Anyone has an issue where the game doesn't launch from steam? I've been at it for 1 month at least since the last big update and is now stuck. Tried reinstalling the game, verifying integrity, checking event viewer, reinstalling EAC, updating windows, updating drivers on GPU, forcing the game to run in DX11, running the game from the game files, installing the game on a different SSD.
The issue in detail is that when I click PLAY the game does not launch with no error, no warning, nothing really, no feedback whatsoever.

odd i do know of in the task manager if you install an easy anti cheat game you can see the service in that tab it is called EasyAntiCheat_EOS see if that is disabled for any reason and if so run it as manual setting cause it should auto start and stop when the game is being played or not

task manager then the services tab, find EasyAntiCheat_EOS then right click to open context menu then select open services, open services open in a new window then scroll down in that window and find Easy Anti-Cheat (Epic Online Services) and right click for context menu and select properties and in that window look for startup type and set to manual so it turns on and off as needed with no interaction

Some of the scopes in this game are bugged, you need to cover the head behind the front sight of the scope to get consistent headshots. Its most noticeable on guns with iron sights and with single fire.
Above are some examples of how you need to aim to get headshots with some guns. I also added a video showing the difference between having the head aligned with the front sight with no HS and covering the head with the front sight resulting in 100% HS

The following scopes seem to be bugged:
LH1
V9S
AKM
XP-54 need to cover the head behind the arrow
M60 the upward recoil often starts to hit heads after 2 bullets

Guns that are not affected:
Lewis probably because the gun always pulls up with recoil
Fcar since its the only gun with a pointer scope.
Revolver scope works as intended
M11 Might also be because of the recoil

I'm noticing a recent issue/bug that's always replicated for me. As of yesterday, any ranked tournament match on the 1st round always puts my FPS at the 80-100 range. Will never go above 100. If our team proceeds to the 2nd round or later, the FPS improves by a decent margin to around 120-130 fps. Still much lower than what I used to get always which was around 140-170 fps.

If I play Quick Cash mode, my fps starts at around 130-ish fps. Not sure why there is a ramp up towards more FPS in ranked mode right now. This has never happened before. Also a wide variance in FPS when I'm in Practice Range. Can almost get 200 fps in there.

For two weeks i have not gotten at system integrity violation and i can play again. I haven't streamed the game on Discord since it usually crashes or causes problems. I usually just get a random Angel Script crash but that is fine since it is minimal. Today i have been streaming my game on discord and got a system integrity violation. I have Chrome, Steam, Discord, and Ghub (for Dpi). I got kicked from a tournament and suspended. I stopped playing the game because this issue was constant even after getting steps from the Support Team.. Please let me know if there is a fix

what's your hardware? for best compatibility with the game either use proton experimental(bleeding edge) or proton 9.0(beta), if your on amd make sure your using a newish mesa driver like 23.3 or 24.0 or use flatpak steam as that will use its own mesa which gets updated regularly. if on nvidia use x11 with the latest drivers, you could also run wayland under the new 550 nvidia driver that just came out but you will have to wait for that driver to release in your distro repo's

My distro is Mint. I have it fully updated and I'm using the latest kernel mint provides I can't remember what it is exactly but I think it's 6.5.X.

I have an all AMD system Ryzen 7 5800X3D and RX 6950XT.

I'm actually not sure if I'm using the flatpak version of Steam or not, and I had no idea it has its own mesa driver. I think I might be using the distro provided one, though I'll definitely make sure when I get on my PC here in like 30 minutes.

aight, yeah flatpak is containerized with its own runtimes used, if you use system steam on linux mint you'll have a pretty dated mesa like 22 which is not what you want for an amd card, as you'll be missing things like gpl/graphics pipeline(this loads shaders before the game starts) huge ray tracing improvements missing, and general fixes for tons of games like halo infinite, the finals, apex legends etc. i would suggest you use flatpak steam and then since flatpak is containerized it cant see your other drives mounted so you need flatseal to give steam flatpak permission to see those drives, so for me i would give /games and /extragames to steam flatpak to see. also there is different proton experimental version you can try in your steam library. one is bleeding edge proton experimental, which is the latest master build of proton experimental development, you can switch to this by going into your steam library, proton experimental, proprieties, beta, bleeding edge, then update, or just use proton 9 (beta) as that includes those patches from experimental bleeding edge for the finals

Nukes used to be mandatory, now as a heavy player, scratch the c4, equip dome and barricade and that's a lot harder to deal with. C4 is only good on or under a cashout or for trapping doorways etc. I'm a heavy main so of course I'm gonna defend it. Heavy is op but not for the reason of the nuke anymore. I love how people are so quick to complain but what they do not realize is there is a dedicated dev team that actually listened to player feedback and did what they could to nerf it, and they still will probably do more to them in the future, im sure there will be a lot of nerfs/buffs in s2, but everyone is so impatient which is why the game is in the state it is rn.. You main medium, play the grenade launcher, they are meta rn and a hell of a lot more annoying than nukes atm, also its a direct counter to nukes, one grenade will blow them up in the heavy's hands.

I have tried that and it does work yet aps does counter that route as well. I know it’s not as much of the meta anymore but every other game it still happens. Teams still run 2 or 3 heavy’s and build nukes. Hell iv played heavy to fill and got two kills with one nuke just in a recent game. I think I got about 7-8 kills just off of nukes in that whole tournament game alone. And I don’t even main heavy, it’s a mindless unskillful ability It’s still really easy to kill somone you just have to get a bit closer now. From what Iv seen it still seems like the meta.

When they changed it so its only viable on red barrels is when it stopped being meta. you cant just turn around any corner and make one now, on top of the chance of even hitting the nuke, it isnt viable unless you have a decent amount of knowlege of canister spawns and the way the red barrels fly. Being anywhere in proximity also does a significant amount of self damage. I promise you, and youve probably dealt with it since your in plat and probably verse diamonds often, a Heavy with a dome shield and a barricade is a lot more scary than one with a nuke. Ever since they started flying slower, as a heavy, I can even raise my mesh shield when I see a heavy throwing a nuke and it raises in time to block off my team from it. The only way its killing two people is if they are damaged already, or standing right next to each other literally holding hands. Before the nerf nukes used to be able to kill entire teams in the vicinity of an entire building floor. There is so many easy counters to the nuke that it simply just cannot be meta, it makes it very situational. Im not saying they arent overpowered, all im saying is that they do not sway the outcome of a game anymore like they used to. APS, Grenade launchers, glitch grenades, dome and mesh shield, any other throwable explosives, a light that can get up close and personal with the heavy making it impossible to use without them killing themselves as well, these are all counters (even if not direct counters).

ever since the last update, my frames have been capped at 40. I have 2 computers both a bit older but neither have ever flinched at a game either. minecraft with 200+ mods even. but when I begin playing this for the past 3 days no matter the settings I change. no matter if it's on epic settings with RTX on epic or if it's on all low. no matter what steady 40-50 with constant "packet loss" errors in between. I have been running this game smooth 120+ frames since launch. the specs of both computers are as follows. Rig 1 has an Ryzen 7 1700x with a RTX 2070 ti, 1tb nvme ssd and 16gb of gskill trident 3200 ram with a 800W power supply. Rig 2 has a threadripper 1950x, 32gb of gskill trident z 3600, 1200W power supply, and a GTX 1080 ti. both of these machines have happily chewed through games with few issues for years but suddenly this is having super bad lag problems out of the blue. I've spent 2 days troubleshooting installing drivers overclocking and generally going crazy to no avail.... Found a bug where if you place a barricade on a loose piece of any structure, for example the top of the crane, it will start floating and moving around. Already reported this to the help center on Embark's website

Hello there! Ive run into an issue--albeit a small one.

Ive noticed that my gun animation settings keep reverting as soon as I join a game or the practice arena. For example, Ill equip the "jackpot juggle" reload on my AKM (I will see the check mark appear) then when I get into a game it will go back to the standard reload. If I go back into my loadout after the game, the check next to the jackpot juggle is gone. Same thing happens with my inspect animation settings as well.

Im wondering if anyone else has seen this--or at the very least I wanted to get it on the devs radar. Figured this was the best place to do it!

I have noticed a bug while using the flamethrower if you are spraying an opponent and you die within 1 second of your opponent dying after you then you do not get the elimination and doesnt show any death reports in the top right of screen. But you clearly can see your statue and theirs sitting on the ground. I think i lose 3 - 5 eliminations or more per game this way that isnt recorded. Anyone else notice not getting elminations?

Having a bad issue with connecting to matches on Xbox rank tournament. First match all 3 of us crashed out of the game. We eventually got it reconnect but got the same error code TFGE0015. Eventually got in. Advanced to second round with default medium load outs. Second match same issue but could not reconnect no matter how many times we tried.

When reporting someone for using aimbot, it keeps cancelling the reporting process, some causes of the cancelling are:

• you report right after dying, the cancelling happens right after killcam stops and it turns in to spectating teammate
• the teammate you are spectating dies
• you get revived
• team revive activates
• game ends

This makes it so that every time you end up reporting someone, you have to start the reporting process over and over again 2-3 times before you actually get to the end to send it.

idk my game was crashing a lot and tried everything: lower cpu multiplier, force dx11, all video settings at low, disable ram xmp profile, delete config folder, clean install of the game... and still crashed a lot. Today I saw that my issue was related to memory leak (my gpu has 8gb vram and my system has 32gb, I even created a page file of 64gb but it didnt work), in my specific case it was being cause by Insight (more accurate: by Overwolf) and after closing it, 0 crashes in 3 hours

I had met A very dirty tectial strategy, details as follow:

1. Take the vault and carry it in elevator(Map: Seoul?);
2. Ues goo thrower to keep sealing all entrance(the door and the ceiling window);
3. Then keep pushing the level buttons and keep the elevator moving;

Thus no one can touch the vault except that fat gay in the elevator, I have to quit that game to skip the garbage time. Their toxic behavior ruined all the other players game experience.

Have this issue with the finals now where right after I load into the arena, my screen just turns “off” almost. And the only way to fix it is by unplugging my monitor then plugging it back in, then because you cannot choose which monitor in game, I have to make it windowed at the smallest size, move it back to the main screen, then go back to full screen and the correct resolution. Unfortunately I will not be ruining my oled monitor by unplugging it while running every time I want to play the game. Hopefully a patch is released for this. Only happens on the first game of my play session, and only once.

idk man I tested it and disconnected my finals profile in razer synapse and reconnected it and right then it kicked me out of the game for this and every time before when I got kicked in a game my mouse profile was suddenly not selected anymore. the problem is the button I like to use for selecting my defib is the one below the mouse wheel on the razer viper mini (i got small hands lol) and it doesn't get registered at all in the in game controls when trying to change it hm. this mouse button by default is used for changing the dpi of the mouse so maybe its not hooked up as a mouse button and more like a "system change" button? and boy it also already happened that i tried to revive a mate and suddenly my mouse was all slow and draggy since the profile got unselected and my dpi changed to 800. i am not sure if this bug is a fault of razer or the finals but definitely something hm.

Hey! So I started playing The Finals in the open beta on xbox, using my mouse and keyboard I could play the game, although no cursor was ever seen. I thought that m&k on console was a feature, so when they patched that "bug" it removed my only way of playing the game. I simply prefer playing fps games on m&k alot over controller, I'm terrible on controller lmao. And my desktop pc I have isn't stable enough to keep even 60fps ingame due to overheating issues.

The only choice I had after m&k was removed was to learn to play on controller.. kinda removed the fun from the game, it meant I stopped playing. It's a great game just disappointed that I can't enjoy it on m&k anymore like I did.

hi, since fixing crashes seems impossible, can you make the game open after a crash in a reasonable amount of time. I got suspended because the game crashed and apparently I ran out of time to reconnect. Or take off the timer, or something. This game takes forever to open, so it makes no sense to have a timer.

I like the game tho, the most fun in fps since HLDM2 .
But seems like it's a different beast to make a working online FPS game these days. Hackers with AI stuff come and just demolish everything (just a wild guess). Then after you receive 10000 issue tickets, its not that fun anymore and while fixing those you get double amount more.

Is anyone else having issues with internet bandwidth being caped? For some reason certain things like the finals and epic game store wont download above a certain speed even though nothing else is downloading, but steam and google will download at the full speed.

Just finished a game, the loading screen back to the main menu was endless so i restarted the game.

Now i cant get past the Connecting screen (can't even make it to the main menu)

Fixes ive tried :
-restarting the game (done it multiple times)
-Restarting my PC
-Verifying game files
-Running as administrator
-disabling fullscreen optimizations
-putting The finals to high performance in graphic performance settings
-Disabling steam overlay
-Disabling discord overlay
-trying to run the game in directx 11 by using the command line in steam

So far nothing has worked, The issue just randomly popped up, i could load into the game fine, played a few games and then it happened.
Im not the only one with the issue #💥┇spawn-point message also has this issue

Guys there is a glitch with the sledgehammer guitar skin that if you use mesh shield then the heavy 200 damage attack with the sledgehammer it doesn't do the animation so you don't even see if it registered or that you actually pressed the button to hit the opponent.

Hi I have come across a bug that is pretty game breaking on the finals when I was messing around in the practice range when you put the guardian turret on a gas, goo or smoke canister you can clipped the turret through the wall and hit targets with them while you are behind the wall

Firstly, ensure that you have installed the latest Windows updates and restart before doing the next step.

Type "cmd" in the Windows search bar, right-click on it, and select "Open as Administrator."

Type "sfc/scannow" and let it run. Once it has finished scanning, type "exit" and restart your PC.
