I might have given away our strategy before, sorry
hahaha
Wild theory: What if this is meant to be read as "bag and egg", which kind of sounds like "bagatelle", which is "a short piece of music, typically for the piano, and usually of a light, mellow character" ๐ค
Bagatelle No. 25 is Fur Elise... ๐ค
I know. I just found it weird Rob saying "...candies in the bag", thinking it might have been a clue. And I was trying to connect Beethoven to the first image, so...
bagatell in swedish means "no big deal" / "small and simple"
I'm trying to find a connection from the first image to Beethoven/Sonata 25, so far that wild theory is the only thing I have ๐
That HAS to be the final link we are missing to solve this
When did he say this?
Oh
Hi there.!
Looks like OSPUZE had some extra candy in the bag.!!!
Yeah, there
So itโs a candy bag?
Yeah, that's probably it. But I'm trying to find connections to the first image ๐
โkind of mentioned the actual passwordโ ๐
Yeah, I just want someone here to figure out the answer so I can see what Rob means by "kind of" ๐

Welcome, may Rob guide you
๐ฏ๏ธ SR ๐ฏ๏ธ
By the way, if somebody ever asks: The fourth generation Hyundai Sonata curb weight starts at 1315 kg ... don't ask how I know that... ._.
Yeah, I also found this ๐
hahhahahaah
7 and 9 โฆ 79 A.D movie?
Hmmmmm you are right, I forgot about that! Could be!
Ignazio Dolce was in that one ๐
I do feel this is when the password was kind of mentioned #easter-eggs message
Evening
79ad has been tested quite some time I believe ๐
Who was the actor? Were they one of the ten gladiators?
The rivets on the pouch used to be 11 and 6, now they are 7 and 9. Changed like the 32 to 34 on the mac-10 to give us a clue.
So... I just realised... Sharona -> Monk. Monk -> Priest. Prayer beads? ๐ค
Looks like another C hangin out back there
whats the sharona code
m-m-m-m-myyyy sharona

Hope the exam was ๐๐ผ
Oh that was yesterday #easter-eggs message
Iโve been back and forth in the channel too much
23 hours passed just like that
So I was wondering what might be in those bags behind the M60
Looked up Concrete
There's a Swedish band called The Concretes
They have two compilations called:
Boyoubetterunow
and
Layourbattleaxedown
Kind of like the way Rob and Dusty were talking before
You think concrete like to repair all the destruction in the game?
So they have a concrete sponsor lol
SR, do you like that famous song my The Knack...? @proud minnow ๐
just a random question ๐
a mini-AMA
I was going for a walk... but now I have to listen to the song ๐
now you can walk and vibe
More flour for all the spaghetti Iโve watched?
Iโm halfway through A Few Dollars More with The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly to go, then Iโll probably watch Yojimbo. Quite enjoying being sent on this movie journey.
Same, I've just been watching random westerns that have nothing to do with the hunt because they've invaded my recommended feed ๐
The Fistful of Dollars trilogy is really good.
Iโve actually bought it now to watch it again some time
Lee Van Cleef is in a lot of westerns
I want to make a video inspired by it once we have gameplay I can use
Yeah, heโs in A Few Dollars More
With Eastwood
A great combo
Should we treat Holtow in the background as a clue?
I mean, why not?
You saw this?
#easter-eggs message
You could try looking at what time in the trailer it was mentioned, or which number of sponsor it was
No! Gotta go, back in a couple of hours
When I see Lee Van Cleef it reminds me of the code name they used for a character of Enfys Nest gang in Solo Starwars. They always codenames. That movie was heavily inspired by spaghetti westerns.
Can someone send me the link to the passcode area? Like where we enter the passcode
Itโs pinned
So...I've been thinking during the walk about this... the Beethoven clues pointed us to the "Presto alla tedesca" part of the song... and that means something like "fast in german style" (or something like that), I Googled and it refers to a German waltz... and waltz, apart from being a dance, is also a last name... could that be a connection to Kommissar X/FKramer/Spaghetti westerns? Some actor with that last name? Christoph Waltz comes to mind... and he worked on Django ๐ค
I like the way you think
He plays King Schultz in Django Unchained. Schultz is a German surname derived from Schultheiร, meaning village headman or constable/sheriff in the medieval sense (akin to today's office of mayor).
Also, on a completely different tangent. He (as a bounty hunter) masquerades as a dentist in that movie. Teeth could be considered โWeaponsโ for pasta.
Neither teeth or Schultz is the password
Klaus Kinsky was another German actor in spaghetti westerns.
Phi
yeah it's alt code for the number 9

Saint Rob, thank you for the guidance... ._.

ooh did you get the pasword?
yep, but I'm actually not sure if I can share it. I had to send an email
oh wys that
it is like 4am in Sweden so maybe not
im glad ๐ all this hardwork from everyone
and we (apart from serp) still dunno the password bahaha
firefox lessgo
im surprised u dont have any bookmarks
@proud minnow @cedar owl Am I allowed to share the password?
did you get it in a way which might not be legal?
no
sussy
haha i know you wouldnt do it like that but im curious how else you got it where you are confused if u can share or not
I'm confused because last time I didn't have to click a button to verify the password and send an email ๐
๐
oh verifying password button makes u send an email?
Yeah
I honestly don't know what to do ๐
This is the email that they automatically write when you click the button
I'm guessing it's so people can't brute force the password
I was here too
niiiiiiiiice
i see what u mean
Yeah, right? it looks weird
u know whats weirder
i actually just took that screenshot from ur image
im trolling
i didnt get it
lmfao
OH ๐
Wait sooo now what?
In the meantime you guys can add the "SR |" in the name so Saint Rob, Patron Saint of Easter Egg hunters and Lost Time, guides you
๐๐ป
Did we get a clue for the next level?
We wait until Dusty or Rob wake up lol
No, it was just that NamaTama image I posted earlier
Ahhh ok
ima give them a quick call
Hunters to Embark. We need guidance urgently
I sent a pm to Rob just in case with the password and an explanation on how I arrived to it, so he can check
Can't wait for the password to just be robiscool
@slender lodge @neon stream I'm looking for a way to mark the padlet down with the right pathway any suggestions?
one distinct color that contrasts the other
that goes down the right pathway?
like green
The only color we aren't using is Black, and also Purple.
Black and Purple are not being used right now. That and using the arrows with names should work
Yeah, that

duh hiding his own easter egg in the padlet hahah
It begins again
Whatever, I guess they would have said if we can't share the password
The password is lxxix

What
how'd you get to that loll
it's 79
Beethoven -> Sonata 25 -> opus 79
Frank Kramer -> Gianfranco Parolini -> one of the films in 1962 -> 79 AD
All those 7s and 9s in the images -> 79
AD 79 = LXXIX
OHHHHHHH My Sharona is from 1979!!!!
so.. we donโt have a new image untill they activate it??
Yeah, not sure how that works now
I just realised that ๐
I thought it was from the 80s ๐
I guess now I understand why SR didn't answer that question ๐
79AD lmaoo we knew it here
I never would had tried it in Roman numerals if it weren't for the Wikipedia page of AD 79 ๐ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AD_79
AD 79 (LXXIX) was a common year starting on Friday (link will display the full calendar) of the Julian calendar. At the time, it was known as the Year of the Consulship of Titus and Vespasianus (or, less frequently, year 832 Ab urbe condita). The denomination AD 79 for this year has been used since the early medieval period, when the Anno Domini...
I guess numbers can be lowercase after all ๐
XDD
ohhhhh wow
so there were multiple clues leading to the same thing
and we got so confused trying to find connections between them
thats awesome! @neon stream congratulations on finding the password ๐ โค๏ธโ๐ฅ
Thanks! But it was a team effort! ๐ช๐ป And also Saint Rob working in mysterious ways... ._.
Whatโs happening? Did someone get it??
I see someone did. Well done @neon stream
You are fast becoming a grandmaster at this
lklmooaoo
Thanks! ๐
It would have been next to impossible to guess that from the first image
It's the guidance from SR ๐
Yeah, unless there was something we missed that pointed us to that particular movie, but otherwise...
Which movie?
79 AD
Oh, yes, true
At first I thought the password related to the eruption of Mount Vesuvius ๐
I still wish the Dante path would have been correct ๐ญ
i literally became religious for that
With all the Akira Kurosawa clues, I was sure it was related to him. But I think that was actually just pointing us to Beethoven, not the other way around.
Yeah, it's so difficult to tell when you are on the right path ๐
I guess they were tryna disguise B as 8 and A as 4
they even look the same
That Yakuza A and Sharona combo clue is next level
hahahah ikkr ๐
The crazy thing on how this things are built is that, once you see the password, you know it is the one before you even hit enter ๐
I wouldnโt know.
well but because of all of this, now we know better how to search
we also know that the first image itself can lead to the answer
i used to think we just wait for more images lmao
You'll get a future one and you'll remember this, trust me ๐
Yes, but in this case that would have been blind luck almost
Well, just trying every movie title (and guessing Roman numerals)
Same. I think we learned many things in this hunt that will help in the future
yeah nothign led to roman numerals i think so that woulda been a bit blind luck for sure
cuz im sure someone tried '79' or 'AD79' back then lmao
yessss
this one took like 18 days hah
tier 1a took 4 i think
I guess NamaTama dressed as a Legionary was meant to do that. It didn't help ๐
Only 7 levels to goโฆ
Of the many eruptions of Mount Vesuvius, a major stratovolcano in southern Italy, the most well-known is its eruption in 79 AD, which was one of the deadliest in European history. Oh for fuck sake how did I not rememeber that
I was seeing if there's a connection between 79 and 1064, to see if my theory held. I couldn't find one ๐
i woulda never guessed hahahha
It would've made a bit more sense that it was hinting at date and not a object or anything
Iโm so relieved this one is over, but am actually looking forward to the next one. This was good training.
Duh is asleep. Imagine if we get the next art soon and solve it quickly - how much would that mess with his head hahahahaha
Poor Duh ๐
no like what does it mean tho lol
seventy nine?
relevance wise
Hahaha
That's why I was trying to link it with 1064
๐
I think we'll need 1064, 79 and ___ for tier 2ABC
It means โno more painโ in Rob-speak
hahaah
looks like 1C might be another number
Why do you say that?
1A and 1B both being numbers, albeit in different systems
Maybe the next one will be a time?
1c is gonna be numbers in letters
"threehundredandfourtythousanddecimalpointthreetwosixnine"
hahahah
"eightsixsevenfivethreeonine"
BAHHAHA how do we write that tho
can only write password on phone ๐
or by using this
:point_up::fist::v::raised_hand:

You know what would be really funny? If they next art Rob gives us actually has no EEs in it. Imagine how much we would work on that to find something hahaha
id cri
art department is probs exhausted making 10 clue images for us bc we couldnt find the password lmao
so for the next tier, Rob will rely on stock images (unlicensed)
Woo hoo! nice work SR and team! ๐
I am very much feeling torment of the mind.
I knew it had to do with the sword and sandal movied of F Kramer, it was the only thing that made senseโฆ ๐
But why would we look for the code in roman numerals?
And also, roman years are always uppercase? Are they not?
Enough ango!
Time to move on
this tier really left me angebatur
@neon stream once again swoops in with mega brain to find the passwords that been solved days (weeks) ago but no one knew
Have we made any progress on 1c?
Yes
It was 79AD but in roman numeral

Not sure, still on my phone. Just woke up and took my dog for a walk
No new image yet
Thanks for confirming Dwarf
It led to a button which prompted you to send an email to verify the clue
Might have been because someone mentioned that they bruteforced every number combination between 0 and 1 mil
Good morning and congrats all!
goodmorning:D
So my hunch was right, giriko โkindaโ mentioned the actual password!
SR guided us! ๐
Yeah, thatโs probably why rob tagged me. I just thought it was about the password/passcode conversation I had with him ๐
Btw, the "verify clue" button creates an email to send to "namatama@embark-studio.com"
Ok Iโm going to do a round up in the doc. 79ad was in 1962 so thatโs cleared up. Iโm guessing the X was the only clue for Roman numerals
But their domain is embark-studios.com so I emailed namatama@embark-studios.com as well
Oh good idea
Dusty saw though so should be ok
I like it this way, stops it just being brute forced gives us a break between
I think I could use a day haha
Yeah, it's good for our mental health with a pause that we can't push. Just like when we solved Geocaching
I have a wild theory. The very first Easter egg (Geocache) related to finding treasure, which you have to do in the game. Tier 1A related to asteroids, which occur in the game as a meteor shower. Tier 1B related to a year where a major volcanic eruption occurs. Now we havenโt seen that in game, but perhaps the Easter Eggs are telling us that it might?
Hmm maybe a map could be near a volcano yes!
Sounds plausible ๐ค
Naples could be a map. Thatโs right next to Vesuvius.
Unless each tier is related to the special destruction event
The fireballs from a volcano eruption could be like meteors
Yes, exactly. Or it could be both - an indicator of events and maps. 9 Tiers right? 9 maps would be a solid number at releaseโฆ
Maybe just something to keep in the back of our minds while solving these.
Well Congrats guys :3
For sure
we live, this image is only 1000x562 ๐ค

Luna 3, or E-2A No.1 (Russian: ะัะฝะฐ 3) was a Soviet spacecraft launched in 1959 as part of the Luna programme. It was the first mission to photograph the far side of the Moon and the third Soviet space probe to be sent to the neighborhood of the Moon. Though it returned rather poor pictures, the historic, never-before-seen views of the far side ...

my short summery for the answer;
Tier 1B - lxxix
The password for tier 1b was โ lxxix โwhich is lowercase LXXIX - Roman numerals for the date AD 79. The main clues were the movie " 79 A.D. " which was released in 1962 and directed by Frank Kramer; searching for this date shows it in Roman numerals. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AD_79.
why is this easter egg so hard?
I go out for one night and these mfs solve the tier?
Do we need enhancing on some clues? Lemme know
Yeah, I noticed that too and emailed both ๐
No, he said it was a mistake, it should be fixed now

๐ 80 clues.. jesus.. they wanted to make sure you guys figured it out. Curious what the end will be
80 clues and we found probably 70, just couldnt get it over the line
๐ค judging by the current ending of each level. I think we will get the full list of sponsors??? or a bunch of cosmetic concept art
Things to note;
The Luna 3 mission was to photograph the far side of the moon.
An "Atlas of the Far Side of the Moon" was created in 1960 published by Akademiรซiรฌa Nauk Sssr.; Barabashov, N. P. (nikolaรฆi Pavlovich).
Launch was on a rocket called Luna 8K72 which took place 4 October 1959.
The camera took 29 pictures over 40 minutes on 7 October 1959.
The temperature-resistant and radiation-hardened film used was recovered from US spy balloons from Project Genetrix.
"The Dark Side of the Moon" is a 1973 album by Pink Floyd.
You are like a thesaurus
haha no just read some wikis
Just a wild idea, because we have nothing that connects this to Jupiter. But the Luna 3 made me think of the moons of Jupiter for some reason (which there are 80, the number Rob said), and that the four major ones are called the Galilean moons (because they were discovered by Galileo). The moons are: Io (Jupiter I), Europa (Jupiter II), Ganymede (Jupiter III), and Callisto (Jupiter IV). Maybe it relates to Ganymede in some way? ๐ค
But we don't have a connection to Jupiter, so it doesn't really fit
The Galilean moons (), or Galilean satellites, are the four largest moons of Jupiter: Io, Europa, Ganymede, and Callisto. They were first seen by Galileo Galilei in December 1609 or January 1610, and recognized by him as satellites of Jupiter in March 1610. They were the first objects found to orbit a planet other than the Earth.
They are among ...

Looking up cold war era Russian rocket tech.
that was some insane clue management
I think the lesson learned from t-1b is that the simplest solution is the correct one. Do not make unnecessary assumptions or stray away from the topic
The sword and sandals movies tied together nicely with everything we had previously solved (italy, greek gods and more) whereas the Spaghetti westerns were just willed into being from relying to heavily on OSPUZE being from Argentina and the potential flour bag.
Iseul-t is a korean company, or at least their CEO has a korean name, but we should still keep ourselves in the previously explored areas (minus spaghetti westerns) and not dig deep into korean folklore
i'm assuming the new image has been devoured already
ye
Of everything Iโve seen so far, this reminds me of somethingโฆ
#easter-eggs message started to post all the findings here. I think everything has been moved over to the padlet already https://padlet.com/JusticeCharity/vdxdc9hmjexfjsa7
Have gone through the image with stegonline, fotoforensic and forensically and haven't found anything hidden to the eye.
This is how it looks on 133%
Hmmm ๐ค The logo on this shoe is backwards
It reminded me of this
ufos?
Could be unrelated, Nike has some shoes that have the inverted swoosh
I missed this! I guess that makes Saint Rob (SR) official now that Dusty recognises him ๐
In Greek mythology, Nike ( (listen); Ancient Greek: ฮฮฏฮบฮท, lit.โ'victory', ancient: [nวห.kษห], modern: [หni.ci]) was a goddess who personified victory in any field including art, music, war, and athletics. She is often portrayed in Greek art as Winged Victory in the motion of flight; however, she can also appear without wings as "Wingless Victory...

Amazing catch if it turns out to be intended haha! At least the wiki page mentions the Galileo spacecraft
I think itโs good to throw first impressions out there and see what sticks
The blanket looks like an image from an interplanetary mission - line by line style image.
Yeah, like I said, just throwing first impressions out there. It could be totally wrong.
Help me out, since I'm colorblind, the colored part of this t is not the same color as the rest of the image
The Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer (JUICE) is an interplanetary spacecraft in development by the European Space Agency (ESA) with Airbus Defence and Space as the main contractor. The mission will study three of Jupiter's Galilean moons: Ganymede, Callisto, and Europa (excluding the volcanically active Io; Io is not an icy moon) all of which are thou...
It would connect to what I said earlier
it could be that the shoes share the same texture and the model is mirrored and so is the texture
The only place where the logo is red instead of pink, to my knowledge, is on the little button on reachthefinals.com leading you to the iseul-t page
seems like a good guess. Or as someone else said, nike sometimes has mirrored logo on the left shoe as well.
the bullet primer were already discussed right?
cool
but if you can reveal more please do
i just wanna know why there's a weird shadow here haha
I can't see anything, I'm afraid @prisma stump
Did anyone try to do a difference between the OSPUZE and the iseul-t images? they are quite similar ๐ค
Like you photoshop wizards did to get the griffin
What flex said
They are different resolutions, but they are only similar, not the same
hmmmm ok, at least we know it leads nowhere ๐
Thanks!
No worries โบ๏ธ
did a higher res get added to the gdrive?
no activity there since the 8th of oct
either way, the 2s are copied
Higher contrast if you want
The Pink Triangle symbol has a mixed history: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pink_triangle
A pink triangle has been a symbol for the LGBTQ+ community, initially intended as a badge of shame, but later reclaimed as a positive symbol of self-identity and love for queerness. In Nazi Germany in the 1930s and 1940s, it began as one of the Nazi concentration camp badges, distinguishing those imprisoned because they had been identified by au...
different shape though, equilateral not right angle like the main logo and all the others
The barrel looks like a fairly early colour astronomy photo.
the triangle on the little bag/pouch is equilateral, is it not? The triangle in the logo is the one that follows pythagoras theorem
yes exactly, its different
Oh, i see that you were responding to darnoux and not rhb now
I believe that the bottom rifle is the most interesting one, and not the barrel on the LMG (as we already got Luna 3 from it)
we got A, BC, potentially 460 and then the Xx on the mag
The blanket reminds me a little of this image: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pale_Blue_Dot
Pale Blue Dot is a photograph of planet Earth taken on February 14, 1990, by the Voyager 1 space probe from a record distance of about 6 billion kilometers (3.7 billion miles, 40.5 AU), as part of that day's Family Portrait series of images of the Solar System.
In the photograph, Earth's apparent size is less than a pixel; the planet appears as ...

I think they look like future/hypermodern "functional" clothing items
this part *E-2A No1 (Luna 3 codename) * is also on the white patch
labeled a LMG stock in Swa's post
yea thats there I just added the part in ()
I was just basing it off of all the cyrillic and the fact that Luna 3 is a Soviet space probe haha
its all spacesuit themed
the LMG white label is like a wrist band, the pouch is all padded, its on heavy material, clips and buckles space suit like
I just assumed it was jeans because of the fashion sponsor but maybe it's actually kevlar or another type of aramid fabric, which is used in spacesuits
It wasn't explicitly said, but that's what sent me into the moons of Jupiter direction. I guess I should have mention that luna=moon ๐
Yeah, sorry. Just as a random fact, the sun is also named after a god (Sol) ๐
sol is sun in swedish as well

yep ๐
i checked it earlier but didn't post 'cuz assumed it had been discussed
it may have
Just continuing on the space-based path (which could be wrong), but a rotating object (like an asteroid or satellite) will leave โmarksโ like that on a long exposure photograph, as it moves through the photo, if parts of it are not reflective.
My guess is that itโs unreadable digits that might be visible on the ingame skin but without any deeper meaning
I think it's just light reflecting off of it
For the record I don't think the art department is struggling over this. For the most part it seems like it's just concept renders or just straight concept art that's been altered to have some EEs in them.
Obviously I might be wrong and these are being custom made but either they've already made most of them, or Rob and some concept artists that have already done most of the concept art for the game are working together so it gives them something to do until post launch.
I think the colours background ones for sure, the Extra ones could have been new to hide more clues in
Luckily I don't think it would take more than a couple days to throw together a new Nama Tama clue.
It helps if you have the model in house already
A fun little coincidence(?), the diameter of Mare Ingenii is 282 km https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mare_Ingenii
Mare Ingenii is one of the few lunar mare features on the far side of the Moon. Most exists on the visible side.
- Luna 3 was the first mission to photograph the far side of the moon
Mare Ingenii means "Sea of Cleverness" which seems pretty fitting for our little group of deteggtives
Luna 3 mission to photograph the far side of the moon - The Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd
Itโs because they were believed to be seas until they could examine them better and it was discovered that it was sub-surface lava
Yeah
That is a good one ๐ค๐

Papa!
I like the Pink Floyd idea. Hereโs where the name comes from: The name is derived from the given names of two blues musicians whose Piedmont blues records Barrett had in his collection, Pink Anderson and Floyd Council.

Iโm too old to understand that emoji ๐ ๐ซ
the character's name is loid
thats all ๐
and he's... pink

shhh you didn't see that
I saw it ๐ (or did I? ๐ค)
shhhh no, you didn't ๐คซ
btw, that's an album to listen from beginning to end without interruptions. It's kind of like an experience rather than a bunch of songs combined into a disc ๐
can any image analyser gurus check the bullet primers again please #easter-eggs message
From those images it looks like maybe we should count the non primed ones, seeing as thereโs a 1 to start those off (ASSUMING ITโS A YEAR)
1-5-1-3?
yeah between the 5 and 1 im not sure
Iโm on phone so canโt check until tonight
okee
reminiscing to 1315
was just thinking about the 282 and found this
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USA-282
good night, see you on the far side
Wait we solved it?
t1b solved yep
79 AD right
We are on t1c
okay imma need a lil breakdown of the first 1B
cause how were we supposed to get numerals from just the first image
X on the badge is my guess
hes my shortcut version;
The password for tier 1b was โ lxxix โwhich is lowercase LXXIX - Roman numerals for the date AD 79. The main clues were the movie โ 79 A.D. โ which was released in 1962 and directed by Frank Kramer; searching for this date shows it in Roman numerals. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AD_79.
FKRAMER = Frank Kramer
mmissar X = Kommissar X (Directed by Frank Kramer)
Flour + Egg = Spaghetti Western (FK reference)
Bullet Primer Dots = 1962 (Date movie 79 A.D. was released)
X on Badge = Roman numeral for 10
primers on the bullets
I know you can't see it but I'm facepalming right now
i tried anno79 / 79ad etc etc
the doc is fully up to date and has all the probable clue meanings on there for every artwork
having a look
also, I absolutely love that we were bickering over whether it was a word or numbers
when it was both ๐ญ ๐ญ ๐ญ
the answer yeah
"since you kind of mentioned the actual password (or is it a passcode .?!)"
wait a damn minute
is that what he meant?
ha maybe, and it was to giriko that mentioned 79 A.D in chat first
in hindsight, it was probably intentional
also in hindsight, Rob was right about how simple it was ๐ฅน
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that 1C will also be a year..?
have we seen this
we've pretty much seen everything on the new image ye
yeah scroll down in the doc and check the padlet too
all observations are in the pinned full res image message
guys i think Akira Kurosawa leads to something here
there are so many clues in the 'Candy' series of images
I'm wondering if they'll help
this triangle is purposely equilateral for sure
The Dark Side of the Moon - Pink Floyd
yep
thats as far as weve got
@sharp flame did you think that too or see it in the padlet or message further above?
saw it in the padlet too
didn't know if the name of the band had come up
ok cool, ill take that as we are going the right direction if you thought of it too
Yeah, this seems like the right direction
thinking about this again it was probably this - X on Badge = Roman numeral for 10 (โThe 10 Gladiatorsโ directed by Frank Kramer)
that's a very solid idea
now we just have to clear up the other 3 images
i actually mentioned this ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ
I think I already did in the doc
but time to move on now
yeah its so weird
its like a resume button
youtube play button
ye lmao
no its E-2A No.1
just saying what I see
yeah no worries
on second look, yeah it's No.1
keep going
better to have a range of interpretations ig
for sure
it does look odd
so blurry yeah hard to know
that really looks like . . _ .
which is 'F' in morse
and back to the 2A No.1
could that be referring to a previous tier/stage?
its in the pin - LMG stock white label: E-2A No.1 (Luna 3 codename)
ah
np
yep just my eyes
I think the 'dark side of the moon' connection is pretty strong
since there are 2 references to Luna 3, which is made to capture exactly that
and also the triangle symbol which is notorious for the album named the very same
yes like the other tier 2 clues reaffirming each other (fkramer and ommissar X)
thats on the smg right? kinda just looked like scratches
I bet those laces are something specific. I thought maybe detonation cord, but couldnโt find anything that matches. Maybe some sort of specific wire?
they seem to be laces for decoration/as an accessory
(since they have aglets)
love using that word
unless its part of the actual skin im not sure if they would add it for a clue, 3d geometry is a bit different than adding hidden codes but who knows at this point
what about the Aethusa plant that was growing in Take Cover
it was photoshopped (i could be wrong about that)
you can emboss in photoshop too but they could edit the actual textures i guess
The question is, is this a pointer to the Moon (or other space stuff), Pink Floyd, the albumโs subject matters (e.g. mental health, the human condition), or something else?
I think the other clues would circle round to at least one of these (to know for sure)
I assume Pink Floyd is the one we can look at now, because they have multiple pieces of work under their name (similar to FKramer)
Interestingly, following on from 79 AD and the Vesuvius eruption, Iโve heard Roger Waters describe the album as โa creative eruptionโ in an interview.
I think it's weird that Luna 3 is mentioned 2 times in separate namings in the image
has that happened with any other clue?
yes, Aethusa on the plinth and Ae thu sa in pieces (in greek ofc)
weren't they both in Greek?
yes, so not separate namings though
I am wondering if we are looking for something specific on the far side of the moon
There's a lot of named sites, but I think we may need to wait for more clues to reference to
Hey im new here, was looking to get involved, have read through the google document, and looked through the padlet, decided to see if their was a anything to do with candy in space, and I found this https://www.smithsonianmag.com/science-nature/rich-and-flavorful-history-chocolate-space-180954160/ apparently the first person to eat candy in space was a Russian cosmonaut, Yuri Gagarin (also the first human in outer space), which links to the other russian space things you guys have found. No idea if this is the the type of direction that the easter eggs have been going in so far, but thought id post it anyway.
im sure someone already said this but the statue of apollo was built in 460 bc
which i guess points to the moon more
c
C out of what?
i think its called t1-c, here is the doc with everything so far, https://docs.google.com/document/d/1CLzGtj2w2elVkqEdPV6NgqRiszNAxnwIANXHK-Pa1Bk/edit, and here is the padlet https://padlet.com/JusticeCharity/vdxdc9hmjexfjsa7
Apollo is also a giant crater on the dark side of the moon. And Apollo 8 mission was the first crewed spacecraft to observe the far side ๐ค
hm
Welcome! We need all the help we can get ๐
glad to be here, I remember when overwatch had an arg back in like 2016 for sombra, and that was a lot of fun, so when I saw that there was one for this game, I wanted to try and get involved, hopefully i can add something before the end ๐
Based on how fast weโre going so far, my grandkids might contribute
We need to convince Rob to write an autobiography, buy it, read it multiple times, understand how he thinks, and then solve every remaining Easter Egg in seconds
... ._.
The trick of course is that in order to read his autobiography you need to find the encryption key to the enigma machine that is geocached on the dark side of the moon
Pink Floyd: Discovery is a compilation CD box set by Pink Floyd released on 26 September 2011 to launch the Why Pink Floyd...? re-release campaign. The box set includes all of their standard studio albums, except for The Endless River, which would not be released for another three years. All albums were newly remastered by James Guthrie and Joel...
It seems something related to the moon/Apollo is our current lead. If we are trying to relate to previous clues, Aethusa and Apollo did have a son https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eleuther
Actually three times: the fools parsley was also aethusa
I think we need to find how this ties back into the overall theme of the EEs as a whole. (I mentioned that in my first comment about 79ad as a reason why I thought the sword and sandals movies were more plausible than spaghetti westerns)
So the question is how can we tie cyrillic, moon/dark side and pfloyd (potentially) to Greek Gods/Galileo/Italy
selene is the greek personification of the moon
Yep, was just reading that put wasnโt at a computer to piece it all together nicely.
I remember that I saw something about SELENE yesterday while reading about the spacecrafts as well. So it caught my eye
Seems like itโs up to date
Thereโs a lunar orbiter spacecraft (just like Luna3) called SELENE.
Itโs from Japan tho, and many many years after Luna. Not sure how relevant it is
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/SELENE
SELENE (; Selenological and Engineering Explorer), better known in Japan by its nickname Kaguya (ใใใ), was the second Japanese lunar orbiter spacecraft following the Hiten probe. Produced by the Institute of Space and Astronautical Science (ISAS) and the National Space Development Agency (NASDA), the spacecraft was launched on September 14, 2007...
Thereโs also minor planet orbiting the sun called 580 Selene (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/580_Selene)
Selene (minor planet designation: 580 Selene) is a minor planet orbiting the Sun in the asteroid belt. The name Selene is that of an ancient Greek goddess of the Moon. The name may have been inspired by the asteroid's provisional designation 1905 SE.
This body orbits the Sun nearly midway between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter. The orbital eccen...

to the right of the lower shoe does anyone else see the numbers 335? id upload an image but i dont think i have permissions.
congrats on finishing 1b!

Have you painted on the numbers, or above them? @boreal trench
above the red numbers
Oh yeah, I see somthing now
looking more, if you ignore the first 3, i now see 358 with a 8 right the of the 5... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.358_Winchester
I believe it's 3 8 as well
yeah 3 8
There is a distinct lack of lines to close the 3 into an 8 in the top left part
From ritka - "i also think i can see numbers in the negative space here under the shoe, i wanna say its like 22*3535"
Unsure, cant zoom well on my work mac.
i only see 5 and 3 there
But it seems a bit too much, the clues so far haven't been that hard to find. Especially since this is a 2880x1620 image, if it isn't more or less visible it might just be artefacts
I'll say it again. Utilize Occam's razor. The simpelest solution, with the least assumptions, is probably the correct one.
became violet floyd ๐
lol
Harpalus and Meton of Athens were two astronomers that lived around 460 BC. Neither has a good Wikipedia page, so they might not be linked to this. But the second one is known for the Metonic cycle, which is "a period of almost exactly 19 years after which the lunar phases recur at the same time of the year.", so I'd thought I'd mention it ๐
u guys solved it yet?
definitely some numbers there
resolution is killing us this time around
ye there's numbers there
Itโs one of the highest quality images weโve gotten so far though ๐ค
true, i just mean for this type of clue
Does anyone know how we landed on this:
LMG stock: Bullet strip code = 1-5-1-3 ?
I remember me and Swa talking about the bullets, but I only got it to say ยฌ or รฐS depending on which represents 1 and 0s
That was from me counting the primer marks that had been posted - but this time counting the bullets that did not have primer marks.
back here #easter-eggs message
So the opposite of the weapons image.
just on the vertical strip too right?
Ah, whatever the images were just above that comment you just linked.
I think I started with the horizontal one because that gave a 1 first - ASSUMING a year beginning with a 1 (big assumption)
Did you count them binary, or numbers of bullets before the next mark or?
Number of bullets without a mark, and ignored the primer mark ones.
So treated primer marks as a gap.
oh I see, got it
Was under the assumption binary was involved and couldn't figure out how it came to 1 5 1 3
So the same way as the weapons image but no primer mark vs having one

The horizontal section in this looks a bit like a seismograph drum.
The regular ticks on a seismograph are time marks
But they usually form a vertical series, not angled like the fabric in the image.
Seismometers were also placed on the Moon, if this is a correct โclue-pathโ
