Something very similar happened to The Finals with 3rd party app, that could remap keyboard + mouse input to controller and people were playing with an aim assist without actually using the controller. It wasn't anything new. And it didn't exist just in The Finals. However only recently it got some real public attention.

I believe people should be aware of that and they should make a serious drama around it. I simply can't see any other way, that could force gaming companies to take security way more seriously. In a lot of cases, they don't even have any security team.

we can duel if you want, xonotic, warfork are two decent quake based and open source . The only quake with some kind of characters customization is quake champion . QL is more OG the customization is mostly done by yourself via modding or command line for advanced settings.

FFA are mostly about map control, start with 2 spawn and set up your rotation between them.

be on time and deny people on those, do not focus on killing but staying alive and the control of your spawn once you handle it , add another etc. When spawning do not engage fights , ur a gnat to a fully stacked player + stronger weapons so the first thing upon spawning is to get that shield up or one of the holy trinity weapons.

heard dragon's dogma 2 uses denuvo. here's what i have to say about it:
People who pay for a game deserve to be able to keep it for as long as they possibly can. Denuvo is holding that entire concept hostage, which we've agreed for centuries as a fair deal - buy a painting to pay the artist, you keep it. Denuvo's main backers are rich and greedy executives scared of losing pennies over art they've likely contributed little to.

otherwise, just make games either free to play (with microtransactions that aren't too heinous) or reasonably priced, and if you have to use DRM, just use the one that's on steam games or similar. denuvo and widevine are excessive (speaking of widevine, don't offer all your content only on streaming services, warner brothers and the like will shut your studio down and your beloved content will stop being available)

It's basically some legalized mafia bs IMO "we'll take it back even if you pay for it". The main projects that use Denuvo are big titles, all because some execs are scared of losing pocket change they can make back in the next quarter

Steam DRM is much less bad. Ideally no DRM is best IMO, but I can see the role Steam has played in making paying for games more convenient than piracy.

It can be cracked, but many Steam games are reasonably priced and offer good experiences. To make it uncrackable requires making the game run like a slideshow, something you'll only ever do if you're a greedy POS more interested in profits than optimization, and aiming for those whose computers can run it well.

Good news lads Mark Rubin posted update regarding of XDefiant

We have an update coming soon. (probably this coming week) I know we've been silent because to be honest there isn't much to talk about. I know people just want to see the game ship and so do we.

I can't wait to ship just so we don't have to talk about ship dates anymore and we can talk about more important stuff like gameplay balancing or new content/modes/maps, etc. 🤣

Just to be clear we are not just sitting around with the game fixing every last little bug. Nobody launches perfect bug-free games. We do our best but it's just not realistic to think that. We had major technical issues that we found right before we launched that had to be fixed.

And that's what the team has been working on. And they are not just minor bug fixes but major infrastructure and full system overhauls. The game remains the same that you played already which we have strived to make as fun as possible which we feel confident about.

So aside from questions about launch which I can't talk about, I'm happy to chat about most anything else related to the game.

For instance, I can confirm that no push has been made to put SBMM into the game. Our Unranked playlists will still have no SBMM and you will get the variety of gameplay that you see when there isn't SBMM.
