I just don’t like lights on my team cuz it’s hard to tell if their good or bad and even if their good the meduim is a npc
I play light dominantly but I can assure I help carry my weight

I do too, its just when they are throwing them at my feet to try and light me up with a pyro grenade for a friendly fire kill it isn't very fun

I don't understand why people play meta in such a game. There is no fair competition in it. And everything tends to the fact that you are killed by the guy who has more fps. Isn't it easier to play for fun than to play to win in a game that 70% of players play with discomfort?

We just need mass buffs for everything in the game, every weapon on the heavy for example just feels so weak and sluggish to use. And I find that destruction should be more useful, I think adding some damage from falling debris would incentivize more destruction rather than only doing it for fun or bringing the cashbox down a level

I love all the shields and walls and stuff, but the goo was this games cool way of doing cover, and feel like the barricade and dome shield go against it.
They should have had multiple configurations for goo like vertical, all around, square, etc. Not necessarily all in grenade form but something like that.
And I know the others were there at day one with the goo, I just think this game would have been better with only goo as deployable cover.
I'm not counting mesh cause that's not deployable, it's a held shield

Essentially heavies would be forced to play defensively, Lights HAD to play cloak or else they would die, and medium had to run healing to prevent teamwipes
So removal was the route they took? It was so infeasible to fix they just pulled the plug?
No it was just that hated, it was the same speed as the Medium's turret and did 5 extra damage
Now imagine two of them in the same room, and you're locked in there with walls preventing your escape unless you blow the floor with explosive canisters (Those were much more uncommon) or have C4, The breaching charge, or Rocket
Or you had to hope you could get them to turn off before you died

Much as I love new variants, being basically new maps with a fraction of the dev time, I really wanna see more map evolution as a priority
- randomised jump pads/ziplines/ladders
- more map events (moving platforms/high rise/suspended platforms) such as scaffolding or bridges instead of directional jump pads
- more "game show" esque events like just a whole building explodes as an event, or all the ziplines and ladders disappear. Something genuinely game changing
Well then on maps like Construction Seoul then jump pads would have to be changed so people could get to the contruction spatform
Doesn't need to be drastically random, like keep it possible to reach areas as many times as they are by default, but it would be more fun if you had to take a new approach every game

You can't even say shotguns are op. The dB and model are/were but nothing else. The heavy burst shotgun isn't op btw. It's just okay in a sea of terrible heavy weapons
The reedemable thing about DB it's that you gotta be really at your face to burst a medium and heavy, and it's 2 shots so if you miss one you're kinda screwed. Same goes for heavy shotty which you really need to be up close for it to work (whenever I get killed by it, i'm 100% sure it was because I let the heavy get too close)
But Model is away too forgiving in many aspects for that amount of damage.
Close range power + medium = broken. That's why the model has been a problem since fcar got nerfed.

The problem stems from a very key point in the balancing of this game:
fast paced
It's not a stealth game, there should be no invis, nor sonar. You can hear everything, and destroy everything too.
It can be annoying, I can get that but Light doesn't have as much going for it as people claim
Theres a reason why in high ranked you almost never see lights
Headshots or not, I should not have to put FIVE rounds of 50 AE into a light build to kill them. Even if they are all body shots.
Oh light sucks to hell. The kit relies on pissing off everyone else to win. Problem is it also pisses you off, and now the games ruined for all teams
Light just isn't that good, there are good players and I would say I include myself in that group, but it has to work the worst hand as well

The gun is big, it is slow, it kicks super hard and takes a LONG time to reload. The gun has all downsides and no upsides to balance it. They need to beef the damage.
And like I was telling the other guy, it doesn't matter if I'm hitting all body shots, it should not take me five shots to take down a light build, seven shots to take down a medium, and nine shots to take down fellow heavies.
It’s just a kit that allows you to be selfish, in reality you should be with your mediums and heavy and flanking and engaging at the same time. Most lights are not pro players, and don’t play anywhere close to the effective way. It’s like when shlubs where complaining to blizzard to nerf thr “dive meta” for Overwatch and they came out and called out 99% of the players can’t even do do dive and it makes no sense to balance off super high level play lol.
Thats how I play light, I stick with the medium so that way they can't get jumped and can continue to support the heavy, I use cloak bc its the best specialization for light rn, dash got ruined, grapple still takes forever to recharge
But no I'm not pro, I don't even pretend to be and I agree, the majority of lights suck to have as teammates which is why I understand the complaints about them
Grapple should lose charge gradually as you hold it, leaving some if you end early
It’s not bad, it’s also not the evil scourge on the game either. The light kit just has the potential to be annoying or just useless which makes people hate it.
Grapple > dash. Vertical movement is life.
It also has the capability to really help a team, cloaking, dashing etc the only problem is schmo's who refuse to help their team
A light with thermal bore, goo, and breach charge is great. Grapple around, blow up exactly what your team wants with precision the heavy can't offer, and goo up and doors and unwanted holes
My main build tried and true
I usually play to help team in other ways, stun gun to prevent cash-out steals, gate-way for emergency exits, cloak to allow teammates to regen without being seen
Vanish bomb sorry, and my back ups are sonar, breach, and thermal bore
I think lights combative gear only works by making everyone angry so I avoid it all like the plague.
I only use it when I'm about to die

Yep. That's why you need to grapple into weird spots to avoid being the target when you get pushed.
You don't have the clean fight, you guarantee your team-mates win their clean fights

If they lose I kind of panic. It's why I don't usually play med or heavy in the first place, I panic on the spot, and they're always on the spot
Which thankfully with my teammates isn't to often, but if I need to I will just stun gun and kill if its to teamwipe then I will do it, its better to do that and not risk a third party fight
And I usually just go to clean fights up a lot of the times, I can win most 1v1's with other lights and a good portion of mediums
Even in a fair fight, its just they never seem to care about the whole "fair" fighting
I always try to help the medium win as a priority too. If one of us dies, best make sure a defib lives.
Being last alive as a light always sucks but it's inevitable
That's where lights come in. Even the odds without taking away from the satisfaction of a fight well fought
It just happens, but I'm used to it. Overconfident mediums that want to 3v1 with the worst guns for a 3v1 so I usually have to either get sneaky kills to safely revive or run and have them get mad at me for not reviving

Had a CQC bow/sniper showdown that started when a sniper was chasing me. I was at 7 HP when the rest of my team died so I had to retreat, ended up killing the sniper up close and couldn't hold myself from tbagging. After that there was another bow and all three of us were having a sideobjective of seeing who was better. the other two also emoted when they outgunned me.

what sucks about this is less then half the time the Deflected Bullets wont even hit back and all your getting is reduced damage and there is no point if you can just use the Riot shield and Block all the bullet damage
Imo riot shield shouldn't block as much as it does, it should be able to be like broken after a long period of consecutive fire, or like it can't be used for a little bit

But the fact that you can sit there and block mutiple magazines from every class without taking any damage and its almost impossible to hit the user if they are facing you is absurd

Sledge+winch is Hella fun. Throw in gravity cube for cashout manipulation
If you lift a cashout with the gravity cube it'll fly really far when you winch it
As much as I love winch claw I love how versatile the Goo Gun is you can get very creative with it but I mostly enjoy the mobility power it gives a Heavy
I make statues with it
I love using the Gravity cube and then making a cocoon for the vault leaving it stuck in the air

The Akimbo's are pretty good, but are overshadowed by the M60 and other Heavy options. I personally run:

Frag
Dome shield
RPG
Once the grab is finished they are briefly stunned which usually is enough time to do a fully charged hit from sledge

Nothing has changed with it there has been really no Buffs/Nerfs that have impacted it greatly just some slight fixes but that last time I saw it have a mention in patches was in season 3
Yeah Ik it hasn’t been changed really, but other weapons have been nerfed. I really like MGL, it’s my most played weapon on heavy and I honestly think it’s pretty good. You just need to adapt your playstyle to it

It would be a very risky move but they could do a season where you can choose any gadgets with any specialization any guns and any build like a heavy dashing around or grappling around and using any guns
Or like at the very least an event
It would be an absolute hassle because they would have to balance every specialization to each class (ex. Making heavy dash half as much as light dash to make people still want to play each class, or making light charge and slam faster, but deal less damage and knock back, maybe make the light sledge and spear clumsy, so heavy still is the better option to have over light so on so forth)
And make light movement with those weapons above at 0.75 and 0.9 respectively

I was in gold for s3 when I stopped playing but I could decently get consistent backstabs, any decent light would get out of the way via smoke + cloak and stir the pot of chaos herself or dash to avoid c&s

It's still not a good weapon for light, because playing so close on the most fragile class is extraordinarly dangerous. This is also why lh1 is the best weapon on light almost without exception: it lets you play at midrange.

Close range power. Not being able to properly contest the objective sets a hard limit on their offensive ability, offsetting their utility.
Heavy should also not get mid range power lest they control everything by sheer force of health.
thats why i think charge and slam should stay unnerfed, heavy is supposed to be good at extreme close ranges

Making it similar to the mini sentry from tf2 for example
Low range, low health, in return 360° detection, higher turn rate and faster charge up (with higher dps i think? Not sure about the numbers)
But that would make it potentially unbeatable with melee
Another solution could be something like GTFO
Cant turn at all and only attacks enemies that get into its vision cone
But with much higher dps
(Which should come along with visual changes to make it easier to avoid)

Yeah audio bug definitely needs to be fixed. How would you suggest the damage be tuned then ? I keep seeing people suggest a nerf to 80 damage but that would kill the spec honestly
Keep the 130 damage, just make it drain over time, how much exactly I don't know it something that need to be play tested

One suggestion I had was a 'rework'.
It has a charge, similar to cloak. Takes 40% charge to activate, and it puts you in the Charge.
Depending on how much time is left, you do that much damage.
You can stop yourself early as well, but you lose a lot of the charge if you activate again.

That's... Basically the same as what we have now
It just reward a bit differently. CnS rn do less damage the more you hit but my change do less damage over time, meaning if you able to hit people as fast as possible it will reward more and vise versa

Also in game feedback the jumping higher bug you posted feels more like a feature, just jump on the apex of a slanted surface going up and you'll understand
also if you get launched by a pad and wait before starting to bhop it feels like it converts the horizontal momentum to vertical one, making you jump higher
I could see it work but it really risky balancing cus you're giving heavy mobility.
