Medium has high health and op revolver hitscan with high recoil but fanning revolver for light has lower range and recoil and low accuracy hipfire so itās for beginners who canāt handle medium revolver,itās also projectile based like ks shotgun so u have to u have to account for projectile speed and bullet drop,itās fair and skill based.

What weapon should I use with med(heal gun) goo grenade pyro and defilibrator
Suggestion
- Nerf stun gun range from 10+ meters to 7 meters but increase duration by 1 second. The stun gun should reward close quarter battles more and.
- Increase glitch silence duration by 2 seconds, Increase throw distance by 5 meters and time for activation on impact by 3 seconds (so it can go farther). It is underwhelming in ranked-mostly used for defence on cashouts and does not receive enough fighting options outside of these scenarios.
- Gateway distance increase by 10 meters. Just to add more options on gameplay for those last second hail mary plays.
- Vanishing Cloak recharge time increase by 4 seconds. Vanishing fadeout time increase by 0.25 seconds. Light get too much free space with near instant invisibility.
- increase HP by 25 and regen activation by 25% (if it take 16s for them to start instant healing the light will start healing at 12s)

Doesn't necessarily mean you're avoiding conflict, but your mines just haven't been stepped on, such as being left in a building, or you're defending the cash out effectively
I mean, like I said, I'd be cool with them making it harder to set up, like starting a longer (10 sec maybe?) timer if a c4 gets put on a throwable, but the current approach of resetting the timer when you throw a nuke combined with the trajectory nerf completely kills it.
or even making your C4 not cooldown as long as it's on a throwable or something. I understand why some people didn't like the mechanic but I want it to be doable, even if it might be harder to do so that the super low TTK is justified.
To me it wouldve been more fair to just do the trajectory nerf in first place and see how things go. So i agree with you that both nerfs completely killed it. Reducing the c4 to 1 how ever was kind of fair imo.
Yeah I'm not that upset about the charge reduction tbh, but I really liked explosive canisters and nukes for destruction and the timer reset already makes nukes nearly unusable, but the trajectory nerfs just make the cans immediately go wherever they want whether or not it had a C4 on it

It would depend on how committal it is. Because if you can mesh shield up to someone, yank them into sa12/sledge range and just immediately go to town that might be an issue.

Or my favorite, oh you finally managed to make it to the power shift objective? Nah thereās a heavy with 4 shields that melts you before you can react. Then surprisingly enough flamethrower damage stacks, basically killing you instantly

It has 85 DPS and very short range. Stand your ground and shoot them, or just shoot from moderate distance.
Kinda hard to do when every objective is in close quarters, or is a small platform
objectively, a flamethrower heavy thrives in a cqc environment. thats their job, holding down a location and torching whoever gets in their way. i think that its meant to be a good defensive weapon
if the flamethrower heavy is on the platform then thats part of the games design ngl
you should get hard punished for making a bad decision on pushing the platform, you could find a rooftop to shoot from and try and push from there, whittling away the heavy until you can properly and confidently push
its like getting into a fight with a shotgun user while knowingly getting within shotgun distance
Gotta aim with a shotgun. Platform is impossible to retake when there are 2 heavies and 2 mediums on the platform spamming shields and aps turrets, then mesh shield with way to much health, then you forgot about the sniper light picking off everyone trying to shoot the shields/aps/mediums healing the heavies
good counterargument... i think a light could completely disable that with glitch nades though, if they have a shield up

Allows you to scan a physical object which then lets you use that object once.
You can scan anything from a chair to a mine or even a turret.
Scanning can only be done in melee range of said object.
Would probably go on light class.
You'd have a time window were you can use whatever you scanned and if used or if time runs out the ability goes on a pretty long cooldown

yeah mines are a good place and forget type cashout defence

I thought about weapons, specifically snipers: for medium a marksman rifle that can need two head shots to kill medium (head and body to light) for heavy maybe a heavy sniper with slow Ads time and slow fire rate (1.75 time the fire rate of the light sniper) but it can one shot medium to the head and head shot body shot heavy, 3 bullet in mag and 0.15 seconds faster reload than M60
Cool idea, the Medical Stim could perhaps be similar to Throwing Knives, but instead a single throwable syringe š It'd probably be better though if it just regenerates health over time. Would definitely make Light more beneficial for team play.

The fcar is extremely frustrating to go up against as a light....the insane damage at a range even makes running sniper difficult and up close this weapon can kill a light in 3 body 2 headshots

RPG is also great at killing yourself...it has 2.5x self-damage multiplier
its hard for me to talk abt fcar and akm bc when I first played AKM felt trash, fcar felt barely better
now i have 45 hours on the finals and fcar main and i get a lot of kills with it, tried AKM too and it feels good and its not hard to get kills with it

When starting out the gunplay Is weird but after 237 hours in this game the gunplay feels very natural and the shooters feel clunky after this
if youre thst type of heavy, sure, but unlike C4 i can kill that 140HP light without needing to wait 3 seconds arm time
clip size is a super valid tradeoff though and I think makes it really hard to use without team support which I think is why they're letting it stay meta... it pushes coordination better but in case you need the sustainability there's the ak etc...
Same here, used FCAR for the longest time, gave AKM very brief tries here and there, hated how it felt, so always went back to FCAR. Recently gave AKM more of a try again, loved it, and now use it almost exclusively.

I'm kinda glad breach charge and c4 got nerfed because while their util was fine in all other scenarios hiding them on/under cashouts was way to potent to stall IMO

Honestly the majority of my argument comes from the fact that RPG was a staple before c4 was reduced to one charge. they were never competing for the spot RPG just won. it was a matter of is C4 worth the spot over something else.

I think it's exactly what heavy needed to break the lewis gun repetitive ass meta and bring the class some creativity and easy mobility around a sometimes confusing map style for players who haven't learned it.

wished smoke grenade dint need 2 throws to actually create a THICK cloud, i had some uses to steal the cashout inside the smoke on open areas, but its hard to justify using it only for that

thats the only real issue with the game ngl, its fun with a skilled friend group but you almost never have a skilled friend group to play with
if a game can only be enjoyed with friends then its success and merit are extremely limited
i would love to play party through lfg but i am a Light main so i dont have much chances to find a cool group

I've been having a blast playing light on power shift with 93R, grapple, tracking dart, frag and glitch grenades. A tracking dart marked bad guy in 5v5 gets so many teammates hungry for blood.

flashbang is really meh, i can't remember the last time i died to a flashbang, i'm guessing it's because there are so many spots an enemy can be at you can't really throw flashes that pop a tenth of a second after you see them like in valorant or smth

I'll admit I get the most use out of flashes when i've either swapped to them mid-match or third partied a fight. It works well with friends because nearly everyone I know plays Heavy like a pissed off gorilla and they know to go in and wreck the place when the flash goes off

That's why a counter would be nice. It's one thing if a low health assassin class can see me, but getting global wallhacks applied to me because someone landed a scoped rifle shot from >100m away would be awful. Literally caught and exposed in 4k
Maybe tinker a more tolerable ratio, shorter ping
- you can stop steals instantly (even better if there's gas on the cashout cuz theyll have to sit there)
- get free kills on anyone using melee
- stop people from chasing you
- stun someone as soon as your team peaks for an almost guaranteed kill (they're gonna panic and be stuck in the open)
It's hard for me to deviate from the idea of the flare gun being a weapon like Team Fortress 2
works like taser with a slightly slower projectile, give it a neon/glitchy look, makes you visible to everyone in a short AoE instead of unlimited range for one player

I hear that, but I get to play a totally different game with the 93R or any other weapon really while letting the threats too far away for me to engage know that me and everyone my team color knows where they are and where they're coming from. Power Shift has designated spawn sides, so naturally the teams face a particular direction when expecting where the enemy is coming from.
I pop one or two on the way to the platform, then play close to the objective with a short range weapon. Same goes when defending the platform. I can mark someone on their approach and now my whole team and I know where they're coming from or hiding. I know you can snipe with an actual rifle in the same position, but a huge majority of players seem to prefer to not do it from the platform.
yes, i also play Power Shift frequently with darts. Glitch nade and HE nade is what mandatory for me so the third slot is free and i use it for darts sometimes
It's not that, it's just that them not moving is strange to me when I fire, and I'd rather have pyros, glitches and gateways I don't see the point besides to stopping cashouts

eh doesn't really make a difference because tracking is the same with every weapon apart of the recoil, you're gonna have an easier time hitting a static target, the angular velocity is lower but you can track that just fine, you already do that whenever you beam someone at range
and tracking something that's moving more slowly to you is always easier as far as i know

it does make a difference in the recoil, there's more recoil smoothing when anti-mirroring because the angular velocity is higher, ottr had a very interesting vid about that

yeah the damage numbers are the same but the m11s higher fire rate gives it a faster ttk at close range

And a better sight. The sight makes a massive difference. No point in having more firerate if your shots don't hit in the first place

The fcar is still the best medium weapon though the new recoil change is hard to get used to, the akm is right up there though. If you want to try a shotgun the 1887 is very strong and hits hard at a surprisingly long distance

You have to remember lights can't take head on engagements and the stun is the only tool that tips the scale to their favor, I agree the stun needs to be changed but it's not a nerf that's needed lights just need more to work with

Support isn't the absence of killing, a sniper is good at holding down positions and lines of sight. A good sniper makes it impossible to play out of position, other weapons excel better at pushing and breaching and being the main tool of the job.

Light is a support class. The health disparity makes it so that you're at a massive disadvantage in every fight by default. You're supposed to be an offensive support distracting and debuffing your enemies and only go for frags when you see the right opportunity for it. Yes, you can get kills but not consistently because your ability to get kills depends entirely on picking the right fights and oftentimes the right fight won't be there in the first place. That's why you have movement abilities/invis, they let you pick and choose the time and place at which you engage and if you're not engaging directly (most of the time) the next best thing is supporting your team
if you pick light with the objective of solo carrying, you're gonna end up stunning full health players, getting beamed and wondering what went wrong
it's just math, before you kill that heavy you're either gonna be dead or reloading/running back to cover
which is also why light is the hardest class, because you can't just take every 1v1 like a heavy, you're gonna get obliterated unless you're smart and fast enough to only end up in fights where you have a clear advantage

stun gun is very good for support if you can coordinate it because sometimes you won't be able to solo the fight even after you stun somebody due to HP differences but if you have teammates with you that enemy is gonna be stuck in a 1vX in the open and get beamed. Gateways can give you a huge boost when transporting the cashbox, they can give your team access to a different elevation or past enemy line of sight and let them reposition instantly once it's set up. You can also put them on the cashout for nades or to tp in and out and stun when it's getting stolen. Glitch grenades have been nerfed but can still instantly shut down a heavy's shield, stop steals and disable a defensive setup (cough cough gas mines)

when i run it i usually put one on the cashout and one under it cause a lot of people don't seem to check it properly in pubs
if you can do it with rpg and breach charge you can probably do it with just breach charges depending on how far away the enemy is
