This whole "Multiple Instances" Bug is weird. On the task manager, it's running like 6 times and I couldn't stop the tasks no matter what I do. All of them seem to lead up to the Binaries folder. I've done everything they gave me in the ticket but still no dice

I have rtx 3050ti 4gb vram 16gb ram. on the game launch i get 200 fps but it steadily goes down (5 fps drops every minute and it does not rise). My GPU usage goes down as well simultaneously. it goes as low as to 26 fps. I have lowered the graphics to the least, still the fps drops. I have up to date drivers (steady one), i have my windows on high performance i have set no restrictions via BIOS I have best settings in nvidia control panel. Please tell me how do I fix it 😭

• Game appears to be very choppy/stuttery
• Movement is completely broken, you'd stand at one place or jumps wouldn't work
• In spectator mode and from another player's POV, your camera is shaking and being choppy too

What settings do you use? The ones working best for me are PROTON_USE_EAC_LINUX and PREFER_SDL in combination with the usual NVAPI and GL_SHADER settings

@crude kestrel yes they are. And Valve have pushed a fix to Proton Hotfix and proton experimental (the bleeding edge one not regular experimental). The fix seems to work for most people but not everyone.

@junior plinth I only use gamemoderun %command%. All AMD system if that matters. Im using Proton Hotfix and played about 15 games without a kick. Although i do get about 30fps less on hotfix but at elast its working

the 30 fps (and stuttering) may be because of a shader cache issue. I would recommend checking infos on that on the protondb site. there is also a github issue but I don't have it at hand right now.

Thanks for the link @olive falcon . I dont think its the same problem for me. Im on a 9070 and the shaders seem to compile fine on startup. Its just moving from Proton Experimental to Proton Hotfix (to get around the kick thing) seemed to lose me about 30 fps. But im ok with that for now. Its definitely playable

The first time, it showed me the "Multiple Instance" Error. I checked it in Task Manager and the reason is that Easy Anti-Cheat opened the game, while Embark Game Launcher is opening it at the same time (WHY??????)

@lost stream you need to use Proton Hotfix or Proton Experimental Bleeding-Edge. Both have fixes for most people. NOTE its not the normal proton experimental. Try Proton Hotfix and see if that works. Apparently inactive accounts from the Beta completely lost all their Open Beta rewards.
I lost access to the steam account I had played the beta on, was well within Diamond in the Open Beta, so I had all the diamond rewards from then.
I went to go play for the first time since the beta on that account and the game forced me to make a new account under that same steam account.
I lost all progress and all rewards on that account.
Hopefully Embark Support is able to correct this.

I've been playing since pre-season 1, and ever since a season 6 or so i've started getting full game freezes that last 3 to 5 seconds. They usually happen early in a match and usually seem to stop after one or two appearences. I've been waiting for a fix but this latest freeze actually crashed the game. I've confirmed it's only the finals thats having issues on my system, even battlefield 6 ran without issues.. and we know their track record for bug free betas.

Newsflash, it most likely is your pc. And no, it does not matter if it is ok in other games. It is unstable under heavy load and you should run some stress tests like prime95.

i am now having this issue, i asked around and i was told it was my firewall and that worked for like 5 minutes. i test in practice range and i cant even move, did all troubleshooting steps possible on my end. I'm getting kicked from the server and it sometimes wont let me even log in to the start menu. its not my internet, i have gig up/down fiber on ethernet, everything is up to date. when wiresharked it shows thousands of duplicate packets sent and received. it brings my entire home internet down from 950-970mbps measured down to 4 or 5mbps. it is likely an issue with my ISP however it is literally only this game causing this issue and none other. out of 500 hours this is the first time seeing this

Having a weird issue with matchmaking that's like... balancing teams in a very odd way. The last 6, 7 ish rounds I played of head to head was putting us in matches with level 1 to 15ish players that were unaffiliated with any game platforms like steam or consoles. They were putting us against level 80+ players that were absolutely demolishing us. Did he try and update his bios? I know it's a long shot, but it fixed some of my issues I was having. Think the only setting that helps with Out of Video Memory is the texture resolution. I have the same GPU and if I remember correctly, mine is set to Low or Medium.

No. Normally I just give it time and sometimes it resolves, however the issue this time is its been days and it literally wont let me in game and if it does, it wont let me move, the server icon is always there at yellow and it shows im having every internet related issue icon.

You could try logging into a different steam account and making an alt on the finals to see if the issue persists

I’ve been running into a problem where my Xbox wireless headset keeps cutting in and out mid-game while playing The Finals. Sometimes the audio stutters, sometimes it completely drops for a few seconds, and it makes communication rough in ranked matches.

• Charging it fully

At the very beginning, clumsy players use emulators to enable Aimassist on their PC or use a keyboard and mouse on consoles with Aimassist enabled. There might be a really bad bit of code attached to nozomi/citadel map. I've only ever had a really really bad over 30 second freeze on that map and a crash. If they're on pc and running NVIDIA drivers have them update their drivers

• When installing the drivers have them go to express installation
• Click the "Clean Installation" option
• Continue and install
  This will clear their cache and restore drivers to default as you can see in the window.
  Doing this solved a frame problem I had and helped a friend with crashing less (we found the issue was with his cpu)

ALSO: If they are running AMD FSR on an NVIDIA card they could be susceptible to crashing. DLSS + FSR Framegen is fine but FSR + FSR Framegen is known to crash games when playing on an NVIDIA card

If it's a RADEON card then I assume its similar for running a clean installation and the same with the scaling, don't run DLSS scaling on the amd card

Im too tired to list my ingame graphics settings but my pc with the current settings, im sure that my can run the game WITHOUT the FPS falling below 60.

I've tried troubleshooting the issue but the problem still keep coming back.

• Updated my Nvidia driver thru the nvidia App.
• Did a clean Reinstall of the nvidia driver using DDU.
• Closed any useless background apps on my PC.
• Checked for any latest update on my windows but it's already up to date.

I really can't pinout the problem but my speculations are maybe the pre-complied shader cache? or the Nvidia driver?.
Right now i'm gonna try to clear my shader cache and see if this will fix the issue.
I hope if there's a dev that could give some answers on why this happens😢

recently encountering some issues where framerate tanks to the point where it can't sustain above about 28fps (even had an instance or two where it was typical performance range, then suddenly cuts to said bad performance and won't return to typical range unless I restart the game, at which point it inevitably ends up bad again). Changing graphics settings even to the lowest possible settings and even render resolutions set to lowest setting doesn't change anything.
other games run normally.

and as of today, I can't remain in any server for more than maybe a minute (if not within a few seconds) before getting a game freeze for a good 20 seconds and being kicked from the server with error code TFGE0024. It does that in practice range and in matches regardless of gamemode. I had some friends test to see if they were having server issues in case it was server-side, but they didn't seem to have any issues at all.

I've tried restarting my computer, restarting the game, verifying integrity of the files, reinstalling the game, checking for updates on the game and computer drivers and all that jazz, but nothing seems to fix the problem. I have a solid internet connection on ethernet with no problems for internet connectivity on other games or anywhere else device-wide. I attempted to look up posts/threads elsewhere on the internet and there was a post or two about people having an issue, but no listed fixes. (and I'm unsure that it's really the same problem I'm experiencing anyways).

So I figured I'd try here on the official discord as a last ditch effort to figure out what is happening, as I'm at a complete loss now.

Hello everyone. I have the mouse Asus M4 Air (bought a year ago) PixArt PAW3335 optical sensor
Since today morning, my mouse sensitivity is extremely low to the point that putting the value from 57% (my original) to 100% doesn't even make me turn 30+ degrees with my usual movement.
I haven't changed any setting, nor have I downloaded any third party program.

Observations
My FPS stays above 80 all the time
GPU Utilisation is 75-85% at the practice range
Frame time rarely exceeds 10ms
Armoury Crate has no macros or different profiles
Consistently staying at my original DPI of 1000
Enable to even track a walking player
Mouse movement is unhindered outside the game(is the same in other games and Windows 10)

A few weeks ago when my controller was connected, the game would slow to a crawl as if lagging, making the game unplayable.

no, it happens all the time with winch unfortunately. the regular sequence of events, is, whether im full hp or not, I get winched -> i send a shot (body or head) -> i see the hit marker and the arrow but NO dmg -> i dash once or twice to try to survive -> i die anyways because winch is better than me.

No, its for any mode. i found some suggestions online but none have worked for me, apparently its an issue with duplicate skins and i guess they're looking into it. But ive dound instances of the issue being around for a least a year so who knows if they actually are working on it tbh
