By the looks of it the chain seems quite good but guns with faster fire rates just melt u as soon as u hook them just cause it takes so long to pull the spear out. Maybe that's something they need to fix.

too soon to tell. we did not watch the definitive build. but: (i) katana does not block all damage, but seems to reflect back 100% of damage; (ii) bow is more versatile, close in damage, easier in mid and close distance; (iii) hook is intriguing but could cost you charge'n'slam.

Add an optic to tactical bow instead of traditional bow u have in s3,have a charged katana slash and forward thrust combo.

Katana is good at any gun that's not a sniper.. hits decent.. the bow and sniper are virtually the same, the bow is more for med rage or up close (though the draw time is slowish to fire if you want max dmg), the spear is pretty solid (the right click or alt attack doesn't do shot for dmg)
The winch will be huge with a melee.. ad it stuns the opponent as it sucks em it.
I can full clip a Pyro Heavy with the AKM & still lose that one š¤¦š»āāļø

Difference with breach charge is you don't need line of sight for it. For example when dropping down a cashout preventing it from being stolen

Ya, it does the splash damage on detonation and the thermite SFX counts as a fire source, if you bring the thermal bore you can both open sightlines and set the environment in flames up to two times in a row, this seems like it'll become a favorite for dispersing gas clouds as well due to that fire property

The main problem is that KS-23 does not give you that "high fun". At the moment it damages less than SR-84 but can't headshot, has no scope and super slow reload. It woud be much better if it had 125 damage so it could kill mediums in 2 shots, as well as heavyes in 3.

Use grenade and either goo to restart fights or teleport for outsmarting+ glitch against shields and stuff thats what i run normal grenade/pyro i use for dmg support

Actually, I don't like the weapons of new season. this game already has enough melee weapons, but a lot of "classic" weapons just don't exist in the game. I thought that they'll add some kind of sniper/battle rifle for mediums cause at the moment they are the only class that don't have "big gun". Also, i hope that they'll change demat somehow.

Honestly I think the Winch should have been a longer range but much slower grapple hook and the ability to pull arena throwables added to grapple too.

Ranged weapons should generally higher ttk. Lh1 has the best ttk in the game

If you hit a single headshot during a kill on any enemy, LH1 has the best ttk out of any weapon in the game besides 1 taps or instant burst weapons on light

The spear needs a buff. The special move is really punishing cause the range is deceiving and the range is shorter than ud expect. It's hit scanned. And the special move continues throughput so u can get shot at super easily. It probably needs a damage buff or the strike should be way faster cause rn it seems like its ALOT weaker than sledge.

Actually, i still think that recon senses should be in the game. At the moment medium is the only class that has no specialisations that work immediately. The recon senses was that one specialisation, which allowed medium to play aggressively. But itās gone due to the cries of light cloak players, that couldnāt resist the fact that enemy had counter to them. Itās funny that when season 2 released all detection gadgets were removed from medium.

The āholesā that are created by demat should always be the same size and that specialisation shouldnāt be used by the tablet, as i think.
Actually, demat is that one option for medium to play aggressive, but due to itās strange mechanic it feels kinda underpowered.

I mean it is kinda late for a weapons like that. Season 3 weapons are already locked in, next season is probably gonna have a different theme so adding a weapon like that would probably be out of place and light already has the most melee weapons (before we include the new season weapons)
We just found out about s3 few days ago so didnāt have time but look at the vid link weapon move set and tell if how unique it is
I mean it doesn't matter how good or unique the weapon is, unless Embark is holding a surprise from us, we already know all the new content that will be added between weapons, gadgets and specializations and this just isn't one of them.
Maybe they will add something like that later in the season, but I doubt it, since that would be a first time they did something like that. And I doubt they will add it next season coz of the reasons I stated before.
I'm not saying it is a bad idea, but there are for sure a lot of good ideas besides that and I just doubt there will be a space for something like that if they don't manage to find a thematic way to tie that in, in the future so realistically the chances are near zero of that being added.
At this point, the guy spamming the minigun specialization every day on game feedback has better chances of his thing being added.

I've seen you suggesting this countless of times already. The thing is that Embark already has weapons planned for every season and they would never just take someone's suggestion and make it a new weapon, not even if a lot of people supported it. They also already have the next season already planned out for weapons and such.
What you can suggest are balancing changes. Not that they're likely to read it, but that is at least something they can tweak easier.
It's just gonna save you some time and energy. Don't get your hopes up

No they are reading people's feedback on this discord and on reddit too for sure. A lot of people where asking to buff the throwing knives and they did. A lot of people asked to nerf the Fcar and they did, a lot of people asked to nerf the nukes and they did.
People have been asking Embark to fix the melee hit recognition for like forever and they did that too, they asked them to do something about sword animation skipping and they did.
Hell, they have added stuff I have seen singular people ask about, which granted was probably coincidence, but maybe they thought "hey that is a good idea an easy to implement so there it goes".

Even for season 3 both dual blades and bow have been highly requested, also medieval setting was something highly requested, so those might even be the reason they went with medieval Japan first out of the ideas they have

Well obviously no one called them dual blades but all of: Two katanas, katana for medium and swords for medium have been requested and discussed at this channel. I remember because I was talking about them myself.
Also the reflect mechanic, I, specifically suggested and probably some other people. I am not delusional enough that I would assume I am the sole reason in it is in the game, but I did think it was a good idea.
Sure most of the ideas people have are not added, usually coz they aren't that good (especially the balance ones, those very often feel like "I just got killed by that and I have no idea what to do about it so I am gonna post about it online" type of suggestions), but I am sure they are "collecting" ideas from the community they can see some potential.

I'm not saying L is bad, I play with L,M and H equally but what I'm saying is if you get bad team and you are only one left as a L against 3 players M,M,H or even M,H,L that are good it's over for you, where M might be able to go against them with extra health
i actually disagree with you there, i think being the only L in the game is very freeing, really let's you hit ganks on people without being intercepted by those pesky cloak Ls
if you're fighting anyone face to face as a light, you're definitely not playing in the most optimal way š

yes, light's worst enemy is actually other lights, at least in me experience. I can usually outmaneuver heavies and mediums, dodge their gadgets and the like, but lights just kill other lights sooooo fast and they can keep up so you can't run, which is usually your normal response when getting damaged.

It's bittersweet because I'm glad that the class has some more leverage, but it's at the cost of other light players
I think something that might be cool to offer a little more skill to the dual swords deflect is a small momnet on initalising reflect that reflects as normal but blocks all damage for the first second. so whilst you can press and hold you could also time it to avoid damage to offer a counter part to shields constant damge block while holding.
For TK I say just revert the damage buff. The accuracy and speed buffs were needed, but the damage is what makes them weapon OP

Tbh the buff to the time between throwing the projectiles was so massive that I think the dmg should be lower than it was even pre-buff. It essentially feels like getting hit by one projectile when you're on the receiving end.
Anyone having offensive success with the gravity cube? I like throwing it at enemies, some people just sit in it like fish in a barrel and it really messes with jiggle peekers.

revolver is a skill weapon. itās hard to use but it doesnāt need a buff
Well, not really. Dmg drop off of revolver does not make sense. Revolver is not strong even on short range, but on medium/long range is useless even if you hit headshots. A little range dmg drop at least would be fine

Objectively speaking the throwing knives have the fastest TTK because they never have to stop shooting which the xp5 has like a a 3.5 second reload window which leaves them vulnerable

XP has a 2,5-2,25 second reload (depends if it still has ammo in the mag) and dps of 255
the ttk on XP is : 0,56s for L, 0,92 for M and 1,34 for H
the ttk on TK is : 0,7 for L, 0,81 for M and 1,51 for H
(all body shots)
with headshots, TK is faster on L and H but slower on M
considering most of the time you dont hit headshots, especially not with TK the average ttk is lower
also this doesn't account for travel time/delay after firing so the actual ttk is slower
so this is just completely wrong

V9S (the pistol) kills L and H faster than tk
the shotgun kills fast but it sucks cuz you gotta be up close

From what I've been doing even lights with the dodge or grapple can't get out in time and they can do the same thing to the quick melee. I'm very curious if it has any good synergy with the spear since the only time I've had them get away is when the hook puts them in a weird spot that you can't quite reach with the sledge
How good is sledge and chain? Is there an input delay after you hook somebody?
There's a little bit of a delay but not so much that people can get away from you. Coolest thing I found so far that you can do with the hook is grab the cashouts

Dual swords don't make sense being in the hands of a class that isn't mobile, it would make sense being able to jump and dash around while deflecting. And instead of making it permanent block, it could be a timed block. Kind of like how throwing knives have a wind-up for heavy attacks. But in the hands of a medium, it feels like a gimmick let alone, I guess everyone's now supposed to forget about the riot shield?

Honestly its slept on. If you're quick, you can reshape nades, barricades, turrets, APS, etc. Completely denying an entire medium specialization is huge.

KS-23 should be reload 2 shells at first. Right now it can kill 2 people max or 1 wall and 1 person. Kind of defeats the purpose of having that utility if you have to wait 4 seconds to top off before being able to breach. Plus its poo poo at range if the opponent is doing any mild form of evasive action.

LH1 main here, please make the thing challenging again thats why i liked using it, the new firing animation is clunky and the gun is no longer satisfying to use. also it was already perfectly balanced and now the consensus is that its OP so I beg you embark: revert all recent changes to the LH1 so getting a kill with it feels sexy and rewarding again

Can we get a Heal beam that uses bullets or projectiles to heal, this will allow healing from long distances but you have to be accurate with the heal beam in order to heal
i love them so far just wish they were a tad bit faster
The deflect doesn't function properly, you cannot aim the deflected rounds in any capacity so it just works out as a worse shield.
i dont like the bows this season though
I like the dual blades, but they definitely need some more fine tuning.

For the reflect to actually be useful, the reflected bullets have to deal a larger percent of the original damage.

EMBARKS. Allow heavy players to throw their spears. But not unlimited like the throwing knives. Instead when u throw it once u have to wait for it to come back to ur hand kinda like Thors hammer. It's literally a SPEAR. And having to wait for it to come back even to engage in close range battle prevents it from being overpowered but viable longer distances. Maybe allow players to aim and throw it through by toggling on and off the aiming mode. WE NEED THIS IN THE FINALS.

I haven't used it, so I can't say, but from the outside perspective it looks like a better throwing knife, which is already very good
so as a medium, i consistently get two tapped by them, they fire about 0.4 seconds faster on average than a sniper and they're easier to hit mid range.
I don't think throwing knife is in a bad place, but unless there's some hidden property to the bow that gives it a weakness that shit is nuts, especially wish evasive dash
throwing knife needs a tiny nerf and its in a perfect place of being a really unique weapon like before but not trash enough where its unusable, being able to really quickly burst through enemies is bad as ttk on it is pretty fast

i feel like the ziplines/jump pad makes up for anything else

Spears amazing for power shift on platform, bow & arrow is a high skilled better sniper, the dual katanas do ~220 - ~270 in 3 hits with the ability to block 3 out of 4 bullets, the new update unless your skill diff is op
I still love and mostly main flamer, but I have to agree itās not great. Iām just such a bad shot with real guns that flamer usually works better for me š Its main purpose is crowd controlāfighting many people at once in close quartersāas well as dealing with goo, gas, and mines

I wouldn't say it's better sniper. It has damage falloff unlike the sniper, if you have any ability to quicskcope then the sniper is just as good at close and medium range as well probably better because it is hitscan and doesn't need to be charged up
Dual swords need a speed buff and or increased range, almost impossible to get a kill when theyre 5 feet away (maybe it's a skill issue) I'm tired of chasing lights and mediums for a mile while they regen.
Knives gets another buff? They were already way too good and now there's no skill required to use them and encourages everybody to play light.
Heavy gets their only good longer range weapons nerfed when there was no reason too.

It being a good mid ranged option heavy was the reason to nerf it, they absolutely shouldn't have those.

Dblades are sidegrade to shield, you trade block and better defense for more offensive approach and better TTK

There isn't 100% reflect because it's bugged. If you reflect for too long it stops and you just start getting hit

i think to balance this out i think med needs a spec that for a few secs makes u invulnerable to status effects and lowers dmd intake by a % just to give them some kinda of on the fly survivability much how light has its on the fly movement and hevy has on the fly dmg/stun

Iām not one to complain much about any game but the dual blades are OP and that defensive crap is just too much.. once or twice, or while standing still only is enough..
Mediums don't have movement to try and close the gap between them and a contestant so the blocking bullets helps them not be sitting ducks and you need to be able to move while doing it to escape without dash or mesh.
The maps ruin it if it was old rank it would be easier but even the new map is unbalanced if they want to stick to TA they have to rework all maps
