Does anyone else have issues with voicechat??? Half the time it doesn't work for me. I've tried everything, including updating drivers and making sure input devices are appropriate. Voicechat just randomnly doesnt work for hours at a time
the dagger is extremely busted now. unfun. straight up not playing this game til its gone
The "new" ping system is very much unforgiving. One pixel off and I mark a Zipline instead of a contestant. Very annoying š

I think if you re-tooled the famas to be 4-5 shot burst instead of 3 shot it'd probably feel a lot better tbh. A lot more forgiving with just an extra bullet or so being bursted. I personally think 5 shot with a tiny bit more time between bursts would feel pretty good and be balanced
I don't think they'll do that because it's not how it works irl, and all weapons so far have been at least a little true to their counterparts. That, and the fact that no other game has done that

Well itās extremely obvious it happens 50% of the time since the last patch, you use your defib and it makes the revive sound but the teammate is still a statue and you have to do it again

Can we also remove the fact that you take a huge hit when your in a ranked game and one of your teammates backs out I understand you can always not solo Q but solo Q people shouldn't be punished for loosing when it's a constant 2 v 3. Like if anything at least not gain or loose anything.
what of those who use freakin sledgehammers/flamethrowers/grenade launchers? what of those lights who use their snipers from miles away and reload their weapons in less than a second to shoot us out in like 5 secs? even tho all of them have grenades, lights can evade them, hgih chance heavies cant, if they dont put up a barricade in under two seconds. and needless to mention, time to kill for any build contestant is freakin low. they can take u out in seconds using lewis guns/fcars etc. if id be a troll i wouldnt be complementing the game in every single reviews
LH1 8-Bit Skin
This skin adds a lot of visual recoil/clutter to the weapon. The muzzle flash obscures the target you're aiming at, thus having this this skin on is a disadvantage. You can see a comparison here https://imgur.com/a/RKnvErA
It's a cool skin and it's a shame that it makes the game harder, can the muzzle flash be removed from it?
Day 63 of me begging the devs to give heavy an M134 Minigun as a Specialization.
- 200 Round magazine, ammo is restored two bullets every second, 100 seconds for a full reload.
- 20 rounds per second, eleven damage a round, 220 DPS
- Falloff begins at 30 meters down to six damage a shot at 50, but wide spread means the weapon becomes less effective past 10 meters even against larger targets
- bullets do high damage to structures (should be breaking walls in 20-50 shots) allowing a mid-range option to output mass destruction (destroying entire walls on higher floors of buildings, ripping apart nesting sightlines)

I like this game and I dont understand that people want it the way cod and fortnite went, this game is peak entertainment, if one playstyle annoys me, I counter it⦠there are many ways bois, dont be stuck at one class, enjoy others also, there is still work to do but some just hate that they can be outplayed by someone who had their gadgets figured out or had better team coop, use structures to your advantage, run shoot repeat⦠ez š«°

There's actually a good number of games that make burst guns have more than 3 shot bursts. Gears of war probably has my fav burst gun and it's 5 shot in a lot of the games. Personally I think the AN-94 would've been a way better burst gun to add since it'd feel like a dmr if they wanted to keep realism. Gameplay over realism imo. With how the game plays I think 5 shot burst would be the perfect sweet spot for ease of use. IMO the finals shouldn't aim to be realistic - which it blatantly isn't because it's taking place in a VR game lol.

Embark I just played combat champions and itās obvious theyāre making a The Finals clone.
But it was actually fun for casuals. (FUNDAMENTALLY)
Make a conquest gamemode with the max amount a server can hold without breaking, factoring in destruction and lay off.
10v10, conquest style, PROXIMITY VOIP, lower TTK, faster respawns, spawn on teammates.
Casuals will love this, I wonāt play it because I love cashout.
Localize your game for Asian languages. I personally would never play a game that isnāt spoken in English. If you want Asian players to play add Scotty and June in those languages, even if theyāre not as in depth as English.
Imagine playing a game, where the core experience includes announcers having a yappathton all game, but they canāt speak in your language. You canāt understand it, so therefore you wonāt play. Barring a lot of people from playing along side with a bad onboarding experience.

Quite minor, but moving hype in the communications wheel made it very hard for me to hype up the team at match start. Alongside removing the enemy spotted from the ping wheel removed the ability to ping it manually, which was very useful for showing where the enemy's general locations are. Now it's very clunky to use, needing direct los, making spotting an enemy and them going into cover unpingable which is very unhelpful. TLDR: Just please add ping wheel customization.
If cloak is going to be much easier to see to the point where you can be easily be detected up to mid-range, please reduce or remove the cloaking noise when moving or make it silent when crouching, and remove the decloak sound. Please give the stealth specialization some stealthy aspects to it. Cloak with the 33% consumption on activation, easy to spot silhouettes up to mid range , and the obnoxiously loud movement and cloak-in and cloak-out noises makes you easier to detect when using it compared to not using it, this is backwards, please rework cloak. Give it something that it excels in.

Shotgun should definitely get buffed to one shot mediums and lights and 2 shot heavy if they too close coz that's the purpose of a shotgun it's a close combat weapon but it does way too little damage compared to shotguns in other big games
And also the fcar needs a buff also because it's totally useless against dome shields and mesh shields coz when you done shooting one down you need to reload and you have a heavy on your back
Also the heavy shotgun needs a buff howcome it can break buildings but it 3 shots mediums and heavies like what sense does that make to 3 shot a heavy and a medium build but 2 shot a light and a medium shotgun 2 shots lights and mediums and doesn't destroy buildings I think we seriously need a buff on shotguns for them to act like real shotguns

Horizon needs an aesthetic tweek. I feel its a brilliant map really well designed for the games movement system but some of the light colours (especially at night) make things confusing and long thin lines that look like grapple ropes
Turret isn't op, just annoying, sword emote cancel needs to go, then people will stop complaining about it being op. Lewis needs a nerf similar to Fcar. Rpg should allow rocket jumping but max damage reduced to something around 80. Dagger isn't op people are just mad they got killed by a low tier weapon. Buff 93r because a lot of people want to use it but it's just plain bad.

Day 10 of asking Embark for prop hunt. And thank you for the melee hitreg fix, I'm actually rewarded for positioning myself correctly. All you need to do is remove emote cancel and melee will be beautiful. Really appreciate you guys and all your efforts. Hope you add even more unique gamemodes so that there'll be something else good for each mode. The addition of power shift and, even tough it was temporary, terminal attack really shined. It'd be preferable for more gamemodes not to mean removing another mode tough (it's understandable why cash out replaced unranked tournament, but I hope it won't happen to other modes)

I have to spam them in the middle of a fight and it's still a 50/50 if they get deployed.
I'll be in the open taking fire and struggle to put down a barricade with a blue animation. Honestly it's probably a skill issue, but it would be nice to have more consistency somehow.
So every single game of terminal attack ive been in has had my team starting a player short. I am yet to have a match where I get a full team on terminal. This is not good for the health of the gamemode

They can't. Side is as far as it goes, it's a 180 degree window, anything behind you is backstab material.

How much teaming is going on in the higher levels?? I swear I have seen teams stack on eachother and fight my team when 1 team is 4th and the other is 1 or 2nd. That makes no sense and the fact that they aren't fighting blows my mind and it's not like they don't know how to play

edit: as scrotobagging said under me, more than likely you're seeing people meta-game and get the worst teams in. I personally do this every game. I suppose you could call it teaming.
The 1st place team sometimes tries to help the worst team qualify, so that the final round is easier for them. Itās unfortunately going to be part of the game as long as there are more than 2 teams
if the first place team is good enough to kill the second best team and leave the worst team alive to get the cashout and fight in the final round resulting in an easy win, then they deserve it. its strategy, this has nothing to do with the devs or game balance.
if you are talking actual teaming by queueing into the same matches not a whole lot the teaming comes from needing to qualify in ranked where you as long as you qualify you are not really trying to do anything else besides prevent yourself from getting knocked out so at the higher ranks the two teams that are qualifying will help each other out eliminating the other teams and securing the spot then they will 1v1 at the end

- see lobby team loudouts in menu
- make option to make mantle be double jump so maybe it can heal acidental mantling
- enemy team voip when winning or during their intro
- nerf heals and give heavy smoke grenades. also let thermal vision show team colors. and make power shift platform not move when your contesting the point. buff the glitch mine.
- reduce defib health to 1/4 of their health so its not dominating mediums gadgets
- give motion sensor higher range
- make glitch mine impact or colision disable dome shields and mesh shields
- nerf barricade hp cuz its still dominant
- let data reshaper go through dome shield to get rid of the dome shield and allow dome shield
- buff some not very meta things like the c4 sa12 range the flashbang the pyromine and glitch mine and the glitch grenade the v9s the riot shield the sh1900 the dagger
- add death markers for teammate deaths in terminal attack

The finals is a fantastic game but it lacks players it just isnāt able to compete with other big fps shooters it needs more collabs maybe even as sponsers this season was sick but there just wasnāt enough to do and the game got boring the graphics are great and so is the animations it just needs more collabs, new weapons, more customization but the game really needs collabs it will boosts its popularity and more events and modes

I can see why one would say heavy is weak. After all, his two most used gun have the one of the worst recoil in the game. And even his flame thrower that everyone hate is actually not that great since most gun out dps the flame thrower.
Regardless, I hope we can all agree that being able to easily deal a 140 damage to multiple target is a bit strong.
Cause atleast for me, Iām fine with grenade dealing a 150 damage cause I know itās a bit harder to land the throw and unlike the rpg, using grenade in the middle of a fire fight will just get you kill.

But buffing him by giving him both XP-54 and LH1 in the load out might make him a bit too strong

Buff sledgehammer destruction so that it goes through multiple walls. I just got wrecked by the enemy because a wall decided to have an extra wall behind it. I could not see that wall though so there was no way I could plan for that.

I think it would be nice to have a bit more information in the store UI as to what you get with certain skins. Something as simple as "contains unique animations" for certain skins like the 1887 sawed off or "prints of player names" for that one m11 skin.

anybody else feels that matchmaking is screwed up? i mean, when i started playing it month ago i was having fun, but last few days were a miserable experience. i'm constantly paired with 2x light class, mostly most of worst players i ever seen while i'm fighting against coordinated and skilled teams. some time ago i finished a RANKED match where i got sniper light + sword dodge light as teammates. It's awful, i don;t remember when last time i got heavy in my squad. it's so bad that every time i see light in my squad i just want to rage quit and delete this game

Just a comment, there is NO way I should be getting silver or bronze people in my plat team lobbies in ranked... That should never be allowed on a team and is restricted in ranked for other games like Apex. Working up to those ranks for someone who shouldn't even be on your team in the first place to throw your rank is mindlessly frustrating. This needs a change immediately. Even for other teams going up against other teams where silver and golds are in the lobby, why should the other teams rank up for that? It's a huge joke.

Going on from this, I would love a fully customizable private lobby system as seen in any other game.
- Pick what map to play and its random events / alternate forms
- Lobby host should be able to move players into custom sized teams
- Change the gamemode to anything, even if by default its 3v3v3 or 5v5
- Option to change gravity, damage, movement speed and respawn coins amount.
- Option for the match to continue in a knock-out style with eliminated teams left as spectators.
I'd also love to see a custom weight system for regular map queuing so players individually can preference which maps they'd prefer to play on in public matches :)
Either way, keen as hell for Season 3 and I'll be there no matter what.

I feel like this game is too complicated for people sometimes. I was just in a situation where the only way for my team and the bottom team to qualify was to double stack and hold. My team put the first box in while the bottom team was fighting us even tho they had ample opportunity tyo get the second box and try to double stack. So we were the ones to double stack. Instead of the bottom team stealing and going for the win they chased us and lost with us(we still had some semblance of a chance but whatever)

Ah I did misunderstand that. I think giving each class the ability to have two weapons would be very unbalanced. The drawback of certain weapons is that they are weaker in certain environments, bypassing makes players not have to play around their gun nearly as much.
I think this would be a very fun option for light as a specialization. Lights weapons arenāt too different from each other, barring the sniper. I think trading the mobility or invisiblity of the other perks for that versatility of having two weapons would be a fun specialization. @quick coyote

My guy, if youāre playing ranked and thereās literally a vault thatās free and has been free for 3+ minutes and you still push a single cashout, youāre the issue with ranked. Thatās the dumbest shit ever seen. You say thereās ānothing that needs changedā but you should tell that to the 15k and dropping total players. Nobody wants to deal with this bullshit. Itās not fun
If the vault was free for 3minutes, then it means that other, more valuable vaults have spawned by now and there is no reason to play the old one. (You can "counter" that by doublestacking the vault and adding it to the cashout in order to get 2 new vaults after the cashout is over - this also helps to defend the next cashout as there will be 2 15k cashouts to be played instead of you cashing in the before uncontested vault for 10k, which noone will go for. This also gets you free 3k money for opening and cashing in.
Having 10k + nothing and then 10+15k played at the same time will again lead to 3 teams going for 1 15k cashout, so having 2 15k's being played at the same time will help against third partying). It also means that none of the teams went for the 2nd 10k vault to begin with and insisted to stay at the cashout - this then leads to lesser vaults being played in the "long run", adding more meaning to vaults 1-4 because the time left is to short by now to play 5 (or even 5+6).
Theres teams that doublestack vault 1+2 on seoul and then hide 3+4 in the hospital until the game ends. It's a valid strategy if you're able to 3v9 and have control about the game.
On top of that it's way more than 15k players btw - it's not about the steam charts. And theres more to it than players being disappointed about third partying or even high level macro gameplay that most people who quit by now possibly never even witnessed in person

Anyway, a idea for a heavy specialization could be a type of power glove that allows you to power up a punch that would shoot out a big burst that would push things and players far away and destroy walls
Ideas for a light specialization could be being able to phase through walls and floors or maybe a black hole type ability that pulls people in.
Idea to replace turret could be a robot guard dog instead which if it sees an enemy it chases them and melee attacks them instead of it being a aimbot turret.
Idea for a different healing gadget for medium could be a health bomb like the vanishing bomb or maybe a aps style gadget that emits healing for a short time.
These are just some ideas off the top of my head, but coming up with gameplay mechanics isnāt actually the players job itās the developers. Iām sure a group of talented and professional game developers can think of a few more good abilities. Theyāve already came up with a large amount of great ones already. I just think they could improve these few ones just like they improved recon sense.

Yes it will be chosen more, but the trouble is that now the downside of the hammer is negated. The ability to choose two weapons, while fun, needs to not just be an innate part of the game, at least not without some major reworkings of the balance.
For example, you take the CL-40 grenade launcher, strong at distance alongside a good area of effect damage. The issue is that close up the CL-40 deals self-damage and requires the player to play around that to do better with it. That difficulty is negated when you are able to take a riot shield as your second weapon - the riot shield's drawback is that you can only deal damage close up.
That's why I take your suggestion and suggest in addition the requirement that it takes a specialization slot. Specializations are always strong and holding two weapons would be very strong on its own. Even more, I think that would be most balanced on the light class, then second most balanced on heavy, and most unbalanced on medium.

I'm not sure I understand your medium part correctly, but I prefer to deal with light class using my CL40 in short range, and riot shield should be good when you attack while not knowing if there is an enemy in the room. I think medium will be fine.

It's a mix of things and obviously some people are very rude in here but theres literally a dozen things you can do to succeed in this game. Keep in mind that you don't even need the first place to proceed to the next round. The finals is more than playing for yourself/your own team. If you aim for a 2nd place you make sure to help out the #1 team and not fuck them over to prevent the money being split by 3 teams. If you are the first team you often decide who will the 2nd team.
Theres bad cashouts, theres good cashouts. Theres cashouts you don't even want to approach (Seoul Hospital when both bridge&crane are destroyed for 10k/15k? no way, you'd rather take a shit meanwhile then going for it). Theres just so much more about this game than fighting killing attacking and defending.
Part of the issue is also your opponents who are equally "bad" (again, don't take this so offensive) at macrogameplay. I can't tell you how often I've seen team3&4 opening the same vault (5/6) - they BOTH need the cashout to be played to even have a chance to proceed but they mindlessly kill each other instead of making sure to get the cash to the cashout first and then the round is over without overtime being triggered. This adds up among the whole round. It's just different to play team vs team or to play team vs team vs team vs team =)
If the entire point of revamping spawns is to make as many fights a 3v3 as possible, why not just add a 3v3 ranked mode so people can actually have fun in ranked

It's bad decision making of multiple teams to entirely ignore the other vault - not the game that isn't working. Espacially because at that point its not about thirdpartying, its about 4(!) teams going for 10k. The only reason 3 teams are completely ignoring it (not even opening it?, not even doublestacking it) is either not enough gameknowledge/tunnelvision/inability to adapt/stupidity/ignorance. I agree that third partying can be very demolishing - same as last second steals under double dome with mesh+aps inside but I guess a better fix to that would be changing the way cashouts are being paid (like pay for the time that its being hold instead of at the end) - instead of changing something about the unique 3v3v3v3 thing that's making that shooter exlusive and fun. In the end you can also always try to thirdparty yourself.
Or you can turn the tides and help the #1 team to turn it into 6v3v3 - doublestack the leftover 10k with the next 15k vault, help #1 team to get it. Then play the 15k cashout while #1 tries to prevent the 22k from being played and if they get played, make sure to help #1 again or get the steal yourself. If you never teamwipe after your 15k cashout and #1 wiped once, then you would even survive the 22k vaults without you or #1 winning them, if you cash one of them in yourself due to the 2k bonus.
If you can't win the 15k vault, then make sure to get either 5 or 6 being played and try to win it. Remember that overtime cashouts are not the full 130seconds. You don't have to hold them that long. So if you can create tempo and use it to your advantage, do it. The game is not always over after you've lost vault 1-4. It's over after 10minutes+overtime. And I guess especially that last sentence is not heared enough. People are giving up or are getting upset way to quick instead of trying/tryharding the whole round. You loosing vault 1-4 is the equivalent of being 0-7 in Counterstrike. You can still win. Theres many ways to rome

As a Diamond 2, I feel like The Final could do a better job at guiding new players. Honestly, I wouldn't even catch basic information like how a gas grenade can be put out by fire if it wasn't for YouTube. This led me to believe that The Final could benefit from incorporating brief, informative tips similar to those in TF2ās loading screens that clarify abilities and gadget functions, such as:
⢠"Sometimes, it's strategic to get wipes right before the cash out to only incur a 30% penalty on a smaller amount."
⢠"RPG is an extremely powerful gadget that deals a whopping maximum 140 damage. Once you see the enemy heavy has already exhausted it, let your light teammate know so that he can confidently close the distance."

these are all really good
it probably isn't bad decisionmaking or being bad at the game, my matches are usually filled with plat and diamond players but it keeps happeninng. i don't remember it being nearly as bad in lower elo. im not talking about changing the 3v3v3v3, i think it should be tweaked/incentivised to actually go for the second cashbox/cashout. it definitely isn't in a perfect state.
if someone gives up easily, it's about them but once a big part of the playerbase does it, it's a problem with the game.
also ranks probably shouldn't be seen until after you're knocked out of the game as it leads to more targeting and thirdpartying.
@lament mango do you actually think the gamemode is perfect with no flaws? and im not a dev but probably make the rewards for opening and depositing the box bigger, getting 3k in total is nothing for it and make the spawns closer. cashout going on 50m from you vs cashbox 200m from you, which one are u going to choose?

I have an idea for a Limited Time Mode that I myself have personally never seen in any PVPVE game. I call this game Mode, "Presidential Defense" ... 2 teams of 5, best out of 7 rounds each game, one team are "The Guardians" and the Other team are "The Hunters" On the Guardians team, one randomly selected player becomes "The Hunted" and they cannot use weapons or gadgets to defend themselves, they simply have to run, hide and rely on their teammates to defend them until the attacking team is completely eliminated or until the clock runs out. Each round both teams swap roles giving each player a chance to be "The Hunted" Level destruction stays the same each round and "The Hunted" cannot be revived or healed, but can regain health like in a normal quick game on his own and all maps are based at night time and at the end of LTM a window should pop up allowing players to vote on keeping the game mode or getting rid of it. I also have ideas for a concept outfit as a reward for both "The Hunters" and "The Guardians" upon completing 2 pages of contracts. One page for the hunters and one page for the guardians. I also have an idea for a trailer video. For anyone reading this that thinks this might be a cool idea for the Dev's to give a try, then please leave your opinions and maybe any other additional ideas to make this new game mode idea become a great one. I really like this game and see that it has a lot of potential but us as the players need to help keep this game alive the same way that GTA 5 has been alive till this day for over 10 years.
The only reason for this is that 2+ teams want to be the thirdparty, resulting into a 4team clash. After the first wipe its up to you to activate the second vault to either cash in (if the fight prolongs enough) or doublestack - or to thirdparty the first cashout ;). Also you make it sound very normal, when in reality most of the time atleast both vaults get opened , while 1 may get stuck due to fights. I just think the whole gameplay is very interesting as it's about to know your enemies. Teams #1 and #2 want to tick the clock, #3 and #4 want money to be played fast. Know your enemies and know how to work with the situation

Its not way more than 15k players my guy. If you give any statistician a starting demographic of 300k, regardless of platform, that is more than enough of a sample to extrapolate that the game has lost 95% of its playerbase across the board since launch. Nexon has now admitted the game is on the verge of being a failure. S3 will decide the fate of this game, but I'd be willing to bet the writing is on the wall.
Replace mesh shield, healing, defib, invis, and turret with better abilities and reduce the damage of rpg and give it two shots. These things are annoying and unfun

ngl the 9v3 meta (first place team intentionally griefing who they think is the best team out of the 3 enemy teams) in knockout rounds is just awful on the receiving end and cheap on the giving end and I don't know what embark would be able to do to fix it other than replace the ranked mode with something else entirely
or maybe it doesn't need to be fixed and I just need to find a new fps game to love as much as I've loved this one for the past few months but I'm just burning out so hard
like yes the point is to prevent being that griefable team in the first place but honestly I don't care what's skillful or smart at this point, it feels bad and I'd rather not play the game anymore if ranked will always be the same mode more or less.
At the higher levels the two "best" teams, on average, are not the ones that end up in the final round and I feel like that's a problem.

Also, the insane amount of very common bugs plaguing at least one of our teammates each match is crazy too, getting stuck in goo, perma-black screen until you get that person to die, -1 second respawn countdown, cashout bug where the bar fills to full but stays stuck there and doesn't take it, can't sprint bug, enemy player footsteps sometimes being nonexistent, picking up cans not being responsive despite not having internet issues, enemy teams spawning right behind us at the spawn we just spawned at seconds ago, tournament screens not updating with what classes ppl chose at start, etc

I would like a more comprehensive ranked progression like what do I need to in order to progress obviously win but in a video from Oscar he mentions personal performance and went back on what he had said. Additionally I'm not sure about this but some of the teammates I have I do not understand how they are the rank they are I sometimes feel like I am playing with silver or bronze players no hate but the skill difference is obvious I def think there should be like a role ranked mode I'm not sure how you would configure such a thing though, but having two lights and a heavy do not play well together same goes for 3 lights or 2 lights and a medium. The meta is double heavy or triple heavy and or 2 mediums and a heavy in higher elos. Light class is played at low elo and just wont work in high elo. I'm not saying light can't work at all I'm simply saying what the stats are I love this game and light and medium are my favorite classes just light is unusable unless playing casual modes.

Cloak was nerfed way too hard. It was easy enough to see last patch, people just didnāt know how to look for it.

Give all melee a +5% speed boost when equipped. Closing distance is still the biggest weakness, I think a small speed boost can help level the playing field between melee and guns.

QUALITY OF LIFE:
Bit of a long shot, but wouldn't it be nice to have a Match History Tab and maybe a Replay System? As a quality of life update it would be pretty nice. Also we can go back and review games, see what happened as well as record bugs when they occur. Replays don't have to be permanently available, maybe a week lifespan but downloadable would be also nice, if we want to keep them for longer.

Server performance does have been getting worse the past month and especially since 2.7. On las vegas when a building has been destroyed I was able to double jump and losing all momentum mid air randomly

Is anyone facing issues on in-game voice chat? I have enabled my voice chat and adjusted to the correct settings yet I couldn't hear or speak to my team mates. I have tried uninstalling the game as well.
I think the arrow system is one of, if not the worst ranked system I have ever seen. I honestly think it works a lot different than most people think, from just how rankups/deranks happen.
I dont think the arrow count represents how close you are to ranking/deranking. I think it just shows your progress for that specific game/round.
Example for what I mean: You win a game, you get 3 arrows up, then you lose round two, and you are now 2 arrows down. I dont think people go "down 5 arrowns" from that interaction. I think the arrows just represent what you are gaining and losing.
not exact numbers but an example: Lets say each arrow is worth 10
in that last interaction most people assume that going from 3 arrows up to 2 arrows down is the equivalent of -50. I think (and kinda hope) that its a per game change, taking that last example, You would be +30 from the 3 arrows up, then -20 for the 2 arrows down, being the equivalent of +10. The only evidence I have of this is how long it take to derank, and that even if you get 3 arrows up twice in a row, it isnt always a rank up.
I think thinking of it like this makes it much better mentally

Keybinds are broken as hell.
Reassing "Esc" to "Backspace" whole menu is broken - pause in-game works ok, but to quit the pause menu you have to still press "Esc". Like bruh... And you can't reassign from "Backspace" back to "Esc" cuz "Esc" is hardcoded input in the code, so the game doesn't recognize Esc press during button assignment.
If you have left and right mouse buttons swapped in the system settings, the game may not understand that and one of your buttons won't even work in the game (not a constant behavior, so probably just a bug)
The hairs in this game, mainly the shorter/ male ones are a bit see through, it would be nice if you could fix this

Second, for those who think light class is weak, you will have more fault tolerance, for light is designed for stealth.

Yeah that's fine. Another tip is that you can combine the jump pads with the evasive dash to get a mega boost.
You need to have appropriate timing to make it work, it's like riding a bike after you do it the first time you understand it.

Can we extend the glitch grenade effect to last 7 seconds instead of 5? It doesn't seem right that anyone can now apply 5-second glitches without sacrificing a slot to bring them. Yes, the glitch grenade is more consistent since you don't need to rely on RNG to find a glitch barrel. However, considering that the glitch barrel also avoids being targeted by APS, I think it's only fair to give the glitch grenade a bit more effectiveness.
Plus having a second glitch grenade doesn't make much difference anyway if you're already skilled at throwing them, since you'll most likely be shooting your gun to eliminate enemies rather than glitching them a second time. Also, I feel like 5 seconds is almost too short. I can't tell you how many times a no-voice chat light teammate glitched an enemy, and I failed to capitalize on the opportunity because the effect was too brief.
The same goes for the glitch mine. The mine is extremely inconsistent and has a horrible cooldown. Most of the time, you wonder why not just use a mine that kills enemies instead of glitching them. So, could we also please increase the glitch mine's duration to maybe 8 seconds? I think itās fair since the mine either hits someone or does nothing all game.

There no way around removing that open space. Its on the only map in this game where one cashout is just nearly impossible to capture as soon as crane and small bridge is destroyed.

This has turned into worse place than the reddit for complaining. I've seen some of the worst and most nonsensical takes in my life here. It's clear that 90% you guys don't know a thing about balancing/don't care and just want the game to play how you see fit.
I would like to suggest a few ideas that might help the game.
Mini events/monthly event. that you have to collect small tasks in a certain mode, for example, and if necessary you get an item with which you can redeem the item. e.g. gold bars that you get after certain tasks and can use them to redeem a t-shirt.
Items that you can buy with the cash you win, or outfits that you can buy with points that have a maximum of 3k. I can't think of the name right now.
Achivements for weapons, i.e. tasks that you complete and then get an exclusive weapon skin for. e.g. 20k kills for a red glowing skull decorated weapon skin. or do a few tasks for each class.
What might also be a cool idea would be cases that you can win, and through these you can also win extra items or titles, banners, profile pictures.

The finals is now a driving shooter with the strongest dynamics. But what if you look a little deeper at both ENT and the idea of the game as a whole. The finals is primarily a competitive show spread around the world that includes the opportunity to acquire huge wealth through sponsorship of trading giants in virtual reality.
What I'm getting at: this fact gives developers just a GIANT flight to realize their creative ideas in The finals. I am not a developer and not a very ideological person, so the words spoken below may seem rather hackneyed to someone, but I want to assure you that this is just an example: You can add anything from some kind of racing to hide and find. Do you understand? I want to say that it is not necessary to limit ourselves to one component, but to add various developmental aspects to it. You can look at different sports and adapt them to the game, for example. In general, I think the essence of this is clear ā developers, you have a huge fat piece that you can implement and cut normal money pleasing players with your content and it is not necessary to focus on one thing for this. Experiment. The finals community is responsive and I think they will only be happy with the new products.

Think they should have two variations of every game mode social and competitive. social you can swap classes and change to any weapon or equipment on the fly and competitive have role/class locks and keep the reserve slots. I like power shift but to me it seems like everyone is playing that game mode to complete daily or circuit challenges including myself and its no surprise you get players complaining about snipers running the game when you have challenges like get 5000 headshot damage and do 17000 damage with marksman rifles or handguns.

Finally invest in advertising. Buy it on YouTube, order it from popular streamers in various regions to stream with it, and so on. TikTok, twitch, YouTube and more. What the hell is your PR department doing?!

As I said in paragraph 1, there is sponsorship of giant trading companies. What prevents you from doing the same thing as a collaboration, only instead of hackneyed skins with asterisks ā for example, add a skin from real existing companies with Pepsi, Sprite, Cola ...? Something defenitely okay with matchmaking. sadly i am not able to post images yet. But i got a team of 2 gold, i am plat 1, we had 2 enemy full diamond team, and another team with 1 gold and 2 plat. Ranked matchmaking seems a bit broken. I can't climb over Plat 1, because i keep falling back to plat 2.
They should at least try and do something with amazon and the twitch drops. But your not wrong they definitely need to be putting it out there more. what do they really expect from a live service game if they carry on adding new things and expanding the game by season 4 it will be more fleshed out and will be a stronger package for a free to play game with a wealth of decent content. Fortnites over hype and all these share holders looking over the fence and how much there making. Riot shield already gets hard countered by 50% of things in the game, giving people 2 weapons will just make that way worse
Everyone would just run something like Lewis/Flamethrower where you have arguably the best gun in the game, and can swap to a light destroyer if you ever get them in your match. I dont even wanna think about a Lewis/M60 combo where the enemy has 8 million bullets. Picking weapons should be about give and take. You want to demolish lights? Thats ok but you'll have to do worse fighting other classes.
It would also be extremely busted for anyone that knows how to actually use melee
New gadget for light. The healing dart. Just like the tracker dart but gives X amount of health when hit. Think docs healing gun in rainbow six siege. I think this would provide a useful new utility for lights and would provide options other than medium heal beam in the sandbox.

You weren't able to see the whole picture.
All you see is medium and heavy is buffed. But some people see light is buffed. For it will be the only class which will be good at all range.
Riot shield can be dealt with flamethrower and CL40, and flamethrower can only be used in short range so it's not the best weapon.
Light is designed to stealth and do burst damage, it needs skill to do damage first while trying not to get hit.
Lewis is not the best too, for it's very inaccurate compared to rifles. And actually, from my experience, you only need one machine gun, a second one is meaningless.

Think I saw a single video in 2020 about The Finals. Thought it looked good. Completely forgot about the game until a friend reminded me and said it's open beta. Since then I haven't seen a single ad for the game. Which is weird since I Google The Finals my ass off.

You say light will be the only class thats good at all range, but thats just not true. Heavies can pick Lewis + SA12 to be good at any range. Unless you make the point that Light can pick sniper to be good at any range, but we all know that extreme long range is useless in any mode other than powershift.
Riot shield can be dealt with 50% of weapons in the game, and seeing as most of loadouts will consist of something like an Automatic weapon + an AOE weapon/Melee Weapon. Riot Shield will become useless as its countered by pretty much every player. Riot shield gets countered by Flamethrower, CL40, MGL, or Any Melee Weapon.
"Flamethrower can only be used in short range so it's not the best weapon" is a goofy statement cus the drawbacks of the flamethrower dont exist if you can just swap to another weapon with more range."

You are confusing recoil for accuracy, they are not the same thing.
Its very cool that you wiped a team with sniper, but that doesnt have anything to do with what I said. I never said sniper was useless, I said extreme long range is useless (again, except for powershift), which it is, theres no use for damaging someone on the other side of the map ever.
Again, the problem with Flamethrower is the fact that every heavy will now use a combo of Automatic/SA12 or Automatic/Flame. Normally when you pick an Automatic weapon you are (slightly) worse at close range, while with SA12/Flame you are useless at medium/long range. If you have both you are useful at both ranges, and theres no way to counterplay that. Again, this will suck mostly for lights, SA12 and Flamethrower destroys them. If every heavy has them, then lights have 0 ways to kill heavies, as heavies can now use the light-killers, without any drawbacks.

I really think Powershift definitely needs some alternative spawnpoints for the game mode, not only to just allow teams to properly recover from wipes, but also to prevent teams from spawn camping constantly.
My OP was basically saying how each game mode should have social and ranked the ranked game modes should have class lock. So i would prefer it if it was 6vs6 2 lights 2 mediums and 2 heavies. And social modes where you can pick anything class and you can change your weapons or equipment it doesn't have to be in you reserves and you can do it after dying like in power shift. being able to use two weapons isn't a bad idea but it might cause balancing issues everyone has valid points.

Heavy is bulky, try to keep a distance. Heavy is strong at short range by design, even you don't have two weapons, you still have charge. Light can fight Heavy with proper distance.
Also extend the time needed to switch weapons, this will solve your problem.
Recoil represents accuracy when you aim up, it doesn't when you don't .

If lights are only supposed to fight on longer distances there'd be no real value for light to have 2 weapons.

If people quit pubs matches just because they're dying far more than they kill and/or are losing or placing last multiple times in a row, PLEASE fix the matchmaking so this doesn't happen. I don't want this to happen more than twice in a row, especially if I have to quit matches early.
And please reset and freeze quickplay stats, I don't need any more reminders that I'm no good at anything. Dying multiple times to snipers, daggers and RPGs in a row while you're trying to practice getting good with one of the weakest guns, the 93R, is enough of a reminder for me.

The main reason why I think giving people 2 weapons is a bad idea, is the fact that weapon balance still feels bad to me. And that the balance problems in this game would grow tenfold if everyone had 2 weapons.
Yes they would have to change some stuff up to make it more interesting, faster coin timers, respawns, closer respawns, first to 30k, faster revives, etc. but it would be a lot more fun than being constantly shot at by 2 separate teams.
As for the landslide part, thatās because the knockout rounds are so bad at being competitive that thereās usually a team there only because they got lucky and ratted, not because theyāre actually good. And then they get to a 3v3 where they canāt do that and get stomped

The solution is to not add two weapons to the game, or HEAVILY change all the weapons to allow for two weapons to be run at once.
Either that or add a "small and large slot" classification and sort different weapons into it. But then every class could run melee weapons (assuming they're all "small slot") with no real downside. A light could run sword and XP5, or a sniper and V9S. (Assuming pistols are small slot) it'd take a bunch away from the need to master each weapon.
That's not even to mention how it would obliterate many of the intended weaknesses of each gun.
The sniper is supposed to be bad at close range, but now you have the V9S to shut down close range engagements.
To keep the game itself balanced, there would have to be massive changes just to ensure it doesn't make the game nigh unplayable.
Rebutting your points and offering no other solution is also an entirely appropriate response when you're arguing for one specific thing. But there, I outlined some alternatives for you.

I have just gotten destroyed by a 3 Diamond-1 stack and I have experienced something that bugged me in that game: spawnpoints.
I feel like this game could heavily benefit from a more dynamic spawn point system that allows the players to basically spawn anywhere on the map with a few restraining conditions. Something like:
- Players can't spawn within 50 meters of another constestant
- If there are two contestants within that radius meters the radius increases by 10 meters
- Players can't spawn in line of sight
- Players can't spawn closer than 100 meters from a cashout, unless there is no other suitable spot
- Players can't spawn further than 150 meters from a cashout, unless there is no other suitable spot
- Players can't spawn twice in the same location
This would allow people to basically spawn anywhere rather than what seems to be designated spawn areas, which can be memorized and abused.
That said I do not know how the system works right now, but it seems like what i mentioned earlier as me and my team spawned 3 times in the exact same spot corresponding to one cashout and all 3 times we got beamed as soon as we got close, because the enemies knew they only had to watch for people from that side, because there are no other spawns.
Finally, some valuable feedback.
I second being able to choose weather and time in private matches.
In addition to being able to choose, random time/weather should also exist as an option.
Another suggestion: Add preselected load outs similar to the cowboy event or bunny bash. Similar to how you can select already made rules in Smash. Building custom selection load outs/classes would be cool too.
For example: all dash/light sword portal, smoke, flashbang for pure chaos. Or whatever people gravitate towards.

In game audio really needs to be looked at. Especially distance and direction. Footsteps in particular can be silent right next to you or blaring from the building next door.

Attachment customization for guns might please a lot of players. As a Hunt enjoyer irons don't bother me but new Hunt players complain a lot about all the ironsights. I bet lots of noobs here feel the same way.

defibs are still a source of wonky and unsatisfying combat. I'm not saying they're OP but they drag fights out and can make elims feel pointless. I think this is a big part of why light is not a very appreciated class. "Hit and run" tactics don't work when once you start the "run" part everyone gets an instant revive. Would also be nice if they worked in such a way that encouraged taking the trophy to cover first, not running into a bulletstorm like a bot and defibbing someone for them to just die again right away. Making them look at the trophy a bit longer might be all it takes (like a normal revive but much faster)
DO NOT REMOVE Terminal Attack (S&D)- this game mode MAKES the game. Need a ranked version of this

As of patch 2.5 server performance has been going down steadily, last week with the release of 2.7 it seems to have gotten even worse somehow. I don't know what has been changed behind the scenes but playing on las vegas just means guaranteed headache, on other maps it's been going downhill as well. Movement starts to feel delayed and sluggish to the point of visually double jumping and randomly losing all momentum mid-air when using jumppads.

I really wish the statistics could be viewed for each season, so you could track improvement etc. It's frustrating that all of my early gameplay was experimenting and trying things that just didn't work for me. I feel like allowing to filter by season and compare seasons, see trends etc, would really encourage players to come back and play each season.

I ask please, make the punishment for leaving ranked worse. Also maybe implementing potential longer term bans (or perma bans) for specifically ranked if repetitive/common leaving is observed. My team8 last night left a game, and then I did. I didn't lose an entire rank and tbh I kinda wished I and the other guy did to make people commit and actually try to get better and learn the game.
To specify why I left I was a M and my team8s were Ls, and the only other one left wouldn't stick close then started greifing. There was such little chance that a solo M riot shield would take point with the kit I was running too (heal beam) so I had to resign from the match.

Please make the different events have harder challenges or make them more lore-oriented. I really don't like that the current milestones are basically "play the game 14 times". It would be cool if instead the missions were set up in a way where we would get more information on CNS by doing them or even the easter eggs. For instance, forcing everyone to find the rabbits from the easter egg in a mission would be so cool since people would look into the easter egg half of the game by either looking up a youtube tutorial (assuming they just wanted the rewards) but then it would lead them down a rabbit hole for the rest of the games universe (or players can just find them on there own if they're interested in the challenge)

Fix the striking system and the mesh shield. it is already hard enough to kill a heavy, but to give them a shield that they can shoot out of and we can't, it is just broken and op, especially a team of heavy's with multiple shields. It would be more fair if no one could shoot out of it. The striking system needs to be fixed, because you don't get penalized if you leave mid game. I say you only get to leave once a day if there is an emergency or a problem occurs. like come on, i can't deal with people leaving left and right because of rage, it effects the whole team. sidenote: I get it, you can destroy the mesh shield with glitch barrels and glitch grenades, but you would need to be a light and the barrels are not near you all the time, especially in an intense game. P.S. I don't play light main anymore (No glitch grenades)

Day 64 of me begging the devs to give heavy an M134 Minigun as a Specialization.
- 200 Round magazine, ammo is restored two bullets every second, 100 seconds for a full reload.
- 20 rounds per second, eleven damage a round, 220 DPS
- Falloff begins at 30 meters down to six damage a shot at 50, but wide spread means the weapon becomes less effective past 10 meters even against larger targets
- bullets do high damage to structures (should be breaking walls in 20-50 shots) allowing a mid-range option to output mass destruction (destroying entire walls on higher floors of buildings, ripping apart nesting sightlines)

I've reported a team for massive toxicity and botting multiple times, and the game has put them against my team three times in a row now. THIS is the crap that gets people to stop playing. FIX THE MATCHMAKING PLEASE and havre the system NOT keep putting players you report in the same god damn game against the one who reports them multiple times in a row. This is so damn infuriating because every other game has a "Do not matchmake" function

I had a little request for the rework for ranked that you revealed was next season. I didn't know where to put it so please take notice if you can. I got placed in a ranked match with only one other player. All the other teams were full. That one player disconnected before the players even ran through the tunnel to start the first knockout round... I was unfortunately not awesome enough to solo 3 other teams of 3, so I lost. And my rank went down aa significant amount. Obviously this was out of my control but it certainly made it impossible to win.
Anyways, I think it would be really nice if you were punished less when you are on a two player teams vs. full teams, or not punished at all. And then certainly not punished when you are solo. If you somehow manage to win, then progression will go up its designated amount as normal. But I think it is really unfair to have your rank take a hit for matchmaking issues, and AFK players that you can do nothing about in the end. Yeah, its great the AFK player will be suspended from ranked matchmaking for a bit, but I am way more concerned about the fact that my rank is going down over that, then if that player will be able to matchmake again today.
As a side note, I love this game and I am so excited to continue playing and see where it all leads! I don't know how you all do it at Embark. You have made one gem of a game, I hope more gamers start taking notice and get their bottom out of the same 4 shooters like Apex, Fortnite, COD, etc. They pale in comparison to the finals! It is so unique!

Personally, I donāt know how to address this issue myself but I think a good step in the right direction is to allow an ability to hold down a button to disable a turret. Cause rn, the way the turret is is it hurting an already super stale meta by hard countering melee weapon user or weapon with low ammo count and slow fire rate.
i think light is pretty good in some gamemodes, but in ranked just doesnt fit in the meta, M and H have too much hp, or it can be healed too quickly for lights dive abilites to be good

its the skin I use (used in beta too) and Ive never had any problems with it over any other skin. the muzzle flash appears for a single frame, it hardly blocks any vision.
The only game mode Light is not oppressed is Bank it because you don't have to defend that much compared to the other modes.

@quick coyote thats not what a QOL is, it is a skill to continue tracking the cash box while falling, removing that ability allows people to get away with what were otherwise bad plays. I'm fine with it on revives to be honest, but stealing, no, that removes alot of the aiming skill.

The funny part about this game is that balance decisions are made under the idea that 2 teams are fighting in a 3v3. And the game is actually pretty well balanced for that scenario besides a few heavy related problems. The main issue is that the tournament format almost never makes that scenario a reality. Knockout rounds are just terrible for the game and the least ācompetitiveā thing you could ever put in a ranked mode
How is healing beam still broken after all this time? To have it stop working for an entire ranked match is rather painful.

instead of 3v3s to remove the 3rd party problem, you should just progressively get cash as you hold the cashout. That way the game still feels full of pvp and big fights but also you dont lose last second after holding for 124 seconds

yeah knockout rounds are pretty horrible in their current state. As it is now, the two "best" teams hardly ever end up in the final round against each other because they get intentionally 9v3'd early on. Changing to 3v3 format would fix it yes but that's heavy handed and probably won't happen, max's idea sounds more realistic honestly

make equipment decay on the platform in powershift until it destroys itself and donāt let it recharge when they are within 10 meters of it.
im thinking maybe they lose 10hp every 3-5 seconds until they are destroyed, then triple how long it takes to pick them up while they are on the platform or only give them a partially charged gadget based on how much health it had before they picked it up.

This, and maybe make it less of a pain to shoot detected enemies. Seriously, that cluttered red dot thing makes me miss my shots way more than it should when it's supposed to help me track the enemy. So, can we just have it so that if a detected enemy enters your screen, the detected effect disappears? We already have the red outline highlight anyway.
And I know a lot of people say they would use it more if the range wasn't so bad. But then, if we buff the range, which I assume the devs haven't done yet because they would essentially create a better sonar grenade that stays there indefinitely until destroyed. Problematic when you remember it can be placed at the ceiling and make the enemy above get detected without them having a way to destroy it.
(Aka If the range got too far, it would become too strong and annoying like recon sense so thus increasing the range should be done so moderately)

I feel the steal cashout contract is too difficult and should either be replaced, total amount of steals required cut in half, or teammates steals count towards everyone's contract. I find it dissolves team play and prioritizes the individual in the team setting of cashout and quick cash.
Much of the time contestant are playing a class in a way that is not best for it and don't want to change. E.g. lights just charging strait on to a team of 3 in a tight group.
I still cannot get the game to launch - I dont even get an error message or anything i get here it loads and then nothing. Edit: yes i have latest version

I think it's a shame that there's no "audience interaction" in this game show. I kind of expected more in game stats to add up to some sort of "audience score" that you can increase by emoting after kills or objectives.

There NEEDS to be frequent leaver penalties in casuals and ranked. Like, it is infuriating in either case to lose a match simply because people were quitting out throughout the match. Make it really lax for sure in casuals, but if you leave something like 5 games in a row in the beginning minutes ban them from matchmaking for 60 seconds or something. Something real minor but that is just annoying enough to keep people from leaving the second the game isn't going perfectly. I've had so many games that could've been won if people didn't just leave right in the last little bit of a match.

Heck, I was annoyed by the existence of the RPG on heavy since it is practically a sidearm when none of the other classes get one.
It's rather unique game design for a FPS to not have pistols as backup, to basically be forced into the weapon you chose, which admittedly does do a good job of making builds..some weapons are just objectively better with certain specializations or gadgets, and that's a good thing. Letting a sidearm exist to basically smooth out the downsides of a weapon isn't the right solution imo.

As a dedicated sword-only player, I find it essential to have a samurai sword skin. The options for sword skins are pretty limited compared to other weapons, and it can feel a bit unfair. A samurai sword skin would add a unique flair and give those of us who specialize in sword combat a sense of identity and pride. Itās time for the sword to get the recognition and variety it deserves, making the game more enjoyable for players like me.š
3v3 would not make HHM more prevalent. HHM is prevalent because of the sustain it provides against 3rd parties as well as just because heavy is op. Light is actually very viable and useful in 3v3 when you can play the glass cannon archetype without that glass being shattered by the 20th team in a row to rat your cashout

I would love to see an additional 5v5 gamemode once Terminal Attack (TA) goes. I've got a fairly large friend group who I play with regularly and we often go between TA and Powershift and I just worry once TA is gone we'll get bored of having big lobbies just for Powershift. If S3 has a replacement for TA or addition to the casual gamemodes to support 5v5, that would be awesome :)

Played the game for the first time in a month hoping to see some positive changes. Curious as to why the game looks blurrier, has worse graphics, and somehow worse frames. I used to never budge from 240 and now I'm getting 180+. I'm running 7800X3D with a 3080ti so I don't think my computer is the problem. Just seems like the devs don't know what their doing and the concurrent player numbers show for it. I hate complaining about it because I was really passionate about this game from the betas and just seems like the game keeps going downhill and makes me sad.

I was playing the game heavily from the betas to a month into season 2 and hopped on today and thought I was crazy, so I went and looked at clips from a month ago and the game looks way worse now. There's a level of fog everywhere and the lighting is awful. Maybe the devs were playing around with lower textures for lower end systems and ended up lowering performance as a whole would be my best guess.

Honestly they should change all modes to 2 teams of 6 with the option to make 2 squads of 3 per team, most friends groups are 4-6 people. Even if this game had perfect weapon balance etc it wouldnt do much for player count as friends simply cant play together half the time. Also 3 person teams means if one person stinks or leaves then that team is pretty much doomed, two larger teams would also solve that issue.

There is always room to expand and make new gamemodes to accommodate for larger player pools. Okay I'm very confused on this let's say I'm Plat 1 and I'm +3 when you make it past the 1st round why are you back to +1? Shouldn't it just stay +3? Or when you get wiped the 1st round why do you go to +3 down to negative 2? That's absolutely ridiculous shouldn't it just be +2,+1, -1, then negative -2? Why do you loose 5 points and when you are +3 on plat 1 and make it to the finals why does it reset to +3 shouldn't you just rank up? It doesn't make any sense

@idle cloak They literally can't, there's not a large enough playerbase to matchmake based off of skill so everyone's in the same lobbies.
If they had done it off the start of the game sure, but the concurrent playerbase died about 2-3 months into the launch of the game and hasn't returned. They could have saved the game in 2-3 days of work by changing the balancing of weapons and removing nukes, which would have just been changing numbers in a database. Instead they focused on cosmestics and new game modes, which further splits the queues making matchmaking worse. Their idea of balancing guns was to make them feel unfun with awful recoil, which hurt inexperienced players more than experienced ones, rather than looking at time to kill and changing damage numbers and fire rate.
I don't think the devs knew the direction they wanted to take the game in, so they balanced the game off the casual game modes rather than tournament, which would have given the game an esports scene drawing in free advertisement. The game is competitive by nature and by it's name, but feels like they're fighting it and having an identity crisis. That's why you see them creating new modes similar to other games to try and capture that audience, but it hasn't worked judging by the concurrent player numbers (7,500-18,000 in the last week).

When you hold a cashout you get a fraction of the money depending on the % you've held it eventually you'll be low health no cooldowns after fighting teams just for a 3rd party to steal

But there won't be enough people left to spread across new game modes in the future unless something changes. You missed the point of the impact one really bad or missing player has on a team of 3. A team of 4 or 5 players still has a decent chance vs 6 while a team of 2 vs multiple teams of 3 almost always has no chance. Look at powershift for example, its pumping in every region and there was never any doubt it would stay a permanent game mode, even now in dead regions like OCE you can always find a game. The one mode with two larger teams is super popular...must be a coincidence š

A massive barrier to entry is FPS, when people come over from cs2 valorant overwatch and apex going from 120+ fps to 50-60fps on finals makes a otherwise great fps feel unresponsive and janky, i upgraded my computer just to play the finals but that isnt viable for everyone.. I imagine optimisation is very tough on a game like this but lowering the barrier to entry would help retain alot more players i believe

Both console and PC need this imo to maximize FPS and get rid of those annoying frame drops!
- They can lower down shadow quality which will heavily help out performance especially since it is on unreal engine
- texture quality can be lowered down, works for most games
- tesselation can be lowered or even remove, it takes a massive hit on performance
- clouds and background buildings can be removed, smaller render distance for unneccesary objects

Me Plat 3: one up arrow
Heavy Diamond 4: two up arrow
Medium Plat 1: one down arrow
this seems completely random when we all played together and got almost the same scores between the two heavies with good support and combat on the medium

Hey, the games software isn't working right. It's kicking players out of matches for commonly used software that isn't a cheat program. Also, it doesn't tell what tool it doesn't like for players to know what is causing the software to have this problem. This may be the reason why players don't feel comfortable spending money on this game due to crashes on first time start up and randomly kicking the player base over false accusations.

Honestly I'd say that current meta is probably the most balanced the game has ever been. Fcar feels reasonable, stun gun isn't infuriating to play against anymore, nothing really feels too painfully oppressive. The fix to melee weapon hitreg has been a godsend, although I occasionally still have moments when I try to use sword lunge and the game just refuses to do it for seemingly no reason.
if I had to say "underpowered, please buff" I'd probably point at the burst pistol, that thing feels really bad to use.

However I started using mesh and realized that every time I put down the shield and swing, the animation doesnāt go through, this also happens when I mantle, or when I let go of the cash out to try and swing. This fr. I don't use mesh shield, but after mantling up through holes I make, I'll occasionally get this same animation bug when going for an overhead right after.
Embark pls fix the sword I understand not many people are complaining, but that's simply because most players love abusing the bug and not admitting it's actually a bug.

-Multiple Mode Queueing: You know how in team fortress 2, you could check a box to decide which game mode you want to play and donāt? Yeah, since the final already have like 6 modes at this point. I think the dev should consider the same system to reduce queue time.
-Friend Status Indicator: A feature showing whether friends are playing solo or in a team, so we don't waste time waiting to join them, only to find they're already in a group. And while weāre at it. It would also be nice to include details such as the current round, game mode, and remaining time to help us decide whether to wait for them or start a new queue without the,.
-Seamless party joining - Similar to the system in Apex Legends, that allow player to join a friend's party even when said friend are mid-game that help reducing the chance of people missing an invite.

The game now is way better balanced since they already did good changes for Light and Medium, but there are still some issues
FCAR balance was really good but now Lewis/M60 are the most powerful guns on the game by far, even when those are on the Heavy build which already is the most powerful and the one with most HP, Heavy automatic should be the same or a bit less powerful than M automatic weapons, there's no reason for the heavy class to also have the most powerful weapons

- 130 dmg on the first hit that can scale up to 350 if you get hit multiple times. (only the first hit deals way more than most of the melee weapons and those that deal more damage have ~2sec animations for 1 single hit)
- Can break walls. (Only hammer can and it takes a long animation)

- Runs while dealing damage. (now all the melee weapons "can" but charge and slam runs faster)

My feedback is than it should deal only 70dmg with the first hit, then it could keep going down to 50 to prevent "one-shot" Heavy's and Medium with an ability that has so much pros with no cons, it will also make C&S not as powerful in terms of damage to most of the melee weapons since its an ability, there's no reason to be better and more powerful than the melee weapons
Sword emote cancel, this exploit makes sword completely broken, a skilless glitch than lets sword players deal damage twice as fast, should be removed afap.

Cannot emphasize enough how often this happens. Literally just had an enemy I'd reduced to one hit accidentally kill himself by using the grenade launcher while I was up in his face. Damaged me, killed him. Doesn't count as an assist or kill for me despite me doing literally 100% of the work to kill him
Please base rank off of individual performance more so and less off of whether the team wins or not (maybe like 60/40%). Many times teammates are trash but yet I still go down in rank as a solo player. It's very difficult to progress in the ranks if your teammates usually suck. I've seen teammates go 0 and 9 and they are same rank lol.

I know the game was originally looking to achieve a "realistic" look with the characters and to a certain level with the maps, but at this point, where the cosmetics and weapons have more extravagant, less serious and silly appearances, it wouldn't be bad that the aesthetics of the game would change too.

Give the grapple one more charge and ensure that using the grapple doesn't cancel the invisible effect.
It's the only specialization in the light class that doesnāt assist in close combat, where most of the action takes place. I think itās only fair that it receives a significant buff to balance how unviable it is, despite being incredibly fun. Also, I donāt think a buffed grapple light would be too difficult to counter since enemies in predictable airborne trajectories are usually easier to target. Plus, if the light chooses to grapple to a nearby object, they trade distance for speed, but if they opt for a farther object, it gives their enemies more time to react and attack while the hook is in transit.
By giving the grapple more charge we allow light and allowing him to simatneously stay invisible with vanishing bomb while grapple

I would really like the tolerance to change for pinging ziplines because most of the time I'm trying to ping enemies, a stray zipline somehow takes priority even though the center of my crosshair is actually closer to the enemy
Suggestion to make it easier to navigate to the career screen from the contracts screen, or show the circuit rewards in the contracts menu itself
also, make the "damage 1 opponent with an arena carriable" contract more reliable... it doesn't count gas, flames, or like.. anything other than a direct hit with the red barrel, which most of the time doesn't even register as well

This way, light still has some utility, and the stun gun actually has use to it.
Can we extend the glitch grenade effect to last 7 seconds instead of 5? It doesn't seem right that anyone can now apply 5-second glitches without sacrificing a slot to bring them. Yes, the glitch grenade is more consistent since you don't need to rely on RNG to find a glitch barrel. However, considering that the glitch barrel also avoids being targeted by APS, I think it's only fair to give the glitch grenade a bit more effectiveness.
Plus having a second glitch grenade doesn't make much difference anyway if you're already skilled at throwing them, since you'll most likely be shooting your gun to eliminate enemies rather than glitching them a second time. Also, I feel like 5 seconds is almost too short. I can't tell you how many times a no-voice chat light teammate glitched an enemy, and I failed to capitalize on the opportunity because the effect was too brief.
The same goes for the glitch mine. The mine is extremely inconsistent and has a horrible cooldown. Most of the time, you wonder why not just use a mine that kills enemies instead of glitching them. So, could we also please increase the glitch mine's duration to maybe 8 seconds? I think itās fair since the mine either hits someone or does nothing all game.

A player was kicked from the game shortly after I reported him, so people don't hesitate to report cheaters, embark has become very careful about cheaters. @rough herald what warning its rather an invitation to not hesitate reporting cheaters

The audio in your field of view is enhanced and louder and everything outside of it is lowered or muffled depending on various factors such as your position, grenades, etc. the only thing is that the sound gets really low itās not ārealisticā . For example someone could throw a grenade in front of you and you can hear the grenade loud and clear. Now if you just turn 180 degrees and the person throws the grenade the audio significantly gets lower. Itās like the audio works like parabolic microphone that enchances in which direction you aim it at and everything not in it gets quiet but thatās not how ears work. They donāt work in only a 90 degree angle lol
A lot of games underestimate the power of a good audio system especially when a game like the finals can get hectic and visually cluttered because of being able to destroy the environment or weather. Youāre relying on audio to navigate

Something that I think should be seen is color variations for some skins. A lot of them could use extra colors/variations really well, like the bat or the pencil would be easy ones to change a bit and still be effective. I'm not saying all skins should have this, but for some skins it would just make sense. We've already kinda seen this with the football collection with all the different colors. it isn't viable. if you don't want to increase damage to avoid 2 bursting lights I would suggest making the 93R work like it is in the battlefield series (or in real life): there's no delay between bursts: you can immediately fire another burst without a cooldown

Hey, i don't know if i'm the only one with this opinion, but i think there need to be some change on the chest value/kill/wipe value in ranked games. The early game is not impactful enough, with 10k chests, when the 3rd one is 22k. Maybe bring every chest to the same valuye, and add more value to kills / wipes, in my opinion would drastically impact early, mid and late game decisions.
The problem with ranked games that my friends and I have experienced is the frustration of doing great for most of the game, and seeing the team that barely played steal the cashout at the end of the game, and being qualified. I understand the idea of trying to give a chance of coming back to everyone, but it is just too fruistrating in this current state.

Day 2 of Throwing knives losing all collision or hurtbox properties. They aren't doing damage and they aren't breaking windows. It comes and goes in the middle of games and it happens pretty consistently through normal gameplay so it shouldn't be hard to replicate. Also using the CD skin if that helps
Remove cloak, buff vanishing bomb. Give light a heal grenade specialization or something that heals themselves a bit and increases movement speed because zoomies

i have and idea. 4 teams of 4. each team has their own train (the objective) the train carries cargo to sell, therefore money. each train has their own track which intersects with each other. teams hv to make sure theyre train is the one that moves away from the intersection first. this can be done by firing on a specific part of the train to slow it down, steal the money to destroy them completely, etc. "cargo chaos"

I highly doubt that 4 teams of 5 would be possible. Most of the gameplay is run on the server side, so embark is spending extra money to allow us to have a decent game experience and just play the game in general rathe then have our machines do the heavy lifting. Having 20 people in the same server would be unbelievably expensive I imagine

I know ranked with a fixed squad would yeald a better result - still I am to old and got to much work to do so I just hop on whenever I got a few minutes maybe an hour or two to play some solo queue - but the experience has gotten worse from day to day. Maybe itās due to the reduced player count or because I am playing on ps5 - I donāt know but I am about to give up on the game which is a shame cause i really love the lore and generall concept of this game.

Game cosmetic suggestion:
- So since season 2 kickoff, we now have a thumbnail showing the participant's intro emote and the player name under it. Let us earn special expressions/titles under that player name (I'm thinking it's already in the works? since so many games offer them). Stuff like "Get good, bro" or "sorry not sorry", "skill issue". Tongue in cheek stuff, wholesome humor nothing toxic. Could even be related to how the player died, like special stuff for grenades/burn, etc. death types.
Titles could be "Built different", etc.
The Dematerializer needs to have deeper penetration, it's too finnicky to use on Las Vegas. Having to spend 2-3 charges to get through one wall is way too much. The dematerialized area just never aligns with the thinner part of the wall, even some floors and ceilings have two layers. It's only one map, but it's really annoying.

I am going to make a case for adding a tdm mode. Here is my thesis. Adding a TDM mode to the finals WILL increase the player counts because it gives new players a familiar way to learn the finals' complex game mechanics.
Honestly I think that sums it up pretty well but my name is Fingle and I like writing long drawn out analysis essays on the finals so WE AINT DONE YET.
I think the biggest issue with this game for new players is the steep learning curve and complexity. Complexity is amazing for dedicated players but difficult for new ones trying out the game. No one enjoys learning and being swamped by 100 new things right after booting up a game for the first time. I mean just think back to the last time you tried a new game out. It's overwhelming. Now think about how overwhelming the finals is to get into! Not only do you have 3 distinct classes with unique gadgets and weapons, you have completely never before seen gamemodes. Imagine opening up a brand new game, hitting quick play and seeing 4 game modes, none of which are familiar at all. Like, wtf is a "bank it" or a "powershift"? I thought I was playing a multiplayer fps not payday 2! Give me so thing I'm familiar with!
That is exactly why I think a TDM mode would be extremely helpful to the health of this game. It let's new players experience and learn this beautifully complex and chaotic game in chunks instead of all at once. Let people learn the weapons and classes first in a familiar TDM environment, then once they feel comfortable, they can graduate to the unique gamemodes like bank it and cash out. A big reason people leave this game is they feel like they "suck" and this game is too hard. I think that is because they are bombarded with too many new things too early. This game has a learning curve so giving players a way to ease that learning curve would do wonders for the enjoyment of the learning process.

With the end of the terminal attack event approaching, I think it would be good if the developers re-released the game mode with some changes.
- smaller maps
- slower health regeneration cooldown and slower life regeneration.
- no life regeneration limitation (yes, you can regenerate life up to max HP, but life would take twice as long to start regenerating and it would also regenerate much more slowly)
note: defibrillators, revives and healing beans would still be banned
To balance light, I think it would be Good if you can add stim shots for Light so they can escape and heal and battle

Give a 1.3-1.5x cash boost to cashouts that go unstolen
This provides a benefit to teams who defend well, as well as a reason for teams to actually fight a cash out and try to take it rather than everyone fighting the same cash and leaving the other box and cash out open. Also, big money number is cool.

Dashing and other abilities needs to be disabled or put on a queue during defib revive. Tried spamming dash so i can escape the moment it's done but it used up all of it instead.

Hi, idk if this idea has been pitched or not. It would be cool to have a gadget or gadgets that change your ammo type for 1 clip. Examples:
*Fire Clip - Effective against enemy players. Leaves a burning effect.
*Poison Clip - leaves small puffs of gas where the bullet hits. Could be useful against players hiding behind cover.
*Emp Clip - Effective against Shields and gadgets. Like it does more damage to those than a regular bullet.

- light's sword lunge attack
- and even quick melee can pierce the shield protection!
- the reason the riot shield exists is to protect, and it's not doing a very good job at it.*
my suggestions are:
1. improve the hammer hit detection. ( that's not even a change to the riot shield)
2. change the quick melee of the riot shield to do a "pairing attack, that can push enemies, while doing the normal quick melee damage.
( the last one could be REALLY USEFUL, and would increase the skill required to use riot shield, for example, you could escape the damage of the sword lunge and hammer by pairing at the right time of their attack, and also keep pushing players aways from quick meleeing you until your life regens ).
if you think that feature would make the riot shield annoying, remember that the RS, have 8 counters + can easily defeat it with more than 1 teammate, or just running away from it!
how about we make defib spawn everyone on the same amount of HP...? why does heavy spawn with as much hp as a full hp light? especially when heavy has access to a 700hp mesh shield and a dome shield..

I think limiting rank rewards to a fixed gun skin might not be that great esp if you don't often play the class with the skin. This is just me but I'd be interested in allowing contestants the option to redeem a league skin (gold, plat, dia) of their choice. The charms are fine to add as a reward.

Light can also dash away right after whereas heavy is stuck, usually canāt get a dome or mesh off if theyāre watching you respawn. Also, while I agree sword would take skill to use effectively (literally bringing a knife to a gun fight) I believe there is currently an exploit in the game where emote cancelling gets rid of the animation allowing you to do a double hit, making the sword perform stronger than intended.
@worn sigil āhypeā used to be in the left dpad menu and was a one-click motion, now itās dpad -> left trigger -> then selecting hype, need to be able to spam it all at once, good for team building. Itās like if they were to move āWhat a save!ā From rocket league- hype is becoming iconic in the finals

Hi some feedback. Since the last updaate I have experienced some very clear cheaters. I wondered if there was something missing from the anti cheat or if it needs to be looked at again. Me and my team have always gone away with smiles on our smile but since the last update we have certainly not and found it quite daunting with the amount of very clear cheaters recently. Please can this be looked at. Once I got my mates to try the game they loved it and I don't want them to even think about playing a different gmae. They and I love the game and it honestly deserves good and loyal players. PLEASE PLEASE LOOK AT THIS

I can't have much fun with light anymore (except for sword). The class keeps getting bombarded by disproportionate nerfs and I've found myself doing what I swore I never would...maining heavy.. And I can say with certainty that heavy is much too powerful for a tanky class. I really hope we get rebalancing next season, because I'm losing hope for the light

Can we potentially get 3 to 4 damage added onto the per-shot damage of the 93R for an extra 9 to 12 per burst? Right now as it stands it's DPS makes sense if it's a medium weapon- but it's not, it's a light weapon. it's like a 150 HP Medium with an AKM in terms of damage out put and it just doesn't seem or feel right for it to be in the state it's in.

@keen quiver the whole point of quick play aka unranked is for fast paced matches meaning when one person quits, another joins.
I use quick play as a means of completing challenges, if it not possible to do so because teammates are š© or trolling, then I'll quit and move on to another one.
OR
If a friend jumps on for ranked, I'm quitting and joining.
Why should I get suspended for that, when you'll get another teammate after a few seconds?

The only suspension should rightly be for ranked and all they need to do to fix people leaving in ranked is for them to add loss protection.

Can we extend the glitch grenade effect to last 7 seconds instead of 5? It doesn't seem right that anyone can now apply 5-second glitches without sacrificing a slot to bring them. Yes, the glitch grenade is more consistent since you don't need to rely on RNG to find a glitch barrel. However, considering that the glitch barrel also avoids being targeted by APS, I think it's only fair to give the glitch grenade a bit more effectiveness.
Plus having a second glitch grenade doesn't make much difference anyway if you're already skilled at throwing them, since you'll most likely be shooting your gun to eliminate enemies rather than glitching them a second time. Also, I feel like 5 seconds is almost too short. I can't tell you how many times a no-voice chat light teammate glitched an enemy, and I failed to capitalize on the opportunity because the effect was too brief.
The same goes for the glitch mine. The mine is extremely inconsistent and has a horrible cooldown. Most of the time, you wonder why not just use a mine that kills enemies instead of glitching them. So, could we also please increase the glitch mine's duration to maybe 8 seconds? I think itās fair since the mine either hits someone or does nothing all game.
