Bernal rocks. It feels very grounded but at the same time I feel it’s very well structured. I like how a lot of it is very level with not a ton of high vantage points. Sure, there’s high ground, but not nearly as much as maps like Kyoto or Seoul. In Bernal a lot of the fighting stays inside, on the streets, or in alleys and that can be a nice change of pace. The suspended structures specifically in Bernal are some of my favorites, very localized and distinct

I said that it's POSSIBLE that it could be bad, not it is probably going to be bad. Because if we also look at the maps people have liked Monaco, Bernal is a stretch, and Las Vegas. Las Vegas needs a heavy rework, the area they chose of Las Vegas is kinda boring, compared to all the BETTER options from Vegas. The cosmopolitan, Fashion Show Mall, The Luxor, Mandalay Bay, I live in Vegas, and of all the places they chose to have a fight, they chose Fremont Street, the most boring area to see a fight. That place is only interesting to tourists, give us some better places. I need to get photos from in person, but all of these places would be much better locations for the map instead of Fremont Street.

I wonder how jump pads on boats would work though.

Imagine boats driving around an island section of Miami (Fisher Island). There are jump pads on the boat, as well as jump pads on the land masses.

The risk would be that you could fall into the water and die.
The reward would be that you could get around the map faster.
If your team mates not as good as traversal and timing the jump onto/off the boat that's bad for the team. (Maybe an opportunity for a good laugh?)

Anyways, an awesome cruise ship with some destructible elements on it? Maybe an objective or two?

Fun Fact: Fisher Island is named "The Most Expensive area code in the world" lots of rich folk live there. I needed to have a boat come to carry the car over onto the island when I was working at a company.

I havent seen Bernal in awhile. I havent played Fortune Stadium, the new map from last sesaon, once. Meanwhile, non-stop Kyoto for some reason. embark has a hard on for the most shit map in the game

I think Vegas is fine as it is, while yes it could be a bit unbalanced at times, it is mainly skill-based, take the hotel connecting the overpass, let's say there are two teams, one on the overpass, and one on the ground, and you are in that room just below the roof. You could get teamwiped by the team on top, but you get through with team work, the team on the bottom usually has the jump on you, however if you hear them, you can prepare accordingly. Meanwhile unbalanced maps that provoke and allow sniping a.k.a Kyoto, you can survive the sniping team but sometimes given the circumstances, you can't do that, in Vegas you can always do that

I personally like Kyoto, but that is just coz I like the vertical map design it is very neato

Sys horizon isn’t a bad map. I actually think it’s one of the best maps that embark has cooked up, it has long, medium, and short range and it is all blended together nicely. Just because you get lobbies with lights doesn’t mean it’s a bad map, it’s just the unfortunate matchmaking you are getting

We’ve been doing this for 2+ months now. I don’t think this is just “a few days” and we also have a lot of people who agree. The map might not come in season six but if we have enough support and embark sees this, which they already have, they’ll probably make this a map in the future. Also there’s a lot of cool skins and weapon wraps (and weapons/ gadgets too) that can come this season, so it’s not pointless

And the devs have until probably march until the release of season 6 to work on it if they haven’t already, or at least start brainstorming ideas for a future season

New map idea: Seaside carnival. American style. Horror attraction full of unexpected traps and shit. If ferris wheel is destroyed, it will roll all the way on the map until it reached and fall at the entrance. Anyone who gets in the way will be squashed. Roller coasters can be ride by players for long range advantage point. Roller coaster rides can be shut down by 2 players at the control panel. If a player on a coaster got stopped in the middle of a loop, he will fall to his death. House of mirrors will have the best advantage to hide from players but it has some turrets (npc). Circus is filled with parkour obstacles for very nice maneuverability. Horse carousel can be riden by a player to reveal a cashout terminal. Popcorn stands will heal a small amount of players health.

This does sound like a good idea on paper, but it won’t end up well. The worst parts about Kyoto were the water and the forest sections which were some of the main parts of your plan. The whole point of the finals is the destructible environments, and if you place everything apart with no floors, it’ll just be like every other shooter on the market. I’m not telling you to stop, but if you could give an alternate idea I may support it.

I get that too. For me I’m great at maps like Monaco, sys, and bernal. I think it’s just what maps you like more, because you might memorize certain parts better and have an advantage. I also think that some maps are generally easier to play than others too
