It would not start without a controller being connected.

I connect a controller, game starts.

Game does not respond to controller input.

Game has no options to check and set keybinds, only preset control layouts.

I uninstalled skate.

If you're using a dualshock 4 (ps4 controller), I used the custom input or whatever it's called on steam and it worked (I never tested the game without that so it might just be steam that made it worked)

I had the game installed via EA's platform, and was using a Trust controller. Never had a game not recognize any input.

Weird thing was, that the moment I was in the game, the character would basically fall on their face and try to roll, and then freeze. Every time, all the time.

That's probably why. When I played (the playtest) on ea's launcher, it wouldnt let me play with my controller but it works on steam.

i have the game on steam and my offbrand xbox 360 controller works perfectly fine lol

so it must be your trust combined with ea launcher, steam has its own controller input feature which probably makes it playable for me and would for you too

consider re installing skate on steam this time, it might fix the issue, its only 9 gigs anyway so if you own interned speed better than a 18th century horse carriage then you'll be fine

I never bought a deluxe edition ever, but if the skins that comes with the deluxe, can be bought just by “playing the game, and not spending money” turns out that its not that of “premium” if other players can get it for free… Honestly I would rather grind for it. Not just be one of the first ones to have it, then everyone else can have it eventually, that loses its “premium” value.

For what I understand Its just like buying, GTA shark cards, everyone can get it by grinding and playing the game.

Game is fun but the story is lacking. Revenge plot is very overdone, the whole “he killed my whole family so I will destroy his” is just stale at this point. That being said, the gameplay is superb, and I enjoy the different fighting style of Atsu. I haven’t obtained all the weapons yet, but I do like how you’re able to change your weapons instead of the stances in this one. Really fun swapping during 1v5 situations, makes the gameplay more dynamic.

Big complaint I have, is that so far it seems like everyone is out to kill you because they “recognize you from the poorly drawn picture on the bounty board,” give me a break. Yes, I know there’s not many women out there killing people with samurai swords in that time period but I just hate that EVERY single person will start out neutral towards you only to want your head five seconds into the conversation, and the fact that it keeps happening is laughable. Also, tired of AI not seeing that there’s a dead body right next to them in plain sight after I slay their friends

I’m looking at the wipe system that is being described for arc raiders and I’m wondering about a possible flaw. It says that you commit resources over the course of 8 weeks most of which looks like it’ll be crafting items. Further into the project it’ll probably take higher tier items like parts from more deadly arc (idk but that’s what I would guess). Then at the 8th week you can commit to the wipe and start raiding with a clean slate with no stash or levels. I love the optional wipe system approach opposed to the mandatory wipe system that most extraction shooters do but the flaw I see with this is it seems like there’s a way to get around the stash part of the wipe. What’s to stop you from going into a raid with a friend, bring all your high tier weapons/items, drop them for your friend, immediately extract, commit to your wipe, then go into another raid with that friend and have them give all your loot back to you? I might have missed something in the post they made this morning but as far as I read there really wasn’t anything saying that they were preventing this.

I agree but I also don't really see how it matters much. Whenever there's a wipe, especially with it being voluntary, you'll have to expect that there are people out there with better gear than you. Which in general is just the normal state of the game, so in other words, what difference would it make for the general population? Especially with rewards being cosmetic or non-consequential in nature, it doesn't seem likely to affect me much at all if someone else "games" the system. I see this as more of a personal preference issue. For me, starting over would actually be beneficial to the longevity of the game and make it fresh again, as opposed to just being maxed out forever.

Well I mean ofcourse you’re always gonna run into people with better gear than you that’s just how it works but my point is more about the principle of the wipe. If you wipe then you shouldn’t have sets of high tier gear waiting for you. And I would say it does affect you at the start of a wipe. Atleast for the first few days you should only run into a person with good gear every once in a while aside from the people who don’t wipe but that number should be low. I can totally see a lot of people setting up wipe gear with lvl 4 epic/legendary weapons and just absolutely dominating the start of a wipe and they would be the players you run into most of the time for the the first few days. I agree that the optional wipe helps with longevity but not if there are work arounds for it. The game isn’t “fresh” if you have shit waiting for you.

and during the time when they changed arc from f2p to 40$ and from PvE coop to PvPvE extraction it was really hated and no one liked this at all and i couldn't see a way for it to be something best i predicted back then was just a sad release and the game vanishes

but damn man now arc is setup to crush numbers and even BIG billion dollar studios are afraid of it affecting their games

Indeed. Had Eternal on Gamepass but had to buy it fr this time. As for GoW, it's my first time owning a GoW game and it is fudging epic. A bit basic in terms of combat but the cinematic style of the game+graphics+story+execution mechanic makes up for the simple combat style
