I'd argue it is a direct improvement over sniper, very similar DPS, but with a highly forgiving quick draw to finish off a low health opponent, and infinite ammo for no risk spamming.

most the time the difficulty silder is shit cuz just live longer and hit harder not much else so i get it but not everygaem is going to have complex combat or needs it to be good

soldier 1 goes thru a doorway, following where it last saw you, it shits out a little invisible thing on the ground that makes that node cost ALOT more in terms of movement...so as far as the AI is concerned, going around a wall instead of straight through the doorway 'costs' less so to speak, so it goes around the wall, since going past that obstacle 'costs more' in a sense...

this system is also used in dwarf fortress, you can set 'no go' zones which actually just make that tile cost 25x the movement so dwarfs will choose a diff path that costs less and is thus 'shorter'

when they can do dmg its ok, problem is a bunch of people dashing around with 1 kill and 0 objective just because its the 'meta build', and if you ask anyone to maybe change classes to help balance or bring utilities like heals, everyone tells you to fuck off in chat, so welp, solo q is terrible all around

you spectate them and they have no peripheral vision and no aim, but sure, lets go sniper
