The cl-40 and pike have made triple M even more oppressive than it already was. I'm only in silver and all I see is triple M stacks with CL-40,pike, and famas or ak. It's literally unplayable, mainly due to the fact that CL-40 has essentially 0 counter play. Aps got nerfed so it can't even block ONE MAG. And rushing them to punish the splash damage doesn't work because they take basically no damage from their own explosions. This is EXACTLY why an ON IMPACT grenade launcher should never do more than 95 damage in this game in my opinion. Not to mention that most people in this game are wierd and will run 2 or 3 of them on a team. It's the most skill less gun in the game at the moment and it needs to go back to how it was in season 3.

Leveling up specialization is boring imo.. Not much reward than a few stickers and charms. Why not make hitting lvl 5 (or make new lvl 6) reward you with an intro that interacts with your specialization...? For example you are holding your heal beam and it shoots one of your teammates on intro, or the light is waving bye and slowly becomes invisible?

+1 on the ranking system, I think teams that are premade with 2 or 3 players should receive bonus points for the seeding compared to the solo q players. Around 30k you get 2 unlucky teammates and you lose 1,2k. To regain it you need to win 1 normal tournament or 2 easy ones, not fun.

spear was poorly implemented. its normal attack is fine? i guess, stabbing feels inconsistent i feel bc of the precision you have to have, while all the other melee feel more like a swinging motion. i think if the spears secondary was a retrievable throwable itd feel alot better to use and be able to compete

Yeah, though I main Light, I liked to play CL every now and then myself too. It was fun to outsmart ppl by combining your regular shots with mines and other grenades, like to lure them into traps to overpower them. The CL40 changes should be reverted imo, it was fine before. A weapon like the CL should not be a standard-pick, I think.
please do a correlation analysis of aimbot reports to controller users. I suspect it is highly correlated and indicative of aimassist is over tuned
The different attacks deal different amounts of damage. The first hit does 65, second does 80, final hit does 90. Then the animation resets (this is for the left click)

I pick my class based on what the others play + the map, it's frustrating to not be able to do that AND be assigned to a losing team halfway through the last cashout...
I think the best way to fix triple Medium is to limit the amount of people that can use the class in a team (2 per). Or, instead of limiting the class, limit the abilities in that class (again, 2 per).

Agree, kind of. It is a hard one to do, because you want people to play premades (look at the current family friends etc. event), but in the same time, 3 stacks are in an insane advantage, and that is something i dislike, but, it is something in every ranked system. You cannot really do anything against it, as you cannot penaltize people for playing together.
There is just no answer to it, no real way to "balance" it.

Iām starting to think that, given the prevalence of cheaters, weapons that ātake a lot of skill to use and reward thatā by having really low ttk, just give cheaters even more of an advantage and shouldnāt be in PvP games anymore. Mechanical skill should be a much lower component of success in PvP games, decision making, creativity, positioning, teamwork, planning, prioritizing, etc cetera should be what determines the winners because they donāt sell hacks for that shit.

Iād recommend implementing a class limit to ranked given how toxic 3 mediums are to play against and given that 3 lights or heavies is basically throwing, so thereād be no experimentation lost out.

To address the defib problem I present a potential solution.
(Ranked only) Defib will not be able to charge unless you are close enough to the player trophy. Similar to stealing a cashout or a hard revive (without defib). The difference is the time required to revive is cut in half when you have a defib. It will make hitting a defib a much more compromising move and will force better positioning and make it much more difficult to do durring a gunfight. Thoughts?.......

The game has real trouble (its crashes) when you alt tab which is a big problem if you want to use other apps like spotify or discord at the same time dont know if im the only one having this problem but please react to this if you have similar problems

@torpid sky APS is not fine, it has like a 1% pick rate right now, it's useless and gets destroyed within 2 seconds of putting one down now. It should not destroy c4/breaches or mines, and it should have more health/charges, like 8

Greatly increase the lifetime of APS turrets (reduce or remove the projectile limit) but decrease the rate at which it can shoot down projectiles and blacklist it from removing mines.
The issues with previous APS I think didnāt actually stem from the infinite lifetimeāit was the total shutdown of projectiles with a single gadget. With a rate limit, explosive weapons and grenades could still be utilized with some strategy even against someone sitting within the APS radius.

I recently started to play the game and i really love it, however one thing i struggle with is colorblindnes, specifically for the color red and red tones (orange, yellow and certain browns) this makes Enemey outlines, items really hard if not borderline impossible to see and certain maps like Sandstorm Las Vegas is not playable for me as i cannot see a single thing. So i wanted to ask if thereās any plans on a more fleshed out variant of the Colorblind setting or a setting where u can choose the colors for the HUD urself on top of the filter as opposed to just the HUD or if its not a priority atm? Love the Game and having alot of fun playing with my friend and i will continue to support it and i hope one day a thing like this could be implemented

CL40 IS A SERIOUSLY BREAKING THE GAME!!!!
I HAVE NEVER BEEN AGAINST ANY WEAPON OR ANY EMBRAK'S DECISIONS, BUT THIS IS EXTREMELY BROKEN!
1 team was running 3 mediums with 3 defibs and 3 CL40 and 2 turrets and 1 heal!!! there was no effing way you could team-wipe them. Every time you kill one, you're already very low, he gets revived instantly, and you die in the next second. If you're a bit close to your teammate, that a death sentence.
This is taking away all the strategy, all accuracy, all organization, and all skill.
But instead you can face tank a fucking RPG, of course that makes sense of course
Also reminder that the CL40 does 130 damage on direct hit while the RPG only does 100 now
Holy shit it's time to nerf the CL40 into the ground before it kills the game, the extremely high damage + lack of self damage makes it way too easy to use, especially at close ranges.
Just played a ranked match with only 2 CL40s and they completely broke the match, needless to say they won because you can't outdamage them at close range even if you'd be able to hit every one of your inferior "regular weapon" shots.

It's too easy to use right now, mainly because of the fact you don't need a decent aim, it does a shitload of damage and you can shoot at your own feet while barely taking any damage. How am I put into a lobby, that is apparently "intermediate", which has 5 diamonds that are stacked lol. You can't just through in 2 silvers and golds and then call it a day. What kind of match making is that? And if you dropped out first round you lose 1.9K, but if you win you barely get 900?? Like what????

yes, but it was 4 shots heavy, now it's 3. Plus, it's a nade, so it has splash damage around where it hits. The max damage was a radius of 9cm around the spot, and the damage falls outside of it. The max damage radius has now become 30cm! Making it way easier to hit targets, and way easier to deal max damage to multiple targets.
3x the radius of the explosion resulting in 9x the volume it covers. thats an insane area

I think it would be cool if you could change your crosshair individually for every weapon
for the dematerializer, you should be able to hold down left mouse button to choose up to 3 pieces of the building for one charge, and just clicking will dematerialize one singular piece of the building, like how fortnite's edit mode works. although increasing the range on the dematerializer fixes the fact that dematerializer could not fully dematerialize a floor or ceiling, it definitely does not help when trying to escape with a dematerializer as that just makes it harder to fully close the hole that you dematerialized.

The current lottery pick system is a bit dated with new players going against experienced, or meta slaves.
The average joe should have a few reliable loadouts.
1 bad gadget can ruin a loadout or cost the game, so I understand why people would want to change in the first place but I agree with @slender oasis it be nice if weapons stayed locked.
Until players are able to unlock EVERYTHING The Finals has to offer.

So my challenges seem to be kinda bugged. I got the challenge for killing 5 people with gadgets after killing 1 guy. My fire damage from the flamer doesnt count. Fire nade kill ticks dont count, only DoTs. There are probably more that I am missing, but this fire challenge is annoying everything out of me, its my last
you can thank all the vaginas hiding in the crane for this. It is by far one of the most garb weapons in the game, lowest dps. Id be fine with the drop if i couldnt eliimate everyone from across the map with the pike. It doesnt make any sense lol.

However, the matchmaking has been broken since Season 2. In Season 3, I didn't play much ranked because it was TA, and I detest that game mode. I thought that during that season, meaning Season 3, you were working on the matchmaking to have something decent for Season 4, but I see that this issue continues from Season 2.
My matchups make no sense, neither in terms of rank nor in terms of the dedication to the game, which is evident when I compare my number of kills and revives with those of my teammates. And when I look at the other teams, they are with the people who should be matched with me, but instead, I'm playing against them.
I'm saying all this from the perspective of someone who plays solo, without a team. When can we expect improvements in matchmaking for solo players? Seriously, we've been like this since Season 2, it's very frustrating.
Note: I've even had people on my team who said in chat that they were playing ranked for "fun" in the sense of playing "quick play." This is a bad joke.
Note 2: I don't mind if it takes longer to find a game as long as it improves the current experience. I'd rather wait more than 2 minutes or however long it takes than wait 10 seconds and end up with a team with zero skill.
Note 3: Do not use the excuse of not changing the matchmaking in the middle of a season when you make buffs and nerfs to weapons, gadgets, etc., which also affect the game in the middle of the season. You have had enough time to do something about it.

Can you add a feature to select multiple of your favorite skins on a gun and then have them randomize between rounds/matches? There's so many good skins that I have and I wanna just use them all. Kinda like how you can only pick multiple animations but do it for skins. I know it's kinda hard to do with guns with unique animations, but I believe you can make it work š

the CL-40 should actually one shot every class while my monitor isn't even turned on tbh. it needs another buff. also add a 25 kill streak nuke that simply ends the game and counts EVERYONE as a total loss and drops yourself and everyone in the match like 2 or 3 ranks instantaneously when you activate it. the game is literally unplayable without it.
Help how I'm supposed to do 50 headshot kills from more than 50 meters (6k xp mission btwš) rn I made 5 kills with sniper rifle and one with bow (pure luck 99% of my kills are on 30/40meters range) even lh1 with scope it is impossible to kill someone with headshot from 50 meters
So, ideally, how do we change it in a meaningful way to where itās not just bad? Iād really like for guns outside of assault rifles and shotguns to be good in the game. If I wanted to go play assault rifle shooters Iād play CoD. I donāt play the CL40, but things like the flamethrower and MGL are things that can be fun and useful. Look at the old arena shooters, rocket launchers and all kinds of non-ballistic weapons were pretty good. So how do we avoid a hitscan centric game entirely.

This season has consistently been giving me matches where players have like 50k+ kills and about 10x more hours playtime when I have about 4k kills myself and have barely scratched the surface of the game.
I am all for a challenging game/round, but when it gets to a point where you are beaten every life and not having much of a chance to fight back it's not fun at all.
When I want to play after a long day of work i don't want to play quick cash like it's a tournament in Ruby rank.

Medium class now has the best weapons and utilities in the game, including the best counters to itself. As a result, every lobby is now a Medium fest.
At this point, Embark could delete both Light and Heavy from the game, and we just wouldn't really see a difference (aside from the fact that it would turn The Finals into just another generic shooter with destructible environnement).
They really, really need to step it up with next week's update, or this will discourage players quickly. Let's go back to teams needing good synergy with all three classes having clear strengths, weaknesses, limitations. This game will be in its best spot once the statistically most played team comp is LMH.

(I am not good at explaining things so try and hear me out as im just gonna dump some thoughts)Just did some research (about 5 mins of googling and what not) on player count. it seems that the finals struggled with players since the games initial release, and looking at other popular fps games, the numbers that are drastically different are the twitch viewers and streamers. What the finals needs to do is give something to streamers, and pay for that extra advertising to bring more and more players into the finals. what would help with this also would to add a beginner playlist to the game, and change default settings to best suit the game. what im talking about is how if i were to play on a new account, the default settings are sooo bad that it makes the game unplayable. SO. adjust default settings, add new playlist, maybe give beginners more to choose from regarding weapons and gadgets, and Twitch streamers play a big role in player count. Also from what my friends told me when they tried this game for the first time was, Its too much, the learning curve is alot, and nobody plays this game. RIP Light sniper. It is so impossibly nerfed now. A good change was to add more long range weapons to the other classes. A HORRIBLE change was to add more long range weapons to the other classes while nerfing the sniper into oblivion. The sudden change to bullet velocity while the bullet is still in flight makes it unruly and hard to predict. The fact that it is now the only weapon with this change makes this weapon now completely unviable against any other weapon. A Light with a sniper rifle will be outsniped by Heavies and Mediums. The sniping used to be good in this game. Now I am probably going to quit playing this altogether. This game was more frustrating than fun, and now what I enjoyed is gone. Why stay?

Simple and elegant fix to defib meta - if a medium defibs a dead medium, then they also have a defib cooldown. Easy to understand, prevents defib chaining, doesnāt nerf the ability to the ground and encourages diverse team loadouts.
BTW CL-40 isnāt OP, youāre just getting skill diffād and it feels bad. All top rank players are Pike/AK/Model

The platform kinda shifts when you first jump on so that helped, so if it was ranked I might have lost that 1 v 1, but it doesn't seem as broken as people say.
I can easily see where 3 may become an issue.
Ziplines blow up immediately, Jump pad cooldown should be 15 sec to help when rotating around the objective & stay mobile against grenade launcher, or other Hipfire weapons.(It'd be nice if mines could match that cooldown since half the utility was taken away.

so last season the whole community damn near complained about the overtuned lh1 and they nerfed it. Then they decided to add a gun thats pretty much the same as the overtuned lh1 and give it to mediums. Did they test this gun before putting it in the game?
so last week I had a contract to win 30 rounds which I thought was a little excessive, this week I have one to win 10 rounds, which is better but then I have 50 headshots on people 50m or more. I mean I would like to do this contract, but the revolver fucking blows and the pike is too broken to be fun to use.
Fix the lag and fps issues on Las Vegas and the bamboo map. They are completely unplayable now for a lot of players. If you canāt fix it atleast remove the maps from ranked and world tour so youāre not punishing players.
Allow cashout steals in progress to continue when timer hits 0. Teams should have to defend the entirety of the cashout, not have the freedom to leave early because itās literally impossible to steal under 7 seconds

cl40 has pretty much taken over the game, played several rounds last night where more than half the lobby was spamming it. If something is still broken after trying to fix it 3 times then be honest and consider removing it as a main weapon, make it an ability for med or something to prevent spam
i just used the pike to get them low then threw gas and pyro nades at the platform in powershift, got it in one match, i thought it would be too difficult as well since i was trying to do it with the rpg before

Tournament difficulty: Very Easy All the other teams in the match were either Bronze rank or unranked players.
Even after spending a long time to win, you get only a small amount of RS, and the other Bronze teams just get beaten badly.

You guys have really knocked it out of the park with this one! Even as a heavy main, this is shaping up to be my favorite season yet.
However, now that the RPG does even less damage, I think it would be nice to increase its explosive radius to deal environmental damage to a wider area. Not too much, but just a little bit.

Cl-40 should be nerfed. It creeped up as the favorite particularly when in finals rounds. since a lot of weapons were nerfed/ adjusted, it leaves the CL-40 to outpace in it own class. though not impossible to beat, it does tend to win in fights both close and at range. its hard to to make a case to not use the CL-40 and even main with its skill floor pretty down there. I would rather see it be even with the others soon as I can imagine it be noobtube city which i'm already starting to see.

Most weapons require you to land the majority of your shots to down a heavy... that's why they are heavy...

Had 1 of them in final round, 2 new accounts ragehacking, and my teammate tilted and turned his aimbot on halfway through final round. The fact we didn't see a single balance change in this patch is a fucking travesty, Mediums are dominating the ranked scene in both close and long-range engagements,
Lights are either dying left and right or are not able to engage with all the turrets and mines lying around and even if they can get a pick most team comps in ranked are 3 mediums all with defibs or heal beam so that one pick is up before anyone can use that opening.
and Heavy... the fact that you stated "Heavy wins more games than Light so we need to nerf them" its kinda funny how this doesn't mention mediums at all while they are the most played class with the lowest barrier of entry out of all three classes and the most impactful gear along with the strongest weapons on the board. and none of this touches on how the devs decide that mesh needs a nerf right as they give the medium a DMR for Christ's sake which has more consistent hip fire at point-blank range than a pair of desert eagles.

yup,the Game need a Cl 40 and pyker Nerf asap,also needs better stability since it depends on the map it goes very badly (I speak from console),and add some important changes in mid-season to ensure good retention,I think the game also needs to do something with the light ones, they are paper thin, in my opinion, I don't know if it is possible, I would add a negative damage multiplier depending on the class you are, I would make the light ones take a little less damage, and the heavys a little more, so as not to change the weapons so drastically.

Hi, new player here with almost 30hrs. I don't usually give feedback to any game since usually my voice get shadowed.
But one thing I really would like to see is a better new player experience as it could encourage newer players to stick around more since this game is amazing and deserves all the attention.
My take is that VR points should only be towards gadgets and optics and not primary weapons. I know this might be a hot take, but I do believe in doing so it would encourage newer players to try out different weapons more and just focus on their play style around said weapons to find their rhythm in the game earlier.

So you think the CL-40 shouldn't have to land 100% of the shots to kill a heavy? Compare that to the double barrel where you most definitely have to land both shots to kill a heavy or med, and that's at point blank range.
If your intent was to prevent a large damage opener for the heavy that's okay, but why give it to the med? I think a good compromise would be to make the CL do the same amount of damage as the RPG.. Theoretically the weapons are both launching a grenade...
The bottom line is the CL-40 is doing a lot of damage with a single shot (more than the RPG). It creates a real problem for light players specifically. The two Dev notes are contradicting each other.

Weapons that do more damage than the CL-40 ever has have been used for months now. Doing more than 117 damage a shot and especially killing faster than the CL is nothing new. And fundamentally nothing has even changed aside from heavies being 3 shot. Thereās just such a massive pushback because;
- Ranked players think itās overpowered because itās good in the hands of really competent players.
- People in general are now very easily punished from bad positioning due to the nature of the CL being a grenade launcher.
2 1/2. Any supporting team member can pick off a low health opponent who was hit by a grenade.
Plus the fact that itās being used more, so people are encountering it more, thereās a ton of placebo complaints. Truly, this gun was always really good, yaāll just havenāt played against it regularly.

let's just check here for a second Light has: SH1900 195 Damage total if all pellets hit at close range, M26 matter 121 damage same case as the SH1900, Throwing Knives Alt fire 140 with a wind-up and projectile speed, SR-84 115 on a bolt-action rifle, Dagger with a high of 320 but only on a backstab which bugs out half the time and the sword at 140 with a wind-up lunge, both these last two are also melee range. Recurve bow 120 body 180 crit, needs to be charged up for full damage, slows the player when charging, and is a projectile.
Heavy has: Sledgehammer at 115 for normal and 200 for alt with a wind-up, melee range, and the slowest movement in the game, That is it for heavy -_-
Medium has: R ,357 148 headshot damage, range up to 23 meters, model 1887 128 damage at 15 meters or more depending on the target, and now the CL-40 117 damage at any range you can lob the rounds at with a fire rate of 210 RPM, and let's not forget the splash damage of its grenades.
as someone who used the CL-40 post and pre-buff, it was an excellent gun before this shit and had a good use case that got overlooked by everyone for an AR or model, now however it is oppressive to play against in any gunfight that takes next to no time to learn how to use.
and before someone says "Oh lights have a ton of stuff that deals way more damage than the CL-40 stop bitching" they have 150 HP, no AOE damage weapons and all of these have either a lower RPM than the CL-40 or a wind-up time of a little under a second, add onto that the fact that medium has nearly as much movement as a light on demand, healing/defib, and an extra 100 HP over lights.
Do you see why this shit is overtuned?

Now that the hype of the new season has warn off I'm increasingly losing interest in playing because the balance right now is pretty bad. At this point I had way more fun playing S3.
-PIKE is broken a needs a nerf ASAP. No idea why you would release a gun that with significantly faster TTK then any of the ARs while making it effective at all ranges. It just flat out beats ARs at all ranges, whats the point of using ARs now? Nerf it's damage and reduce the stupid sway and visual recoil mechanics. You said you learned a lot about balance coming into S4 yet you continue to balance weapons based on visual recoil, why? It's awful and anyone with a decent monitor can just use bult in crosshair to counter it. Bad design,
-CL-40 again nerf ASAP. Just full on revert this until you can figure something out. This weapon literally takes no skill to use and is extremely frustrating to play against.
-50. Akimbo. Out classes most heavy guns right now and is a bit overpowered, similar to the PIKE it's pretty much heavies most effective gun at all ranges, why? Needs a nerf.
-Sword light. Why on earth would you buff this? Literally one of the most frustrating and anti fun things to play against in the game. Light player literally just dashing around being incredibly difficult to hit while just taking over half your health bar every lunge. Also absurdly forgiving hitbox on the lunge, some times I'm literally behind an obstacle and get hit through it.
-Stun gun. Please remove this from the game like you did recon. Do lights really needs this? Dealing with dash spam and invis is bad enough, they dont need a slow opener to guarantee a free kill. Frustrating and anti-fun
As a dagger player, here are my thoughts on the S4 dagger. š”ļø The first kill in an encounter feels easy since you can start charging a backstab while invisible (i.e., likely feels cheap for the person who suddenly dies), but then the dagger player, now discovered, is screwed for the remaining targets due to the combination of slow chargeup and no sprint whilst you're being attacked. This means that the S4 dagger is really only good for getting one kill before dying, or for killing an especially isolated target, which doesn't work very well even in the casual gamemodes. My personal opinion, and what I've seen echoed on the subreddit, is that the S4 dagger unfortunately feels a lot less fun to play than S3 dagger, which had such a good skill ceiling that really rewarded you with exciting high risk-high reward if you worked hard for it. For me, a way to opt-in to the old behavior (or a revert) would be perfect.
Dagger Wishlist:
-You shouldnt be able to climb while charging the dagger, i try so often to backsab someone above me but instead of jumping and stabbing, it tries to climb and my charge gets canceled (VERY IMPORTANT THIS WAS NOT ABLE TO HAPPEN LAST SEASON SO I ASSUME YOU JUST FORGOTT TO PROGRAM IT RIGHT)
-Option to hold and tap backstab like with the throwing knifes
-Always being able to run as last season
-Add a visual indicator of when the backstab is charged
-Remove the audio indicator cus it sounds terrible and you cant hear it mid fight at all.

I know and I agree too, yes, it's frustrating as fuck BUT YES, Light need this. Because this is maybe the only gadget who can hlep you to get a kill and not being kill in an instant. Without it, you can be sure you gonna die in 1 or 2 shot.
The XP54 do the same dmg now than the MP11 but there is more bullets in the M11 so why Light should use the XP ? Let's go for the M11 but again, you have to be closer than ever to do some kills. So yes, stun gun need to stay. I'm asking since a year now to more balance for the Light class because there is NO LIGHT META since a year. Even without a META, just go in ranked, NO ONE WANTS a Light in the squad. I wonder why... They are so useless and fragile, they can't help a lot, even with kill.

Pike/CL40: I agree without hesitation.
Deagles are just too precise/strong at longer ranges. The weapon is quite balanced otherwise IMO. It should be restricted to dealing lots of damage close to mid range.
Light sword is frustrating to play against, but not that easy to pull off (without dying quickly, that is). I agree that the hitbox is an incomprehensible clusterfuck, and someone who has mastered the sword can really get on your nerves quickly, even when you're playing with your team and covering each other's backs.
As much as I dislike getting stunned, it's not a guaranteed kill, unless the target is isolated/using a melee weapon. I played quite a few games with Light recently; because the class is meant to flank/harass enemies, often a bit further away from the team, the stun gun is a much needed life savior when you start to take too much heat. I actually use it defensively as much as I used it offensively. Good counter to Heavy C&S, oppressive enemy Lights, and of course a very strong tool to prevent steals, if you manage to get back to your Cashout quickly enough. The latter really allows Lights to help defend objectives, outside of just trying to stack up kills.
I have an idea for a future game-mode, probably someone already say it but what about a team deathmatch or capture the cash(capture the flag)?

as a defib player nothing brings me more joy than being subservant to my fellow men. when they yell at me and we completely do a 180 in a team fight cuz i drop everything im doing to please man and defib him, I get tingles. please embark never change the defibs, i love serving other men
i am constantly having issues connecting to games, and when i do manage to load in after reconnecting because i get kicked with "server time out" or "kicked from server" bug with the TGF000### whatever bug, when i do manage to reconnect (if i do) it's an extremely buggy experience, no gun model for a whole tournament, or wrong loadout and character model, plus i also get penalized for abandoning a match because the game decides to kick me from the tournaments or won't let me connect, I would really like to play the game but this is getting absolutely fucking ridiculous
I like playing rank. But ever since people discovered how powerful the CL-40 is, it's all I see people using now. I really want to get in the game but dreading to play against a stack of CL-40s in a team and sometimes even 3 other teams. I've joined the CL-40 meta but I just don't find it fun to play like that. Even World Tour isn't safe from this meta. This is really a personal preference but I really like playing with a bang than a boom.
I also love defib for this reason. Embark, please understand defibbing is the only way I can feel validated. Making people stand up, raw and hard, with my own hands really gets me going. On my knees, defibbing, then holding heal until theyāre full and safe. Then they can fill me up after the match š

Couple notes.
- RPG is an opening item, as they said. The CL40 is a primary weapon. Not an opener or a destruction item. Case in point: 6-shots to destroy a wall.
- Heavy has the highest win rate and very little downside to playing because health is king. You fail to recall that only two seasons ago, you couldn't even one-mag a heavy with 4-direct shots with the CL40. It was the only weapon in the game that couldn't kill a heavy with a single silo.

To demand perfect accuracy to kill a heavy with one of only two lobbed weapons in game - now one of three weapons in the game with ballistics - is absurd.
The shotgun, on the other hand, has insane risk vs reward. It CAN one-mag a heavy, yes, and it also has to be perfect, yes. But it can be done in less than a second with no reaction time alotted to the victim. That's the benefit. If you fuck up (hint: most people do), you're gonna get turned on and, as a light, get lit the fuck up and likely die.

The CL40 isn't an opener that can dish out a heavy-killing blow in half a second whereas the old RPG could kill a light/medium in roughly that time with no immediate telegraphed counterplay opportunities. The heavy does insane damage on it's own. Per magazine, it has the highest damage potential because it's meant to sustain damage over the duration of emptying a box and most heavies land that damage, especially now with the recoil tweaks to their MG's and the intro of a red dot for the M60.
I'm so tired of these whitebox scenarios that people play in their heads that 'Oh, the heavy can be killed in 3 shots'. Are you standing still? Are you not utilizing, I don't know, one of 3 (technically 4) shield options that the heavy offers? That's the point. It's an aggressive weapon to cover-check a heavy and force them into CDs - IE: playing their intended role.
What I WILL say, to your credit (or maybe not), is that the CL40 is far too forgiving to mediums shooting it at their own feet in a duel. This was the same issue the RPG had: a heavy could dish out insane damage in a short period of time, usually done within self-infliction range, instakill a light or medium, and then moonwalk away with little consequence. So with that said, I think the CL40 should inflict MORE self-damage to enforce longer range engagements and forcing players into actually getting skill-checked with their lobbed accuracy.
I think that medium feels the same no matter what you use and unless you use the akm you are not as good because fcar is weaker modle 1887 has horrible reload the cl-40 is a bit weird and pike is no good with bad wepons and the rest you have to up close and is not good.Whereas I feel the heavy can use what ever wepon and will always destroy me no matter what. I feel the medium does not have unique wepons and the all feel the same

Day2 of asking bring back Console Only Servers, (ik you can turn crossplay off but seriously who does it, you aint gonna find a match with it off) im getting pinged Fcar like 100m away its unreal.
I play on console and for me it's good to play against pc people, being at a disadvantage makes you become a better player.
I'd love to see each classes weapons and gadgets being available as custom items you can add to your Drip. For example, as a guy who plays Medium support, having defibrillators or a goo grenade hanging off your waist, combined with a healing beam slung across your back would be awesome...
I donāt know which game dev will wanna hear it, but I have an idea for if you were to bring back āDead Go Boom!ā Why not make it to where every playerās TOTEM acts as an explosive mine with an extended and readable radius? Maybe you can shoot another playerās totem to make it explode, and it can redetonate after 8 seconds or so
Again I think TA should rarely be looked at for cash out balance other than what went wrong. The reason light was so powerful wasn't really the potential in combos it was its self sufficiency. You could get an early surprise pick that couldn't be revived or trade damage that couldn't be regenerated. Then with that chip damage all other classes are pulled to similar health pools and light would almost always win a fight against the other classes at similar health range. Which are both entirely unapplicable to cash out.
Resetting is kinda out of the meta? Brother resetting is the meta, it is triple mediums you just reset mid fight with heal beam and fib. The counter is either by getting a grenade they don't notice at a teams feet to do a large burst of damage (boring and lame) and then try and fly in while they're trying to reset, or just doing more damage with pike and model (boring and lame).
Fibbing should be less incentivized in the middle of fights and players should have more options to punish. Like canceling it outright, and options like that should be given to the other classes to play into a rock paper scissors loop to prop up having one of each class. IE glitch canceling defib in hologram.
It would be so much more enjoyable than Low Gravity, which just serves to fuck melee mains even more.

what is this? what is this for? who is this for? How many months do I have to do these stupid tasks? The developers apparently forgot that not all players are pro. With the start of Season 4, winning even 1 round is very difficult. For me, this is already a rarity. Hitting the head from 50 meters 50 times? Even if I take a sniper rifle specifically for this task and go on power shift, then at best I still get 2 headshots per round. And I need 50! This is madness.
I'm already on the verge of dropping the game because now there is no fun in it. Only stupid grind and sweat.

Not really. A melee main like me has to focus on this to get it done, and in most modes, taking shots over such a long distance is usually a detriment to the game.
- there is a new type of problem, people in high rank lobbies pays for cheaters to get boosted. Very anoying, they can do a new account as soon as they lost the previous one and continue to boost.
-please nerf or rework the defib because medium literally has 2 option for gadgets (or more likely one because of the mobility items) but defib is no question for anyone. Would be nice to have more options and make the defib less obvious to choose

-i just donāt understand why the light sword got buffed in s4, it was already broken. I think we need something to counter them or just nerf the sword. For example would be nice if the dash distance would be the only distance they gain, no extra moves forward

If you're exclusively gonna play rock, it makes sense that the task requiring you to play paper or scissors isn't gonna get completed. If you're gonna hyper-optimize the fun out of a game, then yes; these missions will require focus. i reckon a tutorial update is needed. With a lot of newer players coming in with the new season (HOORAY) theres also a lot of people that dont understand the basic concepts of the game. It only really takes one player who doesnt know they shouldnt be killing the team thats about to save the game to ruin it for the rest of the lobby. somehow i even see lvl 60+ players doing the same... I think we can take a page out of valorants book with their, long overdue, but undeniably successful tutorial revamp.
update: i also see a lot of criticism but i dont think it should be taken away from just how much more direction the game has now in the new season. really the first season i feel like im playing a contestant in the finals and im here for it.

its recoil, range and damage arenāt that great, and those 5 extra bullets given to it really didnāt mean much when you think about every other hit it took. i donāt think most people would mind if it happened to lose some fire rate in exchange for a less jarring recoil pattern, slightly higher damage (say 22 to 24) and a reduction in magazine size to compensate for it.

We need a flare gun gadget(light) so bad thatās sticks to enemies or walls. Itās low damage but it long term so it help for enemy player to avoid pursuing and heal itās also bright and colourful sparks to show enemy location when it stick and leaves a spark trail on the map

Yes, I agree to that. But point is that A: some players have to actually focus on it. (Arguably for too long in my opinion. I can tell whether I like a playstyle in an hour. Any longer is a chore -> not fun)
B: The actual challenge is actually rarely a good idea in most matches but powershift. If you are making shots over that long, even as a sniper, you are usually way out of position. And powershift players already complain about the excessive amount of snipers, but it is the only mode where this challenge is viable while playing to win.
In short, main point I was making that this is a challenge you have to really focus on to complete, especially for some players but really, for all. It doesnāt just happen like building structure damage.

i really want to play with the new guns but i feel i need to prioritize between saving for the new guns and buying sights for the weapons, considering that the new guns are all 1600 and the sights are 800, almost just as much as an og weapon it feels like a bit of a grind and something that turns me off pretty bad as a casual player.

Currently both grenade launcher have a little zoom when using m2.

Alt- fire could have an indicator like throw able grenades. It isnt that useful for veteran players, but for newer players.

Like the CL-40, alt-fire could also have an trajectory indicator like throwables.
Then also holding m2, will change the shooting direction vertically. Giving the launcher a mini-mortar mode without aiming into to sky.
Both weapons are very annoying to play against and the cl-40 seems on a rampage atm. So here is an other idea for a nerv:
Make the normal cl-40 m1 not that reliable. So players have to use the alt fire more make them easier target.
i guess longer reload times should do the trick maybe too.

The other is that I tried all night yesterday (on P.Shift). Quite a few people got headshots (and the lights died from one shot), but the system still didn't give it...It was 50 meters though.

However, the matchmaking has been broken since Season 2. In Season 3, I didn't play much ranked because it was TA, and I detest that game mode. I thought that during that season, meaning Season 3, you were working on the matchmaking to have something decent for Season 4, but I see that this issue continues from Season 2.
My matchups make no sense, neither in terms of rank nor in terms of the dedication to the game, which is evident when I compare my number of kills and revives with those of my teammates. And when I look at the other teams, they are with the people who should be matched with me, but instead, I'm playing against them.
I'm saying all this from the perspective of someone who plays solo, without a team. When can we expect improvements in matchmaking for solo players? Seriously, we've been like this since Season 2, it's very frustrating.
Note: I've even had people on my team who said in chat that they were playing ranked for "fun" in the sense of playing "quick play." This is a bad joke.
Note 2: I don't mind if it takes longer to find a game as long as it improves the current experience. I'd rather wait more than 2 minutes or however long it takes than wait 10 seconds and end up with a team with zero skill.
Note 3: Do not use the excuse of not changing the matchmaking in the middle of a season when you make buffs and nerfs to weapons, gadgets, etc., which also affect the game in the middle of the season. You have had enough time to do something about it.

There should be a play of the game cam at the end of matches or some kind of highlights. I think the end of a match should feel more like the ending of a game show. The games is so awesome to watch and to see some of the plays people make at the end of a match with closing comments from the commentators would be sweet.
Maybe could play into the fan system where you could get bonus fans for getting the play of the game or getting into the highlights.

i feel like revolver hip fire should be a bit more accurate, the FAMAS feels very good after all hipfire changes. I think most guns in game should live to that standard of hipfire consistency

Season 4 of The Finals is a major disappointment. Embark prioritizes metrics over quality, leaving players frustrated with a lackluster update and zero transparency.
Technical issues remain rampant: lag, desync, poor hit registration, crashes, and a respawn system that actively hurts competitive integrity. Game still doesnt have a ping indicator.
Gameplay is unbalanced: Defibrillator trivializes death and should be a specialization. Heal Beam is overtuned. Parkour, while fun, is inconsistent.
Social features are barebones: no friend leaderboards, limited communication options, and no way to view friend ranks without being in a party.
Critical issues are ignored: rampant cheating, lack of player profiles, store currency not displayed in local currency, poor spectator mode, and uninspired map design. Ranked mode is particularly neglected, with no protection for players experiencing teammate disconnects and no rank score restoration when cheaters are banned.
Embark, we need action, not empty promises. Address these issues, communicate openly, and prioritize quality over quick fixes. The Finals has potential, but only if you start listening to your players.

So you think the CL-40 shouldn't have to land 100% of the shots to kill a heavy? Compare that to the double barrel where you most definitely have to land both shots to kill a heavy or med, and that's at point blank range.
If your intent was to prevent a large damage opener for the heavy that's okay, but why give it to the med? I think a good compromise would be to make the CL do the same amount of damage as the RPG.. Theoretically the weapons are both launching a grenade...
The bottom line is the CL-40 is doing a lot of damage with a single shot (more than the RPG). It creates a real problem for light players specifically.
1: You need to hit minimum of fourth if you are less than 3rd seed to make profit. This means winning ONE round is enough to gain points.
2: If you are looking to rank up, YOU SHOULD have a high win rate in your current rank to show you donāt belong.
3: Just git gud and win.
I think a slight useful buff to dual blades would be to add a small multiplier to striking enemy rear. Would end up really useful in cashout defending scenarios, as it feels ridiculously slow to kill a medium or a heavy stealing

deflect within 10m of my aggressor and all bullets fuck off to another country,
or do nothing and turn me into a pile of coins or they drill into him and

when mediums and lights just hold w the other way and live no matter what i do,
zipline can be useful for this but it's quite difficult to use in a chase)
o ability to immediately block and interrupt your own attack animation (would
make fighting sledge and other melee more approachable, being able to block
right before a sledge overhead would be massive and so rewarding to do mid

Having played throughout all of season 3, imo season 4 first and foremost brings major unbalancing in terms of variety to be used in the current Meta.
- Nerf the Pyke, big time.
- Reverse the changes to the Mesh shield - Only effective tool against long range to close the distance for damage for weapons like flamethrower, sledgehammer and shotgun, and no the hook, with its 12 sorry meters of range, doesnt cut it. Heavies are suffering from this change.
i think the xp-54 got a bit too much of a nerf, there are better weapons to always pick over the xp. very low damage per mag (480 is very low), long reload, and not the best hipfire for being SMG. its bad in close quarters and decent on medium range but the v9s simply outclasses it in versatility which is okay, but even the m11 is the overall better pick. i think the xp just needs a slight buff to its range, where it can outperform the m11 even more. 15 > to maybe 18 meter minimum drop off and 27,5 to 30 meter. the modifier should also increase from 70% to 75%. just my suggestion
easy? throw some nades in a room and done. Be thankful you don't have the 50 headshots beyond 50 meters one.

50 headshots can be done off of cooldown. Gadgets require timing, position and the luck to make it work. Headshots at 50m is annoying but not anymore so than gadget elims

Performance is so bad now, before Season 4 I had 50-70 fps on highest settings (drops to 40 mby sometimes), now 30-50 with drops even as low as 15 every game. Even if I set graphics to lowest the drops stay at 20 fps and I get 50 fps on avg. Wtf

I have played from season 2 and i really like the game however i feel like the game has become more heavier please optmise more my rig is i5 10300h and gtx1650ti 8gb ddr4 i get around 40 fps on some maps and 50 on some if its more optimised this season i felt that my fps became worse
alright first off the 50 headshots at 50 meters or more challenge needs to change, it promotes the worst type of gameplay makes me feel like my team and i are intentionally throwing just to play at 50 meters or more. personally i think it would be fine if it were 30 meters or more but as it is now its pain. secondly the cl40 i dont want to see it be nerfed super hard but i want its self damage to be increased i think its kind of unfair as a heavy to run up on a medium with the cl and there immediate reaction is jump around and shoot there feet and i die in 3 shots while they live my damage plus there own self damage, my logic for this is rpg for example does i think around 170-180 self damage but gets a max of 100 damage out while the cl40 does significantly less self damage but more damage at 117.

I think the game also needs to do something with the light ones, they are paper thin,and heavys a loot of health,in my opinion, I don't know if it is possible, I would add a negative damage multiplier depending on the class you are, I would make the light ones take a little less damage, and the heavys a little more, so as not to change the weapons so drastically.

The CL-40 is genuinely the worst balance I have seen in all 4 seasons. This is unacceptable
i think one of the big issues/frustrations going up against the CL-40 right now is that you can barely tell at a glance what weapon your opponent is using against you by the time you take one/two hits from it to the chest.
imo this is exacerbated when there's enviromental damage happening OR being caused by the weapon simultaneously and it's just plain difficult to acertain wtf is happening in the moment.
perhaps the weapon's damage doesn't need a HUGE nerf, but maybe some more visual vfx to give players a heads up like the sniper/pike glints.

Hello! I came on here to talk about the CL40 and I see other people agreeing with the fact that it needs a nerf, I run into them almost every game. It makes playing as a light simply not fun. I don't think that's the case but, CL40 has got to be the reason for poor performances with all the explosions and whatnot (Or maybe I really hate this weapon)

If no one has come up with the idea yet, I'll give it a go. Please add a function to exchange weekly tasks. I currently have one that I'm having a lot of trouble with.
Change the Low Gravity event so that it only affects structures and projectiles, and then remove the way it effects the player. It would make the game more interesting while making the experience less frustrating since it doesn't tamper with the movement.
99% of balance problems are rooted in the loadout system being really restrictive and not allowing people to properly counter direct playstyles other teams are doing
locking people into only 8 items, 4 in competitive, for entire matches does not give enough leeway for proper responses to multiple team builds that exist in the game
if you're going to keep the loadout slots limitation, provide more per contestant and allow cash out to be able to swap in between team wipes
and i'll even go as far to say as allow people to swap contestants in all game modes
I genuinely think the dev behind the buff of the cl40 is mentally unwell. if this shit isn't changed by next update i'm actually dropping this game till next season. holy fuck literal triple stacks of cl40 in EVERY FUCKING MODE.

Embark really needs to have a test server active! So they can see how the new changes play in reality and so they can make according changes before the full rollout. That way everything that touches the main game will be totally balanced. I do understand though that this game may not have the playerbase to support that. Maybe have an in game thing you can get for time spent testing/ reports filed about the state of potential changes

I have made a comment about token respawning. Teammates tokens sometimes respawn 100-150 meters away and I have only been noticing it in Fortune Stadium. PLEASE FIX.

Menu could be optimised a bit. No need for quick cash to both be on the very left of the screen as a big option and also in the quickplay tab at the same time I think, maybe just have quickplay back as a bigger option on the screen?

Maybe they should have an option where you can select the Diamond, Emerald, or Ruby weapon you want to unlock.
For example, in overwatch you can select your gold gun by accumulating points and spending them on the gold weapon of your choice.
In The Finals, an equivalent of that could be where at the end of a season you can earn an "ENDORSEMENT" where you can use it on selecting a Diamond, Emerald, or Ruby weapon.
Also, if they make player profiles a thing, there could be a "display hall" where you can see all of the achievable weapon skins. From platinum up to the top ranks.

I know yāall want new player and for them to have fun and feel like theyāre good so they donāt leave immediately and never play again⦠but that shouldnāt come at the expense of your long term player base. Way too many weapons that cater to the unskilled player. Over tuning free kill weapons and over nerfing their counter gadgets is just a bad a time. I mean really who asked for the riot shield to get even more damage?? Theyāre already invulnerable to gunfire on 90% of their body. Sure, theyāre easy enough to deal with one on one but thatās rarely the case. Thereās a whole other team to deal with too. Of course as everyone else is saying, the GL spam is abhorrent to play against and rewards the most brainless players Iāve ever come across. The APS USED to be our be our only hope against this spam so what do you do? You make it only able to eat a few shots? Once again, sure this is enough when itās just you against the one GL but a whole team of GL users spamming you at the same time basically INSTANTLY takes out your APS and youāre left with NO COUNTER. This game was supposed to be about creativity and strategy. So many things in this game point towards the general idea of outsmarting your opponents. Not just brute forcing a win by abusing overpowered stuff.
THEN everyone complained about the LH1 being over tuned so you give the medium essentially the same thing with higher damage and lower fire rate. Hell, even the sniper was annoying for a while so the solution was yet another pseudo-sniper type weapon?
I think if your team only consisst of 2 or less players you shuld lose less points.

I like the new map but it barely gets played on the rotation, if anything i'm seeing the casino map pop up more all of a sudden, it's rare getting the new map. i think instead of giving cl40 a damage buff, they should've increased its mag size by one. the rpg should have 2 charges, do even less damage to players, not do extra damage to yourself and have massively increased structural damage. currently, for being an rpg, it doesnt exactly do a lot of damage to buildings imo.

I've said this many times before, but why did the developers make it so that we can only have one explosive mine?
We can have another explosive mine after the cooldown, so we can have up to two in total, but "this makes it hard to see the point of allocating a gadget slot for an explosive mine."
If the problem is that players can die from the damage of two explosive mines, they should have just "compensated, or limited, the damage that players take when exposed to multiple explosive blasts."
And they said "this doesn't apply to buildings, etc."
Since we players can destroy buildings in this game, why don't they let us destroy buildings in one hit with medium gadgets?

if 3rd parties are preventing you from placing 1st or 2nd then its a macro issue. also, griefing is fine for the most part because its risky unless you've been playing well all round and have a ton of money. The only issue i have with it is when a team targets another from the start because they know them or see high ranks. I wouldn't mind if streamer mode was added and ranks / seeded placements weren't revealed until the match ended

Iām not sure if this has already been discussed but I was having an issue with my The Finals freezing after every game and when I got to the lobby and didnāt know what caused it. I believe the reason for this issue was due to me having over 200 friends in my social section of The Finals. Iām assuming it was too much for the server to maintain with people getting on and offline at that multitude. So if users just maintain a friend list of about 150 which is what I have now but before I had 282. Now I have no freezes or glitches while in lobby or after a match. Just wanted to share this with the team!

Doing the contracts and 50Headshots over 50m is insane. So i need to camp with sniper and do nothing for the team so complete this. And for 50m in the finals is shooting across the map. Absolutely no fun doing it.
Even in Medium, we could destroy concrete instantly by quickly placing two explosive mines on the floor or wall and firing them.
Destroying ceilings takes a bit of skill with explosive mines, but it was still possible in some places.
But when it's designed so that even using explosive mines makes it difficult to destroy, our previous tactics can't be used anymore. Because it's too late.
That was my basic tactic.
Medium has a dematerialization device, but even if we use it, it just reverts to normal over time.
It's not that there are no uses for it, but I don't need that kind of thing. What I need is destruction.

Feedback on THE FINALS Season 4
After roughly 1400 hours spent across the game, I feel compelled to share my thoughts on the latest season.
Positives
Season 4 has brought many improvements, making the game feel more polished overall. The introduction of contracts and sponsorship's are welcome additions.
However, these positives are being overshadowed by a lack of class diversity in the latest patch.
Medium Class Dominance
The Medium class now has a ranged weapon: the Pike. It's fun to play and not game-breaking, adding a relevant damage-dealing gun to the game. Whilst it's damage possibly feels a bit overtuned, perhaps the rate of fire and/or damage per bullet could be adjusted to match the rest of the arena.
Medium class now possesses one of the strongest ranged weapons AND the strongest medium/close-range weapons (Model 1887, CL40, FAMAS).
Combined with utility (defibrillator, heal beam, team mobility), the Medium class has become overwhelmingly versatile.
Light Class Struggles
As a player who prefers high-risk, high-reward "glass cannon" builds, I find my role as Light has been effectively dissolved.
There's little reason to choose Light over Medium now.
The slight nerf to the SR84 at the season's start feels out of touch with the current meta.
I must exert twice the effort to provide the same value as an average-performing Medium player.
Weapon Balance
The SR-84 sniper rifle needs reconsideration.
The 40-meter bullet drop-off is too short for maps like Skyway Stadium, where that distance is barely across the street. Paradoxically, SMGs like the M11 and XP-54 can hit targets across the map almost more effectively than the sniper rifle. The lack of in-game range perception makes it difficult to guide shots accurately. Even when I manage to dial in the correct range, the long bullet travel time means I essentially have to predict an enemy's movement 2 seconds ahead of when I initially fire. This makes the sniper rifle frustratingly ineffective compared to other weapons, especially given its intended role as a long-range option.
New Map: Fortune Stadium
A welcome addition with fitting aesthetics.
Color palettes and prominent sponsorships add value to the brands.
Currently overrepresented in World Tour mode.
Concrete walls seem as fragile as Kyoto's paper walls, further disadvantaging the Light class.
Navigating through rubble while avoiding stationary hazards (grenades, turrets, mines) during cashouts is challenging.
Personal Experience and Concerns
I've invested a significant amount of time in this game, racking up around 1400 hours across three different accounts. Last season, I even managed to achieve the highest rank in a game mode I initially despised but grew to appreciate. However, this is the first time I'm seriously considering putting the game on the shelf. The current lack of variety and the frustrating gameplay experience have left me feeling disheartened. While I acknowledge that many of these issues could potentially be addressed with a few well-thought-out balance patches, I can't help but feel disappointed. I had high hopes that the Cashout mode would introduce more variety to the game, but unfortunately, it hasn't lived up to my expectations. Despite my frustrations, I still hold out hope that I'll be able to pick up the Light class again sometime in the future and compete at the higher ranks.
All in all I think the heart is in the right place, And I'm hoping to see more diversity pushed throughout the season as this has just been the first 2 weeks.
idea for heavy - can we get an impulse grenade or other so heavy has some manouverability because there are times when i find myself running up stairs whilst team is fighting?

The only self-sufficiency the class had was its quick regeneration. Gadgets were limited.
Mesh & Heal B. Will probably be running a lot tighter if at all due to difficulty to pull off effectively. Breaking that defense will be harder than ever for *L.
I was being vague when referring to a HML resetting Meta sorry.
Since the window to heal is so small and unforgiving relying on a *L to actually utilize a medium specialization can be very inconsistent and pointless.
Honestly with *L mobility alone the class already has great potential to medic. It's the easiest to just pick up & go doesn't even need Defib. to be a combat medic it already has everything it needs I.M.O

On the new Fortune map, was stuck under a wall debris, a player crouched towards me, the pinging failed and pinged "going over there" so couldn't see if it pinged an enemy or a teammate. That was an enemy and I died in seconds. Really not happy with how unclear it is who is in front of us in this game.

I think light class would be in a great spot if many additions made to replace it is changed. Season 3 was dominated by lights and it was frustrating to everyone so light should not be in the place it was in season 3 ever. I think the issue is how the class is designed from the ground up. I liked the dagger before the change. Can we make the right click the same as the mechanics of the new throwing knives. As in if you click right click itās the same as before, where it will charge and stab at the end of the animation but if you hold you can release whenever, it has just messed up my timing a bit

I theorize that the damage model on some maps may have been affected or need another pass after this Season launched..
Half of the new map's buildings just fold after two supports are gone on the lower floors.
((and my entire team starts talking about bad fps in that moment every time))
Also Please consider moving the CL40 to Gadgets to align more with the RPG and with some adjustments it would give medium
an option to Breach.
Alternatively, offer the APS Turret a small buff to counterplay the Grenade Launcher meta without returning to the original APS hellscape that was Powershift early on.

I think devs and players need to realize that certain guns donāt need to be meta or super strong. Itās ok for some weapons to be niche and fun. GL, flamethrower, dagger, dual swords, hammer. Stuff like this, shouldnāt be meta. There will always been crazyās out there willing to mess with fun niche builds and have fun, but that vast majority should NOT be running cheesy builds with little to no effort
Please let me use the Metro Drifter boots with all the lower body options, they're big unlaced boots that should be able to both physically work with everything but also not clip. (Pretty please, I need to wear these with the ninja hanama for the drip.)

The "headshot 50 opponents from a distance of 50 meters or more" challenge is just ridiculous. Hitting headshots from that range is very difficult even with the sniper, and 50 times?? Idk what their obsession is with 50 meters but there's always annoying ranged challenges like this where the only viable option is to camp around on power shift with the sniper hoping you get lucky. that challenge is stupid. i don't have a problem with difficult challenges but ones like these force you to play a specific playstyle, and it's not fun. The best challenges are the ones that reward you for good plays, not camping with a sniper.
Since S4 my game has been constantly crashing. I've only crashed maybe around 10 times since S1 up till S3, but now it crashes basically every match!

Maybe if they combined World Tour and rank into one system, you could still earn your rank based on personal performance, with a bonus for winning matches. Matchmaking could still be based on your rank, which would improve World Tour's matchmaking. It would remain more casual because players would be matched with others of similar skill levels, making the experience more balanced and enjoyable.
please improve matchmaking, I literally cant win a game of powershift while having the top score in the lobby consistantly because of the way sbmm works in this game, there is no amount of being good that makes putting 4 significantly worse players on my team fair
In the new map, the jump platforms are really bad. Many times you don't reach the other side or you get stuck jumping back and forth. It also happened to me once that I went over one and it didn't make me jump, I fell straight to the ground.
The new map breaks too easily, and the FPS drop constantly. Unplayable.
NERF the grenade launcher! It's the worst. It wasnāt necessary to buff that, and they did it! If thatās the case, the APS turret should return to its original state! The APS takes 3 projectiles and breaks. How long does it take to spam 3 grenades? 2 seconds. Itās completely unbalanced.
In all maps, there are 2 or more players with grenade launchers, and itās impossible to play. They come in, press a button, donāt even bother aiming, and win. It makes no sense.
Man, I really never like complaining but the Medium CL-40 is insanely oppresive and the possibility of facing 3 of them in any match is exhausting. The APS doesn't have the range nor the ammo to deal with it. There's basically 0 self-damage so it doesn't punish using it at close range. It is the fastest[?] weapon to break the segmented reload, you can almost infinitely chain grenades. The damage and the radius is far too big.
Out of all the changes in this season this buff is jarringly out of place, everything else feels really consistently nice. This could potentially be the best season yet but my friends and I wouldn't know because every single match is a minimum 3 grenade launchers just ruining the flow of combat. It almost feels too dramatic but a hotfix or a deactivation of the weapon -until it is unbuffed or reworked- would increase the enjoyment factor of this season instantly. In a season with an incredible amount of good content, this one is a huge miss.
Fair, but It already counters Most weapons, & it would bring Frags into the Meta gas, & pyro are hardly used despite being great Utility.

Also Sledge can destroy ANY wall, *L sword just got a buff & does crazy DPS, why is *M the only class with half a quirk? There should be a way for blade to perry all weapons damage. Not enough people run Frags, plus sledge & Sword have the melee weapon HEAVILY outclassed with reliability & utility.
Blade should be reworked to be more forgiving it's the only Melee weapon that requires you to stop & slow down in order to use. Closing the distance with melee weapons is already suicide.
I hope Embark reworks Blades.

I'm barely winning fun fights but the moment someone starts strafe spam with a rifle its over and I can't see their movement
cl 40 needs to do more self damage to mediums and make the accuracy almost nothing while jumping and shooting with it and make the granade bounce at close quarters . the pike needs needs more recoil. the v95 needs more recoil and a slower fire rate. the sniper rifle needs 0 hit scan and less ammo in the mag

Maybe no one here wants to hear this cus this tab looks like it's just for complaints, but something positive I've just realized. I have been gaming since long before "horse armor". In all the years, all the games, all the dlc & live services... The Finals is the 1st game that I have bought every battle pass from every season, without question. It is just "The Finals bill" @ this point. Cosmetics are always 5star, the game is so fun & addictive that I want to support it. New game modes, maps, events & qol adjustments every season. A new VERY creative take on the modern stale shooter. The devs are down to earth, talk to us constantly, support content creators( 1 of them even replied directly to me in a willfromwork stream chat) & they are actually open to feedback & criticism. My love of online shooters started with BF3 after a lifetime of single player & multiplayer RPGs mostly, so I was onboard from the moment I heard BF devs were making this game & my expectations have been blown out of the water. I want to thank them for everything from OB to S4 & beyond. I do h8 Kyoto, as it haunts my nightmares(beautiful but sucks to play on IMO). But I am 100% loving Fortune Stadium, a mix of all the maps minus Kyoto, feels like it was made just for me𤣠I love The Finals

CL-40 : Revert the Damage buff and add one grenade to the tube.
Pike : Decrease the damage per shot or increase the recoil.
The Med class now has the top three most powerful weapons in the game.
This is tortureš . Plus its not counting the fire damge lol only gas for the first challenge

I think Duel Blades need a buff. it's pretty inconsistent. I'd say give it bleed after two hits or a better deflect, or make the last hit double like the rest of it's combo or make the one or two of the animations faster. like the last hit or to deflect. Just a little more love somewhere.
Give the losing team some expressions! It would be cool to have them standing off to the side in the background, reacting to their loss while the winning team celebrates. It would add more personality and immersion to the game.

I dont know what happened with the finals on this season 4. I think its a way better season than season 3 but two problems i've found by playing just a little bit is that ranked is full of teams playing all three of the guys as medium with CL-40 and its actually very OP. The second thing is that game crushes every couple of times and that never happened to me before. I been playing since S1.

Spawn in fortune stadium when Cashout station on the right side of the Engimo area has a spawn that puts teams pushing the point in enemy sightlines near the corner jump pad in the large Holtow building on the side of the map.
I was just team spawned there and a team was watching with 2 pikes and started shooting at us before we knew where they were.
Fix performance issues that were created at the start of season 4.
Here is a list of changes that might make the dual blades viable:
-Damage Combo to 110, 120, 80
| Allows for kill combos with a quick melee
-Deflected Bullets can crit (uses crit mod from the deflected weapon)
| raises skill ceiling
-widen the deflect cone slightly
-blocks 50% of explosion damage

please revert back to the way the game performed prior to update 3.14.0, the game has been poorly optimized since that update and has not improved with the recent updates.
do the game devs not realize that balancing is not just about weapon damage but weapon characteristics as well? why would you buff grenade launcher because you felt that it wasn't doing as much damage as the other weapons and not realize that it's also AOE and like grenades you can play with it off wall rebounds...? ranked games are cancer with some weapons right now...
@verbal breach that sounds like a dumb idea quite honestly. You're asking for them to buff dual swords so that they're OP? Kill combos, wider cone, block HALF explosion dmg..? Then, in one of your points you ironically state one of the suggestions reasons as "raising the skill ceiling" š While all of the others significantly lower it. You already have something against all SMGs and those guys are defenseless without nades and mines (which take no skill to avoid if you're watching where they land). Huh? You expecting them to make that loadout invincible?... š¤Ø

The only way to do this is have your friend matchmaked together while not being in the same party but in the same match as the enemy, your friend must stand from far distance (50m) then keep headshotting your friend with a sniper until the contract is done

Can there be more customizations later on for the acceleration ramp and stuff? Apex Legends has these sorta options on controller and it severely helps people find their sorta ramp style and finely tune to find the sensitivity that works for them. If you added this people might stop complaining about AA and other nuances of controller.
Like for me personally I've had to spend hrs just trying to finely tune with poor tooling to get a semi comfortable acceleration pattern and that still is a stretch for me to say comfortably.
I personally like a much slower ramp up into a very steep curve, a inflection graph that slightly is a much more aggressive exponential curve (like between 2(x^2)+3 and 3(x^2)+3)
