What the actual fuck. The CL40 was by far the most frustrating thing in the game to play against as any class when not using APS, and then you butchered APS AND THEN you buff the CL40 in every way possible? The damage change did literally nothing to shots required for kill against any class AND does less self damage when everyone has been asking for it to have more self damage. DRUGS ARE FUCKING BAD EMBARK.

I was stoked for this season. You nerfed breach charge damage for literally no reason, barely any one runs it, it's essential to my kit, and now the 1 kill I get every 10 matches with it will now be zero. You're charging money instead of multibucks for the season 3 starter pack and the season pass once again has a tiny fraction of actually interesting items, so I feel like I'm paying for 5 items because I'm never going to use most of it, and ranked is now the worst mode in the game. (which is now affecting the balance in cashout)

• No improvements to hit-registration, meaning sometimes your shots/hit just does nothing

• No fix for crash to desktop
• No fix for PC crashing
• No fix for unable to do any action like using a zipline or attacking
• No fix for the parkour which still is unreliable and buggy
• Still not banning cheaters permanently
• No fix for the respawn system which in most cases gives advantage to respawning team
• Store credits still doesnt show real value of the price in euro or you local currency
• No more in depth profiles with match history and stats
• Still can't see other players steam profile
• No specific keybindings for each class and loadout
• No setting for default skins in equipment menu

BUFF THE RIOT SHIELD:
Here are a few ways that can improve the shield, as it underperforms against any other ranged and melee weapon. I know all of these together would make the shield pretty strong but even 1 or 2 would be enough to improve it so much!:

• While blocking movement speed should be the same as walking (increasing block movement speed would help a lot in pushing and giving your teammates support)
• The shield should block a larger area of the body to make it more consistent at blocking melee, bullets, and splash damage. Players with decent aim can easily hit the arms and legs which defeats the whole purpose of it.
• Blocking melee attacks should inflict a knockback to prevent melee weapons from clipping through and scoring a second hit with the active frames.
• Increase the melee range, even just +1m of range would make it feel so much better to catch enemies that were just outside your range before.
• Electrify the baton and allow it to glitch enemies for a very short period, it would provide a lot of team utility and prevent dash lights and charge and slam heavies from effortlessly hard countering shielders

FIX THE RIOT SHIELD BUGS:

• When picking up throwables in the arena, the first person shield model gets messed up and blocks your entire screen.
• Remove the fov and turning speed reduction when you raise the shield to block, it makes it overly clunky to use and feels terrible in a fast pace environment.

HOLDING THE DAGGER BACKSTAB:

• Make it so you can hold the backstab and it's not a forced animation, revert it like it was in the Open Beta

GIVE SMOKE GRENADES TO ALL CLASSES:

• Give smoke grenade to all classes! It would open so many strategies for the other builds! I would use smoke so much if it was on medium, especially to better support my team against fire, detection sources, or to help revive teammates, and steal cashouts in an open area.

Nerfing M60 instead of nerfing or reworking the RPG? What? Hello?

I think I saw a total of 4 people use the M60 for ~100 hours of Season 2, but literally EVERYBODY uses the RPG and NOBODY likes it. It's the meta -- you can't not equip 140 splash burst damage without asking to lose, and it's not fun at all to fight.

I find a lot of the other balance changes questionable, too, but this is the main thing you have to work out: FIX THE RPG META ON HEAVY. Thank you.

So you lowered the DPS of the pistol with the already lowest burst/auto DPS in the game?
"Our aim is to make the weapon more effective when using precise aim and going for headshots"
If you want to go for headshots, you have the LH1, which even with body shots kills a light in 3 shots now that you buffed it.
What even is the point of using the 93R?
Now you have a weapon with even lower damage than before, outclassed by literally everything... Outdamaged by weapons in the HEAVY class, a class which has 200 HP more
Okay you lowered the recoil... and increased the range... sounds like an XP-54 right? (with less damage)
There is no point in using the 93R.
For this weapon to be viable, it needs to have more DPS than automatic weapons such as the XP-54 to compensate for its burst nature.
Now, some suggestions on how to actually buff the weapon

• Completely remove the burst delay, which does not mean removing burst altogether, it means you can** immediately fire another burst**, like what happened with the recent exploit in burst weapons.
  If this were to happen, damage per bullet would have to be lowered slightly so DPS is not overkill.
• Revert the RPM change
  And finally, add more bullets to the magazine.
  These changes would incentivize a player to choose the 93R over non-burst options like the XP-54, while not going overkill with its buffs like adding more damage per bullet so that it 2-bursts lights with body shots only.

hey embark. if this is not a bug, which i dont think it is... please let new players play quick cash to unlock the other modes. Tossing new players into unranked terminal attack for their fist few matches will push them away HARD. they will be heavily punished for dying, which they will die a lot. have little room to experiment since gadgets can only be used once or twice per round. and since its got competitive rulesets. if a player leaves, the match ends early. so new players are booted from one of their first matches. And if that happens, it doesn't leave a good first impression.

About match canceling when someone leave the match.

A minute and a half isn't enough time, because if a player is out and their game crashes, that's just not enough time to start the game again and connect to the match. The game takes a long time to start up on non-superpowered PCs.
We had one teammate where the game froze on the loading screen when connecting to a ranking match, he didn't have time to reconnect. And the ban for a whole hour.

P.S. Maybe just pause the game for, say, 3 minutes, or have a vote?

I Currently Only have 2 Complaints with the game.

1: RPG does 140 damage. That means lights can just kill counter played instantly and left and one shot.

If you have Player#1 who has time to play 5 games, and they win all of them, they'll get , depending on their and their teams performance ~500k cashed out (probably can be more, lets go with 500k for the example)

Then Player#1 is done for the day, goes back to chores or whatever.

You have Player#2, who is a pretty bad player, best performance is through round 1. Considering he is spamming games, he gets an avg. of 25k cashed out each match (avg counted as sometimes wins round 1 and gets some money in round 2, sometimes none, etc.)

He plays 20 games, and they are on the same point as Player#1.

At this point we are not even counting the possibility of Player#2 doing well rarely and getting more cashed out.

Yes, if Player#1 and Player#2 plays the exact amount of games, Player#1 will have more cashed out. But if they don't, Player#2 can exceed him, even though they are night and day skill wise.

So yes, ranking by cashed out does reward play time over player "skill".

The balance changes suck in general but highlights below.

You might as well of removed ranged weapons from Heavy, how are you gonna nerf the damage on Lewis and at the same time tweak the recoil.

Then nerf the m60 damage but not modify the fall off damage.

Neither weapon is even viable, you lose trades to everyone now period, so your options are short range, sa12, flamethrower, or melee

You made LH1 so easy to use that it's the only option option on light that makes sense, using anything else is just pointless.

Even before the season came out we knew ranked Terminal Attack was gonna suck, but now that it's here and we can try it, guess what? It still sucks, there's nothing "competitive" or even fun about it

Kind of a bummer to see past bundles being available individually. While folk complain about TA ranked on a F2P those that supported the game with money get shit on with this store change. I get it, the system is great but for those who bought whole bundles for just a few items could have had thousands of multi-bucks left over to spend on other various 'wanted' items.

Played for a little bit, and as a player who logged 520 hours into the game (mostly ranked, but after getting diamond just power shift for the circuit challenges) I think I'm standing this season out. The time I tried season 3 made me actually even regret spending any money on this game in the past. It's just melee now, it doesn't matter I have a really good aim with AKM as other mediums mostly use swords now that deflect my bullets, the fact that I am good with dematerializer is useless, as everyone runs melee, bow headshot damage is absolutely bonkers, and plenty of other reasons there is no point to mention here, as seems it will only go downhill from now on. See you in season 4 (hopefully).

Changes feel pretty good right now. A few weapons feel off like riot shield for example but all in all its good at the moment.
The new map is far too big for heavies. Light and Medium have no issue coming around but heavies take a minute to get to vaults.
Respawn distance of 230 meters is not helping either it has so much elevation and if you are dead you are out.

My idea to bring back Ranked Tournament and keep World Tour more ''unique'':

Bring back Ranked Tournament, as for World Tour you can make it so the game mode of it changes every 2 weeks (including the contracts, maps and everything else).
This World Tour change will test the contestants adaptability and will bring back Ranked Tournament that a large amount of the community are asking for.
People are not satisfied with the Ranked changes as it is very slow paced and doesn't fit the game, it's not really fun to get one-shotted then not able to play again, Terminal Attack also just makes certain loadouts useless.

S3 is good. but a cuple of things needs to be fixed.
lets start with the obvious one. the bow.
its needs a heavy dps nerf. the dps it can do in a matter of a second. is insane. like if the bow is gonna be like this then you better bring back nukes and oneshot RPG.
the dual swords. i dont have much to say. maybe increase the range of the hits. as i can be almost inside someone and still miss. maybe its just ping. but its still really short range. the damage you take while blocking is WAAAAAY to low. if you sit with a healing beam. you cannot die.
the spear. ability to cancel the spin. as 3 hits takes forever to do. and you cant do anything while your doing it. the hammer beats spear spinn by a mile. like its not even a competition. so the spin is really useless.
the winch claw i really like it. its really good. the speed of the hook should be faster. as i can throw it. and a sniper could shot twice before it hits. so increase the travel speed by a little. not to much.
the bore love it. really good that light finally have something to breach consistant with. as breach charge is the worst gadget in the game. the damage is fine. that just a perfect gadget. no buffs needed or nerfs.

what needs to happen: meele weapons should hit through shields. i should be able to poke someone with a spear when they have mesh up.

I 100% agree with this opinion.

In reality, Terminal Attack will quite literally never compete in the Tac-Shooter genre that is dominated by Valorant/CS2(PC) and R6(Console).
Unlike those games The Finals is casual in its nature and thrives in the mix that it created between BR and Tac Shooter. I was very confident in this company and happy with a lot of changes and ideas they brought but after this update I lost all of my faith.
Because not only did the idea of doing this make it out of the idea board it somehow made it to live servers.

I am not sure of a single game that decided to replace its main game-mode that it was created around with an LTM that was introduced just a few weeks ago.
This is all on top of the fact that we received less content to change the game then we did last season (which was completely expected tbf. There was no way the level of content we got last season would be a norm).

Personally, I will only be playing to finish the battle pass and then I will be spending my time in an actually fun Tac-Shooter called Valorant and will not be coming back to the game that used to be a nice breath of fresh air in the entire shooter genre.

The Light class is still the weakest class. My suggestion is to revert the nerfs on cloak and stun. Cloak should give the player complete invisibility when moving and the stun gun needs to prevent affected players from being able to ADS and use abilities (but please keep the high range on the stun gun). These changes are absolutely needed for the game. The Light class has always been the funnest class to play, so its pick rate needs to be as high or higher than the other classes. Thank you Embark for giving Lights faster health regen and buffing LH1 and VS9!!!!

Lol hell no. Cloak is one of the most stupid abilities in this game and if anything it should be replaced with something else. Pressing reload needs to cancel the bow draw. Also mantling over things should be possible while drawing the bow, either cancel it, or keep the draw for after the mantle like hanzo in overwatch. Also some kind of minor audio and visual feedback when the bow reached full draw would be good. Best would be an animation for the crosshair showing draw level.
Please devs play overwatch and look at Hanzo to smooth out bow gameplay.

On the first round I successfully reconnected, but when we won again and I enter the final round, I was kicked out again and was banned in ranked match for leaving the game to often!!! I saw many other teams with only 1 or 2 teammates on the second round. They probably encountered the same question and got kicked out, please fix it soon. I came to reply as soon as I met this problem. I don't know how often will it occur, but it's a serious problem people could lose rank for no reason!!

Kyoto is absolutely beautiful! A little too running simulator-ish but great anyway. As for class balancing, how can you shit the bed worse than a sumo wrestler after eating taco bell is beyond me. 
I'll try to mention each class to be fair for all. (No, I am not a L/M/H main, I play them all 'almost' equally.)

First the ELEPHANT in the room. 

Heavy:
What the actual f*ck? 7-12 second cooldown on a tool that goes through EVERYTHING to STUNLOCK a player? It is a one press death sentence. Is this copium for the C4 nuke nerf? It travels incredibly fast and once you're grabbed, you get blasted by SA1216, Flamethrower, Sledge + the rest of the enemy team. You once again gave H a single tool ON A 7 SECOND COOLDOWN that one shots a player. They can just lay down a mine or two, wait in a corner by the objective and BOOM. They survive the blast, the victim doesn't.
This also brings me to the second point, NERF the bloody RPG already. NO CLASS should have a tool that shuts down any other class completely! Reducing dmg to 140 was a joke. What do you expect Ls to do in a fight when they're already at 10 hp? Make it 100~.

Medium:
Poor sobs didn't even get a new spec. Defib nerf from last season was nice, but give them something. Revolver still not perfectly accurate, needs a better sight. Dual blades are cool but need better tracking and a wider hitbox like the sledge does. Deflecting... not sure. Great concept but what's the point if you can't even reach the enemy during that to attack. Might need adjusting with how much dmg it deflects.

Light: LH1 still does absurd dmg. You nerfed the one thing they had against H/M which was the taser and still won't revert it. Whole point of invis is to be stealthy when you approach them yet it's way too loud activate and now it is not even long enough to approach an enemy from a safe distance. The Thermal Bore is a joke. Who's got time to blow a small hole in a wall from a distance with a delay while time is running out?```

• desperately need an option to disable resolution scaling completely (taau, fsr and friends)

I think honestly most of what was done this season was good, the main downsides being buffs given to already good weapond like throwing knives and lh1, and TA being the gamemode being pushed, it feels too far from what I want to be playing. Bro, can world tour not just be ranked from last season? And can we PLEASE drop the "you can't switch gear at all mid tournament" ruleset? It's honestly horrid and the main reason I didn't play ranked. Not being able to swap gear at all from your reserves mid match completely defeats the purpose of the limited inventory system you already have IN the game's casual modes. It makes me feel like I have way less options and get punished for guessing my opponents builds wrong.

My team is basically forced to take the most wide covering builds imaginable - or else risk losing the entire match because someone happened to have an item that hard countered ours (aka I guessed wrong). Not letting us swap items mid match (not like powershift, but like quick cash and casual tournament) is simply miserable and makes the gameplay experience worse for everyone. I feel like MOST people agree. I think it's one of the reasons power shift popped off so hard, but also why casual tournament was missed so bad when it was removed.

Honestly, it's just annoying you guys haven't changed this setup for cashout tournaments. It truly makes it a bottom tier gamemode tbh. Casual cashout tournaments were so much better simply by virtue of being able to have more wiggle room. IMO ranked cashout is simply inferior to casual tournament and it's baffeling you all thought to keep the ranked varient for world tour - the premier mode for this season. PCs need this imo to maximize FPS and get rid of those annoying frame drops!

• They can lower down shadow quality which will heavily help out performance especially since it is on unreal engine
• texture quality can be lowered down, works for most games
• tesselation can be lowered or even remove, it takes a massive hit on performance
• clouds and background buildings can be removed, smaller render distance for uneccesary objects

hey devs! I understand the change of the Starter Pack into money instead of multibucks, but I think its a bit of a rough sell when the game is still so buggy at times, and performance is oh so awful in general... I play OW2 with 144 fps but in The Finals (I know the games, the art style, the complexity of the maps and physics and everything is different, BUT...) I need to have settings turned down so low to even have 60 fps that I can barely see enemies through the sniper scope (TAAU at 50% render scale plus everything on "low" except view distance on "epic" so I can at least try to guess where contestants' heads are within that blur that I see at a distance)...

I would love to be supporting this game financially on a season to season basis, but I can barely play the game as is, even though I love it. All friends that I've convinced to try the game quit because of performance issues as well, and it just feels a bit sad... I know ranked changes and adding new stuff to the game is very important for keeping players in, but as Nexon themselves said on their shareholders report, The Finals needs more players, and the performance issues I feel are a huge barrier to entry, while also risking the loss of existing players like me, who stuck on because they love the concept of the game and were just waiting for some effective performance improvement patches... that never came.

I won't stop playing until my hope for better performance finally runs out, but I also won't be financially supporting the game in the meantime either when I can play literally any other FPS (all of them are worse than The Finals in terms of fun and gampley for me, but oh well) and they all run fine =(

I'm sure I'm not the only one, and once again, I'm also sure we're losing out on some new blood by keeping things the way they are.

TA turns the game into a boring Counter Strike elimination game. That's literally about the only verbage needed to describe the mode to a friend that asks what it's like. "it's just Counter Strike bomb defusal mode"

The new bow weapon really shouldn't allow you to ads unless there's a scope attatched, or at least a proper iron sight like apex has. As well, you shouldn't have to constantly swap gadgets/qm to unweild the arrow draw. Such a huge oversight on the latter point imho.

Born to play Cashout, Forced to play Terminal Attack. At least here's some fixes you can do to make it better.

HOW TO FIX TERMINAL ATTACK

• Prep phase is too long, there's nothing to prep, not a big deal, but minimum, in a 13 round match, you're expected to stay still for ~6.5 minutes
• Voiceline Alerts needed if Key isn't picked up, "We forgot the Decryption key",
• Decryption Key should NOT be a carriable item, instead should be a status, you either have the key or not. Press G to drop. A decrpytion key viewmodel + planting key animations would be cool too.
• Terminal shouldn't make any noise while planting OR disabling, you can't fake a steal. There should be an initial beep and that's it. As much as I wish it was, this isn't cashout.
• No reduced loss if a teammate goes AFK, still? Seriously?
• These maps are way too big and not made for Terminal Attack, most of the map isn't explored, maybe make smaller versions of the bigger map, which will allow the half time reconstruction phase to complete faster?
• An economy would make the game more interesting, defuse kits, buy ur gadgets, buy ur special, buy armor. Don't think guns should be sold, unless guns were reworked (i.e more guns) Maybe you could buy ammo for ur gun instead? Cash rewards for killing, planting, etc.
• The guardian turret is too OP for this mode. The turret should have certain ammo, i.e 30/30, after shooting 30 bullets, the turret reloads itself, or maybe the owner must reload it manually. I prefer the first option.

HOW TO FIX CASHOUT

• When you wipe an enemy team, you gain 30 percent of their lost money
• When holding cashout, @ 25 % Completion gain $2.5k, @ 75 % Completion gain $2.5k, @ Cashout Completion gain $5k, 3 Split rewards for one cashout. (overwatch capture point basically)
• Spawns should be fixed, 3 v 3 at first vault, both teams should spawn at an equal distance to the vault, nobody should spawn with a Tempo Advantage
• Charge N' Slam nerf
  * Light regen hp faster Embark did this one in S3
• Higher cash reward for kills
• No premade teammates in Diamond 2+ Emerald 2+, since Embark confirmeed Ruby is Top 500, ladder rank should be based on individual skill rather than who stacks/plays more

turning terminal attack into ranked doesn't set the game apart from others. A counter-strike type game has been done too many times before. the reason I play the finals and not those other games is because cash out is different. its a 3v3v3v3 cash based game NOT the same 5v5 attack and defend mess that every other game does. If I wanted to play a 5v5 tactical shooter with some trash randoms, id go to R6, CSGO, Valorant, COD- search and destroy, etc.

I understand yall are working on cashout behind the scenes. However, I think we would collectively agree that we would prefer constant updates to cashout ranked than waiting 104 days(season 4) for the intended game to come back

Changing the ranked game mode was the worst decision ever. It made the game feel just like any other with a search-and-destroy mode. Having a unique game mode was a refreshing change. • When you wipe an enemy team, you gain 30 percent of their lost money
• When holding cashout, @ 25 % Completion gain $2.5k, @ 75 % Completion gain $2.5k, @ Cashout Completion gain $5k, 3 Split rewards for one cashout. (overwatch capture point basically)
• Spawns should be fixed, 3 v 3 at first vault, both teams should spawn at an equal distance to the vault, nobody should spawn with a Tempo Advantage
• Charge N' Slam nerf
  * Light regen hp faster Embark did this one in S3
• Higher cash reward for kills
• No premade teammates in Diamond 2+ Emerald 2+, since Embark confirmeed Ruby is Top 500, ladder rank should be based on individual skill rather than who stacks/plays more

if a player leaves a terminal attack game (even if its unranked) it will force you to keep playing the game for 1:30 or you'll be suspended, and then it makes you wait ANOTHER 1:30 for the match to automatically be cancelled so you're just sitting there for 1 and a half minutes knowing that the match is going to be cancelled without being able to go into a different game . surely this cannot be the intended design of the system

Queued for TA ranked first time this season and crashed immediately. Relaunched the game, reconnected, got an error and got kicked. Tried to reconnect again and immediately got a message that the match is canceled du to a player disconnecting. Got a 10 minute suspension for "leaving". Please work on stability, This is not the first time something like this happened and I'm not the only person this affects, I've seen many posts about people just crashing randomly. Please work on the stability of the game, this is just so tiresome and disappointing.

In my humble opinion, if you are changing the mode for ranked, pick a mode that is more fun and more linked to the core gameplay.
The finals is different from other Tac shooters, so there’s no reason to make the comp modes the same, if people wanted to play defusal, they would play valorant, r6, or csgo

Heavy is notably weaker
Light is pretty strong (melee)
Cheaters are more prevalent

TA is rough. I'm truly not a fan of it being the sole ranked mode and how long the games are (best of 14?!) It requires you to have a full 5 stack coming from 3 and it's just not a great experience compared to the previous ranked experience. After grinding Cashout tournament it makes time spent getting better at it feel like it's in vain.

The new map is great! Excited to continue to learn it and develop playstyle on it.

Melee is still notably strong as there is little to counter lights in addition to throwing knives. Seems to be the theme this season. Would hate to see it be a "if you can't beat em, join em" type of deal. Nonetheless, a fan of the health regen changes for lights.

Famas buff makes it "better" but I don't think it is "good". Medium weapons don't feel "good" anymore nor do Heavy weapons. All of the recoil pattern changes, dps changes, etc. make it very difficult to "learn" a gun and be consistent with it. I'm all for adaptability in games, but it's hard to adapt when the changes are so drastic. From the start of Season 2 to now, it feels like a completely different game, and not necessarily in a good way. I'm a huge, huge, huge fan of the finals and I hate to sound like a complainer, but it isn't a very enjoyable experience at the moment. I trust the devs and will continue to support and play the game so long as there is a commitment to players. I understand that there are things that are going to take place that I'm not going to like as a player and I fully accept that, but it seems that the sentiment is similar across the board.

Ranked terminal attack is genuinely really really fun, and I've been having an absolute blast. However, there are heavies everywhere running the winch claw and slug shotgun. They use the winch claw to grab light, use the slug shotgun and then quick melee, which completely insta kills light. RPG was already a death sentence for light but with this new strategy light has barely any counterplay.

@pearl kiln what made you guys not put much effort into the level 8 skin? This is easily the worst skin available for just about any gun and that’s supposed to be the signifier that you are proficient with that weapon/item. The pink tiger was awesome I just would’ve liked to see a little more of a cooler skin. There’s a lot of xp that has to be gained to get to level 8 and with some gadgets it takes a long time. I’ve personally been using the aps since the beginning of season 1 and I don’t even have the purple skin yet
