Dagger main here, so far I am enjoying the game with dagger, however the current reworks has really pushed me to find a new playstyle. I find frustration in backstabs since sometimes, I am not sure if I actually charged the dagger enough. I feel like if there was a audible queue, or a flash animation to show that the dagger has fully charged, it would make it much easier to play dagger in a fast paced scenario. The current audio cue for the charging dagger is not quite audible to me when I am playing. I do not play much sword, so I do not know how those players handle the audio queues, but on dagger, it just does not feel right to play with. The changes to the dagger and vaulting have overall left dissapointment for me. I find myself vaulting to hold a backstab only to learn that my backstab was not even charging. It feels like dagger is overall a more slowpaced/methodical weapon than before, and vaulting feels kind of sluggish. I imagine that adding the ability to buffer a backstab like you can with a bow shot when vaulting would make the dagger feel much more enjoyable to use! This problem with vaulting is something that pops up most frequently when I play powershift, since you end up jumping the platform all the time. Another change that I find inconsistent/confusing, is that you dont even have the option to just rightclick dagger. I can see how maybe the same mechanism for sword was ported over, but the throwing knives have the option for both! I dont understand how you can add the option for both a click/hold for throwing daggers, but then did not add that to the dagger.
Overall, I feel like my experience with dagger in the new season has been fun because it is just something new to try out! I love the fact that you can hold the dagger backatab, HOWEVER, since the charge seems to have come from the sword, the weapon feels a lot less responsive, leading to a much less enjoyable experience compared its former mechanics.
CL-40 is just impossible man did they really buff them that hard, i just played a match where i was in a players face, he had low hp and he shot a grenade at his feet and he just didnt lose any health, is this normal ?

By allowing the community to create fan-made concepts and outfits using available items, TF has allowed its community to creatively flourish. However, we think, and there are others who have considered this idea as well within the community, that new community made items should be given the chance to be official and in-game.
This would not be the first time that such a thing exists in the world of gaming. Warframe's 'TennoGen' is one of the best examples of having the community be involved in the creative process. This engagement's potential is virtually limitless and invaluable for the game's longevity and community. It can be further sustained by giving the creator(s) a chance to be awarded through a variety of ways, in combination or merely by themselves:
(a) recognition,
(b) in-game or IRL payment,
(c) but most importantly a free (perhaps personalised) version of the very same item that will be immortalised in the world of TF.

For the map designs, could we stop having some massive blocks/backrooms inspired builds and go for things like
- a tropical beach with palm trees?
- Or a bank with offices and conference rooms and vaults?
- a swimming pool with locker rooms or even a waterpark resort
- a movie complex with a bunch of seats facing a giant screen
I get the game is about parkour/urban trail but it'd be nice to have a bit of the everyday life activities immersion.
Why the medium dosnt have smoke bomb 😡😡 noone use that item
while cl40 did need a buff from its previous state, im sure im not the only one who thinks its too strong now, especially in close quarters combat

I’m talking about the matchmaking and balancing not my skill my issue with the games matchmaking is that it forces everyone to always play at this try hard level I like sweating and getting high kill games and just winning overall but the matchmaking feels like it’s there to punish you when you’re doing you’re best and plus it’s quick match it should be chill. Personally I feel like the finals quick match should be as casual as possible for new players and anyone who wants to just enjoy the gameplay for what it is and ranked is obviously still there for people looking for a challenge when the whole game is a challenge there’s really no point

the damage is now great and should be kept the way it is, but it needs damage falloff for long-range fights, the dash needs to be reworked to mitigate the damage done to light. other than that it would be fair for everyone.
Hopefully Embark allows for MnK compatibility on console & allow for input segregation instead of console segregation.

I think Embark broke their servers. The network or their net code is making shits that should miss and have not been missing the past couple of days, miss today. I hope this gets fixed or it will spell the end of this game.
Remove losing ranked score when both your teammates leave the game, absolutely ridiculous. Can’t even play ranked, if this keeps happening definitely will be uninstalling
A couple things, after Season 3 launch, and how horriblely broken the LH1 was, I dunno how someone thought giving am even stronger LH1 to a 250 HP class with heals and movement was the move. It needs a nerf, bad, has zero downsides, close range far range, any range doesn't matter.
But The biggest thing wrong is ranked.
Three things
30% deposit
10% cash on wipe
and the "enhanced" spawns.
Because you get 30% of deposits to "combat third parties" you end up with something far worse.
Literally almost every game, the last cashout will get doubled by the number 1 or number 2 team and now they get a free pass in, while you have to fight 4 teams, but one team is just griefing who they want in.
You can't even punish the first place team because guess what? Only 10% on wipe so as second place team you just get bent and have to fight the whole lobby.
The spawns are horrible, I wiped a team on vault, and they literally spawned on the deposit point before I even had time to deposit it.
They get rewarded for losing the fight in the first place.
Spawns put losing teams in all kinds of positions to grief, it's insane.
buff the xp on rpg if your nerfing the damage on it
game is in terrible shape after balance changes, change your balancing team! make them play the game to see how it feels instead of looking at the powerpoint presentations

its actually not the same lh1. lh1 has better rate of fire compared to the pike. lh1 can deal more damage than pike within very small amount of time than pike even it has a 50 damage and it requires 3 body shots to take down a light. if u can manage to have better movements with lh1.in experience, try to improve the playstyle.
Maybe a revert will be best, I never used the weapon so I don't know how ridiculous linear is compared to impact, or maybe just buffing APS AOE & not let projectiles take so much health off.
Weapons should be destroying Aps not gadgets... The very thing it's supposed to counter.
Glitch grenades take away everything for a few seconds, at least allow APS to counter gadgets/ projectiles for a few more seconds.
They can be destroyed in 1 - 2 sec.

Yeah, no. This is absolutely a team game at heart. And if something sucks because it’s only good in a coordinated setting, that’s completely okay. Stun gun was reworked to be a teamfight tool, tracking dart is only really useful with a coordinated team, mesh shield was just okay without a coordinated team, etc.
If you don’t like the teamplay elements of this game, play bank it or respectfully just play call of duty instead of advocating for changes that go against the core design of the game.

Cashout is horrible now. And seems geared (combined with the nerfs) to favour aggro streamer types, with all the strategy and risk removed.
I've quit (for the time being at least - maybe for good) because all signs seem to me like the game is at the start of a sellout phase, where it's just going to end up as CoD with jump pads.
I'll be back in a few weeks to check out my Emerald 1 rewards. But if they haven't reverted any of the horrible S4 rebalancing, i'll consider it a sign to move on before the real rot sets in.

the amount of time you have to spend grinding for weapons is crazy.
Also I wouldnt nerf the grenade launcher or the pike. Just buff counters to it. Mesh shield is decent for countering long range weapons, buff that. Heavy with his large hp is strong to nade launcher, buff heavy in general
Why would you want to use a light build?
There are three builds with health: 150, 250, and 350. Choosing a build with only 150 is foolish unless you're skilled enough to know that you won't die if you don't get hit by enemy attacks.
If you don't have that kind of skill, it's only natural that you'll die if you use it!
I just ran into severe lag tonight. Made it to the finals in WT only to be unable to help my team as I was struggling with freezes and rollbacks all the time. I hope the next patch is focused on performance improvements and a few balance changes because this will seriously make people lose interest for the game fast.

I believe it's because in high *Elo if you can't do Combo plays you're USELESS to the team... Most *L are used to stomping pubs, but hit a skill wall when playing ranked. Mobility can be predicted if played recklessly. I believe the problem is majority of players trying *L don't play to practice around the team, like *M & *H are typically expected to.
*L players will focus on a *Fun experience typically. focusing on staying alive & getting kills through mobility, however a typical mistake I see *L doing is not rotating back to team. Losing utility from tools like Mesh, Dome, Heal B., & Defib, used to be *L best lifeline when near death, or trying to reset.

Charge and slam is super fun and balanced to play against. Think it's a great idea to give an instant "win me this fight" button
again I aint saying this game isn't a team game, however, we already have team games where other teams rely on players having the correct "metas" and "roles" so many times over, and I think this game benefits by having people think outside the box when it comes to personal plays away from the team. I shouldn't get yelled at by other players for not running the "correct" weapons, gadgets, specializations, etc. If I know how to make myself useful to the team on my own, then I should be left alone. right now medium is a generalist class, they can have a team of mediums and still work together properly. They can act on their own individually. when you play melee on medium, you would become dependent on your team to be useful outside of your area. light has to work around other teammates to make themselves be viable. However, whenever there are 3 lights on a team, they tend to fall apart. yet you want to know why light players complain about the class being weak? It's because they can't act independently away from the team because of their health and movement while firing being slow. they have to rely on 3rd partying/cheesing to make themselves useful in teams of light. if they only gave him a way to avoid damage and make themselves better in combat other than a dash, then they wouldn't have the problem of dying quickly. Half of heavys weapons are short-ranged. you have to rely on other teammates to use the short-range weapons in the game. if we are having rooftop battles and I'm carrying a sledgehammer. at best, I place barricades for my team. at worst, it becomes a 2 v 3. We shouldn't restrict heavy to relying on their teammates for that half of the weapons to be usable otherwise. being able to be independent on their own puts less pressure on other teammate's classes, and less pressure makes class player teamwork better if not more fulfilling. we don't need casual to bank off of every player working together constantly, that will only make the community more toxic

You are just describing good game design though. Classes need to have downsides to remain balanced.
You’re kinda right about light but the reason they die fast isn’t because they only have a dash, it’s because the dash is relatively bad and in higher elo, players can just track it.
Instead of saying “heavy should be able to have long range weapons to take ranged fights” just tell your team to avoid certain areas where your team comp would play poorly. It’s a huge element of strategy in this game to play around areas that fit your team comp and loadout. This game is already very loose with how it does class roles. Light can play in a million different playstyles and provide value for the team in many different ways. Heavy can play offensively with charge and winch or defensively with goo gun and mesh shield (RIP).
The issue of being yelled at for not taking the correct loadout is just a balancing issue, especially with mediums not taking defib or heal beam. That can be fixed though.
Everyone I know that plays this game is in love with the teamplay aspect of it. I think the real best way to fix the issue is by adding an LFG menu in game and better social features so you can match with other people who can see your loadout before joining

So a weapon that kills a light in 2 shots that you don't even have to aim, is better than a shotgun in close quarters. It is balanced and healthy for the game yes?

Why is the start of every season so overtuned?
The Pike is dominating every ranked match now, if you don't have a pike player you're basically throwing. AK nerf hits so hard its unplayable if a cl40 or pike exists in the match.
The CL40 absolutely obliterates in close quarters even against the Model
Light's got the XP nerfed so it can't even try to counter the Pike and it loses to M11 with a red dot.
Heavies only option is charge n slam because of mesh shield changes

get rid of the fire penalty on the double-barrel, literally every light weapon kills you before you can fire your second shot.
And fix whatever you did to ziplines, If you go across the zipline on vegas now it just throws you off the end instead of dropping you on the platform like it used to.
Also fix the performance loss and crashes you introduced in 3.14
I just wanted to point out that it is incredibly unfair to have your rank tanked because your teammates keep leaving the match and or you keep placing with crazy high ranks for placement matches

-Add a visual indicator of when the backstab is charged
-Remove the strange wind in ur ear AUDIO when u charge the dagger secondary cause it sounds terrible and you cant hear it mid fight at all.
there isn’t an accurate visual or audio cue that backstab is ready while holding,ADD a glint to the tip of the dagger blade and a ting sound to show its ready.
U can BOTH single click and hold throwing knife secondary attack but u can’t with dagger stab,plz fix it!!!!

you want to know why heavys are now using ranged weapons and charge n slam more now after this update? It's because they can still be independent and can help the team in fights no matter what, with now that the shields are nerfed and RPG isn't usable for damage from afar for short-ranged heavys. they can be self-sufficient and can help the team no matter the situation. people don't like to talk in games, we shouldn't balance a game only on the aspect of ranked. people don't want to talk/type to people when playing a game casually, we shouldn't expect people to get along in a game unless it's something like ranked. heavy melee players in casual shouldn't have to talk to people to make group decisions. the RPG was good for those short-ranged weapons so that they can provide that extra bit of range when heavy needs it. I mentioned earlier that I wanted to give heavy a secondary, one that would force close-ranged players deal damage medium-range to at least follow up close ranged, it would take the role of the RPG but it has a lot more focus on player damage rather than destruction. I know the idea of having the loadouts and strategies are nice when they fit like puzzle pieces forming a team structure, that fits together to make a force to be reckoned with sounds nice in theory. however, this is the same design for Overwatch along with many other mobas that exist in the market. games that rely on other players to do jobs/actions makes people hostile at times. you've seen it in League of Legends, you've seen it in Overwatch. this game relies on it being chaotic for gamemodes like Cashbox, it would not make sense for gameplay about order and working together in unison to be used in a game where "this is the correct strategy/defense" when the building can collapse the defense of a team holding the cashout. no class should risk themselves having glaring weaknesses on themselves in order to help out the rest of the team, it should benefit everyone when working together.
To achieve that they need to be equal in power
That means either:
A. nerfing these 2
Or
B. Buffing everything else
Buffing everything else is a bad idea imo
Non-problematic items like frags would become incredibly frustrating, as they would either need a damage up (enabling 1-shots), aoe imcrease (meaning you have a way harder time escaping) or amount buff (more spam)
Now do that for everything else
Also make sure that in an attempt to get it balanced for medium, it doesnt become too strong for the other classes compared to their kit
Its way more work
Will likely cause tons of issues
And instead of making problem items less annoying, we just end up making non issue items problematic instead

I quite often start a ranked game and there's either no third or they keep trying and failing to join, in these scenarios could we not count the negative RS change or something, feels so punishing to be forced to play (without getting suspended) a basically unwinnable game, stuck getting destroyed for 15 mins and then as a reward lose 1200 RS 😦
I believe it's since "resetting" is harder to do in S4. I.M.O having at least one person run Mesh, or Heal B. Is absolutely necessary to make a game like the finals work. Otherwise people will keep complaining about lights, low Health and weapons. TTK
#👂┇game-feedback message @regal salmon losing High risk factors, & Utilitie has made the game revert to more 2 dimensional playstyle we've already seen in the past. I believe players not needing to care how they play a squad life was a bad move that only made sense in a professional environment. Most players will just continue to aimlessly play TDM until they spawn on the objective. Embark should discourage sloppy gameplay & encourage teamwork. I don't know why they keep nerfing Support & Defense

In my case experienced players can just play the OBJECTIVE & run circles around the competition because they don't understand the point of a game. I've been playing since S1 & even I am wondering how pacing will work in this new meta if it even works at all. Forcing players to use gadgets over specialization was a step in the wrong direction I.M.O & only Highlights how slow using gadgets is in the middle of combat. specialization should continue to be a great tool for player & team to combo off of.
Overwatch actually has an extremely large casual audience that is bigger than its competitive audience. Games can be designed with teamplay in mind without it making a negative impact on how casual plays.
Also, most heavies are using ranged weapons (Lewis and deagles) because they’re inherently broken on the class as well as heavy no longer having mesh shield to defend itself. Giving the class with the most HP the ability to take long range duels is a recipe for disaster. That’s not even really a teamplay thing either, that’s just the build having limitations. Even if the game was made for solo play, classes should still have limtations. Or else what is the point of having different classes in the first place?
Also, a ton of people are more than willing to play with VC on. The LFG channels here are super active and so are the VCs. An LFG feature in game would work wonders.
And melee heavies can still make up for their lack of range by sacrificing their special slot for winch claw. You’re not going to get the same range that a teammate with a gun would provide but that’s definitely a good thing. Trade offs keep loadout builds interesting. Even call of duty has trade offs in loadouts and that’s a very solo oriented game
The topic is very interesting though. I think there’s more things embark could do to enhance both the solo and squad experience
Two things we should have in season 4.
- Random customization combo
- The ability to emote in lobby

Why is the pike better close range than the deagles?
From platin and above , you have every battle minimum 1 cheater team. Blatant cheating , they know that the anti cheat is a joke.
Can we fix the unbearable lag in this game right now as well as all the other shit everyone is saying. Seasons 1-3 I’m sitting here fine playing, and here we are SZN 4 I’m basically playing doom from 1998 with the frames dropping to like 3. I’m chill honestly with the game but if I’m literally fighting the game itself and other people on top of it I think that’s a pretty unfair disadvantage (let me know if anyone else is experiencing this shit)
Deagles need a nurf, why I am getting 3 shot for hella far away
Fix the performance issues, memory leak and crashes introduced in 3.14. I have crashed 6 times since 3.14 which is probably more than I've crashed since launch.
Fix Vegas. Vegas has so many bugs, vegas sandstorm has multiple buildings where textures stretch over holes when you blow up floors. On normal vegas you can blow up the parking structure wall and the wall will appear to still be whole but you can walk through it. If you take the zipline across Fremont street it will throw you off the end instead of putting you down on the walkway.
improve the netcode, it has been getting progressively worse since launch and it feels the worst now than it's ever been. there's no point running behind cover ever because the enemy still sees you for like an entire 2 seconds on their client after you run behind cover. I use the double-barrel since you ruined the LH1 and the game will constantly give me 12dmg shots because it registers the shot where the player will be instead of where the character actually is when I fire, single fire guns have ALWAYS been terrible because of this yet you buff every aspect of the sword and now it can kill people from 10 feet away like the sledge already shouldn't be able to. Sometimes movements feel like everything is soaked is molasses, including my aim.
90% of my games are shit where I literally can't do anything, I'm just dead the whole game because I get shot at before I even come around a corner and none of my shots register.
I've been here literally since the start and im so fucking beyond frustrated. I want to enjoy this game and it's literally become an unhealthy addiction chasing the fucking fun that happens less than 5% of the time. It's painfully obvious why this game can't hold new players.

The pike is S1 FCAR all over again, it has absurd DPS, easy to use and handle, and is great overall in range. I don't know how you didn't learn from S1 FCAR and no matter what on how many people say "But it's balanced it needs skill!" it doesn't, just like the S1 FCAR it will be the the primary pick for most of the season just because it is obsolete and more broken than the other options. Reduce this things fire rate or something, this thing shouldn't be so damn oppressive.

Ok so what if embark cooked up a bank it style game mode where cash deposited acts as a match specific currency that can be used to buy event style gadgets that can be used against other players and or to target objectives of some sort, maybe even just make kills the goal for each team

CL40 needs to do more self damage
ranged-weapons get kills if not deter players from being around a heavys point of view, it helps the team buy time by either aiding in fights, killing players or being a deterrent, all of which can waste time for the enemy team. without the long-range deterrent used to stop players from taking pot shots, heavy used to bunker down whenever they were getting bombarded. now that mesh shield and dome shield are nerfed, ranged heavy doesn't have a solution whenever they are caught off guard when in ranged now. that is good, that is what I wanted to change. However, melee heavy is a different story. they can't retaliate whenever they are being shot from a distance. they are effectively this free target whenever you are at a range of 15-20 meters. heavy players have to stay in the shadows to be effective, much like the light for how they have to do hit-and-run tactics limiting their area of influence. heavy can't be this macho man class that can defend an area for the team if they can get shot at from afar. which is why there are a lot of ranged heavys now. the RPG was good for melee since it was a way to bridge the gap to kill people faster, securing kills more when getting close to the enemy at a distance. the way that heavy melee plays out now is that they have to stick close to their team to do something productive against short-ranged classes and once in a while throw a shield down, which is not fun for the people who played melee previously. its limits the role of one to to punish the more powerful role. sure you could use winch claw however the range stops at around 13 meters and it doesn't stop the problems of dash lights dodging out of your melee attack, and its also not fun to fight against as well because of it stunning players getting grabbed. winch claw was a short-term solution to an issue that melee heavy was facing. I am not dissing Overwatch, but there was a reason why there was manditory roles done in casual. I dont want that happening to the game.

I would love to see static rewards for making into the top 500 in the different game modes. A diamond/emerald/ruby/amathist sticker for touching top 500 in terminal attack, powershift, quickcash, etc would be super cool way for players to flaunt and give an achievable grind-able goal to players who don't intend to play ranked.

I love this game I heard they're gonna be thinning out the emerald rewards I got 7 wins in one day as emerald four, are they gonna be taking it away based off of how I do this season? Focusing on "Close range Combat" I don't use melee weapons, but this makes sense. If you want cover heavy used to have to most reliable, & a entire combo is broken, plus *H is even more dependent on teammates, also having the worst range & mobility puts the class at a huge disadvantage when you also take into consideration heal B. also got Nerfed...
When was the last time *L gadgets got nerfed? Stun? The other most broken gadget in the game. Not because of the kill potential, but because you can interrupt a entire comeback when objective is supposed to take priority over kills.(You should be able to steal while stunned) Support & Defense not being able to elevate squad potential is making The Finals gameplay feel like CoD. I.M.O

A specialization should definitely be the best *Utility a player has... Goo should not be a better shield than mesh. Mesh shined as a quick & reliable shield not only for player but for team. If it was so "overpowered", it was only because *L typically use gadgets selfishly.
Gateway, & vanishing bomb are hardly ever used for the team. Glitch grenades were hardly used at all & now they don't even need one of the most OP gadgets in the game at that... It be like if *M could stick a hard res twice as fast... That's the extent Embark has nerfed Heal B., Mesh , & Defib, Dome in Favor of *L.
Can we put a 5-7 second delay on orbital lasers? I’m standing still shooting a distant player. Orbital lasers strike down almost immediately when standing still. I’ll move after a few shots down range.

Dash lights are bugged. They can dash through goo locks and freshly placed goo. I had the privilege of fighting a Sword light when I could not goo lock them.

thank you for agreeing with me on that. the thing is, stun gun should have never been introduced into the game. it was a weapon that hid the problems that light currently has today, and it was bad design from the start. now that it is tame enough for ranged players to counter players who stun off on their own, people rarely complain about it other than melee players and people playing objective. it's still a bad design choice, however, heavy has a goo gun that can also disrupt objective stealing as well. nobody really wins when it comes down to if one is more powerful, other than both are pretty busted when known how to use it. Heavy can tank damage and medium can take a few hits, light players can at least get two shot by pretty much everything. horizontal movement during combat would help shake the issues lights been having. it would make explosives not deathtraps (like the cl40,) it would force players to think about where they're gonna go next horizontally. It would also give the option of light players controlling how far they travel while jumping, having control of your jump vertically would make it harder for more skilled players to predict for semi auto weapons. I notice that light players tend to stick to the vanish bomb like how heavy tended to stick to the RPG. we need light to not rely on gadgets that make them more independent off on their own. the reason being that they just need to be independent in general and they don't need to waste 2 out of 3 gadget slots trying to fix a broken boat. they shouldn't need the crutch to operate normally. because it's not a healthy class if done so. I don't see a reason why ranged light players shouldn't have vanish bomb. however, melee players might not like this change if they nerfed it. so might be the same scenario as the RPG. I don't play enough melee light and I would love people to continue the convo about this when I'm gone from this board. I hope the devs can bounce back after this setback.
Don't know where else to put this "feedback," but if the music guys (Carl and company?) would do a stream or something, I think there's a good chance it would be awesome. Even just going through the OST track by track, talking about influences, things players might not notice, and stuff like that. I get that the community stream thing is more Oscar's job, and I certainly wouldn't want to disrupt the music guys' creative process ahead of S5 (right?), but doing something like that might be easier than producing one those flashy "How the Finals Is Made" videos, awesome as those have been. Anyway, either way, I'm obviously digging the S4 OST. Big props.
Feedback from someone who has vast knowledge in fps: it is INSANE that sights were added to the game with no negative effects to the gun when they are applied. This has always been one of the only fps games that had actual balanced guns until now. For example, FCAR has more recoil and less bullets than the AKM so it should have a sight over it. Same with the XP54 compared to the M11. The LH1 SHOULD NOT have a sight as it is of the best guns in the game already AT ALL RANGES. Please apply consequences to adding a sight to guns as it is very much needed for the balance of the game.
Stun Gun shouldn't have 2 v 2 potential in combat & *Objective. After .5 seconds you should be able to steal while stunned. I.M.O
1 gadget shouldn't have so much control of the game, Even Gravity cube can be broken if used on a cash out.
Adding the inability to steal as a status effect may be 1 too many quirks for a gadget.

I keep getting a TFGE 0000 error code every time I even adjust my loadout, the game resets loadouts I've tried to edit the past few days, and I play one fucking match of WT and second round it fucking DCs me. can we remove the skull system in the scoreboard. third parties are annoying and still a huge problem in this game. removing the skull in the scoarboard would help mitigate this by not feeding teams the info as to when a team is eliminated.
just because one of the utilities for heavy got nerfed into the ground and now everyone is using it over mesh shield doesn't mean it was overpowered to begin with. it just means it was the second best option for ranged heavys.

The game already has most things *L needs to be the BEST at combat... It is already the best class at "dodging more damage"(however all S3 i asked for specialization buffs for the class, so I agree & share your sentiment) it was the class that could rotate back to support easiest. Now NOBODY wants to run heals, or mesh... *L also has the most utility, & most versatile gadgets having the best breach, & transportation in the game. Meanwhile *M is the only class that doesn't even have breach or sonar.
*L players just want to lead(through offense), but can't admit they actually need support or defense, Or that they should be supporting and defending the *objective. Not just mindlessly looking for kills, either because of skill issues, or just being kill hungry.
Embark nerfing Mesh, Dome, Heal B. Defib, when light has the perfect counter to all of it...
A small buff to make them blow up on impact & all of a sudden Glitch grenades are the perfect counter to EVERYTHING in the game except good aim...
Instead of expecting more out of *L players Embark just took more utility & potential from *H & *M.
Heal B. & Mesh, were also the best counter both classes had against *L mobility since they can't rotate or reset as fast as *L.
I don't know who is in charge of balancing, but I hope they play more ranked Cash out. it doesn't seem they have enough awareness of how time & tracking works in that game mode.

S4 is turning into CoD
All utilitie from specialization, gadgets, weapons without a doubt set The Finals apart, Ak losing 4 bullet isn't a big deal for ttk, but when you take into consideration it was one of the few weapons that chipped away at turretns huge health, & Mesh Well deserved health. It made sense for *L to be able to 1 shot the classes specializations while *H & *M have to empty an ENTIRE clip just to make a significant dent not to mention now your stuck in a reload animation, or not enough bullets to kill the person in front of you.
*L just has so much potential to handle utility. The only hurdle it can seem to jump over is Damage.
&
DEFENSE & SUPPORT has almost entirely been removed from the Meta. Gadgets will not replace it's presence in my opinion.
These nerfs only make sense in quick play, something as simple as not being able to put a mine on the front & back entrance is so limiting for awareness, now *M can't even get a hit marker on top losing scoreboard information?

I get DC'd in game one and come back to win and then proceed to going to the finals, then winning the whole tournament. I then proceed to lose RS after spending time an effort to win these matches just to lose RS; but I'm winning the match. I want my RS back due to the Finals failure, once again they have not came out with a decent update to fix these issues. The mods I have tagged can you get my issue up to someone who can fix this problem? What is the point in playing this shitty ass game if I'm going to win these matches just to lose RS? I was top 500 last season and diamond almost every season before, these issues need to be fixed asap. I'll be damned if I keep playing this game if these issues keep persisting. I suggest everyone in this discord to follow quilting this game until the Finals actually takes time to fix the issues.
This is the worst I think this game has ever felt for me....Not even talking about meta or balance or anything. Things feel inconsistent, fps is worse across the board. The new map is cool and all but it doesnt run too well when things break, and it doesn't seem to have any variations? (I think, I cant remember if Ive seen one at all.) Scopes are neat but they kinda seem to throw off balance by adding even more variables. It's only the first week so maybe I'll change my mind. But I only seem to get frustrated every time I play. :(
Only problems I've been having thus far with season 4 is:
-Many crashes
-Tons and tons of team mates leaving matches, even at the start.
-Daily contract timer reset bugged out and didn't reset for me at all.

I agree on some points. yes embark just took away more than buffing classes, I understand the logic of why mesh shield was nerfed, it was too effective at bunkering and wasting time for objectives at the time. however, they needed to find a substitute for heavy to do other than just bunkering for the short-ranged weapons. I understood why the healing beam was nerfed, it was overpowered when 2 medics were healing one guy since the healing stacked. however, they only needed to nerf healing beam stacking and they would have made it feel fair for everyone involved. I understood that there were aspects that made medium and heavy work together like peanut butter and jam. but light doesn't need to break up that aspect of teamwork between the two classes to make it fair for himself. I know that glitch grenade counters medium and heavy, but it shouldn't be the final answer for the role given to light, it shouldn't be that gadget that improves the character to making them become independent from the team, imagine making the argument of medium needing to constantly carry the APS turret pre-nerf to hard counter grenade spam and op grenade launchers back then, it would be oppressive for everyone involved, including the medium carrying it since it invites no changes in strategy. if you were a medium taking out a 750 hp dome shield that lasted 12 seconds, it would have been a pain to go against. if you were a heavy going against another heavy with two medics healing him at 100hp a second, it would not have been a fair fight. these aspects of the nerfs were justified for not only light, but for every class. They did it wrong and that is why people are up in arms right now. also, another thing to note, heavy can just place a pyro mine and an explosive mine together in order to kill mediums. this is dangerous because now heavys that need defense will double down on the annoying parts of going up against a defending heavy and make it unfun for all parties involved.

The finals needs to add a true streamer mode, a major problem in ranked is getting name sniped, either if your streaming or if your a known good player. People shouldn’t be forced to suffer if your a good person in your lobby and being known. An example of this is when a team recognizes your name from last game, you beat them hard and now they make it their life’s mission to get you out to increase their odds. Games like valorant don’t have this problem as they hide the streamers name ingame as well. The problem isn’t stream sniping it’s name sniping
Everybody knows how the lobby background lights up with the sponsor you chose. It would be a cool addition if when squaded up with players of different sponsors, it would light up the background with their sponsor as well.

All you're really going to encourage is people to report and block any particularly good, or particularly bad, player with a Streamer mode. If they can't avoid you by name, they'll avoid you by, well, avoiding you.
@fleet quiver Monkey's paw time: done, you get a tank but you can't drive upwards so you're stuck on ground level of wherever you're at. You also can't get out of it unless your tank is destroyed, which it never will be because it has 10k hp so you're stuck for the entire game. Lastly, due to its weight, it destroys stuff as it falls from the sky upon being summoned, so any floating platforms or high points, the tank crushes through them.

If a teammate leaves or disconnects in a ranked match my rank score should not change. It's dumb and it's unfair that I get punished for playing a match with a huge disadvantage. We're in the fourth season and people still leave or have connection issues and still their teammates get punished for it. The penalty is only half of the solution.

Too exploitable. You're in a party with a buddy and you know you're gonna lose with a minute left? He alt-F4s to stop you from losing points, eats the time penalty and next time, you alt-F4 to save him the points.

They could implement it for players that did not queue in a squad with you, but considering most high-rank play is made of preformed parties, this would do nothing to address the problem.

Great game, but intro emotes wise I have a suggestion. What if a team of 3 with matching emotes in the intro combine to create a group emote. For example, the door buster emote could instead of having 3 doors, have one door buster and 2 roll out afterwards. Other emotes could also be cool and this would enhance the amount of coins spent as users will want to match to have the team emote in the intro.

@carmine token Players should not be punished for playing without a teammate. I don't know how many times I need to say this. If a player's game really crashed, they can just reconnect. If it keeps happening then stop and wait for the patch. My game has been crashing daily in S3, some day I simply could not play at all because of this. When it wasn't too bad I would re-launch the game and reconnect, I've gotten a penalty maybe 5 times when I'd get stuck on infinite loading. After all that I would still rather take the penalty for disconnecting than be punished unfairly when I don't. Imagine if kids in school weren't allowed to go to the bathroom in the middle of class just because some of them would use that time to slack off.

Make the cashout station's timer freeze when capturing it -- or at least prevent it from going from 99% to 100% when it's being captured.
The way it is now completely prevents you from making lots of comeback plays and allows defenders to do way too many degenerate plays like simply leaving the box altogether when there's no time to capture it left.
Xp 54, stun gun, invis, throwing knives all got nerfed. Medium should be support, not damage, so it makes no sense for them to have the most op weapons

If you really can't figure out why, then there's multiple reasons.
The devs have made it clear that they want the defenders to be at an advantage. Multiple changes have been made to encourage defending rather than stealing - the 30/70 split for whoever inserts the box first is one. The extra 1 second of time they added to how long it takes to steal during mid-season 3 is another. And lastly, the Defender Bonus, allowing you to respawn faster if you have an active cashout is a third. All of these changes have been made by devs to encourage people to defend, because clearly, they thought that attackers were at an advantage, especially third-party attackers.
The fact that you have limited time to steal encourages attackers to play aggressively and risky in order to steal. You want all of the risk to instead land on the defenders. As is, attackers have to preoccupy, out-strategize or defeat a whole team to steal. Instead, you want some Light to be able to dash in, steal for five seconds to stall the timer, dash off, rince, repeat and keep the cashout going for 3 or 4 minutes instead of 2 while they casually take their time to steal. This also encourages third-partying even more since the box is active for longer, which some people have complained has only gotten worse in this season.
What problem are you even trying to solve? The fact that some teams will leave with 15 seconds left in the cashout? I'm sorry but no, you don't deserve to steal a cashout that's been defended 90% of the way without putting in a bit of effort, to either get there in time or to defeat the team earlier. Your "degenerate plays" simply don't happen often enough to matter, compared to how often bullshit steals and third-partying already happen and how much more often they would happen in your ideal scenario.
I have already suggested adding packs with old soundtracks from previous seasons to the game. But even cooler is to add the ability to create your own playlist from different tracks from all packs. And I think it would be appropriate to give out packs from previous seasons to those who were already playing the game at that time.
I think that the RS distribution of a lobby should be made so teams are constricted so that they are near the RS averege of the lobby, not that players are put in teams with other near their RS.
I try to watch new players and streamers whenever they try the finals, and based on what I've seen and your recent player breakdown many are trying but few are committing to the finals long term.
I've mentioned this before but watching today re-confirmed that the VRs + weapon unlocks take too long, resulting in people leaving. I think you should earn them at 2x the current rate. People were struggling with dash sword and didn't really think about items to use as a counter (ie glitch mines) and when they did want to try something the grind to unlock was too long. The main reaction was to rage and claim xxx thing I'm dying to now shouldn't be in the game.
Another point later could be to have a blurb on abilities that says (via icons or something) that this combination is useful vs this random ability or combination. Once they figured out how to position and run glitches the dash light problem was solved.
I think this could help a lot with the new player experience and hurt the game less for experienced players by giving them strategies to deal with things rather than nerfs that hurt at higher skill levels.

However, the matchmaking has been broken since Season 2. In Season 3, I didn't play much ranked because it was TA, and I detest that game mode. I thought that during that season, meaning Season 3, you were working on the matchmaking to have something decent for Season 4, but I see that this issue continues from Season 2.
My matchups make no sense, neither in terms of rank nor in terms of the dedication to the game, which is evident when I compare my number of kills and revives with those of my teammates. And when I look at the other teams, they are with the people who should be matched with me, but instead, I'm playing against them.
I'm saying all this from the perspective of someone who plays solo, without a team. When can we expect improvements in matchmaking for solo players? Seriously, we've been like this since Season 2, it's very frustrating.
Note: I've even had people on my team who said in chat that they were playing ranked for "fun" in the sense of playing "quick play." This is a bad joke.
Note 2: I don't mind if it takes longer to find a game as long as it improves the current experience. I'd rather wait more than 2 minutes or however long it takes than wait 10 seconds and end up with a team with zero skill.

DualSword : deflect need more accuracy and better radius
CL40 : 105dmg/ammo or revert buff and give +1ammo in mag
Turret : reduce cooldown without recall and with recall. actually it deals no damage and all gadget can counter it easily, definitley the most useless skill
R.357 : less good than model at short range and less good than pike at long range. almost all M weapons are better than R.357 please reduce damage falloff or give faster reload or better hipfire accuracy I don't know
Riot shield : REMOVE THE FIRE EFFECT WHICH INFINITE BURN US ON THE SHIELD

Make it so Elo losses and gains can be affected by your team comp. Eg: HHM should lose more RS than a HLL or Triple Light team if they lose a tournament
The Grenade Launcher is oppressive, Meanwhile Nerf heavys mesh to the ground but buff the medium GL? 
Yes, I understand they want defenders to have the advantage, but that doesn't mean there shouldn't be ways for offense to still clutch the station at all. Obviously you can give unique advantages to each side. And notice, if the station is stolen in the middle of a team fight and then the defenders win the fight, it allows them the opportunity to reclaim the box -- meaning it doesn't purely just help attackers.
Yes, in theory, with my first suggestion of pausing the timer whenever it's being captured, you can have someone stalling the box repeatedly. Except you're kind of ignoring the fact that capturing a station is, you know, the most vulnerable you can be? You instantly alert the defenders to your position and are literally a still target. It's not a free play. And if you're still that worried about the stalling, then just take my 2nd suggestion and make it just prevent the timer from completing if in the middle of a capture -- that would prevent stalls.
The problem isn't obviously just preventing defenders from leaving the station early. It's that when your team gets wiped and either station is 50% complete already by the time you respawn, then there's usually not enough time to even walk over and capture it -- let alone the teamfight that must be done. For this same reason, the final 2-team round always devolves into just a single teamfight around the cashout station -- because there's simply no time for any clutch plays.
And what's the drawback of this suggestion? You delegate ONE person to shooting any last-second capturers. Is that really such a big deal?
btw just want to tack on that it's currently hard to tell at what point a station is beyond capturing... or when it's too late
Great idea, so if you crash and can’t rejoin, wich actually happens a lot, then you just can’t play for a day.
I think if you really look at how most games tend to go, steals either happen so early on that it doesn't matter, or so late that it does. The bullshit you have to pull to steal with just enough time left - the body-blocking, delegating who should steal based on their class and HP, the positioning, keeping the other players occupied, choosing whether to Heal the person stealing or shoot the person trying to stop them from stealing... and a million other choices, become less important to both sides.
There's many times I've made the steal right at the end with barely a second left. Many more times where I failed because of that timer. I think grabbing a cashout at 99% while two people are dead on each team and the third player is desperately trying to make his way there would lead to more frustration at the attackers having the advantage. Maybe not as bad as it initially seems to me, but there's a difference between losing a cashbox at 90% (upsetting) vs losing one at 99% (rage-quit inducing).
You also underestimate who's at the advantage when a steal is happening - it's not the defenders. My team's most common strategy is fakeout-steals to lure anyone who might be trying to rez or recover HP out into the open. It works every time.
Delegating one person to stay behind wouldn't work, since you just need two to counteract a full team ambush last-second. Steal, lure the solo out, two people shoot him and steal again. Since the steal timer stops, there's enough time to take one guy out comfortably. This requires a minimum of two players, probably all three to stay back.
This also makes double-cashouts virtually impossible to defend. I mean hell, defending against three teams is already a miracle to pull off, especially with people constantly coining, but with a timer being paused constantly by 9 people?
Just picture that construction site middle-area of Seoul where people CONSTANTLY do a double cashout - that cashout will last the entire damn round.

I would love to see a Pike and Model nerf. They have been so meta and it is out of control. Lights stand no chance and heavies get gunned down. I think this is the worst the medium meta has been so I think changing these weapons would create a more balanced and fair ranked play! Also role queue would be great!

Okay, you've convinced me my 1st suggestion (timer pauses whenever it's mid-steal) isn't so great, but you haven't convinced me that my 2nd suggestion (making it so the timer doesn't complete when there's an ongoing steal) is bad. Let's ignore the 1st suggestion and focus on the 2nd.
Upon thinking over it further, it honestly doesn't seem to me that any of what you said about the timing of when you pull off (or fail) a last-second steal would actually be any different with my 2nd suggestion. You would still have steals right at the end with barely time left, and you would still miss steals because the timer just barely expired. Think about it: as it currently stands, there's only so much time you have to start stealing the cashout before it becomes impossible to take, anyway. So my suggestion primarily just makes it more intuitive when is it truly too late -- when the timer is actually fully up, not when it's awkwardly ~80% there. If you really want to maintain the exact same timings we currently have as to when you can or can't steal, just make the cashout station complete like 5 seconds faster (or however fast the stealing process is) -- then, that way, it's practically the same game but with better visual indicators as to when stealing is or isn't still possible.

@coarse jetty You completely misunderstand how balancing around skill works.
Objectively speaking, when assuming good skill and accuracy in the lobby, CL-40 is NOT the most powerful in ANY situation other than having 2 or 3 enemies bearhugging each other. The only other niche it has is doing low chip damage around corners with splash. Otherwise, it does less DPS and has a slower TTK than literally every hitscan option, all while being a dodgeable projectile that self-damages.
Now, yes, the weapon does have a low skill floor, and in lobbies where people frequently miss hitscan, CL-40 can be comparatively strong. If you want to mitigate this, you can e.g. reduce the splash radius, which primarily affects the skill floor and not the ceiling as much. But again, even if you hit 100% shots right now, every other (non-melee) option usurps it in some way.

- fix spawns: we keep spawning in same place enemies can just camp spawns once again. its really bad in some maps like skyway stadium when you spawn next to mansion and there is team on roof nearby already spraying us down 1 sec after spawning
- leave cl40 as it is: after 2 seasons of throwing knives spam lights deserve to get deleted if they look at medium wrong way
please Add Streamer Mode and hiding points in ranked, this current version is borderline unplayable and uncompetitive with 2-3 teams on the same cashout every game trying to grief out the 1 competent 3 stack in the lobby, which just results in everyone who is mentally stable that has hit diamond just avoiding ranked because its not worth it rn, we play 3-6 games to make up for one loss while getting hard targeted 24/7.

Please give melee weapons a default movement speed boost while equipped. With the nerfs to support specializations and gadgets, closing distance is harder than ever for Medium and Heavy melee players. (Don't even get me started on the 'get out of jail free' card that is Dash and Stun Gun against melee.)

One thing that I want to mention is that the flashing lights in this game are too severe and makes my eye hurt so bad after a couple games.
For example: when you are entering the arena at the first of the game, or when you are revived with either defib or normally.

charge n slam was second best before the nerfs for Mesh Shield. I don't know why we need to nerf the specialization when you can just nerf the range on the guns. melee heavy can run charge n slam and its an active challenge to land a hit since you are playing all melee. @torn canyon yes and there are tons of ranged players that use it to cover up their weaknesses in short range, it's why its commonly used in the first place now. it's not that it was a bad item though. all that these nerfs do is make it harder and harder to play melee for heavy, because first they nerfed RPG so that chip damage isn't reliable from afar. then they nerfed mesh shield and dome shield as well so that melee heavys couldn't hold a point/push toward fights. at this point, now the specialization that can crowd up close will be nerfed? whats the upside for playing only short-range heavy? since 2 out of the 3 classes can just outrun you. That is the problem, the ranged roles are punishing the melee roles, and it's not fun to see this ruin the aspect of melee. if you are skilled with a sledgehammer you can heavy attack a charge n slam. if you have movement, you can run circles around the charge. if they buffed the charge after S4, then yeah I now understand and they should revert the buff, but lets not make it worse when it was playing second fiddle to the mesh shield.
Slam is 130 damage instantly on any close range target, plus 80 on slam. It makes all melee builds pointless because the heavy just out trades you for pressing a button. It’s not that the specialization on its own is a problem it’s how people use it for instant crutch damage.
I’d rather eat a entire jar of mustard whilst upside down whilst getting stabbed in the shins than play model/pike/dogwalking meta

It gives me as cl-40 user a decent disadvantage, but its not outplayable
And if i use it while running my other loadouts, it frequently allows me to shut down a cl-40 medium pretty easily

What have you done with sbmm, what have you turned it into? I have <100 hours in the game, about 2k kills, I get 5-10k monsters thrown at me. My team is not the same as me, even worse. How to play? 80 points are given for one winning round, 2-3 times more are withdrawn for a losing round, it is impossible to play without a party. It is impossible to play with an adequate person. And thank God if he's a PC, but he also throws console players who walk into walls. Sometimes the game crashes for no reason in the middle of a match. Consider yourself lucky if a ranked player launches a full stack of three people, about every third game the type costs afk or just goes out. I HAVE BEEN BANNED FROM MATCHMAKING LIKE 3-4 TIMES NOW. all because it wont let me connect to games in the first place. ill try to join a match, it will start loading and then it will just say CONNECTION FAILED ERROR CODE TFGE0000, and no matter how many times i try to reconnect it wont let me. this also keeps happening in between tournament rounds. i got kicked out in the loading part just before the finals of a world tour tournament and i got banned for it again. this is happening roughly one in every 4 or 5 games now and its not fair on me or my teammates, this needs to be fixed ASAP. i have videos and screenshots if needed i just cant post them here.

I honestly don't see a problem with this. The original issues can be mitigated heavily by making it operate on LoS instead of thwarting any attempts to destroy it through walls like it did before. Buffing Data-Reshaper also encroaches on its power.
Support, DPS and tank shouldn't be the ''classes'' straight up, else you're just turning it into another hero shooter / overwatch clone.
I think the way The Finals does it just right, where Lights are a recon/scout class, Mediums support/utility and Heavy crowd control/area denial and you can kinda pick from different options within their respective categories, all without the dependence of having an actual "tank" or "healer" to get anything done. In overwatch if you don't have either you just lose the game straight up, The Finals gives you a much fairer chance to 1V1 anyone and win.
This is not to say I would be against a "role lock" option, where teams have to consist out of 1 of each class, and for gamemodes with 5 players, 1 heavy, 2 medium and 2 light, similar to other hero shooters. I think this can remove a lot of frustation of having 5 snipers constantly pick your team of from across the map or having 3 heavies build fort knox on the cashout station.
Quick topic to pop into here, I want turret gone ASAP bruh losing these engagements cause they have another infinte gun on their team and it feels so unrewarding to die to one.

The entire issue would be solved if ranked had a class limit. Should ranked be forced to a HML comp? CL40 isn't as bad when its one person using it. In fact, its a throw of a pick compared to Pike or 1887. If there's only one M on the team, a CL40 is a terrible option and if you die to it consistently, its a skill issue and a failure to adapt. I don't think the Finals should have class restriction, at most, a 2 class limit.
Lights have their own set of issues, making it difficult to balance. They stomp pubs, but are useless in comp. How do you suggest to balance that out without making light more oppressive to pubs than they are now? Lights also have a mentality of trying to 1v3 everyoen when the class isn't meant to do that.

Earlier this year we saw the switch away from exclusive bundle pricing to individual items now being made available for purchase. This alone allowed a great amount of customisation and personalisation of the game. But @shy token is back this time to argue the case for community driven input.
By allowing the community to create fan-made concepts and outfits using available items, TF has allowed its community to creatively flourish. However, we think, and there are others who have considered this idea as well within the community, that new community made items should be given the chance to be official and in-game.
This would not be the first time that such a thing exists in the world of gaming. Warframe's 'TennoGen' is one of the best examples of having the community be involved in the creative process. This engagement's potential is virtually limitless and invaluable for the game's longevity and community. It can be further sustained by giving the creator(s) a chance to be awarded through a variety of ways, in combination or merely by themselves:
(a) recognition,
(b) in-game or IRL payment,
(c) but most importantly a free (perhaps personalised) version of the very same item that will be immortalised in the world of TF.

this would be fine if the classes actually fit those roles. medium is effectively dps and support simultaneously because of crazy weapons like pike and model on top of stuff like fib and healbeam. light is dps with a little bit of utility sprinkled on the side (pretty much just gateway). and heavy is "the defensive powerhouse" except for the fact its defense keeps getting nerfed and offense untouched so its effectively dps class #3.

i agree in a 1v1 the APS is fine - But right now when you see 2 or even 3 GL's its pretty much useless - Its gone within pretty much one volley and is only useful for getting rid of a tiny bit of ammo - In a 1v1 though definitely slap it down and rip them a new one pretty easy.

"Whether the game is balanced or not doesn't matter to you as long as it's not hitting you personally" - I'm 1000% sure you say this while being completely fine with the way Stun Gun affects melee players. You continue to complain about being one-shot like Embark hasn't completely killed over half the things that did. Nukes, Mines, and RPG are all shadows of their former selves. It may not seem like it to you, but besides the early season outliers this is the easiest Light class has ever had it.

Now I agree with you that yes a majority of us are annoyed when something happens to us in honestly really anything it’s not restricted to here in the Finals….. but.
I don’t think the problem is the Light health or “we need this and this buffed for us”. You chose the light to be an “in and out” hard hitting guerrilla fighter I’d say. And a good some of you Light guys’ mindset is that you’re a streamer or skilled to the point you’re killing them in a 1v3 just to learn that you cannot. The mindset is killing you guys. BUT to even help you guys NOT just everyone else, I think the problem with the Finals is that every counter is being shed of its strength. We remember everyone running the APS for Power Shift and we’re okay with its nerf only to fast forward to now and see grenades raining hell on everyone. They, to me personally, need to revert some of these nerfs.
Your CL-40 problem goes away the moment you throw that APS down, but sadly it’s now gone for a literal second and you barely get the time to kill the grenadier pummeling you. If they want to keep this bullshit of the APS having “health” I think they should BUFF the APS or bring back the simpler time of it just being like the turret.
A little solo comment before I go, you can think of a lot of these “counters” being destroyed to oblivion, just think and look closely you might just see it. We can only pray they wake up and realize what’s going on but that’s just me.
Side note: someone said the buildings crumbled fast as hell and I agree fix that too.

Deflecting Bullets needs an accuracy buff. I am not being rewarded for aiming my deflect at the enemy; the bullets just stray around them. It's an 80% damage reduction at best, excluding the fact that I can't deal headshot damage by blocking.

The deflect should cover a slightly larger cone.

The deflecting animation (i.e., going into the parry stance) should be available at all times during any animation, allowing for the canceling of the primary attack to parry—for example, a sledgehammer heavy attack. Additionally, often the hammer phases through the parry with full damage because the hitbox and active frames are extremely poorly designed.

You should be able to sprint as fast as a heavy while blocking, not medium sprinting speed as that would be too fast.

Adjust the damage order from 100, 120, 80 to 120, 100, 100. This change would make quick melee against light enemies possible. Currently, you are forced to use primary attacks against light enemies because 100 + 40 damage doesn't kill them (ignoring the fact that they can stun gun dash and get away in the first place).

The interaction with the model needs to be fixed. Currently, when a single bullet would hit your feet, every other bullet also connects. For example, if I shoot and all bullets are hitting the deflect but one, all shots pierce the deflect, and you take full damage.

Make the Secondary interruptable, currently is possible by emote cancleing but yeh needs buffs
I feel like Embarks approach to balancing weapons is very surface level, and most of the time either does nothing, makes the weapon godlike or makes the weapon absolutely awful, theres no in-between it feels like.
I have some suggestions for very frustrating mechanics to play against, aswell as weapon buffs/ rebalances.
First off,
CL-40:
The CL40 did NOT require a damage buff, what it actually needed was a magazine buff from 4 to 6. The potential damage of its entire magazine is capable of killing any class, but now it needs time to fire those few extra shots in order to secure a kill. This stops lights from getting outright 2 shot aswell as mediums struggling against it in close quarters.
Healing Beam:
I would love to see the healing beam get the same treatment as Recon Senses did, AKA replacing the ability entirely.
Healing beam is inherently flawed, and this major flaw is due to the fact that the healing can continue while its target is taking damage, inflating the healthbar of that target. This leads to alot of pocketing and is extremely frustrating to fight against because the healed target will ALWAYS win a 1v1.
My suggestion is to incorporate a Stim gun. This gun can be fired at teamates AND used on yourself, and it comes with 3 charges that have a 15 second cooldown. Instead of healing your teamate, what the Stim gun does is it starts the passive health regeneration INSTANTLY.
This means youre able to recoup, and heal much more faster in-between engagements, making sure your team is fresh and ready before another team fight.
This also helps with 3rd partying allowing teams to counter faster to another addition.
Expediting the passive health regen aswell as requiring you to hit your teammates from range allows you to hang back and hold angles instead of being a pocket healer, giving you both offensive and support opportunities when needed.
Defibs:
The defibs is an increadibly hard things to balance, but I think we have 2 options. Either we can replace this with something else, as an entire team running defibs is incredibly frustrating to fight against.
My main suggestion for the Defibs is to make it a 1 time use per life. Aka, if you use them theyll be cooked until you respawn OR wipe a squad. Assisting in a squad wipe will also reward another Defib charge.

This shotgun is a personal favourite of mine, but god is it a sniper. Its super easy to rebalance this, as all youd need to do is nerf its range and grant it a better reload speed.
The reload speed is there to counteract the amount of shots required to kill at range, and make it stronger in close range fights as needing to reload constantly can be painful if you miss one or two shots.

Healing Beam could be made where the healer takes damage whenever the healed is damaged. Also damaging status affects applied to the healed will also transfer to the healer too
I believe defib statues should be damageable but with some level of damage reduction to them, because right now its just magical ghost,
and healing beam should be reworked 100%, may be make the charge be used faster but with cd - so you cant pocket someone, but instead you can heal him fast for 150 hp for example and then it goes cd.
Right now healing beam just interrupts the flow really hard, and overheat is too easy to recharge - just dont hold till it overheats. its too different to other abilities that have a proper CD

Healing beam in its current state can’t full heal a medium before overheating. Making the healer take damage utterly defeats its entire purpose.

People are frustrated because developers have once again created an overpowered weapon. This happened in Season 3 with throwing knives. The CL-40 is likely to be nerfed soon, but the start of the new season has already been ruined.

A Heavy, Medium, Light Meta will be hard to achieve I agree.
However Defib, & Dome are as much part of *M & *H identity as Glitch, Vanish B., & Gateway is apart of *L however the difference in those gadgets is they are used selfishly... So there's not a huge cry for nerfs(Despite being the most broken gadget in the game) since they aren't being utilized in team play like they're intended to.

there is a point to what he says, medium teams tend to dive bomb to their teammates' trophies in order to make a distraction play (which is very dumb.) sure its now not instant, however. It's the idea of a player spawning in that will divert people's attention. It's not a good design choice for the person defibing to treat their teammates as a last-ditch distraction. and the person getting revived shouldn't be roped into a potential suicide mission. It's like the same situation that is presented in Team Fortress 2 with the mini sentries. either you focus on the person who revived that trophy or you have to wait and focus on the respawning medium. imagine that you couldn't destroy those mini sentries before they were built. it would create this timer for people playing against it and is not fair for players that will have a low time to kill. it needs to be reworked. make it so that it can revive players and give them health up to 275 hp(so medium and lights can get back full health when they get defibbed), but make it so that they can get shot while spawning in. I want players to use it as a support tool instead of a distraction. it use to be easy to counter against, with Sledgehammer, mines, RPG, etc. Now, not so much when you fight against a defib chain with no defenses.
I honestly really like your ideas. They could fix HB and defibs without nerfing them into oblivion. Both would just require more thoughts to be used right.

Im having as Issue with the red dot sights for some reason there is a cross across my sight when i scope in is that normal?
The devs are saying that the buff to the CL 40 was because it wasn't fair for a medium to hit 100% all of his 4 grenades to kill a heavy.
But the solution was really an overkill. Damage increase. Radius of max damage 3.3 times as much, leading to an Area of max damage 10.9 times as much!
With that much of an area, aiming is easy, and can be done while jumping. But jumping to to avaoid dying, doesn't work with a sphere of effect (which has become 35.9 times bigger) and increases dispretion of the wepon countering the CL 40.
Also its almost forgotten than
this weapon deals multidamage, hence if the fight happens in a tight place, 4 grenades are enoigh to obliterate any team.
This is why I don't understand at all this huge buff, and I think the devs can acheive the fairness their talking about, by:
- keeping the damage as it was.
- Increasing the amo to 5 instead of 4
- decreasing the radius to 19cm (avergae between 9 and 30)
- increasing reload time (natural consequence if having 5 grenades)

Deflecting Bullets needs an accuracy buff. I am not being rewarded for aiming my deflect at the enemy; the bullets just stray around them. It's an 80% damage reduction at best, excluding the fact that I can't deal headshot damage by blocking.

Been playing PS with new patch, and I have to say... Man is ti fun again, like at the start of Season 2, the sniper spam is gone. Snipers are still there, but it is much more balanced now. At least for now, total win for the devs, thank you! But it would be nice to get new PS maps, for the new map, and LV maybe too.

It be nice if you could choose a different background & choose what badge you want on certain players. For example my medic badge isn't exactly fitting for my *L class
Also it be AMAZING if players could save *Outfits so you could easily swap Fits between contestants. Making an entire fit can be time consuming.

With the first week of season 4 has been amazing and I think most have been thrilled but I wonder what other peoples opinions are on the pike dominating the medium class set ups. The pike beams through every class and seems like everybody has been using it. I tried the AK against it first day and just couldnt compete with the gun, and until I switched to the pike, is when I started having fair fights and close calls. Same thing for the .50 akimbo, I wonder what people think about these 2 weapons. Will they be nerfed? or reworked slightly? In my opinion I see the pike being nerfed. Fcar and AK just get wiped compared to them from gameplay i've seen and personal experience. I can see .50 akimbo recieving a recoil nerf
What are these spawns? it happens so freaking often that we wipe enemy team but they spawn inbetween us and the cashout
Adding the pike created one of the worst metas possible. Heavy can't counter it at all and on certain maps you have a ton of people just sitting back and shooting from angles that are basically impossible to counter therefore making the pike mandatory to counter said playstyle. The Finals just doesn't play well with long range engagements especially because of how long it takes you to regain your health after being shot at

apart from the glitch grenade being able to counter those important aspects of medium and heavy's defenses/support, it is not very useful against players that tend to flank/roam. mediums that have dematerialiser or turrets don't get affected much, apart from making them rely on their primary (which is what they are banking on in situations like that). Heavy can also be a bit of a roamer with the charge n slam, winch, and goo gun. granted depending on what weapon they are holding for gadgets, they would be either at a disadvantage or hard countered. light relies on their weapon to get rid of the enemy. not using gadgets to earn kills, only aiding in kills (even if its the poorly designed stun gun.) so there is use for gamemodes like ranked or powershift that heavily rely on teamwork to defend a cashbox against an opposing team. however for gamemodes like bank it, its rarely used at all. the thing is about glitch grenades is that it makes light players be forced to use this gadget in order to counter medium and heavys teamwork. light should at least be able to puncture through the dome shield quickly with their weapon to pick off targets. gadget restriction is what makes classes not fun to play at times, you don't have the freedom of choice whenever you are forced to run certain gadgets for yourself or the team in general. it was the reason why RPG has been nerfed to try and get people off of a very effective generalist gadget (again they caused more problems than it solved.) light shouldn't rely on things like glitch grenades for him to be a good attacker for the team. if a light wants to run throwing knives with thermal and breach charges then, they could. like I mention in the example with the APS turret, the players should be able to have the choice for themselves, not out of necessity for everyone else. "Combos & coordination should be the heart of this game. I.M.O" that is something I 100% agree on as long as it rewards coordination a bit more than team combos.
Balance this balance that. Whatever.
My suggestion is to drop a TDM mode and advertise to Call of Duty and Battlefield players.
A run and gun, individualistic mode would draw so many players. Dudes are about to spend $70 on a map pack and be disappointed. Get their business.

pike i think is great for certain map variations like hanging structures or duck and cover. i think it's weakness is just close range fights (<10 m) and tight cashout buildings especially with the scope still attached, but I haven't played it without the scope. Just go back to how it was and how it should be, consoles play together unless a PC player is invited to the team @covert verge At launch the pool was split but after they nerfed console AA they turned around and match console with PC to boost numbers. I don't have a problem finding matches on PS5 only but I'm probably not that good anyway. Very clear CQC advantage to PC though, especially since all the action usually happens up close.

anything on heavy is ugly af
if you thought light was bad in season 3, light is gonna be terrible in season 4. the meta is looking like it is going to shift into a medium/longrange meta. (all the new sights for many guns, the new dmr being so oppressive at range, and even the deagles being nasty at that closeish to medium range) light only has 1 weapon that does reliable damage at range (lh1) medium and heavy weapons are much better at range (and they have more hp) (ak, famas, fcar, pike, lewis, m60). season 3 was a close range meta which light has good options (shorty, m11, xp5 except it is terrible now after the damage nerf, and the v9s)
sniper is completely irrelevant now - completely outclassed by DMR at basically any range - hitscan at any range maybe was too powerful for the sniper but again - that was its main utility. it became oppressive in gamemodes like TA and powershift but it was never that useful in cashout.
40 meters is an insanely short distance to lose hitscan and start to have drop - a good medium at 50-60m will FRY you with literally any of their AR options before you can rechamber your second shot. (pike can 3 shot lights body only and is stupid easy to use) It is a SNIPER RIFLE. for long range. and now its basically just the bow beyond 40m. increase the hitscan distance to at least 60m - it still probably wont beat the DMR but gives it a little more damage potential at range.
If sniper MUST have bullet drop - at least give it a sight option like the mil-dot above. Its REALLY hard to learn the bullet drop and account for it when you're basically just guessing how far above someone to shoot. mil-dot with practice would be much easier to learn drop distance bc you have an actual 'target' on the scope to associate with a specific distance.
sniper still probably wont have a ton of utility in WT/ranked cashout (it never did tbh) but its not even fun to use in casual modes anymore - i dont understand the logic of nerfing it to the ground because its 'too oppressive' but then you put a DMR in the game that doesnt even have falloff until 50m. at max falloff (55m) its still 73% so about 43 damage per body shot so it can 4 tap lights from any range and is very easy to use. 2 mediums on height with DMRs is the definition of oppressive right now. take seoul under construction for example - you can reliably deal pretty good pick damage from the high central point to players fighting for almost any other point (but dont worry, 3rd partying is better now - you can do it at a distance!)
TLDR: a sniper nerf was warranted, but this is overkill

In my opinion, the buildings go down way too fast. I can't pin point why, maybe the fact that everybody is using a buffed grenade launcher, maybe it is because the buildings (especially on the new map) aren't that well supported to begin with. But it annoys me so much that in almost every fight around a cashout inside a building, the building is gone within 30 seconds or so.
These brings up a big problem:
The fights become extremely random (which Embark explicitly said they didnt want in ranked for example) due to the fact that the whole sight just collapses on top of you. I get stuck every time because of some wall or roof that just falls on my head. Or I can not move around the sight anymore because everywhere are just building parts laying around.
I am writing this because this seems to be a recent problem for me. I never had issues with the destruction since season 1. But since this season it drives me nuts.
As a solo player, i can say that the matchmaking is awful, it keep pairing me with players with 20 victorys as my teammates, and i have fcking 500+, i cannot rank up because of that

@dino.rawr#0000 it sounds like you agree on the role description you just want it to be more 3 dimensional & not so 2 dimensional however what sets this game apart is every 2 mins the battlefield changes & I feel like this is what elevates gameplay & separates it from ANY other game. Time just works differently the entire game you're trying to secure a S&D objective while trying to combo a squad wipe, While also constantly on the move. Tracking in that environment is crazy & requires a lot of patience and coordination. Most people are just focused on kills over wins. The thing about the finals is 90% of the time whoever wins or qualifies is dependent on the last set of vaults. It's not over until the fat lady sings. Most kids just get Lost in the music.
However role lock will only take away more destruction and chaos from the Battle Royale, Search and destroy play style the finals used to be.
It sounds good on paper until you're forced to play a class you don't like with a contestant you can't rely on.

exactly what im saying except the fact that the sniper isnt usefull in cashout and 60 meter hitscan still isnt enough. just ping some enemies mid fight and you will see that SO MANY OF THEM ARE BEHIND 60 meters. I played main sniper till emerald last season and i can tell if you use it right and also use lights utilities for the objective IT CAN ABSOLUTELY CLUTCH. but ofc there are situations where you are in a disadvantage but this is the case with every weapon.

Agreed - lot of its utility depends on map and mode as well: like it’s great for platforms on Kyoto, suspended structures Monaco etc - but that long range utility is gone with the loss of hit scan. If it’s gonna be a projectile weapon I’d at least like something in my cross hair I can use to fucking reliably aim at different distances and not have to blindly guess.
At least sniper shotgun is still an option 😉
The ranked system should have an individual performance modifier in case of loss. One of the main complaints I hear is that they're paired with 'bad teamates'. And it is in fact probably the most frustrating part of SoloQ other than losing 1-2k Rs over teammates leaving. I think it would be fair if a player that got 15 kills with the highest score in the whole lobby, that they got some reward for their efforts, by this i mean something like a 10 - 20 % Rs loss reduction, nothing drastic. This would make it so that, if the game is mathematically a certain loss, then at the very least you're less likely to give up or feel like there is no more point in playing for the 1-2 minutes left since a good performance despite losing could soften the blow of losing.

The Current colourblind mode in this game may allow people with colourblindness to be able to differentiate the team colours, however they make communication a nightmare, Most of the teams colours are already high on the red side of the RGB spectrum so without a colourblind mode a colourblind person will struggle to differentiate but they will be able to communicate. the colourblind mode however changes all the colours in their entirety. A change to this could be for colourblind modes, to shift the shades of each team colour in a way they are easier to differentiate, or one could allow a custom colour changing for team colours meaning that communication can continue without difficulty of trying to figure out which colour your friend meant when they said orange but you see purple

i personally dont think no hitscan is an option. or at least no option before 120meters because the movement in this game is so fast, that its basically impossible to predict player movements until they run in a straight line. and as soon as they know that they play against a sniper, they will start to jiggle and wiggle like crazy. EVERYONE THAT PLAYED SNIPER FOR LONG KNOWS HOW HARD IT WAS TO SNIPE PEOPLE AWARE OF YOU AT A FAR RANGE. its undestandable that sniping from spawn as in powershift is anoying, but the truth is that these people are actually soooo easy to counter but those complaining casuals just play like they only notice anything in between 40meters but above that its not in their hand anymore XXD. It's 87. It's not that negligible, especially if you get point-blank. But they could possibly up it to the same damage enemies maximally receive (117).
(Just remember Model does 128 at range with hitscan and does no self-damage...)
The current state of RANKED on ps5 is horrible, at least in EU.

If you have crossplay off and queue (ps5 only) it takes for us about 30/60 minutes and not even then sometimes we find a game.

To be even able to play ranked now we need to queue with cross-play on (finding games in 2/5 min). Going back to point 1, we then don’t really have a choice we’re forced to play with cross-play ON.
Final point and most important.
- Pc has a big advantage with aiming, in the end it is a finger against a hand. Especially with the Pyke being introduced in this season, controller doesn’t provide that much aim assist against a hand with a Pyke.

The most important problem of the game is the rank system it is not normal to be platinum and to be forced to play with bronze and not classified
Overall I've been loving the new season. Feels like everything has a counter one way or another, and takes game sense to put yourself in a position of advantage over your opponents.
The only thing I'd like to see changed is having loss forgiveness in ranked if you lose a teammate or if you load into ranked and start the match with only two people. I had a game where my team was ranked #1 even though the matchmaking only put two people on the team. When we finished last place (as expected being a man down) in that tournament it tanked a ton of points.

Nerf CL-40. Reload is too fast players are pumping out shots way too fast, take for example the shotguns reload interval when shooting on empty is quite long. The damage is far too consistent and my opponents are always hitting me for huge damage each explosion. There's also almost no self damage on the CL which makes it hard to use as a weakness for the gun
Nerf frag grenades. I feel making the frag grenade do less damage would be make games with them more fun. There's less skill and gun play if teams are just chucking grenades and wiping random people out
It's very clear medium is very prevalent this season with some of the best teamplay utility: zip, jump pad, fib, and heal beam and some of the best weapons: pike and model. You'll see a lot of ranked team comps be mmh or mmm because of the power that class has. I believe if glitch grenade was buffed to be able to cancel defib during the hologram animation it would cause more lights being added to the team to combat excessive use of tool such as defib. A change like this could encourage lights to play near their team in teammate fights and play for their lives to be able to cancel crucial mid fight revives. This isn't something I've ever seen brought up as a concept to make light more useful in team play so I thought I would just put it here.

As always I'm ambivalent. I'm tempted to complain about a few things, but I also know that there is nothing stopping me from playing the new metas, and if I don't want to, I'll just have to get even better at what I want to play to compensate. On the other hand, complaining is probably sending good signals to the devs. So I guess carry on... complaining is good actually. That said, I agree with some of the people above who think there is nothing preventing a slight refinement to the ELO system, aside from, oh, just complicating the devs' lives. 🙂 In fact, I really like how elegant the current presentation is. Perhaps one way to finesse the situation is to show case-by-case adjustments to players privately once they are finished in a tournament. Then you could do a few crude things in a very limited number of cases, like compensate players if they had to play most of a match without a teammate, or if the discrepancy in team ELOs are way out of whack in order to facilitate matchmaking, or if put in a match against mysterious 'unranked' players. Lots of cool suggestions above, though. I would agree with toning down the destruction on Fortune Stadium by even 10-20%, at least as an experiment. 🙂

They say they don't want ranked to feel so random. So they remove the events in that mode. However, They introduce a new map where every buildin is destroyed in 30 seconds of a cashout, leaving nothing but random roofs and walls falling on everyone.

They say they want the objective to be as important as aim in the game. But then they introduce 3 weapons which are all aim based. The Deagles are fairly balanced. The Shotgun is maybe a little too strong but i think it works fine. But giving the Medium a DMR is just unnecessarily OP in general.
My wishes for this season:

Fix ranked. I got much more problems like crashes, the map getting invisible, server issues, etc in ranked than in world tour.

The World Tour cashout changes from season 3 suck absolutely in Ranked.
30% plug leads to final cashout griefs. Paired with the horrible new "enhanced" spawns that will spawn teams on either the vaults or cashout.
I have clips on clips of teams spawning on deposit before I can even bring the cashbox to it. A few times where I've watched a team literally spawn in front of me.
The 10% wipe is meaningless snd contributes heavily to the grief meta. Team doubles last cashout, guess what? You can't wipe them and get first because 10% wipe, so now you have to fight 9 people to win last cashout, but one team isn't even trying to take the cash they're just focused on who they wanna grief out.
10% wipes have people jumping off map to wipe because it's easier then playing and reviving team, has people suicide fighting teams and holding them or even suicide pluging money because 30% plug is worth more then death lol.
Improve the anticheat false flags or at least put out a statement on what programs might cause a false flag. Im 2 suspensions in without ever cheating in my entire lifespan of gaming and I'm about to lose my account over a program I don't even know Easy AC is picking up. Pissed off if $300 just goes down the hole on this account for nothing.

... They have console only lobbies that's what crossplay off means. the queue is so long because people don't want to play with crossplay off. They've given the option of console only lobbies its on the people that want that to use it, while the majority it seems prefers crossplay on going by the long que times.

Look into spawns for offense in the final round. It is very unbalanced and favors defence since it only gives you one spawn location. I have locked down teams in the final round with no realistic way for them to counter unless they go around the map

Embark. Your game is fun and works well, minus some minor inconveniences.
But it is insulting to know that many people put time and money in your game and you can't fix your connectivity issues. An issue people have been asking for months now to be resolved.
I am tired of being in a lobby, especially a good one, and get a crash/connectivity issue mid game. When I am able to come back, a minute or two have passed and at least to me, is demotivating to try and get back in the zone.
Fix your game.
I agree perhaps being able to toggle the position of W.T. & ranked status would be a great addition as well.
Depending on which you prioritize, or the option just to have 3 Badges if you don't play ranked at all.
Maybe go as far to simply just turn off the two?

Honestly my only good opinion of season 4 is the reticle. Other than that ima bout to drop the game, twas already bad enough when they kept nerving the invisible the main thing I use but then to go and nerf the knife which is probably the least used weapon.
The dmt for medium is just not wut they needed, and having it kill a light in 2-3 hits in half a second is bs, the mediums grenade launcher was already bad enough and certainly didn't need a buff cause now it's nothing but entire teams running that blowing everything up making the game frustrating and less enjoyable, the deagles are alright, the new shotgun for the light could do with a little balancing.
I'm running light with invisible sneaking up on people putting a good 4-5 bullets I to em before they react and they just turn around with either the pile, the grenade launcher or the shotgun and drop me quicker than ima losing ma will to live

Guys matchmaking is WEIRD!!! And that is me not using bad word out of respect for everybody reading this. I have played the last 3 world tour matches with kids. Literally. Levels 8 and 9 and teams against us are in ther 60s! Something needs to be fixed immediately before players start losing interest! But, until then... if you make your task manager "always on top" you can "end task" the game while in a game like this, apparently the game doesn't mind....
Cl40 is annoying as shit so here’s a few suggestions
-Just nerf the weapon again: people will bitch about the weapon being bad but I think it’s healthier than people bitching about it being overpowered
-Buff APS: Cl mains will also bitch about aps existing and the aps buff will indirectly nerf a lot of other things too (such as the mgl which is already not that good)
-Leave as is: I guess we’ll have to cope for it’s existence

Also, CL40 is fine, but takes away the fun from low visibility situations, when the player can just spam the cashout and not much can be done to protect it. It feels unfair that we can't see them, but they can just spam us so easily, not quite sure how to manage that though. Self-damage missing from CL40 also seems unfair, as it's there for RPG, nades and so on...

how do the devs expect an already weak class, high skill ceiling to compete with 2 significantly weaker smg (now that they nerfed the only weapon that makes light even viable) against medium class buffed cl40 (diabolical decision btw), model 1887 that is a mid range beast for some fkin reason as a shotgun, 3 AR that is ones of the best weapons in the game, a stupid versatile DMR that 2-4 shots most people.
The ending of Skyway Stadium in Powershift is really annoying. On either side once you pass the 3/4 point its impossible for the other team to get back onto the platform, basically guarantying a loss, but making you suffer for 3 minutes as the platform slowly moves further upwards an away. You spawn in so far below the platform. It really should get harder for the attacking team the further you push, not easier.
scope on the revolver is not a buff at all, it sways like crazy, ironsight still better and pike just makes a joke out of this gun. I mained revolver since s2 and now I don't really have a reason to pick it, this is painful.
on the other note: if devs ever get to gold 1 in ranked they will realize that pike is a big issue, not CL-40 that is a noob cannon right now like throwing knives used to be. entire lobby runs pike or model, nothing else

Hi can medium stop being the best class in the game? Both heavy and light have glaring weaknesses. But medium can do everything. Medium should really be struggling in combat at close range so that it can be punished by coordinated teams or dives. Nerf model and pike :-)

the amount of DMR spam in Power Shift especially is absolutely insane. No matter how I build to counter, I can barely ever even get OUT OF SPAWN because of it, across many matches and multiple maps

CL40 is easy to use but it' s definitely NOT a "OP" weapon in this game.
Learn how to against CL40 and learn how to counter every different weapon it is all noob need to do because CL40 is definitely a noob killer.
You can stand high to easy against it, you can quick put APS and fight with them with no risk, you can just jump to he's face and make DPS check.
Use you dash dodge, use shield block, have range weapon make more distance to shoot them, keep move and shoot to take less explosive damage.
This weapon has high TTK and need to predict, can't fight the people stand high and can't shoot someone jumping into sky easily.
That have a lot of disadvantage to counter, if you don't just peek them and against continuously in the same way, it would not a big problem in this game, I'm sure.

Compare Pike to LH1, the visual recoil is just stupid and makes the LH1 useless at max firerate. They should stop dice damage values and instead match up damage fall off for model, pike, cl40, XP54

Literally this for sword, I have 500 hours maining sword and it is punisher for bad positioning and poor decision making making it good in low elo lobbies and progressively worse as people get good at the game. This allows for long range accuracy at the cost of halving your fire rate while allowing it to perform the same as it does now at close range
Just nerf the range and revert mesh shield. Heavy should not be having the ability to fight back from range
CL-40 feels over-buffed. Definitely not fun to play against teams stacking it at least. Add on a defib, heal beam, turrets, etc. Its just an oppressive amount of easy to use utility.
Personally like that glitch mines are the best gadget to counter defib.

I really don't understand the constant complaining about CL-40. I think its from light players.. which are supposed to die easy.. When I go against the CL-40 as a M or H I don't ever feel like its OP. I just get in their face and I usually kill them... However, I recently played powershift and that was the first time I was like OKAY this is annoying.. but I don't think it should be sent back to oblivion for the sake of Ls and PS
idk what rank you play but there's no way to just "sneak" behind him. and even if you manage to surprise the enemy shoot first and hit every shot. they will still have time to turn around and kill your first because their time to kill is faster than yours although you are literally are a light player. and cloaking doesn't work against the grenade launcher they just need to hear you and shoot in your direction and your cloak will be deactivated.

Nah cloak is useful to sneak behind them but dash is a higher chance to kill (depends on weapon) but once you start shooting, you are a easy target. That’s when dash comes in. CL has a slow RPM and only a few bullets/nades so if you are the target, run and dodge them so your team can shoot. If they get shot it’s your turn

2 minor problems though : the CL40 spam is hard to counter when two teams have two CL40s and I feel the same about the Pike when people use it without the scope.

While I don't have much trouble during daytime, playing late at night has become impossible. After maybe 1:00 or 2:00 AM, I get crazy amounts of lag, with constant freezes and rollbacks. I guess the game no longer puts me in EU lobbies for quicker matchmaking, despite EU being set as favorite in the settings ? I never had such problems from S1 to S3.
Good news: the game is pushing me towards a healthier sleeping routine. Bad news: I would sometimes want to keep playing, because I'm on a vacation right now. 😂
Overall performance has gone downhill update after update since late S3. With my 10400F/RTX 3070, playing in 2k, I'm getting the usual 90-120 fps in High/RT off, but with downward spikes all the way down to 40-ish whenever there's destruction going on. I didn't have that kind of frame rate loss before, even when entire buildings were collapsing.
I hope this week's update will be focused on performance first and foremost, and quick fixes to weapons balance.
Completely agree and IMO, if sniper has to loose hitscan at 40m, ALL HITSCAN WEAPONS SHOULD, makes no sense that other weapons should have "faster" projectiles than a sniper. The fact that the sniper has been nerfed multiple times without getting any buff in return is a travesty, especially since its NEVER been meta in the one gamemode that really matters, cashout.

Revert Sniper Changes. Already a niche gun that maybe felt overpowered in low level ranked TA. You will hear people complain about being able to sit across the map and shoot people but that's not how you win in this game at all. I enjoy that glass canon style of play you get punished hard for missing shots, it's inaccurate while no scoping, it's it's inaccurate mid air, and the crosshair doesn't say center screen while moving. The gun was so bad people would automatically assume they lost if you sniped on their team in World Tour last season.

That's why I said glitch grenades instead of glitch mines, mines should only work after the get back up glitch nades cancel it all together. That way instead of team fights being who can kill the other team twice over you have the ability to actually prevent revives and waste cooldowns as long as you have a light playing around your team.
Heavy shield cooldown after lowering should be at most 2 or 3 seconds. Making it not instant is a good change but this is way too much.

APS doesn't do a whole lot when a 3 stack is shooting at you all at once, an APS can only take 3 projectiles before it's totally gone, the weapon is completely busted and I'm surprised they didn't learn their lesson the first time they buffed the damage.
Might be a good idea to post patch notes in the game so that players who don’t follow content creators on YouTube or aren’t in this official discord will still see when they’re released and be able to read through them.
I also think the new player tutorial should go over coins, revives, and team wipes, because it’s obvious that a lot of new players don’t really understand those mechanics.
I also think that the mesh shield cool down should work the same way as the invisible specialization; every time you turn it on, it eats away a percentage until it goes into real cool down. That way, they can’t infinitely juggle back-and-forth, but they can still do it a little bit in moments where it’s necessary.
I think the CL40 should do more self damage and the APS system should get a little bit of a buff .
I’m actually perfectly fine with the pike the way that it is. Admittedly, I’m not that good with it; don’t like it enough to fix that. I prefer the Famas. It just genuinely never pisses me off when I go up against it.
I think it’d be cool to grant a badge or sticker or something for players who go a certain number of games without quitting. Maybe a small amount of multi bucks for every increment of games played to the end in a row just something to incentivize sticking it out a little more.
I’m also excited to see what other badges y’all are cooking up. Like, there has to be a “number of cash out steals completed” badge on the way.
Also, despite they’re being room for improvement, y’all fucking crushed it with season four and I’m having so much fun . Thank you for making such an amazing game. I’m really excited to see what else y’all cook up.

one last thing i would like to note with my feedback is that the light swords should be reconsidered or revamped. they can kill in 3 hits and ppl like me who arent the best at the game should have some breathing room to try and kill them. basically what im saying is that the guns on heavy cannot kill swords fast enough if your using keyboard and mouse. aim assist on keyboard and mouse would fix this problem with alot of people. also, if there was a locker thing like rainbow six siege has it would be easier to find skins and things, becuase i cannot find the skins that i have got.

Inaccurate RPGs is not fun. Invisible butt shot and holding teammates hands is not fun. In-air in in-accuracy is not fun. Random falling is not fun. Grenade launcher primaries are not fun. Guns where you can’t consistently hit headshots with skill are not fun. Over-wrought destruction is not fun. Dumbing the game down is not fun. I’m not having much fun with the game.

It actually deals damage to the user, But Idk why it sometimes not working. Probably a bug, but still some of fight ends up with me also dying. I think self damage need to configured more, but considering CL-40 is close range weapon not like grenade or MGL32 that can used in corner, inducing same self damage level of RPG will probably removes cl-40 player at all.
It feels so awkward wielding a dagger and drawing for a backstabs would take eons, atleast increase the speed duration.
This is not the issue with the cl-40. Bringing this back would make the weapon incredibly inconsistent given the serverside nature of the movement in this game.
In all honesty this weapon is completely fine, it is EXTREMELY counterable and the best way to fix the issue of players dying to it would be to add a tips popup to the game when you die giving advice on how to play against it.
But considering the fire rate nerf from the patch notes didn’t actually make it into the game, I’d assume that’s going to be how the handle it.

I have a few suggestions and observations I would like to share:

Matchmaking System: While the game is exceptionally well-balanced, the matchmaking system leaves much to be desired. I often find myself matched with players who have only a few hours of experience, while facing opponents who played the demo version. To improve this, I suggest the matchmaking be based on three key factors: player level, kills, and wins. This way, a player's skill can be better evaluated, as there’s a significant difference between a player with 1,000 kills and 100 wins versus one with 1,000 kills and 500 wins.

Match Leaving Penalty: Currently, I’ve noticed that players can disconnect their internet to leave a match without facing penalties. I’ve tested this myself, and it worked in two separate instances. Making it more difficult for players with poor connections to enter matches would improve the overall gameplay experience and preserve the game’s health in the long run. Players' ping should also factor into matchmaking quality.

Game Modes and Duration: Playing in the World Tour or Ranked Tournament often requires setting aside up to 60 minutes. While these modes provide great gameplay, this extended time commitment can be daunting. The “Quick Cash” mode, unfortunately, doesn’t offer a comparable experience, often feeling like a training ground for new players at the start of a season or a space for professional players to experiment toward the end. Additionally, the lack of a progression system makes it less engaging.
I propose introducing a new mode, tentatively named “Masters Race.” This would be a shorter, single match format combining elements of Cashout and Powershift. Four teams of 3 would compete to control two moving platforms with cashout stations fixed on top of them, adding a new layer of strategy. A new playstyle. A progression system with ranks and badges for this mode would further enhance its appeal.
Sandy version of the Vegas map : couldn't distinguish my teammate from an enemy player and stopped them from stealing a cashout, the time that we realize we were on the same team, the other team was earning their second cashout and coming back to defend it. The game color issue when it comes to identifying quickly teammates is very frustrating.
I had a similar problem the other day with the orange team in the finals. We could barely see them until they got on top of us. It was insane. Even with proxy and recons.

Nerfing RPG and buffing CL-40 to the point where everyone you face is a healing + defibbing walking RPG with infinite ammo and no cooldown makes no sense, even a toddler could figure that out, but not your balancing team.

im glad the new weapons this season are strong on release unlike the season 3 weapons. people can enjoy them with the new season. but holy fuck the pike and deagles are more than a little overtuned they are disgusting
Not saying the guy you're replying to is right, but one of the more annoying aspects to me is that it's explosion radius is kinda huge, which even if it does minimal damage completely restarts your health regen delay. This can be a big deal, as such I find this to be slightly overtuned since you can just run away and delay peoples regen/do a decent amount of damage while their team follows up, especially while around corners/walls.

I think it's about time to quit this game.
Even when I finally manage to connect after trying many times, if I join in mid-match to replace someone who has left, the game ends before long and I'm faced with another long, long battle with connecting.
At this point, I feel like I'm okay with starting up the game every once in a while and connecting within five minutes.
If it takes longer than that, I'll quit this game and do something else.

Your clip is a team of 3 mediums fighting 3 mediums it clearly shows there's one class doing better than the other two. The reason it shouldn't be on glitch mine is because then it would negate the benefit of having opting to have a light in your team and it would just prop up triple mediums more. Also to say light utility is better than mediums is absolutely wild since defib is probably the most oppressive and most picked secondary utility in the entire game.

What is the matter with you? Its such a simple fix. This shouldnt be an issue in 2024, nobody wants to join in on these. Put in an option to finish the match when the entire team leaves instead of adding them in 1 by 1 against a 5 stack.

Weapon scopes need customization or at least colour blindness options. They're all red, I've tried a few, and it's way too hard to see against some surfaces, not to mention visual recoil of the actual reticle. It's very noticeable with the red dot, give us an option of static vs. "in-world" same as hip-fire crosshair.

Respectfully, I have to agree with the CL40 complaints, I lost a tournament game because a three stack of mediums ran turret + defib + and CL40 in the final round* and despite running the weapons we were skilled with we’d be wiped in spite of our ability to play, It feels woefully under balanced if A single weapon can guarantee a win and rewards annoying/exploitive gameplay rather than being good at the game.

Flamethrower rework proposal:
- Increase the range to 30-35m.
- Tighten the cone into a thin stream to accommodate the new range.
- Reduce the damage to 20 or less per tick.
- Increase the mag size to 50.
Currently the Flamethrower is having a bit of an identity crisis, having to compete against the 1216, Sledgehammer, and Spear for dominance as a close quarters option. These proposed changes will help the Flamethrower to carve out it's own niche as a ranged team support weapon that excels at suppression and area denial beyond the capabilities of the 2 machine guns, while not encroaching upon their places as DPS weapons. Additionally this helps alleviate some of the frustrations of players having to fight the current Flamethrower, as it will no longer have the advantage in close quarters and will be significantly less distracting without the rampant particle effects of the cone preventing enemies from accurately aiming.

I don't get how you can release an actual season with potential, increase player numbers by half, and then go off on holiday instead of hotfixing and balancing the meta. You could finally push toward a fully competitive game, invest into a tournament creating an Esport Scene instead of a range of employees, and safe your game from dying so the existing employees can feed themselves. CL-40 buff needs to be reverted and needs to damage the player more when they shoot it at their feet. Similar to the heavy with the RPG.

cl40 and dmr are pretty overtuned rn (dmr in particular is the most oppressive gun in the game's history), music is great as always, destruction values are too brittle on fortune stadium or something bc you sneeze wrong and suddenly the whole building chain reacts / decays on its own rapidly and makes team fights too messy compared to other maps destruction values, drip is immaculate as always, sponsors are great, rpg nerf good, xp54 nerf good, lights still need more value for high rank competitive viability, sword buff unnecessary, dagger change good but sword just simply better, s2 and s3 weapons need love

heavy has no counter play against a team of 3 medium stack with dmr/PIKE, especially in map where verticalty is involved.
since heavy has limited damage output in long range and all 3 medium has heal beam and defib. even on the off chance u did kill one of their medium, they just defib him right back

It has no downsides anymore. Its versatile, it got every weapon type in a either highly good or way to strong variety. You can do anything with a medium.

When I check my scoreboard it shouldnt be covered by the active map manipulation. If I want to see my current kills it is covered by “METEOR SHOWER”

Even the heavy’s grenade launcher takes skill cause it’s not explode on impact ffs. I’ve never felt more cheated in this game by a weapon than I have with this. Zero skill, no drawbacks, good dps. Just delete the gun. Mediums shouldn’t even be this capable of dps output if they’re the “healer” class.

If they high ground they will still get killed pretty fast by pike, lh1, sniper. There are enough ways to play around high ground.
But there should be nerfs to the short-range fights with cl40, meaning self dmg multiplier higher.

When playing with friends, I wish the matchmaking system wouldn't pull us up to the higher-ranked member's RS. I'd prefer if it calculated based on the average RS of the whole team.

I wish their was a way to change the body type of your character like choice between buff, skiny, fat and default but the hitbox remains the same with a few minor adjustments and heavy could have bulky instead buff and no skinny option(mostly because the heavy is meant to be big)

It would be really great if there were some "Look for Group" option, where you could form a party with other people who also want to play in a party, but are not necessarily on your friends list, and then play multiple matches with this same party.
Medium as a class should do less damage entirely across the board as they are supposed to be a support class. Pike is ridiculous op. Every lobby I’ve been in for the past few days is atleast 25% cl40 users AND 10% pike users, then there’s guaranteed to be more mediums running every other assault rifle. Medium has to be the most played class rn.
TLDR nerf medium damage
Heavy needs a buff in fun, like make the grab cube 2x better. Make it float players 2x faster. Recuse cooldown by half or give them two. Considering making rpgs just for arena damage + adding a rocket jump ability. Either give heavies their second c4 back or let nukes be made, the delay on blowing up charges is just annoying for all classes.
Light tbh is the class closest to being in a good position, it’s fun, has some strengths but is easily countered. Lots of its weaker weapons should be buffed, it should do the most damage as a class.
Heavy needs to be more fun to just stand there and soak up damage, while giving a some out
Medium needs to have hard nerfs to its damage output across the board, and strong buffs to its support abilities
Light needs slight buffs

Why wouldn’t I just switch to running the mediums lh1 or the mediums rpg with healbeam jump pad zip line demat turret. All of the mediums specs and gadgets are top tier across the whole game, and that’s how they should be. Mediums should do less damage to trade for doing more support

@prisma harbor CL-40 has a low skill floor, but its DPS and TTK are lower than the hitscan options. Plus it's a dodgeable projectile that self-damages. It might be strong in low-skill lobbies where accurate hitscan aim is uncommon, but it gets completely outclassed by other options at higher skill levels.
If you want to raise its skill floor (e.g. by reducing the splash radius, which doesn't affect the skill ceiling much), fine. But don't pretend it's overpowered all the time, please.

It is overpowered, literally 50 ppl here are writing messages to nerf it. The grenades are also not dodgeable because they fly quite fast. Mb you could dodge one from 100 meters away but a gl in front of you hits you every time. It is also not outclassed by any weapon but the pike, which is also op. Maybe in the top 0.1% of players, it’s not that good, but in the 99.9% it remains op.
With how many quitters are in this game, we really need something that makes it so the remaining player(s) in the game can leave without a penalty, or at least you don't get any Ranked penalties when you inevitably lose.
The seasons before this had quitters, but S4 I'm seeing easily one or two quitters per round in Ranked, and it's not uncommon to see only one person being left in a team if they don't instantly get the first cashout, including my own team. More than once I've been in the last round of ranked and two of the opponents quit as soon as we got the first cashout, didn't even try to comeback.
Please, at least let the remaining players leave rather than getting hit with the rank loss + wasting like 10 minutes of our day. God, in the last FOUR games I've had at least one person quit the second they run in like a dumbass and die. Die > Quit -- it's nearly instant. This means that in my 2-ish hours I can play per day, I've wasted like an hour just... waiting to lose.

I also got so many crashes since the Beta. I thought they will fix this until the release but here we are in Season 4 and still crashes. Much less but still crashes. Its very frustrating during ranked. You always lose a few minutes and the round is almost 100% lost until you are back in the game. AND THEN YOU NEED TO WAIT UNTIL U GET REVIVED OR USE A COIN like.. Why.
But i agree, if someone got a crash or something, the otherone should be able to leave.. or at least give us a instant/free respawn after rejoining the match. I lost so many ranked games because of crashes

i think to make it fair you can gain points if you finish in the top 4 at least its unreal how many games ive been 2nd rounded and gained - 300. (this is gold - plat ranks)
Sword and Dash, its unreal and unbearable to counter its like they just teleport away and you cant do anything about it.
CL40 - Model - Pike (most broken combos currently hard to play against especially as a heavy with the mesh shield)
Buff Heavy Flamethrower at least range + Spear.
Stun Gun Is Overpowered and hard to also counter, make it where you cant swap out guns or utility? instead of freezing in a spot for so long instead of just being a target for lights to pick an easy kill.
I also think Landmines should go back to 2, not a 15s wait time, i found this to be important to kill lights since they love to just run up on everything.
Revert Mesh Shield, i feel like with this current mesh shield its no longer useful as a team specialisation, more of a yourself to protect yourself from getting shot, id be happily given the 500 health as long as u can spam the shield.
Also id like Console Only Servers back, at least make all console players have crossplay off instead of on, its more fair for everyone, for controllers.
