Honestly, just look up and learn anything that interest you. From there, finding a sound or instrument that makes you feel good is my advice. I love music, but realized I always resonated with the Bass guitar after trying a few different instruments. So now, whil I have 3 guitars, only my bass gets played.

You will only get better by putting the time into playing it. Everytime you play something new you have to learn new movements and muscle memory doesn't always work. So if you played the same thing over and over again, you would plateau and not see much progress. You gotta challenge yourself to play something too hard to get better.
