These include onboard SOCD-style input resolution (like last input priority or deeper-press priority when opposite movement keys are pressed). Cross-play being toggled OFF on console should mean NO CROSS-PLAY. It’s been 3 weeks and not a single discussion about this from the devs.
PC anti-cheat is nonexistent
Servers are malfunctioning
Lack of serious punishment for people CLEARLY using a xim or cronus

Quality of the game has gone downhill. They used a Chinese theme to get people to stay on The Finals rather than switch to The Chinals but it’s like that’s ALL they did. It feels like they abandoned The Finals to cater to Arc Raiders. I get it’s more successful but that shouldn’t mean abandoning the original people who supported the “side-project” for the company.

it deflects all from a distance, the hitbox is a cone from your head facing to where u look.
The enemy bullets also come from their heads, so. up close u NEED to look at their head to block all bullets, cuz the hitbox tip gets too small.

Yeah, it slowing down is fine and expected I can just restart it. What its doing is adding delayed responses to the operating system
I have a hunch it has something to do with fucked up programming on application for EAC cause its setting off windows errors logged at the TPM system

hey, for some reason I can't post images. I just have a complaint regarding a ranked punishment. I was about to move to a final round but game wouldn't load.
I move onto next game. Stuck in loading screen, I restarted game and i'm in. Everything is fine and we make it to final round.
We place 2nd, and what do I get for all that effort? I get a -900 point ranked punishment, a complete and utter waste of time

was playing ranked when the round finished load screen said "waiting for other contestants to connect". it stayed stuck loading for over 5 mins. i closed the game and re-opened it and still couldnt connect to the game and it counted as me abandoning the game and going down in rank with a 10 min leaver penalty. why is this a thing happening in season 9 🙁

I've had two instances in a row now of trying to load into a game of cashout and then my game crashes. Each time, I go to steam to reboot the game and steam starts validating files for about 10-15 minutes. The error code I got is TFGE0027, which I've never gotten before. I’m having issues with my audio cutting in and out constantly when it never used to happen, it doesn’t happen with any other game but when I use my headphones that connect through my goxlr my audio for everything will cut. Okay the game developers seriously need to start paying more attention to THE FINALS. The weekly updates are nice but the bugs are getting out of hand. On top of that, the new map needs some serious tweaking. There are random bumps in the doorways that are messing up throwables, and cashout locations way too close to vault locations.

yes, when you plug it on an android phone you have a notification asking if u want to share file Tethering or some other options, choose tethering, for Iphone I don't remember but there is plenty of tutorial on youtube

I just encountered a bug that cost me a ranked game. For some reason, after I opened a gateway on moving platforms, the gateway just opened then disappeared into the void...

Idk why, but it normally doesn't do that. I was told my portal wasn't glitched and I was on cooldown afterwards. It was an overtime situation unfortunately so it really messed up the tide of the match.

I just hope this never happens again..

the bug has existed for anyone on a 7900xt/x graphics card since November only current fix is to downgrade your drivers which inhibnits you from playing most other games. it sucks. i try bring up the issue all the time but stilll no fix

Even though I am on the lowest settings, the game freezes every time during a match. Every single time an object breaks, it freezes for a full 2 seconds. My specs are: RTX 3060, i5-13400, 32GB RAM. I have over 100GB of free storage. It is absolutely unplayable. I have been playing from S1 through S8, but it has been like this ever since S9. Please, I beg you, stop destroying the gameplay.

hey all, i got a friend who's been having huge performance issues in game lately. he's on a PS5 connected to his phone's 5G. it works just well everywhere, but something weird's happening on the finals: whenever we play a match, it's either completely smooth or completely laggy, and when it's laggy there are two red icons stuck on the screen forever, until he switches server basically. he doesn't lag on discord either. i'm thinking about performance issues and not something related to the network, although 5G could be unstable. what do you think?

This is really crazy. If you download The final and arcrider at the same time, then their anti-cheating system (or something else) will affect each other, causing the system to detect that your file has been modified and flash back, and you need to re-verify the integrity of the game to enter the game, and he may attack at any time like a cancer.

Yup, my GPU is at the normal utilisation but I get random stutters every 10 to 15 seconds. The only thing different I've noticed is my game no longer sits at a constant 75 FPS but very rarely drops slightly below.

when i tab out, my game runs fine, but when i tab back in the game gets extremely stuttery even though my FPS is high. im running an R5 7600X, 9070 XT, 32GBs of DDR5, and a 1TB SSD. ive tried many things from reinstalling the game to disabling game mode in Windows, and none of it has worked. any advice?

I was in a raid recently and this one was annoying me and a friend were fighting a team that we beat and right after my game crash so I tried to reconnect but it would let me in I tried 5 times until I just give up. This was on console and my internet connection was fine, so that was frustrating but at least I made it out with a trigger name blueprint. Please fix this🙏

Hey, quick question has anyone had this happen?
I started THE FINALS on the PS4 version and completed the tutorial there. After switching to the PS5 version on the same account, the tutorial trophy is still locked, and the game won’t let me replay the tutorial. It also didn’t auto-pop.
I’ve tried reinstalling, practice room, and launching the PS4 version on PS5 — no luck.
If anyone started on PS4 → PS5 and found a way to make the PS5 tutorial trophy pop on the same account, I’d really appreciate the help. Or just confirmation if it’s currently unobtainable.

the other day i seemed to get a bug where fire dealt a massive chunk of damage at once, after being hit by both it and healing mist at the same time (when it wouldve naturally damaged me to the point of death)

Hello everyone, me and my brother have our seperate Steam accounts however we share the same PC. When my brother plays the game, the game runs buttery-smooth.

The problem is - whenever I try to play on my account, I get lag-spikes on 15 to 60 second intervals with a duration up to 3 seconds. The game freezes - exactly like a lag/jitter spike - even the game shows the High Latency(Ping)/Jitter icons while it happens. We both tested it multiple times, including a different PC on the same network(which had no problems). The game even shares the same Discovery config file because we don't have different accounts on Windows.

Anybody had the same problem ?

Edit: Oh, what proton you’re using? I just downloaded the latest version of Glorious Eggroll’s Proton and started to work.

Heal beam is super buggy rn.

Does the same with P90, uses a bullet instead of heal right away.

Also, it's super tricky to slide quickly while healing, which used to be easy.

try looking up the model number that would be on the sticker on the bottom of the laptop and then search for that laptop model on lenovo's website rather than the model of the motherboard. Looking up the model of the motherboard is more if you have a custom built pc

The same thing happened again after the update. The game just freezes up whenever there are explosion effects or environmental destruction. Clearing the cache fixed it, but it's honestly a pain to have to do that every single time there's an update.

Also—and I really hope this is just lag—it feels like Light builds are practically invincible when they use their dash. My bullets just seem to pass right through them. On top of that, it feels like some players can see through walls. Even when I’m over 50m away from the cashout, they track me down and kill me. It’s almost always Light players doing this.

The spear’s hitbox also feels broken. If there’s even a little bit of debris at my feet, the spin attack often fails to hit enemies standing right next to me. I guess the performance issues haven’t been fully resolved yet...

i know this one! unfortunaly you will have to reset your settings to fix it :(
1: write down the settings you want to save!
2: go to your local appdata folder and look for discovry!
3: if you want to keep your settings to look back at them, then it would maybe be better to just move the entire discovery folder (like to the desktop) >.<
when you open the game again, it will reset your settings but it should be fixed! :3

I finally found the fix to the keyboard delay bug that hasn't let me and many others play for like the last 8 months or so!

This might be niche but i run mouse and keyboard on ps5 in the finals and it worked great (better than other games even) but over the last month or so theres been something really off about the mouse speed ingame . I run 35cm/360 and it was consistent for a while but it gradually worsened and got slower to the point im almost doubling my ingame sens. I think its a frames issue but idk. Its not a dpi issue cuz im running the superlight 2c and i checked on my laptop that its 800dpi the whole time. It’s definitely game specific cuz i have aimlab and fortnite on my ps5 and my mouse feel stayed perfect over the same period

Is the matchmaking broken?
Today the enemys and teammates are all over the place in every game mode. Ruby, diamond and plat against my team with Level 3 and 5 guys. Or the other way around.
I just played a match with random total beginners against 3 stacked diamond enemys.
They constantly pushed straigt into death.
Powershift is a shitshow. 3 vs 5 guys or a team of beginners vs a 3-4 stack

Yes so I found the fix, try plugging ur headset/iems into a different source for volume. My dac was cutting out right before crash, ended up switching it around and it didn’t crash since.

I think it’s just the time of Q and matching with players your elo. Sometimes there aren’t enough bronze, silver, gold etc… so the game tries to attempt not to put you with diamonds 😂

I was wondering if the new animation bundle for the BFR Titan is complete in the store ? Because I found that the new "Deploy" animation and "Inspect" animation are strangely similar from the new tactical & empty relaod animation from the bundle. I think someone forgot to include them in the original bundle (because its new and not advertised in the store anywhere).

90 percent of people are stupid. Not me being rude there. That is just what is real life lol.
By default Devs shouldn't ever be putting games at the highest possible quality, it's just unnecessary. Ultra for textures? Sure.
Sensibly everything else should be defaulting to high or even very high as visual fidelity still holds up in those areas without gutting performance.
Know why there is an UNREAL amount of the playerbase saying they are struggling with the game's performance? They're running hopeless in-game settings, most likely windowed mode too, that awful dev recommendation doesn't help either, EVERY game should be run in fullscreen if performance is a concern.
And their system background processes are likely not sensibly tuned either.
There would be an unbelievable amount of people who would be running overlays and not using them, people just don't check unfortunately.

So if you kept getting wiped, it'll eat alot of cash. But it looks like a fusion of both team wipe AND a fail double cash out that made you lose so much cash

Since a wipe already eats 15% total, then if you doubled it before you wipe, and fail to cap it, you'll get heavily punished, especially if its the 2 22k boxes

hey, my friend is having an issue where his movement inputs are delayed by 1-2 seconds. i think this has something to do with the server side movement, but i'm not sure how to fix it
here are things it's not:
slow internet (i'm on the same network and i don't have the issue)
server issue (it's been happening for days in many different sessions and servers)
system lag (mouse input and whatnot is not delayed at all and nothing is maxed out in task manager)
messed up install (he's reinstalled a few times now)

I just had a glitch, when looking through the HOLO on FCAR through smoke, a nvg green-cross post reticle appered. As if looking through the smoke activated a secret see through mode on the holosight. I'll make a proper bug report if it happens again...are we getting new anti-smoke sights????

The matchmaking system is completely unplayable if you're playing alone. With a level 159 and 25k RS, players are assigned to a team of level 20-70, and some of them can't play at all. It's also interesting to know where they got the 25k RS in Ranked. As a result, when I play alone, I consistently end up in last place 😉

No special anims cus there are a few others that don't have special anims it's more of an effect then it is a straight mythic skin if you will I personally don't agree with the pricing of those two skins in my opinion they should be yellow (600-800 each) because all in all it's not exactly a mythic worthy skin due to the lack of anims as you said and half your gun is just gonna be a plan white ak

When you turn off crossplay in xbox it keeps it within all of xbox but not just console. It will includes console and pcs launching from the xbox app. Its done this for me since I started using the xbox app.

Agreed, I cleared my shader cache via C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Local\NVIDIA\DXCache
C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Local\NVIDIA\GLCache
and it helped a little bit, I still get stutters tho but not as bad. Definitely need them to fix this or look into it, got me tripping about all my specs😂

So I know the devs are terrible at their jobs and all but the balancing of this game is almost pathetically bad. Some weapons are actually a detriment to use. The matchmaking is terrible and give you racist level 2 players that couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn. THE DAGGER IS THE WORST WEAPON IN THE GAME. The lowest usage rate and these useless devs do nothing to rework or change it to make it actually useable. Half the guns in the game are unusable and the devs just don’t give a rats ass they just release more skins and battle passes so they can soak up money from a game they don’t actually care about. Fuck Embark.

I have question about launching ark raiders.
I downloaded the win 10 game through the xbox app, and when I click the play button, a window appears with square bars at the bottom and a long bar at the top, and a gear wheel is spinning on the right. After the game closes, two pioneergame.exe processes are running in the task manager. I tried giving all the exe files admin privileges and closing all programs that use overlays. I also disabled the firewall and windows defender, tried reinstalling the game, moving it to other local drives, and even reinstalling windows, but the problem persisted. I do not use any antivirus software. I ran the bat files from the game folder. I don't know what else I can do, but I really hope you can help me!

I play THE FINALS on Xbox Series S using mouse and keyboard, and I’ve noticed that the lack of an option to disable mouse acceleration makes it difficult to develop consistent aim.

Other titles like Call of Duty allow players to disable mouse acceleration even on console, which drastically improves precision and the overall experience for MKB users.

Adding this option would make THE FINALS much more competitive and accessible for console players using mouse and keyboard.

If you’re Xbox just go back and remap it to how it was. I just noticed they put ping on the same left dpad as communication wheel. No idea why. Setting ping back to up dpad seems to fix it.

What I'm trying to say is that if you were really looking for a solution you would be actually trying to isolate programs to get an idea what would be causing it. This wouldn't be happening on a trimmed down system so if this was worth the effort then you'd be trying to find the problem program, no?
Files on your computer being private, not willing to share them? Sure.
Programs running in the background? No.
Otherwise this is the same pointless moaning that the performance beggars do. They want solutions to a problem which they could have a hand in solving.

Try disabling the DXGI buffer chain in the Nvidia panel. Vulkan is not supported in this game anyway, only directx.

Hey everyone, I am writing because I have this one issue for the past few weeks, maybe months. Whenever I want to start The Finals through Steam, it's trying to start and then there is this small window that opens (with this small blue loading bar at the bottom of the window and in the top left corner it's written "The Finals"). And even if I wait 10 minutes or 1 hour, it won't start. It's like frozen.
But when I close the game through Steam (force close), the game starts after like 30 seconds and the small window closes itself (sometimes it even stays open).

Does anyone else know a fix or anything related to this? I already tried reinstalling The Finals but the problem still exists. I'm thinking it might be a problem with the anti-cheat maybe?

Hey I am playing on a 9070XT 16GB GPU, Is there anybody else with like Choppy Visuals? The FPS reader says 150 fps but the visuals and video quality is so choppy and poor

I even reduced the visuals to Low and it is still super choppy looking

maybe you dont have freesync in the radeon software enabled (you need a freesync compatible monitor), could also be that vsync is on. And you should look if your game is set to max performance in the windows graphics settings.

edit: you could also try to play on fullscreen instead of windows fullscreen or the opposite.
Also you can try to reset your shader cache

I've been experiencing significant performance issues with The Finals since the recent patches and updates. My FPS has dropped considerably- I used to consistently get 200+ FPS, but now I'm only hitting around 140 FPS during gunfights. Even worse, I'm experiencing frequent stuttering that I never had before. These performance problems have only appeared after the latest updates, and it's making the game much harder to play smoothly. Is anyone else experiencing similar issues, or are there any known fixes?

S9 was unplayable for me to the point of the game not even launching. Only thing that fixed my issues was updating my BIOS. I went through 3-4 days of troubleshooting to get to that solution. Even if that doesn't fix it for you, it won't hurt.

Might just have to wait for performance patches. They made a ton of updates to the destruction, along side the snow maps. Game is just not in the greatest place for performance. It's slowly gotten better over time and patches for me, but I was using super low visuals for a minute there

the matchmaking problem is because the playerbase is low and if you queue WT or Quickplay (which also has less SBMM than ranked) you get Diamonds or Ruby players.

Yes, it's simple, and I even tried to launch the game on a laptop and the same thing starts in the menu, as soon as I move the mouse, it immediately crashes. I disabled background processes, turned off everything, reinstalled the game, nothing helps.

I have the same thing - if I don't touch the mouse, the lobby lives for a while, and then immediately closes after moving. Shader compilation completes successfully if i don't move the mouse.
There were no changes before the start, even the computer was turned on between gaming sessions.

There are also several such cases in the Steam discussions.

I don't have a problem with the players I face; I'm a player who can compete with all of them. However, in solo queue matchmaking, those who come to me are either Elo boosters or trolls who don't know the game. They helped my friend reach Diamond while I'm stuck at Platinum 32k, and because of this, most of them troll without missing a beat in terms of rank advancement.
