yes. This game is pc first. But all the consoles combined should be close to the pc numbers alone.
And aimassist is really strong on console after the recent changes. To the point average console player outbems most average pc mnk/controller players.
But good pc players will still outaim most console. This is because strafes in this game are VERY slow to change directions unlike overwatch or other games. Soo rotational aimassist reacting at 0ms with that smooth eficient movement is not op like those other games.
You also don't need to flick on direction changes on mnk and can be smooth and 100% accurate since again, game has slow direction changes.

This would be an interesting tech implementation. Use AI to learn your voice model and generate your voice. But this is very resource demanding both in-game and for the studio. If this rolls out I guess I would still use the default voice since I'm just here to play the game.

Actually I feel they should cancel all contestants voice call out in the game but give every type of ping a unique sound. Then use mic for the voice. Every choice is a reflection of a person's character, even disabling mic.

We have played same games with friends, 1 went from plat2 to diamond 4, one from gold2 to plat 2, i went plat 2 to plat 1. And im talking about 15 games with around 4 losses on round 2 mostly cuz of cheaters and maybe 7 wins and 4 final losses. From todays games it was 1 final loss, 1 round 2 loss (cuz cheaters aimbotting whole lobby) and 1 win and i drop 3000 ranks in leaderboard like the fuck is this? XD how am i supposed to get points up do i need to lose all my games on round 1 if i get punished dropping in ranks for winning 2/3 of my games? XD

I think thats too much to expect, since besides the computational requirements to do this for each player, you also have to consider that for certain players it might not work properly for one reason or another, and you have to address those individually. I did always think it would be cool if we could choose our own team names, which even the casters ingame would use. Of course there are limitations to that, but I believe its feasible if you make it some sort of a clan tag or something, and creating a clan costs some points (like VR or even money). I'd just find it so funny if my team could be The bed wetters, The poopy pants or The party poopers.

It’s a feedback channel buddy, if people can complain about a funny little dash ability I don’t see why I can’t complain about a weapon that insta kills before you can even see the person using it.

not to mention, if it got buffed DAYS ago, and you don't ever play against it, what can you say about your skill level? who cares who you are if you don't even know what I'm talking about? light is barely viable in ranked, not because it's bad, but because it's absolute bullshit playing as a light or against a light. a ton of the game's big changes have been nerfs to light, and yet people don't play it anyways? the reason isn't because balancing is needed, but because it's an unfun character, some people think it's better to nerf it to the ground rather than make it balanced but unfun and inconsistent. I don't give a shit who you are, if a weapon is unfun, anyone is allowed to say that it's unfun, and maybe there's a chance something will change. what do you think this channel is for? to shoot down other people's ideas just because you're claiming to be better at the game? if the weapon is terrible, then say it's terrible and maybe it'll get a buff, if I think it's stupid from a design POV then I'll say that. just because you're apparently #27 in the world doesn't mean you're automatically always right and the smartest cookie in the pot, and it really shows.

When I refer to removing the SBMM I mean the logic that tries to balance the teams, putting 1 good player with 2 deadweights which does not equal 3 average players despite the matchmaking thinking otherwise. The SBMM also takes streaks into account, meaning if you get win or losstreak it will match you accordingly. So If the system detects you're a good player, it will give you shittier teammates trying to enforce 50% winrate, thats why you see absolute animals in Diamond.

Nah your cooked bro. Firstly invis is so audible when moving that using it might aswell broadcast your position more than not using it. and the knife. Yes good players can use it effectively but good players can use anything effectively. If you are getting backstabbed your either being outskilled or have a skill issue. The knife is not overpowered Invis is underpowered and idk what you are coping about.

Yeah so your not actually right there. I don't think they have sbmm in ranked. However you can totally queue with your friends who are silver/gold while you yourself are diamond. How do I know this? Because I queue with silver/gold. Our ranks do not even out or anything like that as would happen in sbmm. It is simply a full diamond lobby. When queuing with a friend it takes the highest players rank and matches around that. That is ehy you can see diamonds with a gold or lower on their team in certain circumstances.

In these scenarios it is simply "you die or they die" infact "you die or they die" is how 90% of combat works in pretty much every game ever. Its very satisfying to kill someone with a backstab and it is perhaps less but still satisfying to kill some rat that was trying to backstab you. If you don't have fun with it then maybe rather than the weapon not belonging in the game maybe you don't? Just saying.

an identity? who says an identity is a good thing here? paladins is a game with a good identity, and it's extremely unbalanced half the time. why is "a niche 1-tap" a good thing? you're just stating that it's interesting, not that it's enjoyable. maybe in a game where you can't dash directly into someone you already outspeed, like tf2 or CS, it makes sense, but people are dropping crazy kill counts in my games with it, and I've heard many other players in my matches (good players or not) saying the same. you can just dash in, backstab, and dash out. not to mention, they just BUFFED the weapon, so who says the game IS losing its identity? you're complaining about something that isn't even happening. what is it that I complained about that's somehow making the game "lose its identity"? invis? it's barely changed in a way that actually changes its viability. dagger? got buffed. dash? barely touched.

Hi i saw that daily quest have nothing. I wanted to make them more interesting and i made a few plans for stickers/charms/sprays etc. and i was planning to make them for making daily quest (all in one day) at streak so u can earn them. (the reward is not visible so we dont know what we get) I dont know if my requirements are too much for them but here we are. Im not good artist (never was) and for 1st i wanna start normally like everything is ok... but when we progress with next quest we will get 2nd which is depressed and wasted. Now for the 3rd one i have 2 concepts made for now ( but if idea is cool for you i can make more ) the first one fell apart and is devoured by the void and second one changed into demon (idk what write for demon im waiting for suggestion). when i shoot a player with it to stick them, they can just run out the back and the goo stays stuck in the air blocking me from dealing any damage or hunting them down
this makes basically all combat applications of this useless and the only thing left to do is build a bunker (witch is terribly boring)

i understand that the old goo/player interaction was not good since it was possible to permanently trap someone

my suggestion would be to:

  • at least have the goo not stay floating in the air
  • but best make the goo apply a slow effect and not create a rigid foam if it hits a player. the slow could be indicated by a status effect "gooed" (like burning/EMPed) to have a visual indicator that the slow is applied.

this would mean that:

  • It is no longer possible to permanently trap a player
  • it is no longer possible to goo yourself up to block incoming damage
  • it is no longer possible to interrupt a cashout steal by blocking line of sight to the cashout by gooing up the stealing player
  • it is now possible for teammates to more easily damage gooed up enemy players

my suggestion for the "gooed" effect itself:

  • duration 2 seconds (possibly less) ( this need to be enough to swap from googun to another weapon (eg. sledgehammer/flamethrower/shotgun) and do some damage before the effect wears out
  • slow amount similar to stun gun

-please don’t nerf things into the ground and make them feel worse to people that are used to them, instead buff the other stuff in the game that is not even remotely viable. Make guns have their own feel and their own niche (ex- FCAR now is basically the same thing as the AK)

-build a community by hosting streamer events like the Friday Fortnite tournaments

-for the love of god, PUT THE “HYPE” REACTION BACK IN THE ORIGINAL SPOT SO I CAN SPAM IT AND CELEBRATE WITH MY TEAM

It would be really cool if yall added a new vault feature where u can just vault over a smaller obstacle while maintaining ur momentum so u don't have to jump on it and then continue running. It'll make the overall game smoother and would be neat new addition for movement. Maybe u can choose to vault over like that by double pressing ur jump button when ur near the obstacle while running to it

How about a healing dart for lights as a gadget with a little boost of health so this will make light a bit more useful in ranked and it’s not auto-aim healing beam plus u have to be accurate IT GIVES MORE HEALTH WHEN TEAMMATE HEALTH LOW and have grapple hook stuck to walls whenever for ambush and improve grapple hook inertia physics for players.

Give dagger a downwards thrust with 80-100 damage depending on how high u charge it when falling.

Add automatic crossbow for heavy and have it climbable when stuck to walls.

Have different game balance for causal and ranked causes different audience causes back and forth balances.

We have problem with dagger hit register as it only work after dash finishes but people run away at the last moment,just make it work a few milliseconds earlier.

Penalise leaving even in quickplay. 3 Games today, first 2 games, 4 rage quit in the ennemy team in the first 2 minutes, second game the entire ennemy team left, third game , 3 of my teamates left (in powershift). Penalise them, kids who cant stay 5 minutes in the same games because they're getting destroyed and think the next game is gonna be different deserve to be on a timer for searching new games. edit : 4th game today. Exact same, 8m25 left and they were already 2v5. Ban people who leave.

it feels so stupid to play THE FINALS and actually try to win. when the entire power shift round we never got a 5th player . This game is TOTALLY DEAD because of the bugs that go ages without being fixed. It's a shame Embark doesn't care about this game cause it had potential.

@cinder ridge been playing since s1 so if I say the devs don't care about the game it's because they aren't fixing long standing bugs that have been reported. Nobody cares about a new map or some stupid recolor skins or a new game mode when they can't even fix the existing bugs.

People will stop leaving quick play when there’s a game mode with a respawn timer of less that 30 seconds. If you aren’t slaying out you spend on average 2-5 minutes a game watching numbers count down. Also adding a quick play penalty in general will push casual playerbase away from the game @night dune maybe wait a week when s3 comes out and see how much they fix before saying they don’t care about the game they created

Also add healing bombs. Replace turret with a manual turret instead of a automatic one. Make it so you have to turn off cloak before you can do anything else like shooting. Replace the stun gun with a aps type gadget that stuns people like before the nerf if you’re in its circle. Make it so you can cancel a defib revive by shooting the silhouette it makes and make glitch grenades cancel it too. Allow lights to have faster regen. Make the grapple better too.

Ok, so the majority of the complaints in hers are skilled based. With that said the game need to be fun to play for the casual player as well as the competitive one.
I think one major reason for the high number of rage quitting is a wast number of soloq are facing pre made teams and get slaughtered.
Why not just add a separate soloq for all with no pre made team?

Man is not your fault. Tbh from what i can see is that a loooooot of frustration build up, people are disappointed, some upset cause a new update gives new bugs, poor performance so on. But man the dev team are trying their best, like man they are people to, they are so stressed out cause as much as they do smthing doesn’t work the way it should. And when they see comments like yours they fell down, and won’t had that desire to do better. That s way i say this for all man chill, is just a game, the finals is not the only game that had been full of bugs or imbalances. Take a brake, relax, find people to talk use mic, try stupid build that don t make sense but are fun and relax till season 3 drops. I still think is to early to say what’s going to happen to this game.

I've gotta know if anyone else has any issues with ranking up. Recently my friend has joined my squad (a three man now) and he has gone from Gold 3 to Diamond 2 in about a week. We have only played together and all play pretty consistently, but I have been stuck in Platinum 1 for the last month. It just feels so demoralising.

Some games they do better than me, others I do better. We had a second round loss today where I went 3 down, they went 1 down, even with the rank difference. We were close stats wise but I was ahead. I just wanna know how it works and why I am so stuck lmao.

REMOVE THE SNIPER RIFLE from powershift. you can't freaking move from spawn, use ziplines, jump pads, open field, windows, you get shot instantly these days. God damn I'm pissed at the game right now, five matches today, all dog shit sniper fests... Same for weeks now. I just want a god damn match without snipers, pretty much all of them are fun... "play around them", that isn't the issue, they don't in the game, at all. Rant over. No it isn't, Season 1 and early Season 2 not a single day, not a single one, I came off from the game with bad mood. Now it has been weeks I HATE the game, and I'm pissed after closing it down... If season 3 wasn't this close, I would un-install, right now.

The sniper rifle is one of these weapons that really need a nerf, or a counter for most classes

The sniper itself has a flaw, its hitscan, you can grab it without knowing what are you doing and probably kill a few players, another flaw is that theres no way to fight back for any class but lights, maybe heavies can win some time with the barricades but you cant hide forever

And the worst flaw is that even if you get close to then they can Just run away with the hook or dash, I really think medium would be more balanced to have the sniper honestly, he can get the high ground with his gadget but also he cant just run away easily if you catch him

Counters are not the problem, they already made the barricades bigger to counter them, they know the issue, but don't wanna do what needs to be done. Snipers limit the game overall, you can't do jack shit, I just played another match, and you get shot right at the spawn. This isn't hide and seak, this is Finals, use verticality, jump around, zip around, and so on... or not it seems... Also, NERF THE KNIVES, they are ridiculous now, holy moly this dev team, I swear to god they don't play casual play list, at all... They should had allready hotpatched them, but I guess they only play ranked.... So it's fine... But I actually got one good game in PS, no knives, no snipers, just one guy exploiting sword was the only downside, or maybe he was just good with 18 kills (oh my god Light sucks... No, just 90+% Light players suck, Light is fine), not sure, but it was great.

My teammates were in the lobby, but when the game started both were gone. Nobody rejoined it seemed like when people leave in tournament, but it Was normal quick cash. Also both of them had 200 objective score for whatever reason.

honestly I think the reason ppl have issues in powershift is because the level of competition is lower. if you get a good medium or even 2 people to work together they can shut the snipers down easily. most people just w key to the platform out in the open over an over again then wonder why they get sniped in the same spot each time

great game, im having a cheater in every game which is leading to people disconnecting and just one guy in the lobby have 15-20 kills, 2 games in a row now, 2 yesterday on casual. bit more rare in ranked but it still happening, very annoying.

Also add healing bombs. Replace turret with a manual turret instead of a automatic one. Make it so you have to turn off cloak before you can do anything else like shooting. Replace the stun gun with a aps type gadget that stuns people like before the nerf if you’re in its circle. Make it so you can cancel a defib revive by shooting the silhouette it makes and make glitch grenades cancel it too. Allow lights to have faster regen. Make the grapple better too.

BUFF THE RIOT SHIELD:
Here's some suggestions, I know all of these together would make the shield pretty strong but even 1 or 2 would be enough to improve it so much!:

  • While blocking movement speed should be the same as walking (increasing block movement speed would help a lot in pushing and giving your teammates support)
  • Increase swing speed (Honestly a lot issues would be solve with this, the weapon lacks a good ttk)
  • Increase damage from 84 to 90
  • Electrify the baton and give it a glitch effect, when you hit somebody they're glitched for 2,5 sec (This would give the shield so much utility and would help the team greatly, making it a viable options)

FIX THE FOV WHEN HOLDING THE SHIELD UP:

  • Remove the fov zoom when you hold your shield up (it's very annoying that when you block the screen zooms in, either remove it or add the option to choose between affected or indipendent fov while aiming)

HOLDING THE DAGGER BACKSTAB:

  • Make it so you can hold the backstab and it's not a forced animation, revert it like it was in the Open Beta

GIVE SMOKE GRENADES TO ALL CLASSES:

  • Give smoke grenade to all classes! It would open so many possibilities! I would use smoke so much if it was on medium, on the other hand i've barely seen any Light using smoke, especially when they have better gadgets to choose from

That isn't issue... "You can play around them", sure, but they make the mode shit, period. I just played a match, where we started with 9 people, because ofcourse you, and seven, seven, were Lights... Five of them in opponents team. We won the match by the way (one of the opponents left after dying few times), we never got backfilled for fifth player, that is an issue too. We won, yet the match was mostly boring, yeye!

The funny thing is that I see a lot of people demanding a DMR for the medium or a Anti Material Rifle for the Heavy.

The finals is at its best when played close to medium range. Thats where the most action happens, and the highest skill expression lies. Only in that range can you really utilise the environment to your advantage. If you play around the objective and survive on a small amount of HP that is a thrilling experience. Not getting one shot across the map in a game with a high TTK.
And long range peak fights are just boring, especially in a game like the finals which requires a lot of proactivity.

The game is best when there are no long range weapons. Change my mind.

I know that AI "art" is a sensitive topic in general, but I'd still like to leave my feedback regarding this topic here. Barely anyone mentioned before that they're charging actual money for generated images (stickers you can put on your weapons). Please do better embark, generative AI steals from artists, please commission artists for your in-game stickers that you're charging actual money for. Videogames are a form of art, so please respect other forms of art. I know my feedback won't change much about this issue but I hope other people will also stand up for this.

EDIT: (i can't reply so i'll just edit the message to reply to your question) Lots of them, for example the Roar of yore, goblin' up fate, hoppy easter, lil' rusty etc. lots of them are generated, but these are a few very clear examples where there design is super inconsistent and visibly generated.

Just wanna add a few suggestions, but here are some things that i'd LOVE to see in the game during Season 3:

  • New Team Names
    something like Scotty yelling "The Protagonists really are the main characters! They've banked some more cash!" or June saying "The Thunderclaps are making massive echoes, they've started our first Cashout of the match!" would suit it well :)
  • Personalised voice lines
    If they directly addressed players when they got an achievement i think this'd be quite cool!
  • Vehicles!
    Once seen in an alpha promotion, these look sick! Maybe give them destructive properties tho as I'm not sure that they'd be fun to drive in closed maps like Vegas.
  • More gameshow events!
    I'd love to see maybe a "Time Warp" event where the game decides whether to speed up or slow down the pace of the game - maybe area based? for example, around a cashout it'd be slower and outside of that the game would move faster - affecting fire rates, reload times etc. --> maybe a bit too OP?
  • Sponsorships
    Having the choice between different brands for personalised contracts is a really cool idea!

so I recently came back to the quickplay game modes to complete challenges after mostly playing ranked. I think the issue is that ranked provides an incentive to play the objective and the quickplays don't. yeah it can be boring but you won, I think if there was a rank tied to it people would play differently. also the long distance challenges are to blame because thats the only mode they can play in that has a chance of completing it because it is extremely outmatched by the meta and other weapons

nerfing / removing it is going in the wrong direction. maybe if not making it ranked you could get store credits and / or custom items with so many wins (or time on platform) to make people take quickplays more seriously

I can't stop playing this game, seeing the “theory lore” videos, the improvements the game has made in just 1 year! And nobody notices...
I keep talking about The Finals to other streamers, in their communities, in their dedicated discords. But it seems they really hate the game. Why ?

I've heard arguments, which I couldn't disagree with, such as:

  • server not optimized
  • Not enough content
  • Very long competitive queue

But one sentence, which personally annoys me, is that the game is repetitive.... As if, Valorant, R6, League of Legend, Minecraft wasn't ! I don't get it.

During the Beta, everyone, 1 year ago had this huge Hype about this game... And now they're rejecting it like the plague. Or expired food (idk).

I show them the lore content, like the videos at the beginning of the game with Scotty and june talking about an ia, recently released. They don't seem to be impressed. It's as if this kind of thing came out every day in their games.

Listen, If we were to have a serious discussion, from you to me, imagine Embark letting the community talk about the game, to promote it. Whatever it takes ! How would you do it ?

imo, someone who says the game "doesnt have enough content" just doesnt really understand the kind of lateral thinking this game encourages. the sandbox present in the game gives room for tons and tons of experimentation and unique experiences on an admittedly limited selection of maps. anyone trying to play the game like call of duty will see there's only N maps and only X guns and immediately assume that there's not much content, failing to see the depth of what's there.

as for reasons to reject the game, the biggest one i would actually kind of agree with is the use of generative AI for the announcers. i feel that embark absolutely could have hired voice actors, and that they should have, even from a purely practical standpoint. the entire controversy could have been avoided for only as much as it costs to pay two voice actors.

regardless, it feels to me like the singular blemish on an otherwise outstanding game- if someone plays it and doesnt enjoy it, then i could concede that maybe the game just isnt what they're interested in.

comparing the finals to any other FPS currently in existence is immediately an apples to oranges comparison, because nothing else is really like the finals. some people just don't like oranges and there's nothing that embark can do to change that. i've seen too many players complaining that the game is going to fail because it isnt an apple, rather than accepting that maybe it's okay for not everyone to like it. what matters is that it makes enough money to survive and that it continues to do what it's best at rather than compromise to try to appeal to the most possible people.

I also enjoy this game as well. It's not often that you can get me to make multiple purchases for cosmetics, but here I am. I see it as putting something in the tip jar, for making what I feel is an excellent game, that is just starting out.

I also like that the game is not "pay to win", as it just requires playing the game. There are some thing that do annoy me, but that is is the same with any game. It's the "game abandonment" and joining in on a game that is certain to lose that frustrates me. I play through, win or lose, because that is part of any game. But those abansoning the game in the middle of play MUST be penalized for the game to gain traction. Because what fun is a game, when you're losing one or two people who abandon in the middle of a matah? And Embark can check my K/D ratio -- I'm not one of the "goose eggs".

As for the AI Announcers? I don't mind them. What I do mind, whereas voice is concerned, is where I play as a Male character, and they sound female (and vice versa). That's a tad off-putting IMO.

let me start off by saying that ive played this religiously since open beta. its been my main fps and i love it. since the launch of power shift its been my main game mode because its fun and focused on one objective. but right now, at least in power shift, it SUCKS. every game in powershift is 50% lights either running sniper, dagger or throwing knifes. you figure out a way how to kill/hide from the sniper, boom, theres some mf throwing knifes at you, you focus on the light throwing knifes, theres a guy with a dagger right behind you. it is IMPOSSIBLE to have fun in power shift right now unless youre running a meta comp. its the first time in 240 hours of playtime ive been actually not wanting to play this game and made a complaint.

You don't get it, sniper is anti Finals, period. They should not balance this based on ranked, otherwise casual is dead, there is already Lights going 20 to 30 kills very often, nobody is going to play this if they "make the Light viable", if your average players can go for same numbers. Light is hard, most of Light players just suck, I suck with it, get over it people. They already introduced limited load outs with terminal attack, why are you so against removing sniper from PS, you just told you barely play it. 8/10 matches are absolute dogshit with either oppressive, or dog shit snipers, and those two matches where there is none, the mode is 11/10, since you can just play, just dash it out like and fight over that platform, not get sniped if you try to maneuver any way than from cover to cover, and regening health when you just try to move, or even freaking move from your spawn. It is boring and anti Finals, period. The challenges aare like devs trolling us, pushing people to play sniper, trying to shovel it down out throaths in streams, I'm right now at 8k from the 10k headshot damage, and I haven't even farted in the general direction of the sniper rifle. Once I'm done with that, see you at Season3, or maybe not, if the devs don't even recognize this issue, I'm done with them, ignorance and arrogance killed Battlefield, it will do same here. EDIT: Duckie, exactly (According to Finals 240 hours in for me too, 400 from Steam), I didn't think it would be possible the devs would make me having bad time with this game, but they managed to do it... Remove the sniper, period, people have been asking this since Season 1, for f sake...

Lol I think you just suck at tracking. You can still do a lot of damage on higher ranges. I DO think they should give fcar its old recoil back, now that the damage got nerfed. But they barely changed anything damage wise, kills are mostly still as quick as they were in s1. I DO miss the old roof climbing though. You can still climb on roofs with perfect execution, at least when the roof is low enough but it's just not the same level of freedom and feels limiting. I wish there was more technical and skill and movement tech in general but oh well...

@quaint pebble @worldly scaffold what loadouts do you run? I'll try it. I used to play a ton of powershift then moved to ranked because it was a more consistent challenge.. now coming back it is significantly easier. you spend much time in ranked? it helped me out

Yeah I used to only play ranked, but I’m playing a lot of terminal attack as well. in ranked ill play m60 or flamethrower/sledge for fun with charge or mesh. Sometimes I play goo but I’m not great with it and don’t wanna throw for my teammates but it is funny gooing people. Medium I play anything except riot shield. If I have 2 heavies I run heal with double movement or if there’s a lot of heavies in the match I’ll run aps. Light I usually play lh1/mp5 sword without exploit with dash. I like running sonar or tracking and gateway

cool, so I recently needed to finish the masters challenges - HM dmg, lmg / ar dmg, shot / melee, and 2x 2500 heal beam. So I ran lmg with charge / mesh, lewis / m60 / sa12, dome, rpg, barricade or goo sledge with the same. in ps we went against several all sniper teams and I hunted them as a heavy with goo sledge. Med was heal ar / model aps movement revive and was fine.

I guess you're not the other guy but all these builds were fine in ps? Id say as a heavy mesh was easiest and just put barricades on the walls of the platform for snipers and alternate with dome (or grab goo grenades). I actually really like running turret riot aps pad fib in ps. I do think though it can be brutal for new players and some of the mm is to blame

Its not phantom range it is where a sword user is able to cancle the lunge after it hits and get a normal strike in-between the next lunge/another normal strike with out the animation playing the dagger should 100% 1 shot on back stab (there for there needs a buff to be able to 1 shot a heavy)between the range you need to be to hit it and skill it takes to get that close and hit the stab(the 180° range on it allowing for hitting them in the side needs a nerf)

to the sword players who know all the fancy movement: is it just skill issue or why does it suddenly feel like narrow timings between quick melees and sword hits AND pretty much all the movement feels a bit desynced sometimes? I have the feeling that with the last patch or hotfix for whatever reason the sword has become a lot more sensitive to higher ping / server load . In some games I dont have any problem, in others literally every single attack and move feels wrong, happens more often with double cashouts. basic attacks like simple lunges and regular right-leftclick combos from 3 meters are not affected of course

I have a friend that is colorblind, it'd be great if there was an option to just permanently set the colors for the 3-4 teams in the game to something "fixed" (custom), so that we could avoid a scenario like pink/purple which isn't great, or just many of the other possible combinations that end up being very difficult to distinguish.

the amount of people that disconnect during casual games is crazy. I just had a quick cash game where all my teammates and a whole other team left at the start and it was just me versus a fully stacked team the whole time. additionally the previous few matches I had I was always down a teammate as well. the backfill sucks. the fact that there is no real penalty for leaving casual matches sucks. this constant habit of people disconnecting just because they don't like how the match is going sucks and is bad for the game. this has become apparent especially recently, as the game is very clearly dying out unless the devs decide to do something about these numerous issues that make the game almost unbearable to play at this point. stop just making lazy reskins of cosmetics and fix the things players have actually asked for🙏

I bet you anyone that is complaining about light throwing knives is a quick cash warrior or is a heavy/medium main. The pick rate of light in ranked is so low compared to heavy and medium as they have way better gadgets and weapons than what light has not only that they have more health. There are so many easy ways to kill and damage a light such as using an rpg or a using a few mines. If you struggle doing the above maybe stick with your team and team shoot together. Embark if you want to maybe nerf the throwing knifes in the future, just make a capacity on how many knives you can throw before reloading a pouch or something. Day 80 of me begging the devs to give heavy an M134 Minigun as a Specialization.

  • 200 Round magazine, ammo is restored two bullets every second, 100 seconds for a full reload.
  • 20 rounds per second, eleven damage a round, 220 DPS. No headshot modifier to keep DPS from becoming insane.
  • Falloff begins at 30 meters down to six damage a shot at 50, but wide spread means the weapon becomes less effective past 10 meters even against larger targets, you’re probably not getting higher than 150 DPS even as far as 10 meters.
  • bullets do high damage to structures (should be breaking walls in 20-50 shots) allowing a mid-range option to output mass destruction (destroying entire walls on higher floors of buildings, ripping apart nesting sightlines)
    • significant damage to structures and players
    • gun can be pre-spooled with RMB over having an ADS (for obvious reasons, you try to aim down the sights of a water cooler)|
    • high suppressive force through sheer amount of bullets being fired
    • its a goddamn minigun
  • - Heavy cannot jump or sprint while holding it, has to switch back to primary
  • - lengthy equip-unequip time to balance such, no “pocket minigun” strats, choosing to use this mid-combat is a commitment, one that could get you killed.
  • - gun has to spool up for a second before firing, spool up being LOUD

personal opinion but I think others might agree, I hate the low effort that's put in 90% of the skins and the other 10% are some girly skins. Put some more effort in the skins, not just slap another pattern texture on them and call it a day. Hire external studios if you have to, but this whole season with a few exceptions has been mediocre skin after mediocre skin. I understand reusing assets is easier, but you cant ask for €20 for a skin that is just an old skin with rearranged assets, kneepad is on the other side and the color of the texture is changed.

The flamethrower is a bit overtuned. it's the best heavy weapon weapon at the moment, and doesn't feel good to go against. i have a few points on it.

  • It deals a high up front damage. if you get hit by just the first tick of damage, it's 30 dmg up front, and (im not entirely sure about the numbers) like 50 D.O.T. meaning 80 damage from just getting sneezed at.
  • It's quite hard to fight back, since the flame makes it harder to see your target. This is like a "Secret" buff, since it's hard to balance numbers around subjective measures, like how hard something is to see.
  • The "fire" rate is quite high, so it's 30 damage every 0.3 seconds or so (feels like that, i dont have the numbers). Which makes the DPS feel insanely high, when you factor in the native fire damage as well. so on paper, it looks weak, but the added 90-100 damage from being on fire means you will die from more than 1 second in the fire.
  • The speed at which a heavy runs with the flame thrower is quite fast. You dont really have the option to run away, since the heavy isn't that much slower than the medium normally, but when firing, the speed isn't reduced by a significant amount to make a change.

This all means that fighting a flame thrower is like the following. You spot the flame thrower, but have to go back to heal because you just got half HP'd from being in his range for 1/3 of a second. When you then go to fight him again, full hp. you try and fight him and get "blinded" by the flames, meaning you can't get perfect headshots that you need to win. Next time you try and only shoot him at range, but then when he gets in range, you run away. and you will most likely still die.

Im a good player, but i get "scared" when i have to fight a new player with a weapon they dont have to aim as much with. They nerfed the FCAR because it was too good in skilled players hands. Well, the flamethrower is too good in newbies AND skilled hands.

Shit, what flamethrower are you playing with? Flamer has the lowest consistent damage output of any weapon in the game at around 80 DPS, up to about 95 when factoring in the burn. Heavy is stuck at his same snail-pace speed when using it too so literally just walk backwards as any class but another heavy and you’re out of it because surprise, 7 meters is a tiny range too. Also, the burn from flamer is 30 damage over two seconds, I don’t know where the hell 90-100 came from

Literally every weapon in the game besides the sniper rifle comfortably beats flamer in a head to head DPS test, and very few of them are as badly gimped on range as flamer, so there’s never a “head to head” fight anyways, it’s just flamer heavy getting kited to death.. Respect heavies space and it’s really not that bad to deal with.

here's all the stickers listed https://thefinals.blog/stickers-the-finals/ there are a ton of inconsistencies in the designs which makes it recognizable that it's AI generated. Examples where it's super visible are: "Hoppy Easter" (check the ears for example), "Lil' Rusty" (generally the toes are super crooked and also general inconsistencies that make it visible that it's not drawn by a human) and "Goblin' up fate" where the torso looks very off, but also the dice is crooked and a lot of other smaller inconsistencies. I think most of the stickers that are available in-game (for actual money too) are AI generated which is an absolute bummer and super disrespectful towards all actual artists.

well, speaking in hyperbole, it's easy to make stuff sound not as bad. "just walk backward" doesn't work. even without firing. a medium walking backwards is slower than a heavy moving forwards. even while the heavy is shooting the flamethrower (you can test it in the practice range)

7 meters isn't tiny when it's over 60% of a house floor, or even 2 floors in height. so if the heavy isn't in the very corner of a building, he can cover the entirety of it.

The practice range dummies dont burn as long as contestants do, so i think that's where you are confused about the fire damage.

As i said in the original post. to beat a flame heavy, you need to hit mainly headshots, and not miss a bullet. given that takes a lot of skill normally, not factoring in the flame covering the target. and the heavy just has to fire and look in the general direction. the heavy can kill a medium with less than 8 of 30 uses of his flamer, but the medium has to hit half his clip to kill a heavy ( bodyshots ). and that test is even skewed towards medium, since im testing in the practice range, where the flamer doesn't do as much damage as in a real game, given the dummies only take 1 - 2 fire ticks of damage after you stop shooting.

if you just look at the numbers on a page, you wont know how it is in a game, since you can't put speed difference, DOT and visual impairment on paper. Lord it’s too early in the morning for this… no, medium walking backwards at worse matches heavy walking forwards, and if that’s too slow, sprint back instead. Flamer is insanely easy to kite between its short range and heavies slow speed. I would know, I use the damn thing.

Seven meters is tiny when it’s literally only covering half a room, that other half of the room is you beaming heavy down before they’re close enough to even hurt you, and at that point if you’re at any risk you just throw yourself out a window and reposition.

I’m not talking about practice range dummies, I’m talking about the afterburn on actual players. It’s 30 damage over two seconds, it’s downright pitiful damage.

A flamer heavy can walk up, start a fight, land their shots perfectly, and still lose to literally every medium and heavy gun through its sheer, disgusting lack of damage output, and even some light weapons will cause that fight to trade. Thats implying they ever let you get that close. A smart light will never get anywhere near a heavy the moment they know they have a flamer, and medium has just enough health to win those trades. These are not headshot damage fights, these are just “oh, there’s a flamer heavy, I’m gonna shoot them 20 times in the gut and win”. Flamer is not doing “less damage in practice mode” and even if it was, I am once again referring to ingame damage output.

I’m not looking at the numbers on the page, I am confirming both from the stats we know and personal experience that flamer is mediocre at best, and a modicum of respect towards flamer heavies is all they’d required to deal with them. And not even that considering how bad its damage is.

Guys, you really disbalanced whole game with buffing knives. All games since last week are polluted with Lights with swords, daggers and knives. Sword guys are cencelling animation and you can't do a thing even with full stack of good players. Playing ranked in diamond lobby is impossible, quick games are now ONLY lights. How did it happened?

Plus also make rating more enjoyable by not punishing team when someone left. It is not possible to win while you're alone against trios.

It would be cool if I could select the individual colors I want my enemy to have. Once every 2-3 games, the colors of the enemy look almost the same (pink, pink combined with orange, and orange, or dark green with light green) no matter which colorblind setting I choose. The colors sometimes just align with each other, and because I can't use good graphics, they also look foggy, which confuses the teams and ruins my games. Just let me pick red, green, and yellow by default.

That’s respectable, the idea is that 220 is only gonna be 220 real close up, I would want the spread on it to be pretty atrocious (think how wide M60 hipfire spread is). Light would have a lot of space to back up or get out of the way, or a warning they’re about to turn the corner into one by the loud rev-up. Past 10, even 5 meters, 220 dampens out to half pretty quick.

It definitely wouldn’t be 220 damage over all 200 bullets, at that point it wouldn’t be worth using for combat at all. I do want fighting with it to be an option, but I want it to be a worse weapon than heavies primaries unless your target is disrespecting the authority of a revved up minigun, in which they deserve to get swissed.

I don’t want this to become a “second primary” but I do want it to exist as a tool to force people to back off and respect heavies authority, or else.

I’m also considering an existing drain while holding out the minigun to keep you from just sitting there all day holding it, but I’m not sure about that one.

I raised this the whole 2nd season, nothing, 0 changes about the matchmaking. Solo players have been a trash and unfair season for ranked tournaments, totally the opposite for those who play as a team are diamonds, probably the easiest season for them. Congratz for doing nothing. I guess you dont want to change matchmaking in the middle of the season, but the season takes to much days, dont expect to play a whole season if the matchmaking for solo players is gonna be the same. Quit and that´s all, at least a full season expecting the next one about matchmaking changes.

Riot Shield
-Fix the visual bug of the shield obscuring your view when holding an object. Its been like this for multiple patches and reported in the bug channel.
-Let the riot shield either block melee attacks when the shield is up or take reduced damage. Sword and hammer attacks just pierce through it. Same can be said for the heavy's charge and slam.
-The shield is currently using the same logic as terrain when set on fire. Direct hits with a pyro grenade will continue burning the RS user until death whereas every other weapon will just be on fire for a few seconds.

-Remove the nerf that causes it to take damage when blocking a projectiles and just reduce the radius it protects instead. Also make a PSA that explains that damaging right outside the radius with an explosive weapon destroys it all the same. Grenade spam is infinitely worse for the health of the game. I get that it was intended to fix the common strat in powershift, but people are just rolling heavy now instead with barriers and dome shields.

This game needs fsr 3.1 fg and dlss 3.7
I suggest updating the game engine to 5.4 in a future patch, as well as updating all available upscaling solutions to newer versions like DLSS to 3.7.0, XeSS to 1.3, and FSR to 3.1 (when that version gets released in the upcoming few weeks). UE 5.4 brings more optimizations which make the performance better and that should improve the general game experience for people in combination with the updated better upscalers. Also, add DirectStorage api to improve loading, there are times where all players are stuck to a loading screen for the match due to singular users with slower machines, and DiSto can eliminate/lower that.

I think there are two main reasons why the user base has plummeted:

  1. Balance. The Finals is one of the most fun shooters you can play, but when you die for the 468723rd time because of the same cheesy strategy of the moment, it gets really tiring. RPG, CL40, Double Heavy with domes and shields (about 2500 health in total?), I mean... some plays are just ridiculous.

  2. Matchmaking. This is honestly the worst SoloQ experience I have ever had. It's becoming impossible to reach diamond when you have teammates with 2 brain cells and no mic, while I have to deal with 2 full-stack teams of diamond players communicating through discord. I don't know what the solution is here, but you can't play solo on above Plat1. So if your friends aren't playing the finals or aren't good, you're screwed. Maybe 2 different queues, one for solo players + duos, and one for trios.

Add a simpler mode like team death match, so new players can get used to the feel of the game without having to immediately learn the ropes in quick cash, which can be pretty complicated for a new player. I've had several friends that just didn't want to play after the first game because it was too confusing. I think making a gamemode like this would easily help to retain new players.

when i shoot a player with it to stick them, they can just run out the back and the goo stays stuck in the air blocking me from dealing any damage or hunting them down
this makes basically all combat applications of this useless and the only thing left to do is build a bunker (witch is terribly boring)

i understand that the old goo/player interaction was not good since it was possible to permanently trap someone

my suggestion would be to:

  • at least have the goo not stay floating in the air
  • but best make the goo apply a slow effect and not create a rigid foam if it hits a player. the slow could be indicated by a status effect "gooed" (like burning/EMPed) to have a visual indicator that the slow is applied.

this would mean that:

  • It is no longer possible to permanently trap a player
  • it is no longer possible to goo yourself up to block incoming damage
  • it is no longer possible to interrupt a cashout steal by blocking line of sight to the cashout by gooing up the stealing player
  • it is now possible for teammates to more easily damage gooed up enemy players

my suggestion for the "gooed" effect itself:

  • duration 2 seconds (possibly less) ( this need to be enough to swap from googun to another weapon (eg. sledgehammer/flamethrower/shotgun) and do some damage before the effect wears out
  • slow amount similar to stun gun

This is standard in almost every competitive game with an objective. You can go 30-0 and still have played poorly. The objective of the game isn’t to kill people it’s to collect cashouts. The ranking system is meant to rank how good you are at playing the game. if kills influenced your rank then you would have a ton of people just playing for kills and ignoring objectives. Kills shouldn’t matter in terms of ranked gain. But, kills obtained while defending cashouts should give more cash

Most nerf requests seem to be made out of anger from being killed by (insert class/weapon/gadget) I don’t think nerfing anything will make the game more fun. Furthermore, I don’t think the players asking for nerfs will ever be satisfied. Whatever you nerf they’ll want it nerfed more and set their sights on another item to grumble about.

Adding more variety and buffing what is weak should be more enjoyable than catering to a vocal minority.

Here is reasoning for every stat on why tracking them does not work. And why competitive games almost ALWAYS avoid doing this.

Damage/kills: encourages shooting everything you see for a rank up even though it’s very common for the best choice to win the game to be ignoring certain teams

Deposits: Certain classes are better at depositing than others. Often has nothing to do with skill. And will lead to teammates fighting over who gets to deposit the vault

KDA: Will encourage running away from every fight to preserve KDA after getting a few kills. Even if the fight is winnable but the risk to KDA isn’t worth losing ranked points. This also punishes medium with a support focused build

Healing: incredibly easy to cheese. Stand in gas and heal each other for free rank up. Or intentionally take damage from other players and heal each other.

Assists: obviously if kills shouldn’t count then assists shouldn’t either. I don’t think it’s hard to understand why.

Steals: will lead to farming steals with other teams to boost rank as well as intentionally letting other people put the vault in just so you can steal it from them.

And why should wins count? Because it is the only thing that cannot be cheesed and you have control over. You are the common denominator in every match you play and your rank will average out over many matches to reflect what you deserve. Almost every competitive game does this so that people cannot game the system. The actual issue with ranked is that wins sometimes aren’t in your control at all. 3rd partying meta and multiple teams in general is extremely punishing to people who are actually playing the objective. It’s also very common to be griefed in ranked. That needs to be changed, not the criteria for ranking up

Lower rpgs damage to around 50-70 and give it two shots. Give a delay to mesh shield so you can’t open it instantly. Replace the healing beam with a healing circle that you place down like the aps. Also add healing bombs. Replace turret with a manual turret instead of a automatic one. Make it so you have to turn off cloak before you can do anything else like shooting. Replace the stun gun with a aps type gadget that stuns people like before the nerf if you’re in its circle. Make it so you can cancel a defib revive by shooting the silhouette it makes and make glitch grenades cancel it too. Allow lights to have faster regen. Make the grapple better too.

This is all true, but it holds even for 3rd partying and griefing. Sometimes you are the one who third parties, sometimes you're the one getting third partied. In the long run, the better players will tend to win more.

The problem is that players often cannot play that many matches, or that players are emotionally invested in each individual match, which leads to the unfun games leaving a big impression. I partially blame the cashout format itself for this, since the match is basically decided by like 4 team fights (so a negative experience is likely to have had a big impact).

It's obviously based on where the platform is at the time, but its way too early on facing you towards the hospital on the skyway stadium map. Please fix the XP progress bar when you are max level. It's one thing where it doesn't show you the earned xp, it's another that it also doesn't show you unlocked BP items if you only unlock with match XP. Kind of ruins that fun.

BUFF THE RIOT SHIELD:
Here's some suggestions, I know all of these together would make the shield pretty strong but even 1 or 2 would be enough to improve it so much!:

  • While blocking movement speed should be the same as walking (increasing block movement speed would help a lot in pushing and giving your teammates support)
  • Increase swing speed (Honestly a lot issues would be solve with this, the weapon lacks a good ttk)
  • Increase damage from 84 to 90
  • Electrify the baton and give it a glitch effect, when you hit somebody they're glitched for 2,5 sec (This would give the shield so much utility and would help the team greatly, making it a viable options)

FIX THE FOV WHEN HOLDING THE SHIELD UP:

  • Remove the fov zoom when you hold your shield up (it's very annoying that when you block the screen zooms in, either remove it or add the option to choose between affected or indipendent fov while aiming)

HOLDING THE DAGGER BACKSTAB:

  • Make it so you can hold the backstab and it's not a forced animation, revert it like it was in the Open Beta

GIVE SMOKE GRENADES TO ALL CLASSES:

  • Give smoke grenade to all classes! It would open so many possibilities! I would use smoke so much if it was on medium, on the other hand i've barely seen any Light using smoke, especially when they have better gadgets to choose from

I just don’t think it should be a attack weapon where shooting people is the main use. It should mainly be a destruction tool with low damage. To not make c4 pointless I think they should give it two charges again and perhaps it should have a bigger destruction area and it could do more damage since it doesn’t have extreme range. There's one change to the finals I've wanted since launch so I'm going to put it here.

So when it comes to the show being a game show, I think that's one of the strongest suits of this games presentations, but one of the biggest part of any game show are it's teams, and I don't feel the teams get the same love in the finals.

I think all of the teams are very unique, but I think a cool optional setting you could choose could let each team have their own unique color instead of randomly getting selected to yellow, pink, ect.

For instance, with this setting turned on, the tough shells could be green, the vogues could be purple, the overdogs could be grown, and ect.

This setting would also be able to change the color of your own team, so if you were on the tough shells, you'd be green instead of blue.

I think it'd be very important to make sure this setting is optional, as players who want to keep the visual clarity of the colors right now should be allowed to have that option.

Thing with Lights, is, they are impossible to balance for Ranked and Casual play, in terms of just buffing weapons and such. People playing ranked tell they need buffs, yet it isn't rare sight to see Lights go near, or over 30 kills in a casual match. The thing is, Light is fine, people just suck with it. IF it gets overtuned (it needs to keep high skill ceiling), that people with no skill can wreck shit, it will kill casual play. Already, I played three PS matches today (all I could stomach), there was more Lights in them, than other classes. Light is fine, people just suck with it, it didn't need "its ok now for ranked" buff, since you can't balance it for both, and casual play is where the devs focus should be. Devs need to think other way to balance them so that they are appealing pick for Ranked, the portals wasn't it. EDIT: Also fix your player not being at the middle with start/end cinematics, I hope that was un-intentional, since you didn't revert that change with latest patch...

Replace turret with a manual turret instead of a automatic one. Make it so you have to turn off cloak before you can do anything else like shooting. Replace the stun gun with a aps type gadget that stuns people like before the nerf if you’re in its circle. Make it so you can cancel a defib revive by shooting the silhouette it makes and make glitch grenades cancel it too. Allow lights to have faster regen. Make the grapple better too.

I think balancing everything based on new / unskilled players is not the play. The reason they complain is because they're not evenly matched and teams don't work together in casual play as you have a constant cycle of individual players coming and going during a match. If you look in evenly matched play (ranked) it becomes apparent which weapons are the strongest when skill levels are even and teams are working together.

Theres got to be a better solution that makes it easier for new players but doesnt punish those that have put the time in to get better. If ranked didn't exist I would have quit long ago because it got to the point were casuals were too easy... grinders get bored and move on so the competition never levels.

Honestly its easier for me to drop 20-30 as a M or H than as a sniper. People just get mad when they get sniped. If I wanted to take a break to chill from ranked and play pubs and everything I took the time to master was bubble wrapped I'd get in the habbit of closing the game and invest in something else.

Hi we finally decided to make the right decisions to keep the game alive and in a good state, here are the patch notes:

  • Removed SNIPERS from the game.
    Dev Note: We felt like snipers weren't supposed to be in this game from the start, it's a more action oriented close combat scenarios type of game, players had to constantly hide into unknown destructible places to hide while we had structures made for verticality and ambushes that were being used as a place to see everyone that was on the map by players playing the SNIPER, in an open space game with huge distances and a more varied combat it made sense but in this case it just made things worse.

  • Removed all of the MELEE WEAPONS except for HEAVY
    Dev Note: A huge swept to the arsenal but for good reasons, a bunch of weapons were already the worst choice based on the alternatives present for the different classes that were more useful for a more coop type of gameplay without the need of being in a team. The LIGHT class was unbalanced in offensive and defensive capabilities with these weapons because of it's fragility and general velocity, the medium on the other hand was not working well with how the class was designed and it was picked far less compared to other options (also quick note we couldn't really figure out a way to make the shield hitbox scan and hitbox registration really work).
    On the other hand for the HEAVY class we thought that thanks to it's general clunkiness and need for a far more tactical approach to close distances the HAMMER was there to stay and differentiate the class more from the others.
    We will open refunds also for these skins.

  • Rebalanced and abilities and gadgets to make more sense with the classes
    Dev Note: Removed Invisibility because we couldn't figure out a way to make it work with the last update and we just broke it completely. Removed the tracking dart and gave LIGHTS something that made more sense with the class.

  • Finished text space, see you at the next one

This has been a very disappointing season. What I thought would be promising for THE FINALS, had a good start with notable features, but the middle and end just failed with its bad updates. That's not excusing the beginning. I know Embark can do this, and that's why I'm still not gonna hard quit the game, but before Embark proceeds, I feel like they need to keep hold of some key things that is holding the game back so much.

BALANCING.

Balancing has been THE FINALS' number one issue since Closed Beta. A lot of us veteran players gave THE FINALS a chance given that it had three betas to fix how the three classes were balanced, and even to this day, things still feel the same at its core. Even with good weapon, specialization and gadget nerfs, everything just falls flat.

LIGHT IS UNDERPOWERED.

The one class that just can't catch a break. Never caught a break. A butchered class that is only good for having fun in casual play. It was bad in Season 1, and with the introduction of gateway in Season 2, it managed to work in a comp. It's a class that has been complained about with its overpowered things such as throwing knives, cloak and vanish, stun gun, glitch grenades (specifically the 10 sec > 5 sec), glitch barrels being introduced, and sure, they needed its nerfs as it's annoying and unfun to play against especially on a casual note, but you must be prepared to give its compensations that would make still make it competitively viable. I follow a content creator who just softquitted the game because of disappointing changes such as 2.6. It was always the class that just sucked compared to medium and heavy. Sure, you can make it work, but going to comps like triple medium, medium medium heavy, or medium heavy heavy was often the safer and overall better bet for running ranked play.

MEDIUM IS STALE.

How stale is this class going to get? Model is in a good place, riot shield is in a somewhat okay place with melee now being able to hit multiple targets at once, AK and FCAR are inferior to their heavy counterparts, and in the likes of what is ran in a competitive scene, double mobility has become the only meta option. There lacks variety in the likes of medium. Turrets and Dematerializer need to be up to par with the likes of the Healing Beam. You nerfed APS, which was very much viable in ranked, and was only nerfed because it was a terror in Power Shift, making people safe from projectiles while moving the platform. APS has no place in ranked, as it will not protect you for an extended period of time during the duration of a sweaty and daunting cashout defense. It wasn't even that good in the eyes of the highest level players. Explosive and gas mines nowadays are a niche pick, only working in certain scenarios. Medium also lacks a good amount of firepower compared to the other two classes, relying too much on support for its team.

HEAVY IS OVERPOWERED.

This is something that needs no introduction. It's been overpowered since Alpha. You've nerfed C4s, its mesh shield, SA1216, RPG, barricade (in its own way), and yet, it still wasn't enough. Heavy didn't feel nerfed, and that's the biggest issue. It's still strong, and the reason being is because light and medium are just not strong enough compared to heavy. Overall, light lacks proper survivability, and medium is not capable DPS-wise to compete with the likes of heavy. Heavy is a must-run in the likes of ranked, and double heavy medium is the overall best choice for top teams.

The funny part is that they kill at the same speed as the smgs. The real issue with them is that there’s very poor visual feedback for when they’re being thrown at you. So it feels frustrating to take damage. Which is probably why so many people think they’re op. They’re not op at all

CONTINUATION FROM BEFORE.

TOO MANY NERFS, NOT ENOUGH BUFFS.

You've nerfed so many things like APS, the majority of the light loadout, the revolver, and not enough buffs from other weapons and gadgets, ultimately making the game stale. It's not fun to run just one or two things on a higher level. I've been waiting to see buffs from truly underpowered weapons such as Data Reshaper, FAMAS, SH1900 (while straying away from its stupidly overpowered roots), 93R, Sonar Grenade, Smoke Grenade, Demateralizer, Guardian Turret, Grapppling Hook, Thermal Vision, MGL-32, Pyro Mine, Motion Sensor. I could go on with the list. I want to see the roster of weapons, specializations and gadgets feel more lively, not in a stale place.

HORRIBLE BUFFS THAT DESTROY THE META.

Throwing Knives have unlimited ammo. They overthrow the sword and the M11, also closed ranged weapons, in terms of sheer damage and TTK. It has the best damage in one burst with its right click. Who thought this was a good idea to buff it to extremities?

AMOUNT OF CHEESE.

Charge N' Slam and RPG are known to be cheesy for requiring minimal effort and taking away a chunk of an enemy's health in the likes of a very high-TTK game. When a game has a high TTK and typically takes a good degree of skill such as good tracking to eliminate a player, cheese shouldn't be allowed in the mix.

RANKED SYSTEM IS HORRIBLE.

We don't want arrows to go up or down when we do well or bad in a tournament. That's not what we're here for. We want to see a percentage of our progress to the next rank. At the highest level, in top 500, I know some players who have played for HOURS (one content creator I know went from #39 to #399 of consistent gameplay in the span of 8 hours and softquitted because of it), and got garbage. Last season, it was just a matter of how much time you put into the game. The reasons why I don't grind leaderboards. The only reason I got top 200 from Closed Beta 2 is because from the sheer amount of time I helped friends get to Diamond.

CATERING TO BOTH CASUAL AND COMPETITIVE PLAYERS.

The FINALS Community is too divided. Unranked Tournament was a true gateway for casual players to feel like they're playing in a tournament, sweating to a certain extent so they may make it to ranked one day. I ENJOYED solo-queueing unranked and it was good fun. We've seen a separation between casual and competitive players, but the removal of unranked was not the reason why. You need to find that balance and cater to both the casual and competitive players at the same time.

CUSTOM GAMES ARE BLAND.

It just lacks a certain amount of customization. Not being able to pick the weather, modifier or time of day, not banning random events or certain random events, no tournaments, I haven't checked this part too recently but I do hope you're able to pick and assign your teammates.

NEW WEAPONS, GADGETS AND SPECIALIZATIONS ARE UNINTERESTING.

I know this should be in the balancing part of my feedback, but holy, the 93R is so bad that I had to give it its own category. It's inferior in every way to its light counterparts. Fire rate, magazine size, range, TTK, etc etc etc etc. FAMAS is the worst of the three medium ARs, and KS-23 has no place in competing against SA1216. Data Reshaper even with its buff is a joke. I even memed with it saying "HEY LOOK BRO! MAGIC!" with a friend of mine who plays the game for fun. Anti-Gravity cube doesn't deserve to be niche. Dematerializer while an adequate idea lacks its proper buffs. The best of them all is Gateway, that's the exception here.

So yeah, got the rest of the feedback off my chest. I want to see you guys step it up a notch or two in Season 3, and address the problems at hand. People I know who swore they were dedicated to the game ended up softquitting potentially at least until Season 3, and I too, am taking a break. I have no reason to play THE FINALS right now, and I've been playing since Closed Beta 1.

If I see all the lights in my lobbies being useless with KDs like 1-7, 2-10, etc. and now theyre top fragging lobbies then something is up. it's not like they grew a few brain cells and improved their skill overnight.

my opinion on the TKs is based on my own experience playing WITH them. I feel like they're easy to hit and I would drop 30 bombs in a single round, more than I would using the m11 or xp54. and the only other weapon that can kill me is another TK user.

sure they have a range limit, but at mid range there is no severe damage drop off unlike the smgs. plus you can just put yourself in a close position with all the different mobility options to shred up-close. anyone playing long range on purpose unless its a sniper or lh1 doesn't know what they're doing.

yeah and the TKs punish people that are already damaged with its burst damage. I would end up in team fights where the whole lobby is at one cashout and I dash everywhere and spam INFINITE knives and clean up the whole lobby as they all fight.

I've been noticing this a lot, and me and at least two other personal communities for THE FINALS have mutually agreed with this, too. The lack of testing is apparent from bad changes and updates especially to the balancing of the game. I want Embark to put more time into testing their game in order to accurate address issues in the game more.

Either matchmaking or the ELO system is bad and based on faulty assumptions. Anywhere in plat, it's almost guaranteed to have a triple-stacked Diamond team on the ranked roster. Either the matchmaking system is bad for putting them in a lobby that's a double digit percentage of the playerbase worse than them, or the ELO system is bad for rewarding them winning.

Some small QoL I would like:

The ability to visualize stats per mode, would be REALLY fun.

I would like to know my K/D and W/L, per example, in Terminal Attack, without the K/D from other modes affecting it, just for fun.

Speaking of stats, would like to see more average stats, and the trend on the last 10/50 games?

Ability to see the stats of the LAST GAME, from the home screen/lobby.

Improved visibility for teammate’s nametags, and the ability to customize them? (Text color, shadow color, size).

A different color for our group nametags to separate them from other teammates.

Looking forward to upcoming updates to private matches too!

Just to give some constructive criticism related to throwing daggers, idk if I'd say they're OP but it is a bit crazy they are effectively infinite. A light can just prioritize dodging and once you have to reload you're basically screwed. It also makes them punishing shields zero cost for them (shooting shields and forcing people to reload is one of the primary benefits of shield). I think it should at some point run out and require them to recharge or maybe do less damage to shields

tk buff was a good start for lights. xp is in a good place. m11 is viable. lh1 is a high skill floor option that's great. now that light is more viable in casual play, it immediately becomes less so due to player choices, though. every game I play theres a medium with grenade launcher on every team. that being able to one shot a light with absolutely no way to outplay it is a terrible feeling when there's one around every corner. light has SO much potential to be a good class, but when the entire lobby is making their entire loadout choice to nullify you? I'm not having fun anymore. Light needs to have some answer to all other classes having a way to instantly delete them. we need at least a split second to react once an engagement starts. options here would be to give even the slightest health buff, reduce grenade launcher and rpg damage. etc

I do play rank. not to gloat because I feel like ranks dont matter, but I reach diamond in each season and manage to be top 30-40 in the betas. I play competitively in games; mostly in TF2 and other arena based games, so I'm not a shitter just complaining or anything.

so then the argument would be 'should the game be balanced for casuals or rank?' seeing how rank is dead and the majority of players are casual-based. it's the best interest for the devs to balance the game based on the casual experience for player retention and $. Dead by Daylight is a perfect example of this phenomenon.

Ranked bars let you know when you're being promoted by the badge being shiny and when you're about to be demoted when your badge is glitching out. It's all about winning streak this season not about how much you play. Getting to the final consecutively gets you promoted, pretty simple.

They did buff the throwing knives too much, agreed, so they just need to meet halfway between this buff and the OG knives to fix it.

Unranked tourney required no skill because everyone just quit half the time or I'd spawn in with no teammates, overall not good enough. It was too easy to win as well.

APS was balanced with the exception of its viability of Power Shift. It lacked radius, but more than maked up for it by deflecting any projectile from all three classes. It was good against double heavy teams especially in the final round of ranked. It was a perfect tool to hold down cashouts for long periods of time in the likes of a ranked setting, where everyone is at least a decent player. People can just shoot down the APS turrets to destroy it, not butcher it with just a three projectile limit.

In a ranked setting where projectile spam is consistent and accurate, APS is good for the meta and a notable alternative from double mobility for medium, but its small radius makes it fall behind the likes of double mobility overall. Top players have said that it isn't even good because of said radius limit.

If healing beam and revives were banned from the likes of Terminal Attack, then APS should be banned in Power Shift.

Disagree with your take on unranked tourney. I had none of the problems you mentioned about it.

I heard a teammate say that this game is too much based on luck to be fully competitive and as I thought about that I somewhat agree. I think ever since we got rid of recon (which is good) it's luck-based as to whether you get a team pushing your cashout or not since it's their choice. You only fight a portion of the 3 other teams for an entire round unless the timing is off and people double or everyone forgets about one vault. It might be a good idea to show a numbered indicator as to how many teams are within a certain vicinity of a vault or a cashout lessen that a bit. Thoughts? I had one round (very rare) where our team had 0 combat score and we still got 2 full cashouts.

Playing anything non-ranked is just players avoiding objectives because there are no stakes and everyone is just farming sniper contracts. Lower rpgs damage. Give a delay to mesh shield so you can’t open it instantly. Replace the healing beam with a healing circle that you place down like the aps. Also add healing bombs. Replace turret with a manual turret instead of a automatic one. Rework cloak into a stealth only ability. Replace the stun gun with a aps type gadget that stuns people like before the nerf if you’re in its circle. Make it so you can cancel a defib revive by shooting the silhouette it makes and make glitch grenades cancel it too. Allow lights to have faster regen. Make the grapple better too.

#1: Enemy suicides should count as kills for the person who dealt the most damage. For instance, if you get a heavy low and he rpgs himself or falls off THe map, you should get credit for the kill.

#2: Assists should still be awarded even after death. Currently, if your teammate kills someone you damaged before you died, you do not get an assist if you are dead.

Goo and destruction are both now broken. Goo doesn't stop player who are moving and sometimes doesn't even stop players who are standing still from starting to move.

servers have felt like absolute garbage for months, the entire server just freezes for a second almost every game, then I play ranked because im bored and it's by and large the worst experience in the game. ping is presumably so high I can't hit anything, getting constant no reg, on top of being matched with unranked as gold 4, I understand this is because of the tiny ass player base but holy shit. Can we nerf the dagger? Dying in one hit repeatedly is really irritating.

Every lobby I am in with a dagger, the player top frags the whole lobby. I play casually. Dying in one hit because a light is dashing around you is not a fun experience.

This was not an issue before the buff to Melee weapons. You can say it is one of the worst weapons in the game, you can say I am bad. But if the player with the dagger is getting 20+ kills, and the rest of the lobby is getting maybe 10? That doesn't seem balanced to me.

And he had "i have 200HP more than you" advantage, that's the whole point of trading mobility for health, to be able to withstand a 1v1 just by having more health.

You did not appear out of "nowhere" and you didnt make him "panic". You started shooting at the guy from a pretty long distance and he was literally facing and going towards the building you were standing on, the guy prob saw you being there (unless he's stupid or plays at like 50FOV) and was well aware of where you are.

All you had to do in this situation was to just jump beside/behind him (and maybe not just stand there ADSing since M11 can be comfortably hipfired from that range) and you'd kill the guy just because he'd need additional time to turn around to face you.

Missing Features I would love to see:

  • Solo Matchmaking. This is really important! Going solo with randoms against full premade is like running against a metal wall. "Go to LFG-Channel" is not a fitting answer for this. There are lot of people that hate to socialize and just want to play the game on a fair base.
  • More Ingame-Events, Always seeing Low Gravity is getting boring
  • A lot more Gadgets/Specializations <-- Or even better, make Variations possible for existing Specializations. Example would be Healing Gun can be varied to: chain-heal ( + 1 Link, Less Recovery Rate) for group play or dart-heal ( dartgun for heals which heal more or instant(?) ) or healing box ( throwable zone heal which can be destroyed or runs out of time ) => This would fuse Dome Shield and Spec Shield.
  • More Customization for Faces/Hairs ( BEARDS!!! ), More Body Types like Fit/Normal/Fat Body ( i know this generates more work for the 3d artists... )
  • Long-Term Goals that we can work towards too. Circuit was a nice idea but most of it is doable in 4 to 5 matches... People need things to do to be kept interested.

Heavy class should purely be tank, destruction and utility providing shields and useful util for teammates and using destruction to manipulate cashouts to give advantageous positions, rpg's purpose should also be for the same, right now heavy is everything and dominantly better than every other class, RPG is an extremely crutch util and forcefully finishes fights, HHM is the most boring meta ever and I dont understand why you're not doing anything about it. This game always presented itself as a rock paper scissor type system that intrigued most players at the start but Heavy is just overly dominating in every fight in every range, Light should counter heavy, heavy should counter medium and medium should counter light, this is how the balancing should be. Healing and Shields meta is extremely boring but it is the most powerful. Heavy should never be dps but they are with lewis and m60 being so powerful. Recoil nerfs only make the guns unfun to play but doesnt change its effectiveness in the hands of good players.

sniper and spy in TF2 has this exact same issue. the classes are insanely good at picking off classes in the right hands, but you would see 4 spies and 6 snipers on your team that are completely bad and doing jack shit.

yes the throwing knives were bad and nobody used them. now they're overtuned. if the left click kills in the same amount of hits as the right click then something is wrong lol. the damage needs to be reverted and keep the speed buff.

the class requires a little more brain power and need to learn movement, positioning, and game sense, which these people dont have due to their brains rotting from tiktok.

I think the damage should remain the same on the throwing knife, it's the fast fire rate which makes it a brainless spam weapon, I like weapons that are high risk high reward. Throwing Knife at the moment is low risk high reward for how missed shots are hardly punished, since you can spam to your hearts content, I think they should reduce the firerate, remove projectile spread, and give the secondary attack a buff that lets you hold the charge.

I love this game, I loved Light since day 1. But the recent light buffs made it just annoying to play it. Everybody runs around with fucking OP throwing knives and its just so much less fun now tbh. Back then it was a balanced amount of mid heavy and light.. now its 85% light or at least it feels that way. and out of those 85% around 90% run around with knives just 1shotting everybody

The UI elements while in a match are pushed out to the sides on 21:9 ultrawide monitors, but on the main menu they are constrained to 16:9. I would love it if I could use a toggle that positioned the match UI like healthbars and equipment in toward the center to fit the confines of a 16:9 layout as well so that I can choose to crop in on my 21:9 gameplay clips without having random bits being cut off on the sides of a 16:9 crop.

Thats for sure, but in high tier rank nobody uses It, the heavy/medium meta Is so strong also because of their health, i think devs has to ways to solve this problem:

  1. Increasing the dmg output of the light class, at least for having a Surprise kill for starting a fight.
  2. Increasing the light class health pool and decreasing the heavy health, or at least giving some kind of damage (like Fire, gas and explosions) a proportional damage output, like 30% of the health of every class.

One game mode idea called cash box frenzy where many cash boxes will appear around the map and there one cash out station. The team who put the cash box in first before the other teams gets the money and the other teams are able to steal that money by putting a cash box that they own over it. Sometimes, the cash out station will teleport to an another location every minute. The money will stack up overtime with the money being transferred many times and the team who owns the station at the end wins. One event idea I have is where everyone is invisible and it takes that way the whole event and it works the same way as cloaking device as where you attack or interact with something like gadgets you become visible for few seconds. This will be nice for a quick steal in cash out/quick cash.

Hi! By far my favourite FPS and imo best FTP game out, Thank you!
1.Now OCE ranked players are feeling the pain atm, I know we aren’t the biggest demographic but being forced to play competitive games on high ping/asia servers does make it feel like a uphill/unfair battle, ontop of the normal placement grind. If there was some acknowledgment of that and exploration into maybe a blend of Asia/OCE servers under “automatic” or “Australasia” that allocated the client/player into the the server with the lowest ping I think it would have a positive outcome. I believe that so many players queue up for a game for 2-5min in OCE and then go swap to Asia and play it there never to think about trying OCE again. There has been a smaller community that is currently trying to organise times for everyone to jump on and try get a the OCE Servers started. But I fear it’s too late. I think an auto/blended OCE and asia server would eliminate that problem as off peak time the client is sent to a further server and on peak they would be able to get low ping closer servers.

  1. More details/stats on career, weap dmg/kills?

  2. Updated information on skins/stickers: what event it was unlocked from or season and/or how it was unlocked.

The Guardian Turret, the worst specialization in the game.

The Guardian Turret is such a specialization where it is easily countered and weak when not countered when faced by players with even a small amount of experience in dealing with them, being a worse area denial tool than gadgets such as barricades, goo grenades and mines of various sorts. The Guardian Turret is in such a state where it is horrible when used on it's own and simply not worth the specialization slot or toxic when used in groups and there is little that can be done about this in it's current state because of the possibility of turret spam, there's two ideas that come to mind however.

The First idea is reducing it's health to 180 from 280 and reducing it's damage per second from 40 to around 30 and turning it into a gadget allowing it to be used in conjunction with the Demat Specialization for superior control over an area with players dropping the turret down a floor or dropping players into it, or just maneuvering around the structure with the turret watching an area.

The second idea is to improve it's 'area defense capabilities' with utilitarian means which has two routes I can think of-

Route 1; From Guardian Turret to Guardian Station- Allowing the Guardian Turret to create a weaker (probably around 100-150 shielding compared to the dome shield's 350) dome shield that activates when the turret is fully activated, the shield recharging after 4 seconds of the turret not being engaged in combat. However the Guardian Turret shields will deactivate the shields of other Guardian turrets when placed too close together to prevent an awful turret stacking meta.

Route 2; Detection on the Turret- Either releasing a 10m area of effect sonar ping when it first engages a target to alert it's owner of the enemy's positions more precisely or applying a 4 second tracking dart effect to help the team locate enemies within their area of operation and more appropriately respond to the threats.

Day 81 of me begging the devs to give heavy an M134 Minigun as a Specialization.

  • 200 Round magazine, ammo is restored two bullets every second, 100 seconds for a full reload.
  • 20 rounds per second, eleven damage a round, 220 DPS. No headshot modifier to keep DPS from becoming insane.
  • Falloff begins at 30 meters down to six damage a shot at 50, but wide spread means the weapon becomes less effective past 10 meters even against larger targets, you’re probably not getting higher than 150 DPS even as far as 10 meters.
  • bullets do high damage to structures (should be breaking walls in 20-50 shots) allowing a mid-range option to output mass destruction (destroying entire walls on higher floors of buildings, ripping apart nesting sightlines)
    • significant damage to structures and players
    • gun can be pre-spooled with RMB over having an ADS (for obvious reasons, you try to aim down the sights of a water cooler)|
    • high suppressive force through sheer amount of bullets being fired
    • its a goddamn minigun
  • - Heavy cannot jump or sprint while holding it, has to switch back to primary
  • - lengthy equip-unequip time to balance such, no “pocket minigun” strats, choosing to use this mid-combat is a commitment, one that could get you killed.
  • - gun has to spool up for a second before firing, spool up being LOUD

Please rework the seoul map. When the cashout is in the hospital and the bridge is destroyed. You'll have the worst spawn points ever because two teams will spawn essentially next to each other trying to fight their way to the hospital. It's a huge choking point with no cover and the defnders have a the high ground already with low risks. On top of that the map variation High Rise makes this map even worse as the choking points will be ten times worse. The map is too oppresssive and feels and small. You'll spawn next to the enemies without a chance to even breath and asses the situation....

Yes at least ads strafe speed is very slow. If you want to strafe faster(can't ads so can't win a 1v1 no ads required weapon) or dodging fast (changing direction to left or right but you can't aim at enemies), you are merely delaying your inevitable death facing an infinite ammo weapon.

Heavy class needs to become more skill based. Its so stupid when they dont hit one shot with their huge mag, showing how bad that are to begin with... BUT IT DOESNT MATTER. They just charge your ass, or rpg. The class is just horribly busted its insane.

even without the movement delay. Changing directions in this game is slow, the target slow down /speed up while changing directions, unlike other games like overwatch where u start at max strafing speed every time u change directions. Making short strafes impossible to track accurately.

But y the movement delay is awful in this game. Makes playing around cover feel like driving a truck. Either by peeking with crouch on headglitch or on a corner with AD it feels way to slow and you can't poke/abuse cover like in other games.

More responsive movement/ faster direction changes would be really good for this game. Not making movement faster, but more responsive overall and higher skill gap

Barely anyone mentioned before that they're charging actual money for generated images (stickers you can put on your weapons). Please do better embark, generative AI steals from artists, please commission artists for your in-game stickers that you're charging actual money for. I'm not understanding why they are decreasing the characteristics of the game to make it less frenetic, they removed the sonar, because almost no one other than a 200 IQ being can use it anymore, they added physics to the objects, when there is a deposit in the air, being light or sometimes medium there is no way to destroy the floor of the structures since only the propane tank requires much more time and skill to calculate the blow to the structure,
If we compare Sombra (OW2) and its invisibility, it is designed to be so, since being light it should have opportunities to annoy and not just make kills, you have EMP grenades, why reduce the shield if you already have 4 counters for the shield that you disable instantly.

Charge'n'slam is bullshit. It deals too much damage, can damage you three times in a row without a chance to dodge it because of the knockback lock, and, moreover, Heavy can jump and deal UNAVOIDABLE AoE. All of this with one press of a button. And also, in one fight Heavy used it THREE TIMES one after another on cooldown. Why the hell such a powerful ability have so low cooldown and takes so little skill to be impactful in any fight? It HAS to be nerfed. It is unfun to play against, especially if you use melee weapons.

I uninstalled - the knives change has just tipped the game back into something that's not for me.
The GL spam is a bit tedious, but at least you can hear where it's coming from, and doesn't delete over half your HP without any sort of telegraphing - I thought it would be patched - it was not, I'm not going to play like this for another week - hope it changes, if not, good luck in S3 I guess.

lot's to cover and not tons of characters to use: HP: Lights: 150->175, Heavies 350->325, reduce dmg on utility greatly if lights do not get health buff and mildly if they do, Weapons/TTK: Throw mediums a bone, they have no shot against lights or heavies without getting the jump on them AND hitting perfect shots, not realistic in this game, even within the top players in the community, mediums are glorified heal bots rn and need some tlc. On the topic of weapons, heavies shouldn't be the healthiest, most defensive, and have some of the best and easiest use weapons in the game, its chronically imbalanced and needs to be adjusted. Lights getting an adjusted grapple would be nice, allow them to have more precise control and release whenever they'd like conserving momentum, could also add in a grapple gun equipment that function as current grapple does with reduced range and higher CD. Mediums need an Overhaul, feels like you're throwing if you do hardly anything beside heal bot, not much of our equipment outside of defib and movement is usable currently(this does not mean that these are overtuned...it means the rest is largely useless and undertuned currently), and while dematerializer was a much needed add for the medium class, it desperately needs a bit of a buff, quicker recharge or more base uses. Heavies, a chronic stain of ease of play and state of being overtuned has made me despise this class. Most health, best and most versatile kit of weapons and equipments, and to top it all off their only debuff is "speed" and "lack of mobility" which would matter if they couldn't bunker down so well OR use the goo stun on the goo gun to completely invalidate any kind of counterplay against them and then mow you down at their leisure. Goo stun isn't fun and isn't something that heavies need access to in their kits. Overall, close the health gap, and close the TTK gap, nerf utility as a whole, doesn't need to be this strong, and throw mediums a bone, its painal out here rn.

Lower rpgs damage. Give a delay to mesh shield so you can’t open it instantly. Replace the healing beam with a healing circle that you place down like the aps. Also add healing bombs. Replace turret with a manual turret instead of a automatic one. Rework cloak into a stealth only ability. Replace the stun gun with a aps type gadget that stuns people like before the nerf if you’re in its circle. Make it so you can cancel a defib revive by shooting the silhouette it makes and make glitch grenades cancel it too. Allow lights to have faster regen. Make the grapple better too.

Please fix fill in matchmaking (or whatever it’s called) for when people leave the game bc both of my teammates left and it took till near mid game for me to get one teammate back to help me. We won in the end but it still annoying.

Let's level the realness and reduce the pointless grandstanding a bit here. A single sentence on how I think his ideas are bad doesn't hurt you. At the end of the day both his reply and mine are just a clashing of ideas on game balance regardless of how those opinions are represented. Writing a manifesto of your psychoanalysis assessment based on a total of 9 words is also unproductive. If you want me to give my full take on why I don't agree and elaborate my points in order to be more productive in the discussion of game balance, then just say so, but don't expect your preaching of "reflection" to suddenly humble me. This is not cinema and this isn't Twitter.

The reason I claimed your take ( @muted ice ) was a beg fest is because you admitted yourself you despised heavies due to previous history you had with facing them, but ignore the current bugs that make some of your points pretty out of touch with all things considered.

in particular, the changes you listed heavily favors balance in terms of lights and negatively towards heavies. While heavies are strong in the meta I don't think the HP value is really relevant as lights can pick off heavies with a really low ttk regardless. However I do think Lights can be bumped a bit as they are very squishy. Even then, I don't like that idea works very well in practice unless dash gets tuned a bit as lights can effectively get out of any situation and abuse its extremely low cooldown. That combined with the fact that goo is completely glitched out and broken right now to the point where lights can effectively dash out of goo, I think the take overall is pretty bad. Goo would have to be fixed in many ways for a nerf towards the gadget to be fair. Mediums I pretty much agree with but that wasn't my original focus when I read your feedback.

They nerfed the Data Reshaper, instead of turning Explosive canisters into gas canisters and back to gas, it turns it into smoke, WTH TheFinals, Goo turned into smoke and vice versa, now explosive turns into smoke? Now it's completely useless

Heavies are more than just strong they are the meta in every which way right now and need a lot of tuning to be even remotely okay within the current meta, too tanky, too much killing power, and they possess too many counters that negate all their negatives, nerfing heavies is absolutely called for and has been for a while. edit: @quick coyote i just think that if the HP ranges were closer they could feel more comfortable closing the gap in TTK and kill power over all, if lights got 175 they'd get accidentally insta-gibbed less, and if heavies were at 325 and their dmg evened out a bit, they'd have a solid space in the meta but feel far less oppressive to play against in all game modes. and obviously with nerfs or buffs of any kind, there is some give and take normally, but in heavies case i feel like they can afford a few solid hits with the nerf bat in a row before they'd need any compensation to maintain a balanced meta

The spawns on Ranked games NEED to be better. The whole game was fighting over a cashout so I went and started another one across the map. It got about halfway done and we got team wiped. Okay I can handle that, but this was the overtime cashout and it spawned us TWO HUNDRED SEVENTEEN METERS AWAY. With 40s left to make a play. We made it back by the time there was 10s left this was on SYS Horizon (Worst cashout map dont lie.)

Please revert the Fcar recoil pattern since the damage has been nurf, also revert lewis gun recoil pattern as it is the hardest recoil in the game, and give us the choice to practice range as a party while waiting for ranked game, lastly please consider making the game 120 fps for consoles

Nope, medium main and usually use revolver, don't use riot shield ever and I've had this happen multiple times where the afterburn is doing well over 200 damage and I die if I catch even the tiniest bit of fire running over something. It doesn't seem consistent, sometimes it fizzles per usual, and sometimes it sticks till I die. Ill try and grab some recordings when it happens since I would assume bug from lack of consistency. Same with heavy friends sometimes, but they will stay on fire till I hit them with a heal beam then they go out.

It's not a bug really. The game has been told that the Riot Shield is considered any normal hard surface like the ground, goo, or essentially just any type of surface the has fire linger last longer. It's not something you can't get rid of, unless you run into smoke which would put it out. Why it is like this in the first place, I don't know. It could have been intentional, but I doubt it to be a bug.

ranked elo does not feel good

  • bring back exact values, no one likes arrows, you can say that ppl are gaming the system or something but fact is someone wins and someone loses, what are ppl gonna do just by knowing how elo values are calculated that you would need to hide it with arrows shrug
  • elo values need to be more sophisticated since cash out (knockout rounds) are sophisticated. It's a common strategy in this game that you try to manipulate the most threatening team out before final round by intentionally causing a 9v3 situation (vaults 5 & 6) and help a bad team get through in their place. Elo needs to somehow calculate when things like this are done and reduce the penalty to the victimized team
  • on top of point two above is the fact that lobbies do not match same ranks with each other, so if you manipulate a bad/low ranked team in place of a higher rank team, that higher ranked team loses even more bc the team that placed higher is lower ranked (please just match same ranks with each other)
  • leaver rank protection for when someone leaves that isn't in your party needs to be a thing
  • elo gains are (apparently) weighted by your individual performance, but that seems to be limited to kills in my experience. It should weigh things like healing and blocked dmg etc to be worth more than they are in current version
