Gas needs to be nerfed or outright removed, throwing it on the cashout box completely denies the enemy from stealing it, which is OP. Frag or goo should neutralise it or it should have way lower damage. In battelfield 1 gas was fair becuase everyone had a gasmask and it's only downsides we're reduced vision and no ADS, in this game we have no such luxury

Feedback can be positive too so I must say that the destruction in this game is absolutely fantastic. I do wish that this game embraced it's movevement shooter side more, because using a sword and the dash special makes me feel like demoman from tf2

hi everyone! just wanted to bring my criticism about the game! since thats what this is here for.
i played the closed beta, and open beta, and currently have 60+ hours into the live version.

here are the big things that i found:
heavy: the lewis gun currently has too much dmg per bullet based on the clip size and range the weapon has.
the mesh shield has a little too big of a healthpool, based on the damage you can put out.
rpgs do too much damage based on having low hp types (lights), maybe a bigger splash damage and less dmg overall?

medium: whilst the healing beam is a really cool idea, i think the healing p/s is too high, if you stack healing beams you can literally make a person immortal almost.
jump pad: if you place the jump pad right under you, you run right over it, instead of making quick precise plays with it.
model 1887: the model is really balanced, although the reloading animation of reloading 1 bullet and then shooting is really janky, and is only useable when you hip fire.
guardian turret: guardian turrets have too much hp for how strong they are.

light: cloaking device: really cool stealthy way too play and very satisfying, although standing still and becoming completely invisible brings no counterplay to it, maybe a little too op.
sh1900: this seems like the counter weapon to heavies, but a little too strong per shot, maybe dim the dps.
throwing knives: throwing knives are completely useless, maybe a little longer range, and the ability to hold the second fire when you want to release it, instead of it being in a running animation?
sr-84: the crosshair on this is all over the place, damage seems fine if you know how to snipe well, and can be very effective.

overall: mines are currently the meta on points, but you can stack it way too much, and the duration is way too long on mines.
and my last overall addition: everyone and their mother are installing crosshair overlays, i think that says enough about what we need with the crosshair 🙂

launch was honestly pretty smooth for me, especially by todays atrocious standards. this last week however, its been rough matchmaking, i have a good rig, and my internet is amazing.

but most guys are missing a team or players from multiple teams.

then they patch, and its ok i guess, minus the stupid "play button" bug, and the "multi or no contenders" bug. and then the no matching at all.

Light Cloak, Sawn-off, and SR-84 : Agreed there too.

Throwing knives are borderline more DPS than the LH1 up close. If you play within range, you have pretty damn insane DPS, to the point you can use Dash + Knives to out-DPS a Hvy.

Agreed on the right click, would be nice to hold it and choose when to let it go, but this is also SUPREMELY strong. If you hit both knives in the head you instantly delete Lights, do 90%+ damge to Mediums, and hella chunk Heavies.

They're in a very good spot right now, but they're extremely difficult to use due to the heavy drop off, so that's why yolks use them up close to shred other yolks.

(Smoke nades counter fire mines. Fire nades counter poison mines.)

Their duration / the amount of mines COULD be limited, consider how "funnel-y" the game is towards very tiny ATM-sized points.. they can cover a bit too much area if you ask me.

Some thoughts:
➡️ Light Class is the most annoying so far, but that’s their role. Go in, have intense engagements and go out (or don’t and you will get melted). You’re also able to runaway faster which would help your team to avoid getting wiped even if they get obliterated early. But you cannot be grouped up too much which puts a burden in your team and yourself, since you have to be opportunistic and don’t die alone.
➡️ Stun Gun should only be available to equip with melee (including throwing knifes) and snipers. If this gets implemented decrease its CD. Feels unfair to be able to immobilize an enemy and emptying an entire clip with no REAL drawback.
➡️ Sawed-Off Shotgun deals too much damage, BUT it feels that way because players are able to mitigate the only drawback this weapon has by using the Cloaking Device ability. This can be fixed by slightly nerfing gun damage (which won’t address the root issue) or giving this ability a drawback for ex. Using Cloaking Device Reduces the damage of your equipped weapon by ?%.
➡️ Medium Class should not have wallhacks, instead give them another healing mechanic that doesn’t require line of sight that grants small healing burst. Also, you can’t heal allies through enemy Dome Shields (this is really annoying)
➡️ Medium Class should revive allies faster at base.
➡️ Medium Class players should passively receive a percentage of the healing done to allies while using the Healing Beam since they’re not able to defend themselves.
➡️ If someone gets revived, refill their ammunition (I already have the punishment of respawning with half HP).
➡️ Let me skip the intros.
➡️ Insta-reload when I empty a clip (not sure if not having this is intended).
➡️ Let me give my coins to an ally (Bank it), for ex. I would love to give my coins to a Light class ally if I’m playing Heavy.

north america, last night trying to queue with 2 friends, constant matchmaking failed errors and then one or 2 party members gets put into a lobby with no players while the party leader is still queuing in the menu, took 10-15 attempts to get everyone in the same game and there was always 1 or 2 people missing from the enemy teams. We ended up giving up after 3 games because of it

+1 for the sawn off being a tad too strong, but I'd make uncloaking an animation that takes time if you use a ranged weapon (outside of knives), it would achieve a similar thing; slow down the "cloaked to shooting" time.
+1 for base revive time on Medium, but only if something is done about the defib. Why buff their revive rate when defib.'s instant? 😅
BIG +1 for intro skipping and giving people a toggle option to let them insta-reload on empty mag.
+1 for the bank it idea, would love a "throw coin" button implemented.

Considering the damage output lights have, I feel like giving them a stun gun that prevents ability use, jumping, crouching... basically gives them a free kill. I wouldn't give the glass cannon this ability, it makes it overpowered. I'd give stun gun to Medium / Heavy instead. When picking up cash boxes and revives the game prioritizes reloading and you will have to press it twice to register that you want to pick it up (I have them set to the same button) which can make you miss a cash box or revive if you are running by and trying to pick it up fast

2 gamemodes for a game like this are VERY LITTLE, you should add new gamemodes as soon as possible, as well as maps.
In a game like this every possible gamemode can be added just for fun, not just competitive but even casual games.

SOME SUGGESTIONS:

-4v4 or 5v5 Capture The Flag, but instead of the flag both teams fight for a cash box they have to keep in their cash machine until they reach like 50K
-Survival: players having to survive calamities in maps which have sections that can just fall into oblivion if something broke their foundations and kill the players in them
-Deathrun with randomly generated courses with the already existing buildings the game has (just wishful thinking here)

The way this game is made probably allows any kind of casual fun minigame just for the lols.
I say even team deathmatch with kill confirmation(which will be coins for the team) would be possible.

Heavy
-Reduce the damage of C4/mine barrel tossing.
-Make RPG not one-shot initially but gain damage the further it goes.
-Possibly nerf the shotgun, but see how heavy performs with the other two changes first.
-Flamethrower is ass, it needs something.

Medium
-Turret is ass, it's just a bullet sponge. Buff/rework it, make it more threatening and a bit squishier.
-FCAR could use a tiny bit more damage per bullet, more ammo doesn't make sense for it's design.
-Damage immunity on defibbed teammates isn't super impactful usually but can be obnoxious in scenarios where defibbing would otherwise make zero sense and be a death wish, get rid of it.
-Tracking dart is ass, rework it completely, rename it. You could even remove it it's that useless and nobody would bat an eye, but it's already in the game so no point.
-CL-40 I just never really see as super valuable, it needs something and I honestly can't say what. Someone with more experience can probably figure this out.

Light
-Health should start regenerating faster than the other classes. If it's going to be self-reliant then make damn well sure that it actually is.
-Bolt action sniper needs something, game is CQC too often for it to be all that valuable. Sure, if you're an aim god you can make it work, but you get more value out of the XP overall and if you're super CQC the shotgun eats anyone alive.

Overall
-Melee weapons are really weak, there needs to be something done to the melee weapons, if not in a blanket fashion, give them something more individually. The sledge in particular is really bad, light's sword at least has a thrust/dash to it and their dagger can one-shot light/medium and leave heavies killable by quick melee (albeit, a bit clunkily).
-The game needs to do a better job of incentivizing having defibb on medium equipped and glitch nade on light equipped, they're crucial tools for the two classes and if you aren't using them you're trolling.

C4/mined barrels really don't seem bad to me. I've had people shoot them out of my hands often enough and kill me, I think partially people just need to adapt. The only thing I could maybe say is barrels need to take fewer shots to destroy which would allow for more counterplay. There really isn't a good way to nerf this anyways without hurting mines/C4 tremendously or making barrels worthless by themself.

RPG is also fine, I think the issue with RPG dealing 180 damage more stems from how light players choose to play. I think most people assume light should be able to 1v1 every other player, and that's just not how the class is designed.

Shotgun is whatever, not a hill I'll die on, I think it's fine though. Flamethrower is pretty bad but I'd like to see people develop it more first.

Turret is pretty awful yeah, it needs to do more damage or provide an additional effect.

I don't think defib should be changed at all, there's just some inconsistency that I've noticed where sometimes players are revived at full health? If defib brought people back at 100 hp across the board it would feel better I think.

Tracking dart is fine, it would be a bit better if the player who got tagged with it didn't notice they were tagged, but it's perfect vision on a player for a very long time. Very useful in a team that pays attention.

I've seen people tear ass with the CL-40, it's fine as is.

Regen change for light could be warrented, but I think light is fine as is. Same with the sniper, I think people are wanting something out of light that it isn't.

That guys not a member of the dev team nor a mod, but anyways, this glitch is affecting matchmaking for all modes, theres no real disabling, and with a limited time for competitive (even if its long) will raise complaints if competitive is disabled also, as said by others, just avoid playing for now if its too egregious for you.

The game is designed with counters for every class and weap/utility. Literally. So stop crying and learn how to play your class and utilize utilities correctly. This can be a difficult game for some people. There are huge skill gaps. I don’t want everyone’s crying to ruin a great balanced game please. The only issue is if your team comp is countered by another’s team comp there’s not much you can do…but this is also why you have a reserve so you can switch weap/utilies mid match if you’re comp is being countered.

First. I love the game. If there wasn't a shop, I'd still look for ways to try to contribute to support the game. I'll happily support you guys! there's clear passion for this game from the team and it comes through clearly. I have played about 120hrs between open beta and week 1 of release and have 3 pieces of feedback (none are balance, bugs, or crash related)
🛑 Input based matchmaking. For ergonomic reasons, I play on controller on PC (I dont have a console). I have performed fairly well, but I have been harassed before for using controller instead of M&K. I know this is a hot topic sometimes, but just sharing my experience.
🛑 A ranked and unranked tournament playlist for solo queues. We all like to get sweaty sometimes, but not necessarily have friends to join us. I know I can find randoms that love the game as much as I do, but even with full synergy, we won't beat a team of 3 friends.
🛑 Although I absolutely love the cosmetics. Specially the near future urban stuff, I struggle getting use out of the pieces that are designed solely to work as a set without consideration on how they might look with few other pieces, specially true with the outfits in the battlepass. I cant get full use of a lot of the pieces because of how they were designed, and I don't want to use a full outfit to look like everyone else that also has it.

If you can’t properly protect your cashout, it’s not the game’s problem, it’s solely your problem. The game is competitive and the fight for cashout must literally continue until the last second of the timer. Otherwise, you and your team let the types through to the cashout and give it to them, that’s your problem.

Constant bug when queuing.

You'll queue with friends and it will randomly state "X player cancelled queue" for no reason, once getting a match it will state "reconnect" instead of loading in occasionally too. After finally getting into a match through these errors there is a 50% chance the entire team will be banned without reason, even if some or all loaded in before anything started.

Any ETA on this fix? Making the game unplayable (literally when it comes to the exponential ban lengths)

We have 3 gadget slots, but some gadgets feel like autoincludes. Defib as medium, RPG as heavy, they're really fun and great tools but their importance to the identity of the classes kinda imposes itself on other options, pushing other things out.

Can we maybe get gadgets broken up into offensive, defensive, and utility... and then you could only pick one of each? I think it would help some people feel a bit better if heavy could take RPG -or- C4, but not both. It would also help with balancing if a gadget could be evaluated against fewer other options.

Having invisible players really makes it less enjoyable. Its really risky to include in the game and it really needs to be looked over if its gonna work. It creates a really unfair advantage and like not being able to see the enemy is fucked, and very, very, very frustrating.

The game feels way more hardcore now compared to betas. Not sure if the weapons got easier to use or something but its sooo sweaty every match, like you cant miss a single shot or youre dead.

(As far as the light's specialization goes) Invisibility is loud, there's a shimmer, any amount of damage removes their invis, there's multiple tools that directly counter invis... For the vanishing bomb, most of this still applies except for it being loud, and it only lasts 5 seconds.

I think invis is perfectly fine, people just need to spend more time adapting to it.

But the point is that this game isn't about DPS, it's not a deathmatch or all about kills, lights need to provide information to the team, distract enemies, finish kills, rescue revive statues, etc. They have a ton of utility and usefulness to a team, their identity isn't purely rooted in "deal damage good and fast". It's totally fair for 3 lights to be a bad team, the game isn't really designed for that.

Completely wrong. In a 1v1 scenario a heavy will beat a medium but a light will always beat a heavy unless the light is throwing. The light has more avalible movement and evasive options, higher dps so health disparity doesn't even matter, smaller hit box, etc. Light is self sufficient, while the heavy needs their team or else they get picked off because they lack range and movement.

Capping cash point should not allow the game to end until they let go or stop capping, having the game end whilst someone is capping artificially shortens the timer, because at a certain point you can't cap in time so there's no point in having the circle continue going down cus you can't cap it.

We have DPS numbers, and the heavy (aside from the sawn off for light) can kill the light faster than the light can kill the heavy in every circumstance, and that's even ignoring the fact that rpgs oneshot lights. The light doesn't even have that much more dps than the heavy, averaging around 280~ DPS depending on weapon, compared to heavy's 230~ with relevant weapons (rip flamethrower).

I don't think it's as simple as "light should kill heavy unless heavy is throwing", it's overly reductive and seems to assume the light player is significantly better than the heavy player, with an inability to track the movement, land an equivalent amount of shots, and react to the light's presence.

the issue is this can be caused by almost anything. My guess is there's a VRAM leak that just slowly drains away memory. I'd check task manager while playing to see if you're actually running out of memory or if the game is lying and it's caused by something. Also make sure you're on latest drivers

if you're referring to using the win API shit like writeprocessmemory(), yes that's (usually) blocked. people are just starting to move to the "second" easiest option now, which is just loading a driver to access the game. there's a difference between "detecting" and "stopping" cheats. Yes, EAC can in theory detect drivers, if the one you're using gets detected. However, EAC cannot "stop" you from cheating via a driver, hence people can just load/compile their own fucking driver and start hacking away, with no punishment.

EAC Already supports Linux! (take Apex Legends for example, runs on Linux completely fine using EAC!)

The problem is the devs of The Finals is either using their own anti-cheat that they made or they disabled Proton support in their EAC dashboard. Whichever the case may be, adding support to Proton is very, very easy, and you don't have to manage and update your game/anti cheat for two different operating systems. Since Proton is a compatibility layer, playing under Proton is pretty much the same as playing under Windows 10, so it won't add any "Linux Specific" bug reports, or bring "Linux Specific" problems that won't affect Windows 10/11 users as well.

Invis isn’t op, it’s easy to counter light. The only time I’d say it’s op is being able to stun while invis bc it makes it really hard to fight once you’re stunned. The only thing I feel like the game needs to work on is balancing heavies and making enemy footsteps easier to hear directionally. I feel like audio on teammates is much louder than enemies and it makes it difficult to be aware of ur surroundings , I play every class and I think the only unbalanced things is heavy rpg and the cloak stun combo. Daily request/reminder to revert Bank It to it's Open Beta state - 2 vaults, 3 cash out points. The flow the game had with the OB settings was near-perfect and unique to Bank It.

Post-launch Bank It is a fraction of a shadow of a thought of it's former self.
1 vault and 2 cash out points has ruined the gamemode's flow and turned it into a Moshpit Simulator™️.

There is no more thinking involved. Objective 1 - get the vault. Objective 2 - go to the cashout point with the most time remaining (because the first one is too dangerous 99.5% of the time).

It is dull, tactics-bare and lacks the unique and engaging flow that OB Bank It had.

As the ColourBlind Mode does not seem to affect the team colours, it can become difficult for some users to differentiate your Blue Team and the Potential other Purple Team, due to Red Colourblindness.

I am aware that there is the setting to disable team colours, however that takes away from overall experience.

Constant bug when queuing.

You'll queue with friends and it will randomly state "X player cancelled queue" for no reason, once getting a match it will state "reconnect" instead of loading in occasionally too. After finally getting into a match through these errors there is a 50% chance the entire team will be banned without reason, even if some or all loaded in before anything started.

Any ETA on this fix? Making the game unplayable (literally when it comes to the exponential ban lengths)

Played constantly for the past 4 hours to get daily's done and out of 20+ games only 3 of them didn't crash and 1 had hackers and the other 2 had rehards as teamates xDD

So, me and my friend were playing yesterday and everything was going fine, we were able to invite/add eachother with no delays or problems.

Today however, i cant seem to add my friend into the lobby, he gets the invites extremely delayed and only he is able to see himself in the party. When we go to queue it take approx. 1m for him to see weve queued up but he swiftly gets and error saying matchmaking has been cancelled.

so, this feedback is coming from someone who's played every playtest since alpha and truly loves this game and will play it no matter it's state.
but
my expectations of launch, more or less, was as follows:

• new systems as minimal as a button to stay as a group when solo queuing, to something more major such as sponsors page (you choose what sponsor and they give u challenges to unlock stuff - similar to some racing games)
• private matches (maybe with some modifiers, playing only the final round, 200% movement speed, etc)
• new weapons and equipment for every weight (kind of shocked we only got 1 weapon and 1 equipment for 1 class)
• new maps (1 is okay but at best i thought we could be treated to double the maps so 3 new maps)
• new gamemode (no new gamemode?.. and no private matches?!)
• server stability and matchmaking mostly fixed (praise devs we got it!)

i think thats all i was kind of guessing we would get, the thing im most let down by is the lack of private matches.
i thought there would be a load of stuff that was being worked on in the background and the tests were purely related to core gameplay and progression - and to find out that there was nothing extra on top of what we playtested is just weird to me, surely there would be an extra surprise of something new?

anyhow it hasnt stopped me from buying and sitting on 20k coins lol. hopefully we get similar to the above in the next year. i did think 2023 was too soon and there needed an extra year of development. in my mind we are still in playtests until we have what i would personally consider a complete, well rounded lore accurate game.

people have been having issues with being randomly banned for multiple days now its not a 3 hour old bug and even if the one you are talking about is there are a ton of others causing the exact same issue, and its not being a child to think that adding abandon penalties when the game is this unstable had to be made by mentally deficient dev.

And now your saying glitch grenades and mines? so a good light player is just going to sprint over a mine? Not to mention glitch mines are borderline useless and nobody runs them because the entire point of the glitch effect is that you need to capitalize on gadgets being down for a short period of time so having a mine that you cannot control when the glitch effect becomes active is fucking useless. and there aint no way your saying a glitch grenande counters invis. like your are not going to see an invis player running full sprint and be able to hit them with a glitch grenade not to mention shooting them would just reveal them also which would be a thousand times easier than pulling out a glitch grenade and trying to hit a full sprint light.

The invis shimmer while in full sprint is pretty faint. If your on controller the aim assist will autolock them and track them anyway so its like it basically doesnt exist. I think most people who defend the invis are either on controller or are playing light and abusing it claiming that it isnt even strong just like they did for the stun gun or the v9s

Ya, at this point it's a skill issue dude, you've been given literally almost a dozen counters to shit, also the fire barrel is one of the most common on the map, there are gigantic floating cubes of them with clear labels EVERYWHERE if the gas is that big of an issue you should have fire grenades anyways, there practically a meta weapon with all there uses.

Ran into an issue a few times where if I die while the weapon wheel is open, the right analog stick stops working until reopening the weapon wheel. This was on ps5

Lights should get faster regenration out of combat to improve the harass-playstyle. Maybe even improve their damage across the board a tiny amount if the regen buff isnt enough and slightly tweak the invis so it doesnt overshadow the other two abilities

Nerf heavies shotgun damage or rate of fire (maybe even both), slower travel time for rpg so its not a insta-delete button

After getting resurrected by defib you should not have invulnerability, maybe even limit defib uses per life to 1 or 2 at most, since its by far the strongest ability in the game, especially if you run more than one medium (getting defibed shouldnt reset the amount of uses only regular respawn should)

Sure, fine, I'll bite. The counter to invis is noticing the shimmer and shooting them. If they get anywhere even remotely close to you, you can even hear them coming and know what direction to look for the shimmer. It's not hard. You don't agree because you can't notice it, and you will accuse me of what you said: either playing on controller or using invis myself, both of which are false. But again, responding is pointless because you're not here to argue, you're here to force your opinion upon others.

I've been trying to play with friends for several days now, and there's not a moment when the servers don't want to connect us together in a group or to the same game when we've managed to join up... It's a real shame and could kill this game that I really enjoy so much for its innovative gameplay and incredible maps.

if you go into your controller settings, you’ll find a setting called preset and change that from equipment wheel to directional equipping, this is tons more efficient when trying to get your gadgets out and if your having problems with the wheel then ideally want to use this

I feel the defib would be in a better place if instead of giving invincibility and half health, it gave 200 health regardless

So it would fully heal lights, mostly heal mediums, but heavy’s still would need to regain health, in any case they would be able to return to the fight, and return quicker as a smaller class

It would make prioritization of who gets the defib much more important while also stopping this “invincible bodyblocking” which is annoying and impossible to counter because they are, well, invincible

The light shotgun does a maximum of 180 per shot, with two shots being able to be fired in rapid succession. That's enough to kill any class, and is fairly easy to do max damage (which is only necessary for Heavies) if you can get within like 7m.

Revolver does 148 on headshot, which leaves lights at 2. Medium shotgun (1887) deals 128 and cannot headshot. (Infact all shotguns cannot headshot in this game.)

You're right about glitch grenade though.
