probably already reported but on the post match page I keep getting other players as me on my card. On that page in tdm for example - there is the queue again button and a space for next button. It used to be that you could just hit escape and back out but now you have to do a space bar - escape back and forth.

Its pretty annoying once you have muscle memory for another way. A good rule of thumb is to always have the same input back out as default as we will see this screen thousands of times. The user should be able to turn their brain off an spam (actually shouldn't even have to spam) to get to the main menu

Ya'll, we've goooooooootta fix this input lockout bug; whether it be being unable to sprint, shoot, or use any gadgets.
We already know it has something to do with inputs tripping over each other.

A common fix for the not-able-to-shoot bug is opening chat and closing it.
The crouch bug is usually fixed by swapping weapons.

BUT... those aren't fixes 100% of the time, and you usually have to take a guess between those fixes about about 4 others. This is NOT fun and it happens just about every game. This has also been goin' on way too long. Easily since release.

Every other day lately I get a bug with charge and slam where I cant shoot my deagles or use gadgets until I use charge and slam again. Today I got it the worst Ive ever had it..it didnt even fix itself when re-using my charge and slam the the first try so I had to wait another 12 seconds totaling 24 seconds just trying to survive without using guns or gadgets and it basically made me lose a cashout that snowballed into us barely losing the game..is there another fix to this besides waiting 12 seconds for my specialization to come back and pray it fixes it?

Came here looking for this. I play the steam version on High or Epic graphics smoothly. Tried the Xbox version for 2 World Tours and it was terrible. If I turned graphics down to low I got about 95 fps but had terrible stuttering.

next day, try loading it and I got banned. Reached out to support and all they said was gamepad hardware/software spoofing. Only change between days is that I was playing hades 2 with my pro controller plugged in via usbc. Controller was plugged in but not in use when I opened the finals.

I currently play on a new laptop I got on December, idk much of pcs but it has a ryzen 7 7000, an RTX 3050 and 16 gigs of ram. Also, I'm not a huge TF expert, but I'll say this:
Defibs I think are fine even if the whole team has them.
First of all that makes them stuck to the medium class which is already a balance by itself
Also, defibs need people to throw themselves into dangerous zones to rescue their teammates, there is some time before people respawn so enemies can notice, and as soon as someone revives they're not able to use any skills for a bit, and their weapon isn't automatically refilled
They're a cool and quick way of getting someone up, but are nowadays very balanced
You should've seen old revive, when people would get back up instantly with no cooldowns, ahah
About the grenade launcher, it's mostly imprecise, bad at a range and lets people damage themselves, so there is a lot of counter plays available
And I say that as a medium grenade launcher main
I struggle a lot, play an AK would give me a way easier life lmao

So I checked quickly and at first glance neither ban appears to be related to Gamepass at all, but the team will investigate further tomorrow.

I'd strongly recommend you check your machines for other applications that might be running that might trigger anti-cheat though, such as input spoofers, aim programs like 'AI' aimers, those sort of things. They'd definitely trigger a ban.

So, I fixed my issue. I was crashing on launch, PC version (both Steam and Gamepass) during the initial loading screen and before shaders compiled. There was no error code. I ultimately fixed my issue by uninstalling and reinstalling the Nvidia app. I did update my drivers during the process but I can't say whether that really mattered, since I was still crashing after I did. Thanks for the help everybody. For anybody else who has started crashing on launch in the last few days, try reinstalling the Nvidia app.

I don't really appreciate this "strongly recommended" stress test that occurs after my game crashed.

I know why my shit crashed. it crashed because I changed my monitors HDR peak brightness mode in the OSD while in-game in which the driver failed to successfully recall the GPU because it was already in use, and as a result, the GPU failed to wake-up and I had to hardboot.

I don't appreciate that this stress test pop-up will constantly re-appear unless I perform the stress test... which I'd once more like to emphasize is labeled as strongly recommended, but not required... except it is if I want this pop-up to go away.

I don't appreciate the fact that despite factually knowing that my crash was caused by my GPU, the test instead just pins my CPU at TJMAX for a whole 2 minutes. I'd like to take this opportunity to highlight that I'm running a 9800x3d - a CPU with a now rather infamous TJMAX threshold and temperature, but still not one I'm keen to be forcibly pinned at during a strongly recommended (but required not-required) test.

Lastly, I don't appreciate this over-emphasis that this test is a courtesy for detecting hardware faults for suspicious crashes. I've never heard of potential hardware crashes being referred to as suspicious crashes. I've seen what happens when this game properly crashes. You get the standard UE5 crash report splash screen. So, what is this hardware tester actually, and why is it only my CPU getting pinned?

I know this aint a pc problem, since last time this happened to players it was because of bad code on the developers side. You attach the xbox account to your current steam account (if steam is your main) on embark website then you download the game through xbox pc app. Start the game once there and you get them. Then you can play through steam. However bonus xp you only get if you play through the xbox app on pc.

Right after I installed Windows, Steam, and the game, my FPS was consistently above 100 (averaging 110–120).
But over time, (sometimes 2-3 weeks, sometimes 1 day enough) I started noticing the FPS dropping, and to get it back up, I kept lowering the resolution more and more.
But now even that doesn’t help.

In the last three matches, the FPS just kept decreasing. It started at around 85 average, then dropped to 70, and in the last game it was 60.
This is also accompanied by severe stuttering, FPS drops, (on Kyoto, the game often freezes for half a second or even a full second), and blurry textures.

I’ve tried different versions of Windows: Windows 10 22H2, Windows 11 22H2, and Windows 11 24H2. The same issue occurs on all of them.
I've tried reinstalling drivers, that does not help.

I asked my friends, and none of them have experienced this problem. Their FPS is stable, even on Kyoto – just slightly lower, but no severe stuttering.
I checked 1 year old video game test with same pc spec on youtube. he has good fps, same as i had before - above 100.

I decided to join a match with a friend and compare FPS. You can see both his result and mine in the screenshot.
His settings are even higher than mine, and he doesn’t have to lower the resolution like I do. You can see his settings in the picture.
The screenshots show two different matches – the one with higher FPS was the first, and the one with lower FPS was the next one.

Hello, there is an issue with I assume optics equipped. When dying, and then revived, aiming down sights would cover most of the screen by gun itself. It happens a lot, M60 and M11 having this for me in these cases. It's very annoying, thought it was reported and solved by now. Don't have screenshots. Playing Quick Cash, however not sure if that has any difference. Solution is when revived, change to equipment and then back to primary. Not sure if the issue is because death occurred during aiming down sights or randomly, but it happened multiple times already.

Each application has its own installation of easy anti-cheat. You should check the anti-cheat log and see what the problem is. This is the path: "C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\EasyAntiCheat\". Run the game once then from the specified path open "service.log". There should be a mention of a folder with a random name in it in one of the last entries. Inside that folder there is another log file that shows some more info with what is happening.

yo yo yo, for anyone getting Access Violations, this is likely not a fault of the game devs, but a fault of the game engine devs. Specifically Unreal Engine 5. Many Unreal Engine 5 games, including the finals, are crashing for many people with Access Violation errors. This is because of multiple Memory Leaks. A memory leak is essentially when a key on your keychain just falls off and the game requires that key to continue playing, thus causing a crash. The fix is one of two options. Either the game devs remove any use of that part of the memory that leaks with some workarounds. Or the game engine devs (Unreal Engine devs) fix the damn memory leaks.

TLDR: Stop blaming the game devs, its not their fault your game is crashing with access violation errors. Sit back and have some patience, The Finals is not the only game this is happening to, so its a bigger deal.

Nah, I was using 566.36 because that is the last known, extremely stable driver. I am updating to the newest one right now to see what happens. When I updated the game this afternoon, I had access to DLSS. I tested lossless scaling, and eventually gave up, so I closed both programs. Reopened the finals, DLSS gone. I turned HAGS off and back on, reinstalled the game, verified integrity of game files. Nvidia geforce profile does showcase DLSS in the game-to-game optimizer, but when I apply, it just uses FSR3 as a substitute.

I've been running into issues myself as well but I haven't even been able to boot the game. IF the new driver (which seems to not have dropped yet?) doesn't do much, I'd probably DDU back to 566.36. Granted most drivers are pretty stable after, with the exception of the last few.

I'm resorting to a whole reinstall of windows as this PC is purely used for Finals anyways.. But it seems to be bugging out on X3D CPU's both my 7800X3D and 9950X3D won't launch but my Intel rig is fine. Hope DLSS returns for you brotherman

I was running a dual gpu setup for lossless scaling purposes in single player games. I just uninstalled the second GPU, and clean installed the newest driver. DLSS became accessible again in the finals and my frame times are significantly more stable. For a minute, I had even lost the ability to set my refresh rate to the max setting. Really weird driver issue.

I have seen a lot of people with issues like this. Try updating your cpu chipset drivers (AMD or Intel). Restart after the update. Another thing you can do is set discovery.exe to run as administrator by right clicking it, going to properties, then the compatibility tab and you will see a check box for it.

So my only real advice from that point on would be to run discovery as admin, and you can also try to disable XMP profile for your ram in the bios. On some matches the game feels very smooth, but on others, I can feel a noticeable stuttering happening, when I turn off the frame gen and play on 80fps, it feels a lot smoother than with 2x frame gen.

The more I’m thinking about it, the more i think the finals has a huge hacker problem.

Especially in ranked, there are often people that are just a bit too accurate. Like don’t get me wrong: I can totally acknowledge when I’m just worse then my enemy (often the case tbh) but the amount of times were I get INSANELY wiped is just… too often to not seem suspicious. Especially because it isn’t my first shooter, actually I’m playing shooters for nearly 15 years. And I didn’t got stumped in this intensity a looong time ago.

My friends and I looked deeper into it, and we were SHOCKED how fast one can find a buyable aimbot, wallhack, etc. It just took us 3 minutes! Ofc we didn’t try it, but the comments say that it still works. In addition to that, one can find multiple videos on YouTube showing hacker videos.

So what do you think? How big is the hacker problem in the finals?

Hey i´m still getting frequent, FREQUENT crashes, like virtually every single match the game crashes. does anyone know anything i can try? i´ve been attempting to fix this for like about a week now.

this issue started when i played the gasme while having low storage space on my drive, i had this issue before wich fixed itself after reinstalling the gpu driver while having space again

Yeah I've experienced it before, usually goes away either you join a new games or whole team dies. It's really random and idk why it happens either

I just downloaded the game and can't start it. Getting out of video memory error. I googled and tried removing discovery folder, changing power mode but it didn't work. I read that it could be because intel cpu but i have amd. What can I do?

Update bios if you have 13th or 14th gen intel or your cpu will die. It will also fix this error.

I think there is a bug that causes your gun to go off at random intervals. I thought it was a personal problem but others in my group are experiencing the same issue.
