There are chocolate liquor ice candies called "bullets"
Interesting pattern of stars on that logo
So I was playing a game for 7 hours straight what's up
Yes!
14 stars!

Good morning, time to find everything that's already been found and repost it like a dummy! ๐

oh it changed! ๐ฎ
the logo looks like that
The floor looks weird behind the footer
Might just be an effect of the footer though
to me it looks like a small f, e, i capital S small r and then a letter that I'm not sure of (y / g / z) maybe
Morning! That looks good, we didnโt see the second as an e, could beโฆ
i think i cracked it (it was Galileo)
Thank you dusty!!
Thanks Dusty!
hey all!
Hi Fish!!
Good morning
I forgot to post the stills of my gif, will do that later when I have the chance
the second-last letter doesn't dip below the line
that's a scratch I think
Good catch, didnโt really think of that. It still largely resembles a cursive lowercase r
I made the dot over the second last letter a different color because I wasnโt sure wheter it is the background or not
No color is ever distinct to me, so I can't always make stuff like that out
(I'm colorblind ๐
)
I tried enhancing the signature a bit, going against my advice... ๐
I think I might be losing my sanity ๐
It looked similar from memory, but yeah... not when actually looking at it ๐
It does look slightly similar

which was the password
I meant way back in Tier 1
u mean level 1?

we are now on
Lvl 2 Tier 1 Part B
yeah
currently hardstuck on B, and we still have C, D, E and F
of Tier 1
out of 3 or more
lmaooo trueee
out of level 2
out of who knows how many levels
which is most likely not the final level, or the second final level
probs 3

they did say there would still be easter eggs after the game releases
true
so Level 3 might be that
I think Level 2 will last us up to release
if we look at its length
unless we were supposed to have blitzed A-F by now already ๐ญ
i think they overestimated how smart we are
maybe.. or maybe we can do this
11-25
huh, it looks to me like the '11' is joined at the bottom
but that might just be the janky scratchings

I want to think it's a U, because of how closely it resembles one

Mladen Gutesha is the composer
the text on the hat?
So uh, how many got solved so far boys and girls?
Depending on how you count them, I guess. But I'd say 2
Here are more details
So what do you think is going to be revealed at the end of this easter egg?
Rob personally unvealing the Nama Tama Plushie
Dunno, but I think it's gonna be a never-ending EE hunt
When you remember that there will also be in-game EE's
I wonder if there's something we'll find out at the end of T3
Yeah in game EE with certain cosmetics, or a weapon like phantom bow would be cool. I feel like you guys are doing all this complicated EE hunt, and there doesn't seem to be a reward yet.
I think these OSPUZE images arenโt real clues. Embark is just trying to teach us digits and the alphabet ๐คท
But it's all we have right now..
Do you think the password doesn't lie within these clues?
Mr Rob
๐ซ the joke
๐ฆ Swa*
Of course there are clues in there. They are just hard to crack as we havenโt found the common denominator yet
yeyeye
what if it went right over our head again
hahaha theres probs a lot of clues that went over our head
or maybe we said it, explored it and got really close but then ignored it
I kinda wanna reinforce my theory on October 25
Just like how 9/29 (from OSPUZE flipped) was actually the playtest date
I think that the 10/25 logo might mean that something happens on the 25th of this month
new picture xD
The handsome bald man
Moneyrain
from the side its a '10'
from the front its a ...oh its a 52
well flip that and its 25
im a lil
oh wow, i've not seen the 52 before now
looks like intestines
Well, only way to tell
I think the safest bet to solve all of this is to solve what the signature says
signature?
- It's probably a name, either for a person or a place.
- It's probably related to music
- All the numbers can probably be related to it in some way or another
Down in the right corner, just above the footer, there is a signature
I did a gif the other day, but im not sure if i have the letters correct
foisiy
i can try to manipulate the image a bit, but didn't get a good result yesterday when I tried
Nope, the plain unedited version results in a lot of floor patterns and the traced over just shows a bunch of random signatures, non that match
An attempt to make the letters more prominent
well at least we know there's an F, I, S, Y
second letter could be o/a
5th/6th r/ri/
the second letter is an e
last 3 look like Sry
could be that too
f e i S r y
first one has a dot, could be jle'sry
Or J CeโSry or something like that
unles the ' is a . for an i
the last letter is hard, as no cursive letter should look like that, but it's common in handwriting to be a bit sloppy with g, y etc
i think g and y come the closest
unfinished cursive
oh you said its g or y
i gotta get my brain checked
2nd could be r right?
what do you think of the second last letter(s)
i dont think its e
could you trace it out how you're visualizing it
aight just a sec
It really looks like f e i S r (and then something)
reference, this is pretty standard for cursive
ye
Arguably, it could start with a captial J, which would make more sense, but it looks more like an F
hmmmm i see
idk i cant see 2nd being a u but
true
i only think it's an F cuz thats how i write my F's
but if its a name wouldn't it be capital first letter
Yes, but the signature looks very standard
look for western signatures?
i tried all the hollywood western ones and nothing was similar
Posibility: The signature is a scrambled anagram. The only clearly capital letter is S, so maybe that is the first letter of the name.

idk why the game and the EE give me ready player one movie vibes
lol like the easter eggs in it?
yes
put the pedal to the medal or smth lol
xd
First letter has to be a J
Gianfranco Parolini's signature?
cant find name without signature cant find signature without name lol

Regarding the email stuff @prisma stump and @slender lodge : You can just have one gmail account and add +nameofsite after your mail, but before the @. Like this
giriko+spam@gmail.com or giriko+thefinals@gmail.com.
(giriko@gmail.com being the real email and the others is what you sign up with)
This way, itโs easy to see what is spamming you and just filter away all emails incoming to that +variation

Also a great way to find when a company is selling your email. You'll get spam on that +variation

top of the week for you, hunters
im delaying my video of tier 1b until we get the answer because it just doesn't make sense **
Rob really went all out for this tier haha ๐ Three actual images and we havenโt been able to either cement or reject any guesses made from the first image yet ๐
how is the hunt going?
Painfully
its the life we chose
As well as you might expect from an easter egg hunt in October ๐ ๐
The clues and the answer for this tier are in opposite corners on Rob's board ๐
This is where we'll end up after completing this tier. Not to be confused with the Arkham Asylum ๐
We just need to figure out how it all connects to Galileo and Devon ๐
Nice one! ๐

Not again
Yes, they do. Also, we discovered a Spanish candy maker that makes bullet candy, the logo for which looks very much like the gold coins seen in THE FINALS Gamescom teaser.
We should probably investigate that path more
Can the candy be traced to Galileo or Greek gods?
The bullets are placed in the new image in a way that makes them look like ships or submarines scattered through an archipelago. Perhaps something else to look at.
hmmm a date from all the numbers could point to a historic naval battle or mission
Is it me of does this track slightly sound like the music notes https://youtu.be/oE4MW2HNluw?t=161
Ennio Morricone the KING!!!!!
Its by the composer Ennio Morricone
and the sound of the Mule noises is like the weird bass notes
Im italian so for any stuff that need translated ask me for that
You know what happened in 1962 that involved submarines?
Cuban Missile Crisis
Which coincidentally happened in October
I doesnโt really sound like it to me. The melody is like a rolling scale in this, but it doesnโt sound like that in the piece we have. Iโm guessing if the Easter egg were to include a piece of music from westerns that it wouldnโt be from Morricone, it seems a bit too obvious - he is the most well-known composer for westerns.
Oh, interesting. I was reading about the Bay of Pigs invasion the other day when I was looking for 1962 events, but didnโt link anything for that.
Here's the list of ships that were involved in the Blockade
Witek, Sellers, McCaffery, Summers, Leary, Pierce, Steinaker, Dewey, MacDonough, Greene, Gearing, Lawe, and Essex
USS Essex was involved in the Bay of Pigs and the missile crisis.
I guess technically it wasn't over until Nov. 20th
3-week-long playtest confirmed

anyone else have the same issue?

the everyone role overwrites that though?
its ok guys, im not worthy of viewing such images

@cold forum I don't know if you can answer this, but: Do you know if we should be able to solve the Easter Eggs with just the first image that we get, or we'll actually need the other images as well to find the solution?

Hi.!
Yes you CAN solve every EE (and level) with the first image, but, itโs hardโฆ but the answer is there.! For every new image (or dusty text, hehe) we give you it becomes easier, and easier, and easier to solve each levelโฆ BTW you were actually really close already with the first image, I first thought TIER 1B was way too easy since you kind of mentioned the actual password (or is it a passcode @mortal ivy .?!) buuut then for some reason it went southโฆ ._.
I have accepted your use of "password" for digit-only phrases @proud minnow. (But yes, it was a passcode ๐ฅฒ)
Follow up question: Can you solve any level with any given image? Or would OSPUZE_Candy not be able to solve the level without OSPUZE_Weapons? ๐ค
inch RESTing
Short answer is "No, the images released during one level/tier are used to solve that level/tier". However that said, there might be (and often are) clues and hints that potentially can (or will) be very useful (or obvious when you see the full picture in the end (or is it really the end, or perhaps just a new beginning))...
Oh of course not, I see now what I wrote haha. I mean can you solve any level with any of the pictures FOR THE SPECIFIC level.
Sorry ๐
Yes, you can... ._.
Thank you, Saint Rob ๐
._.
again "easier"
Thank you for the answers Rob ;)
Thanks for answering our prayers SR! ... ._.
We should try and speedrun one sub tier ๐ I wonder what we can get as the shortest time haha
Compose yourselves, my friends! We fixed the whole passcode/password snafu for this tier, right Rob? Though our methods may leave people feeling a little "angebatur"...
Thanks for answering about these clues so our beloved deteggtives don't spend another week in the circles of hell!
YesthatisabsolutelycorrectDusty.!Wedonotwanttoconfuseourdeareastereggfriends.!!
no spaces in "passwords"
I'm in class right now so I can't try passwords, but I think the answer is in Dante's 9 Circles of Hell, and that the answer doesn't contain spaces
Jupiter moons
also angebatur is latin xD

Someone try Inferno and other things related to that
no beans
@pure loom it seems you were something on the tracks
"with every image (or dusty text)'
So this one is Def a clue
Yeah,I'm guessing the answer is in latin and relates to Dante's work
Why his work
You can have spaces in passwords

It's probably something with Canto XXV
i did find this, dont know if it has anything to do with anything but the Inferno https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Contrapasso_(Westworld)

I'm not sure if I'm more or less confused now haha! Did some people think we could put spaces in passwords?
I think it's about my question whether a four digit passcode can be called a passWORD or not ๐
But Dusty ended the message with "circles of hell", which you pointed out about the uzi
Oh, I just assumed the password meant letters or numbers
I think we go onto Dante's circles of hell through a Padua Italy clue - ah, maybe part of the university
lemme see again
Is it possible to zoom out in the padlet?
I just said it looked similar to something that Duh posted, but we didn't find any actual connection

https://www1.kramerav.com/product//fc-404net Kramer Fc-404 "4x4 Dante Interface"
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Dante is audio over ethernet
Made by Kramer
i think that must be coincidence that Site being called Kramer AV
Yes, the connection was: Frank Kramer films in 1962 all starred Brad Harris who was born in St Anthony, Idaho -> St Anthony was from Padua, Italy, where Galileo lectured at the university and that's where that Anatomical Theatre is - it was inaugurated in the same year as the Pisa Cathedral.
^ me trying to organize clues in my head
1315 - Dante moves to Verona as a guest of Cangrande della Scala. Works on Purgatorio and Paradiso, and composes the Questio de acque et terra.
But how does it connect with Dante's 9 Circles? I only said it looked like it, but was there any real connection? Or was just yhat the connection?
Lol I talked about Dante interface with a guy (that was the manager of an audio service) not so long ago
Dusty said dont go down the the circles of hell though...
Yeah, because its Dante related, not the circles
i dont see it
Yeah, I agree. Maybe Dante is the wrong path. We should probably focus on composers or compositions, as per Dusty
And also that the passcode could be more than one word without spaces
the answer is probably on the Padlet ><
I've been thinking about the bullets in the images - in the last one they definitely look like ships in a sea with islands. We also have the link to the spanish candy - maybe them looking like boats also points us to Spain with the Spanish Armada? Perhaps it's a Spanish composer?
Some spaghetti westerns were made in Spain
yes
Lawrence of Arabia (1962) spaghetti western movie
it has a scene in spain
There were actually loads of them - A Fistful Of Dollars - probably the greatest western of all time - was filmed there.
and best music score Ive listened to recently imo
i feel so lost lol
same
I really find one message interesting.. the tier can be solved just from one image, such as just the Candy image or the Extra Candy image
whats 10-10x10+10= just wanna see the answers people have xD
And Latin must still be a clue
nice
so many people before would say 100 and id be so confused to how they got it xD
10-10x10+10= 10 - 100 + 10 = - 80
Latin words for Spaghetti could be = spacelli or spacellus ? related to the spaces clue?
trying to relate latin and music to spaghetti = "Etymology
Plural of spaghetto, diminutive of spago (โcord, stringโ), from Latin spacus (โstringโ)."
Dorothy L. Sayers wrote a translation of Dante's Divine Comedy in 1962. She is also the author of 11 short stories about Montague Egg, a fictional amateur detective.
What's her signature?
remember the signature guys, that should point you to the final clue
there are also spanish versions of spaghetti western and they are called chorizo-western or paella-wester
in japan they are macaroni western
japanese made also a parody about it and it's called noodles-western lol
im just reading the italian wiki about spaghetti western
same!
about the notes we have no news about that?
RIP ahaha XD
I remembered about a music box that works with a paper punched with holes
Just looking at the corner of the Extra Candy image, it looks like there is more pencil writing that is part of the same document the signature is on (and superimposed on the floor boards/tabletop) - here it looks like it could be an "ES" which could point to Spain again.
like one of these
A Symphony to Dante's Divine Comedy, S.109, or simply the "Dante Symphony".
I thought s109 was the password for a second ๐
theres other things in that shade of grey too
Yeah, it definitely looks like some sort of document which is signed in the lower right
(Sorry, didnt saw I still had reply marked D:)
to me looks more ATX than AEX or 0TX/OTX
egg
B.F.E
Candy_01 (the one with the ak only) the bottom hidden hole code
I just found this on the Wikipedia page you sent on the Anatomical Theatre of Padua:
"Furthermore, anatomy lessons were the only form of practice lessons in the study of medicine, and the theatre made them look like a real ceremony.[27] The theatre is also linked to the number seven. Its rings, seven in number, can be connected to the seven skies of Empireum, or the seven pits of Hell in Dante's Divine Comedy."
I guess it is connected after all ๐ค
I think that's almost definitely music notation because it plays a decent tune when played out - whereas if it was letters making words, we'd expect it to be all over the place when used as music
Yes, those two are, but I think Dusty was pointing us away from that with the music clues (twice)
Hmmm yeah, makes sense
Good night, going to dream of Dante and his egg
GN!
gn!
Good night!
i think the same
Good luck solving the Easter Egg guys, I have other things to do now, hopefully it's solved by tomorrow! ๐ช๐ป
We'll try!

I feel like we should get it from the Extra candy image, 3 obvious clues ( 33 11-XXV Signature) plus the filename Extra Candy and the arrangement of items in the image...
I really feel like it's U-XXV
I think so too, but it could be either
a odd way to write a U
These two marks are not seen on the other mags
with the serifs on the tips?
yeah the XXV are sanserif
The first X does have a few, but I see your point. There is a difference between them
I only bring up the U, because the U-25 is a real thing
and they used Numerals in submarine naming
and also the hyphen, which is notably different from a slash or other punctuation
I take my hyphen point back
(variation of Roman date)
Note how the bullets only appear on the white part of the floor - they look very much like boats in the water - if it was a map, this looks a lot like the Croatian coastline, but I haven't been able to match anything - I think if it was a specific map we would be able to line it up.
makes sense
that.. would be quite the coincidence if not true
not sure how any living ship's position could be represented by these bullets
maybe.. these are shipwrecks?
Or it could just be a general pointer to something relating to ships and water
more probable, yeah
the other mags are flipped over, hard to tell
I'm going to spend more time going back over concepts we tried previously (again
)
Lmaooo
true that!
Yeah I'm going back to the first image
I think one thing we sometimes miss is going back to older images in the same tier
Cuz clues are everywhere
wait what was this
same on the first image
I put all important messages in the doc
easier to read though in one go
I guess you missed Robs answer to Serp
I feel like the answer is spaghetti or something ๐ญ
wait, but didn't Dusty say we had quite a way to go?
Rob's comment from earlier today - we were close and didn't get it
We were close 12 days ago
Rob said, effectively, we (or one of us) previously discussed the correct answer, but we never put the password in
here
no on the first image
so are they saying that we did a U turn and we went way off
went "south"
Maybe got close, but changed tack
okay, so I think we should be able to solve it relatively quickly with that info
if we trace our path to the last solid thread
spaghetti westerns
I did a run through from the start a few days ago, wondering this, and didn't get it. 3rd time is a charm, maybe...
western (theme), and spaghetti (flour + egg..?), and F Kramer (director known for them)
add them together and we have spaghetti westerns
also am I correct in assuming it's a word?
(by his phrasing at least)
I don't want us to be stuck again ๐ฅน
okay.. we have to think simple
we went too far off track
1A was pretty easy in hindsight
1B will probably be the same
well its hard as they say, but we were very close
One clue was the word Aethusa
a meteor is called 1064 Aethusa
the password was 1064
Rob thinks 1B is 'way too easy'
"But its hard"
from just the first image that is
all I know is we'll be kicking ourselves once we find the answer ๐ญ
Spaghetti are just flour and water
yeah, you're right. usually spaghetti is just flour and water. 'Spaghetti Western' did seem like a really clear connection though
So fresh pasta is usually made with eggs, but spaghetti is a dry pasta which it's extruded and then dried.
But there is an exception "Spaghetti alla Chitarra" (Guitar Spaghetti) Is a fresh version of it (made with flour+eggs) thicker for sure, tasty also ahah
okay, all I know is within the first/second image, we literally mentioned the password already
now we can either **1) **input every keyword which we've said so far, or 2) use the new clues to form an actual connection
new clue?
Where new clue
What if there is no password?
And it's more like, u can't find everything yourself
"I first thought 1B was too easy since you kind of mentioned the actual password.."
"You were actually really close already with the first image"
we never really made any real connections with the Candy images
so I assume it's the first image
"In these muddy waters many men found death at the Battle of Montecatini in 1315. It is thought that Dante Alighieri participated in this battle." Dante just won't quit.
Dante stop believing
I honestly think the reason that the egg is there in the egg + "flour" = spaghetti equation is that.. eggs are a part of the game
This is new, imma try everything again tomorrow
so when they get the opportunity for an egg appearance they use it
I mean, if we assume spaghetti is the intended answer, then putting flour + water is pretty generic
we'd probably go "orange juice" or something haha
we went from dildo to spaghetti in a day, love this community
whats that
just a crude drawing I made
ahhhh
yeah might be good to go back to spagetti stuff
my prof was talking about spagetti western yesterday haha
idk how successfully they'd be able to do flour + water (to mean spaghetti)
just mentioned it
your professor is an Embark agent ๐ต๏ธ
nhaahahahah
ill ask him tomorrow whats the password
Talking about spaghetti, there is a famous old Italian film called "un americano a Roma" there is a pretty famous scene where he eats spaghetti.
gonna head to sleep now, but I really wish you guys the best!
A possible path from Kommissar X and music and 1962 - Kommissar X was influenced by James Bond. The James Bond theme was composed (mostly) by Monty Norman in 1962. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monty_Norman
Monty Norman (nรฉ Noserovitch; 4 April 1928 โ 11 July 2022) was a British composer, musician and singer. A contributor to West End musicals in the 1950s and 1960s, he is best known for composing the "James Bond Theme," first heard in the 1962 film Dr. No. He was an Ivor Novello Award and Olivier Award winner, and a Tony Award nominee.
@timid solstice You can remove the "SR |" if you want, I only use it so Saint Rob guides me on these Easter Eggs hunts ๐
Could that be "II-XXV"? ๐ค
Yeah, this was spotted when the image first came out. It could also be U-XXV
German submarine U-25 was one of two Type IA ocean-going submarines produced by Nazi Germany's Kriegsmarine. Constructed by DeSchiMAG AG Weser in Bremen as yard number 903, U-25 was commissioned on 6 April 1936. It experienced a short, but successful combat career, sinking eight ships and damaging one.
Yeah, I remember that. But I don't remember it being considered a 2 in roman numerals, just an 11 or a U
I was looking at Canto II, that's when I got that idea. I still think Dante's got something to do with this ๐
It seems weird to me that she mentioned the circles of hell, when we never spent that much time on that, it was almost a passing comment. I don't see why she would would mention it so we DON'T take a look at it
But of course, I might be wrong, and she was actually trying to point us away from it ๐
Iโm with serpenger ^

I typed in the name of the the Kommissar-X 1315 book and its author, and "Once Upon A Time in the West" (1968 Sergio Leone western) is included in the search results - no idea why that would be... looking now...
Might have something to do with your cookies, I tried it in incognito and I don't get that in imdb
And the only things I get with the title of the Kommissar X 1315 book is this:
I wondered that.
Yeah, I think so.
Yeah, itโs a good list eh. Still not giving us any breakthroughs though.
Iโve trawled through loads of composers from these and the spaghetti westerns and not found anything.
Re-reading robs message with post-sleep clarity makes me think like this:
- We had it figured out before Candy dropped
- It has been written in chat already
- Itโs digits we are looking for, hence the password/passcode comment.
Why digits
[โฆ] BTW you were actually really close already with the first image, I first thought TIER 1B was way too easy since you kind of mentioned the actual password (or is it a *passcode *@mortal ivy .?!) buuut then for some reason it went southโฆ ._.
I feel like him bringing up โor is it really a passcodeโ when it was only digits last time, is a way to let us know that we are looking for a numerical code
Oooh
Are passcodes digits only
I'm not a native English speaker so I get confused in the nuances haha
Neither am I ๐ I would say that it really depends. For many password and passcode is synonyms. But there isnโt a true clear answer.
However, when you create a passcode on a modern device, that is only digits. Whereas passwords allow all characters
Secondly, due to their lack of complexity passcodes are natively less secure than passwords
Here's an easy visual example: 8 lowercase random letters or 8 random digits.
Since there are 26 letters in the english alphabet, there is 26 different options for every character in the password.
But since there only exists 10 digits (0-9), an eight digit long code only has 10 possibilities on any given character.
I'm too lazy and not great at traditional math, so I'm unsure what that equals in "power of" language but whatever ๐คท
Hmmm
I dunno about if complexity changes is it's digits or letters on the EE itself
But this makes sense
Imagine password is just 13151901
it's easier to find a 4-6 digit long code than a random word/phrase
Ye
like 1064 from aethusa, could have been guessed manually, but no one would get aethusa from just typing random letters
Right
But if it was aethuda it woulda been the same
No one woulda guessed aethuda BC we had to come to it
S*
I'm jus tryna confirm if it's letters or numbers
I think I'm just misunderstanding here lol
Sorry
I don't think we can confirm anything, but I would guess based on robs choice of words that we are looking for a numerical code again. As that is much easier to just see and try to type in. But that doesn't mean that it cant be letters
My thoughts is just this:
If we notice that Dante's Day is on March 25 and something about that is the correct password:
- How would we know whether it's dantesday dantes-day march25 etc
- If it's digits, then we just try what makes sense like 0325, 2503 and so forth
And on that note, I find it peculiar that Dante's Day and the Pisan New year share the same day
Here is when I discovered hidden stuff in the Weapon image (11th oct) #easter-eggs message
-- The answer lies somewhere between here --
And here is when rob dropped Candy (14th oct)
#easter-eggs message
rob said that at first we spoke of it, but then we went south. I would assume that means that spagetthi western is when it went south.. But that's just my two cents ๐คท
Hahaha samee
This makes sense
I'm with you on that it's probably digits
Darnoux knows the answer haha
We also have a XXV on the table which is 25
Not really... A single word password is tougher than a 4 digit pin code but weaker than a 6 digit one
4 numbers pin code combinations: 10.000
6 numbers pin code combinations: 1.000.000
single word passwords: +150.000 words in the english alphabet, but with a dictionary attack you start with the most common ones and with a minimum characters, i tried something below
I downloaded a file with a total of 333.333 words in it
Excluded the ones that are less than 4 characters long and kept the most used ones
There are about 30.000 words left that fit this criteria
The less common ones in this list are still pretty much rare in our life
newham
energie
radiographic
kinematics
errol
vagabond
otabletest
isobaric
gratuitos
innd
eads
personalise
consecrated
oscillating
patenting
reciprocating```
(least common in the 30.000 words left)
I'm not taking into account capitalization though
Good morning divine comedians!

Was there a composer for the music?
A couple of them yeah
Didn't go down that path yet
There's a Dante's Inferno easter egg in CS:GO which is fittingly in a map called Inferno
There's a programming language called Malbolge based on the eighth circle of hell, which is intentionally designed to be painful to code with.
One of the images there is nine bullets. Maybe referencing the nine circles of hell. In the other image there is seven bullets, which I would assume is a reference to Paradiso (the seven spheres of heaven)
Maybe the archipelago you mentioned is actually clouds in heaven?
And perhaps in the other image, the wood grain is actually the topology of hell
or something like that
I'm gonna go down this path for a while

Paradiso (Italian: [paraหdiหzo]; Italian for "Paradise" or "Heaven") is the third and final part of Dante's Divine Comedy, following the Inferno and the Purgatorio. It is an allegory telling of Dante's journey through Heaven, guided by Beatrice, who symbolises theology. In the poem, Paradise is depicted as a series of concentric spheres surrou...
Apparently there are actually 10 circles of heaven
I don't know where I got seven from

Hereโs a list of Italian films made in 1962. Maybe we should look at the composers from all of these? I feel like we need to try some new paths with the clues we have. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Italian_films_of_1962
The following is a sortable list of films produced in Italy in 1962.
The Wikipedia page of the Anatomical Theatre of Padua says:
"The theatre is also linked to the number seven. Its rings, seven in number, can be connected to the seven skies of Empireum, or the seven pits of Hell in Dante's Divine Comedy.". Why seven? Aren't there ten and nine respectively?
Oh haha yeah maybe that's where I got it ๐
Thanks Serp!
Yeah it's a bit odd that article says seven
Surely an article on Wikipedia wouldn't have incorrect information
Rob probably changed it to mess with us ๐

Next he'll end a sentence without any dots
One interesting bit is that the circles of heaven are named after celestial bodies
Iโm still checking out the 1962 Italian film list, but these might be useful: https://interlude.hk/twinkle-twinkle/
This is a list of minor planets named after people, both real and fictional.

Not sure if it's a coincidence, but: Rob sent the second image the same day that Duh and I talked about Dante's Circles of Hell. We pretty much dismissed that as a clue back then, but maybe Rob sending the second image was to guide us to it? ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ
So it's come to this... ._.
clearly one of the films directed by frank Kramer that is gladiator based. like "the ten gladiators"
rob literally said we almost solved it initially, we need to go back and follow those clues and stop bringing in new things
79 A.D. (1962)
The Old Testament (1962)
The Ten Gladiators (I dieci gladiatori) (1963)
Roma. L'antica chiave dei sensi (1984) - Senator Lucius
thisi s probably all that has to do with the roman empire of Frank Kramer's work

XXV is 25 in roman numerals
Il vecchio testamento, English title The Old Testament is a 1962 Italian/French widescreen international co-production epic shot in Yugoslavia that was based on the Maccabean revolt against the Syrians of 166 B.C. It was directed and co-written by Gianfranco Parolini and starred Brad Harris in one of their frequent collaborations.
Ahh so 11-25
November 25?
I went back to find older messages
These caught me eye
If the password/pincode is a date... Which format should it follow? DDMMYYYY?
ISO 8601 most likely
YYYYMMDD, iso8601 as flex said

this is from the 10 gladiators, it feels like the best bet. But I can't figure out anything that is accepted by the website
As there are prayer beads ๐ฟ and 1962, roman clue Iโm thinking the Old Testament
But we can narrow it down for sure to a connection to these films
Hello, any news? I got back from work just now
It really is ๐คฏ The spartan NamaTama and us solving it before the 14th october (when candy dropped)
Helped us nothing*
New clue, Roman Soldier
And it will hurt us
Oh nice ahahah
So it's going to be something so painfully simple/obvious and we are going to feel torment (of the mind)
Rob is probably laughing his ass off already
He's been doing that for the last two week. Now he is stressed that we aren't keeping the schedule with solving clues
Does the X on sherif badge stand for 10 as in Ten Gladiators ๐ค
I'm sure it's simpler than it looks, but getting in late like i did isn't helping. I can't really wrap my head around all the clues
rob said that we had it solved before the second image was released, and then we went the wrong direction. So it was something that we wrote in chat between 11th oct and 14th, and tied to the yellow OSPUZE_Weapon image
If you wish to try to get some kind of chance of catching up
the old testament isn't an option.. its not related to the roman empire
Ok good to know
Yeah, i've read that, i'm also reading the google doc
Caligula's Slaves: Directed by Lorenzo Onorati. With Robert Gligorov, Sandra Venturini, Aldo Ralli, Francesco Romei. Young, sadistic and uncharacteristically introspective Caligula falls for a black slave girl who serves as exotic dancer at his court. However, she's secretly working for his cousin who plans to overthrow him. Will love conquer all?
this might be a little too erotic
but Frank Kramer was an actor in this one
so.. let's just say.. i doubt it ๐
Worth checking for research purposes

What was mentioned between 11th and 14th related to these movies
Lmao ๐คฃ
Gianfranco Parolini was born and died in Rome too. So, it could be someone he worked closely with or knew.
There is a small X on the rope that attaches NamaTamaโs spearhead to the handle.

what if the spear means that its something that SPEAR wrote llol
11th line of Canto XXV
"To burn thyself to ashes, since thou hast"
Has anyone investigated/analysed the new image

i haven't really said much, just helped with images
Iโm done travelling now so can jump on laptop and inspect

In 330 AD Constantine was the Roman emperor. He is not the password.
sorry, jumped on the EE hunt these past few days
no worries, you good!
;-;;
theres not many things we talked about between 11th and 14th
theres gotta be smth we're missing
The answer?
Today I learned that 'caco' means 'shit' in Italian
Not exactly
that's not what it means in Spanish, at least Caribbean Spanish
"caco" is a less used form of the verb "cago" which means "taking a shit", "io cago" translates to "i shit"
It's also a fruit (the kaki)
im slowly coming to that conclusion haha
Can't wait to say "io cago" next time I get up to use the bathroom and someone asks where I'm going ๐
i suggest "vado a cagare", it's a better form ahahahha
We also use a lot "vai a cagare" to tell someone to go f*ck themselves
https://conjugator.reverso.net/conjugation-italian-verb-andare.html
Vado = first person singular
Vai = second person singular
Va = third person singular
Andiamo = first person plural
Andate = second person plural
Vanno = third person plural
This is the present form of the verb "andare" (to go)
add "a cagare" to them based on who's your target
To add to the EE hunt discussion, based on the fact that there is a lot of clues that point towards Italian stuff, if you need help with something in Italian feel free to ping me
So the reason I brought it up is because I found this
La materia della Divina commedia di Dante Alighieri, dichiarata in VI tavole, by Michelangelo Caetani (1804โ1882)
Plate II
Next to number XXV
Ohhh, okay. Caco in this case is one of the damned that are assigned to that specific Bolgia (the "section" of hell) and where they're found inside the Divina Commedia (the "Canto" behing the "chapter")
In this case it's not used as a verb, it's the name of the character
near Caco there are a lot of other characters that Dante encounters during his journey, some actually existed, and some come from fantasy/mythology
Maybe there is someone in the list that we encountered in another clue?
I feel like Dante's inferno it's not really relevant to the hunt, seems a bit too far fetched based on the padlet i'm looking at
I thought that was "vaffanculo" ๐
Ho studiato Italiano nella scuola per due anni, non parlo molto, ma capisco cuando altri persone parlano
(Not sure how correct that is ๐ )
One thing we touched on during the time Rob said we missed the answer - and didnโt go into really - was The Great Famine of 1315. Someone also mentioned the Hunger Games, which is a confirmed influence on the game. The author of The Hunger Games also drew influence from Roman gladiators. Iโve just tried several passwords around this without success.
Vaffanculo is short for "vai a fare in culo", basically the same
Yeah, I knew that. I didn't know that "vai a cagare" was also used
It's pretty good for being only two years of learning, even more if it's not in an environment where it's spoken daily
Thanks! I speak Spanish, so that helps ๐
1315 is surely important, we just gotta figure out where to use it
Plus, I was born in Argentina, so we get a lot of things from you guys ๐
Oh yeah, Argentina has a lot of Italian descendants! I would love to visit, maybe one day
Yeah, most of us have Italian ancestry. I'm 50% Italian, for instance ๐ '
I do believe you ahahaha
could it be...
