them more visual
  • Nerf Deagle damage and range.
  • Nerf Shak damage
  • XP need a damage buff. Same dmg than a M11 but slower RPM and less bullets. JUST USELESS !
  • NERF CHARGE'N'SLAM DAMAGE.
  • If Hook do damage, Stun gun should do. Put damage for both of them or no damage for both of them.
  • Nerf the right clic + Dash on Light. You couldn't dash with your sword or dagger charge. Too strong.
  • Kill, Assist, Revive and Objectives points should add more points in ranked even with you lose T1.
  • There is nothing normal to be kill behind a wall by FLAMETHROWER
  • Spawn are still trash. You can wipe a squad on vault and they will respawn on the Cashout waiting for kill you. But after get wipe, YOU SPAWN AT 100M and MORE !!!!!!
  • Rework defib : Reduce the cooldown reset to 5s and give 100HP instead of 50% of your HP. More fair for Light player. Not a big nerf to M and a bit more to H.
  • Remove the 5s leave. It's useless and boring.

More on the game :

  • BAN CHEATERS AND TOXIC PLAYER. I'm done of getting insult. Report them do nothing. AND PERMA BAN ! NOT 7 DAYS
  • Do something for the poor matchmaking in ranked.
  • Increase the netcode/tickrate/servers ! Maybe it's lag compensation ? GETTING KILL AT 3 METERS FAR FROM A HAMMER OR A SWORD IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. Playing Light as mouvement class but get kill behind cover 80% of the time
  • Let us choose our sight weapons at the beginning of a game
  • Let us go in practice with friends
  • Delete low gravity event. Just the worst event in this game.
  • Some event appear in front of the scoreboard. Fix it please
  • Random skin and charm list for weapons / gadgets
  • Add a TDM mode for warming up. 5v5 in small arena.
  • We shouldn't lost point in ranked when a team mate leave the squad and didn't play during the round
  • Let us invite friends or join them in group even if we are not the group leader.
  • Add the possibility to look at the profil/card of friends
  • Let us leave a game without penality if we are only 2 or 1 in the squad !
  • Some spawn are still at the opposite of the objective.
  • Patch the level up bug on weapons at the end of matches. It's been here since many months now !
  • If your friends invite you while your IG is it possible to do NOT have steam invitation ?

Still playing WT so I can "finish" e1, not because i enjoy WT. Not sure why you can't just earn these participation rewards by playing ranked mode which is almost the exact same game. the casual modes are power shift, terminal attack, quick cash.

I’ve only been playing the finals for like a couple (3) days.

I’ve played a movement fps and a destruction fps before on console, so I kinda get the gist of how things are in the finals.

I keep getting murked by light players constantly in casual gamemodes. To the point where I’m learning gyro aim for the first time just to keep up with them.

I read the arguments about losing to lights being a “skill issue” and “teamwork” issue, and it’s kinda right, ofc they’re gonna wipe the floor against me.

There’s no middle ground though. Rarely do I get matched with contestants who play at a slower pace, regardless of class…

Please revert the Quick Cash spawn changes. It makes the mode RNG, it actually rewards you for dying. Oh you wiped a team? Doesn't matter because you killed one of their team members 15 seconds before. You shouldn't be rewarded for dying, and wiping a team should give you breathing room. It's ridiculous that it hasn't been reverted yet. These changes should be tested in temp game modes or in a beta server, not just released to the public like this, they are awful.

please buff heavy. ITs obvious their charge and slam does too litlle damage and has too litlle range. They should be able to rush around the entire map and do 1 hit kill damage with that. If you're playing Quick Cash, it has become Light class territory, as dying isn't punishing anymore with the new wave respawn system. Lights can just run & gun like headless chicken, and be back instantly no matter how many times you kill them.

You will notice that WT/Ranked Lights play differently. With only 150hp, limited coins and a longer respawn timer, they can't afford to die too often/too far from their team.

Fuck it, season 6, I want a heavy primary that’s a riot shield five-seven combo, and I’m postin this every day till it happens.

25 damage per shot, fire rate similar to the V9S
20 round mag, reload slightly slower than the V9S (reloading with a shield in your hands is hard :c)
hipfire isn’t great isn’t terrible, only really good for people who are way too close.
ADS is laser accurate, but requires you shift your shields position diagonally, revealing your head and more of your legs.
Recoil is similar to the V9S, maybe slightly higher as a balance point.
Riot shield is effectively identical to mediums, maybe shorter to reveal more of heavies legs so it’s not just “better riot shield”
Shield is held up whenever not sprinting. Lowering heavies movement slightly.
Shield is held to side while sprinting, functioning like mediums riot shield when not being held up.

@torpid sky sniper should be 60m tbh but anything further isnt really needed and would only benefit crane campers. sniper isnt dogshit bc of range, but bc of everything else. it even has double the ttk of the bow.

guys the only thing that could save the sniper is huge buffs in: firerate, hipfire accuracy,midair accuracy, reload time, hitscan range(although its really not that important), 3 shotting heavies, and very important: reduce the visual swivel when jumping/dashing/landing…

I understand contracts are meant to change how people play, opening them up to new strategies
but
A: They need to be disabled/replaced/auto completed QUICKLY when they are found to be broken (im looking at you, hit opponents with arena carryables)
B: They shouldn't fight against the structure of the game at the time of implementation (Ranged contracts & Contracts depending on gadget kills push against the game's structure of having weapons be quick TTK in close range, and assisted by gadgets)

(ex LH1 and Pike) Both could be called DMRs but shooting lasers come on i mean getting hit with a 357 from a far is like come on a sniper where its a bigger bullet has travel time? but nothing else does?

Fix the the lag. I was excited for this game from when it was first announced in 2022. I have played since the beginning and I used to play the game perfectly fine but now the lag has made the game unplayable for me and many of my friends. My friends and I have unfortunately since quit the game, and it has been sad to see players steadily drop off. This was one of the last fps games that gave me hope since the falloff of cod and bf, but I can't even play the game anymore the lag is so bad.

yeh they did in the testphase but it didnt get through. it was 2 bodyshots on medium and 3 on heavy. esp the 2 on medium would have made the rifle an instant a tier and mad annoying for casuals. im in for a oneshot head on medium and 3 shot body for heavy though. but if they wont do that, they would need to buff the rest of the stats to a HUUUGE amount. first one is more realistic in my books, but sadly just mine.

The sniper is fun nailing people then having your team (key word here is team gotta play as a team might be hard for ya to understand) finish them off with what dmg you did. Hello, when I do the last Quest from Vaiya on Phase 2 nothing happens. It is the only Quest I am missing. It says throw 15 things at enemys but when i do so they dont get added. Can someone please explain

you literally only have to miss a light 3 times and the light is dead as fck for a medium its like 4 or so while they are just not aiming and shooting kinda in your direction while still barely doing any damage to themselves. look at the rpg its nerfed to hell but you onetap yourself with it, and you also don't wanna stand in the blast of your normal grenade. you call this a low tier weapon and overall it might be but in close combat its a i have no aim so im just gonna jump around and spray grenades weapon.( o and before i say things like this i have actually played the playstyle to see if its what i think it is)

this game needs a rating system, like in cs. That's the only thing that's needed from there. A system where your contribution in the round is evaluated, and not a combination of circumstances with randoms or counter-picks against your teammates. A system that takes points from you for your complete failure, and not a fixed value purely because in the last seconds your money was stolen by a team with a score of 0 2 1
And this is not even mentioning the problem when, to get a conditional thousand points, you have to sit for half an hour and win, and to lose one and a half thousand points, you only need to play for 8 minutes and fly out in the first round.

I'm uninstalling the game.
The casual player experience is at a loss.

If you play Worldtour:
The competition is so high, you face so well coordinated teams. That combined with the fact that your team is so poorly organized, makes the casual player experience difficult to enjoy.

If you play Quickcash
You face hoards of teams that makes test your ability to stay alive. And if you face a skilled player, or god forbid an entire team, the ceiling feels so high that it doesn't allow you to enjoy the game anymore.

I think Embark should take the competitive route (or already has).
And rethink the casual player experience they want to offer.
But as of now, I'm uninstalling the game.

Did the finals scoped sensitivity multiplier decrease? It seems now that scoping in always gives a slow sens (on mouse and keyboard at 100% scoped sensitivity multiplier). I can increase the sensitivity by increasing the base sens to ludicrous speeds, but the base sens is now at ludicrous speeds ( < 20cm/360 ) and I can't aim without scoping in.

I feel like a significant portion of the playerbase would benefit if they showed the theoretical amount of cash the team would get if they keep the Cash Out, and what place this would put them in. So for example, if you current had 25,000, and had a 22k box in, the UI would say:

25,000 + 22,000 = 47,000 (1)

I normally don't have a ton of issues, but clearly many do. Ok that's a lie I do have issues. It's mostly do to looking at the bars, though.

yeah this game is just NOT balanced for ranked games.. I honestly think I just quit this cesspool of a game for good. I made it to ruby solo queue light and it was a fucking nightmare. this season is somehow even worse in terms of balance. embark, nice try at making a game but you CANNOT have a "tank" class be able to delete anything at will with the least amount of effort by far out of the 3 classes.. the skirmish / glass cannon class is honestly completely useless at its role. yes it does a lot of damage, but so does medium and so does heavy. there is no point in picking light when both the other classes do what it does but better.

I get that light is dominating vs drooling casual players but it's near useless in ranked.

Just a quick suggestion that's probably been posted a million times before but a way to reroll circuit contracts for something like 1000 vrs would be a great addition. It would give vrs some more usage and help with the stupid ones like "15 hits with cariables" (still bugged btw?) Or "5 kills at 50m+ with gadgets" (kinda difficult and doesn't encourage good gameplay)

The spawn logic for WT is abysmal. The enemy team spawns on the cash out we are heading towards with the vault. When we have a cash out stolen from we spawn 200m away, but when we successfully defend a cash out they spawn 30-50m away. Why get punished for team wiping them? Why are there also such a low variety of spawns for teams in any mode, leading to near spawn camping from an objective? For what might be the most balanced season weapon-wise, with what's probably my new favorite map and the new club system, I don't think I've wanted to drop WT/Ranked faster.

Hey everyone,

As much as I appreciate the new club system, I do think a couple things could be done to improve the experience for all participants.

  1. Progression system for the club itself.
    (eg in form of "contracts completed in total", a "career" with earnable skins and charms or an all-time leaderboard for club members.)

  2. The request system.
    Every request within the club states "expired", no matter if it was a successful group or not. Being able to see if the squads in your club are successfully grouping up, or maybe even being able to see the results of the last match (eg 1st round, 2nd round, finals, winners), would definitely increase engagement and the club feeling.

  3. Chat
    I understand if in-game chat is hard to do, especially moderation. But done kind of communication in between club members, even if only with premade sentences or emotes, would be very very appreciated. Or maybe make it possible to emote in the lobby?

A small side request:
I've requested an Arena Damage emblem a while ago, and it seemed like something that people (heavies) would appreciate a lot. I still think the game could need one or two more badges 😉

Since I didnt see anything in the change notes, I am assuming this is a bug. The goo gun now does not work against enemies, goo passes right through them rather than sticking them like in previous patches. Essentially the goo gun is acting the same on enemies as it does on friendlies.

Unless this was intentional, but not sure why you would treat an enemy as a friendly with goo gun.

Please look into this.

This was tested in late S4 to remove goo ships from the game, but they instead settled on increasing goo weight and reverted the nerf. Now its back since S5.

Ok, late response I know, anyways while this is all fair and good, it just doesn’t make sense for this game to do that, at least at the moment. The player base while good is still quite small, and this is a F2P game after all, they need to make money some way, and reducing the price is unreasonable, at least at the moment. Keeping the price the way it is is nice and healthy, and people still spend money if they want to. In the future if and hopefully when the player base is bigger, it would be more reasonable to lower the price.

I also just queue up a lot less because I HATE queueing for multiple minutes just to end up on fucking KYOTO and having my game crash. honestly this game is fucking dying cause the devs kinda seem like they dont care

you buffed the sniper in the testphase but it didnt get through. it was 2 bodyshots on medium and 3 on heavy. esp the 2 on medium would have made the rifle an instant a tier and mad annoying for casuals. im in for a oneshot head on medium and 3 shot body for heavy though. but if they wont do that, they would need to buff the rest of the stats to a HUUUGE amount. first one is more realistic in my books, but sadly just mine.

The ranked system is honeslty quite poor. The seeds aren't truly representative of skill and only leads to more smurfing or an unfair rewarding system. It also feels unnecessarily punishing when you lose over 1000 rs after being labelled as SEED number 1 but u have pretty bad teammates. I was really hoping embark would change the system coming into season 5. Next season hopefully but as of now it's super punishing for absolutely no reason. Hence why many players have resorted to world tour.

Sorry if my english is bad, maybe thats kinda not a decision, because that feature that prints your enemy (I think) it needs to be implemented to the akm's rig (something in 3D that lets say is the akm's skeleton) so the holtow fine print rig is not the same as the normal akm rig, they would need to remake or do something of extra work to "transfer" the akm animation to the holtow skin, or modify/remake the holtow skin rig which could take time
im not an expert in 3d or something like that but I think thats something that is not hard to do, specially for experienced people, thats a skin that you are paying for and you are not being warned that it doesn't work with other animations

I would really like it if some of these cosmetic management options were added into the game, they would save a lot of time and effort when making new contestants or transferring things across contestant slots.

I really love equipping the same charm/sticker to everything personally, for instance, Nama Tama stickers and charms, as well as saving custom outfits so I can replicate it on new contestant slots immediately and then make adjustments only if I feel like it afterwards.

An option to mass-equip a charm/sticker, ideas for POSSIBLE options:

  • Every specialization that can equip it for that Contestant
  • Every specialization that can equip it for every Contestant
  • Every weapon that can equip it for that Contestant
  • Every weapon that can equip it for every Contestant
  • Every gadget that can equip it for that Contestant
  • Every gadget that can equip it for every Contestant
  • Everything that can equip it for that Contestant
  • Everything that can equip it for every Contestant

An option to save custom created outfits/expression wheels/equipment cosmetic loadouts so you can easily apply it to other contestants instantly:

  • Saving a custom outfit would save body type, face, hair, eyes, body paint, etc
  • Saving Expression Wheel 1 would save the Emotes/Gestures wheel, maybe also whatever the Intro emote is?
  • Saving Expression Wheel 2 would save the Stickers/Sounds wheel
  • Saving an Equipment Cosmetic Loadout would save the skin, sight (if applicable), sticker, charm, and deploy+tactical reload+full reload+inspect animations (if applicable) for the given specialization, weapon, or gadget so you can instantly equip the full loadout to a new equipment item

Maybe for saving custom outfits, a way to save specific cosmetic types only. Example, upper body, lower body, body paint, headwear, but nothing else. This way, it won’t replace those other non-saved slots too when applied to another contestant. With the earlier example, not overwriting lower back or facewear or such.

Charge n Slam is both inconsistent and overpowered, and needs both bug fixes and nerfs.

Bugs: Sometimes it’ll not deal damage to a player at all even though it looks like it should and just nudges them instead to the side, other times it’ll hit multiple times instantly back to back far faster than it should

Nerfs: It does far too much up front easily accessible damage, resulting in a lot of players that use it as a panic button to great effect, because it is basically an instant 130 damage on demand + another near instant 50 from the slam.

It should be more backloaded, it should not be possible to output a near instant 130/180 on click at ranges that are realistically unavoidable in any close quarters fight, which can easily be forced during cashout ownership fights in buildings or against any close range weapon enemies, which is way too strong and deals way too much upfront AoE damage.

On top of that, unlimited turn rate means dodging is basically pointless when the Charge n Slamming Heavy can turn on a dime to make evades worthless.

Once again chucking out that so much of the design continues to miss the mark on the actual issues with the game while moving it in the wrong direction. Plug meta continues to be terrible for the game in the long run, balance decisions are all over the place while not addressing problematic things (but adjusting other aspects of the class that don't necessarily need nerfed/buffed instead), and I will specifically call out how terrible current glitch trap's design is.

Frankly they could roll back balancing to mid season 2 and I think the game would largely be in a better state. Bare minimum revert the cashout changes from mid season 3.

this game needs a new kind of ability to enhance complexity of game mechanics and make it more interesting for pros.

the abilities are not class exclusive

the idea is not thought through but since all popular shooters have some sort of complex system that enhances the skill ceiling overall, i think this game needs one too if it wants to be as big as them

the new abilities shouldnt be as simple as gear (for example armor/health reg/damage bonus/stealth)
but definitely should kind of rework (or enhance) the game design in a major way.

initial thoughts are something like heroes (like in valorant/rivals/overwatch)
I think if you could really pull this off in a good way, without making it class bound, and without creating too insane builds, this would be the first shooter of its kind that has 2 different „class“ systems that synergize with each other.

this would probably take over a year of developement, but i think if you let the community take part (through surveys etc.) this could be a huge level up for the game.

If we look at the games that are relevant for years (f.ex. LoL)
their features are a very high complexity. (which isnt given rn)

while the active abilities introduce creative things that MOST IMPORTANTLY: should be weaker than specialisations.

-increased sonar duration

It would make no sense to give lights charge & slam, or heavies dash, to give two stupid examples. The different classes have different abilities for a reason. That's what makes Finals fun to play - various different ways to play different classes. When I want to do a lot of damage with my shitty ping and hitreg, I switch to sword light. When I want to support my team, I run medium with the healing beam. If I want to tank hits I run heavy with mesh shield. If every class can use every ability, half the game's identity would be lost. Imagine if heavies could also use turrets. How balanced would that be, exactly?

  2. The improved matchmaking mechanism ensures that all players in the same game are at a similar level, so as to prevent high-level players from killing a large number of low-level players
  3. More quality of life updates to make it more convenient for players to play the game, such as the launch of the map selection function
  4. More new game modes, which can attract more players and make the game more fun
  5. Relatively low skin price, many skins are unreasonably priced and too expensive,
    For example, in China, to buy a DLC with 2400 Multibucks, it costs 144¥, or 144CNY
    This is a test for many people's wallets, and after conversion, 1Multibucks = 0.06CNY
    Most bundles cost between 1000~2400 Multibucks

I'm pleased with all the changes this season, thank you!

However, the matchmaking has been broken since Season 2. I thought you were improving matchmaking for Season 5, but the issue continues.

My matchups make no sense, neither in rank nor in dedication, which is clear when I compare my kills and revives with my teammates. Meanwhile, the other teams have players who should be matched with me, but I'm facing them instead.

I’m speaking as a solo player. When can we expect improvements in matchmaking for solo players? It's frustrating we've been stuck like this since Season 2.

Note 1: I've had teammates say in chat they were playing ranked for "fun," as if it’s quick play. This is a bad joke.

Note 2: I don’t mind waiting longer to find a game if it improves the experience. I’d prefer waiting more than 2 minutes than 10 seconds for a team with zero skill.

Note 3: Don’t use the excuse of not changing matchmaking start/mid/end-season when you make buffs and nerfs to weapons, gadgets, etc. These also affect gameplay during the season. You’ve had enough time to address it

I've heard lots of people talking about being able to select maps before matchmaking, I'm gona be totally honest and say this would be a bad idea. You would be splitting up players more and more making it much harder for people to get into fair matches (Places like oceana which alredy have bad matchmaking times would be hit even worse by this). Also this would make people be a lot more specilized wiht their loadouts, for example if everyone could choose to go to seaol it would most likely be filled with snipers and long range fights, the same is also true the other way round with maps like monaco and bernal becoming filled with agressive cqb plays. This should absolutely stay out of ranked, but a revised version might work alright in quick cash or powershift.

STOP GIVING SHIT CHALLENGES, stuff like get 15 headshots from 30+ meters seems fine so you snipe in power shift, then enemies AND teammates are super toxic for literally no reason, and you have to keep trying to snipe but you have 4 shots in the beginning before the enemies start going right after you instead of the platform to kill the sniper that hasn’t even hit a shot yet then tbagging them, and interrupting steals doesn’t even track half the time, and most of the time people stealing will stop on their own by the time your able to stop them and get that chance of a credit on their own challenge, give us normal stuff instead, I would rather take a 100k dmg with one class or structural dmg ffs

a few suggestions:

1: increase the destruction level on the rocket launcher. it shouldn’t be a free kill, but it’s quite underwhelming as it stands with the low damage, cooldown, and how little it destructs.

2: perhaps a skill issue, but the pistol seems way too strong. 9 times out of 10 i’m getting killed with it instantly

3: decrease the cooldown on jump pad/zipline. of course, they were nerfed for a good reason, but maybe they could be buffed a tiny bit

I would also like to see similar things for people with different types of noise sensitivities if possible. Fuck it, season 6, I want a heavy primary that’s a riot shield five-seven combo, and I’m postin this every day till it happens.

25 damage per shot, fire rate similar to the V9S
20 round mag, reload slightly slower than the V9S (reloading with a shield in your hands is hard :c)
hipfire isn’t great isn’t terrible, only really good for people who are way too close.
ADS is laser accurate, but requires you shift your shields position diagonally, revealing your head and more of your legs.
Recoil is similar to the V9S, maybe slightly higher as a balance point.
Riot shield is effectively identical to mediums, maybe shorter to reveal more of heavies legs so it’s not just “better riot shield”
Shield is held up whenever not sprinting. Lowering heavies movement slightly.
Shield is held to side while sprinting, functioning like mediums riot shield when not being held up.

Players that are cloacked and against a out of bounds background like the sky or out of bouds map area/background are completely invisible when combined with the thermal vision. Even more then just turning it off

Mines are completely invisible. Even the light dosnt show up.

Gas/shields are invisible. Not even a slightly darker grey.

The lock bolts or whatever the new heavy gadget is called dosnt show where the chain is pulling from. Just that you are chained.

Having a TF2-like minigun in The Finals on the heavy class could be fun. The ideas surrounding the balance sounds fair game, though I'm not a balancing expert. I'm sure the devs will know! 😎

However, while I have the chance, I'd like to give you, sir, and everyone else cracking down feedback a piece of advice: please, don't. I do support the initiative to discuss a certain suggestion, but just saying 'silly ahh suggestion', so to speak, is not going to motivate people to create proper, mature feedback. Instead, help them create feedback that could spark discussions as such while keeping things civil and somewhat realistic. You know, ideas could be epic- but in reality not really work out. 🙂
In fact, in this particular case, I think to do that is essentially somewhat hypocrite as you're the one suggesting the same thing daily for the past 150+ days.. so far, no luck, and yet you decide to tag various people 'while you had the chance' to tell them off about their suggestions. It's almost a "Kyoto is fine lmao" ahh moment, you know? I personally disapprove of that kind of behaviour, sir. 👀

So please, let's not stir drama or provoke and instead talk The Finals: the game is awesome as it is, in my opinion, and if the devs and playerbase work in harmony, I dare bet that it'll make this game last longer while it gets better too; so to speak. Thanks. 🙏

honestly the xp gain for winning is too low, im winning 2-0-0 and top of the team and the xp gain is so minimal i play worse to lengthen games for more kills to get more xp, theres no contracts left to do, and the battle pass xp requirements get stupid high near the end

Idea for touché sword skin: instead of having the left hand out like in the default animations the contestant could put it behind their back like in actual fencing. also the right click animation could be a bit more explosive (again like in actual fencing)

I think some cool content that'd make a great addition to the game would be Cold or Icy Cryo Gadgets, Canisters and a Specialization as a softer crowd control with mild damage, being far less tedious to deal with than current crowd contol (stun guns, glitch, goo gun stun locks, winch claws and charge) by making the Icy Cryo effects only slow contestants by 20% - 25% for 5 seconds but usually coming with some mild damage as well, offering less crowd control than current forms of it but that touch of damage to make them just as valuable.

Some Examples-

Cryo Launcher for Heavy firing an 'explosive projectile' that deals 60 damage and applies the slowing Cryo effect.

Cryo Grenades for Light, working similarly to frag grenades but again- only 60 damage at the center of the blast but applying the Cryo effect.

Cryo Mines for Medium, Similar to Explosive mines but 60 damage and the slowing Cryo effects to those in it's area of effect.

For a Specialization I could see a Cryo-Beam gun on Medium that slows it's victims and deals 60 damage with 3 shots recharging one every 15 seconds.

Then finally, Cryo Canisters, dealing 60 damage + 50 thrown damage being something akin to a red canister but with less damage and no destruction but that slowing effect like everything else in this proposal.

With a themed Content drop for this it'd certainly ease up the work load too allowing the Embark coders to do more with less.

Recon sense shouldn't have been removed either... I have to disagree @gritty owl. In a game that focuses on objective, & tells you where the vault, or cash out is going to be The Finals provides plenty of items that can counter the specialization.

Dome, barricade, mesh, goo grenades all can stop anything a Medium could throw at contestants
Mines could lock down a area & slow down Recon, & if you have decent awareness, or tracking flash bangs, glitch grenades, & frags could completely counter the ability.
Wench, C&S, GooGun, Guardian turret all specialize in CqC even evasive dash, & grappling hook can help out maneuver the specialization.
All you need to do is use the objective as bait, & stay coordinated with your team.
You don't need wall hacks to see the enemy coming.
There's typically only 3 or 4 directions a enemy can push you through, & luckily you have 3 to a team all that's needed is a call-out.

Cloaking device is equally OP in the sense that it's advantage is one of perception "I can see you, before you can see me" in any FPS mobility is a HUGE advantage, primarily thanks to flanking ability, & rewarding player with a surprise attack, or basically getting the first shots in a gun fight.
Recon sense & Cloak are equally advantages in the finals.
However light is Embarks Nepo baby so they removed one despite both giving players the same advantage in a gunfight.
Since Light are the most sensitive, & entitled players I'm sure they complained the most, & loudest especially since it's the class that typically pushes alone on a random flank, & the ability is a hard counter to anyone on a solo push trying to solo carry on a squad wipe, & pop off

The only time Recon sense was broken was in the hands of aim bot hackers.

P.S.
Last time I checked wall hacks isn't something a console player can do.
PC players being allowed to have advance hacks they have to pay for, while console players could get it free one probably rubbed some the wrong way, much like defense and support leved the playing field against hackers with 80 - 100% perfect aim.
A theory of course, but playing with so many randoms, & one well know hacker, you see a pattern. Having near perfect aim causes people to only focus on offense, & completely ignore all other utilities, so of course even high Elo hackers complained about support and defense, because even they can't see it's point. All they're concerned with is DPS & Squad Wipes.
Mesh, dome, Defib, & Heal Beam only slowed them down or punished/leveled the playing field against sloppy players, just like Recon sense, but none we're ever Over Powered in the Team based game we know as The Finals. Not since S1 I.M.O

you buffed the sniper in the testphase but it didnt get through. it was 2 bodyshots on medium and 3 on heavy. esp the 2 on medium would have made the rifle an instant a tier and mad annoying for casuals. im in for a oneshot head on medium and 3 shot body for heavy though. but if they wont do that, they would need to buff the rest of the stats to a HUUUGE amount. first one is more realistic in my books, but sadly just mine.

sniper should be 60m tbh but anything further isnt really needed and would only benefit crane campers. sniper isnt dogshit bc of range, but bc of everything else. it even has double the ttk of the bow.

guys the only thing that could save the sniper is huge buffs in: firerate, hipfire accuracy,midair accuracy, reload time, hitscan range(although its really not that important), 3 shotting heavies, and very important: reduce the visual swivel when jumping/dashing/landing…

i beg you embark pls just buff the worst weapon for light rn asap.

also enhance the vertical usability of the dash, it doesnt make sense that you cant dash down an edge but rather have to dash away from it so the enemy literally has enough time to kill you bc you are mid air for wayyy to long. this shit is just unfair and dash is worse than cloak anyways

As we can all see, THE FINALS' community is deeply passionate when it comes to concept art and making drip. Earlier this year we saw the switch away from exclusive bundle pricing to individual items now being made available for purchase. This alone allowed a great amount of customisation and personalisation of the game. But @shy token is back this time to argue the case for community driven input.

By allowing the community to create fan-made concepts and outfits using available items, TF has allowed its community to creatively flourish. However, we think, and there are others who have considered this idea as well within the community, that new community made items should be given the chance to be official and in-game.

This would not be the first time that such a thing exists in the world of gaming. Warframe's 'TennoGen' is one of the best examples of having the community be involved in the creative process. This engagement's potential is virtually limitless and invaluable for the game's longevity and community. It can be further sustained by giving the creator(s) a chance to be awarded through a variety of ways, in combination or merely by themselves:
(a) recognition,
(b) in-game or IRL payment,
(c) but most importantly a free (perhaps personalised) version of the very same item that will be immortalised in the world of TF.

They should at least require you to hit both on all classes. 156 one tapping you out of cloak isn’t fun or engaging it’s low skill garbage. Same thing with stun, I understand it’s meant to stop cashout steals but why pin me to the ground and make me an easy target? Just stop my ability to interact with stuff like the cashbox, not pin you down and make you a free kill. Also cloak is still a no skill issue that isn’t good in high elo but destroys the casual enjoyment of the game.

So many things that are left that kill your session and make people want to leave the game. Let me remind you, the finals is not the only option out there, people can go play games that feel good, or they can play yours, why would they choose this game when there is so many things wrong with the balancing? I love the mechanics in this game but it’s definitely something I can live without. Get your act together

you buffed the sniper in the testphase but it didnt get through. it was 2 bodyshots on medium and 3 on heavy. esp the 2 on medium would have made the rifle an instant a tier and mad annoying for casuals. im in for a oneshot head on medium and 3 shot body for heavy though. but if they wont do that, they would need to buff the rest of the stats to a HUUUGE amount. first one is more realistic in my books, but sadly just mine.

sniper should be 60m tbh but anything further isnt really needed and would only benefit crane campers. sniper isnt dogshit bc of range, but bc of everything else. it even has double the ttk of the bow.

guys the only thing that could save the sniper is huge buffs in: firerate, hipfire accuracy,midair accuracy, reload time, hitscan range(although its really not that important), 3 shotting heavies, (maybe oneshotting mediums), and very important: reduce the visual swivel when jumping/dashing/landing…

i beg you embark pls just buff the worst weapon for light rn asap.

also enhance the vertical usability of the dash, it doesnt make sense that you cant dash down an edge but rather have to dash away from it so the enemy literally has enough time to kill you bc you are mid air for wayyy to long. this shit is just unfair and dash is worse than cloak anyways

1v3s are not fun. Idk how the quick cash matchmaking works but it is not fun for anyone on the team when 2 players on their first match barely manage to hit a shot while I'm expected to somehow steal with the new constant wave spawns. A K/D over 5 almost every match yet I am unable to have any fun. This matchmaking will just cause new players to rage quit and makes me not want to play unless I have friends on. This is bad for the player base as well as the games itself. I would rather a lobby of people on similar skill levels.

Really hoping we can fix the CL40 as right now it's highs are too far and few between with way too much that just doesn't feel great. Right now the gun is so close to great but just has two very specific and debilitating issues.

The blast radius is far too punishing in terms of damage drop off to the point that you're basically required to hit nothing but directs if you want to compete TTK-wise, (and trust me, when it comes to lights that's not happening unless you're barrel stuffing them)
The 1.6x self damage is far far too punishing given the number of objects the grenade can get caught on or the way classes can rush you at the drop of a hat, I understand that 0.75x was far too little but it really feels like it should just be 1 to 1, the damage you inflict on yourself should be the same as you can inflict on others.

What do you think are the main points?
In my opinion its the punishing reward system. People get stuck in gold because they are punished hard by losing a game that takes more wins to balance out. Season 2 was goated and it felt like as you climbed the ranks the enemy got harder. Now you can have a scenario where you are diamond -> play against golds -> win +150 rs by winning the tournament, 2nd place +23 rs, lose -1500 by placing 8th

So the symptoms are:
-all diamonds are rubies (very few diamonds)
-varying skill level at gold
-no lower class (bronze/low silver)

Fixes:
-lower the penalty from losing

I dont have the data how this would work out but as a data analyst i would say this should be given a shot

In my opinion why there are almost no diamonds, isnt because many people arent good enough, its because its very very hard to get there and those who get there are vastly superior than others creating a huge gap.I was diamond in season 2 and placed around 8.5k in the leaderboards. This season i started from 4.5k from placements and i was gold 2 (currently at around 6k from top), something doesnt add up and i think this is atleast one of the main components

I believe we need a feature that allows gamers to add a tag or a small note to each friend on their friend list, as the names can sometimes be confusing. Also additional features such as... which map my friend is playing now... how long his match has passed... when he was online... etc

im gonna be honest i feel like even though the game technically is VERY balanced on a high level of play and through the numbers, i really think stuff should be weakened based on how annoying of a playstyle it is to play against. sure dash is technically weak right now cause its risky for lights but its so annoying to play against that i genuinely think it would be helpful for the health of the game to nerf it. same with sword, sledge, winch(FUCK winch), cloak, riot shield, all that stuff (honestly its mostly lights, but meds and heavies also have annoying shit for sure). sure its balanced but legitimately i TRULY believe skilled players should lose against technically less-skilled counterparts specifically for playing annoying playstyles. there needs to be an annoyance tax that comes with this gear. annoying gear is what made all of my friends quit (and has nearly driven me to quit multiple times), so i believe the long term health of the game will benefit greatly from newer players not having to experience the absolute worst experiences the game has to offer when trying out quick cash and world tour. i will admit this would also make it more frustrating to lose against a player so skilled that i couldnt beat them using the bad annoying gear but thats also a flex on their part, and it would be fewer and far between.

also, i think the c4 nerfs have just made destruction a somewhat rare thing now. yeah i still see walls blowing up but buildings collapsing feels like a rarity and thats what really got me to start playing, and continually stick through. i think there needs to be more gear that can destroy alot without hurting players to a bothersome degree like rpg. really anything that improves destruction i would like to see, it breathes life into each match in a way no other game can do. hope yall take this stuff into consideration.

  • Let us choose our sight weapons at the beginning of a game
  • Let us go in practice with friends PLEASE
  • Delete low gravity event
  • Fix events appear in front of the scoreboard
  • Random skin and charm list for weapons/gadgets
  • Add a TDM mode 5v5 in small arena
  • We shouldn't lost point in ranked when a team mate leave the squad and didn't play during the round
  • Let us invite friends or join them in group even if we are not the group leader
  • Add the possibility to look at the profil/card of friends
  • Some spawn are still at the opposite of the objective
  • Patch the level up bug on weapons at the end of matches. It's been here since many months now

  • Rework defib : Reduce the cooldown reset to 5s and give 100HP instead of 50% of your HP. More fair for Light player. Not a big nerf to M and a bit more to H.

Anything non-constructive will be ignored - the matchmaking is honestly the worst I've seen in any game, pub and ranked lobbies. I'm constantly trying to introduce friends to pub lobbies to literally get stomped by 3 teams of Emeralds, It's been like this since day 1 and no wonder your player base isn't improving. It's absolutely full of hackers too at the higher levels. Aim bots. xims and zens everywhere. You listen to your die hard sweat cheating fans in the game instead of the casuals and it's ruining the game.

Hey you are absolutely right! I also love seeing how people cry in this channel over small or not so small things but continuing to play the game. But some advice here would genuinely help the game, it's not hard for a rational human in the community management or whoever is in charge of this mess to pinpoint and separate crying losers from true wisdom spreaders. The essence has been said many times especially around season starts and major updates, so it makes sense now it's mostly the crying that we see. Most people quit the game entirely and me included, following your advice. But even those that cry eventually will contribute to the playercount bleed too and that's how you get a dead, hollow game. I am not evil and do not want this for any game, but if they refuse to appease to anything else other than cosmetic lovers, wallet dumpers (a very unreliable audience which can and already WAS swept away on a whim), and people who love colors & random action on their screens... then it's gonna happen

Right now I would say model is objectively better than cerberus and it needs a buff. Perhaps the closer you are and the more consecutive shots you land do more and more afterburn damage, basically one lucky shot at like 15m will only do like 15 burn damage but 3 shots at close range will do like an extra 100 damage overtime

Take a game like apex legends. The cheats being sold create a million dollar industry- and why in the world would they bother perma banning people that spend money on the battlepass, skins, etc? It’s obvious, give them a slap on the wrist and pretend you took serious action so the player comes back to spend more eventually.

Same goes with all games, this is no different. Besides the cheaters will ALWAYS go one step forward if it means creating new ways to bypass anticheat or go undetected. It’s a never ending cycle, unless it’s made criminal by certain countries, even then you would have the asia pacific region a hotbed for cheats still because their countries have mediocre if not non existent digital space laws.

Besides who would invest the money? These companies are still making money from those honest AND cheating players, they don’t care.

In regards to healing gadgets and specializations, I have a proposal and suggestion- To keep these in order add a "Combat Status" to contestants, a little white shield or medical symbol next to our health bars that turns red if we take damage then turns yellow after 1.5s then back to white after another 1.5s, with this mechanic we can keep the current 40 HP/s when Combat Status is "Red" But increase it to 50 HP/s when it's yellow and 60 HP/s when it's white, allowing it to amplify recovery of a team without allowing contestants to face tank bullets during combat because there's a heal beam on them. similar interactions with future healing gadgets, specializations and dare I say carriables will help keep them in check by preventing them from being used to face-tank damage but still make them useful recovery tools.

The final round is still the worst part of the game. The old problem with spawns being too far away has been replaced by them being far too close. You can wipe at the vault opening, then get to the intended Cash Out before the enemy and steal the box.

Kills and deaths hardly matter, and the time it takes to coin mean that it's often better to wipe when it's 1vX so long as there's enough time, and the spawns mean you can have two - sometimes 3 chances. This also means coins are rarely ever a major factor.

I'd suggest making the initial time to coin lower, like 10-15 seconds. Each death could increase the time to coin by a second or two, then every other kill lowers it by one second (back to the original time). Maybe have kills that happen while at the minimum coin time act as a buffer for it going up. So, if you were 4-0 and then die, coin time won't increase.

This makes kills, deaths, and coins matter way more.

Also, I feel like spawning 125m away from obj would be the sweet spot.

I would love to see clubs expanded on more. Ik there’s more in the works but I would love to be able to

  • compete against other clubs
  • get some sort of reward (small or not, even something like xp or a player card badge) for leveling up your personal club rank
  • add club-wide rank where everyone’s completed quests contributes to the next level, where you can unlock the ability to buy more club customization with VRs
  • as said above, allow for more club customization options in general to be purchased with VRs for another use of those
  • allow for joining multiple clubs (ik this is planned but just putting it here)
  • more stuff for the club to collectively work on, like a big weekly quest each week which if completed gives everyone a big xp gain and progression to the proposed club level

Maybe something similar to what OW has where there’s endorsement levels but you actually receive benefits with each endorsement level you have.

Maybe something like a small XP boost for the first endorsement level all the way up to getting a slight discount in the item shop if you max out the endorsement levels.

I feel like it should give you 50-100 XP for each person you endorse and if you endorse somebody on the enemy team (if your team is that bad) it counts as two endorsements for said enemy player

The way you lose levels is by rage quitting, being reported (and found guilty) of non permeable behavior, etc…

I’d love this change to the game. I feel like it would dial back the toxicity in this community and encourages positive or constructive teamwork instead of immediate trash talk.

so to be clear i really love the finals. its a great concept and when it came out it was a amazing game (aim assist was a bit to much but that got fixed) but somewhere between the end of season2 to and the start of season 3 it al started to spoil . its part how the game is balanced and part just the playerbase all picking the best known metas and abusing it.
i hate the 3x healbeam+defib teams. the model(well should i even start about it?)
the matchmaking is a nightmare. it happened so much that i dont even know how many times i had to fight against ruby/emerald and then being teamed up with some bronze and unranked players,and im a season4 platimun wt and gold ranked (havent played much ranked tho so many cheaters and healbeam/defib combos)
the game crashes everytime i get out of a match and kicks me out of the party im in so my friends have to invite me after every round
t-bagging is so anoying and actually pretty insulting (there should be a option to report it)
and the amount of cheaters in this game is HUGE! im talking wallhack aimbot and whatever is out there and chronus and xim and that sort devices on console. i have found cheaters on my team at times as well and since i can spectate them i cam be 100%sure they are cheating(maybe add a killcam?)

Embark if you allow this you are able to make money off of old cosmetics while also being more supportive to new players that missed out. This is a net positive for you and the players. Since I know some players would want to know they are "OG" I say give everyone a shirt that says "I survived Season [X] and all I got was this shirt" for every season they played.

If you check the comments most fans are in favor of this and would be really beneficial to new player of the game.

I really like the finals and would like to continue playing. However, I find ranked games so frustrating. It is so easy to lose a lot of points. Even arriving 4 can lead sometimes to lose points and it is basically super difficult to rank up even in bronze/silver. It appears that to arrive to gold which is only the third rank level it requires to be a "professional esport player" or cheater. it's ridiculus! I am losing the interest of playing it

It’s the exact opposite of every single thing you said.

  1. The game is balanced on all but very high levels of play.
  2. Weakening things based on how annoying it is for some people is the worst possible approach. Fun/annoying/etc are all subjective, and literally anything will always be unfun to someone. If something being unfun for someone is enough to warrant a change with no other reasons (overpowered, underpowered, etc), then by that logic, every single thing needs a change every single moment constantly because no matter what, it’ll always be unfun to someone. This is the entire reason games have different things fun to different players in the same game. It will not always be fun for you or them or others. That is intentional, you and them are supposed to get over it, same way others are supposed to get over finding things you find fun unfun to them.
  3. More skilled players losing against less skilled players is the exact opposite of what a game should be designed to be. At that point, why even bother becoming good if it literally doesn’t matter, let alone if it’s purely for a reason as fickle and subjectively limited to because some people think its annoying and doesn’t deserve to win, as if their opinion is more valid than others finding what those first people find fun annoying and thus not deserving to win/needing nerfs or reworks by that logic?
  4. It driving your friends/you to quit is not a reason when it’s certainly the reason others picked up this game or stick with this game. It will not always be fun for you, or them, or anyone else. It’s not supposed to be, because every single player is supposed to have things fun for themselves even if not for others. That is the point. Not every game will be a perfect fit for you or your friends or any other person.
  5. C4 is still fine, just not OP anymore.
  6. RPG has high self damage because it’s instant on demand damage and destruction and too strong if you can use it point blank without consequences.

-Goo no longer pushes unthetered objects if a player is inside it.
-Mega nerf to the goo gun, as can no longer slowly move cashouts by shooting goo at your feet. you can still move it, but its ways slower (its was slow to start with...), very unreliable and leaves a goo mess everywhere. Not viable.
-Can no longer push debris by hugging it and shooting goo at it, which was very useful.

This was tested in late S4 to remove goo ships from the game, but they instead settled on increasing goo weight and reverted the nerf. Now its back since S5.

I bought every season pass and several bundles the past year, but not this time. You promised major balancing and meta shift, yet the DPS between LMH is so close, but the Healthbar obviously isn't which is a joke. Movement and a small hitbox is no compensation. You have to work twice as much as Light to kill a heavy even when he's dumbshit. Charge & Slam and Winch Claw - who of embarks employes can't aim to rely on those shit mechanics?

  2. That honestly is just not really true. Like most things are subjective sure but there are objectively unfun and annoying things. Snukes, s1 taser, s2 sword cancelling, winch claw, s1 recon/cl combo on medium, s4 cl buff, i can go on for days. And there are objectively non annoying things: jump pads, frags (even though theyre objectively stupid OP lol) the suite of smgs/ars/lmgs, the barrels, etc. being non annoying doesnt mean it has to be like super fun, being non annoying means that when you die to it and get outplayed you pretty much understand immediately why that happened and dont really have an excuse to make excuses about their or your gear.

Even fighting games, some of the most tightly balanced competitive games ever, will purposefully keep annoying playstyles weaker for the health of the game/playerbase, it is not as crazy as an idea as you think lol. Obviously game designers cant please everybody so you acting like that should be their goal is incredible.

And this all has to do with the experience that those games are targeting. The finals isnt really targeting anything right now they are still in a please everyone phase, and the experience it leads to is garbage. The finals provides garbage experiences for everyone, at a rate much higher than most other games that have an identity for their playstyle. World tour and quick cash are especially garbage and we have new players coming in and garbage is all they experience. Thats pretty bad for the longevity of any videogame.

  1. I mean ive pretty much already addressed this. The best games have a way that they are meant to be played, and playing a game the opposite of the way its meant to be played is punished. Simple. I think the finals should find an identity within its playstyle and reduce shit thats annoying to that playstyle. Im not even saying what players they should cater to here, they could choose to prioritize shit that i HATE tomorrow and i would still be happier cause that means i can leave the game forever and not look back, because i would know the game is not made for me. Comp/Ruby players can explain this one better than I can, but tldr, Light has been the worst class for comp cashout basically for as long as this game has been out, even Embark themselves have explicitly stated Light was statistically the worst class for competitive cashout modes, and in Ruby-player skill level or its equivalent, Light has been the worst every single season save for specific patches where specific weapons they had were temporarily OP.
  2. Objectively unfun/annoying is an oxymoron. Fun and annoying are inherently subjective terms, there is no such thing as objectively unfun/annoying. The Finals isn’t a fighting game, and it shouldn’t operate how other games operate. The Finals literally was designed to be radically unique compared to existing games on purpose, like its all-encompassing destruction and huge amount of creativity in how to play. I never said pleasing everyone should be their goal, I literally said that’s futile to even bother, read what I said. I don’t think they’re trying to please everyone, The Finals still has a lot of unique aspects no other FPS games have. If you want to claim something as massive as “everyone is having terrible experiences/new players are only experiencing negative experiences”, please submit evidence to back up those claims.

Season 2 ranked system was bad. It was practically free to get into diamond. There was almost no way to lose points until you got to the very top.

Realistically this game does not have the player count for ranked tournaments to have well balanced matches in knockout rounds. There simply aren’t enough diamond players queueing at once to be matched together and fill a tournament. This current system is the best workaround for that.

I do wish embark would try a 3v3 or 5v5 final round ranked mode

CHANGES TO CHARGE N SLAM:

  • keep the damage for slam (aka falling from height)
  • reduce the charge damage (aka running at people) by 50%, it’s currently 130 make it 65
  • BUFF the knockback distance. When people currently get hit by charge n slam it moves them a few feet, make it knock you back 5+ meters. That way it’s used to break up teams. With the 50% damage reduction and knockback buff it’s hard to get multiple hits on someone unless you’re indoors and the walls are not destroyed. This prevents being killed by Charge n Slam, but is a great opener to separate people (especially for medium healers)

Overall these changes make the charge n slam useful, feel more thematic with the dramatic knockback which sends people flying, but removes it from being the best melee weapon in the game. As it stands, with the high damage and low knockback you have all the benefits of a sledgehammer but also have a gun to shoot after. With these changes Charge n Slam is still useful without being gutted.

Fuck it, season 6, I want a heavy primary that’s a riot shield five-seven combo, and I’m postin this every day till it happens.

25 damage per shot, fire rate similar to the V9S
20 round mag, reload slightly slower than the V9S (reloading with a shield in your hands is hard :c)
hipfire isn’t great isn’t terrible, only really good for people who are way too close.
ADS is laser accurate, but requires you shift your shields position diagonally, revealing your head and more of your legs.
Recoil is similar to the V9S, maybe slightly higher as a balance point.
Riot shield is effectively identical to mediums, maybe shorter to reveal more of heavies legs so it’s not just “better riot shield”
Shield is held up whenever not sprinting. Lowering heavies movement slightly.
Shield is held to side while sprinting, functioning like mediums riot shield when not being held up.

Charge n slam shouldn’t be better than every melee weapon in the game while also giving you a gun. Height damage should stay the same. As it is, you can get team wipes off of a single CnS attack because 130 damage with minimal knockback means you can easily chain hits together to deal 390 damage, all of which damage multiple people near you. 390 AOE damage off of a single button press is insane and completely broken.

Only nerfing damage would gut it. Adding extra knockback is actually a buff. Separating team mates and disorienting them means it’s easy to kill them, just you need to kill them with a gun. It also makes it even better for cashout denial.

If you think charge and slam is balanced as it currently is then you have no room making balance ideas tbh. The rest of heavy needs some buffs but CnS is single handedly the best spec in the game.

  • 20 rounds per second, eleven damage a round, 220 DPS. No headshot modifier to keep DPS from becoming insane.
  • Falloff begins at 30 meters down to six damage a shot at 50, but wide spread means the weapon becomes less effective past 10 meters even against larger targets, you’re probably not getting higher than 150 DPS even as far as 10 meters.
  • bullets do high damage to structures (should be breaking walls in 20-50 shots) allowing a mid-range option to output mass destruction (destroying entire walls on higher floors of buildings, ripping apart nesting sightlines)
    • significant damage to structures and players
    • gun can be pre-spooled with RMB over having an ADS (for obvious reasons, you try to aim down the sights of a water cooler)|
    • high suppressive force through sheer amount of bullets being fired
    • its a goddamn minigun
  • - Heavy cannot jump or sprint while holding it, has to switch back to primary
  • - lengthy equip-unequip time to balance such, no “pocket minigun” strats, choosing to use this mid-combat is a commitment, one that could get you killed.

Even every single person in this Discord combined wouldn't even be half of the average monthly players, let alone the percent of this Discord that even posts in this specific channel. A loud minority is not indicative of the whole, and listening to a loud minority is a horrible idea.

Nerfing something that isn't OP/buffing something that isn't OP just because of subjective arbitrary complaints is horrible. Light is literally that, it's been nerfed every single season because of subjective emotional complaints like "it's annoying" or "it's unfun" despite being the worst class every season aside from a few patches where specific weapons were temporarily OP.

People throw a fit literally any time Embark nerfs Medium or Heavy despite those classes having literally never not been meta/good. Even in S4 with triple Medium, Heavy was still strong, but a teamcomp that took more skill than MMM, which is why it only showed up in upper elo. Medium and Heavy have been good every season, and they spent the first few being OP, but when Embark tries to balance them, people throw a fit saying "gutted" or "unfun" despite them being strong even after every nerf.

If a complaint is solely subjective emotional complaints like "it's annoying" or "it's unfun" and not the state of balance, it should be ignored. It is by-design there are different things for different peoples' different ways of fun. They will not always be fun for others. That is not only literally impossible, it not being fun for the others is irrelevant.

Otherwise, we'd need to change every single thing and because no matter what something is changed to it will always be unfun to some, the moment something gets changed, it would immediately need to be changed again. And again. And again. And again. And again. Forever.

This is why balancing around an impossible, arbitrary subjective standard that people will literally always disagree on is literally always a god-awful decision

If you can’t chain hits but your enemies get thrown 25+ feet it’s sort of irrelevant if you can’t chain hits, because they’re so far that your team (if coordinated) will kill them before they can do anything.

Make attacking from above the only way to do more than 100 damage.

Make charging someone absolutely throw them far. Makes cashout defense much easier, makes isolating someone to get a quick kill easier. You wouldn’t use charge and slam to start a fight, you use it to end one. Now there’s a dead person’s statue halfway down a street and the enemy team can’t quick res.

Either way it needs to be changed. Nerfing damage alone just makes it useless. I’m all ears for how you think it needs adjustment but it shouldn’t exist in the same state come next season.

EDIT - @river magnet yeah I mean something on that level. Make it do less damage but actually SLAM them. Make it a tool for isolating.

It doesn’t need a nerf, it’s a perfectly balanced weapon on the weakest of the three classes. It's also one of the only 2 good weapons on Light against good players lol.

I see a Medium Main role, so I'll put it into perspective in specifically the Light with LH1 versus Medium scenario:

  • LH1 kills Medium between 1.07s (all bodyshots)-0.43s (all headshots), with 100% accuracy.
  • With 100% bodyshot accuracy, literally every single Medium gun kills the Light faster.
  • With 100% headshot accuracy, with the exception of Revolver (tied at 0.43s), and FCAR (0.01s slower), every remaining Medium gun kills the Light faster.

This also applies for Heavy and their guns versus the LH1.
For Light, 93R, M11, SH1900, V9S beat it with 100% bodyshot accuracy, XP-54 ties it, Recurve Bow, SR-84, and Throwing Knives beat it with 100% headshot accuracy.

Make aim assist better for controller users again. A sweet spot between being broken and what it is now. Or just give consoles keyboard and mouse capability and do input based matchmaking.

Hear me out: it's supposed to be a leveller. The fact most top players in the game play on PC says everything. And while you'd get some who would moan about it, you won't see many switch up their superior input of keyboard and mouse to a controller. Which is an option for everyone on PC and console. The majority of players in this game are on console.

Yet on console we do not have the option for any other input. PC players also get to completely control graphic settings for better visibility, have text chat for solo queueing, can play at higher frame rates. They're given every marginal advantage you can imagine.

Please re(introduce) keyboard and mouse for console or rework aim assist. Make the game actually competitive.

Add a juggernaut specialisation to the heavy where it can take about 3-5 seconds to put on some kind of metal armour that blocks gas and fire and gives it an extra 350 health for 5 seconds. This wouldn’t be any kind of fair but if you made it so he moves at the speed of a stun gun target and can’t turn other than aiming his gun. That would be cool.

A bit of a suggestion for the devs: I'm obsessed with iproving my skill in Ranked, but I often find that seeing the exact amount my rank goes up or down with a win or loss can be discouraging. There's an element of 'unknown' from the S2 ranked system that I miss, since it gave me no indication on exactly how bad I was doing when I lost, which meant that I didn't feel quite as discouraged as I do now when losing 1000 RS in a bad match.

Thus, I wanted to suggest a feature that would allow players to hide their exact RS rating from themselves as a toggle on/off option. I think this would help me and a lot of other players a lot with our mental game, and would make some of those loss streaks hurt a lot less when they happen, while still leaving the door open to toggle the option off should you want a more precise reading of how good/bad you're doing.

It's just a way in which players can focus purely on the mechanical craft of improving at the game without the big scary numbers looming over their head -- should they choose to at least.

I think that fortune stadium and Kyoto need a complete overhaul. both of them suffer from the same thing in different ways. in Kyoto, there is a lot of awkward verticality that you have to run miles around or (if you're lucky) use a zipline/launchpad to get over. on top of that, the map is one of the biggest with some of the most open areas with easy vantage points to get shot from. on top of that there is water all over the place that drastically slows you down. (WHY??????) Then, in fortune stadium, the issue is horizontal. all the sections of the map are too far apart of too close together making the launch pads feel like hard rails. and because they don't allow the buildings to breathe at all, you can’t chain together movement utility either. chaining a launch pad into a jump pad always sends you into a wall or into an overhead walkway that is pointless anyways

I feel like there is a significantly larger amount of down time between matches now because the player base is shrinking. quick cash is pretty much intolerable with the current spawns and Embark kind of just showing a lack of actual care for the game by leaving in broken/unoptimized maps and moving on as if there is no issue present. at least for myself if I find that I don't have enough time to hop on for a tournament- I simply no longer play because QC spawns are just so bad that I'd literally rather play ANY other game. It is just totally unenjoyable. Even when I do have time for a tournament I still heavily debate whether or not I will actually get on the game because tournament modes take longer to queue for and there is always a chance that I end up loading into a map that will crash my game or just run poorly for the entire match which also isn't very enjoyable.

Finals used to be my favorite FPS and go-to competitive but it just feels like it's generally being cared for less with every passing update.

Idea for a Healing Beam rework:
The current "overheat" system is somewhat redundant in my opinion. Most skilled players stop healing before it overheats so they don't have to wait for it to cool down (making the system pretty much useless), but many new players may accidentally or unknowingly overheat the beam, which can make it annoying and frustrating to use early on.
However, instead of just removing the overheat mechanic, I propose that the Healing Beam would, after using up all of its energy as usual, instead continue healing but consume an equal amount of life from the person using the Beam (ie. lifesteal). I feel that it would make the healing beam more interesting in fights, especially those which are against teams of 2 or 3 Healing Beam mediums.
I think it would come with a small nerf to the Healing Beam's max energy, but would be an overall neutral rework.

This game needs a better investment in its story. I feel like in season 2 we were finally heading somewhere with this game but after that every other season just felt empty. It made CNS very underwhelming at this point. There's so much you can do! Every season should add a twist that changes the game. For example make CNS hack a game mode such as powershift instead of the platform going slow it goes really fast and it needs to go the teams base multiple time in order to win and it teleports back in the middle every time it does. (Probably add a cooldown before it can move again)

To balance this out they should make it when two melee players are hitting each other your weapons clash together and do no damage to each other. Unless you are hit from behind and when you hold charge it should stun the player. The length of the time being stunned should be associated with each class type. From a light it would be a very short time frame. (milliseconds) This would allow players to put pressure on lights and heavys giving both a fighting chance

Please reduce the FAMAS Burst RPM Speed by a little amount. Its recoil is simple and its accuracy has been buffed along with the addition of a scope. Its Headshot multiplier is decent but its just that the burst speed is too fast. You can actually shred with Famas if you hit majority headshots. (Which isnt hard to do with practice)

Plenty of people spawn 150, 200, 250.
There needs to be a defenders advantage on spawn location, or just a fair chance in general as the time cools down. It doesn't make sense to spawn 100 m or more with only 20 secs left on the clock. I.M.O
Unless You're recommending running double zip line. It's just impractical to be spawning so far sir.

I believe with maps like bernal & Monaco there should be more mega JUMPADs, maybe even a few indestructible ziplines that cover a large area of the map, or deployment towers like apex.
Power shift actually deals with mobility great with the addition of Jumppads that other modes don't receive.

    I.M.O. Kyoto compliments Jumpads the best with a lot of slanted surfaces that help a jump pad launch you like octane's from apex

This game needs a mode that slows the game way down, everything is way too fast and chaotic.

Sweatlords dominate quick play because the game modes reward full-sending on Light and raw zoomer reflexes too much. This game has a wider appeal, but people will continue bouncing off it if they can't keep up. I'm finding myself very burnt-out with the speed of this game. I like explosions, I like destruction, I like all the goofy weapons and gadgets, but the pace of the game is too overwhelming.

TA was on the right track, but I honestly think it went too far in some respects.

That actually sounds really cool, but maybe as a gadget not a specialization. Most mediums weapons have impractical reserves for such a specialization.

Another reason Recon sense wasn't overpowered was because you're Also giving up all support.
Heal B. Turret, Even Dmat helps the entire squad, on defending/attacking the objective. Recon sense was a double edged sword. Losing support can completely throw off the balance of a squad.

However with the amount of nerfs to support & defense since S1 it's more practical just to run offense nowadays

Fix spawns. People get rewarded for losing vault fights by spawning on the Cash Out which is insane. They can just sit on cash out after losing vault fight with winch/stun and they get the plug money. Another problem of Plug Out.

For the game :

  • BAN CHEATERS AND TOXIC PLAYER. AND PERMA BAN ! NOT 7 DAYS
  • Do something for the poor matchmaking in ranked
  • Increase the netcode/tickrate/servers ! Maybe it's lag compensation ? GETTING KILL AT 3 METERS FAR FROM A HAMMER OR A SWORD IS NOT ACCEPTABLE
  • Let us choose our sight weapons at the beginning of a game
  • Let us go in practice with friends PLEASE
  • Delete low gravity event
  • Fix events appear in front of the scoreboard
  • Random skin and charm list for weapons/gadgets
  • Add a TDM mode 5v5 in small arena
  • We shouldn't lost point in ranked when a team mate leave the squad and didn't play during the round
  • Let us invite friends or join them in group even if we are not the group leader
  • Add the possibility to look at the profil/card of friends
  • Some spawn are still at the opposite of the objective
  • Patch the level up bug on weapons at the end of matches. It's been here since many months now

** For balance **

  • NERF MODEL 1887 ! But in season 5 now
  • Add an indicator for the frag grenade or at least make them more visual

  • Spawn are still trash. You can wipe a squad on vault and they will respawn on the Cashout waiting for kill you. But after get wipe, YOU SPAWN AT 100M and MORE
  • Rework defib : Reduce the cooldown reset to 5s and give 100HP instead of 50% of your HP. More fair for Light player. Not a big nerf to M and a bit more to H.
  • Remove the 5s leave

Embark has actually modified that particular contract a lot.
I think it's in a great spot, however I believe a better solution would be to allow players to reroll all contracts using VR bucks.
Not every challenge is for every person, & since they still cost the in-game currency players will still be encouraged to play & put in extra time to earn currency back & complete contracts they actually like.
Not to mention the "free" currency is kinda useless to players that already have everything unlocked.
Or
Just don't intend on buying another item anytime soon.

When are the problems with the game pausing every time there's a destruction event in the environment going to be solved? The game seems to indicate its a server performance problem and I cant see anything wrong with my system or my internet connection. Also plenty of others seem to be having the same problems and it really makes the game unplayable. Surely this should be number 1 priority for a fix.

Rocket league mechanics are god tier when it comes to gaming, & has one of the highest skill ceilings a game has to offer.
Especially considering you can't hack your way to top 500.

On that same note removing the ability to quick melee as Heavy using mesh also seemed like a pointless balance change.

I have been off the game for a week so idk but is it just me or is this contract broken? I LITERALLY THREW, SEEN and HEARD a carriable hit an enemy MULTIPLE TIMES and it's still at 6 (The 6 was from a week ago before I went on vacation). Can we just get the Contract Reroll System back? Jesus man, there's no reason to remove it. I don't care if there's a chance that I could get the same contract again, as long as I can reroll it to a somewhat favorable contract that fits me AND it makes it so VRs have purpose.

PLEASE ADD THE ABILITY TO RELOAD THE GAME WITHOUT NEEDING TO CLOSE THE GAME. This would be a bandaid solution for whenever someone needs to deal with one of the many client side bugs. A sort of "soft reload". Not sure what the correct terminology is for this games engine.

Throwing Knives are not good even with infinite ammo, if it has to reload on top of that, it’d be total shit. Being able to spam it doesn’t matter when you’re not going to live long enough to spam it against anyone with even remotely decent aim.

They have high damage and infinite ammo to make up for the fact that one, it’s on the worst class in the game which also only has 150 HP, and two, that it’s a tiny non-AoE/explosive projectile that loses basically all accuracy on the primary attack whatsoever from any movement. Without both of those two things, the weapon would be completely worthless. The secondary attack’s windup also literally takes longer than it takes to kill a Light with most weapons.

The receiving end already has a chance. It’s called “shoot them, basically every single gun in the game is hitscan and they have only 150 HP, if they’re spamming, they’re missing a lot of shots, if you lose that, that’s on you”.

@quick coyote Throwing Knives is already meh at best, it would need a massive compensation buff for a nerf that huge. Not having to reload is intentional to balance out its downsides. If it needed to reload, it would be even worse than guns than it already literally is. If a Light is spamming (and by extension, obviously missing) Throwing Knives, shoot and kill them.

  1. Make Powershift 6v6.
  2. Replace TA with 6v6 Capture the Flag, King of the hill, or some other fun game mode.

Why 6v6?
A. 3v3v3v3 tournaments prove that 6v6 lobbies are possible.
B. Forming groups of 6 makes it so much easier to play those modes for a bit and then split up to go play WT or Ranked. Right now, when a group of five decides to switch modes, we have to try to find a third for the group of two or the group of two just has to find a rando because possible thirds are already in games or other groups. It creates tension and frustration.

Why replace TA?
A. Casual modes should provide players a way to gain xp and complete challenges, while also providing an alternative experience that either

  • marginally adjusts the core gameplay experience in such a way that
    • changes the tactical meta while still involving core gameplay mechanics (bank it), or
    • gives players a way to acclimate to the core game, and test new loadouts or tactics (quick cash)
  • Or provides a mechanistically different but tonally similar, fun experience for when players are burnt out on the core game modes (power shift).
    B. TA is incredibly dissimilar from the core game, it isn’t a casual mode- it is inherently competitive given the rounds and lack of respawns, and it isn’t team focused gameplay. It doesn’t feel like a different mode, it feels like a different game.

We need a new casual mode that allows people to form bigger groups of people: especially now that clubs are a thing and making larger friend groups is easier. We need multiple ways to play with more of our friends in between when we have to pick just two of them.

It's incredible that being in a ranked and with our own cash-in, when we revive we are all more than 200m away! It doesn't make sense. You are destined to lose it and not defend with such a distance!
It's stupid. It screwed up the round since we constantly had 2 teams fighting and we respawned so far away even though we had possession of the cash-in.

Quick Melee is just a means to a end, I.M.O. it's better to just allow contestants to Equip weapon with whatever button is mapped to it particularly during a reload.

Fix spawns. People get rewarded for losing vault fights by spawning on the Cash Out which is insane. They can just sit on cash out after losing vault fight with winch/stun and they get the plug money. Another problem of Plug Out.

do everyone a favour and just disable sniper from powershift. anyone with a half a braincell can make the entire match complete torture for the rest of the players in the game. you cant balance it properly in the context of powershift because its a single objective in the center of an entire map, with no cover because the platform itself is ruining all the cover that is naturally generated. if you play heavy to make your own cover you're forced to hold your shield the entire game. hiding behind goo as any other class isnt viable either cause it means you cant even peek without getting headshot, only to get blind bodyslammed by the heavy thats trying to bellyflop the point.
sniping isnt interactive, its not fun to play against, it doesnt feel fair to be killed by it. and honestly, its not even that fun to play in the first place -- you just do it to piss off the rest of the lobby.
and its specifically bad on skyway; monaco and horizon are meh cause you can remove all the highground or theres undestructible cover, but good luck doing that on skyway

I have played 530 hours according to steam, but the career tab says I actually spent 360 hours in matches.
So, it's 170 hours in the game menu waiting for a match (I play mostly in the SA for ping, sometimes in NA for ranked)

I think the time estimate for a match could be improved. I see a lot of people from the SA server that wastes 15 to 30 minutes waiting for a ranked match when there is not a single soul in queue.
My suggestion is pretty simple:

**- Use the "number of people in queue" system, similar to Deadlock for example. **
Logic is simple:

  • if number of people in queue is more than the mode requires -> add "+" to mode required number (EX: Quick Cash with full queue would show "9+")
  • else, show number of people in queue (EX: Quick Cash -> any number up to 9)

This will not impact busy servers like NA, but will help a lot servers where some game modes are not always available.
Help us not waste our time! We could just be playing your game instead of waiting in queue.

A GUN-GAME MODE WOULD BE DOPE:

You start as one class, use 3-4 weapons from the class then move onto the next one. For example, start as medium/demat with the revolver, then model shotgun, then akm or fcar. Then move to light with grapple or dash, 93R, XPS, LH1. Then heavy with charger/shield, M60, slug shotgun, hammer. This probably needs a few more guns.

Maybe mix up the specializations. For example, while working through a class certain guns will fall under a certain specialization group, like grapple will be used with the 93R and matter, the swaps to dash with XPS, then LH1 before moving into the heavy.

I somewhat agree. Especially when it comes to heavy, the regeneration change never seemed too bad, but with how much utility has been taken away from support and defense certain balance changes are starting to feel like overkill as they overlap one another.
The health delay makes it feel almost mandatory for players to run Heal B. If they don't have the mobility, offensive, or awareness capabilities to counter enemy contestants.

Another example is Defib, I don't think the list of cons seem balanced at all.

World tour Final round needs to change, you give the teams 20 minutes of playtime but it doesn't matter cause you just need to steal cash outs. Why not make it to where both teams fight, each kill gives you cash like usual. Then introduce an event where kills are double money. The cashout should be the cherry on top. This would make for a much more engaging final round with more incentives to actually engage teams rather than play lame and just cheese a steal. Make final rounds fun again!!!

Fuck it, season 6, I want a heavy primary that’s a riot shield five-seven combo, and I’m postin this every day till it happens.

  • 25 damage per shot, fire rate and damage falloff similar to the V9S
  • 20 round mag, reload slightly slower than the V9S (reloading with a shield in your hands is hard :c)
  • hipfire isn’t great isn’t terrible, only really good for people who are way too close.
  • ADS is laser accurate, but requires you shift your shields position diagonally, revealing your head and more of your legs.
  • Recoil is similar to the V9S, maybe slightly higher as a balance point.
  • Riot shield is effectively identical to mediums, maybe shorter to reveal more of heavies legs so it’s not just “better riot shield”
  • Shield is held up whenever not sprinting. Lowering heavies movement slightly.
  • Shield is held to side while sprinting, functioning like mediums riot shield when not being held up.

The servers are absolutely garbage. One game I'll be able to land shots and the next I can unload an entire mag on someone up close and nothing registers. Often times i'll round a corner completley in the clear and still get killed by ghost bullets. I'd love to be able to see a network readout of the ping and packet loss so I know what i'm dealing with--this is something the game needs to implement and for it to allow us to limit regional settings even w/in the US (e.g. west coast only). The network code needs a major rework because gameplay is not at all consistent.

I agree embark! You have temporarily removed plenty of features/modes/map variations before so you could fix it. Consider this for kyoto as well. It's very unoptimized, and things are barely visible due to the amount of visual clutter and the forced TAA on top of that. That being said, I'd also like a sharpness filter for it if you can't allow us to turn it off!

Also, lightsaber skins for dual katanas, sword and the spear please 💪

In a future season how about a roller-skate mode to match the skin we got in season 4. Sprinting activates the skates and the game mode should revolve around a kind of relay race with the teams moving 1 vault to several cash boxes in order. The order might be different for each team.

Skating would be fast and there would be a time limit once you pick up a vault to get it to a cash point.

Fail to reach the point in time and the vault respawns at the last cash box or at the start.

Allow some new mechanics like wall riding when skating.

no, high percentage wipe was inherently poorly designed. devs commented on this directly. players performing well for the entire duration of the round were punished more so at the end than players performing poorly. The goal of a knockout round should be to ensure the 2 teams who performed the best advance to the next round. high percentage wipes were a very poor way of ensuring this

  2. Replace TA with 6v6 Capture the Flag, King of the hill, or some other fun game mode.

Why 6v6?
A. 3v3v3v3 tournaments prove that 6v6 lobbies are possible.
B. Forming groups of 6 makes it so much easier to play those modes for a bit and then split up to go play WT or Ranked. Right now, when a group of five decides to switch modes, we have to try to find a third for the group of two or the group of two just has to find a rando because possible thirds are already in games or other groups. It creates tension and frustration.

Why replace TA?
A. Casual modes should provide players a way to gain xp and complete challenges, while also providing an alternative experience that either

  • marginally adjusts the core gameplay experience in such a way that
    • changes the tactical meta while still involving core gameplay mechanics (bank it), or
    • gives players a way to acclimate to the core game, and test new loadouts or tactics (quick cash)
  • Or provides a mechanistically different but tonally similar, fun experience for when players are burnt out on the core game modes (power shift).
    B. TA is incredibly dissimilar from the core game, it isn’t a casual mode- it is inherently competitive given the rounds and lack of respawns, and it isn’t team focused gameplay. It doesn’t feel like a different mode, it feels like a different game.

We need a new casual mode that allows people to form bigger groups of people: especially now that clubs are a thing and making larger friend groups is easier. We need multiple ways to play with more of our friends in between when we have to pick just two of them.

medium is not a fun class/as fun as light or heavy

part of this is that hes purely support, which is shown by his specializations.
demat:used primarily for escaping, and quickly dropping the cashout a floor down or more. you can troll with it, but those are those two primary uses.
med gun: self explanatory. not much fun to be bad in healing teammates.
guardian turret: same as med gun really. only fun if it kills, which is rare imo.

compared with say charge and slam. tons of fun to be had there. for example, firing a rocket down and immediately slamming from a crane.

the weapons can be fun (such as fuel blades), but medium isn’t really built for melee. he’s extremely effective and efficient, but “fun” not that much compared to light or heavy

Quick hot tip though if you want the game to get players again... stop nerfing everything and driving the fun into the ground. Melee Weapon for Medium (possibly to replace dual blades). Time to go the good ol fashion route and settle fights the only way our ancestors knew how. By beating someone with your god given weapons:

These hands: 70 dmg per hit (either similar attack style to dual blades, or as fast as you can click with a max cap like the v9s but slower than QM interrupt), good lunge range like the improve dual blades, slightly longer than QM range (maybe half a meter?), on hit, immediately interrupts player sprinting

These feet: Right click to lunge (either immediate with an internal cooldown or hold to charge but it charges faster than a sword lunge) and forward kick people (a bit like a low altitude jump pad), off the top of my head, 100 damage on hit that pushes them back a small distance (preferably slightly shorter than a full slide distance), if they impact a wall (works on goo walls as well) then plus 40 dmg and reset all momentum and movement while shifting enemy view point slightly. (if you were sprinting before it will interrupt and make it as if you werent moving in the first place, some QoL balancing to ensure this isnt annoying)

Optimal combos:
Lights:
2 normal + 1qm
1 kick + 1 normal
1 kick + 1 QM (if they hit a wall)

Mediums:
3 normal + 1 qm

Damage can be tweaked or ROF can be tweaked to make it more balanced. But the optimal combos lie between the sword and the sledge being somewhat of a middle ground. Clarification for "lunge" for the alt. Its a short boost to forward and upwards momentum (if youre looking up) that stops the moment you hit an enemy, its different from the sword's inherent lunge. It also has generally shorter range than the sword (the normals can be at QM range or slightly above as mentioned)

This is why you never see any good European FPS games. They don't know how to build or balance FPS games that actually work out. As bad as COD is, even they balance things better than these devs. I agree with everything you said. Plus the audio has been atrocious in this game since the beginning, there's no killcam because these devs don't know how to do it in UE5 and there's obvious cheaters yet EAC does nothing.

Something that might reduce some pain points in ranked tournaments (at the cost of +1 server per tournament, alas):

  • Still start with 8 teams and 3 rounds
  • Maintain the first round as two 3v3v3v3 matches as the 'play-in' round for seeding the qualifying 4 teams
  • Switch the second round to two 3v3 matches as the semifinal round according to seeds
  • Maintain the 3v3 final round
  • Bonus: At the expense of +1 server, you could also have a 3v3 'third place' match where the incentive is that the winner of that match and, thus, the 3rd place team, does not lose RS.
    Questions:
    (1) Would that actually improve the player count and play time in ranked (a proxy for increased satisfaction)?
    (2) Is any improvement sufficient to justify the extra 1 or 2 servers per tournament? (Honestly, I have no idea if the economics are that straightforward, and perhaps there are other drawbacks I haven't considered.)

Is something going to be done about the crashing on PC? I crash at least 1-3 times during any given ranked play session and it always seems to be caused by sensory overload bullshit/destruction. Last game on kyoto the whole map was falling apart, I got flashbanged, screen goes white and the game crashes. Same game, I slam as heavy from the roof to kill someone, crash as soon as I hit the ground. I have to actively play more passively because the game may crash, causing my team to lose the game. Ongoing worsening issue since season 2. FIX THIS.

Season 6 leaks!

-Heavy can now fly. Drop a "sensory bomb" that blinds, deafens and locks up to 6 enemy's. Heavy starts at 350 health when round begins and it slowly climbs to reach peak at 1000 where you glow and can cause radiation damage.

-Medium we are buffing the model, we realized it was actually fine and because we are sorry we are giving it 5 more rounds to have a solid dozen. Also they get season 1 recon sense back, but it lasts the whole game.

-Light. We all know the casuals need a DPS heavy "Light" so we have given unlimited dash, as long as you hold the button down you will continue dashing. The dagger can now shoot one tap projectiles that crawl inside the opponents ear and grows a gravity bomb that sucks all the sense out of them for playing.
