Sniper needs a buff. Either a HS multi increase or a rechamber speed increase. It feels really unrewarding to headshot a medium and them either getting away or killing you if you miss a single follow up shot.
damage should increase by distance so maybe a one shot really far away but up close less damage so its not op
That would make it even more unreliable and would force light players to stay away from obj. It should be a bit clunky in very tight close-up fights, but med-long to long range it should reward accuracy which it doesn't atm. Also m14 needs a buff as I literally never see it played.

We have no way to gage distances outside of pings. Having its damage change on distance would just force people to either rushthe light, putting us back at square 1, or make players build a fort of goo. Which would lead to lights just not using the sniper at all.

Not asking for it to be meta, I just want it to feel rewarding. You're already playing the weakest class in the game and using a single shot weapon that requires high accuracy. Which is why I said either a rechamber buff to land follow up shots easier or a HS multi. Body shots are fine with the damage they have now imo
Even with the rechamber buff it would still require 3 body shots to kill a medium
The only thing I can see being an issue is an increase in riot shield usage by medium. But even still its not really played as is so it would mix up the "meta" we have now.

I agree that the sniper need a change or balance; in specific hands (less than 15% player base) a 1 shot sniper would be a menace for the other players (casuals), but in overral, i think that a "Buff" like doing more damage depend on the class you shoot or slightly damage boost would be at least interesting at this moment in the game, have to wait in S2

If certain weapons are "bad" then they'll never see play (m14). Leading to a stagnant meta. What we have now isn't bad. I like the med/med-long range play we have now. But outside of that lights are completely useless. Super close range and we get 1shot by like 30 different things. Super long and we can't deal meaningful poke damage or secure kills reliably.
Giving us at least 1 long-super long range weapon would open up different options for lights and also make riot shields more useful indirectly.

All cash boxes can be made to be in the open? That's what heavy players are for.
Have them demo the building. If it's not under your control then having a sniper for cover fire would be ideal to push in and take it.

How can we bring attention to barricades being ruined on console? They've made them easier to pick up which is probably good for PC but that's unintentionally made them useless in combat on console. Deploying them quickly and pulling your primary out is impossible on Console now.

They should let controllers have the option of auto sprint and separate use item and pick up buttons.
If you have good movement and are tricky enough you can get super close and decimate enemies, take it from meā I main sword and tk
Completely agree when I used them originally I would throw one down switch to my gun and shoot but itās so clunky and slow now you canāt really use it in combat

Tracking Dart for sure. I am very biased towards it but with the Revolver against Lights specifically you can tag em and drop em with two shots or 1 headshot
Tracking dart legit is just recon but weaker, zip line is the second best mobility in the game so Iād go with that.

idk itās kind of silly that the lewis is able to play close up so easily. it makes picking the lewis kind of a no brainer and you donāt really have any reason not to. also i think the m60 is already good on its own tbh. just completely outclassed by the lewis

I prefer the m60 personally and at range it feels like I'm fighting the gun more then the other team and the hip fire is awful unless they are in your face it makes beating lights with the stun gun impossible
Might be a weird take but I wish the APS worked in a cone in front instead of a circle around it. It still prevents grenade spam in doorways, but still allows breaking walls around it. As it stands APS just reduces viable options instead of being a defensive tool that you still have to think about placing. A good comparison is it feels like they gave the dome shield the same HP as the barricade on heavy. It should either be directional or eat less explosives

I definitely recommend the two shield abilities to counter longer ranges, RPG for at least some longer range. And the last thing of your choice depending on your play style. C4 is what I would use to counter people pushing you while someone is stealing the cashout

50 Caliber Heavy Sniper that's a one shot one kill with only one bullet for heavies xD
It could 149 on body shot on all rangers and even be magazine fed, with extremly high recoil, slow relod and cycle rate and iron sights imo
I'd say make it a specialization where you have to put this rifle on a bipod(I assume it's gonna be Barret M107) with everything you said but let's still give it a scope. This would make heavies think what would they prefer: protection, goo, charge or range rifle

Depends. If youāre playing with a heavy, heal beam is great. If you have good aim, recon and fcar are good. Turret is useful if you want to play defensive. Fcar vs AKM, Fcar if you can hit your headshots. Jump pad and zip line are both good and you should probably use one. Defib is great combined with heal beam.

xp54 on light the m11 isnt as stable in most distances
m11 is the best at hip firing but mp5 is more agile so I'd suggest starting out with mp5 and then see where the wind takes ya
For sure. Itās just that I was getting so used to controlling the m11s recoils pattern so being at a distance didnt really bother me. But yeah I gotta aim really well with it. With the xp itās much smoother. And It actually gets trickier for me using the xp at close range. Thatās where the m11 shines. Love both guns but yeah I wanna be more agile so imma get good with the xp. Thank you š

MGL32 idea: After bouncing, the mass of the grenade increases so it doesn't go as far. It would make firing from above easier, not to mention closer range.

That's a playstyle and skill issue. The fragger build for med is recon fcar defib jump pad and a nade. Also the healing beam is strong even if its just 1 on a team.
Also if anything the medium class has more flexibility in playstyle cause all gadgets are viable and 3 mediums could only go wrong if none of them have a healing beam or defibrilator

Brass knuckles for medium would be cool, spiked bat maybe for heavy. Someone needs a .50 cal Deagle, not light. Light needs an assault rifle with either a lot of recoil or not as fast TTK. Medium and heavy need precision weapons, kinda.

No, gas blocks off a certain part if the map, and you really want to be communicating with your teammates, so i think it is more beneficial to run recon and gas grenades if you arenāt a designated support player
Why would you recommend recon sens to solo when you have to give callouts and recon grenade for team when it tells everyone. Makes no sense
You are really just trying to get yourself kills, If you wanted to find peoples locations, you would just use sonar grenades, but it comes down to preference

For cover sure but in terms of outplay it's nowhere close. Can peak out with bubble since you can shoot through it and dome for tms while providing cover fire etc

i find the ballistic sheild is better because its instant cast so in combat i can place it down as a outplay tech and it wont stop my flow. bubble sheild feels too clunky imo, but maybe thats a me thing š
Yea the instant cast is why I gave it a go but I like it duck behind cover so I dome out from cover to re aggress. The barricade is like the cover but it doesn't really sheild you when shooting (just a nice head glitch). If you play cover optimally during a fight shield should be better.

bubble shield is used 90% when either you're healing somebody, or stealing a cashout, whereas the ballistic shields are made for defending your cashout, thats why you can place them up to 6 (+ they are quite strong)
Just look down and bubble it hardly moves.
Otherwise if throwing a distance place it against the wall
- i hate the thing that bubble shield bounces before deploying, which is annoying. better would be if it was deploying on first impact, and maybe even stick to the surface

It's not a problem I see tbh, just comes with experience. If you move forward with it and and look down or throw it where it pops covering your movement instead of trying to get inside it, should be no problem

How do you play on an useful way? You can for sure play it more aggressively and deal big burst of DMG, but it's an high risk with an high skill ceiling, so at the end of the day is still better to play another class or another weapon instead

Good for you mate but, unfortunately, most of them prefer vanishing bombs instead of smokes. If smoke grenades were given to mediums and heavies as well it would make thermal vision more popular as well so it's a win win I think

Medium-medics would utilize them to revive in a middle of the battle, mediums with recon would also find use for them seeing enemies in smoke. Heavies with sledgehammer could apply them to safely cross an open area or stealthly creep on opponents, flamethrower users would use them to put out fires they made so they won't burn themselves

FIre is one of the best ways to get rid of a well goo-fortified area; if a heavy could just toss one down to prevent the goo from being lit and to extinguish it, then the breaching team would have to restort to either explosives - if they have any - or they would have to shoot it, which generally doesn't work against a competent goo gun heavy

But there's a way to deal with it I think: if a cashout is in some kind of building you could make a small breach and toss a few gas grenades in there before heavy notice it. Gas and smoke blend together and cause of smoke gas cannot be burned so it would make a hard time for an enemy team to position themselves in the way where gas doesn't damage them and they can see the breaching attempts
This is true, but my concern then would be dealing with more than one heavy; not to say this wouldn't work. It would be great in any tight spaces which have been goo-fortified, especially in areas like the elevator.
And, since I don't know, for one, does gas or smoke have a bigger AOE, and for two, if a gas grenade is partially within a smoke's AOE and fire touches the gas in the area that is not in the AOE, does it still end up burning and clearing the gas?
I'm not sure about the last one, all I know that gas and smoke mixed together are very difficult to deal with but it needs some testing to be sure if there's a way to burn it
And I think it mostly depends on heavy's skill to react fast
If they miss one breach it could mean the game changer, who knows

I wonder how the absolute ridiculousness of the KS-23 is going to be in The Finals. 4 gauge slugs can produce up to like 200 lbs of felt recoil and could realistically delete a light class from existence. Absolutely love the KS-23 and glad to see it in another game.

It needs something, it's main selling point was it's range but then they nerfed it's range for no reason now it's just a harder to use shotgun
But it is in a lot of cases
Smoke > Fire > gas
Sledge > flamethrower > defib rushing
Charge > barricade
Glitch > Shield > dmg
Eh the only thing close to a triangle is the interaction between smoke fire and gas
but gas is way stronger than the rest by far, fire has utility yet itās not worth it typically, and smoke is weak and not worth running.
Some things have more general use than others, I don't argue that, but most things have a counter
In general though I wouldnāt say any class counters another, the meta is what it is because light doesnāt provide anything substantial enough to be worth running.
Why run a mostly short range glass cannon with little other utility when you can run:
a medium which is a midrange DPS on top of a healer/support
or a heavy that also does a lot of damage, reshapes the terrain, and provides a ton of shields.
i'd say the problem lies more in medium and heavy and not light so much.
light does have it's issues and needs more utility it can bring to a team. but the fcar, imo, is a problem in its current state. and some could argue the lewis is a little much also.
currently, there's a bug for mesh shield though. unconfirmed if a bug or not, few ppl are acknowledging it. explosive dmg goes through mesh shield. if a feature, it's a pretty huge nerf to mesh shield.

Theyāre by far the worst at surviving 5 seconds completely immobile in the middle of the chaos and do nothing for sustain/protection for teammates doing the same.
Reviving is the same way, huge loss of value when your only option for revives are running/sneaking around.

i think that u can be too mobile with the sniper for that to be not op

I have no idea, i've seen some people mention a smg for heavy but im not too sure about that. Its also possible that this is just a gun that they are teasing, they might not add it for this update, but sometime in the future. I have a faint memory of them doing something similar with another gun or gadget but i am far from sure. They are a bit sneaky tho and like to throw in little hints and teasers into the trailers so it wouldnt surprise me if it's added further down the line if im right

Actually, looking closer at this, the thing in front of the trigger looks like the dumbass safety on the famas, so its very possible that its just the famas and not a new one, but the thing that looks like a magwell at the top is still odd
also the cardboard mp5(?) that the heavy is holding looks like another intro emote that they're releasing
its similar to the cardboard revolver used in the western set thats in the shop

Looks like an AK to me, but like velol said in the dm, its odd that the heavy would have an ak, or in this case an smg. But its possible that its just a showcase and not necessarily a gun they'd actually have unlocked

Idea for the shotgun for the medium, there should be a small headshot multiplier ever so slightly you should be able to 1 shot headshot a light when you are in kissing range I find. or aiming at the head point blank should reward you somehow
i have a suggestion, I think having 4 equipment instead of 3 could be another game mode idea, a lot of time 3 feels a bit underwhelming. also on controller I guess nobody uses the wheel + joystick up to change equipment back to main weapon (because you can just press y instead). On keyboard just add another key bind i guess

Okay hear me out u should add a bundle where the items are the Stun gun,Defibulator and Glitch grenade and they are all electrical themed
Stun gun-the stun gun u pull out ur finger in a gun shape but u also activate electric in ur hand and shoot the lighting from ur finger.
Defibrillator-You have ur hands open and as u go to run up to defibrillate ur teammate electric comes out ur hands and shocks them a bit like wattsons revive from apex
Glitch grenade-U hold a ball of electricity and throw that and it explodes and for the second one to appear u do some sort of summon animation to create the electricity
i personally think these will be so cool to have

KS23, it's a russian shotgun that's made with a recycled aircraft barrel that fires huge shotgun shells. in this case, it fires a slug.

I love how one of the new guns is an obscure soviet era 6 gauge shotgun that uses a recycled 23 mm anti-aircraft barrel with equally large shells. With how strong it is in real life, I can't wait to see how its balanced in Season 2!

Heavy: Lewis Gun, SA1216 shotgun, RPG, charge & slam
Light: XP-54, V9S, stun gun
The SA1216 is too much fun not to use as well
Charge and slam is not meta. Itās arguably the worst specialization for heavy
charge and slam is really good idk what youre saying, it has so much value for a low cooldown
I agree, but everyone uses it. Iāve heard people say that goo gum and shield are bad too. I personally prefer shieldāitās all down to preference
you can stop steals just from the cooldown, the aoe from the jump slam is insanely good, you can counter mesh shields, direct hits do a ton of dmg
Mesh is by far the best and between goo gun and charge Iād take goo gun.

goo gun is underrated I agree but charge and slam is definitely not bad
from a movement/entry standpoint alone it has insane value, and if you run RPG and c4 you have 3 pseudo one shot abilities
Charge rarely has a use in a gunfight and not being able to support the team is a huge con vs mesh especially.
Charge is just so much fun itās hard to care about not being useful- thatās what the dome shield is for
idk what gun fights you are taking where you cant utilize charge
Any where youāre not within 20ft of enemies on the same ground level
you just dont have to be on the same level as your enemy
and you can proc it while youre taking a jump pad
Charge can be used to tunnel down to the floor beneath you for a bait/quick escape, finish off a low health enemy, melt a light, knock an enemy off the cashout, just general silliness
If it was that good itād be run consistently at high ranks. People only run mesh because having an overtuned shield is broken with a coordinated team.
