I'm not defending stacking up because it's kinda it's own problem. If Enemy stacked with good communication, any weapon can be busted to kill single person instantly. I'm gonna call general counters so listen. 1. Stay away from the wall and floors. Most CL-40 players (even me) can't run away from the fact CL-40 is heavily dependant on enemy movement. To make it way more managable, people tends to shoot near ground or wall to make a damage because hitting moving object is fairly hard. So like I said, making a goo wall and climb up from it makes you very safe from getting damage from first place. Especially on even ground. Don't forget, it takes 2 shot to destroy goo wall by CL-40. 2. Count enemy ammo. CL-40 has one of worst reload in general. if they empty their gun then now it's your chance. CL-40 takes a fucking 4 shot to kill heavy, which takes 3.0 second to tactical reload or 4.1 second to empty reload. if they emptied their gun now it's your chance. 3. Stacking up is kinda frustrating but if enemy holds high ground, don't forget CL-40 has one of worst ttk and dps in general. Your normal weapons can damage anytime you want if they are on sight. Just put jump pad, hop on together, and place single goo wall would be perfect to make them use their precious ammo. APS would be good because even with reshaper it will takes some time to removing things.

I would say ping is the great equalizer....FPS is kind of setting specific....there are sometimes benefits to lowering graphics quality which allows lower end systems to play at the same FPS (for instance lower settings give better visibility in smoke)....M&K vs controller will always be a conflict, but in my experience M&K has better mobility and turning speed whereas controller has better (assisted) accuracy...macros are unfair hard stop....all in all, when playing fairly I think PING is the greatest detriment to determining actual skill

I am a controller player so I'll try not to input any BIAS into my response, but in my experience playing controller vs M&K (specifically in the finals) I struggle against rapid movement/rotational movement...for instance a sword player rotating around me, because the orbital direction of my joysticks at my sensitivity makes it extremely challenging. M&K allows for quicker rotation with faster target acquisition and also handles recoil better...I can admit locking onto a target in a fixed environment is 10000% easier to track with controller, but there are advantages to M&K that if used correctly would give the advantage to M&K....so in my biased opinion both have their stregnths and weakenesses

Grinding to reach the top 1 percent isn't really all that fun. I tried once. But it sucked the fun out of the finals and I took a years break because I burned out. Now I only really come back for the first week of a new season then go play other games.
