SO, my concord hot take, they killed it too early. Why? one of the Love Death and Robots crew's new show, Secret Level, is about Concord. if it's quality, and actually gives those characters... character. a reason to care even, then killing it was a massive mistake. the sales for Fallout 76 spiked when the show was good, and that game is barely playable unless you're invested.

if this episode is like, the best one of the series, concord WILL go back on sale, and it might fail all over again if they dont commit.

Well, Firewalk and Sony is giving Concord a rework, but... I'm expecting it to be reworked into a Destiny PvP/CoD like game.

The biggest reason for its failure is that it was a game hopping onto a genre that's been oversaturated by other games (paladins, overwatch, marvel rivals, etc.). Oh, and it's character designs were really NPC-coded.

Even if the Concord episode is good, idk if that'll really help sales.

Doesn't help that Concord's reputation is so damn low that I'm pretty sure that no one even wants it to come back at all.

8 years and $400m resulted in what people call a massive joke of a game that may have only done more damage to Sony than how much the Helldivers 2 PSN requirement controversy did.

Not to mention that, the last cod I played I didn't even need to install a separate app and use separate credentials for an Activision account just to play it, but for Watch Dogs 2, this was the case (I needed both a separate Ubisoft account and to download the launcher separately AFAIK, maybe I'm not remembering things correctly, but Ubisoft did things in a particularly inconvenient manner)

pretty similar to Hotline I'd say (though haven't played that but I know how it goes), it has some roguelike elements btw so each time you die have fun with a retry
but unlike Hotline, you don't die from one hit, nor do your enemies, and you also have a roll dodge and time slowing skills, and you need to pick up new weapons because you can reload most only once (and if you reload one bullet in, say goodbye to the earlier mag because the rounds do not transfer)

If the market wanted me to like and play BRs and extraction shooters, they should make 5 year old me play Quake and Unreal when it was still hugely populated until I'm either really good at it or I swear to never touch FPS again from it.
