Once upon a time there was a small Game Studio called Dice.
They were very clever people who could make competitive team based games very fun and assessable.

They loved Megalodons and has many fans.
JackFrags, Neebs Gaming, Level Cap and many others would often promote their skills, and create fun memes in their videos that made the Dice Devs feel very good. They would include the community and listen to their player base.

But one day the King of Dice's world became a dark and evil Monster, or perhaps it always was. The greedy EA sought to control the power of the Megalodon and in tern own the community. However they did not understand that the Megalodon exists because of Dice's love for their community. EA could not replace Dice with another studio so instead they made evil clones. Replacing the creative devs with evil shadows that the community wouldn't realize exited until it was too late. The countdown to 2042 came and the new Dark Dice wrote a love letter that was poisoned to touch.

But there is hope.
The Dice Dev's who survived the massacre in EA's kingdom Embarked on an Adventure. They used their skills and creativity to gain enough power to make first person shooters creative and innovative again. They grew and found more amazingly Devs, their wealth and power not as big as EA but their followers retuned and keep growing.

They let out their war call, and players around the globe joined their Beta, their expectations exeeded. Us gamers once again discovered what a good fps game should be like.

The Beta ended but the played still thrusted for blood, awaiting Embarks call to battle once more so that we may play a quality game again.
A game that will set the bar for Shooters once more.

Meanwhile I'm using a sword, a D-tier weapon apparently, still getting a decent number of kills in ranked. But yeah, not like high up there, shamefully just a silver by the end of beta.

Sword is nice because your lunge ability can throw people off guard and make them miss shots, but it's only really good in 1v1 against someone who is suprised, so idk if I should agree or disagree with the ranking there. I also play with 220-250ms of latency due to my geographical position to the closest servers, so playing with a major disadvantage with ranged weapons, so the sword and other melee weapons are about the only weapon I can use "fairly".
