just thought of smth not sure of how good of an idea it is , but to add some counterplay if you manage to melee it while it travels to you , you counter it and it doesnt hook you

High fire rate combined with unlimited ammo is what made the throwing knife the most irritating weapon to play against. There is little to no repercussion for spamming the knives, a few will land anyway. Itās a skill-less crutch as it is right now, either introduce an ammo system (ammo regenerates as time goes by like gadgets, max 2 pairs, 1 new pair every second) or reduce fire rate
light class is way too overpowered
List of high reward but no/less skill required, please balance!
RPG:
- less dmg, more spread at hipfire, slower weapon swap
Charge & Slam: - less dmg per hit
Winch Claw: - allow counterplay, remove stun effect, make it overall slower (initial, execution, pull) so victims can react
Explosive Mines: - louder soundcue, max 1 mine at a time, lower damage
Stun Gun: - HOLD-Rework: Full Input-Block, but you can't attack at the same time, because you have to hold it
Throwing Knives: - increase the delay betwen first and second projectile
Sniper: - bulletdrop, no hitscan/less velocity - effects only long ranges - Make Powershift playable again!
Model 1887: - more spread - midrange damage is crazy for a shotgun gamewise
Healing Beam - slower rate, no heal stacking

that would be better than what we have right now
but winch claws hit detection is really buggy sometimes
it might just end up phasing through your melee, just to still catch you on the return trip
maybe instead, if you get winched, you get tied up in the chain and get slowed, you are freed once you quick melee it 2-3 times
instead of being pulled into melee range, a heavy can catch up instead
it would prevent us from being pulled into unfavorable situations that always result in death
it puts some risk on the heavy, since they have to run after you
taking some distance from the heavy is rewarded, because you have more time to unwinch yourself before the heavy catches up
dome/mesh blocking it would only help those that use it and just enforce them as strict meta even harder
also @pseudo latch, something i would like to add
a big part of melee's skill (and balance) comes from getting close to the target in the first place
when fighting a heavy, you need to either kill them before they get to you, or run away
if they just run in without thinking, they will be gunned down and punished
but the winch claw stun specifically enables you to do just that
mindlessly run at someone and win
it removes the gameplay between seeing them and them being in range, where the punishment normally happens
we end up in situation where melee's risks are largely nullified and the usually remaining counterplay is removed (because you're already in range and running doesn't build distance fast enough)
if you weren't stunned during the winch, you could at the very least fight back and gain a slight advantage that might be able to save your life every once in a while
it probably wouldn't turn combat winch into a net negative but even if it did, if you just run at someone while using melee from 17 meters away you should be punished
RPG - major damage reduction (140 -> 60-70) is all thatās necessary. Small recharge buff too.
Charge & Slam - 130 damage shouldnāt be immediate. Either reduce the damage of the first hit or ramp it up the further you travel
Winch - all of these suggestions totally kill it, itād be a detriment to use. Stopping players from being pulled any closer than 8-10m is preferable.
Mines - definitely need to be more utility than raw damage. I wouldnāt mind the current volume if the damage wasnāt so extreme.
Stun gun - horrible suggestion for 2v1 scenarios. Removing player agency is always terrible. Greatly reducing the movement penalty is desirable.
Knives - hurting usability is a bad idea, they already have a higher skill floor than most weapons. Damage needs to be toned down.
Sniper - sounds good, similar to KS23.
Model - already overshadowed by easy meta automatic weapons which are viable at all ranges. Zero nerfs needed, small QOL buffs only.
Healing beam - heal rate is fine and can be out damaged. Stacking should be removed.

no penalty for team wipes means that the 1st place team after half time is actually more incentivized to third party - so I think a slightly longer time penalty for team wipes would be good, plus perhaps a 15% loss. Please add an indicator line on each teams bar on the bar chart in top left so we don't need to do math for this kind of thing and can just see where they'd be after getting wiped š¤š»

seeing as kills count for 500 now, there should be some kind of "assist counts as kill" mechanic because right now it's quite unfair

I feel that in this new system it would be best to increase the value of vaults later in the game - because it's marketly harder to come back from last place after halftime now.

the spawn logic on the first vaults seems to be working well, so perhaps this thinking could be applied to the rest of the vaults?

Indeed, in fact if anything there's bugs in the game that make them harder to play which should probably get fixed. (Nothing major just knives who often don't deal damage or go through enemies)

This must be done or consider cashout gone for good. Losing ranked cashout was a big blow and now with this penalty remove it's feeling very casual and empty.
Removing this feature has made the tournament unfair for the people who were in the knockout zone, there is no way to make a comeback and makes the game already fixed who will win.Bring back -30% cash penalty Embark.
For the most part I think the changes to cash out/world tour are good. The games are closer. The only part I don't think works well is removing the team wipe penalty. This causes people to TDM more then they did before as well as takes away a good strategic element to the game. I also find it makes coins useless except for in the final round since a team wipe doesn't really affect anything anymore.

I think this might be a symptom of people just genuinely not having fun with the game. So theyāre trying to inject any sort of fun they can think of. Like for me personally, Lights are the opposite of fun to play against, to the point I wish they just werenāt in the game. But as a Heavy player Iām that for someone else because of the Winch or whatever else I may be using that has been deemed unfair.
The lack of direction seems to be wearing people down really bad after three seasons. Obviously this isnāt true for all of them, as there are bad actors for sure.

funny enough, those are the exact same weapons that lights use to counter bad lights. you're only reinforcing the other dudes point, you're just someone who wants to run in and shoot people, and then complain when you get caught out of position (mines, winched, ate an rpg, one shot by TK, no cover from sniper etc.)

Sniper is probably one of the weapons that requires the most (satisfying) skill to use and one of the only weapons that counter other lights effectively, and yet he wants another nerf on top of it so he can dash/cloak & smg like an idiot and call it skill.
Every single "nerfs" and "buffs" on his list is just to make a cloak + taser + smg/sword loadout even easier than it already is.

@sacred siren I agree snipers can be annoying and I get you, I hope they find a way to change them without removing the nervous and satisfying gameplay they offer.
The team wipe penalty needs to return. There are situations where mathematically, you are guaranteed to lose, even if you double both Vault 5 and 6. So even if I wipe the team in second place and steal their money, I still get 3rd or 4th place.
The absence of a team wipe penalty also completely removes the need to coin. There's honestly absolutely no reason to even coin anymore if you don't lose any money for wiping. If you only have one teammate up, you might as well just wait for the wipe

Pre winch Melee or shotgun heavy was miserable because you were consistently out paced and would only rarely close the distance to the point heavy used charge n slam
2 if you're gonna take away RPGs damage which I'm not against it needs a much shorter CD because it doesn't bring enough utility to justify that long of a CD
3 allowing a player to shoot a player whilst being pulled would make winch unusable against light the high dps class and your primary pull target seeing as the heavy can't do any damage that means in the time it takes to winch (and you want to make it slower) heavy could lose 1/3 to 2/3 of they're HP also making it slower by several factors wouldn't just effect players remember winch also interacts with your environment. It's also a poor design because if you yank someone who's by they're team this already happens people start shooting you so you're defenseless you're slow you're gonna be beamed down and you get punished for hitting your util by enemies getting 1-2 seconds of free dps on you they're team can still shoot you and all this to pull them into melee range where they're still several items that counter it and at the same change you want to buff stun gun to have no counterplay because it makes someone completely useless?
Also why does community suggested balance changes always just to make things they dislike absolute trash not worse but just garbage and community recommended reworks always end up as useless or more annoying than the original

Anyway you don't have to close the distance because people come to you. Cashout or Terminal attack is all about defending, so you don't need to chase!

2 I didnt say how much dmg. The hipfire and swap time nerf would reflect the utility part. Compare frag grenades to it. Its exclusivly for kills but compared to RPG way more difficult to do so. And everbody has frags but nobody wants to use it. RPG has a 99,9% pickrate just for easier kills and not for destroying gadgets or building parts.
3 Again, I didnt mention how much slower. Im sure there is a fair sweetspot. TTK L vs H is twice as much. Winch claw and RPG gg no matter which class you face...

I get where youāre coming from, but i do once again need to talk about the equation again.

Commitment
Winch needs to have an output to justify the commitment, and already current winch is victim sided on who gets to start acting again, leaving victims a lot of room to either use disengage tools (dash, taser, bouncepad, goo grenade) or to open the trade themselves, so i already think winch gives victims ample time to go āwell shit, this is happeningā without allowing them to buffer a dash or ready a bouncepad or just goo off the pull halfway and completely counteract the heavy playing properly. Without the stun winch would be too easy to counteract, and a lot of its usecases become a āwhy did I botherā or āoh I actively killed myself doing that, greatā.
And 17 meters sounds like, and admittedly is, a fair bit, but itās well within the Goldilocks range weāve learned to give heavy respect, especially when you know they have a melee option. Winch gave melee a chance to actually play, because in S2 using tools like the sledgehammer for anything but the fun value got you in trouble.
At the end of the day, the only things winch really needs, in my eyes, are lower tolerances on what counts as a successful hook (demanding line of sight, breaking immediately if itās ever broken) and maybe a mild range reduction, im talkin like 2 meters down to 15 so its not in this awkward in-between. Because thatās another problem, we make winch too short it becomes another issue of āwhy do I bother using this, if im getting within 10 meters just to land this I may as well run something else and use a gun good at 10 metersā

Can you nerf the accuracy of the xp54. Retribute the damage or reload speed or something. Iām just fed up with getting lasered by an smg at medium range, heavy tagged at long range, and demolished at point blank. Itās really quite overpowered. I speak for a silent majority. Buff smoke nades by reducing CD by 2 seconds, making name/HP bar not show up when damaged inside of smoke/through smoke, I have a theory that it already does but if it doesnt: disable all aim assist inside of smoke/aiming inside of smoke, disable turret tracking, glitch mine triggering (this one I feel since more proximity based and possibly not a sensor like the turret would make this one not doable)

I had to situations where i deal 400+ dmg TO LIGHT PLAYER and he survived it...
The current ranking system is honestly terrible.
Even when you win, you barely get any points, but when you lose, you get docked over 1000 points.
It's absolutely insane.
Losing one game can cost you the points equivalent to around six wins.
On top of that, there are so many cheaters.
If you get destroyed by a full cheater team in the Ruby rank, you have to be prepared to lose around 1500 points.
Something needs to be done to improve this.
With a point system like this, it's honestly better to go back to a fixed point system like in Season 1.

the little extra time the winched player gets is not enough to really do anything about it
most tools take too long to deploy, you don't have enough time to kill them and running doesn't build damage fast enough
lights often die instantly to a heavy attack, mediums are 1-shot to rpg after any hit and heavies cant build a gap to avoid follow up hits
maybe removing the stun would make people question why they use winch but that's preferable to what its doing currently
that being making any enemy that gets 1-shot constantly frustrated because they aren't allowed to fight a heavy or risk being 1 shot
if winch sucked, you could always stop using it in favor of something more fun
but currently you cant stop enemies from abusing something broken
i would like to see recon senses added back in some form, even if itās not used for the same purpose, such as seeing canisters and gadgets (mines, turrets, etc.) instead of players
Removing the stun gives the victim way too much room to turn the winch into their punish, not heavies. Heavy should not be consistently punished for using their tool correctly.
Reduce its range by 2 meters and make it demand LoS, but otherwise itās fine.

I feel like the range damage fall off is not enough. I get lasered by it from pretty far distances. feels a little too strong when trying to get away.
i would say no frag indicator that's a bit to much i would like that frags glow or something like that so that you can see it but you dont see it 100% of the time and the glow would make that you have to pay attention yourself
edit: then you could also use smoke to block the glow (would make smoke a bit stronger i never see people use smoke so would be nice for smoke user )

Unfortunately third parties where one team gets to win for doing nothing will remain an issue as long as thereās four teams.
As for the argument of your third paragraph, under the implications that you A: manage to get the boxes staggered in the way you want them while also being able to walk away with one, and more importantly B: three separate teams just fucking let you deposit both cashbox 3 and 4, follows by C: you yet again sinking the most valuable cashbox, then maybe you deserve all the cash you just earned.
Not to mention, if all youāre doing is sinking the boxes, people are going to catch up to you with completion cash fast. You will still need to finish some of those boxes do secure a placement, but if you do so, then I see absolutely no issue with you being rewarded for doing objectives.
You can literally win by just vaults. You do NOT need a cashout but yes I agree, as I noted in my post, that after depositing both vaults you return to the cashout thats going to finish first and try to third party.
Make the stun gun like it is on real life: super limited range, canāt fire a weapon while stunning someone because you have to hold the stun gun while it sends electricity down strings that are attached to the opp. If the opp moves out of range, the strings disconnect and the stun effect is lifted. In retribution, it does 15 damage, and the enemy cannot turn quickly or ads while being stunned.
It becomes a team gadget instead of a free unfair kill for light.

Cashout change's are awful. If your in first on the last vault there's little, and often no risk of being able to lose cause wipes aren't a thing now.

Ive thought this as well. Iāve always thought buzzer beaters where if youāre holding the steal when the timer finishes itāll go unless youāre interrupted

Everbody is complaining about op shit and request nerfs of this or that. When the real problem is a skill issue and facing opponents way over your skill level.
Devs, I get making changes to the modes now while the game is still āyoungā especially cashout since itās not ranked currently, but did you play-test these changes?
Why not just create a ābeta/experimentalā playlist for players to try it out and give feedback before doing a hard launch with significant changes. My squad we all have 15+ years of FPS experience, we would be happy to play-test and give feedback. I really canāt make sense of the recent changes, even with you guys giving your supporting reasoning for doing them.
The cashout changes are terrible and have really hurt the fun of the mode. You had a near-perfect, unique, fun, competitive game mode that now doesnāt play nearly as well.
Even when I read the changes on paper I could tell āthatās not going to be goodā but actually playing it, theyāre even worse.
Whenever I type in here I try to give detailed, constructive feedback but these changes are way off the mark.
Sent a message within the last week giving my feedback on the changes, hopefully you will take those tweaks into consideration.
Could we bring back Dead Go Boom and/or remove Low Gravity? And instead of instantly exploding, allow the enemy/friendly trophy blink bright red 3-5 times before they explode. This will allow you to escape if you're paying attention, or throw your teammates trophy at the enemy to cause extra damage. Dead Go Boom is a good concept, but it wasn't handled and received very well, and these changes might help

Please look into rebalancing the audio mixing. Team mate footsteps are so loud I can hear them from miles away, but I can't hear the player shooting me in the back at point blank.
Increase the points for winning in World Tour. It takes to long to rank to gold 1. Some of us have a job and a life and dont have time to grind all day and night.. Or let all gold levels compete in emerald

Winch gives half of heavies options a little more more viability within heavies effective range. Considering we only work as a class within 25 meters, we should be good at fighting people within 25 meters, and half our weapons donāt even work past two-to-five meters without winch.
Winch is a sacrifice made to durability or destruction in return for utility, utility heavy badly needed. Heavy as a melee class doesnāt work without a gapcloser because heās too slow, this gives half of heavies loadout a chance to work.
They still risk plenty damage by the sheer virtue of I still need you within ~15 meters of me when the average gun on classes that arenāt heavy works comfortably at up to 30, and the hook is still victim-sided as the victim regains control first.
Make it so we can progress previous Battle Passes like Halo Infinite.

I don't agree with your take
The moment you get hit by winch you lose the matchup. The fight shouldn't start after you get winched as that means you already got outplayed. You can hide behind cover, use gadgets, or throw something in front of you so it winches that instead. And even if you weren't able to react, after dying once, one knows which player has winch and should keep that in mind to counter it

I would still really love to see a scaling percentage of cash lost.
Not losing money after your first cashout, and not losing some of the 5k you have banked after getting consistently wiped by the top team in the lobby objectively feels better. Third parties will always be an issue but not losing your cash makes that palatable.
However for teams that are in first or second, they should still be worried about wiping. I would love to see a scaling percentage, for example:
All cash below 10k cannot be lost
If you have 10k-15k cash 15% gets lost on a wipe
If you have 15k - 20k cash then 20% gets lost on a wipe
If you have 20-25K then 25%
And 25k and up you would lose the original 30% on a wipe.
I feel like this would strike a great balance between bottom teams not getting completely stomped and ending with no cash, but keeping the top teams cautious and having to think about their engagements

Hey @rare spear, just wanted to bring up a scenario where this could be interpreted differently. If we had team wipe penalties + initial 30% gained on insert, I think it would be a pretty bad combo. That scenario would mean, let's say the 10k cashout is put in by another team, they get 3k. you succesfully defend it, but team wipe right after. Obviously this would depend on what # you guys think about going with, but lets just say you lose 15% of the 7k you got, plus 2k for kills, you would be at 7.65k, while the team that inserted it would be at about 5k (saying they got 2k from kills). This difference would definitely feel very undermining for the work that you put into a cashout, just to take it AND defend it. I would say if the Team wipes were added back, they need to balance around the percentage of the cash out gained when inserting the vault.

- Give M60 a purpose. Either tighten its hipfire and up its firerate so it can be used at close ranges effectively or increase its minimum damage so you can actually hurt people past 30.
- Give Lewis its old recoil back. Not S2 recoil, S1 recoil. Itās damage is comparable to mediums guns, itās recoil should be to.
- Fix KS23 hitreg so we arenāt firing blanks half the time
- Increase MGL splash radius and/or make grenades detonate on enemy impact so the gun doesnāt demand a physics degree to be D-tier on its best days
- Fix Flamer hitreg and give it something it does better than the SA12. Range, damage, better afterburn, something Iām begging here.

Instead of depositing a flat 30% of vault value at point of insertion the cashouts should 'tick'. the 500 per kill is fine, maybe 400 or 300 but certinaly not what it was before becuase it was basically pointless cash. The first vault spawn logic was a great addition, do not change it, if anything work on it to make it better to de-incentivise people running further to 3rd party. Spawn logic is still busted though, I got clips of teams spawning behind my team not 5 seconds after we spawn essentially putting them in a massive advantages position as we (and them) attack the cashout near us. As for the 'ticking' for cashouts, if you really want to stop players going for 3rd parties and instead going for vaults then make them 'tick' through the cash, 10k for example ticks 5 times, 2k each, 15k ticks 3 times and 22k ticks twice, anyone going for a 3rd party will have no choice but to get in and steal as fast as possible rather than waiting for 2 teams to mop each other up and going in to steal in the last 15 seconds as it would be worth almost nothing unless it was a higher value vault but the 30% penalty has to come back, otherwise it doesn't matter, maybe make it 15% instead. I personally dont think people should have to do maths inside an fps game so maybe better visuals indicating to people what -30/15% would do to their total cash should they wipe.
Dont worry the queue is awfull in terminal attack , sometimes you need to wait 15 min to find a lobby, most palyers play world tour there max 2min 30 you find a lobby.
Please please please for the love of God buff dagger. 300 hours on the weapon and it just keeps getting nerfed. I know pretty much every single good dagger player in the game personally, if you want our opinions on properly balancing the dagger with the other mele weapons just dm me or something and I can send you all of their discords. This is a very, very vital but tiny change I've been waiting since beta and I hope gets added soon. Actual time being displayed when stealing a cashout or reviving a teammate, it feels pretty bad when you die just when you're about to succeed and you cannot see how many seconds you had left until you finished.
I filled out the the feedback form. A lot of the questions can't be answered properly because you changed too much at the same time. Could have given real feedback if each change had been done separately so we could actually tell how the one change affected gameplay.

What if instead of the current "+30% of total cashbox value being given to the team that inserts it" system, there was a mechanic where if a team inserts a cashbox into a cashout station and is then able to hold it for the entire duration of the cashout time without it being stolen at any time, that team gets a bonus amount of cash at the end of the cashout. This bonus would only be available to the team initiating a cash out, and would permanently disappear if the cashout is stolen at any point. This would give teams an incentive to get cashouts into stations (much like the current system) but also adds a layer of skill as the team needs to play well in order to receive the bonus (it could also act as a risk Vs reward scenario if cash loss team wipes returned)

Allow for the cashouts to 'slow burn' instead of awarding all of the cash upon completion. A certain portion of cash could be awarded at certain points during the cashout process (e.g: awarding $2500 every 30 seconds on a $10,000 cashout) This could help counter the impact of third partying as stealing a cashout last second after destroying a team already weakened from a previous fight would only get them a certain percentage of the cash total.

Adding some more events would be cool, as a lot of us have felt that the current event pool is beginning to go stale. Perhaps an event where plant pots rain from the sky, damaging those it hits, or maybe having guns fire paint instead, still doing damage but also slightly obscuring the vision of players who get hit more and more. It's a good opportunity to go completely bonkers and embrace some of the wackier aspects of the game.

The team that has the cashout should get the amount of cash correlating to the time they had the cashout. No extra cash for kills. But maybe 10-15% for team wipes.
@rare spear Doubt you'd give it a read but going in detail on the form you shared on Cashout Tournament. I think it's a step in the right direction! (for a casual player like me)
- Removing cash deduction feels justified since losing time is already valuable, time is money itself in the game. Although I can justify a 5 - 10% deduction for wipes. A 30% deduction felt demotivating to continue and also made me feel guilty when I'm the last one to die
- 30% reward for placing the cashbox doesn't work out for me, good intention but I felt like every other game now, I'm in a state where I can't win and spend the last two minutes wandering. I think it should be reduced or even revamped since cashboxes can be stolen just a few steps away from depositing. Personally, I'd reward money from what percentage they got it traveled from point A to B. If you took it 70% of the to Cashout before someone stole it, you earn 70% of the 30% deposit teased for example.
- The $500 kill reward makes getting into a fight feel more worth it than a burden or distraction since it helps the team with spare cash, but this could be a reason why some matches feel unwinnable as well! But I can't be certain myself
- The new cashbox placements have been an improvement, removed the feeling of being too far from both boxes from spawn or mid game, self explanatory
In general I really like the game to reward that team cooperation and creativity on stealing and defending than those who know how to gun everything down, but you may disagree! Thanks!

Minigun for heavy: Fast firerate high spread. get too close and you get shredded. more dps than flame thrower but harder to aim and with a little more range, just the spread at range being horrendous
Marksman rifle for medium: Im not sure which one but medium needs a marksman rifle or semi auto sniper. i want ranged medium. would pair really well with a reworked recon senses
Dual pistols for light: akimbo full auto pistols. would just be really cool
Light needs another team movement ability/alternative to gateway. gateway dominates not because its op but because its the only movement that helps the whole team for light.

The deduction is needed. It leads to a situation where the first team can sometimes literally not lose. (before they'd run away and often wouldn't lose but you could find them still somtimes*)
It's led to more third partying because now the team in first has literally no reason not to engage the last vault. If they win it cool they win it. If they wipe they don't risk anything.
Its also changed the regular rounds more in line with the final round where suiciding sometimes is literally the play to save coins/overall save time without as many repercussions.
I'll have it known that I like the new changes to Cashout. The game mode feels more fun because of it.

We NEED the -30% total cash on squad wipe back, or maybe even 20-25% also. The mode has lost much of its soul and enjoyment knowing that you either wonāt come off first place, or have no chance of qualifying since you can only slay out so much in a short minute or two. The steal timer changes have been feeling quite nice and l personally donāt mind the extended duration, but being shoved into a locker with zero hope of coming back is not healthy for the player.
Also, increase cash gained on kill from $500 to $1000, like a Bank-It coin if we wanna go this route of getting (potentially) less overall cash

No! We need a matchmaking system that works so we all face players on our own skill level. And a cashout that gives you a part of the win correlating to how long you held the cashout.

Biggest downside is reduced chance of making a last second comeback, but it's one of the things that the community complained about ("durr we played well the whole round and hurr the last team wiped and stole last second womp womp")
Biggest upside is that there's no more hiding for the last one minute of the round to keep your #1 spot safe

Phase - can phase thru destructible environments (walls/floors etc) canāt take damage while phased, but will fall thru floor if standing: has two charges and a long cooldown
Rewind - rewind back to previous location, a trail shows the rewind path for enemies, unsure of cooldown time, maybe same length as two dashes
Gadget
Smoke drone - continuous smoke dispersion in a designated area, item can be destroyed
Weapon - poison dart gun - only 2-3 darts before reload, hitting an opponent will do some initial damage but then will cause them to leave a trail of poison gas for a short time, the more darts they are hit with the bigger the trail
Mediums
Specializations
Electric zip line - extended zip line range, double zip line speed and enemies take chip damage when using it
Guard dog - robotic dog that can either patrol or hunt and will chase down enemies biting them to cause glitch and small damage
Gadget
Black hole simulator - pulls objects and people towards its center, lasts a few seconds or is immediate unsure
Weapon - m1grand with bayonet - slow firing long range but does increased melee damage

Specializations
Super hero jump - jumps 15-20 feet in the air allowing for aerial breaching and map maneuvering, will break thru floors and walls, push objects and on the way down can damage players equal to fall distance
Adrenaline booster - gives movement speed of lights, long cooldown
Gadgets
Stationary wall shield - a small single sided barrier that can be shot thru by friendlies, less health that regular barrier but more than dome shield
Homing rocket - less damage than rpg but canāt quickly lock onto targets and track them
Mortar - one or two shots per charge- long cooldown, set mortar than throw smoke signal for it to launch mortars at designated location
Weapon - saw blaster - shoots saw blades that ricochet 3 times, use alt fire to melee or shoot 3 burst shot that doesnāt ricochet
No hes being sarcastic. you can counter it the same way you counter getting shot by moving. it doesn't even explode if it hits near you so you don't even get chipped for 70 damage because the other guy missed.
Movement and or decision making counters most things in this game. Sure if you get hit by it and your not a light you're likely dead but that's mostly on you. you can still use jumpad and or zipline to make distance if you react quick enough. They can follow but they rarely expect it and react in time.
This games not quite a hero shooter but its close. in most hero shooter's there's abilities that are relatively hard cc. The only way to "counter" them is to bait them out with either decision making or movement or relying on team work to save you. (easy example would be ana's sleep dart in ow2).
Also there's literally counters in the game for it. They added glitch barrels, the thing that disables everything. Don't have one around you when you need it probably either a decision making or map knowledge issue. You can also use range, It has far less range then your guns.
Also a fair amount of them are either running melee or the shotgun. both of which have little to no range so they're trading off effective range for a cd ability that can result in high burst damage.

Damn that was a tough survey for on the fence people LOL. to add to any discussion about it, I'll say that it's tough to separate the Light Meta from these changes. Both the increased kill reward and the bonus on depositing buffs lights much more than other classes, given their lethality and mobility.
If these changes were made in s2 with the HMM HHM meta, it would be a different story
The changes to Cashout have done absolutely nothing to reduce third partying. You guys are insane if you think changing the money values around is gonna change how this mode is played. Honestly, I'm convinced you guys don't even play your own game at this point
The way to play cashout properly is to stagger the cashouts, take the one closest to finishing, and then move to the other Cashout. In doing so, you third party every engagement. This is still how the mode is played, and it is how the mode will continue to be played, that's just how it is.
All you guys have done by changing the money values and removing team wipe penalties is further incentivise third partying, because you can just take all of the cashouts by rotating third parties and make it mathematically impossible for the 3rd and 4th place teams to qualify.
Let's put this into perspective. You're in 4th place with $4,000. The 1st place team just doubled the last Cashout and it's worth $30,000. 1st and 2nd place team have at least $40,000 at this point, so even if you did take the money, you'd be guaranteed a loss unless you kill the ENTIRE lobby multiple times over. I don't think I need to elaborate on how fucking stupid that is.
You guys have an amazing game here, but you're making some really weird decisions and it's confusing all of us, especially the dedicated players who've been here since release. Fix your game embark, I have faith in you

This just happened to me unfortunately. We had a game where even the $1500 for a team wipe and the cashout wouldnāt have put us in range. So we just stood there for 40 seconds waiting to lose. Itās incredibly frustrating.

I see your points here, but I also see the direction where they're trying to go: rewarding teams that play the objectives all the way through and/or dominate fights.
You could very well PTFO and win most gunfights yet lose to some random teams with very negative K/D that simply got lucky steals. More rewards per kill/30% reward upon depositing the vault kinda mitigates that, but yes indeed, there will always be third partying anyway. You could make it so that the defending teams gets its specs/ammo filled up instantly when wiping teams... but that would probably cause other problems.
I think they may have gone too far by removing team wipe penalties, it was part of the thrill of these games to care about survivability, and it did make it so that you could turn games around.
Can we buff the model just a TINY bit I think that reload animation needs a change I get itās supposed to be punishing if you donāt hit those first shots but I feel I should be able to reload a little quicker when Im in a situation where Iām pressed for time especially against multiple opponents and I have to wait for my first shell to reload when itās not empty for as long as I do I it just feels like Iām getting outgunned might just be a me problem but I feel it a lot going against lights
I donāt need to ask Balise to make opinions for me. 50 a hit would gut its efficacy as a close range punish, which is half the point. You either up the knockback or reduce the damage (and reduce it slightly, not by 80 damage)
Gadget swapping and animation cancels are removed because it allowed you to circumvent the limitations of the weapon, which you werenāt supposed to do.
Theres a large difference between āgood if you learn itā and ābad even if youāre good at itā. Sniper is good if you learn it. MGL is bad no matter how good you are at it. Knowing the difference and what changing what does is important, so keep that in mind when brainstorming ideas for TK changes.
Game fun. I think more WT cups with more different rulesets will help us find the one true ruleset. I don't think the Perfect Cashout exists on the line between pre and post 3.6.0, it might be 90° to the left and up a bit. Let's make a bigger net and hope we catch it.

TLDR: a continuous, slow pull over 15 meters instead of instant, but the heavy cannnot follow up himself, victim can still fight back (with some restrictions, no util? no aim down sights?, one sided or both sides?)
I think that the changes made to world tour would work great for a casual version, but not for world tour OR a competitive cashout mode in the future. Here are my opinions:
- Removal of cash penalty on team wipe was a mistake. There is no longer a penalty for playing bad or taking risky engagements. The team in first place near the end of rounds are encouraged to continue to fight cashouts because they can. I believe this change makes third-party situations more common.
- Upping the kill reward was good, eliminating opponents should be rewarded and previously the reward felt too little. I would like to see teams that deal significant damage to an opponent to be rewarded even if another team deals the final piece of damage, like a $200 assist bonus.
- The new vault spawning logic is excellent, it usually feels like 3v3 x 3v3 now instead of 3v3v3 x 3 like it often used to.
- I believe the 30% cashbox being given to teams immediately on cashbox insertion is not great. It encourages teams to have a light run off with the cashbox to insert it instead of playing as a team, and even if you are waiting at a cashout or in the way of a team moving to a cashout, if they slip by you for one moment they recieve the bonus. I would personally like to see a percentage of the cash box rewarded to the team after a certain percentage of the cashout timer. You could keep the 30% cash values; reward 30% of a cashout to a team if they own the cashout after 30% of the timer. This encourages teams to deposit the cashout AND be together at that time to not have it immediately stolen. It also encourages teams to attack different cashouts at different times instead of whichever cashout has a lower/higher time remaining as there are now two different stages. Additionally, third-party situations may decrease (at least in competent lobbies) as players are encouraged not to have long drawn out 3 team fights. I think this mechanic should at least be played with for one of the world tour stages.
I donāt hate this idea. A tether like that to keep escapes from happening, maybe hitting your specialization button pulls them in further. Or drags them in whichever direction youāre walking. Especially grabbing the cashout. Being able to leash it and walk it around sounds fun.

There needs to be a cash penalty for dying. Rn 3 kills and 3 deaths is $1500 for you and $500 for each other team, resulting in a $1000 gain over other teams.
Plugging vault giving 30% of the money is good, but that 30% should not be taken from the cashout itself OR have the cashout give a certain amount of money after a minute, and the rest of the money after the 2 minutes.
Make vaults open immediately or make opening the vault worth a little more.
Team wipe should take 20-25% of your teamās money, with each playerās death also having a small penalty.
Make cash values easy to work with mathematically. Multiples of 5,000 or something.

I was in doubt if I would like the wipe penalty changes, but now Iām convinced itās a good change. Makes the game way more fun overall, and especially when solo Qāing it takes away a lot of the frustrations I previously had with randoms. And for me it doesnāt change much if I get a penalty or not, but for the lower bracket teams especially it gives them a chance to fight for the win as well. Remember folks, itās not the top players that get hurt by wipe loss, mostly the less skilled players. I actually liked all the changes from last week, been grinding my ass off in WT! š

One of the main arguments I've heard AGAINST "procedural cashouts" is that it would lose the mode's identity of last-second steals to win the game. With this implementation there would still be that opportunity. There would be two last-second steal opportunities, just one for a lesser value
- IMO WT finals should be 3 cashouts to win instead of 2
Feedback not related to WT:
- TA health changes per class is great. IMO I think there should be a further increase for M/H
- Changes made to dash and grapple are great to balance out light's specs
- Suggestion for new light spec: footprint tracker, sacrifice mobility specs to be able to track down people - like the last member of a team to get the wipe or stop a revive
- Changes to medium's healing beam I think were a good idea but I instead think it should be nerfed by implementing a healing rate ramp-up after a second of not taking damage, similar to TF2. This would make the spec highly effective in resetting the team's health after a fight but would not make one player's effective health massively increase while under active fire. It would encourage healers to fight instead of heal during an engagement. It would also encourage 2 medium teams to diversify specs instead of the "raid boss" heavy strat
- another limited time mode like wild west and steal the spotlight
- More casual modes. Suggestion: capture the flag; 5v5 (7v7?) teams spawn on opposite sides of a map, a vault deep into both spawns, and cashout stations mildly into the spawn area. Objectives are color-coded so you need to get the vault deep into enemy spawn and get it back to the cashout on your side. Cashboxes despawn some time after opened. Stealing cancels the cashout. Complete 3 cashouts to win, the time a cashout takes reduces either as the match goes on or for each unsuccessful cashout. Possibly, coin respawns could be turned off for a team with an active cashout (you can still revive) (maybe this could be a LTM like TA was)

The winch claw for example⦠take that useless riot shield and make it so that canāt get winched when blocked. Or dual blades can reflect and effectively null winches effects or even parry that bitch and stagger the heavy.
BOOM riot shield and dual blades received small buff which makes them extremely good against an oppressive winch claw.
Nothing in that example breaks the game it essentially buffed two trash weapons and slightly nerfed winch without even touching winch claw.
Do that for other overpowered weapons like throwing knives and the model and BOOM you donāt nerf anything so everything is still good but you situationally buff a counter AND THEN YOU HAVE A GOOD ROCK PAPER SCISSORS GAME WHICH IS WHAT WE ALL LIKED IN SEASON 1 instead of this everything got nerfed to trash bs game

Being the guy that brings a Bow to a gunfight has a certain Ego to it and I love it.
It's the same for the throwing knives, riot shield, sword, hammer, etc.
I personally appreciate the fact that you guys are trying to make so many customizable ways to play.
That's been one of my favorite things about the game since day one. Crazy ways to play, like the nukes back in the day or now that we can run invis and shotgun
Or I can be the guy with the dash and the bow.
I can use the thermal bore and break a hole open for me to try and take some folks out with.
Bow + dash = better Hanzo
Sword + dash = better Genji
Hook + shotgun (+other abilities) = better Roadhog
Mesh + dome + hammer = better Rein
MMM with heal beams & Defib + actually useful weapons = better Mercy pocket
Invis + XP-54 = MUCH better Sombra.
Lol I could go on but fr, the customization of play style (not just cosmetics) is Legendary in this game.

About cash-out.
One thing that keeps happening , and now we use as well since the recent changes is a team pulling a comeback last second only because they put the cash-box in. While it's good that there's more point in getting the sixth cash-box, even if there's only one cash-out left , it's also a bit unfair to the team that tried their best protecting the cash-out , or the team that tried to steal it (depending on the situation)
Having team wipe as a punishment might be a good thing to balance the 30% thing out ,

Overall the recent changes have been rather positive changes even tho it might've not seemed so at first, before team wipes were great for having a comeback , and there was always the option to sit down and watch the rest of the match when you're the first team or even the second in match end-game(playing it safe) . Now you gotta be active all of the match so you can stay as the top team , getting kills as much as possible , making sure to get the 30% for putting the cash-box in the cash-out and not let other teams put the box in,
Even in end-game it's a very bad idea to stay and camp somewhere till the match finishes just because you're the first team ,rather by doing so you make sure you lose the match , in the past cash-out version i always aimed to be the second team , never risked to be the first , didn't see the need to , now it's always best to aim for being the first team, otherwise winning won't be a guarantee . The changes makes the game mode much more fun and engaging

my favorite quality of the new changes is that its never a good play to just sit back and watch/hide, sure you can have such a lead that you already won, and can do that, but it never feels like my goal is to be as far from any active gameplay as possible
The RPG is the most frustrating item in this entire game, I'm fine with invisibility, I'm even fine with the winch, fine with whatever, but rolling up and decimating a heavy watching them miss so many shots and then just resort to their "I'm not good enough to win this fight let me just pull out my rpg" tactic is infuriating

While we're experimenting with Cashout, I think the final round needs a big rework.
The game is called THE FINALS. Yet the banner round of the banner mode is a cut-down version of Quick Cash. Which is already a cut-down version of Cashout.
There's no unique rules, or graphical arena changes to acknowledge you reached THE FINALS. The cutscene is no different from winning a game of Power Shift. To call it an anticlimax is an understatement.
There should be a unique win cutscene. The area should have some visual changes to show it's the grand final, like banners or such. And the mode itself should be unique in order to sell the presitge of reaching the finals, but also have increased peril to sell that only the best can win.
Something like the blackout/tripwires and turrets mode. Atmospheric lighting, and environmental issues to contend with too. Real 'Running Man' stuff. Make it feel like an event.
I want to feel like winning THE FINALS is a big deal. Akin to a BR victory. I want to feel like just reaching it is. But right now it honestly just feels pretty meh, and the final matches themselves are usually a bit empty and underwhelming.
It's not great when the most basic and boring matches (format-wise) in the entire game are Cashout finals. It's like instead of Rainbow Road, Mario Kart had just a basic oval track at the end of the hardest cup.

Hey yeah this new way promotes 3rd/4th parties pretty much the entire game
Not sure how much it would hurt Que times but a role Que might be good too, one of each for 3v3 and max only two of each for TA but it allow some mixup there since itās only 5v5 and some teams might have one less of the 3 rolls
After playing this update a lot recently I have to say I really like it. I think third parties are less meaningful than they used to be and it gives people less incentive to get the cashout at the very end. We are finally being rewarded for putting the cash box in and for actually holding the cashout by fragging.

So . . . I had a conversation yesterday with a friend about the new rules.
He is in the camp of "I hate the team wipe penalty being removed" & he also does not like the instant 30%.
When I talked to him about it his reasoning boiled down to "I don't like change".
And I feel like that's the general complaint this time around. I don't think people would have been happy unless you did what the overwhelming majority of people wanted just to get the approval from the masses.
(Since social media has Majority of peoples brains linked these days it's easy to get them happy or mad)
Back on topic, these fresh rules to the game make it more engaging because these days I gotta consider new rules. . . Other people are different, they want their strats to work all the time.
I think what I'm trying to say is, when you go through these survey responses, remember:
- that alot of them are kids that are playing this game because it's free.
- This game is competitive, so the sweats that have their "tried-and-true" strategy mixed up and taken from them, they'll be salty.

Fix the match up! Four rubies and a diamond obviously all grouping against a random mix of golds and plats is so stupid! It should NEVER HAPPEN, it's easy to put a limit on what ranks can play against others

idea for WT changes?
1st:
Team Wipe Penalties should activate during the halfway mark, team wipes will activate with a 15% hit. It raises the stakes and will stop the winning teams from just apeing without risk.
2nd:
Your team should only get the money they earn from a cashout. Meaning as my team holds the cashout, we get the money over time but instantly to our teams āaccountā. That way it is truly distributing the money based on how long you are defending it. It would feel better on a skill level, in my opinion. The difference would be you get an extra $1000 for either putting in the cashout OR being the last team to hold the cashout till completion.
3rd:
This is the most wacky idea butā¦. Third or fourth parties should have their cooldown times INCREASED or have a slight nerf to their arsenal if they step in a certain vicinity with two other teams already fighting. This should include an indicator on your screen that will let you know when you have your debuff activated. This will only activate if you are in the vicinity for (X) amount of time.
I've heard the second point a lot, but really not a fan. I think that completely negates last second steals, like completely. Even stealing a 22k with like 30 seconds to spare would get you like 7k, I'm a big fan of the last person to hold it getting the most value, as it encourages exciting gameplay. But i might be a minority opinion cuz i also love that the new update makes playing around third/fourth parties more common

About the World Tour rule changes, in general:
If you are one of the two top/best teams in the match, then the rule changes will be highly beneficial for you. Youāll get more cash, games are less stressful, and you will cement your place in 1st or 2nd easily. This was my experience for the most part.
If you are the underdogs of the match, then the rule changes can make the game feel unwinnable at times and increase the probability of a no-win scenario.
If the game has at least three equally skilled teams (almost never happens in WT), then sometimes the only thing deciding if you win or not is if another team chooses to contest your objective, or that you get a closer spawn to a vault. So, for me, who exclusively solo queues and normally makes it to the final round, I like these changes. The rule changes help me more than not. However, if youāre the underdog of the match, the favorability of the rule changes are mixed. The 30% instant deposit bonus and the lack of team wipe penalty can either help you or place you in a no-win scenario. Eliminations alone may not be worth enough to make a comeback if you are slightly behind.

It's funny third partying was the main issue & they managed to make it worse. Especially on top of how quickly the score can increase by just racking up eliminations now the kill reward is increased & dont lose anything for wiping. One or the other is nice but not both at same time. Id prefer the increase kill reward. Since there definitely needs to be some sort of penalty for dying as a team. Stealing the cashout & holding it as long as possible should be core focus. Otherwise, basically they can just thirdparty the vault to clean up the teams & then easily get that 30% by having a light deposit it. Then they theoretically don't even have to worry about defending it cause they could just retake it in the last few moments when it really matters, since you aren't really rewarded for stealing midway. Which is real fun when your team DCs & leaves you alone, because of such. Ofcourse they would, when putting in the effort to steal just to have it taken last second & getting nothing to really show for it.
Suggestion Summary:

⢠Keep the kill reward & bring back team wipe penalty.

smgs, especially the xp54, are overperforming at longer ranges while also dominating close quarters, making them feel like just better versions of the medium assault rifles. smgs should be the strongest at closer ranges, but its easier to hit medium to long range shots with smgs than the assault rifles

I have a game change that would make playing a lot easier for many players, it's about the key. It would be much better if the person who picks up the key could put it in the virtual bag instead of holding it in their hand, simply because I don't feel like running defenselessly across half the map myself would also be much more fair, since it would also be a 5v5 in this scenario and many would take the key instead of leaving it lying there in disgust.

Defibs should just have a cooldown shared across the team. That way theres less value of having two medics on a team since they cant go from having 1 player left to all 3 being back almost instantly.
2 Heal beams also shouldn't be stackable on one player. Cap the heal rate at whatever it is for one heal gun.
If you're going to nerf mediums core role this much though, we MUST have some more offensive firepower to be a viable class. Other than the Model, all medium primaries are good at best. FCAR is a pea shooter and is a marginally better gun than the AKM, at best. Buff FCAR damage back to somewhere between what it was originally and is now, reduce its mag size back to 20 and give it a reasonable recoil pattern. I don't know the DPS and DPM numbers but meet somewhere in the middle on both.
Faster strafing speeds for medium would be very nice too.

Charge time for the stun gun. An element of charging the stun gun would balance it a bit more. IMO, I feel that the longer you charge the stun gun the longer the stun (Max of 3 secs) it would allow for more thought to be put into when it's used. Diving with the stun gun feels a bit cheap without some sort of thought or work put in.
In the end, this is just my opinion though, not definitive on how to change the game

I played also high Level D1 every season and its clearly a difference. Also every top player like balise/commit is sayin this on stream and everyone of them wants the wipe penalty back as it is literally now like casual cashout. The combination of 500/kill + no wipe penalty is an absolute third party booster and a stupid change in combination. Imo all changes are okay, except of no team wipe penalty.

- Game is very heavy demanding, even on mid-end pcs. Please try to better optimize it and consider adding a super-low graphic setting to be able to have more fps. Also, Kyoto map is soooooo heavy that it is quite unplayable.
- Cashout: instead of giving 30% cash on start and 70% on end, consider giving cash over time, so the team is actually rewarded for being able to hold the cashout.

for a game event: maybe for the 3rd vault there is only one cashout as a gameshow event that has fast captures of 1-2 seconds. (or just touch it!) this could cause a bit of chaos. or maybe quick captures is just a random event. you could call it "feeding frenzy" and have bank-it style quick respawns until over. same cashout rules with $$ awarded per steal, may have to remove wipe penalty temporarily for this
in the same vein of time modulation, what about a time grenade where left click speeds up the target and right click slows it. this can be used on enemies, yourself, teammates, and vault/cashout capture timers to allow faster or slower taking. players would run faster or slower depending on the throw for a brief period. breaks aoe on impact like a fire grenade.
I would say they do not stack (ie 2 lights using it on you doesnt double the effect) and maybe modify the timers a second or two or fill at like 120 % / 80% rate (whatever seems balanced, so you can affect a steal in progress). idk thinking about it maybe it could be a heavy util.. idk which class. if you're hit with it a glitch would remove the effect. could also be a dart / mini crossbow

Sledge hammer with winch is op. If you winch someone, you almost always kill them because 115 damage + 1 rpg one shots lights and mediums, and you usually have time to even do the secondary on a medium. The only thing that can counter is besides stun gun is another heavy with winch

Big big big feedback that if it isnāt fixed will kill off all content creators for your game. Make it software friendly, aka, please add a system in which old matches can be reviewed or recorded, a match history page, and downloadable game videos. And if god shines light upon us, please make the private match/custom match more available to options, such as not turning in some specific events, or only having some events happening, or always having one or two events at the same time. Would be cool for some content creation for destruction, and community fun. As well as a private matches or custom matches lobby list with people who just wanna join a non public match and wanna join a discord to talk smack and have fun. The game is very competitive and by making it very self exclusive the feeling of āIāve wonāt it allā doesnāt hit the same with this game, because there is a lack of reward for being the best. Also maybe a small podium before the match begins showing players with the top 3 highest stars in the game and showing stats about weaknesses and strengths, of course these stats would be too hard to measure and wonāt be accurate but something like that as bad as it is ā¦it needs to be in the game asap, really a disappointment that it hasnāt been in the game yet or had some sort of development. This is a 250+ hour player venting. I love the game and see myself playing it in the close future, but the reasons to keep playing are dying off one by one.

Mines overall need to be either nerfed or removed from the game. They are invisible, lack audio cues, and are hard to detect amid the game's constant noise. Especially problematic are the server-side proximity minesāwhy do we even have them? They should be trap mines at the very least. Additionally, mines are not suitable for a fast-paced game.

Please region-lock mainland China CS2-style, not because of cheaters, but because of their conducts. meta hasnt changed a bit since the launch of season 1, the only difference is nerf of nukes, which was the best finals update to this point. team compositions are still MMHor MHH, weapons used by heavys and mediums are still tha same weapons that were meta in s1 (heavy slightly change, in meta each season 2 out of 3 weapons: lewis, m60, sa1216), gadgets used by mediums and heavys didnt change except for c4 with the nukes nerf. specializations didnt change much, because core of the team are still heal beam and mesh shield. it feels like we have gazilion weapons that are unusable or bad or super situational. and few weapons that are usable just get worse from time to time. right now there are no more weapons in the game that i enjoy paying with. so i decided to finally move on. i wanted to thank developers for unique and unforgettable experience i wish the game the best, but i can no longer enjoy it.
It's official, they wanted guinea pigs (new and casual players) to fill the World Tour queue to test if the cash out changes are any good while keeping the event element behind that garbage mode.
Sadly for them, that's just making people quit the game, like me.

Either nerf the taserās range to basically point blank or make swapping from taser much slower than it is now or nerf the movement penalty or massively reduce its accuracy at range, any single 1 out of the 4 will make it a more balanced or just straight up remove it. Cloak+double barrel+taser makes for zero-repercussion free kill crutch. From S1 to now all I can see is embark is making a free-kill crutch and trying balance it to be more tolerable, which shouldnāt be acceptable because at the end of the day, itās a crutch, a copout. Itās a skill-less gadget setting up the player with nothing to lose at all and everything to gain with, peak imbalanced

I had an idea I thought could be fun for the Finals!
I think it'd be really cool for the next season if we got a "Superhero" style update. Obviously costumes etc, but it'd be really cool if there was a game mode with custom "super powers". Light can have a super jump with a build up to jump (think opposite to hero landing). Medium could have the ability to control weather effects to suit them (fog, heavy rain, sun, snow) for visibility changes or other effects (slow etc). The heavy can have something destructive (they can make themselves explode like a nuke after a timer or something). Only an idea but thought it'd be cool šā¤ļø

More often than I would like when firing a missile it explodes without having anything in its direct path that is visible. And it is only functional when it wants to work. I think that the trigger collider is very large and the slightest thing that touches something ends up exploding, taking away almost all your life. It is a sensation that gives me and it is that it does not compensate as much as it should for a device that takes so long to charge, plus you have to reload it manually once the cooldown is over and shoot it, being lucky that in full debauchery it does not touch the slightest thing with collider

I just filled the survey, but I don't think it covered my thoughts precisely.
Specifically the wipe changes. In our group there's now no longer a push to fight for a wipe since it doesn't harm the other team. All the questions were from the perspective of your own team, not the potential damage to other teams.
Say we just kill 2 and if the third is hiding then fine, mine the statue, grab the box and go. No reason to fight for 500 while delaying the game when you could make 3k by putting the box in

Could we have the option to select which tracks we want to listen to for things like lobby music, searching, end of round, etc.? I'm not saying the new OSTs are bad or anything like that, but I'd literally pay if I could play the S1 tracks when looking for a game or ending one. Playing them on a different platform is an option, but it's not ideal.

Turn spear spin attack into a hold input. If you hold the button it spins forever, but if your just tap it once you only do one swing. Im too scared to use the alt attack cause it thr enemy just walks away then im stuck in a huge animation.

Please fix matchmaking for ranked TA. Obviously queue times are awful, averaging at 4 minutes for me, despite being NA and Plat 2. The biggest problem that ive been having though is the team balancing. I understand that when you go on a winning streak, you'll play against better teams, but winning two games in a row against teams that are well 50k+ RS below your team, shouldn't put me into a game against a team that's 150k more RS than mine. The jump is just too much. worst off is that it doesnt matter whether im solo queueing or stacking, it still happens. I just wish that the teams were more balanced on these winstreaks, and that isntead of it going from a -50k RS difference straight to a +150k RS difference, it were properly smoothed out. Admittedly, this could be due to just how dead ranked is, and the matchmaking is just grasping at straws to form teams, but considering how its pretty much every single time i go on a win streak, I doubt it. All in all, just make TA better :) Also i understand obviously that i dont lose anything for losing against that +150k RS team, but even if i dont lose any RS, it still sucks to lose. And losing 14 RS is still 14 RS either way

i find myself feeling less like im losing fights due to skill, and more like im losing fights due to balancing issues. the combination of good dps + infinite ammo on throwing knives, with the mobility provided by dash, makes it miserable to play against as a medium. I feel like I have to play different weapons and utility to counter lights compared to what I would normally play, just to have a chance at winning. and while light should have areas where they excel compared to the other classes, many of their weapons are top of their class at ranges or engagements where they shouldn't be that effective, like the xp54 at longer ranges or the lh1 at point blank

After this game, I played against a team that was only 1k RS above mine, but we lost, so now on a 2 game losing streak, you would imagine that I'd go against a team that has lower RS than mine, right? nope. I go against a team that has 170k RS more than mine. No ranked matchmaking should ever do this, especially since despite losing this game, unsurprisingly, i actually ended up gaining RS from it. I gained RS from losing a game. As if its like "yeah, we put you in a game that you had a 99% chance of losing, but ay, lets just give you some RS despite it." I dont understand what algorithm Embark has for ranked TA, but it needs to be changed/fixed.

Let me know what you guys think about this. I think one of the reason tons of people have left this game is just because of the game mode itself. Tournament cashout has had issues since the beta. Although the patch last week improved things a bit, I donāt think itās enough. How many games have you played where you start a cashout and end up sitting there doing nothing for the entirety of the 2 minute cashout? And how many times have you pushed a cashout and wiped the other squad then immediately got 3rd partied and lost that cashout? I think having 2 separate cashouts is a flaw in itself. I think that the tournament cashout should just have 1 cashout and 3 teams like quick cash. Then embark can determine whether they want it to be exactly like quick cash, or still implement the 30% cash gains on starting, and 500 dollars per kill and stuff like that. I think 3 teams all fighting over one cashout adds a lot more team play and strategy than the current state. The only the winners move on to the next round and say you can do either a 2 or 3 round tournament in this format. Thoughts?

You must to be in low sbmm lobbies. Dagger is really strong against bad players. Terrible against competent, aware players. Trust, I have like 400 hours on dagger, Im friends with all the best dagger players including Diamond Ranked guys, we all say the same thing.
And @untold willow , I've thought about that too, but the thing is, if you buff dash then other weapons get waaaaay stronger than they should. Dagger's problem is just that it's trash, has no range (even less after the dash nerf) and you can't buff it indirectly without making the rest of light class builds way too strong, the only solution I see is buffing it directly.
Buffs that could help are making light get backstabbed from any angle, not just the back, and making heavies insta back stab. Heavies are some of the hardest to dashstab since their hit box is so big you get stuck on them while trying to get behind so not getting rewarded for that is kinda wild especially if the counter is literally rubbing 2 slabs of metal together and defibing their asses right back up.
But really any buff would be appreciated I'm not picky. Just gime soooomething šµāš«

the place where akm and fcar were just before 3.0 was just right bc both had their use case, akm for lobbies/final round with shield heavies and fcar otherwise
LMGs have uhhh no use case right now, if you're not running SA (or even hammer/flamethrower) you're throwing 
I personally think LMGs are still good but have been dialed back from a state of āhold down fire to win why pick any other heavy weaponā. I donāt think itās that LMGs have no use case they just donāt have much that synergies with them. Like old barricade would still make any LMG now a top tier pick. Winch doesnāt really compliment LMGs as well and is kind of a counter to them, which is why they feel rough to play this season. I still think Lewisās burst fire is very strong and heavies best longer range option and the sustain of the M60 is unmatched, I honestly think the LMGs are in a okay spot but just need a gadget or spec that compliments them

I dont think saying "chill out on updates" followed by "change the meta twice a month" Is the right idea, but spicing up the meta is a good idea. It would be nice if the devs talked to us more (and thankfully, they at least seem to be trying on that venue a bit more recently) because waiting months to hear about active issues is getting old.
You also make a really compelling point, the games meta is balanced around, and damn near held back, by light, and some design changes should be made on that front. The bitch is satisfying both parties which, based on how the assassin discourse is in any game where assassins are present, is hard. Either the assassin doesnt get to have fun, or no one does. Im not sure if a happy middleground exists but youre absolutely right that the game is limited by how hard Embark is trying to make light function.

Fcar is honestly just a skill issue, if ur so worried about the recoil of the guns, that tells me you should be able to adapt to different recoils, and u complaining about fcars recoil tells me u canāt.
How are we supposed to have discussions with meaningful feedback? It's hard to tell what Embark pays attention to. Why not switch an existing channel to 1 of the forum style channels or make a new one? This will allow players to view things more asynchronously as well as allow players to see conversations (threads) that are generally more popular
It is one of the things we are planning to do soon and we've discussed extensively the benefits of the forum-like structure vs normal conversation channel

Light doesn't have the highest ammo count in the game, heavy does.
Light needs to flank on equal skill levels, you can't walk up to someone and shoot them, you lose because light's TTK is higher than other classes' TTK on Light. So trying to 1v1 head on will always result in the light losing. Also on higher levels, people stay together so light can't really be reckless considering their HP.
Sword, at least the lunge which is the only thing sword players use; Has no aim assist, and the majority of players turn it off to begin with because it is so bad. Sledge vs Sword matchups are all down to skill. Heavy has multiple attempts to predict or bait the light, and one mistake from the light is GGs. And that's completely fair matchup in my eyes.
I don't understand some of the complaints like light has destructible gadgets and medium doesn't. Light needs these to flank, it's the class's identity. Medium are support and usually stay with the team or specifically the heavy so they don't usually destroy much. But if you really wanna destroy stuff on your own without canisters, explosive mines do the trick fairly easily and can also one tap people.
Light can't make many mistakes, that would go to heavy with his massive health pool. You can push an entire team, rpg and do whatever, then pop your mesh, dome or charge out of LOS and hide till you regen and go back again, even though this is an awful idea because Heavy shouldn't really be pushing alone without his team.
No light is not killing the game. The game has been on a steady decline aka "dying" since release and It's only now that people complain that light is the reason the game is dying despite it losing players since day 1?
it's only now that there has been an influx in light players in casual with the removal of ranked so you see a lot of the sweaty players on WT dominate. Let alone that light is already great against unaware, uncoordinated and separated players, which to say the least is the entire casual playerbase of people brainlessly running around without their team in a team based game thinking it's CoD just to get punished and then complain they can't always win when light gets the jump on them.
I will say after all this that yes... Throwing Knives needs some work, they are simply too forgiving for high burst, infinite ammo weapon just one tapping people in close range like it's hitscan. It's not the best, it's just braindead.
I will say, if discussions are allowed, can we crank the slowmode back? Keep emotes off people only use those to bully people, but half an hour to follow up a point is brutal

I wanted to provide proper feedback to your recent changes to the Cashout gamemode, which unfortunately isnāt really possible through your Google feedback form:
Overall the changes were a mixed bag. To summarize, best change is what now rewards a more active gameplay: Both starting cash boxes and activating cashouts were often lackluster or boring, with little reward and gameplay that felt more like a chore than a fun mechanic. Now, there is a higher cash bonus for these tasks, and, more importantly, hunting players that were protecting a cash box had become much more lucrative! Previously, there wasnāt much of an incentive to battle teams without a cashout, as there was too little reward and loosing the encounter may have resulted in a huge loss (-30%).
Unfortunately, these changes have been too successful and somewhat reversed the previous situation somewhat: While kills are more worthwhile, there is no penalty besides a timeout when getting wiped. Worse still, cashing out became less important due to the higher kill rewards, however only mostly in the early rounds with smaller cash boxes. Also, getting equal scores with other teams has become a common occurrence, with one of them still getting disqualified unfairly.
It is nice to see experimentation of the game modes and improvement attempts, but I kind of dislike the way these changes are being directly implemented in the already previously good game mode, instead of being tested in a separate game mode to collect feedback and iterate on. Similar to how Overwatch experimented with game modes and ideas.
So, overall, after playing quite a few matches of cashout, it feels worse than what I was already used to. There are good ideas in there, just too unbalanced to feel right.

I think there needs to be a more manageable method of submitting feedback like @somber snow already pointed out. Since your working with AI anyway. How about a Chatbot you can submit your feedback to, it will ask-questions to ensure it has all info needed. and if not existent create a forum entry regarding that topic. The Once Human discord has a pretty nice system where you write to the bot he creates a forum post where then up votes and down votes can be added. Also the discussion for each topic is automatically divided into threads this way & centered around the topic. So you would still be able to see discussions and such.
To me and all my friends who play, the removal of the penalties destroyed to whole game. You can run around Triple light and just steal all cubes and put them in. You will end up in the FINAL 100% of the time because you get enough to stay in the game and no one can ever take it away no mater what they do. Its like 10x simpler now. All the "futuristic" new mechanics that finals had in it wen't away. There is no need for team play or thinking anymore, as long as you get the cube in you can just run splitted like monkeys without even the slightest of punishment.
I think this mechanic was a heart part of the game. And i never saw one complaining about it, im kinda shocked it was removed in the first place.
so basically i would like to bag you. ADD IT BACK. You should try to not listen to 2IQ monkeys frustrated because they cannot do math and run in without thinking. As it is now. The AIM NO BRAIN play style is all you need. Not even that. You can come until final with 0 kills just by stealing cubes. Its fr a joke to me.
you can only adapt so much to a bad gun, the recoil pattern is a much larger liability than akm's lack of sight attachment atm 
granted the gap between fcar and akm is much less pronounced than between LMGs vs SA, you can still use it and find success, but there's just no reason to use it over akm now bc of the recoil
also, top players aren't running around with the LMGs anymore and FCAR usage has dipped among them, wonder why

Dash and invisibility plus high damaging and high ammo count weapons allow him to be very frugal. He can miss with his aim and still recover.

I of course can't prove Light is killing the game but I do have over 2 dozen witness testimony saying they are never coming back because of him. Of course that's a small control group.

I am the biggest heavy hater and haven't played much of S3 bc the rank change to TA, but I can only imagine how shitty light feels to play into when they can escape so easily. Light is very good against bad players hence why they win face to face at times. It has always been a pub stomper and is now more than ever with so many casuals after the removal of ranked cashout.
There's no dash aim assist, sword doesn't have aim assist on the lunge (m2), and dagger is only hurt by aim assist.
Same applies to other classes such as heavy with 47 bullets in his lewis and only 7 shots kill light and 40 to spare. M60 killing in 8 shots with 62 to spare. AK kills light with 8 shots and 28 to spare. On the other hand Light's XP which is like the benchmark for light's guns (except range), kills medium in 14 shots with 16 to spare - half the mag basically, and 20 shots to kill Heavy with only 10 to spare. So no, missing with light is very punishing. Ill attach the sheet for you to check and decide for yourself.

Light still dies very quickly by a ton of stuff only held back by chance that light is full hp and didn't hit once, such as mines, rpg, charge is just one shot with the slam follow up, winch + anything, model meat shots even light itself with the db, blah blah you get what i mean. It's still a fragile class that dies in mere milliseconds. Nothing has changed with light and heavy interactions, if anything they're more in the heavy's favor because winch is a thing now.
1a. Its true that they are also lethal face to face, but on an equal skill level the light will always lose.

Dagger, nor Sword is really an issue. They have 0 range and have to close the gap with the lowest amount of HP. Not to mention the large amount of melee counters in the game, and especially counters to dagger (such as a singular wall).

Not all of them are useful. Compared to Medium, Light has less useful gadgets. (Smoke nades, tracking dart, thermal vision). Light often has weaker gadgets overall compared to medium.

I have also thought as to how I would rebalance the cashout gamemode:
- 300$ per kill
- 20% penalty for getting team wiped
- 1500$ for activating a cash box
- Nothing for starting a cashout
- 50% of cash box for cashing out
- 50% of the cash box is being payed out slowly during the cashouts lifetime
- Cashout is PAUSED (both time and money) while it is being captured with a 2s resume delay upon disruption or capture.
Iād like to iterate further on the last two suggestions:
There is little reward to protect a cashout and a risky undertaking. If teams āteam upā, the team protecting the cashout is often the one getting the short straw, while gaining basically nothing while risking their virtual lifes. With this trickling payout, it is constantly being rewarded for protecting the box, even when they failed protecting it till the end. And with a large 50% cashout at the end, it is still worth it to attack a cashout that is nearing the end of its life.
The other important change is pausing a cashout during capture, making it possible to still steal the cashout at the very end, as long as it is started and not interrupted. This is not a bomb defusal, after all. To prevent exploiting the delay behavior after a disruption or capture, the 2s delay-buffer is being depleted and only gets refilled slowly while the cashout is active and paying out again. This makes indefinite delays and trolling at the end of the match not much of an issue.
Also, with changes like these, the final round of cashout required much less of a rule change to work.
the medium class has become very monotonous with a nearly standard loadout for everyone: healbeam + defib + zipline + jumppad. On the other hand, I think the light class, although it has received some good improvements recently, is still not sufficiently valued in "ranked" games. Proposal: Remove zipline and jumppad from the medium and give them to the light, making the light a class that helps speed up team movement, making it indispensable in a team. The medium could instead be given the gateway or some other gadget.

I think that mainly burns down to some items being too strong though
Defib is run by almost all mediums because it can turn fights from a 3v3 into 3v4-3v6
Healbeam works really well with this, since it removes one of the few "drawbacks" defib has
(If you ask me, only getting 50% of your health back is not really a downside, since thats still a lot better than not being revived at all)
Light suffers in ranked for similar reasons
Everyone wants to win, so only the strongest items are used
(In defibs case this is made even worse since everyone stays really close together)
Another item i think is too strong is rpg, it just shuts down any engagement attempt of a light and is one of the few things that can somewhat easily counteract defib
At the same time, if a light manages to get a kill, defib immidiatly removes and reward again
The meta has pretty much always been MMH or HHM because people want to flatten everyone else with instant damage, or try their best to avoid wiping to said strat by stacking instant revives+heals
And light suffers under it
If defib and rpg were nerfed, we would not only see more viable loadouts, but also see lights more in ranked
If we just move these gadgets to light medium would become a lot less interesting and it may not even help light become viable

Aren't lights and heavies currently dominating ranks just bc heal beam and defib are gone? The game really has turned into a burst fest in TA. I said it before during last season, you shouldn't be able to climb ranks bc you're playing mercy med (a lot of ppl got mad at me over that), it's so insane it's a viable play style. RPG is also such an issue, a class that can't be easily bursted down, having a very consistent burst tool (and now winch) is overtuned. The amount of fights I win in straight 1v1s against heavies is crazy if their RPG is on cooldown, but having 99% of fights start with me taking 140 dmg feels awful

Some more critiques/suggestions/bugs that are not part of the recent changes:
- Fix the enemy team colors. They are all red and often really difficult to tell apart and Iām not even color blind. Since there are mostly only 3 or less enemies teams, just pick 3 colors that can be differentiated easily.
- Lower round start time for terminal attack even further. Nobody has to buy weapons and preparation for defenders is quick anyway. Plus, the attacking team has to traverse through the entire map first anyway.
- Requeuing right after finishing a match often results in one of the teammates canceling the queue. This is weird, since there is no option to cancel the lobby leaders queue...
- Bridges, elevators and cranes sometimes desync, displaying a wrong state
- Make loadouts renameable.
- Make L/M/H visible in scoreboard even when that person is dead. There is plenty of space.

Defib and healbeam (that normally make medium overtuned) are gone, so they cant outcompete rpg and are run way less
Lights hit and run nature just happens to be better and more impactful in TA, resulting in them being able to outpressure the single use rpg (a lot of the time)
I donāt understand the criticism of the previous cash out system. The new update turned the game into such an aggressive and mindless shooter because you donāt have to defend anything anymore. Before this, the objective actually had a point, now itās just Bank It with smaller sums.
Why does Power Shift try to backfill when the game is seconds from being over. I joined a match where of the 4 people on my team, only 1 had done anything. The other 2 and myself were added as the match ended.
Edit: Next match joined was also in progress and my team was being farmed about 5% from their finish line

1a. on an equal skill level but also where the fight is. on an open plain a medium or heavy will probably beat a light but when someone is running through one of the towns or in a room etc. and a light jumps out a window behind you and attacks you're going to die. a light who knows what they're doing and flanks you is going to kill you and probably get away with it with a dash or grapple.

Because of light's high mobility and gadgets it is very easy for a light to close the distance when using melee, and the sword lunge hurts. it comes down to the situation you're in and sometimes a melee just runs in and dies, but a sword or dagger dashing around in your face is hard to kill.

If you dont run it you can forget combat and if you do run it you need to waste a slot for it and never use it for its interesting destruction options

At the same time, being slammed with 140 damage at the beginning of any engagements sucks, and can still feel bad to use since you know you are cheesing it (but only because you often have to)
I feel like people tend to overvalue the defib, because on paper it has a huge impact, you bring back a teammate without having to sit in a place for the time of the revive, but you still need to use it properly for it to be even effective.
You have to revive people with it out of line of site, because they are just such an easy kill if you don't that you basically lost a gadget slot. You need to leave a fight, pick up the figure and put it somewhere else.
Sure it is like 175 hp but how effective is it really if the teammate is gone before they can fire off more than 5 shots. Especially compared to 150 from a frag or 140 from a mine that you can slot in defibs place. And that is talking about hitting singular people. I had a lot of moments where just picked up my teammates statue and revived him behind my mines, which gave a kill at the same time as I ressed them.
Situation changes drastically if you have a full premade, but even than I can see the overrelience on defibs can just lead to giving the team you are fighting 1,5k more points.
The best way to nerf defb would probably be to decrease the time of manual ressing. Defib will still pretty much always be better, because you can do other stuff while the teammate is getting revived.
1a. Of course a light will excel when they flank you or go for targets at low health. That's how the class is intended to play. But that leaves them vulnerable in the majority of scenarios in which you can't ambush or fight a low hp target.

The downside of not having range is already large enough. Sword and Dagger are both weaker options than just using guns and while they do excel up close (mainly sword, pls buff dagger) they ought to, since they're melee weapons. Its still possible to kill them in your face, just harder. They are fine in all regards.

They're still bad, you could give them to medium and nothing would really change. Light has a higher quantity of gadgets, Medium has a higher quality of gadgets.

The class with the most issues like this is heavy. Light has a high damage low hp tradeoff. Heavy has "unfair" gadgets and specs such as rpg, winch and c&s. This gives them high damage and high hp, so easy to get kills and hard to get killed. Light get countered with good skill. Heavy is extremely forgiving compared to the other classes.

Only LH1 and Sniper have "no" damage falloff (80-100m). Unfair is very varied, but in my option the most unfair things in the game right now are heavy's absurdly strong options.

debuff the throwing knives: whatever embark was doing a few updates ago with throwing knives is not it, i think that what they did to the throwing knives makes it actually too low skill. im aware its not hit scan like most of the weapons in this game, but people who use this typically it seems have been playing since that update and now are somewhat decent. it kills medium and heavy way too fast, and even light in some cases where other weapons that can typically outmatch most other lights close range and insta kill, or near insta kill like sniper or bow (with a quick melee). other weapons like the smgs on light dont even stand a chance either which really sucks

either remove stun gun or further nerf it: im gonna say it but this weapon is actually a crutch. if you use stun gun, it takes no skill and creates cheap, easy kills. pair this with throwing knives and cloak and you've got yourself one of the most unfun builds to play against. this needs to seriously be addressed. a suggestion, and quite a weird one, is actually make it like the glitch grenade but maybe with some tweaks as then it would make more sense to use glitch grenade, although it would mean you can use it close range without it affecting yourself unlike glitch grenade. the reason this is so unfair and unfun to play against is that it kills all movement and makes you unable to escape. maybe another suggestion would be to decrease the range. plus, another reason this sucks is the fact that at least for me, the sound profile for this is very muffled and the buzzing sound effect actually makes it very difficult to know where you were stunned from. i know this because i dont typically have this problem when i get shot or are hearing footsteps.

I promise you no one knows who you are lol stop acting like ur a god tier player.... a light 10 yards away with an invisible bomb, 3 DASHES and a 2 HIT SWORD is unstoppable, not even gonna mention the TTK on the "mp5" there's a reason why teams in the tournament aren't even using heavies and run 3 lights, I just played 3 tournaments, 1 tournament had 6 lights between 3 teams lol they have way to much equipment at their exposure at one time.
I kindly request that keyboard and mouse support be implemented for Xbox. Having recently transitioned to playing on Xbox, I discovered that the game does not currently support keyboard and mouse inputs. This limitation is quite disappointing, as I have consistently used keyboard and mouse for this game and have not utilized a controller. My performance with a controller, particularly in first-person shooters such as THE FINALS, has been less than satisfactory. This would make me play this game more often and my friends that also have an Xbox.
I would greatly appreciate it if this feature could be included in the next patch update.

My Homie unlocked the Olympics Spear skin, it is mid, not worth grinding World Tour, if you want to maintain your sanity, avoid that mode.
- Fix Bow hitreg so my arrows arenāt duds at close range
- Give FCAR an identity again, lower its fire rate and up its damage so its a proper DMR and not an AKM sidegrade
- Fix Revolver hitreg so my shots arenāt phasing through people.
- Give M60 a purpose. Either tighten its hipfire and up its firerate so it can be used at close ranges effectively or increase its minimum damage so you can actually hurt people past 30.
- Give Lewis its old recoil back. Not S2 recoil, S1 recoil. Itās damage is comparable to mediums guns, itās recoil should be to.
- Fix KS23 hitreg so we arenāt firing blanks half the time
- Increase MGL splash radius and/or make grenades detonate on enemy impact so the gun doesnāt demand a physics degree to be D-tier on its best days
- Fix Flamer hitreg and give it something it does better than the SA12. Range, damage, better afterburn, something Iām begging here.
Also Day 131 of me begging the devs to give heavy an M134 Minigun as a Specialization.
- 200 Round magazine, ammo is restored four bullets every second, 50 seconds for a full reload.
- 20 rounds per second, eleven damage a round, 220 DPS. No headshot modifier to keep DPS from becoming insane.
- Falloff begins at 30 meters down to six damage a shot at 50, but wide spread means the weapon becomes less effective past 10 meters even against larger targets, youāre probably not getting higher than 150 DPS even as far as 10 meters.
- bullets do high damage to structures (should be breaking walls in 20-50 shots) allowing a mid-range option to output mass destruction (destroying entire walls on higher floors of buildings, ripping apart nesting sightlines)

Hello Mr and Miss Embark Devs, Do you think it would be possible to add a 'Play OF The Game' type cam at the end of the round or perhaps a game? like Overwatch. Obviously depends how you would do it but my suggestion would be based of the amount of combat score and/or objective score gained within a time frame of 15-20 seconds. It would show the player doing his intro and then the clip. I just think this will add a little bit more showmanship in the game and would let players actually share these clips a bit easier. Would allow for the community to share a bit more. Maybe even a community rating system on it (similar to how you show off clips on youtube) but its instead accessed within the game and players are able to give reactions etc.
Don't make FPS games if you cant combat the rampant cheating situation. 4 of 5 enemies are cheating and I see them online every week clearly unbanned.

My graphics settings do not save at all, they randomly all switch back to epic or high after I put them on low settings. This happens sometimes after matches, or if I close the game and reopen my graphical settings are back on epic and I wonder why I'm lagging. Is there a permanent fix to this?

When are you going to do something about the premades? Why play the solo queue against premades that are highly coordinated in discord call.
The matchmaking should work that if you play solo you should be matched against people who are not premade and vice versa. Otherwise, the only thing it ends up resulting in is unfair matches with teammates who can't or won't communicate against highly communicated and coordinated teams. It's normal that people don't want to play solo queue.

UE 5.4 brings more optimizations which make the performance better and that should improve the general game experience for people in combination with the updated better upscalers. Also, add DirectStorage api to improve loading, there are times where all players are stuck to a loading screen for the match due to singular users with slower machines, and DiSto can eliminate/lower that.
fix the visibility and outline logic. in certain situations such as when inside a building with low light looking out to an area with lots of sunlight, the overexposure makes it impossible to see and any enemy in that light becomes impossible to hit, in addition to the fact that no outline is given to them. Also, when under cover, outlines are given to you when you cannot see the enemy, leading to an easy kill for them

Ive been trying out terminal attack it's fun but snipers ruin it I don't think they have a place in the game mode it's unfair almost no other gun can touch them and when you do manage to hit them once theyll just grapple away across the map and hit your team to half health before you even reach the terminal

Turn spear spin attack into a hold input. If you hold the button it spins forever, but if your just tap it once you only do one swing. Im too scared to use the alt attack cause it thr enemy just walks away then im stuck in a huge animation.
Add practice arena to private matches & add a mode that ahs no objective & just lets you mess around in the map, & you can change your class and gear in the pause menu on the fly
Flamethrower is 25 damage per hit and like 20 burn total (or 4 stacks of burn) but while your burning damage is increased, so you take 30 damage per hit instead of 25 plus 4 stacks of burn every hit, which resets with every hit. Getting hit 3 times means you end up taking around 135 damage in total
3v3 cashout please for the love of god. This third party nonsense is aids. its no better or worse than before but its still just not fun and not competitively viable.

haaaaaaaa. just out of a powershift game and it wasnt it.
While malding a little, the Discord call of a few friends came to a unanimous conclusion that I feel matches what I hear very consistently from everyone I know who still plays this game. That is:
"This game was so much better before, why can't we go back to ___"
You fill in the blank... I agree with the sentiment. Still think my favorite time in this game was my hours in open beta. I played CA1 and missed CA2, then got the opportunity to revisit my absolute favorite game in OB. Everything was so fresh, guns felt great, sure the V9s was really oppressive, but everything else felt so... GOOD. Weapons felt really balanced, performance was fantastic (144fps D: in my dreams) movment wasn't sluggish like I remembered, this was THE GAME OF OUR TIME.... but then things changed. I can't put my finger on it. Sure, we discovered the meta and the honeymoon phase wore off, but I don't think that's all of it.
I think there are 2 big core problems that if fixed could really bring this game back.
1, There is a meta formed and it is really boring, stale, and unfun. I'm sorry, there are only 5 weapons that everyone runs. Lewis, fcar, AK, xp, and now Bow. In a game that has so many diverse unique weapons, that is a CRIME. buff up the less used, specialized weapons so we can get some more diversity!
2, There are so many ways to die in this game that are NOT FUN. Ya know what makes me want to rage and complain the most? Dieing to 2 stacked mines as a dagger light. Or getting 90% of my HP taken by a TURRET WITH PERFECT TRACKING. or worst of all getting Tazed from an INVIS LIGHT.
Dieing should be fun too, and it can be, but there are so many cheeky unrewarding ways to die in this game that really ruin the fun and distract from all the great things about the game. That's all done yapping. Hope this is seen and acted upon because I really think this is the core issue.

Can there be the ability to shuffle the teams in a private match without having someone leave or te make a lobby. I have foud this to be very annoying when I am playing with small groups of people with it taking longer to load in and the teams are more easy to have fun with changing them often. So that is why adding a shuffle button fir the team would be nice to make the experience alot more smoot.

yeah i really don't feel like people are giving no team wipe penalty enough time. After a few dozen games i genuinely enjoy not having to hide to win and not having to worry about not dying after a cashout. I really don't think team wipe + 30% initial vault plug can work together. Imagine you didn't get the vault in, but you managed to steal and win the cashout, only to die to a team trying to a third/fourth party. Even though you won the cashout, you lost because everything is on cool down and your team is low. You virtually only received 40% of that cashout now. Maybe they'll lower the team wipe %, but i like that you're able to play the game without risking losing now

I would love more 5 stack modes as I usually play this game with a group of friends so having more modes like Quick Cash, Bank It, or even just a regular TDM would be great. Powershift and Terminal Attack are already really good additions, but it would be nice to have another mode to play.

I have enjoyed the finals, unlocked everything so far and put a bit of money into it as a thank you to the devs, but "stop opponents from stealing your cashout or decrypting a terminal 15 times" is a joke.

you don't need to revive someone out of line of sight with defib (and i honestly have never seen anyone do this)
even in the worst of circumstances, in an open field, if a defib goes off, its still a 2v1 you have to face
even if the medium was at half hp when pulling it off (and you are at full hp when the engagement started), you still need to deal 250 damage to eliminate both players
they also need to deal 250 damage to kill you, the only difference?
they have twice your dps
and thats not even accounting for stuff like repositioning your crosshair after the first guy is dead, total ammo capacity, if they run healbeam to surpass this downside, etc.
someone at 175 may be an easy pick, but only if they're alone, which they almost never are
even if they are, if you're in/near a building, there is a good chance they might run
another person you now have to chase
mines and frags can be countered
you can jump away from a frag and you can avoid mines decently often by playing a little more carefully
and even if you are hit, that doesnt mean you WILL die
you can hide and the user has to follow up on it
with defib all you can really do is shoot the guy while he defibs, which rarely gets them before 50%, leaving you in the scenario explained earlier
and to even do that you need to camp the staue
you are forced into waiting around and to use one of the most boring tactics, just so you can make sure defib isn't even stronger than it already is
decreasing the manual revive time would result in us seeing less defibs, sure
but the time is currently pretty well fit to notice the statue is gone, run after it and punish a careless revive

If they bring it back, it better not be more then 10%, but really it shouldn't even be a precentage. $5000 loss for getting wiped would be perfect.

You guys are ruining this game with lame gadgets and poor balancing. Itās often feels punishing to use guns in some engagements. The throwing knives, the bow, the wench itās like this stuff gets out of hand and is so easily abused when combined with gadgets. I really wish this was a shooter game but idek what this is at this point. Map changes can be good for mid season update, maybe changing some areas in some maps can freshen up some of the OG maps and is easier than making completely new maps

Season 3 is a real shit show. They added a bunch of bullshit weapons that fuck up the flow of the game, made some poor adjustments to existing weapons, added one of the most beautiful maps that plays absolutely horrible it was just a disappointment especially for those whoāve been here since Beta. Season 2 was exciting but this was disappointing. Embark always delivers on cosmetics tho they have the best skins and stuff of any shooter no contest.
Winch needs to be reworked or (if you guys can't balance it properly) removed from the game
Melee Heavies were doing totally fine with goo gun or slam in S2 and im saying this as S2 D2 Sledge heavy main
Winch + Sledge is a cancer combo which is very popular among noobs who still can't do shit and barely make 5 kills in a round but ruin normal people experience and make them quit the game
Here's my idea how winch claw should be reworked:
⢠CD increased to 10-15 seconds
⢠Reduce distance from which you can reach the rival with a hook
⢠Increase the distance between the victim and those who use the Winch Claw by the time grapple animation ends
° Lights are the fastest and are dragged almost as close to the Winch user as they are now
° Mediums are dragged close but out of reach Sledge secondary attack
° Heavies are dragged close but out of reach of Sledge primary and secondary attacks
⢠Make it possible for victims to shoot and equip/prepare (but not use) gadgets during hook animation
⢠Fix winch dragging players through obstacles
You might also give this reworked winch to mediums as they lack distance-breaking Specialization for melee setups
Optimization : I suggest updating the game engine to 5.4 in a future patch, as well as updating all available upscaling solutions to newer versions like DLSS to 3.7.0, XeSS to 1.3, and FSR to 3.1 (FSR Frame gen too). UE 5.4 brings more optimizations which make the performance better and that should improve the general game experience for people in combination with the updated better upscalers. Also, add DirectStorage api to improve loading, there are times where all players are stuck to a loading screen for the match due to singular users with slower machines, and DiSto can eliminate/lower that.

Every single weapon type needs a 'reload' (could even be a short delay like 2 seconds) you cant swing a big hammer 24/7 there should be a delay, this also goes for the throwing knife (genji cant throw infinite shurikens constantly, he has a 'reload)

Just a thought, kinda curious how others feel about it but what if we moved stun gun to medium.
Medium struggles with gap closing making riot shield and dual blades pretty awful, thematically i think it works on medium. most of the casual playerbase does not like light because of stun gun and mobility, giving mediums a solution to the lights mobility could be good. It might need the stun duration tweaked or something else about the effect nerfed but i was just thinking about it today.
If this is a bad idea feel free to say it I haven't thought it out fully but it seems like a solution to some of the problems
They should remove this channel, not one piece of feedback has been implemented from this channel since beta, you just ignore the major issues of your game:
- No skill based match making
- Cheaters (Mainly DMA because it bypasses easy anti cheat with ease) Each game I play at least 1 DMA user
- Full premade teams will go against solo queuers (not a fair matchup)
- Accurate audio needs a lot of work
- Terrible balancing
Suggestions:
In-game chat for added friends (i really want to talk with the friends that i meet in game and dont have added to steam, but I can only talk when we are in a party)
Maybe risky suggestion:
Thermal vision for all classes (with lower duration and higher cooldown) and keep the invis unchanged
- higher reload time for sniper and a little more of damage fallof, or make the zoom a little bit blurred
I have been thinking about this recently too, in combination with a lot of gadgets being moved around. Personally, i would be interested in seeing embark test a few gadgets being moved around. Id like to see them flesh out each role with an intended clear purpose. If the only change was to move stun gun to medium a clear downside to that is the frustration of getting on top of a pocket healer. Mediums are the most powerful when they can resource dump into heavys, other mediums, and even lights. They should be a little more vulnerable in that regard considering they have jumppad and zipline as extremely powerful movement abilities.
I think an interesting test would to move jumppad and zipline to light, while light gives back its recon tools (recon nade and tracking) + stun gun and possibly even glitch nade but not sure on that.
There might be some shortcomings to this, the main thing i see right now is mediums would NOT be happy losing movement options. That being said i think its possible moving in this direction would give each roles utility clearer guidelines:
Light would provide strong movement and offensive utility
Medium would provide general purpose and rounded utility (offense and defense)
Heavy would provide strong defensive utility
Sorry for the yap sesh just wanted to share.
Tldr just moving stungun to medium would likely still be pretty frustrating, but could possibly work with other changes

Why is it when I get stuck in a lobby full of plat3+ (and 3 rubys -- im plat4, literally only one guy less elo than me), I absolutely smoke everyone in terms of stats (18 kills and second in support -- all the ruby players had 5 kills), we win 7-1, yet I only get +500? Like... cmon. I've been trying to avoid cheating the elo system by farming and crap but I feel like that's the only way to get past the plat barrier because playing well simply doesn't reward at all. I was 32k this game, everyone on the enemy team was 34-50k yet I still can't rank up because the elo system doesn't actually balance how well I do compared to my teammates
P.S. Did some math: I'd have to repeat this 47 times over to get to the same rank those ruby players are at. That seems ridiculous to me.
P.P.S. I know I, like many others, give a lot of negative feedback and rarely show gratitude for the game. Development is hard, game development even more so. Thanks for all the effort you guys put into adding content to the game. Imho, this game is far better than other games of its class (mostly Apex -- I've played a lot of that) and I appreciate the community that backs it. I hope the game can keep improving and we can keep things fun.

Ladder is the fuckin' stupidest item. Imagine that when you were fighting with enemies, you moved left and right and then you started to climb a ladder suddenly and surprisingly. You got killed by enemies ridiculously.

Medium is designed to support teammates with great utility and healing while also having the weakest weapons of the 3 classes. This is okay because it means that if youāre playing medium well, youāll always be next to a teammate when the possibility of being flanked or targeted is there. You are supposed to lose most 1v1s as medium because you are meant to be taking 2v1s instead. Riot shield and dual blades are both defensive based melee weapons that should be strong at providing defensive utility for you and your team while also having enough attack power to discourage enemies from rushing you, but not strong enough to make a rush down playstyle viable. These both succeed at the second part but the issue is that they donāt provide enough defensive utility. Since they both can be held down indefinitely, it would be cool to see another ability added to both of the melee weapons that focuses on defensive utility. Maybe the riot shield could bash people backwards similar to Brigitte from overwatch, creating a dynamic of choosing between the utility of area control vs the damage of hitting people with the baton.
Kind of rambling but yeah I personally donāt think giving medium 1v1 power is a great idea. Move more power into support tools. And not just healing beam, medium desperately needs more active and engaging support tools, most of it is passive and boring right now

i just find stuff op if it takes over pro scrims, and tournaments, every medium in like scrims/pugs etc uses model, its super rare to see anything else now. model is just so dominant right now in high elo. its not op for casuals but its tricky to balance for both elos

I think CC shouldn't even exist in a fast paced game. Stun gun and winch are seriously some of the most awful additions to this game and serve no purpose but make the victim feel cheated.

Revert the Lewis and M60 changes or reduce its recoil at the very least it's unbearable
The game should also have better optimisation for controller players. Give more button optimisation for controller players for example being able to swap to an item with the double tap or triple of a button or swipe on the middle pad of a controller. And also holding certain buttons do a different function to that of that just pressing it or even giving one function like jumping or shooting to different keybinds so u can choose what u are comfortable with given the situation.
I think the problem with TA is that the current maps are not TA or tactical shooter friendly, secondly, you guys need to consider TTK. TTK in tactical shooters are insta kill headshots or 2, 3 hit body shot.

The Finals devs keep releasing bad update after bad update, their downfall should be studied
This is the crux of where embark struggles with balance. Is the model OP? Definitely not. Very Strong? Absolutely. I think its important to note that the playstyle of medium at the moment is to kick back and heavily support your team (in competitive play). Having a mid-long range rifle isnt really necessary if you are pocketing 1-2 heavies, when the alternative is having a very powerful close ranged weapon to make you an even harder threat to collapse on.
All of this is to say, they better not nerf the model, because i dont think thats where mediums pain points lie. (Very powerful util like med beam and defib on top of very powerful mobility gadgets)

Also, heavies are not the only ones that "play indoors", and I mentioned mines, which are primarily M's responsibility. You can also just be a light and counter as a sniper. That's what I do. XD
I used to be on the "snipers suck and should be banned from TA" train. Then I realized 9/10 of them are brainless at strategy and countering them isn't actually that hard. Now I think they aren't as big of a deal as everyone makes them out to be. I'm pretty decent against sniper as any class now tbh (but again, light is my fav; getting them to ragequit after head-boinking them 5 times in a row is soooo satisfying).
There's a reason they aren't really a problem in the higher ranks.

Hey folks, the more I play this season, the more I've been thinking about ways to improve it and make it fair (especially for Quickplay and World Tour players):
1.Allow us to queue up for multiple Quickplay game modes:
This is something similar to a match composer from Halo, so basically the player would be able to choose what game modes in Quickplay they wanna play and queue up for it. It's annoying that we can only search for 1 game mode at time
2.Allow us to queue up for Ranked/World Tour game modes while playing in a Quickplay match:
This is something that I've seen in a indie game called Due Process, basically, that game allowed you to queue up for a ranked match while playing casual matches, the way it worked was the following: While playing in a casual match or at menu, you could search a ranked match, a pop up would appear showcasing that a match has been found with the number of players who accepted to join the ranked match, you can then choose to either accept to join the ranked match or leave (if you leave, you would stop queuing up for a ranked match), a total of 10 players were needed for the ranked match to begin, and if all 10 players who queue up for a ranked match accepted to join in, then these 10 players would be booted out of their casual match if they were playing one or they would simply join the ranked match if they were waiting at the menu
3.Implement World Tour into every Quickplay game modes:
This one I've been thinking about a lot lately, since World Tour is basically a game mode that reward the player who has a lot of ''Endurance'', wouldn't make sense if all players from Quickplay would also get rewarded for playing the game for a really long time? It just seems odd for me to split the player base into 3 (maybe 4 if you count private matches) categories which is Quickplay, World Tour and Ranked, I feel it would be more just to reward all Quickplay players for their time played as well instead of only World Tour players

I strongly agree. I guess my point was its hard to justify bringing up the power of Meds weapons, when it has some of the most powerful utility across the board. I don't know if you caught it, but its another reason why I think they should experiment giving light jumppad and zipline, while also giving some of the recon util back to medium. Medium is stuck having mediocre weapons is a sympton of the class just having way too much in their abilities. Healing and Defib are arguabley the strongest util in the game, ON TOP of having just as strong of team movement options and higher hp than the light. There is no reason to justify running light in higher level play because why run a mobility class, when another class that provides even stronger util can do the same thing. All of this leads to medium having the weakest gun options because if they had stonger guns, the very very limited reasons to run light now would go to 0.
Again, id like to see how high level lobbys would play if light provided the team with mobility. If you want to stack mediums and heavys, it should come at a cost, IE mobility.

how great is this game with a great anti-cheat system I just lost 1500p to a cheater hitting through shields, this game just deserves to die no matter how badly you devs are working, the name of the cheater in question for anyone who finds it against because he will never be banned anyway because the devs don't work, anyway the name is (AthleticButcher#2680) have a good day.
If you stack mediums, it should come at the cost of damage output. If you want to stack heavies, it should come at the cost of range and mobility. If you want to stack lights, it should come at the cost of defensive power and sustain.
- Fix Bow hitreg so my arrows arenāt duds at close range
- Give FCAR an identity again, lower its fire rate and up its damage so its a proper DMR and not an AKM sidegrade
- Fix Revolver hitreg so my shots arenāt phasing through people.
- Give M60 a purpose. Either tighten its hipfire and up its firerate so it can be used at close ranges effectively or increase its minimum damage so you can actually hurt people past 30.
- Give Lewis its old recoil back. Not S2 recoil, S1 recoil. Itās damage is comparable to mediums guns, itās recoil should be to.
- Fix KS23 hitreg so we arenāt firing blanks half the time
- Increase MGL splash radius and/or make grenades detonate on enemy impact so the gun doesnāt demand a physics degree to be D-tier on its best days
- Fix Flamer hitreg and give it something it does better than the SA12. Range, damage, better afterburn, something Iām begging here.
Also Day 132 of me begging the devs to give heavy an M134 Minigun as a Specialization.
- 200 Round magazine, ammo is restored four bullets every second, 50 seconds for a full reload.
- 20 rounds per second, eleven damage a round, 220 DPS. No headshot modifier to keep DPS from becoming insane.
- Falloff begins at 30 meters down to six damage a shot at 50, but wide spread means the weapon becomes less effective past 10 meters even against larger targets, youāre probably not getting higher than 150 DPS even as far as 10 meters.
- bullets do high damage to structures (should be breaking walls in 20-50 shots) allowing a mid-range option to output mass destruction (destroying entire walls on higher floors of buildings, ripping apart nesting sightlines)

Hello devolopers, there this brand new challenge in stage 4 pro circuit (the second to last one) that is really annoying to complete and I didn't even get 1 out of 15 times.
I'd really love if you guys have an info button next to challenges explaining the challenge in further detail.
New cash out rule/idea
- 4v4v4 (same 12 player count per match)
- Single cash out box (just like quick cash)
- 2 max class limit (can have up to 2 of heavy/med/light. ex. 2 heavy/1med/1light, 1 heavy/2med/1light, 1heavy/1med/2light)
- Limit to one specialization to avoid stacking such as 2 medi, 2 stealth, etc
- (Optional) Defib is on team util w/ global CD + 2 max stack. This unlocks one more utility option for med where they are practically 2 util + 1 defib for optimal play.
^ This idea also gives more option and deviates 1heavy/2med/1light for 2x defib vs other 2heavy/light combo

the main issue with stun imo is that its used for kills, rather than to stop an enemy from chasing you.
I think slightly nerfing its cooldown to 23s and forcing you to reload straight away and THEN it goes on cooldown would fix the problem with stun being used for cheap kills.
same could be done with the RPG to prevent RPG + SA12 Spam, just force the Heavy into the RPG reload animation and THEN it starts the cooldown

Fix for both crashes to desktop and overall PC crashing.
Improve the unreliable and buggy parkour system.
Enforce permanent bans for cheaters.
Adjust the respawn system to prevent respawning teams from gaining an unfair advantage.
Display store credits accurately in euro or local currency.
Create more detailed player profiles, complete with match history and stats.
Allow the ability to view other players' steam profiles.
Introduce class and loadout-specific keybindings.
Add a default skin setting in the equipment menu.
Improve visibility of stats/numbers on weapons and gadgets.
Undertake comprehensive balancing improvements.
Despite understanding that the game was released in an early alpha stage and remains so, it's crucial to prioritize these basic game improvements over the introduction of new content.

People who want low grav gone need to learn to jump less. The game is punishing you for your bad habits, learn from it instead of screaming for it to go away. Enough stuff has been removed from the game because āI donāt like itā and low grav is hardly even the worst offender.

What if heal beam overheated extremely fast if the person who you are healing gets shot. This means that its good for topping up way faster and getting back into the fight faster, but discourages just pocketing during engagements/firefights

Heal beam is at its worst when thereās 2 stacked on one player making them legitimately unstoppable. This is easily fixed by capping heal rate to that of 1 gun, negating the need for two healers.
Medium is the last class needing nerfs right now, itās the only one even close to being balanced. If anything the class is underpowered right now, at least from an offensive perspective. If you want a lower heal gun pick rate then give medium another specialization worth using. Turret is easily negated by skilled players, and Demat is situationally good at best and in desperate need of a buff.

The Final(-round) in Cashout, is the most boring game mode ever, pretty much a running simulator. How can a game called The Finals, have the Final being so goddamn boring?

Impulse grenade for light that knocks back players, like shockwave grenades from fortnite
Anti healing grenade/dart that makes enemies take more damage for light
Stim that increases movespeed and Heals 50 hp which can overheal for light
Healing pylon spec for medium
Sticky bomb launcher weapon for heavy like tf2's
Heat seeking flamethrower drone specfor heavy (seeks out nearest enemy withing x radius and starts flamethrowering them)
Air strike spec for heavy
Winch rework to make it cooler;
Instead of grabbing people it would hook on to surfaces like grapple but it wouldn't pull you so you would have to walk up a wall and could stay at one point and look around(like on a ladder)but while being abe to use weapon(kinda like scaling a building in rainbow six siege but with no upside down). If a shock wave gadget was added the heavys could use this to hook themselves to the floor so that there not affected by that. Maybe you could also make heavys attach the wench to ceilings and pull themselves up(not allowing the use of weapons while pulling up). Just an idea though.

- canāt use guns/gadgets/specialisation or all of them at once is so much more frequent now, 6/10 games I play itās always there if not in the first round then itās sure to be present in 2/3rd round
- didnāt have the loading screen bug until one patch where it was mentioned that it was fixed and since then i started getting it too tho itās not very frequent
- charge and slamming sometimes gets u stuck in the slam animation while the debris just wonāt get destroyed and have to wait so long for it to release me, dk if itās a bug or intended but it feels like the former
- server issues all the time, I have never played without the ping and packet loss indicator not on my screen (playing on asian servers living in india) have confirmed itās not my internet fault server gets crappier when more destruction happens in the match
- most importantly reconnecting to a world tour match completely resets your loadout to the one youāve selected on the home screen, if you chose a different class/specss/weapons/gadgets they all get reset to the one in the homescreen essentially letting players even change their class mid match

the lh1 "recoil buff" is legit a nerf to the gun, getting rid of the visual recoil makes it harder to spray because it is kicking upwards with no visual indication, it actually makes it harder to use over season 2 lh1

Got glitched seeing healing beam while weapon equiped
I made my post (Christopher Cover) in a Finals Facebook group because it seems like the guy hates the new changes but I took up the advocate position.
I don't think people fully understand the game mode changes and I think that ruined the opinions people will have on it.
It's not terrible but I think alot of people don't clearly see the vision or something...
If the team wipe penalty came back I wouldn't cry but I think the way things are now are good and can use a bit more exploration.
Another option would be a "Siphon Effect" or a "Direct Deposit" effect where you take a percentage of the enemies team you kill. Upon team wipes the dieing team gets a 15% reduction in their score while the Killing team gets that 15% added to their score (or they get a 15% boost to their current score)
This could widen the gaps in score or even turn the tables for a team at the bottom or middle.
Maybe "Direct Deposit" is another āØFREE IDEA⨠and you use it as a game mode... Idk
Anyways, good changes. I think people need to get use to it a bit more or we need to experiment more before we revert anything.
The team balancing needs some adjustment Jesus Christ. I am gold in WT, why do I keep getting unranked teammates who back out. There needs to be a stronger penalty for people who leave mid game and donāt join back.

A sort of catalog section in the homepage where you can test out/mix and match multiple clothing items at the same time to create an outfit and buy the items needed for it instead of the current mechanic we have now where we can only see how one item looks like at a time.
For example; If you wanted to see how the vaiiya special ops outfit would look like combine with the original special ops outfit and you donāt own either, you can go to the catalog and create an outfit combining both to see what it looks like before actually buying anything.

TL;DR: Create a rep score to prevent frequently leaving games
yall gotta make some sort of punishment or rep score for leaving games so often. I dont think ive played a game in months that didnt have someone leave cause they got butthurt that they died or lost site.
Most games a team will lose a cashout, one will leave, then the rest will leave. I have played many games, often every day, where both teams completely leave the game. Then other people join an empty team and leave too.
I appreciated the lax treatment towards being able to leave a game if something irl came up, but this system is getting way too abused. It is very demotivating and annoying to play a game without a full team, and it is also not very fun to play against teams that are not full.
I understand this really only applies to casual, but it is WAY too common now. There needs to be some sort of reputation score that punishes players for frequently leaving games. Very often it is also the lights that leave the game, and they already lose most of their games so making the game a loss for them is not even close to enough to discourage this problem.
I know damn well that half of these people leaving games are getting mad that they cant 1v6 and win and continually leave games until they get to play against bots. This game is about teamplay, not leaving the game because the enemy team didn't like that you sniped them nonstop.
Nearly every game I join in solo queue is filling someone elses spot. Often I join a game on the losing side, no surprise. This is going to further ruin the casual experience.

Hear me out. I think weapons should be more specialized. My biggest issue with the game right now is the meta is stale and boring. I made a post about this issue yesterday in fact. My suggestion to solve this issue is to make the weapons more specialized to different senareos. Make more distinct subclasses. This would add SO MUCH more diversity to play styles and fights.
Example, Ak and fcar.
Right now? Pretty much functionally the same weapon. Sure there are tiny differences in function, but they both are used in the same way and accel at the same ranges. How about we make each weapon opposites? We make ak mid to close range, and the fcar far range? Change the damage falloffs so Ak damage drops off hard at mid range, and fcar does less damage up close. Boom, now you actually have to use your little monkey brain to strategically pick which weapon that best suits the map/team comp. It also allows for more complex play and outplays which will make fights WAY more interesting.
This same concept can apply to all the weapons. Just give weapons roles to fill! Make weapon choice just as influential as class choice. I canāt even imagine how dynamic and deep the combat would be at every level of play. I feel like the guns are just kinda there because itās a fps and thereās gotta be guns. Oh we need a burst rifle! Add an famas. Thereās not purpose! What role does the famas fill that ak and fcar donāt? Literally nothing! Itās just āa burst rifle because we canā.
Same with the bow and the sniper. REDUNDANT! The reason I love mele weapons so much is BECAUSE they have a very different, unique and, challenging play style.
On a partially but not entirely related note, there should be a FINALS TRIALS gamemode. The mode would be a rotation of bank it, cash out, and powershift, and would be STRICTLY for testing out wild Mets shifts that wouldnāt fly in normal patches. Try stuff like my above suggestions, or anything else! Then gage feedback with polls at the end of matches

It hurts to see the numbers are down. I struggle to see what else can be done to improve the game.
I personally see 1-2 ads per day across Facebook and YouTube.
Maybe marketing to more active/relevant aps would be a good idea? (I don't even have cable anyway)

When I play this game I get a rush. Adrenaline for the clutch moments, dopamine for the successful cashout, thrill for the intense team fights.

What's funny is they see their game is dying, but had weeks of 'updates' that did nothing but change the store rotation. Then had a delayed update to announce emerald rank. 3 weeks later they spent an update to announce they're on vacation š
I get they're trying to improve cashout before releasing emerald, but at this point that is what will bring back a huge chunk of players and it's being held hostage

CB2 and onwards showcased some of the worst thought out balancing in favor of overbotch-esque mechanics. And also their blatant disregard for taking everything into consideration when re-balancing things. Their idea of nerfing "nukes" was to nerf Heavy's c4 gadget into the ground over the course of several changes instead of just making cannister/c4 hitboxes larger. (Cause counterplay is boring I guess? JUST NERF IT LOL)
Complaints about 3rd party BS cropped up when they botched the spawn system (probably rigging it to an MMR based distance shindig) and when Medium had the unnerfed Sonar + Recon, 3rd Party BS had one of the best counterplay solutions to ever exist. Now that they're gone, it ain't a wonder the player count has plummeted.

the ranked change was probably not the greatest bet, but realistcally they cant win, people would complain about their precious ranked mode being altered mid season with no warning. and it was just an experiment, its been made clear its not what we want, so they can tinker with the mode without people crying over the ranked meta changing every 3 weeks
as for bug fixing, a crucial part of fixing the bugs is knowing what causes them and how to recreate them, find them a reliable way to replicate the heal beam bug or long loading screens and we're sorted.

Unhandled Exception: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION Has unfortunately made me quit the game today after 250 hrs of gameplay.
I have reinstalled windows twice, uninstalled and reinstalled every single driver- I have, updated, reinstalled and reupdated nvidia game drivers, i have tinkered with my bios, i have disabled XMP, reinstallled core dlls I have done everything every single forum has said to do to fix "Unhandled Exception: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION and nothing has worked. i have , and I am unfortunately done.
Please at least address this so your community has some hope. Because i have wasted at least 24 hours of my life tryuing to diagnose this issue that has happened with no game aside from the Finals. I love it and I want to stream it, i want to get friends to play it - But I can't play an hour without crashing. Being suspended from TA Ranked for the loading screen hanging was the last straw.
I can see how much love and care you all have put into this game and I want to invest both my money, time and soul into It but I just can't load up to be in the middle of an insane gunfight and it freeze and crash and me have poured hours and hours and have done everything in my power to fix it. It is not my responsibility. It is however my problem because I want to play it so bad ;n;

A twitch event where groups come together in a three day event. Build the hype and get their respective viewers watching and supporting them.
(Spread across 3 days to give viewers more subconscious time thinking about The Finals and they REALLY learn deeper components of the game)
1 official community tournament per season would be lit. Inviting out the top players to play against each other.
-here we start to see the crystalization of companies joining together and get repeat invitations to band back together and play (or by then the company system will already be a thing and invitation get sent out directly to the companies)
But each year we kick it up a few notches and we use the anniversary event as an opportunity to watch some of our favorite content creators play.

Sir, 200k people were playing it because it was hyped up on release in the game awards. This happens with almost every game, player numbers peak at release due to hype and then go down after people stop playing after a bit.
And even though the devs have made some bad decisions in this season so far and even in s2, its been speculated that this is something of a filler season, which Iām fine with as it lets me anticipate better things coming to the game.

Rework Stun Gun as an specialization and give it to Mediums.
It would fix Medium melee weapons as it gives them means to reach the enemies
It'd be fair since it is taking an specialization slot and not a gadget
It will probably need to have adjusted cd, range and effects since it would be an specialization
And would also reduce frustration from players hating Lights for having it as a gadget used for easy kills, they also already took sonars and tracking darts from meds anyway.

Cashout feedback: 20% wipe penalty, 20% cash for plugging the box, 30% trickle, and 50% on cashout. That will create less third parties since there is money to be won during the timer.

If you're Spectating on a dagger players all their backstabs will look as a face stabs due to desync, same to sword, the lunge animation is bugged in spectate mode.
Finals randomly closes sometimes now (not even a crash it just closes)
I say this as someone that hates lights and uses the riot shield full time, but mediums def don't need the stun gun. Lights as a whole should be retooled to have more synergistic abilities, because at the moment the only thing they are 90% of the time are just selfish death matchers. The stun gun is one of the few utilities that can be used for the team while the majority of the others are used exclusively for themselves. That being said I have been running glitch mines full time now to make their get aways much harder. Works fine for indoors, but its still a nightmare when you're out in the open. Medium just overall need to be looked at since a lot of its loadout got gimped in favor of other classes. APS, CL-40, med gun (this is a welcome change though as I hate that this game has the ability to heal).
I've had this idea for a while but I think they should have an event that randomizes loadouts across all classes for a single mode. TF2 did it on some custom servers and you would often get some pretty interesting combinations. Though it would be viewed as super casual on the outside, it would probably give some unexpectedly good feedback on which loadouts could be possibly shifted over to another class. At the very least let them reconsider making smoke nades available to all classes.

Nerf sniper hip fire accuracy
Every class have this stun gadgets like winch claw (you cant move when you got pulled) and stun gun, medium should have Stun Mine or Stun grenade that'll be sick and game breaking as hell
Instead of the completely useless ADS for the flamethrower can you rework it to drop puddles of kerosene? At around the cost of 5 or 6 ammo you can spray out a puddle of flamethrower fuel that acts as a lightable area denial puddle that lasts for around 15-25 seconds, with lit fuel lasting for 5-8 seconds. I will act more like a manually activated pyro mine that will add to the chaos value of the flamethrower. Lit opponents will also activate the puddles and apply full afterburn.

Why spend 3 seasons of a game learning it's ins and outs and getting our heads around the strats and economics and timings and so on and so on to then just have it change suddenly?? Only a little, but enough to make it that you basically have to reprogram your neural pathways to adapt to the changes. Like. Whatever happened to just, this is the game. Learn it. Get good at it. Or don't? The best most long lasting fricken still to this day in rotation games just made a system and people learned and played it. Why are we constantly changing and adapting the game? Just learn it and play it. Do you get on a football field and go, hey you know what all these guys that are good at kicking the ball, hmm they are making it too hard for the guys that aren't. We should put weights on their legs. And while you're at it, the fast guys? Nah they're too fast, it's not fair. They should be made to run a block a couple times before the game to reduce their stamina. No. You don't. You just play the game to your skillset, find a role and go with it. Sure, most sports probably developed their rules over a very long time and that's not really the point. But like, CS, 2 teams, plant bomb, defuse bomb. Simple af, over 25 years old and still massive. It doesn't really change even though it's never been perfect. But players learned the game and adapted to it, then got good or didn't and life carries on. I'm sorry for the rant here, but like just leave it. The Finals was a good game. Cash out tournaments were fine. I don't understand what happened to just like, get good. Or don't? Idk man, I enjoyed the changes and they brought me back into the game. World tour isnāt a ranked game mode even though itās still very competitive. I think itās kinda fun to see their experiments and how it changes peopleās play-styles and my own. They also keep the game interesting and alive along with adding more content without introducing annoying metas with balancing changes. I think you have a valid argument IF this happened during an esports tournament which it didnāt.
melee hitreg has been both changed and gotten progressively worse since patch 2.8. These issues were largely absent on launch of 2.8 but have crept up and gotten worse ever since.
You can see in the skyway hospital clip where I repeatedly hit my opponent while getting coins but no damage

I haven't received the blue i-seul shoes from the pro circuit after completing it, that's the only main issue I've experienced with the pro series.

I'm all for evolution but when do we stop and say this is good enough now let's learn it and run it into the future.. I see what you mean and I agree that there should be one constant for a game mode since no one has time to always re learn all the game mode. The reason I like it so much is because it adheres to the theme of the game and it is also the first season 3 change that I really liked and made an impact in gameplay. The finals is such a unique shooter making it impossible to tell how to make cash out the best it can be. At the end of the day the game is still young and they can always revert changes, Iām just happy that theyāre making changes.
I know this will be an unpopular opinion at first glance, but I genuinely believe that the LH and Sniper need to be moved to Medium and the revolver can be given to the Light.
The primary reasoning I have for this is simple: the fastest class should not also be the longest range class.
Beyond this basic concept, there are other reasons as to why the Sniper and LH1 should not be on the light class:
1: the light shouldn't be required to counter snipe, you gain so much and lose little with the 1 headshot kill in a light vs light sniper duel. It would actually be a better skill expression and a better match up for the sniper to be a medium vs medium, where it takes more than a single headshot.
2: LH1 is what medium players want the revolver to be; while the revolver is what light players want the LH1 to be.
3: sniper should have to compete with other reliable medium-long range weapons, which is more applicable in the medium's loadout.
4: Mediums are slower and easier to hit, which makes counter-sniping easier, and it makes running down a camping sniper much easier as well.
