The Is-Ought fallacy is basically what Atheist nihilists like David Hume and other scientists encountered when they rejected the idea of God, which basically says.

1. Science observes that which exists.
2. Science cannot make assumptions without evidence.
3. Science cannot prove that the universe was the same before, nor can it prove that it will remain the same in the future.

Therefor scientists must, without evidence, assume that the universe will be constant now as it was before and is now.

This fallacy has not been remotely debunked by any modern or pre-modern philosopher or scientists, and it's still the main flaw with being a believer in scientism.
