@slow flare srry my slowmode strted on the other channel. ive played as light alot. i use xp 54 frequently. the only prob is that i fear by upgrading lights too much they might forget abt mediums and heavies. just bring in new stuff for them and stop giving mediums medic stuff. last thing i want to be is a doctor in a shooter video game

I will tell you what I have been telling everyone so far. I assume it will work more or less like Ash's gadget from r6. You shoot it at a wall it burrows into it and explodes leaving space for sniping and possibly jumping/walking through

when i shoot a player with it to stick them, they can just run out the back and the goo stays stuck in the air for some time blocking me from dealing any damage or hunting them down
this makes basically all combat applications of this useless especially against lights and the only thing left to do is build a bunker (witch is terribly boring)
i understand that the old goo/player interaction was not good since it was possible to permanently trap someone
my suggestion would be to:
- at least have the goo not stay floating in the air
- but best make the goo apply a slow effect and not create a rigid foam if it hits a player. the slow could be indicated by a status effect "gooed" (like burning/EMPed) to have a visual indicator that the slow is applied.
this would mean that:
- It is no longer possible to permanently trap a player
- it is no longer possible to goo yourself up to block incoming damage
- it is no longer possible to interrupt a cashout steal by blocking line of sight to the cashout by gooing up the stealing player
- it is now possible for teammates to more easily damage gooed up enemy players
my suggestion for the "gooed" effect itself:
- duration 2 seconds (possibly less) ( this need to be enough to swap from googun to another weapon (eg. sledgehammer/flamethrower/shotgun) and do some damage before the effect wears out
- slow amount similar to stun gun

I have just noticed the most scuffed hit reg on the medium shotgun. I literally shot an enemy in the foot with most with most of my crosshair being in the direction he was walking from, not even on his body and he took the full 126 damage from that shot.
And I have been wondering why I was missing my shots with the shotgun since the hit reg changes, but no wonder if they are that scuffed.
Tbh a 20 shot stun gun isnât fun for the receiving end

I don't think you can. I tried making them work, my friend tried making them work. Usually you just end up flashing your own team or nobody and even if you flash someone the timer is so low that if they just run in the direction they where facing or behind a door they know is there and it will wear off before you get close enough to them to kill them

They should make flashes only flash those that are scoped in, so they work as anti sniper tools or something like that?
or make the players flashed also loose the outlines around the characters for like double the duration of the flash after the white screen fades

Ok I just had a kinda cool idea. How about a time rewinder specialization? You press the button and you go like 4-6 seconds back. You get to the position you where in, you get the hp you had, get back the gadgets if they weren't on cooldown at that point otherwise they just tick normally (that part might be possibly too powerful), get back the magazine to full if it was full at that time.
Would probably fit best on mid or light, but I could see it on heavy too.

Depends on what you want to use it for.
Good for initiating a fight for either yourself or a teammate, but it's not so good for mid-fight support since you run a much higher risk of accidental team flashes even if you're throwing it in "safe" spots to blind enemies and not friendlies. About a 6m effective blind radius, so you do need to aim it. Pushing open spaces means you can just chuck 'em to where the enemy is peeking from. Pushing closed spaces, either throw the flash into the middle of the room or by the entrance you're using.
Good for disengaging fights - right click / alt fire to drop it at your feet if you're being chased. Can be thrown to help peel for teammates, too.
Can be used for soft intel via hitmarker. It's reliable as long as you know what angles you can throw it in to not tag your teammates and give a false positive. 25ish meter Tag radius, so throwing it into the sky isn't a bad choice.
Tagged enemies also have their HP revealed. I've found that the added visibility helps teammates, so even if you don't flash for effect, it can still help them out at mid-long range. HP Reveal is also strong for any area with a high amount of foliage as you'll be able to use the bars to aim. Also really nice for me as a Light since it lets me better gauge the situation, especially when 3rd partying.

The only way I see this being used is if you're using a close range weapon since the heavy can't really catch up but at that point just use mesh shield to force them towards you and then you can play close range. Its good in theory but in practice there wouldn't be much reason to use it
They should buff the tracking dart gun.

depends, dash can be used to get in or out of fights, get you in a better position, get behind the enemy. make sure to never let them get a clear shot on you because youâll get beamed. + if you fuck up thereâs higher room for error because of the throwing knifes slower rate
dash is versatile compared to grapple and is better for survival then invis due to the nerf
Honestly I donât think the sword on medium is a good idea. Medium without a gun need to be able to block otherwise they can easily get gunned down
agreed. medium doesnât have dash, getaways or any quick movement

Even though it's not 'game-breakingly' OP, I genuinely think TKs should be tweaked back a little. The buff definitely made them more useable. However it doesn't feel right that 4 hits from a weapon that can be constantly spammed without reloads is all it takes to kill a full health Medium. One of the buffs they've done should be reverted (I'd say damage ?).

The only issue with throwing knives is that the feedback for having knives thrown at you is really poor. So it feels frustrating to be hit by. It kinda feels like youâre just randomly taking damage while a light is staring at you

That's how the game is designed. Lights have counter measures to avoid getting hit too easily.

I wouldn't say 'too easily', dash is easy to track, cloak is a joke, grapple isn't fast enough... a light will rarely get away if a medium is after them. The light has to play out of their minds usually.

The 357 isn't competitive, almost never seen used in Ranked, yet it can still be a fun weapon to use. You're putting yourself at a disadvantage but that's also what makes it satisfying.
The KS23 felt a bit similar at the beginning of S2. It was slow/sluggish and required good aim, but it was satisfying when you managed to land your shots. They've made it worse by trying to align it with other H weapons.
I've seen people beam enemies with TKs prior to the nerf, they were indeed good players, and I think it was a cool display of skill.

Use evasive dash, hitting someone in the back does A LOT more damage so using a quick dash to get behind them is good. Make sure to practice with it in the practice arena before actually using it, and make sure you donât get into any medium or long range skirmishes

frag kills are a bit hard to secure but if you land it it's satisfying, if you want guaranteed damage I'd recommend pyro.

I think healers are spotted more often in teams instead of people solo queing (which is most of us), since then they know they can trust their teammates and they're worth healing, compared to with rando's who you might have to carry

1)delete snipers or delete hitscan from them
2) make respawn blocked to enemies, a lot of time 2-3 lights with invis sitting on respawn and waiting for you, when their teammates pushing a cart
3) maybe making invulnerability for few second when spawning
4) completle change spawns on maps like stadium and horizont
i dont think deleting snipers is warranted. even though i do feel like that alot of the times. but right now sniper is just braindead to use. so changing to projectile would be nice
i used to play power shift solely. having to see 3 snipers every match has gotten to the point where its too much.

If you're not looking right at the heavy from a distance of 10m or less, you likely won't see if he'll fire or not
I think u and more people should talk about how game balance should be made around different game modes as stuff like flamethrower,sniper and all explosives break the game in power shift.

The rpg laser shouldnât just be decal itâs should the most visible the closer u get to it and needs to be aimed to for laser and firing mode to be activated.
The decal laser should be specific to the sr 84. The rpg laser should be seen FULLY, as its a projectile and you'd have time to get away if you were to see it in time.

Trust me ive tried so much. I have played powershift and powershift only since it came out. I have tried my fair share of counterplay options. Its just pure suffering having to deal with 3 snipers sitting at spawn and u canât go up there and chall them because the chance of 2 of them hitting u is quite big. Also having to respect an infinite range 1 shot hitscan weapon has become unbearable over hundreds of hours. Ur winning a 1v1 ? Oh no u dont. A sniper thats hardscoping from spawn that just respawned hit u for 115. Oh u wanna go on a building? Nah, u have to drop down again because an infinite range hitscan weapon thats someone is using at spawn hit u for 115.
So powershift is just dead to me unless they change sniper to be projectile based. So u atleast have options instead of it being hitscan which i find OMEGA-cringe
I also tried countersniping. But thats just boring to me because i dont want to play that brainrot weapon.
So hundreds of hours later in PowerShift, its not fun anymore for me personally. Snipers killer my favorite gamemode
@obsidian nexus powershift also became my main gamemode due to me not having access to ranked or cashout, and snipers killed it for me as well
im just going back to quick cash for now. Quick cash and Cash-out are also still really enjoyable because i still really love this game. except snipers, on powershift xD

There was apparently a bug where red canisters don't count towards that goal, so people would have to use the fire ones.
You can also try detonating them instead of throwing or vice versa depending on what you have been trying so far.
Also try activating mines with them, that might also work or count some wierd combination of the damage dealt.
Any CL 40 mains out there? I like never see this weapon in games, but i usually do very well with it. And i love using it to detonate gas mines immediately after throwing them

goo gun is underrated, gives heavy a option for vertical movement, can seal up doors and vents, can move the cash out, and you can set up head glitches really easy

I agree, competitively the shield does have it's benefit, but unlike the other two specialties of heavy... Goo gun has no counter, it's super versatile to play attack or defense, and unlike most specialties this one reloads like a gun...and honestly, a lot of player have no idea what to do when the heavy starts gooing

Shoot all of the explosive and fire cubes that dangle from the sky and all the fire canisters you see
I lvoe to see cl40 usage, its my personal favorite weapon. I'm not sure about grenade detonation, i was led to believe it was only mines. But now i think explosive mines have to wait 1.5 seconds to get full damage if detoanted with cl40. My favorite cl40 loadout is dematerialize/heal, gas mine, jump pad and defib. The gas minr is great all around, and can be used offensively and defensively, pairing it with the cl40 to detonate it early. Jump pad can be placed on walls, and cl40 shots shot at the jump pad to hit around corners. I haven't done it too muhc, i need practice. But try stuff out in the trainirnr arena, see what works and what doesnt.

Imo grapple is the worst of the 3 on light so switch to dash or invis but be careful invis is not as "good" as it used to be and for weapons xp-54 or M11 are some of the best weapons on light or lh1 if you can pace your shots, oh and hit your shots

I would recommend before you play pubs or ranked go to the practice range with lh1 and try pacing your shot and get a good feel for the gun with aim assist turned off if you're on controller

there will be 3 phases for the gun
1.wined up phase: gun not shooting 0.5 - 1 sec

they can easily add a new special Q ability to the lights like a stim shot that boost their maximum health from 150 to 200 a 50 plus increase for lights after they shot and the meter is gone the ability recharges doesn't recharge until the meter is gone to prevent spamming and it will make the useful and let them be able to use it as support for teammates to increase there health but only get one use till the teammate takes damage then u get it back it will help with light not being a support what so ever and the health situation as well. do u think that might work

Laser sight so itâs visible to other players like a warning so u can prepare

The issue with throwing knives is if both players have similar skill with 2 weapons, the TKs have the lowest expected TTK and will usually win the fight
Just for the fact they have the throwing knives. If you don't realize this, you are probably trash with them, because when I play them it is clear how easy kills are when they shouldn't be so

The throwing knives have the same ttk as the smgs. They are really okay
The only issue with throwing knives is that they give poor visual feedback when fighting them so they feel frustrating to play against

Yeah not really. You can dash and shoot with smgs without losing accuracy. You canât do that with throwing knives. The dash lifts you into the air and gives you spread with throwing knives

Spamming it isn't going to make the devs see it any better. They're not going to add something because one person is spamming it. They're people too and will likely react like a lot of us do when we see a copy paste spam and scroll on passed it.
I don't know them, but I reckon they're more likely to add things if people, alot of people discuss and agree with adding somehting. For example I've seen tons of people want to a bow added. Not just one person spamming "add a bow" (I know your msgs are more then just that). A Bow is being added. I saw it come up in multiple conversations with what class it should be on ect. Not just wanting it added but discussing the item. (also to be clear i know you've put in your message what class the ideas you have should be on so my example isn't great there, But the difference being a discussion with multiple people vs one person saying something)
tldr spamming isn't the way, and you need people to agree with you and you're less likely to get that with spamming the same copy paste daily or even multiple times a day.
When using the new heavy spear spin move or spin attack, it should go into the 3rd person mode/view with a smooth transition like how does it with the mesh shield cause it would be dope to see the character doing the attack itself. Please introduce this into the game if its not done already.

whats yalls opinion on this idea for the rework of recon senses.
instead of activating the ability and instantly seeing people through walls, make it like the tracking dart where when you shoot them you can see them through walls after activating the ability. similar to invisibility, you activate the ability, it has a bar, and anyone you shoot is tracked until your bar runs out or you disable your ability. alternatively if that ends up being too strong, make the tracking last only a couple seconds

You used to be able to quick melee stuff midair after throwing (breaching charge was used the most) for a quick 199dmg burst

i have used them a few times to steal a cashout with 2 thrown smokes, its so dense you literaly cant see anything inside, makes it very helpful capturing a cashout that is in the open with no cover

Sorry to interrupt but Iâve an idea. For ranked cash out play may I suggest the use of a shared gadget pool for 3 man teams. All team mates must share gadgets so that there may only be one gadget available per team. This would address the compounding advantage of two rocket launchers, two defibs, and more. It would passively buff light by allowing their gadgets to shine. It would encourage more creative use of gadgets because you only have 1. It would allow underutilized gadgets to find a place in the Meta. I would not apply it to weapons or specializations. Could be changed later if you wanted. Thoughts please??
When equipped with the heavy spear, they should allow u to roll or dodge to make up for the fact that their a big walking target and have no means of running. It would also increase the depth in this game. Please include a roll feature but only as a special mechanic when weilding the heavy spear.
Also give lights a health splash or stim shot
