@zealous plank I finally played Nightreign dlc with another person from my SoT days and it's so good! I love the new map (not really a shifting earth lol), new structures are great, new characters are really fun, and the new bosses are incredible. We're currently hardstuck on the second boss lol, it's way harder than even Night Aspect, which I kinda expected but... Massive amount of hp and basically 1-2 shots every single character at lvl 15

also I just played 5 hours straight without realizing it, I might be cooked

@zealous plank we beat dreglord. Got an absolutely golden run where we hit 4 evergaols, all were level 15 with like two to four hundred thousand extra runes, and we had max flasks. I ended up with like 20% extra stamina, 15% extra hp, and improved flask healing. That boss is so fun

That new shifting earth is hard but def the best rewards in the game. I think once we learn the crystal locations the meta will be getting all that done on day 1 then spending all of day 2 clearing out the two colosseums. It gives like 5 legendary drops and tons of runes, with legendaries ranging from weapons to wending graces

we already trying to get the crystals done day one, but sometimes they just don't show up on day one? Like I check a spot where I know a crystal has a chance to spawn, nothing there. Don't think too much about it, going along with the run. We don't find 4 crystals on day one - check map on day two - crystals exactly where I checked before... Head over there, crystals magically appeared out of thin air

It says “unlocked workstations” as in you start with your level 1 benches

it means unlocked. I don’t know if you remember because you probably breezed through the level so quickly, but you had to level your raider level up to unlock the ability to make the level 1

now, after reset, you do not need to level to rebuild those workbenches. You just need the materials, which takes no time at all.

Embark has dropped the ball on the Expedition in a lot of ways. Communication has been poor to borderline nonexistent and unless you're in the discord or watching their website you get no updates on what's happening.

They took that off the list when the window opened, which sucks and it definitely reads like you get to keep your benches

yeah, it’s not made for everyone. I enjoy it but you’ve got like that repetitive grind. If you need a lot more variety it’s probably not gonna be your deal. i just like wandering and scavenging.

I will say I do like the art style of marathon. I know not everyone likes it but I like this weird futuristic thing is 3-D printed aesthetic. Even your bodies are 3-D printed copies, covered in corporate logos

it is def a more casual friendly game. I play like 30 different games simultaneously so I only play arc raiders a few hours a week so the content is more than enough for me

my hope is that they upped the difficulty of the arc later. I don’t know if you’re familiar with how they trained them, but they used machine learning and went through millions of iterations before the machines taught themselves how to fight. But they have them paused at a specific level so that means at any point, they could flip a switch and set them to a much higher level that has been trained millions more times.

so they basically have an internal difficulty slider that they can set now to adjust how smart they are

you can definitely tell that marathon is keeping close eyes on arc raiders from those notes lol
