I'm a huge fan of The Finals and see a lot of potential. After 20 Years of playing First Person Shooters straight, I got really bored the last years. The Finals brought back the fire - I really missed the Bad Company 2 level of destruction!

I'm daily here and in Steam. The last days are flooded with Cheater-Complaints and it's true.

Reporting feels useless. How do you wanna prove it, when you even can't record a killcam because, there is no? Nor can you spectate them except the cheater is on your team. And even when they got banned, a new account is made in seconds and the cheater is back.

This shouldn't be a rant, rather a crucial game-feedback. I got this from a Steam post. @pearl kiln Please consider:

• Kill cam
• Overwatch
• Force players to spend 10 dollars to unlock ranked. They unlock ranked and get 1150 multibucks so they actually don't spend 10 dollars to unlock ranked.(Handle the burner accounts problem.)
• Phone verification

• Shadowban
• An equivalent to CoD's Ricochet

Killcam is the only reasonable suggestion here. Overwatch will require a lot of work to implement and we need a more established group of reputable players to actually review reports. Being forced to pay to access ranked is probably one of the most stupid suggestions I've ever heard and there are so many ways to spoof phone verification. It will put an extra barrier between returning cheaters but does nothing to deal with the current cheater problem.

please nerf Fcar fire rate and revert damage drop off nerfs. Famas is balanced to be a long range rifle but everyone still picks Fcar bc it's high accuracy and damage at range and it's solid fire rate and damage is still really good at close to medium range. it's all around still the most versatile and overall the best gun in the game.
if it got a fire rate nerf it would still be good at medium to long range but struggle at close range; leading people to pick the akm for its large mag and good close to medium damage as well as the famas for people who want a gun with good medium to long range capabilities while not as weak in close range fights.
each rifle should shine at different aspects but the way the Fcar is now its too strong compared to the famas and the akm making it a no brainer pick in ranked

they need to remove snipers. they're either somewhat useless (in the regular modes), or get abused due to how open some maps are and turn some games (usually power shift) into complete camping fests with AT LEAST one sniper per team, often two, just camping in their spawn or at the top of the map and ruining the fun for everyone.

Overall ranked gains should increase with the round. (similar to how apex gains increase the longer you’ve survived)
I want a live update on my progress of gains during the game. I went to see a system of when I have hit the “safe” zone of points to know I’m no longer in the red for lost rank.
I would like to know more about how I can gain and loose rank. More clarity to how I am being scored.
I would like to see the ability to switch my specialization and weapon either mid game or between rounds. I want to be able to adapt to my opponent and not just switch teams to go after and be hard countered by the other.

Headshot only aimbotters are still a very small subset of cheaters. It won't solve the problem

APS turrets are still ridiculously overpowered in Power Shift. There is currently no way to disable them without trading a body. They stick like barnacles to the platform. My suggestion is a turret health decrease, as trading bullets on enemies vs bullets on turrets is a high tradeoff rn

Day 26 of me begging the devs to give heavy an M134 Minigun as a Specialization.

• 200 Round magazine, ammo is restored two bullets every second, 100 seconds for a full reload.
• 20 rounds per second, eleven damage a round, 220 DPS
• Falloff begins at 30 meters down to six damage a shot at 50, but wide spread means the weapon becomes less effective past 10 meters even against larger targets
• bullets do high damage to structures, allowing a mid-range option to output mass destruction (destroying entire walls on higher floors of buildings, ripping apart nesting sightlines)
• • significant damage to structures and players
• • gun can be pre-spooled with RMB over having an ADS (for obvious reasons, you try to aim down the sights of a water cooler)|
• • high suppressive force through sheer amount of bullets being fired
• • its a goddamn minigun
• - Heavy cannot jump or sprint while holding it, has to switch back to primary
• - lengthy equip-unequip time to balance such
• - gun has to spool up for a second before firing, spool up being LOUD

It’s a fantastic class in isolation. It’s very popular & successful in casual quickplay games.

But it’s practically extinct at high level ranked. Why? Because it dies too quickly.

The quality of its Weapons, Specializations, & Gadgets doesn’t matter when it can’t live long enough to use them. Buffing these aspects makes no sense both for this reason & the fact that they are already some of the very best in the game. As far as I’m concerned the likes of LH1, XP, M11 all actually require nerfs.

Lights are successful in quickplay because it’s a casual mode in which teams are uncoordinated & uncommunicative. It has a far better chance at survival when it can isolate 1v1s against stragglers that cannot call for backup.

But Light will never be viable in coordinated play without a boost to its survival.

A global damage nerf is the best way to achieve this, as the excessive damage all across the game negatively affects every class. The game is designed with a high TTK in mind yet being blown up by extreme damage is standard. Not through skill, ie crits, but common play. Bloated weapons, grenade spam, endless gas, etc. This is especially bad combined with the ridiculous 10s delay on health regen.

Global nerfs to the many sources of extreme damage will both enable Light’s viability & make the overall game feel far better.

The ranking system has to be rework. Once your high enough in the leaderboard you’r not allowed to make any mistake. Even going to the finals and losing there, getting 2nd place makes you lose point. The only way to go up is to win an entire tournament wich makes no sens. It is very frustrating to play and do good for more than 30min but still lose rank points for not winning the tournament

I don't know what's the solution, but I do think the main problem with the game that prevents it from reaching the big league (beyond cheaters and meta balance) is the fact that it's simply not fun for solo players after we get out the honey moon phase ( +- 60h played time).

When the game stop being fresh, the game stop being fun. Ranked is way beyond unbrearable as a solo player, and even casual modes get beyond frustrating. Teamates just don't gaf about anything most of the time, leave after a few minutes if they loose which they do because they run without purpose or sync.

You're left with a minigame trying to save your KDA because you know you just can't win anyway. The fact that you get thrown into a loss every 3 to 4 games because of the leavers makes it even worse.

Youll kill a medium, their teammate will come in, defib it, youll use the rest of your mag on them, and the next guy gets up, defibs his ally, and starts shooting you. You die because you dont have the health or ammo to kill three and a half mediums in one go. Cheap defibs are still way too easy to get away with, especially since defib ghosts can block bullets, so you cant even punish those mediums half the time because they now have a shield to hide behind until that ally is back up.

Defib ghosts shouldnt block bullets, and should either be killable to cancel the revive and punish cheap revives, or defibs should be blocked from use directly after a medium revives for 5 seconds.

recoil nerfs don’t do anything. especially given the fact this game has recoil smoothing. the gun is still objectively the best medium weapon but just feels worse to use. meaning more people just have to deal with a gun that feels worse now because it’s far more viable competitively. the weapon doesn’t really have a relevant downside. ammo hardly matters when you can kill a class in one clip easily and only have to reload after they’re dead

It's good to see FCAR getting a couple of nerfs. Harder to control, weaker at long ranges, but even then, that's nowhere near enough. It’s just one part of the picture. I've spoken to people here and there, and they said it's not enough. It's still strong at all ranges, especially close range. The TTK is still too low. I've said in my previous feedback post that it's not only the recoil that is overpowered (which got nerfed), but also the damage.

It needs one more damage nerf. I disagree with those who say it's the fire rate that needs a nerf as that will make controlling the recoil easier, but reducing the damage per bullet by 1 once more would definitely give the balance it needs.

I think at least 2-3 anti gravity bombs should be better, the range wider taller and stronger towards center.

I've got an idea for power shift. The sniping meta is way too strong and annoying to deal with right now so it makes the mode not very fun to play more than a few games. I think they should limit how many players can use the same class at a time to be a max of 2. I have encountered multiple teams of 3+ light snipers and it's just not enjoyable to play when you spend the majority of the game getting sniped before you can make it to the platform. By global I do not mean nerfs to every single thing, but to anything deemed above the desired power level regardless of class.

Light is the most negatively affected by the bloated power level that dominates the game, but the other classes are still affected.

Grenade spam and endless gas worsens the experience for all classes, even if not to an equal degree. XP/M11 melting a M/H with solely body shots isn’t enjoyable.

I’d like to see anything that’s an outlier in this regard toned down. This includes some Light weapons, even though M/H clearly do need more damage nerfs.

Solely give L more health and a weapon like the 93R will still lose most matchups even though it’s a fine weapon by itself. Because other weapons are totally broken with no downsides.

Damage nerfs across the game could reign in outliers to the level of the 93R; a weapon that can still melt with successive crits but takes notably longer with solely bodyshots & has actual downsides. AKA a weapon with skill expression & depth.

Most of my balance desires can be seen here, and +10HP to Light is included. I just think the overall power level needs to be reduced alongside that:

Famas is balanced to be a long range rifle but everyone still picks Fcar bc it's high accuracy and damage at range and it's solid fire rate and damage is still really good at close to medium range. it's all around still the most versatile and overall the best gun in the game.
if it got a fire rate nerf it would still be good at medium to long range but struggle at close range; leading people to pick the akm for its large mag and good close to medium damage as well as the famas for people who want a gun with good medium to long range capabilities while not as weak in close range fights.

Just played a final against an MMM team with 3x FCAR, 2 healing beams, defibs and a dematerializer and it was impossible to get to the cashout. stun gun is fine as any class that can shoot back, but it's a hard counter to melee, which was already an unfairly punishing playstyle.

Could we maybe halve the stun time if the person stunned is carrying a melee weapon? I think that's more than fair.

EDIT: @foggy orbit a person with a gun can easily catch out a light with stun, yes. However, when you're using melee it doesn't matter if you can spot them or catch them out. The shot on you while you're trying to close the gap is so easy it might not even be existent.

And once you are stunned it is 100% of the time a death sentence unless the light has an actual IRL stroke. Simply because you cannot reach them to fight back, and can't move to run away.

This ONLY applies to people using melee weapons. For someone with a ranged weapon, dying to light stun gun is kind of just a skill issue, lol.

Sword emote cancel glitch should be fixed

This glitch have been around for some time and it hasn't been fixed yet, it allows the player to cancel the Alt-fire end animation of the sword by using an "T" emote (spray, sound or blank space), letting the player to hit way faster than is intended as you can see on the next comparation between how fast you can hit with and without the glitch, also, remember than I have no experience with the glitch so it can be done even better and faster.

If you think you need wallhacks to counter invis players I think it's safe to assume you probably don't have much playtime in the game or play super casually (which is fine) here are some tips to help:

Listen out for cloak activation sounds

• These sounds are made when lights activate the cloaking device, or use a vanish bomb. It's also good to note vanish bomb has an extremely loud cloak enter sounds and can be heard from over 70 meters away.
• When you hear a light enter into cloak, there's a good chance within time frame of around 10 seconds, they will try to get within close range to you, so be aware during this time.

Listen out for other cloak sounds

• Cloak is extremely loud while the light is in motion regardless of stance, so a crouch walking light can be heard with the same clarity as a cloaked lights sprinting. This lets you know lights are nearby, and with the context of the situation, you can try to deduct if he is either looking for you, passing by, or just closing into your position.
• When the cloaking device is deactivated, a decloak sound is played, this is a useful cue as you know the light is no longer visible, allowing you to hunt them down with certainty of them not hiding in plain sight, be sure to pay attention and make sure you listen out for the cloak activation sound again, as that means the light is cloaked again.
• Although lights can be invisible when standing still, they also don't make any noise, so if a light is making noise with their cloak and it suddenly stops, you also know the light has also stopped, so you spray around the area you stopped hearing the cloak and you have a decent chance of finding him.

An ally a game keeps the light away

• If you are still unsure or not confident in taking a fight against a light, sticking with an ally is the best way to ensure lights will have a smaller window of opportunity to kill you, and either one can finish off the light and revive. I can provide more tips if needed.

If you're also using dematerializer from the floor ABOVE, you can easily reshape an object that's on the floor. However it CAN'T change the item if you're doing it from the floor BELOW.

the game has just so many aspects that are infuriating for no reason. The melee aim assist causes insane amounts of frustration and exclusively works against you, never in your favor. So often do I swing at an enemy and it just hijacks my aim and makes me lose the target, often making it so I now have my back turned against them. The fake weapon sway is just straight up bad game design, why would you force me to use a monitor crosshair to be able to hit shots? There are a ton of bugs that permanently disable your healing gun or cause your gun to jam. They keep buffing and nerfing weapons in ways that barely make any sense, like I don't think they even know what they want with the Famas. And don't get me started on the slug shotgun, that thing is just garbage and not even fun to use, why is the fall-off that atrocious when it's insanely hard to hit people with it from a distance?

feOn to balancing now. I know the dev teams are trying their best at balancing, but I feel like just nerfing things over and over again and eventually removing them is the wrong way to do it. Rather than nerfing and eventually removing them, why not add counterplay to them? Take the example of the "nuke". I was fine with the nerfs so far in season 1, but in season 2, you guys decided to completely make the nuke useless. There were so many ways you could approach it, either make other gadgets able to counter it better, or make the nukes themselves more risk-reward. Instead, you opted to over-nerf it to the ground. You guys do say that you go off by data for balancing, but it feels like it's more about listening to the wrong side of the community, aka the whiners, and not the competitive and passionate casuals. Some reason of yours of "removing" stuff is so you can work it out later on. I would much rather you guys keep it in the game and still actively balancing it out rather than the lazy way of removing it now and fixing it later. Afterall, removing it does change the game and meta, which changes isn't bad once in a while but I feel like having it in and changing it through time is a much better and healthier way.

SUPER important feedback for overall playability of the game. Cashout CAN NOT stand in for casual tournament. Because people fight for first in that mode not first or second it results in most encounters being 4 teams on one objective. Quick cash is 3 teams on one objective, a scenario that CAN happen but is not ideal and is avoidable through conscious gameplay in tournament format modes. We need a reliable mode to warm up for ranked with and all these modes are too chaotic to get clean encounters in except for ranked and power shift but power shifts formula is too different to be viable for warming up teamplay.

Ranked tournaments are not fun at all. People are too sweaty when a rank is involved. You never see a light player. Casual players can only play games that take 8 minutes because of unranked tournaments being removed.

BUFF THE RIOT SHIELD:
Here's some suggestions, I know all of these together would make the shield pretty strong but even 1 or 2 would be enough to improve it so much!:

• While blocking movement speed should be the same as walking (increasing block movement speed would help a lot in pushing and giving your teammates support)
• Increase swing speed (Honestly a lot issues would be solve with this, the weapon lacks a good ttk)
• Lunge distance (90% of the fight become a chase you can't win, the other classes have ways to block enemies, slow them down or catch up to them, even heavies have RPG to finish people off if they use sledge)
• Increase damage from 84 to 90 (to kill heavies in 4 hits instead of 5)
• Electrify the baton and give it a glitch effect, when you hit somebody they're glitched for 2,5 sec (This would give the shield so much utility and would help the team greatly, making it a viable options)
• Remove the fov zoom when you hold your shield up (it's very annoying that when you block the screen zooms in, either remove it or add the option to choose between affected or indipendent fov while aiming)

ALLOW MELEE WEAPONS TO KEEP SPRITING WHEN ATTACKING:

• This would help them to compete

IMPROVE MELEE TRACKING:

• Some weapons like the Dagger have an insane lock that is not needed, on the other hand the Riot Shield has a very weak lock, you can't even hit people in your face sometimes. Consider increasing the angle at which the lock works and reduce the lock strenght on the Dagger

FIX THE DAGGER BACKSTAB:

• Backstabs with the Dagger are the most incosistent thing I've ever seen, a lot times either nothing happens or it's not backstab even though you're right behind them and other times it is when you're literally in front of them
• Increase the backstab hitboxes because the latency of the servers causes this problems
• Make it so you can hold the backstab and it's not a forced animation, revert it like it was in the Open Beta

I believe devs is working hard to address the cheating problem, but there is no positive feedback from the reporting system. The system cannot immediately ban cheaters in the game. Even if the cheater is subsequently banned, the player will not be compensated, so what is the point of a reporting system for the player? What we need is timely justice, not late justice.

Ive been playing with my friends for a while, the matchmaking is absolutely terrible for a us. As a team of two silver fours and a gold one (i happened to reach the final in my two placement tournaments) we match up against higher ranked, more skilled players than us every single game. There is almost never a match without diamonds, and we actually have met no team with a similar in rank to ours . Even though we obviously get knocked out the first round every tourney we still do not rank down for a chance of more fair games. It is not a fun experience.

Some customization options make no sense. Apparently, you can't put some accessories together even if these don't interfere with each other; making character customization less creative and often repetitive

• Tattoos and face painting should have their own categories
• Glasses and masks should have their own categories

The existence of clothing recolor is fine, what's not fine and nonsense is separating the original from their variations even considering those are simple recolors; making character customization less diverse and often repetitive

• You should be able to change the t-shirt of certain jackets/hoodies
• You should be able to change the clothing/accessories of certain apparel if they have the same name but different color variations (e.g. the spotlight garb and flak vest)

why the fuck am i losing rank for reaching round 4?

I just played a game of ranked and won the first round, then i get disconnected from the game because of "system integrity violation" for having a "disallowed tool".
Firstly, I don't use any form of third party software that enhances in game performance. And I've completely rinsed my computer for macros and crosshair programs I previously used for other games.
Secondly, when I reconnected to the game again after launching back up, the league progression system gave me an arrow up for winning the initial round. But when my team lost the second round in the same game I got to arrows down. Which leads me to think that the league progression system counts the two rounds from the same game, as two separate games if you disconnect between rounds.
I've played the game for 500+ hrs and I don't want to get kicked out of games for nothing to lose points, and I don't want to get banned either since I don't cheat whatsoever.
Also, your support ticket system has some flaws. I'm not able to close a ticket if I chose the wrong initial prompt, so there's no restarting the support process.

Heavy- Minigun, infinite ammo but 2 sec round up time and after 10 sec the barrel will overheat, if you don’t let it overheat aka use it for 9 secconds your able to use it whenever you want, but if it overheats at 10 secconds you have to wait until it’s fully cooled down, damage around 5 and long range super inaccurate, no sights just zooms in a little bit like the KS-23 and it also does high arena damage, if the bullets go by or hit near an enemy they are suppressed aka their screen gets zoomed in and a bit fuzzy and they walk a little slower and their recoil is a bit higher

Give it a per-destroy cool down of 0.5 - 1 second. This way you can spam nades as a team like Cederico mentioned.

Give it 'charges' that need to recover. Say 4-5 charges that take 4-5 seconds to recover each. This way it can destroy nades as normal until it runs out of charges and becomes useless until a new charge is recovered.

Every time it destroys a gadget, it loses about 10% of it's health.

It also shouldn't be able to destroy gadgets through walls. That's just silly.

The APS should be powerful, but it should be countered with good co-ordination. I wouldn't even mind if it's radius is increased following these changes

Maybe something to make achievements actually something.... rewarding?
Like completing them will give you a cosmetic according to that challenge, similar to how cosmetics for Specializations, weapons and gadgets work.

For example getting this specific achievement gives you a shirt or some charm.

Can anyone tell me what exactly determines a kill-assist? I just won a game with 14 assists, and on my screen I got the kill almost every time but my teammate gets the point every time

Even if you deal 99% damage towards the enemy's health, if your teammate deals the remaining 1%, then they receive the elimination, while you receive the assist.

Unfortunately the ranked system is now worse since we can somewhat see our rank up’s, I was at three full chevrons, got a semi final win and dropped down to one chevron. Then I played again, got a semi final again and went back to three chevrons. And just now I got another semi finals finish and dropped to two chevrons. Like wtf 😂 shit makes no sense

You know that it Shows how much you rank up/down after each Match and NOT the whole Progression for the next rank. If I get 3 Chevrons up then i get a lot of ranked points. One chevron up only gives a few ranked points

I havent played since the update, but I can already tell you they're not "chevrons", they're arrows, and they're given on a per-game basis. The number of arrows indicates the amount of rank change and in what direction.

its not hard to get enough players, like fixer said, just get rid of sbmm in public and this game would blow up. than you automatically have more ranked players, no more waiting time of 10 minutes and a better pool of players to match fairly. But there is one more problem why the matchmaking is mixed of EVERY RANK and its not only the amount of players... why is the highest rank just Diamond??? you cant match fairly with just 5 different ranks, its impossible. And add a god damn kill cam so we can finally see if someone is really hacking or just freaking good, you never know

What if light had a Rope Dart weapon, it would be melee ofc and would do less damage than most other melee weapons but would compensate by having a longer range and wide swings that could hit multiple opponents.
It could also be much more effective while in the air as a fun wacky gimmick.

You need to fix the cheater issue in the game ASAP. One ranked lobby and a light player playing LH1 got 20k+ combat score hitting shots on top of the crane in seoul and I died to him whenever I was in his sight (even when he was like 500m away from me for example hospital). And one heavy playing m60 missed no sprays from like 60 70 meters away and cleary was wallhacking...
