Hello I reckon ranked power shift would be pretty lit
haven't played in a while, the ui updates are good in concept, it is just bugging me how long it takes for the cashout to actually show its location when respawning, i would like an option to toggle this altogether or for the animation to be quicker. changing it to show when respawning direction but also show the position could work as a rework aswell!

embark has to make a move, but how? i do think 3 stacks work better, but not everyone likes it (ie pic in my last comment of everyone who left previously + people who stick to non-cashout gamemodes). do something BOLD (not TA S3 ranked bold, like cashout gamemodes & unique util/weapons) as its what the foundation of what this game is built on - only strengthening its core features & segway players into cashout gamemode
also this pic reiterates my point, no role / casuals likes the powershift. gamemodes like powershift is very good casuals and more should be introduced - EMBARK PLEASE WE ALL WANT THIS GAME TO SUCCEED - MAKE A MOVE FOR THE PLAYER COUNT

I'm grinding like crazy just to finish the BP, after you get the sponsorship contracts done, all you have is 15k XP per day from the daily ones. Never had this issue before, Embark really disappointed me in this regard

So I play a game of quick cash and I notice that my enemy team are all emerald one in world tour and diamond in ranked. No big deal at all. But when the game is finished I notice that my teammates went very negative kdr. Come to notice that they're both level 15 and collectively have less than 60 wins between the two. Why does Embark find it appropriate to queue someone with 1000 hours with someone with maybe 20 hrs? I don't mind playing with newbies. But I do think this will be disadvantageous to their new player experience and lead to lower player retention. Unless your plan is just to feed the whales all day off the corpses of the new player base. If that's the case we might be screwed..I think new players might need their own separate queue in quick cash. Might help the game.

this game struggles from having a good casual experience (meta is trivial, player count isnt)
Here me out, out there idea but a cool idea I had was a gas mask for a heavy specialization, the way it would work would be that you could put on the mask, and a cloud of gas would appear around you, but youād be immune to it with the mask on. It would be really helpful to clear out a small space, as you could walk into a room with a bunch of people and clear them out or kill them while being immune yourself. The downsides would be that it would hurt your teammates and that the mask wouldnāt last as long as the gas, naturally, although the amount of time between the gas dispersing and the mask going down wouldnāt be unsurvivable. The reload time would also have to be long.
Yeah all the other seasons balanced the bp much better if you did your dailies and the missions you could easily finish it with a week or so buffer this season would be terrible for anyone who dared to go on vacation for a few weeks or something lol

last season's BP required around 40K XP per lvl if I remember correctly, wich was still pretty grindy for me but ended up getting all but the last reward. This season it's just insanely unbalanced

yeah but I feel like the 150 health wouldn't be enough to survive a firefight while having around 50+ rounds like a real P90. They would have to make it so the P90 doesn't do a lot of damage for the amount of ammo it has but then you wouldn't be able to kill fast enough toward other players

Buff the CL but donāt make it oppressive.
Keep the five bullet magazine. Either increase damage and keep the mid-S4 AOE nerf, or keep damage but undo the mid-S4 AOE nerf. And slightly increase projectile speed. As it stands itās bad with both damage AND AOE nerfed after the S4 launch. Five bullet magazine means you can shoot four shots before reloading with action reload, which means itās faster to do 8 blasts and do destruction to buildings. That should stay.
a super easy update you wanna at least consider:
right now on powershift, there is only one spawnpoint for platform. if nobody touches the plat or it stays near spawn, it can get slightly boring always playing the same location (what about the rest of the map!!!). thus i propose having different spawns for the platform!! (doesnt change mid match, i mean like it changes every game)
The spear's right click is so lame and unintuitive. Let us throw it and do a but tone of damage but it goes on cooldown for like 5-10 seconds where you can only use gadgets and quick melee
The fact that winning a round means absolutely nothing in ranked and also the second round being a lol as well really goes to show just how ass and flawed the system really is
Honestly I was of the mindset that TA as a ranked mode was a stupid move but now more than anything I rather see a entirely new ranked mode than Cashout cuz holy shit the amount of third parties, griefing and overall how the system is laid out is not really a very fun experience
Not to mention the insane amount of smurfing and boosting people are doing.

Honestly it really is a spit on the face for the insane uphill battle you really gotta fight and what you get rewarded is even more ridiculous
I enjoy fighting people that are better than me and then being able to perhaps look back at what both teams did and how we can improve upon it
But if all we can think about is "How could we have prevented our first and two cashout secures and plugs not be rendered useless cuz second place got both plugs on the final cashout and then making us 9v3" truly is a terrible thing to ponder on.
The game is fun and im looking forward to season 5 but overall the sheer lack of competence from the balancing team and the design team behind the "competitive experience" are just really pushing me away from the game
In season 4, we really got world tour again and ranked and theres really no real difference between the 2 and everyone prefers playing WT over ranked cuz you actually get something for winning a first round whereas all you get is a middle finger in ranked unless you get to the final round. I get it, can you reach the finals? Its in the name, but this is honestly ridiculous at this point and can quite clearly see why many people say this game will never be esport ready and why casuals rather just have the stupid broken shit like nukes back and a scar that can laser across the world.
The game is fun, but playing truly isnt fun for any extended amount of time
FIX THIS SHIT. I am going to keep complaining about it as long as it's in the game. Why on earth should my opponent killing themselves with their grenade launcher or rpg not count as my kill after I got them down to one hit? There is literally nothing I could have done to kill this guy before he did that, and no one else was there. It's just him and I fighting, and he died after I continually hit him. But no one gets a kill because the last hit came from him panic firing his rpg at me while I was right up in his face. I cannot fathom a world where anyone would think this felt good for either player or was a justifiable game design choice, and it is absolutely maddening every time it happens. This isn't be being a dumbass and whining about how something needs nerfs or buffs, this is a fundamental flaw in the way combat counters are designed, and it seems like an easily fixable one.

Orbital Lasers (Arguably the least effective event the game has to offer in my opinion. Yes it allows for people to not stand still for too long to prevent camping, but it doesn't do its job effectively. I believe having the lasers stay locked in to you, forcing you to take damage [unless you're inside a building] is a must needed change)

Alien Invasion (Perfect job on the Alien Invasion update during the Holtow Insurance week in World Tour. Hopefully this change gets put in live servers in Season 5)

Retro Invasion 82 (Second to worst event in my opinion. The aliens barely ever shoot the ground and they pass by way too quick. I believe it's clear that they need to be a little more active in terms of open fire, but I also wish that either more rows of Aliens were added or they moved across the arena slower)

Mega Damage (I've seen countless of suggestions for this, but for me, the go-to option would be to simply increase the damage of weapons towards structures in the arena. It would be nice to rip through a wall with a single mag of an AKM for example)

Meteor Showers (Attaching an achievement tied to the only mid-game event that lasts significantly shorter than the others is kind of silly in my opinion. I would personally increase the duration and update for Meteor Showers to occur on both cashout stations in World Tour)
You can put in suggestions of your own, but you can't disagree completely that the events in this game don't need to be spiced up. A reminder that they last for a small period of time and Ranked allows for there to be no mid-game events at all

the easiest way i found to do this is power shift, ignore the platform and just go light with dash, focus on the enemies doesnt matter if you die or not but low key feel like im trolling my team little bit for a contract ;-;
Also use the fire barrels those have a bit more consistent hit box? idk i've had more luck with them then any other throwable

Yea, I wanna help my team but I get to be held back because of a damn contract. Today I had to deal with that contract, and āGet 25 headshots from 35m or moreā (I hate sniping). Those contracts took a whole damn day to complete for me.

Please add the ability to quick melee PARRY all melee weapons. The people who aren't using melee weapons need to be able to skillfully defend themselves. I'm reminded of the Halo 2/3 parry system with swords.

the increase of xp needed to lvl up the last 2 pages of the BP compared to last season is insane, there's no valid justification for it (except, of course that they want you to pay for those levels)
100.000 exp is away to much, even if you play casually. Unless you played since the start of the season, there's 0 justification for it to be this much.
In a good match for bank it rn, if you win you get around 5k of exp, you would need win literally 20 rounds for EACH item, and that is the FAST mode.

1 - WT is not acessible to everyone, some server Dont have enough players for it. (Cant play it in South America)
2 - If youāre Emarald 1 youāre not the avarage player. What I mean by that is that youāre a very experiencied player, not the goober that play powershift and probaly only play for fun.
3 - But your other points are valid, its just that I Dont think 100.000 should be the base line since is basically meaningless to people who either play alot or are incredible good at this game. But to the avarage person that works and have a life it might not be an easy task.
I play CASUALLY, finished BP in less than a month, got Emerald 1 in less than a month. Don't play bank it or quick cash, play WT and get the XP. Finish all contracts and daily and it is suuuuuper easy

It just was never a problem until this season and maybe last season with how penalizing losing early is so now even the smurf/taxi virus has infected the game where if you're not doing it you're extremely punished in both gaining and losing points

I noticed the matchmaking this season in WT is much better. I am getting good teamamtes, good enemies. Good matches overall.
I think just a reduce a little would be fine, like 70.000 might be better for everyone, itās not too easy but not too grim. Or hell, make the next bonus items progressively more and more expensive instead exactly all of them be 100.000ā¦
I also think they should buff other modes gains too, powershift give piss exp and fans for no reason.

Season 4 has been fairly disappointing so far, and makes me question returning for season 5. First time I reach end of a season of The Finals feeling so burned out and frustrated:
- You can't make of your core game, a game where third party wins is so prevalent. No matter how many nerfs and buffs happen, Quick Cash just can't be the main game because of how unfair the game mechanic is at its core. Please make a big focus on games like Power Shift for us casual players, boost the rewards for XP, make it count for "Deep Pockets", this type of stuff and make more of this type of game modes. Enough with Quick Cash.
- Please add a queue filtered by input device. No matter my position I lose 50 to 80 points damage to keyboard & mouse players because controllers will never be able to compete with the precision and rotation of a mouse. Playing with a controller on PC, I have countless games where I can queue based on my input device. The Finals should be no exception. Could this be implemented in Season 5? I am starting to lose interest in the game due to its other imbalances, input device not existing is just another one.
- The game needs more rewards to counter the obvious grind for the sponsors track and the career circuit track and the battle pass track. Introduce new rewards for those of us who play daily, please. Give us some fun titles for doing XYZ eliminations, or getting eliminated XYZ times or in a specific way like with our own grenades ("Skill Issue" title). There should be a dedicated in-game "achievement" area in the UI where we could see fun titles and cosmetic rewards that we can expect if we work towards XYZ fun achievements. I don't mind grinding as much if I'm passively working towards achievements, especially if it's in fun, casual game modes like Power Shift. I do mind grinding if it's just to get that one odd 100k XP worth helmet or sniper objectives I don't care for + in try-hards "just watch the third party walk in and win" game modes like Quick Cash.
- Oh and "The Wheel" was a disaster. Don't do FOMO again please. Just don't.

Iām lvl 70, Emerald 4 and getting a team of lvl 10-30 unranked, I got a suspicion that they are bots as they donāt communicate and not reviving.
Thatās not a good matchmaking at all, feeling that Embark wasting my time sometimes. Itās just impossible to progress like that.
its a noticable improvement. I used to get a lot of new players/bots in earlier seasons. Nowadays not so much. Mostly max level people like me who play to win. EU servers.

What happened to Diamond being a rank that was given to the top 10k players or even top 8k players making it top 1.9k removes the sense of it being a rank obtainable and instead a rank people just sit on and stop playing so that they can't lose it while those below in plat 2+ can't find matches or get put in top 2 seed just to have a chance to be targeted to lose the past 3 games played. Can we get a revamp on the ranking system to detect win streaks and loss streaks to make it easier to gain rs and lose it at bad matches not a coin flip. As for those in Diamond + have a rank incentive to play the game still such as knowing that like every 2 weeks if it detects that you haven't played ranked in a bit it forces you to do promos again as a way of obtaining the rank again after 3 matches in the elo you were playing in
Could we remove the Kyoto map from the regular roster of maps and only add it back periodically through the year for some random events? It's one of the worst map designs I've experienced with regular 40k-0$ type results in Power Shift because it's far too easy for a team to dominate the platform through the entire duration of the game mode.

Streaking wins should be awarded more rs points. Also the seed team hardly makes sense sometimes because I've been 6th - 7th seed with amazing teams but had awful teams as a first seed. I feel like the disparity in rs points between seeds just doesn't make sense because I have a chance to gain ONLY 900 rs as first seed sometimes whilst losing well over a 1000 which doesn't sit right with me. It should also be based on performance eg. Kills, objectives etc.

1,000,000 XP bonus pages is an unhealthy, anti-casual way to retain players. Embark should add more events with cool rewards instead.

I played less this season than any other season, basically just played enough to finish events and contracts and I just finished the battle pass last night. It's more than doable.
@quick coyote read what I said, slower. I said I played just enough to do contracts and the events (I didn't even get everything from the halloween event), and I don't have all my weekly contracts completed either, I still have like 4-5 to do. I completed the battlepass yesterday compared to all 3 previous seasons I completed the battlepass within a couple weeks.

Don't use yourself as proof of anything, everyone has their own circumstances as to why they couldn't finish the BP sooner. You "playing less" isn't saying anything, how much exactly? Because I for sure played less, took time to complete all contracts, played the Halloween event and still couldn't finish the BP or the sponsorship, Im having to grind for that. At least i do HAVE time for this right now, but sadly a lot of people can't.
The Guardian Turret should use whatever weapon the Medium who deployed it was using
And if the Medium was using melee weapons, then the Turret should shoot Throwing Knives or Arrows
Sword and Dash on light class needs to go. Either put a cool down in between dashes or replace it the sword with something else.

The wheel changed my life, it will never be the same after experiencing the wheel. My eyes water, I can feel tears run down my face as I remember the glory days of the wheel. My teammate left the game saying fk this game, ruby and a diamond players in euro server using aimbot. I left the game too, I have reported them, pls return my rs. Itās very frustrating grinding 20 mins for 500 rs and loosing it like this.

Streaking teams should not be awarded more RS what are you on about. Streaking teams should be tracked so should premade teams. You should adjust the seed on these criterias. If a team is premade and or winning 5+ games in a row they should naturally be pushed towards seed 1 and play towards the RS that any seed 1 would in that game.
This is to combat smurfing right now you can have 2 Ruby players playing on silver accounts just to boost their one friend higher. And then they just make a new account

Not sure what has been going on these past few days. I saw the connection lag, that I have seen others complain about, just now. It was BAD. It makes the game unplayable. I even had a dematerialized wall, from a teammate, that I was unable to walk through. It cost us the World Tour match. It would be nice if they would fix this issue. Is it a network issue, or is the player base so low now that they can't afford good servers? Whatever the cause, is it an indication of the end of The Finals?

Kyoto is a little too one sided. And PS needs Vegas and the new map.
Also, there needs to be some kind of deterrent for spawn camping the other team, and for snipers who sit in their own spawn. Like a wall to make the current spawn zones restricted for the other team and the wall blocks bullets so snipers have to come out of spawn.
Lastly, I have 2 ideas to encourage objective play.

I did some test again, and it baffles me how much it is UNPLAYABLE as L SNIPER and now also as MID pike 556 (sort of covering fire but near).

@mighty cedar I think a good way to go about eliminating the "kills" mentality that comes with COD mains would be to make a noob pool. Kinda like R6 where you have to play with strictly beginners. Maybe you only advance to regular game modes once you've reached a specific objective score threshold. I agree that a lot of players come in and try to kill everything instead of taking an objective-focused approach, and that issue is not necessarily specific to lights. The game is an objective-based game not a kill-count game and that's a really important distinction to make for newcomers.
Can we please get some additional points for winning in the World Tour? The road to the emerald is long and tedious, and it takes a lot of time to reach the destination.
117 * 3 = 351. ttk was unchanged on heavy, but effective range was still increased. all the model change did was make it more forgiving against mediums, but more oppressive against lights and heavies.

I have noticed that newer players tend to play the objective more than players at higher levels. I introduced 2 friends to the game, both sitting at level 9 now and the average objective score in those lobbies was around 2000-4000, while the objective score in lobbies with lvl 65+ players is usually below 2000
It will be learned eventually. The people that play that way donāt have many hours or matches in the game. Seeing more people playing that way is good though. That means more are trying out the finals which is amazing. I love this game and hope more and more come to play it. The Finals doesnāt get the recognition it deserves tbh. When I run into new player in QC or WT I will add them and play multiple rounds with them and teach a little bit to help out. Them going for kills is also very beneficial, itāll teach them how to control several different guns recoil and mechanics. The Finals is so much different with gunplay and then aping everything is good for learning how to position and what not. Most the times I go for just kills though in QC just cause itās fun, manly lose with 20-30+ kills though.
Off of my soapbox. Instead of getting mad at players, teach them how to be efficient.
@brittle obsidian you are right, if you are a perfect shot. Which none of us are. The less damage per pellet makes it harder to make it abusive vs heavies and mediums. Iām a very high tier player and I donāt feel comfortable aping heavies with a shotgun anymore. I think the nerf was beneficial. Now we are seeing more ARs again which is super cool. I like versatility with each weapon, and the game is super close to being perfect IMO
Only thing I dislike is plug meta, it doesnāt matter on two cash outs, but the final one can/will. Spawns should be equal distance and equal mobility to the box (Kyoto) to make it fair since plug matter sooo much. Maybe make less of difference in cash amounts for each new box. It sucks plugging and defending or stealing two cash outs and still losing due to the third box being so much money. I shouldnāt lose for winning two boxes and getting third partied or griefed out in the third. My two cents ig

It can still 3 shot heavies. Sure it cant 2 shot mediums but if you know how close the range effectively it doesnt matter if you melee combo them. The effective range is significantly higher with the reduced spread and center pellet which is a buff against light and an indirect buff to the peak+shoot+hide playstyle. You can take on enemies from farther away and avoid the counters like charge and hook. All the nerf does is raise the skill floor. If you can aim, it is a lot better than the last nerf.

It'd have to decide you were ready after some sort of statement requirment is met I guess, or maybe give them a dedicated Contract Circuit that let's you play with the bigger fish once you complete it. Failing that they use a secret score system like ranked but you can't see it.
They need a TDM / Kill Comfirmed, Domination or VIP mode to siphon the kills players into.
Not sure what they'd call them, though Hostile Takeover would work for Domination and maybe Highroller or something would fit VIP mode?

Hi yes you are a legend but if it got more buffs I would rather have it be QoL stuff like tapping right click to backstab. If it got more buffs it would be an even more offensive weapon and it doesn't need that. currently you can use it to rush teams and still get a good number of kills, but its also a great weapon for holding an objective. (I also don't think embark likes how offensive it is already so we aren't getting a buff anyways T_T)

i agree that dagger shouldnt get any super crazy buffs but stuff like the movement speed while charging the knife isnt going to really lead to rushing teams being a super large amount more effective than it already is, especially given that that is already an ineffective way of playing the weapon against good players anyways. itll mostly help playing more passively since u currently cant really play a passive playstyle with dagger without having to use dash (which hard locks you into the aggressive playstyle) to chase the people you're behind because you unironically move slower than a heavy while charging it
@red echo i dont see why my ability to make it to top 100 with the weapon should have a strong bearing on if the weapon deserves to be buffed, plenty of people can and have run weird bad weapons to high ranks. stop_resisting is currently bordering top 50 playing spear heavy as his main but i dont think a lot of people would be saying that spear doesnt need a buff or rework rn. i dont think the game needs to be completely balanced around melee but the weapons dont deserve to be left to fester in what they currently are now.

after every single match (console) the game freezes in the laodingscreen to the scoreboard then it freezes in the scoreboard and then it freezes in the home screen. also when this happens when im playing with friends i get kicked out of the party and they have to send me a new invite after every match.

I suggest removing the 50/50,60/60,70 combo and replacing it with flat 55/55 damage slashes, it fixes the light and heavy breakpoints without touching medium ttk (Which is fine though struggles with Model). And or improve the swing speed by 5-15% to decrease the ttk. A 2-5% momentum buff would be great too so we have a chance of sticking on enemies. This would include sprinting/walking but sliding too. Buff their range

Itās literally the best event in the game. In a game thatās entirely about adapting to your surroundings on the fly, low grav excels at testing players ability to adapt their playstyle. It can be incredibly strong if you know how to play with it

Was diamond in OB. Just started playing again recently, got to gold 2 pretty quick, and now I've had 15 games where I just constantly been matched up with the most absurd horrible teammates. I have honestly never experienced anything like this before.
This is really bad Matchmaking, I'm having the lights with daggers and teammates running of solo, instead of defending the vault as we have it, spamming coins like they have a 100000 of them.
i wish ranked was gone. winning on behalf of a sponsorship is great. the sponsor who wins should get ruby rewards, 2nd gets diamond, 3rd gets emerald
also some events around sponsors when a sponsor falls behind (so engimo COULD come back)

I know I b*tch a lot about the game but that's only because I'm passionate about making it better (sounding like a toxic gf rn I know). I did want to say I nominated The Finals in as many categories as possible in The Steam Awards this year, it's by far one of the best FPS games and has one of the coolest communities ever (huge props to community managers working in the shadow to keep it that way) 
If I were trying to design a game to be as unappealing and repelling to casuals as possible, Iād make the default quickplay mode:
- Take place on gigantic, unintuitive maps, taking 30+ seconds for noobs to reach the fight each life
- Include horribly cheesy abilities & items such as invisibility, hard CC, and auto-aim turrets that dominate noobs
- Make base health regeneration take up to 18 seconds
- Have each and every respawn take between 15-45 seconds (you will have to run another 150m once youāre finally back)
- Give even the most basic weapons excessive recoil/visual recoil better befitting a tac-lite shooter
I would name this crock of unfriendly shite The Finals and it would flop within a month.
A Gamemode where people fight for eachother's tokens. Similar to TDM however whenever you eliminate a player, you take a respawn token from their whole team. If your team run out of respawn tokens, you will be eliminated from the game and the others will continue to fight.

- Fights last longer, and it forces new players to learn to be more tactical in their approach.
- Invis is garbage, after the first time someone goes invis it wonāt really work again. The turrets do 40 dps or smth. Even a new player wonāt die to a turret often.
- Lights heal at seven seconds, mediums 8, and heavies 10.
- Respawns donāt take more than thirty seconds especially in quick cash. 90% of the time you will respawn within or at 100 meters, also helps new players learn to move through the map faster.
- The recoil makes it more rewarding to hit your shots and most new people I play with enjoy it or think itās fine. It also adds a higher skill ceiling, although I doubt you will ever reach it.

im not usually in here but has there been any discussion on different sensitivity sliders for different zooms? as i found out recently when trying to match my sens that the ads zoom applies to all sights thats not the sniper scope
Furthermore what you could do if anyone did manage to get into the game you could make it so when people were aiming down sights and recoil controlling right, you could make it so the bullets always come out of the centre of the screen instead of where the gun's sight is pointing confusing all of the new players and irritating the fuck out of anyone with common-sense.
OH OH and then for your team game what you could do is put a plethora of high-damage spamable weapons next to all the low-damage ones so that when when you get those people that look at the team game and decide "I want to lone wolf" they can. This would however have the opposite effect by making it so when people play as a team all these high damage weapons can now be used in conjunction with each other to delete enemy teams in record time.
OH OH and- and- and then you could come up with a match making system that prioritizes putting new players and less skilled players with and against more experienced players so the more experienced players don't get through the content as quickly and the new players get pushed away by having their first experience with the game be negative. You greatly overestimate not just the new player but also the average player. Regeneration begins at 7/9/10, it does not complete until later. Team wipes can extend the timer well beyond 30. Again, relatively strong recoil on even default guns is massively unappealing to the average player but itās clear you donāt care about them given you somehow got butthurt enough to think my message had anything to do with me.

I just want to point out that the game had a better balance between casual and skilled players during the closed betas and launch.
The game used to be very competitive but at the same time allowed casual players to jump in and enjoy the gameplay.
Now the "balance" updates have pushed the gameplay into sweaty matches and has alienated more casual players.
I think this is because the equipment in CBs and launch were easier to aim and did more damage.
Which allowed casuals to easily get kills while still allowing more skilled players to dominate if they're actually skilled.
There were a few problems during CB and launch but I think the balance direction Embark went ultimately hurt the original casual competitive nature this game had in the beginning.
I absolutely love this game and I hope it returns to that same energy it once had in the beginning.

The average consistent player of any FPS, even competitive ones, barely touches ranked. Of those that do, their rank is around Gold. The average player that tries and drops these games is even worse. A lot of players dropped the Finals.

Consider removing the forced inaccuracy, 'spread' or whatever it's being called for medium revolver.
It's a six shot weapon that relies on accuracy for results. Making it forcibly inaccurate is frustrating, and a poor way to balance it, imo.
If you can land your shots, you deserve the Elim. I want to use it, and I suspect others do as well based on some of the comments I've seen.
The RPG not eliminating lights in one hit is a fair balance change, but the extreme self damage is an example of bad balance. The self damage should be the same as done to an enemy player.

I want to add that not only do I think it's because of equipment having better recoil and damage but I think the matchmaking and the 200,000+ players at the time also helped.
If the results of Showdown week 1 can be heavily influenced by the number of contestants under each sponsor, maybe week 2 can be based on the win rate rather than win count

Buff dps on xp keep the sight changes because its a mid range smg. m11 nerf hip fire to not be as strong but still strong and buff recoil to make it feel better to ads with at close ranges. Gonna be honest about this one. The Season 4 Ranked Experience:
So I have played the game since its launch, pretty much the only game I have played ever since and I have been consistently sweating on ranked for sure. By far (Cashout wise), I had the worst experience this season for a couple of reasons.
1: the 30% cash on plug rule. Now I always had a blast playing cash out; you go up against a team, you win the fight, youāre rewarded by having a time window to deliver the cash and start setting up your defense, its how it worked season 1-2. With this season, a team is usually forced to pick a stun ability (winch, or tazer) to steal the cash box off somebodyās hands. This simply rewarded players who rely more on third partying or griefing. Game turned into some sort of cash delivery simulator, where whoever delivers cashes more takes up the lead. (Forgot to mention that 7k just for plugging last cash box is such way too game flipping)
2: Respawns. Respawns this season are by far the worst, you wipe a team to basically give them a fast travel to the cashout, where theyād gladly spawn right infront of you and steal the cash box. This type of respawn been very consistent.
By far, griefing and third partying reached a new peak this season. I am barely able to stand my place in top 500, just because I usually somehow queue against the same teams whoād do their best to simply grief me by plugging more cashes.
RPG self damage has to be higher because the health of the class is the highest. 140 damage is 93% of a Lightās health but just 40% of a Heavyās.
@autumn sedge casuals have a very wide overlap with noobs, Iām sorry comprehension is something you struggle so much with. You must be the genius that thought 15-45s respawn times in Quickplay wasnāt one of the dumbest things ever thought of.

Is it possible to fix the throwing knives animation where the contestant will stick their hands way up into the air for absolutely no reason? I don't know if it happens with all skins, but it definitely happens with 52 Pickup. It seems like half the time I either swap from a gadget to the knives, or do something that requires hand animations like mantling or ziplining, that my Light will just put their hands in the air like they just don't care, and it blocks a pretty significant portion of my sight for about a second when it happens. It doesn't look like an intentional animation (if it is, then I don't understand what it's supposed to be conveying to the player), and causes me to fumble a lot of engagements because I just can't see where I'm throwing.

To my knowledge, you shouldn't be placed in Asia servers unless you're in Asia, or you manually selected Asia servers. I do, however, occasionally get paired with players who are clearly in Asia, given their names and ping.

If you are out of winch range tho sledge just dies. Even if you get winched dash lights can escape if the heavy doesnāt perfectly time a left click quick melee. Mediums have jump pad to get distance. Could be a good thing to introduce something in the HUD to let us know when a teammate is getting revived. In this way we know our other standing teammate is reviving (so heās playing passively, almost AFK) and we can play less aggressively waiting for the 3rd player to get the revive.

I have been looking at the e sport scene and noticed that it is quite hard to track a certain team. I was wondering if it was possible to develop a way to upload icons for teams, of course that would mean that Scotty and June would have to be mute, but since there would be commentators anyway that should be expected. Alongside an icon, actually adding team names would be great as well in spectator mode (like instead of Kingfish for example). In my opinion this would help with decerning competitors.

either introduce a real TDM to the game people can unleash their eveil killing streak or just change the powershift with strict incentives to push the fight on platform. give specific contracts for instance. i join a half game as a heavy ( my main is light ) and push the platform three times just die miserably alone with grenades snipers or lh1 abuse and my teammates and the opponent keep fighting elsewhere. for the 5-6 minutes the platform didnt move an inch from the beginning. im not gonna ressummon , dont care , just gonna put myself a nice coffee while you suffer. come rezz me if you really wish to win, ofc 2 minutes left everyone leaves the group. what did you achieve?

Why can't i see the community event progress bar in-game anymore for the Iseul-t Trendplate since the new update? And if it ended, i didn't get it, even tho i contributed. AND YET it ended with 4 days on it!
All I want right now is to have LTMs like Smoking Guns, Steal the Spotlight again.
Halloween event got me excited to play even tho the wheel made playing the game like a chore.
2-3 LTMs through season (one LTM at the end of season) seems good minimum.
I know they are focusing LTMs as World Tour thing now, but that's so lame to me. It doesn't get me excited to play the game since I mostly play Power Shift or Bank It, so I don't even play WT nor QC often throughout the season.
And it's not like free rewards have been having very unique clothing models (excluding Halloween event). It's mostly just recolors of existing clothing with maybe additional effect to them and I don't mind it as long as it's not some sticker or spray or emoticon.
I just like completing challenges, getting rewarded while playing any mode with some twist time to time. I feel like that's what missing from the game.
- It's just good mid-season advertisement (like when opening Steam and it shows new updates and sales from random games) that might bring new players in.
P.S. also damage indication has still been huge issue. Sometimes you can't tell where you're being shot from and some friends who are new to game have told me that it's been a frustrating to play cause of that. Even tho I don't mind it as much, but sometimes I feel the same as them

Because that was a bug in S3 TA too. Some people would get permanent sonar effect and you could see them across the map at all times.
Just had a game of TA where the enemy team knew where we were at all times.
Then, randomly, one of our teammates could suddenly see everyone on the enemy team.
And then the game became incredibly easy.

Bless your heart if you think this is copium when you cant play distance from a melee weapon because the invisible hitbox is extended way further than the weapon.

This would not be the first time that such a thing exists in the world of gaming. Warframe's 'TennoGen' is one of the best examples of having the community be involved in the creative process. This engagement's potential is virtually limitless and invaluable for the game's longevity and community. It can be further sustained by giving the creator(s) a chance to be awarded through a variety of ways, in combination or merely by themselves:

quite this game a couple of weeks ago. went to the patch notes website to see if they balanced any weapons over the last couple of updates. and only 2-4 weapons got balance changes. and its the same weapons the model, xp, sword, and pike lmao. glad they abandoned the burst pistol and also glad i quite this dogshit game. sad to see people slurp the 20 dollar skin slop every week.

This game really needs to fix that when you throw something and you die right after it should still register that thing you threw and not just disappear into thin air. Its making throwing knives almost impossible to use. Soon as i through my killing shot i get killed and my throwing knives dont register. Same thing with pyro granade, frag, or any other gadget/ weapon that involves being thrown.

make glitch nades explode on impact and give xp54 2 more bullets to make up for the damage per mag that was lost with the dps nerf. also, revert the goo changes. goo gun/goo nade aren't even meta, why remove so much of the little use they used to have? lets, instead, nerf charge n' slamm by adding damage ramp up so you don't immediately deal insane damage, as well as adding a grunt BEFORE the charge starts. the mesh shield cooldown should probably be reduced even more to bring mesh back at least a little bit.
also, reduce plug money and increase wipe penalty slightly.
FIX YOUR FUCKING SPAWNS NOW. If I still hold a cashout I EXPECT TO SPAWN NEAR IT. Plus I expect in general not to spawn 150 meters from ANY cashout. 60-70 meters is fair.

Im so sick of dying to the same light loadout, they taze you out of invisible, then empy the M11 mag on you from behind. It might be not overpowered but its incredibly frustrating to play against. I cant even get myself to play the 3 quick play quest to finish dailies at this point.

Powershift is still the shittyest game mode just barely over TA
- Do not touch the AKM, it's fine with 32 bullets.
- Nerf Charge n' Slam
- Nerf defibs. Multiple defibs on one team is ridiculously annoying to play against. Turns a 3v3 into a 3v6 if it's MMM and each are running defibs.
- Slightly decrease KS-23 empty reload time.
- Decrease the carry limit on grenades to 1, decrease damage, or add a grenade indicator. All of these could solve the mindnumbing grenade spam that occurs as soon as a fight begins.
- Add a lil bit of recoil to the FAMAS. The fact that you don't have to adjust at all is kinda crazy.
- Switch demat to light or decrease a charge.
Someone is gonna get mad at me. This is just my opinion on what should be done, chill.

Remove the KS23's random spread so it operates like the other shotguns, and give it enough arena damage to 2-shot walls.
some weapons should be nerfed or buffed but what we really need is to figure out how to counter, some stuff shouldnt be touched but but if enough people complain it will be changed, i believe the xp was perfectly fine the way it was and same with the m11, not everything should be nerfed or buffed
Putting cash box in rewards need to be reduced as the game goes on (i'd like them removed but i know that isn't happening).
30% of the final cash box is like capturing the first cash box in the old system. Winning hte first 2 cashouts basically means nothing if the final dropping in a box gives you so much reward.
I know the devs collected metrics and made the games "more even" with the cashbox insertion but I'm not sure even is the metric that makes sense towards a fun game. Its not fun when you are performing well 2/3rds of the game and some random third party walks away with the cashbox and wins. Clutching a steal is fun, defending cashout is fun. Picking up a box and putting in the box is not the fun part of the game
There's a op wall glitch with the Sonar Grenades. Not sure if the team is aware. I believe i know what causes it but when the right combination happens, the team that the sonar picks up becomes visible for the whole match. Doesn't matter were they are, they can be seen.
Demat is fine unless you want medium to get walls back then yeah I'm fine with light having demat sounds far enough lol. Famas needs to do less damage or just buff all the other weapons in the game they have been gradually nerfing over the year me personally I like when everything kills fast it influences teams to use all the tools in their loadout. And makes for a faster pace in a fast pace game. This game has been slowing down so much that most engagements result in a 3v3v3 or a 3v3v3v3 making it rather annoying in competitive games. Most people just grief and stack the cash because they know they will one win off the deposit instead of actually completing the objective correctly and two the fact that most 3v3 results in a 3rd party anyway. I miss season 1 Make The Finals great again!!!
Please rework the way respawning works in tournament and World tour, nobody should spawn next to the vault/cashbox if there is an overtime cashout active

World Tour needs some changes
Make the reward system as in the Ranked. Team in the 7-8 place get nothing, the 5-6 place get 2 poinst for trying, team 3-4 gets 8 poinst becouse 6 poins is not enough when we have total 2400 points, team on the second place gets 18 and first place gets 28 points.
I think it's more fair considering how much time it takes to win the tournament and win the rounds.
Also RPG needs at least 110 or 115 damage. 1 RPG rocket can kill 8 people irl come on

I go to play WT solo and my team start missing a player! I leave and read a message saying "YOU WILL NOT BE PENALIZED" as your team is already missing a player. Then I am back at the menu and I am still stuck with reconnect and leave. I leave and I get 10 minutes penalty. WTH!

what if we added another mode but it chose a random natural diasaster of 5 like: Tornado which destroys buildings and picks up players and throws them, earthquake that destroys a bunch of stuff, snowstorm which slows down your movement and makes u less vissible, thunder storm which reduces visibility and lighting strikes in random places, and tsunami which temporily floods the map with water
That's a great idea but given the map layout that we currently have, tsunami would be difficult thing to add. Also considering that it may be sensitive to Japanese players for obvious reasons.

I still don't get why stun is a thing in this game. Horrible addition that only makes people rage. It is not effective enough for lights but makes it so the stunned person can't move, which is counter to a FPS game. I don't care enough to say "Take it out of the game". It still is very f-ing annoying not being able to move though. If you get stunned with more than the one enemy close by it is almost guaranteed to be a death for you. Why do the devs think screwing up the FPS play is a good idea?

Why is it next to impossible to aim the R.357 I feel there should definitely be some kind of adjustment so I donāt cover my whole screen with one shot and so I can see where the iron sights are aiming (I do worse with the red dot cause it feels to far away from the gun)
Is there a feature request channel somewhere? I think the team score in the top left should have an indicator of how many team members are alive, so you don't have to check the scoreboard to track revives and such.

Performance on Xbox has gotten a lot worse this update, feels like 40-50fps a lot of the time
Honestly provide ranked restrictions for halve the weapons so we can at least have a fair chance in winning instead of going against top 250 sweats and married couples holding hands with bows. Swords, snipers, and all new weapons that was introduced after season 1 should be restricted. Stacking is another issue in the game with sitting in corners and manning 6 turrets and 30 other teams coming to one cashout.

Please add a grace thing for teams who lost a teamate in ranked. If my teamate rages out or has a bad connection I shouldn't be penalized for that.

Shotguns should not have 100% hipfire accuracy while running/jumping thats why they are so strong right now, no other weapons has 100% hipfire accuracy while jumping arround like a monkey

This game has some of the worst matchmaking I've ever experienced in a PVP game. I really like the gameplay but please for heaven's sake get the matchmaking under control. You lose a lot more than you win and you get the feeling that if you don't play meta weapons you'll just get a hard time.

Reduce the amount of money lost for 2 man teams in ranked by 10%. A team off 2 should only lose 20% since it's harder for them to do much even with the decreased spawn timer. I don't mean for teams where someone disconnects mid match but the teams that don't have a 3rd from the get go.

When you only have 3 classes you need low skill floor specs if you want a casual playerbase. OW could afford to have Genji/Tracer because it had 20+ heroes, some of which were as basic as can be.
Besides, Dash has a pretty high skill ceiling, certainly the highest of all specs. Grapple is up there too.
Tbh I still maintain that the health disparity is the root of all these issues* and that some minor adjustments would make everything so much better. But that would require changes to so much of the game.
L being a glass cannon necessitates burst damage which has clearly always been a massive problem for casuals.
*this goes for Heavy being the least played (despite the most victorious) because itās slow and fat, too
Once again proposing Medals such as those found in Halo which give bonus scores and are displayed at the end of match and in our statistics page, they'd be a nice touch and dopamine hit when players get them through non-standard combat means or makea clutch play. some examples-
Avenger; Eliminate an enemy who has eliminated an ally within 5 seconds of eliminating them (+25 Combat Score)
Clean Sweep; Eliminate all members of an opposing team within 10 seconds (+100 Combat Score)
Hero; Revive a teammate while You're last man standing (+50 support score)
Guardian; Awarded for every 300 damage blocked by Barricades, Mesh and Dome Shields, Goo and Riot Shields, but can only be rewarded once every 10 seconds (+50 support score)

Make a specialization to make a frozen path like frozone, can be used to gain big momentum with sliding. Easy way to go from high to low ground, persists for awhile so allies+enemies can use it. Maybe heavy specialization?

the issue is how much value you get for having such a low skill floor. also, dash skill ceiling literally doesnt matter because after a certain point, your opponents will just be able to track you in dash. this is why dash is terrible. all of lights specs are hard countered by the enemy playing well. which is the issue with light. its why light is so op in casual and so useless in competitive. the usefulness of light is directly tied to the skill of the enemies, regardless of the users skill. further balance changes to lights weapons are only dancing around this issue instead of fixing it and balancing off of better designed specs.

B. Rush OBJ
C. Shoot & Dash (shoot & dash into cover, rinse & repeat (think jett dash valorant, only prevalent with sluggy weapons - LH1/SR84/Bow ranged, DB/M26 cqb))
again this is all mitigated by 150 in competent lobbies, light as a whole needs a revision to not be dogshit high elo 3v3v3v3 lobbies, and not OP in any new player lobbies

we need to rework light though because high elo lobbys absolutley destroy them i play light in high elo and its very difficult to play with the other classes meduims can take our health in about 2 seconds and with famas i cant even react so we need a health buff on light to make it more playable or do something like buff light weapons i get that lights dominate lower elo and casual but high elo we don't stand a chance so please try to rework other classes and light to make it all balanced and more playable so we can contest to meduim ars or heavys lmg or shotguns and nerf charge bec 130 dmg is way to much for a charge and it takes lights health down all the way it auto kills them with one bullet and charge which takes no skill and no light is not op it may be in low lobbies but it is bad against high skill players that hit every shot so please lets have a conversation and consider buffing/reworking the light class and maybe other classes

Tracer dash is a blink. Itās instant, hence why it doesnāt have this issue. Also, the specs of light arenāt inherently selfish because light still serves a role in the team. Lights specs are designed to keep the light alive so that the light can continue to provide pressure for their team to capitalize on, as well as having extremely teamplay oriented gadgets.
Also, being inherently selfish wouldnāt even excuse being poorly designed. Your mention of tracer is no different, tracer functions very very similar to an m11 dash light, but with the difference of being well designed. Go in, apply pressure to a single target to either force their team to collapse on them or to secure a kill, then your team capitalizes off of the pressure you put on the enemy team. Tracer does all of this but her movement option is actually well designed. And sheās one of the best balanced heroes in all of overwatch. No reason why we canāt see this in this game.

Yea that was my point regarding blink v dash. Light specs are selfish but that doesnāt mean they donāt still serve a purpose that ultimately helps the team.
Ultimately though I donāt believe this is the crux of the issue with Light. Even at ELOs in which dash and grapple cannot be reliably tracked it struggles to find a place. You could rework* all 3 and the issue remains that if someone lands just a pitifully few good shots, itās dead. It would still benefit least from the natural team synergy that the other classes enjoy.
*this is also highly unlikely to happen
Disregarding competitive, another problem is that light and especially dash are already complained about majorly by casuals. Implement superior specs and they will simply have to nerf elsewhere to accommodate this. This is why I think a health boost (+ a spec boost) and a damage nerf are necessary, alongside other gamewide changes.

@upper citrus in casuals most players canāt even shoot mid-dash. They take at least a moment to reorientate. And if they do shoot theyāre not besting the accuracy of their opponent. Blink would be far worse for the average player to deal with.
The specs are insanely useful in casual, hence why theyāre complained about. A blink is harder to use than a dash you can shoot during, which is why I said the low skill floor is an issue. Dash terrorizes casual players because its value is dependent off of the skill of the enemy, which is low in casual lobbies. Reworking this to be based off of the skill of the user would fix this issue entirely. Not just direct buffs

Posting a lot in here lately, more than usual, but I think Frag Grenades need a nerf, they're relatively easy to react to when used from closer ranges but when thrown from afar indicators wouldn't really help despite the common opinion and desire for grenade indicators, However frag grenades are a damage gadget first and foremost and should retain that aspect so another alternate nerf might be ideal, the same sort that brought glitch traps in line.
An example;
Reduce Ammo count from 2 to 1
Reduce Cooldown from 20s to 12s
This reduces the intial frag grenade spam when a fight starts but retains their role and function as a secondary damage source, helping reel the the frag grenades in to be useful while also less frustrating to face vollies of 4-6 grenades before a fight starts.

another suggestion bc apparently there's a 30min cooldown here (???): disable steals at the very end of the cashout bc if you start stealing and there's not enough time to, you're just wasting your time for no reason - why make it an option when there isn't enough time to steal anyway

It would be insane if you just stack healing with body blocking to just take it as much as you can and if they die you can just steal the rest because they gotta reload.
Making it sure you either have a sledge heavy or something with insane AoE reliable damage.
And even if you use something like charge and slam to knock them away they can just walk back up to it and cap it still.
Makes it so that if you had the mind to wait and time the steal and interrupt at the last second becomes worthless as well as the clutch moments of stopping someone just before they cap it.

Game is unplayably laggy regularly. Try to open door? Full second delay. Shoot someone? Minimum 500ms delay until damage is applied.
Slide jumping either rubber bands be back to the ground, or causes me to immediately lose all momentum mid air. Try to slide jump off a roof? Be flying through the air, only to teleport straight downwards a moment later as if I had just walked off the roof.

Heavy needs C4 back. Idc abt nukes, ig they shouldnt exist, but buff C4 up again in destruction. Then give rpg a destruction buff. And more destrcution gadgets.
Becasue light got thermal bore, breach charge buff, and stuff, so its not real fun anymore to use heavy, i can just do that with light.
And plus, lights need teamplay related stuff in their arsenal so they can be useful to the team and play support and obj as well.
This way lights AND heavies will be brought back into the competitive team compositions, and my dream of HML meta will be fullfilled
C4 is a good pick still, but a little cooldown buff wouldn't hurt.
lights excede at playing support (in terms of being able to grab statues and revive) I often have more revives than most of the mediums with defibs I play with. Light also excedes at defending the cashout, as long as he doesn't get greedy and takes every fight and attempts to finish all of them. That's the kicker there at the end, most lights are greedy and just want kills because lights are good at dealing damage. Just because barely anyone plays light they way they were intended doesn't mean they can't

basically missed all of s4, played 2 games where every other team was a stack of guys who had 5x the wins as me. I've played every season till now, kind of casually. I have ~500 wins. Enemy spawns don't take into account the game state and player positions. Why can the team I just wiped spawn on top of my team when all three of us are still running to the cashout? And also there have been far too many instances where my team is defending our own cashout and when we get wiped we will spawn at the other cashout even though we still own the cashout we were defending. And then obviously we lose the cashout because we spawned 160+ metres away

Please buff the dual blades. I suggest removing the 50/50,60/60,70 combo and replacing it with flat 55/55 damage slashes, it fixes the light and heavy breakpoints without touching medium ttk (Which is fine though struggles with Model). And or improve the swing speed by 5-15% to decrease the ttk. A 2-5% momentum buff would be great too so we have a chance of sticking on enemies. This would include sprinting/walking but sliding too. Buff their range
Make it so dagger can use its old heavy attack where it attacks immediately and allow it to also have its present heavy attack where you hold it down. Best of both worlds and that way everyone is happy

there is counterplay for everything. positioning beneficial before getting stunned. throwing goo while stunned⦠there are many things that are annoying but most of them are able to play around when using your brain. the game got significantly harder and you cant play without brain anymore at least in non casual modes. triple medium defib and general imbalance between classes is way more problematic than anything and should get adressed first.

matchmaking time in ranked is like 10-15 minutes in these days, its only me or what? and when i found one is most of the time a lobby of top 500 cheater and the game is laggy/delayed, kinda frustrating

I would say a nerf, shouldn't do 130 in the first hit, shouldn't lock you in place by pushing you ever second, shouldn't be able to slam for 200hp regardless of height the slam was initiated. Heavy has enough high damage weapons and gadgets
First parts for Nock above me: Keep in mind you have to be atleast 2 maybe 2.5 meters and land all your pellets if a light is getting that close to you they deserve to land them same thing goes to people who use Melee weapons

Just the way lights can grab statues and revive fast, heavies can place barricades and domes to defend while reviving. Saves ur skin plenty of times.
And i honestly don't see how lights can ever defend cashouts as good as other classes. If u mean trying to dish out damage and keep them at bay with their guns, as in just firing at them, even meds and heavies can do that, no big deal.
The reason why most ppl dont play lights with teamplay is becuase they just don't have that kind of gadget or spec in their arsenal. The whole model of the light is messed up imo. Each class should help ur team in some way. Lights can't. They were somehow not intended for that.
The finals is a teamwork-based game and needs good obj play. Lights really dont have much to do in this case and therefore aren't selected in competitive that much.
Plus, most light mains are still acting greedy usually, compared to med and heavy mains, so the prob's still there.

right now light as a class has some very good team util think gateway, glitch nades, vanish bomb to an extent or even stun if its used well. the main problem comes with how light is played by most people, they see it as a kill class. it is to a point but in any team fight its job is to either find an isolated pick or do a lot of damage from an off angle and reposition. most of the problem is how people play it not what util it actually has. lights arnt used in ranked because people arnt super coordinated like they would be in scrims or pro play. an HML comp isnt rare at least in the NA scene and thats bc when used right light is very good. but for normal players especially casuals its annoying bc it feels like they just beam u and u cant do anything but in most situations its you not playing the situation properly that gets you killed rather than light being OP (its not). but in something like a quick cash you dont want to play properly and when a sweaty light comes around it feel like shit bc they r acting like its the last round of a ranked tournament when they r really just coping abt how they cant win in ranked or world tour so they have to sweat in quick cash. light could definitely do with some extra team util but its in a state where its just hard to balance bc what works for the casuals makes it useless in high level play and what works in high level play would mostly make it super oppressive in casual play.

All I want for christmass is a better private match experience. We tried it yesterday for some 3v3 with friends and had a ton of fun. However the system is super duper barebones, assigning teams apparently is done by teaming up before joining the private match, thats very cumbersome ofcourse. So being able to assign teams, changing the gamemode, add modifiers (like assigning map variants and events). Also adding more gamemodes would be nice, like some of the LTM modes like solo bankit from earlier seasons.

Glitch traps that can glitch them and prevent them to getting away(If dash or grapple)
Mines that can lock off areas. Goo that do the same.
Combine the aforementioned glitch with the turret and it will beam a light into the respawn screen.
A shield that can block all meaningful shots, a sword that can can do the same with reduced damage and potentially killing them in return.

I know all of that, I accept all of that but they can 2 tap a heavy. what you're describing is interplay between classes which is perfectly fine except there is none if a hard to hit, quick and deadly target runs up on you (as a heavy) and just 2 taps you. It wasn't balanced when a medium could 2 tap a medium with a shotgun, it's not balanced when a light can 2 tap a heavy. I suggest at the bare minimum it can only do 310/320 damage so a quick melee is required (or 1 or 2 shots from a team mate). They have to get within quick melee distance anyway so either a second more in combat to secure an elim or a call that the heavy is 1 would be balance. They only buffed this weapon because it was useless and nobody used it, it needs adjusting. Any weapon but in particular shotguns require nothing but holding the w key and hitting 1 or 2 shots, it's braindead behavior and it was awful when mediums were doing it, same with lights. As for interplay that might work in quickcash or other modes but in ranked you can't switch your kit to balance the situation, it's a dice roll whether there's a light running this gun in the lobby. 2 shots on a heavy is too much no matter what counter measures could possibly be employed

This would not be the first time that such a thing exists in the world of gaming. Warframe's 'TennoGen' is one of the best examples of having the community be involved in the creative process. This engagement's potential is virtually limitless and invaluable for the game's longevity and community. It can be further sustained by giving the creator(s) a chance to be awarded through a variety of ways, in combination or merely by themselves:

Goo Gun provides decent fortification, traversal, and even mid-combat utility but itās still lacking compared to every other Spec.
Tweaking its numbers will do little to change this; what it really needs is an alt fire for a secondary purpose.
This provides a perfect opportunity to address the problem of Heavy being the least-played class due to it being slow and thus considered unfun.
Thematically, producing a slick goo trail on the floor would work. Making this a sticky slow for enemies might make the most sense however that would be unfun for them and not particularly enjoyable for the Heavy either.
Instead, have it induce a slide at 1.25x speed. This would have both practical and fun purposes, as well as being usable by friend and foe. Make it 8m in length, 15-20s in duration, with a 20 ammo cost and 30s cooldown. Hold alt fire for 1.5s to produce.

i feel although goo gun is fun and useful it doesnt feel like a specialisation and more like a gadget.
Currently goo gun takes up a specialisation slot in replacement of mesh shield/winch claw or charge and slam. currently the goo gun doesn't fulfil e replacement for that and feels more like a stun gun or a tracking dart.
i think experimenting with the goo gun as a gadget and a competitor to goo grenade may allow it to show its value in a more versatile light

Please can we adjust cashbox spawns? Just lost a match because we spawned 150M away from a cash out we owned on a random cashbox with less than a minute on the clock. Only cashout running too. This isnāt the first time this has happened either and itās always frustrating, especially when other spawn locations are definitely closer and not occupied.
You can shoot through them, you missed and the guy died before your cross hair was even aiming at him

Maybe they should remove classes altogether. Having characters with different HP and movement speed is the source of this game's balancing issues. How do you even balance lights coz in high ranks they are apparently useless but in quick play they are a major problem for newbies and low skill players. So how do the devs solve both problems simultaneously?
Some C4 changes to give it greater utility and to bring back nukes with all the fun but none of the OP frustration:
- Add strong knockback to epicentre
- Cooldown: 30s ā 25s
- Revert flight nerfs when on canister
- Increase explosion radius by 100% per C4 attached to canister
Ė Remove all DMG when on canister
Adding knockback by default would elevate it beyond a simple tool of destruction/damage. It would provide Heavy some much needed fun & mobility at the expense of immense health loss, giving it great value outside of combat and a further niche use mid-combat. It would also help thematically differentiate it from Breach Charge.
Nukes were prominent in promotional material for good reason: they were great fun to use & showcased the unique capabilities of this game. But they were disastrous for game balance.
Bringing them back but having them deal zero damage would be a positive. Instead have them capable of the best destruction in the game & of team displacement/sending players flying upon precise detonations.
give us more xp boost, don't make the grind this bad next season. feels so bad..... just reverse the XP changes, this leads only to burning out of the game

They aren't necessarily overpowered but annoying sure I agree with that.
We've been going through a shotgun dominated meta for like 4 seasons straight and potentially 5 that I don't blame anyone for hating on every shotgun in the game, OP or not.
You fix this by reworking the specials. Currently every spec on light, besides grapple which is just a bad spec, is hard countered by your enemy just playing the game well. Dash is useless if your opponent is aiming well, cloak is useless if your opponent is good at spotting it.
This is the sole reason for lights performance difference in casual vs competitive. If youāre using an ability that thrives off of bad players? Itās gonna dominate casual and eat shit in competitive.
Lights specs need reworks to give them consistent value based on the skill of the user rather than the skill of the enemy. The fact this game uses semi invis that you can shoot out of in the big ā24 is wild.
Please buff the dual blades. I suggest removing the 50/50,60/60,70 combo and replacing it with flat 55/55 damage slashes, it fixes the light and heavy breakpoints without touching medium ttk (Which is fine though struggles with Model). And or improve the swing speed by 5-15% to decrease the ttk. A 2-5% momentum buff would be great too so we have a chance of sticking on enemies. This would include sprinting/walking but sliding too. Buff their range
can we bring the xp5 back. since they nerfed the damage down to 18 it has been ass. the damage per mag sucks. i want to see it with 18 damage per bullet but with a rpm nerf to keep its ttk from being too high. you really have to hit 75% of all your shots to kill a heavy and if you are at meduim range past the damage drop off start you could hit all your shots and still not kill a heavy. it really needs its damage back bc its one of the worst guns on light rn

This just sounds like you want shotguns removed from the game via over nerfing. Other games donāt do randomized bullet pattern.
tf2; balanced shotguns and clearly an inspiration for the finals. Random bullet spread, but still capable and fun to play with.
Plus, given how long the shotguns have ruled the meta and how uninteractive getting oneshot by a low skill floor weapon I wouldn't be against their overnerfing, just for something new to be meta

after using the bow with the bug for a day, then the hotfix kinda ruining the bow. I genuinely think the bug needs to come back to bow as a feature, it felt very skillful and allowed the weapon to feel more responsive. all it did was slightly increase rpm for follow up shot whenever you shoot a fully charged shot. Implementing this again could be nice, bow needs a little love but not too much

Rework the guardian turret please: make it impossible to select if it's not possible to put it down. Ever since it's been nerfed to only have a random cooldown, it's been annoying to know when it can actually be deployed. It's the only weapon with this handicap of being selectable even when it can't be deployed. Please fix it.
They should really add a fan demand objective to the game like randomly in the match a fan demand will pop up can be UI or pickup based and must be completed to get extra fans. Something like what the blur racing game did or what cod did in ghost with the blue briefcase

its not a random cooldown? the cooldown starts when its destroyed or when you pick it up. you can pick it up either directly or by holding right click with the tablet out. picking it up directly makes the cooldown faster while picking it up with the tablet from a distance gives you a slower cooldown. thats why you're able to hold the tablet to begin with

6 people on a team seems quite excessive imo, not that i mind it, it gets quite fun when you're playing casually with 6 people. mode's like powershift and TA also cap the team size to 5 and it feels like the right amount. though i wouldnt mind 6 people as well, haha. just a preference though.
in order to 2 shot a heavy, a light needs to be right up their behinds. Cloak gives off an auditory cue that I find very hard to miss, especially when they move closer to you. SH1900 doesn't fire its second shot immediately either, so, imo if a light kills a heavy that way, they missed opportunities to avoid this outcome due to awareness issues. Always check your surroundings. I play light as well as the other classes, and if I get one or two shot by SH1900 then yeah, they got me, means I have messed up.
end of round countdown should line up with every game-ending cashout in all modes.
it shouldn't 2 shot, it should require at least a quick melee to secure the elim after 2 shots, every weapon in this game has a similar balance. There's a multitude of examples where a light can get within optimal range with that shotgun that avoids making noise etc and as for it not firing immediately after, it's ttk is still so high about the only thing that might possibly counter the ttk would be an rpg + charge. It's not balanced, someone has already pointed out you can 'counter' it but it doesn't matter because it 2 taps the class that's supposed to have some staying power compared to other classes ie big, slow, packs a punch. It's not balanced.

However, the matchmaking has been broken since Season 2. In Season 3, I hardly played ranked because it was TA, which I detest. I thought you were improving matchmaking for Season 4, but the issue continues.
My matchups make no sense, neither in rank nor in dedication, which is clear when I compare my kills and revives with my teammates. Meanwhile, the other teams have players who should be matched with me, but I'm facing them instead.

I think you overnerfed the Pike, when it was released it was a bit OP and since it was new, everyone wanted to use it. First nerf it was still popular but now after nerf 2, I never see someone use it. I try to like it but it feels so inferior to the FCAR.
New it was 59Dmg, then 52Dmg now 47Dmg.

Surviving is not free. The weapon has a mag of 2 shots, I'd call that high risk high reward. When a CL40 catches a light off-guard they very often just die. If a sledge catches a light off-guard they also often die. When done right, of course. Whenever I play, I pay close attention to surrounding foot steps, cloak sounds and the cloak visual itself. Getting the jump on others is what usually secures an elimination for light, I would argue. I get that it can be annoying but I very much disagree with your claim of SH1900 being unbalanced. I have killed plenty of SH1900 users as Light, Medium and Heavy and been killed plenty by all classes when using it myself. When I manage to kill a Heavy with 2 shots with SH1900 it is bc they are distracted or have awareness issues, you need the correct scenario and timing. This elimination would either fall on the Heavy that got killed or their team for not detecting and taking care of said player, preventing them getting to their Heavy. If you're having issues with cloak users specifically you could invest one slot for motion sensors. A nerf would hit SH1900 hard and it already is, as much as I have heard, a very obscure weapon pick. Anyway, this is how I see it. I doubt this will convince you in any way, so this will be my closing statement I guess. Still hoping you're enjoying your next rounds in the game.
On a different note, Throwing Knives should also get some sort of mag that needs to be reloaded. It feels too easy to just spam these things. I barely play the weapon and have a very easy time killing Heavy specifically. I don't claim to know what the mag size should be but TK having to be careful when to shoot would make the weapon more fair and fun for the user themselves and the opponents imo. I imagine TK users taking their knives out of a little bag or smth.

yall are thinking about it too pessimistically. playing against mediums is a telltale sign that they're going to try to res a body. make a mental note of where their teammates are and you'll automatically have "recon" on where their team is. they're going to play the res game, so just wait for them to show. place a glitch mine or two if you got mediums too. have heavies camp bodies, have lights flank the res. it's not that bad

So far the gun balance seems ok and Iād rather categories of weapon types than tons of weapons that all end up nerfed into being the same anyway. Add a P90 as a skin for the lightās MP5 and a Kriss Vector for the Uzi. Give me a fire ax skin for the heavyās hammer and so on. New attachments to unlock would be more interesting.
i dunno what your problem is, they almost never can track me, i just kill it first, you should take more angles man. i have 0 problems with that, and i couldn't care less if they delete it tbh, i never use it. dematerialiser all the way for me. i'm saying way back from the beta that lights should have 200 hp, but nerfed dash, stun gun, and m11 at least. rn after all of the M and H nerfs they are overpowered AF. I can pick light, get 10+ kills game every time no problem at all, but it's not my style and hard to win if you are not the one who defends the point.

This issue extends beyond tactical helmets; it also affects items like beanies with headphones, the Spirited Vixen headwear, the Hazard Duty headwear, Descartes' Demon headwear, the Gunsmoke bandana facewear, the Holtow coverage headwear, the Golden Kitsune facewear, and many others.
The solution? Common sense:
- Move all glasses to a new category that allows for mixing headwear, eyewear, and facewear, improving greatly contestant customization.
- Create a separate category for headphones, enhancing customization options.
- Break up headwear/facewear sets into individual items, further expanding customization.
- Reevaluate certain sets, like the Golden Kitsune facewear (which currently uses the ninja cowl facewear).
Contestant customization is far from GTA Online level, but it can be better?

I play Power Shift, where turrets are more common. If you hit a dash pad above the platform, flying 90MPH above for a split second, no human can react or track but turret can.
I flank behind, no human is looking but turret is! Building breaks, rubble falls, no human can see through it but turret can! Fire? Nice, humans can't see me behind this. Oh wait, turret is perfectly tracking me.
Remember I have 150HP, you probably often have more. So turret might not be as much of a problem for you.
Shotguns should not have 100% hipfire accuracy while running/jumping thats why they are so strong right now, no other weapons has 100% hipfire accuracy while jumping arround like a monkey

Heavy ability- DRILL SHOT (idk maybe another name)
Rocket launcher shooting cannon-like shot which bores through a few walls and decreases damage to players each time it goes through a wall. It can hit players and bring them along with it to pin them, one shotting a light. On impact with a wall where a player is pinned, only that wall will break, the shot will not continue. The ability will recharge every 45 seconds or so.
Heavy weapon- some sort of sniper, idk
Heavy gadget- GOO MINE
Traps players in goo, but makes a cocoon around them too, forcing them to shoot their way out. Would support pyro grenade.
Recon senses rework- RECON FLARE
This will be a flare gun working similarly to the thermal bore or dart gun, flying into the air and arcing down, revealing enemies under it. It can also be shot into a building like a sonar grenade.
This would also do damage and light things on fire.
Medium weapon- some sort of auto shotgun, idk
Medium gadget- BOMB DRONE
The medium launches a flying drone which goes up before flying straight into a player and blowing up, also releasing cluster bombs. If no player is found, the drone will fall from the sky and potentially blow up the player.

Ive been running a pretty nut strat that I wanna find counters to so I can adapt ahead of time.
Two Lights running Thermal Vis and Smoke, one of them needs to run Thermal Bore, last light gadget is optional but we really like running gateway.
One Heavy running some sort of close range weapon, dome and w/e other gadgets they like.
Strat goes, knock the cash down two levels, smoke it out and steal with heavy. The two lights can usually melts everyone who jumps down or comes into the smoke. We've been slowly adapting and adding more strats like using claw to drag the cash into the smoke, or using gateway to drop smokes in the area before going in and merking everyone. Only one counter so far but it's not used that much. I used to think gas grenades but they arent enough for the heavy + mesh shield, and if they use a gas they cant drop down to protect so ppl dont do that often, thanks for feedback :]

The White VAIIYA Balaclava that was shown in the pro-circuit image in S2 we got the fiery photon lens and the VAIIYA anti-virus mask but not the balaclava
The VAIIYA Anti-virus mask is also incompatible with things like balaclavas and Headphones even although the hazard duty helmet is literally the Anti-virus mask with echoguards and a fucking balaclava
Makes even less sense when you consider the duskvane mask is compatible with headphones
